The Lanza arrives! [Open/Nasu and Lanza]

Nasu couldn’t help but to arch one of his eyebrows as he heard Leena ordering one of her minions, the Kold demon one, to search for an individual she had detected as a way to train himself. ”The heck? She is ordering her minion to roam free in my planet, intercepting whatever the fuck they want? Yeah, right! Let’s have Karota handling that bullshit!” he thought to himself, as he pressed a button on his scouter, sending an automatic searching order for his Colonel. It was a good thing he could do so discretely, as he didn’t want to revel to Leena and her other comrade how much he disapproved such attitude yet. The Kold demon left, and Nasu just stared at him leaving with the corner of his eyes, but showed no emotion, although deep inside he was really irritated with his boldness.

Once inside the meeting room, Leena said that he didn’t have to make such a huge feast as she would allow her men to eat it anyway, since she thought it would be rude, which led him to arch one of his eyebrows again. – Rude? Hmph. – he said, hmphing in the end, not feeling inclined to even contest what she had just said. Then, Saki, the large black android said that, as an android, he didn’t have to eat, which was something that made complete sense, and Nasu just briefly nodded in response. Nasu sit on his chair and grabbed a glass of ale, drinking it a bit while he listened to Leena’s words. She wanted to form an alliance between her little group and the mighty Saiyan Alliance, claiming she had an army of soldiers back home, being trained while constructing their home, whatever that meant. Then, her minion, Saki, spoke too, saying him and his Kold demon friend were only loyal to Leena and mentioning the possibility of dominating the Saiyan Empire and Planet Vegeta, which led Nasu to hmph once again.

Before he could begin to answer to that almost absurd proposal, Jie Shan asked if he could chime in and Nasu nodded. – Go ahead, Captain. – he said, authorizing him to speak his mind. His point was in perfect synch with Nasu’s own thoughts and, on the inside, Nasu smiled at his words, but on the outside he kept his serious expression, and grabbed a piece of food that resembled a bread, eating it in a single bite as the hybrid continued his speech. Jie mentioned that acting against the Empire would be costly, and brought up a very relevant point about allying with people they just met. Once he finished, Nasu cleared his throat and drank another sip of his ale.

– Let me get this right, Leena of the Lanza. – he paused, staring at the saiyaness right into her eyes. – You came here to propose and alliance with us and, yet, you have but… What? Two soldiers here? And, what? Ten, twenty in training ones back home, wherever that is? – he asked, exhaling in despise. – I would hardly call that a mutual gain deal. You see, like Captain Jie Shan cleverly pointed out, there’s so much more for your group to gain than for us. Your forcers are the equivalent of maybe an elite tier squad, while we are a large and powerful faction on the universe. We have an army. – Nasu said in a rather serious tone. – We are not even. Not in the slightest. In fact, one of my Colonels. Not even my General. Is stronger than this whole group of yours alone. Don’t take that as threat, but as a solid statement that… This is not an even negotiation. – he said, leaning his back at the chair and sighing a bit. – I do have interest in waging war on Vegeta, but don’t let your minion mistake my goals! I don’t care about conquering that shithole. I would be more than happy to just blow it up and I have enough power to do that myself. But why do it now? Because we would have your aid? That’s hardly a good deal. – Nasu stated, beginning to show where he stood.

Now it was the time for their replies and Nasu was quite curious to hear what they had to say. Obviously they would try to defend their standpoint and that would definitely make things rather interesting. Although his initial despise, they were a force to be recognize in a small environment, such as a clash of squads and platoons. Leena began to explain to Jie’s inquiries. She explained that she had been betrayed by the Saiyan Empire, abandoning her to defeat an impossible opponent who happened to be the Kami of Earth, which made Nasu narrows his eyes, intrigued. ”And why would the Empire be willing to kill Kimiko in the first place? Unless they know she is my sister… But I have no intel on that matter.” he thought to himself, touching his chin with his thumb and index finger, while staring right at the saiyaness eyes. Then, she touched an itchy point and said that she knew about Nasu’s bout against Atsuko and the outcome of that, making the Overseer frown his brows a tad bit more. – You did your homework. – he limited himself to answer and, if Leena was capable of reading in between the lines, she would understand what he meant with that sentence.

Following that she began to defend her group, claiming there were more than ten of them back on Earth, under some intense training as they speak. Leena admitted the obvious saying they were weaker than the Alliance and were mostly used as a defensive force of their headquarters or so it seemed. She also pointed out that it wasn’t an elite tier group, since, from her experience back in Vegeta, the elite squads couldn’t compare to this Lanza, and in that point she was right. Vegeta’s elite consisted of people with a power level of about ten to twenty thousand. But the reality was quite different on Planet Natto. Although they had pretty much the same numbers of Vegeta, they excelled in quality of their army, and they had more super saiyans too, and that was quite an ace up a sleeve. Then, she spoke about Nasu’s words about them not being even, saying she even admitted that but justified that fact with their recent creation, and even compared it to how the Alliance started, and even did a little bootlicking calling the Alliance one of the greatest military forces of the entire universe. – Yes, we could say it started in a similar fashion indeed. – he commented, making a brief nod. Leena also said that her minion made a mistake regarding their goals and Nasu arched one of his brows. – Then tell me the real goal. – he said in a slightly ordering tone.

The leader of the Lanza revealed that their true goal was to wound the Saiyan Empire and, just like the Alliance, they didn’t conquer things. She also pointed out that, comparing with Miso and Karota, the high ranking officials of the Alliance, they also kept on growing. She said that Saki, the android there kept updating himself to grow stronger while she was, apparently, beginning to tap into the legendary super saiyan power, which made Nasu chuckle a bit. ”Twenty thousand of power level… If she claims she is beginning to tap into that power that means that this is a heavy armor. At best she is near one hundred thousand, but not quite there yet.” he made a mental note, while a small subtle grin appeared on his face.

But he didn’t say a word yet, instead, he would let her continue her speech. Leena said that the reason she wanted an alliance with the Saiyan Alliance was because they were constantly growing at a steady pace, but, in time it would be, and that was quite a bold claim, Nasu thought. She said that they would be able to conquest a whole planet, and that an alliance between them could be very rewarding, as they would be at their disposal if they ever need their help, once again putting them into even grounds, which annoyed the shit out of Nasu, but he remained there, with his grin in the corner of his mouth, going as far as to claim they would allow them to have all the credits and all they asked in return for such wonderful returns was that the Alliance helped them take on Vegeta. Then, she said that even if they didn’t want to take on Vegeta, they would still follow them as allies, but remarked that they were no vassals, something like friends, helping each other and asked if Nasu understood. But he didn’t react. Truth is, he didn’t quite understand what she actually wants. Seemed like she had a clear idea in her mind, but was going around the topic to avoid irritating Nasu.

Then she said that Saki picked an Empire’s pod reaching Nasu’s airspace and that she was doing him a favor by taking care of the intruder as they spoke, and that made Nasu’s grin disappear as he got back to a more serious and slightly irritated expression. She was bold and somehow reckless and irresponsible to think she could take such a matter into her hands, ignoring Natto’s sovereignty, but, again, Nasu waited, doing great with such a patience test he was undertaking. To end her speech, she said that if they declined, they would just leave Natto with no hard feelings. The other guy just stood there, staring at Nasu and Jie Shan, like he was analyzing them. Before Nasu reacted, though, Jie Shan spoke, and Nasu stared at him.

He was concerned about attacking Vegeta as a war would be damaging, even if they won, and there were other threats in the universe, such as the Kold Empire and the Planet Trade Organization. He spoke thinking about the Alliance and Nasu respected that but, once he finished, he raised his hand, telling him to silence himself, because he was about to speak now.

– Thank you for your placements, Captain, but let me handle this now. – he said, staring back at Leena with a serious expression. – First of all. You claim you are an ever growing force. I can accept and believe in that. But when you compare yourself to us we have a major difference in the way we came to exist. We are a nation, Leena. A nation with a cultural and racial identity, that’s why we thrive, because we are a society and not just an army. My numbers are far greater than yours army-wise, but we are not just an army. We have families, we have workers, we have scientists, we have children. That makes us an universe apart, and allow me to point out one thing! We started with this goal in mind, while you want to become a private army. This will make you differ from us and any other nation across the universe! – he said, pausing briefly. – So don’t compare us like that, nor the work of my father. I like you respect that, but don’t compare! We aren’t alike. From what I see, you are much more like a group of soldiers of fortune than anything else. You won’t ever have an identity or culture, since you are all soldiers belonging to a variety of races with a variety of backgrounds. The Alliance was formed by saiyans who grew sick of the Empire’s belligerent ways and chose a more peaceful life for themselves. – Nasu pointed out. – Also, you claim to be reaching super saiyan? Do you even know what a super saiyan is? Do you even know how to trigger it? For crying out loud you don’t have a clue, do you? I have three super saiyans here and two on the brink of transforming. We have a martial culture and a proper school to polish our soldiers skills and experience in saiyan biology and the needs. My father was a super saiyan three and you don’t even know what’s that, do you? – he said, staring her right into her eyes. – You also offend me claiming you would allow us to get all the “credit” for whatever we do together. Do you take us for the Kolds or the Planet Trade Organization who lack any sense of honor? We don’t want what we don’t accomplish on our own! Don’t offend me ever again with such a proposal! You may be getting used to talk with people without honor, but you are standing in front of a true saiyan, so treat me as such! – and his tone became much harsher at this point. Nasu even frowned his eyebrows further.

– And you forget one thing too. We hold sovereignty over our Planet. What gives you the right to send your minion to deal with whatever is going on in the Saiyan Alliance? I’m well aware of the pod and I already have people there to handle the matter as the Alliance would. You just took it to yourself to take care of that?! Are you fucking insane?! – he roared, pounding his fist onto the table. The second Nasu did that, his hair bristled and grew spiked, turning golden immediately, but there was no aura outburst of power as he did so, almost like he controlled all the rage required to ascend. His eyes became teal and his power level skyrockets many fold: he had just transformed into a super saiyan and he was still staring right into Leena’s eyes.

– Your minion will be handled accordingly to his actions and right now I can’t even guarantee for his life. Luckily, the Colonel I’ve deployed is a quite reasonable person. If he doesn’t screw up a lot, he will be mostly unharmed, but make no mistake, Leena, you are in my Planet and you hold no authority whatsoever here! – he said. – So… How about this? You submit to the Alliance, you can even keep your non-saiyan friends as part of your group and you show your worth to me! Make me believe you are worth of my time and my friendship, because, as of yet, you have just screwed up with me over and over again, even going as far as hurting my Planet’s sovereignty by deploying your minion in a mission without MY AUTHORIZATION! – and he pounded the table again, completely destroying it, showing just how angry that made him.
