Meridia
Name:Meridia
Age:19
Gender:Female
Race:Earthling
Homeworld:Earth
Starting Planet:Earth
Appearance:
Meridia is a beautiful young woman. She trains intensely every day and it shows with her nicely toned body. She is about average human height standing at five foot six inches. Her long red hair is often tied up in a high ponytail, leaving two strands to fall down onto her shoulders.
Meridia tends to wear the same outfit that she trains in which consists of a black leather chest piece, black leather pants and leather boots. The whole ensemble is accompanied by a red overcoat covering her arms and upper torso, tied below her neck.
Backstory:
Meridia’s parents were quite the unique couple for their time. Her mother being a sword smith and her father being an archer. Meridia picked up skills from both of her parents starting to create her own weapons at a very young age and becoming a sharpshooter only a few years into her teens. Her parents weren’t very strict and would mostly treat their daughter as a friend and an apprentice. She was rarely scolded and was instead thought that everyone has different paths and none of those paths are strictly the true one or good one for everyone.
She adopted this mindset and kept it throughout her life, using it as a reminder to not give herself or anyone too much importance.
She had to begin learning on her own at the age of seventeen when her parents disappeared suddenly, leaving her behind on her own. With no clue of where they had decided to go she became quite autonomous and was able to take care of herself with no aid. She dedicated her life to training in archery and the way of the blade. Mixing both together at times. She never sold her creations however and always kept them for herself for she used them in her training. Meridia was always tough on herself when it came to training, requesting of herself that she train for a minimum of fifteen hours a day.
Meridia began working as a mercenary at her eighteenth birthday. Guarding merchants became what she was most known for as a mercenary. She didn’t reject other offers however, simply picking the ones that would pay enough for her to feed herself and buy materials for her smithing. Due to her work she found herself forced to reduce her training time but would still train while on the job most of the time. She disliked working for the more egotistical people of earth’s society but would still do it quite often due to how well they paid and the fact that it gave her more opportunity.

Meridia would smile and bow her head in respect as she shook the merchant’s hand. “You won’t be disappointed sir, I offer the best services in the region and for the best prices that is.” She grabbed her bow and backpack containing her arrows, turning around to look at the merchant caravan. Three wagons dragged by bulls and five merchants, those were the things she had to protect on this day. She was confident in her ability to pull through the job but the news were filled with warning of a new band of bandits in the area. Meridia simply shrugged it off her mind and began walking as the merchant called for her, signaling her that the trip was beginning. She followed closely, walking beside the second wagon. The merchants seemed to be at ease due to her presence as she looked around. Most of them were riding on the wagons calmly chatting about things she could only assume were related to sales and the trip. The wind caused sand to fly everywhere, obscuring vision for the weaker earthlings that were the merchants. The desert they had to traverse had nothing but sand for kilometers around.
The day was going quite well, Meridia had rode with the merchants since the rise of the sun. It was now clearly 12 o’clock as she judged by looking at the sky. The sun was at it’s highest peak, shining bright upon the desert lands they were traveling. The heat would’ve been unbearable for a lot of humans but Meridia had often traveled and worked in these lands, working in the harshest of heats and even sand storms. This was all a normal day to them but the merchants on the other hand seemed to have trouble bearing with the heat, emptying a few water bottles in a simple hour. She grinned and laughed quietly, keeping to herself and finding it funny that these men could not endure through the simple heat of the desert. She remained quiet and observed her surroundings, remembering the warnings of bandits. “They must use the storms to conceal their movement and rob merchants…” she told herself as she noticed the sandstorm had weakened but didn’t seem to end.
The sun was slowly lowering itself as the day went by. The sky was a beautiful pink as the clouds covered the passing sun. The merchants had begun calming down as the temperature had gotten colder. Meridia looked around as the caravan had stopped next to a large rock formation. She walked to the merchants to inform herself of the reason why they had stopped. Learning that they were all too tired to continue, she sighed and nodded. She climbed atop of the rock formation and sat there using it as a vantage point to view the surroundings. The sandstorm had stopped only a few moments ago, leaving her a clear view of her surroundings. From this point she could have spotted anything coming their way. She looked down at the merchants who had made a fire and were feasting right below her. Her stomach grumbled at the scent of their food and she reached into her backpack, taking the meal she had prepared for the trip. She lived on a strict diet to avoid eating things that would hinder her performance at work.
She had been standing on the rock for a few hours now, the merchants having all fallen asleep. Meridia sat back down, sharpening her sword and arrows. She had great pride in her work and took great care of her creations. Meridia spent the entire night simply standing guard on the rock and sharpening her belongings. She got up once the sun began rising again. The sunrays shining against the vast the desert, bringing back the heat. The merchants began waking up one by one, eating breakfast as she climbed down the rock and stood next to the caravan ready to go once more.
Not even an hour had passed and the merchants were back to complaining about the heat already. She sighed and decided to reassure them in hope of making them be a bit quieter for the rest of the trip. “We are only two hours away from destination, please bear with the heat.” She informed the merchants, pointing to the distance as a city could be spotted now. The merchants had become more bearable as they stopped complaining, cheering up at the sight in the distance. Meridia herself had not cared about the heat for the entirety of the trip and simply couldn’t wait to get paid. As time passed the caravan would get closer and closer until they finally arrived at destination. Meridia walked up to one of the merchant, taking her payment she nodded and walked away having completed her job.
