Another shining day on the jungle, Plasma awakens trying to hold his dreams but only fragments of it: two humanoid shadows, a light-blue planet and a huge explosion following great pain, that's all he remembers - 'What the hell are this images? Is this past, future or just my imagination? Am I...defective? What. Are. This? - It's not until his belly growls that he gives up on the memories and prepares to hunt for his next meal. Having experienced hunting on the plains and defeated the local top predator, a giant theropod that shoots fireballs, Plasma plans a trip to the mountains, a new ambient to explore that may have new and more nutritional prey, the mountains should be a good place to go.
Two hours later, a bored Plasma arrives at the limit of the jungle and the mountain range, a precipice separating it. Again it's scouting time, a low profile and watchful eye, learning how to move on the difficult terrain, the mist only made it more difficult and the strong winds made impossible to get a scent. The lower area of the mountains seems to have more stable paths while the upper area is covered in clouds. Plasma bets on the lower paths to find prey.
After 2 hours of prowling however, not a single live being is to be found - 'I'm beginning to think I'm doing something wrong, better go back, maybe the plains will have a better hunt' - and as soon as he began to pull back, a scream coming from the clouds above calls his attention and he quickly fly to the direction it came, inside the clouds.
The lower path was a sad grey world. The upper mountains are the complete opposite: colored by a indefinite variation of plants, the sunlight baths the whole area and turn to rainbow when touches the impossible waterfalls that the irregular formations of the shining metallic colored rocks of the upper mountains. The flora is composed by mostly bindweed and vines, and from them spring flowers of unknown colors, in many sizes and shapes, with sweet and bitter and pungent scents, fruits hanging from some of them just as variable as the flowers.
The fauna is also very present here, literally everywhere. Blue, red, green, indigo, yellow, orange, purple, white, black. Small, medium, big. Feathers, leather, scales, chitin. Herbivores, carnivores, omnivores. The variety of life forms is unbelievable. Just one thing bounds this kaleidoscope of life: Wings.
Every single living creature has adapted to live without the need to land. Plasma was astonished by this new world he found, some many life, so many prey, he is having trouble deciding his first move. His instincts tells him to attack anything that moves, but his rational side tells him to await and scout more, find the more attractive meal while unnoticed as a threat. And so he found. Among the top rocks, a lone red scaled creature, the size of Plasma, was alone inside a nest. Taking a good look he notice it is a young of the species, meaning it's parents aren't too far. Hiding on the rocks the android plans the kill. He take position. And jumps toward the prey, a moment too late. A shadow blocks the sun and the baby is snatched in an instant before something hits Plasma himself. After get some space, he sees the aggressor: a forty feet tall, three-headed black and blue dragon-like monster.
The young prey was taken from him, that alone would put Plasma in a bad mood, but this other predator tried to make him into a prey...THAT! he couldn't allow to pass. Taking position, Plasma concentrate his energy for around his body and charges against the beast, that try to retaliate with one headbutt and got one head smashed. The beast howls in pain and attack now with a double breath of what looked like black flames. Dodging with blinding speed the android now take position for another round, while the monster make a maneuver to run away. Plasma then fly in pursuit. The dragon flies through the rocks and vegetation with grace and ability, Plasma on the other hand was used to ground fights, using flight only when necessary, and therefore is having a hard time trying to follow the opponent. Suddenly the monster disappear from vision after a turn and Plasma is left floating mid-air trying to find a clue for the right direction. He smells the air looking for scent, but the winds are too strong. He try to hear the monster roars, but the echos of the fauna make it impossible to discern. Infuriated, Plasma scream in rage, he almost didn't felt the hot liquid touching his shoulder and alerting him to the danger above. In a split-second the world turns dark as the dragon close it's jaws with the android inside - 'Thank you, you stupid beast' - the head of the beast explodes revealing the bio-android well and safe inside an energy barrier - 'One left, now you can't run anymore' - Plasma takes position on a rock and wait for the monster reaction, that now with two heads destroyed, tries to run for it's life. This time he's met with a faster Plasma, who now jumps from rock to rock, making use of his extreme high agility and reaction and outmaneuver his hunter-turned-prey, charging through it's wings destroying them too, and grabbing the monster by it's back, stinging it, draining his life-force and another time proving who is the top predator!
Returning to his nest after a tiresome battle and a successful hunt with lots of new flavors, Plasma finds his nest invaded again. This time he found something on his search: a piece of material with a smell alike to the mountains. He then begins to follow the source of it through the jungle, arriving at the beach some hours later. The smell seems to go inside the ocean, but a more careful search brings Plasma to a rock like structure. A closer inspection reveals nothing out of ordinary from the rock, until, by touching a specific point on it's surface, it opens revealing a comfortable interior, clean and cozy. When Plasma tried to fit himself on the place, something burned his back. The predator turns his head to see his assailant: a humanoid, purple skin and elongated cranium, holding something pointed at Plasma. This thing attacked him, but it's weird, he senses only fear coming from the attacker, that could means only one thing: his prey.
Slowly adjusting his position to the pounce, the prey shoot again, this time the the predator avoid the shot and overpower the prey, that begins to scream loudly:
- No! Get off me! GET OFF!
'That's weird, I understand it. This being can talk to me? Why? We are not alike. Something tells me, argh...KILL!'
With a swift strike of the tail, the prey is slowing drained.
- Argh! No! Please! Not...like...th...is...
Images flow on Plasma's mind, some know, some new. One in particular shows more stable, turns useful as the bio-android begin to compact himself and enters the pod, clicking on the control panels.
The door closes, the pod fly to the sky, out of the planet and into a bigger ship.
Plasma can't wait to savor this new found meals in hope to help him with his visions.
(I'll take PL for this, please! With my LMB! Thank you!)
