Jie Shan was making his way towards the one of the Alliance Training facilities. Though he had his own private facilities in the form of a gravity chamber, he found himself eager to make use of one of the public training facilities. And he was going without his weights. Perhaps he simply wanted to show off. It was not every day he got to work without his weights, and it was even less rare that he could to show off his true power to those who were supposed to be his subordinates.
He also needed to get used to his unweighted body; His arena match with Captain Komatsu was fast approaching. And, as the Overseer had suggested, he would not be using his weights during that match. It would be foolish to do that. He would need all his power if he was going to best the other Captain. And he had every intention of doing that. Partially because he wanted the honor of being a counselor, and partially because he wanted to prove himself. The young halfblood wanted to prove himself to the crowd of Saiyans that would surely gather for their match. A shame, he thought, that he had not reached the power of the legendary Super Saiyan form yet, but he still had a few aces up his sleeve. There was that yellow power of his, that almost, but not quite, Super Saiyan state he was able to work himself into. He had also been working on developing his techniques.
Finally, he reached the training facility. And, unfortunately, it seemed that it was empty. A pity, he thought. He had been looking forward to working out among his subordinates. But, he told himself, at least that meant that he would not have to deal with anyone else. He could work in peace, and perhaps that was for the best.
And so he set to work. Jie Shan swiftly drew the blade from his scabbard and set to work, working his way through his sword drills. It felt good. It had been quite a while since he had managed to get some of these exercises in, and he had missed it. The sword was the way of life he followed, the gift that his mother had given him. And he was just trying to do right by it.
Jie Shan continued his exercises in the training facility. And every so often, Jie Shan turned his eyes towards the doors. It was almost as if Jie Shan was expecting someone to show up. And he almost wanted someone to show up. He would welcome a training partner. Training alone was good and all, but Jie Shan knew that true improvement came with working with someone else. Another person could point out your weak spots, another person could help you fix your style. And Jie Shan would like to take advantage of that help.
