@atsuko
It had been a bit of a while since the demonic Saiyan had had that lesson with her sister Atsuko in that... Reality Marble thing of Excaliburs. She grumbled as she got out of her bed, a hand held to the back of her head where she could feel a mild thumping. She couldn't recall drinking anything last night that could be giving her a hangover, but then shrugged and attributed it to her using that Avalon technique the other day.
"Bloody holy magic..." she muttered under her breath before standing up and going off in search of Atsuko and Excalibur to get the next lesson started. The sooner they got started, then the sooner she could be ready for anything that came to the Lookout or Earth. Whilst she didn't hold any sympathy towards humanity, she didn't feel like sitting on the sidelines in case any threats emerged that could go after her unborn child.
As far as Cambia was still aware, that red people eating scorpion crab thing was still lurking around the planet somewhere, and of course Athren could come by to pay Earth a visit at any time... she wondered how he'd react to the news that he was going to be a father. Hopefully not when he was in that strange Super Saiyan form of his, whatever that thing was. But that was a conversation for another time.
Right now though, she had to find Atsuko and get the rest of this training done... and hopefully without using that Avalon thing again, cus her head was really thumping away from the last time she'd used it. That or the unborn baby was telepathic and was having a rattle around inside of its mother's skull. Yeah, let's go with the holy magic headache excuse, that one was a bit more believable. The blonde hybrid just hoped her sister wasn't too worn out from training everyone else on the Lookout as well... or throwing a tantrum over Excalibur's rubix cube puzzles.
[Thread PL: 310,505 base. 8,073,130 in Super Saiyan 2.]
Once again, Atsuko and Excalibur were standing out in front of the Palace on the Timeless Lookout. The Albino Saiyan's power had risen considerably, both in her base form, and especially as a Super Saiyan Two; yes, she was attempting to practice her control over it once more. The Knight was currently meditating while maintaining the form. And she was making more progress with it than she ever had before... Although, there was a problem: The more she calmed down, the more the form began to dissipate. Either returning her to her base form, or merely dying down to the first form.
The Saiyan bares her teeth out of frustration, which of course causes the form to 'stabilize' again. But it was a never ending cycle. The Albino Saiyan finally lets out a sigh and just powers back down to her base form. "Damn it... I've gotten so close to controlling it. What's missing?", the Knight questioned the woman in red. The Sacred Sword merely shrugs in response. "There's nothing missing. You have a perfect control over your energy, you were able to master the first form... You're even a lot stronger than you were before. Maybe you just still need more power?"
Excalibur theorized. "You started making even more progress once you finished all of the training you've been doing with the others. So maybe that's the missing key right now, you just need more strength.", she offered her two cents on the subject. Atsuko ponders it over for a moment, before giving a small nod. "I suppose you're right. Although now I worry... It feels like my body is getting used to these extreme training sessions. I'll have to work even harder to get results now.", Atsuko would reply. And she wasn't that far off, ever since her power hit a new milestone...
300,000 Power Level, according to her Scouter. That was when her body started going through changes; the sheer power surging through her meant that she didn't get tired as often. She could keep going at... Anything for seemingly days without rest, she didn't even need to sleep as long. She wasn't losing everything that still made her mortal, but she was becoming something much more unreal. That much certainly couldn't be denied. The Knight's attention is then grabbed by Cambia wandering onto the scene. The end of their training session saw her little sister fall unconscious.
Now she looked practically hung over. Atsuko can't help but let out a small laugh. "You look like you spent the entire night drinking.", the Knight comments. "I know you didn't. It's not good for the baby.', she would soon reply as she begins to stand up. Cambia was no doubt here to continue training... Might as well get right into it, then. "I'd say that you need to rest more first, but I know how stubborn you are, so I'll cut out that entire argument and we can just get right back into training.", she would add.
Excalibur seemed to take the cue well, and reality began to shift around the three once more. They were standing inside that Reality Marble again. "Today we'll be starting on the Intermediate Level. You'll be improving your use over your stance, and Invisible Air will be made more powerful.", the Knight calmly explains. Then turning towards Excalibur, the two take stance. "You know the basics, so we're going to make it a little more complicated now. You'll want to look for any opening that you can use in order to strike more efficiently at your enemy. I'll demonstrate it for you now."
The Saiyan explained, and then the pair charges towards each other. Whereas the basic stance looked like a normal clashing of swords, this looked far more elegant. Beginning to look as if it were more like a dance. Atsuko and Excalibur, along with their respective blades acting as partners in it. A final slash from each sees them then separate from each other. The Albino Saiyan turns to her little sister. "...So yes, that means you don't need to stay to just using two hands for your sword anymore; but don't forget the usefulness in doing so.", the Saiyan would add.
"When you're ready, start showing me what you can do. Once you've grasped this lesson, we'll start on Invisible Air, then you'll need to take a short break before we start on the Advanced level.", the Albino Saiyan began to elaborate. These lessons were thankfully much shorter, but they were also more complex and taxing. But Cambia was being adamant about going through all of this training, and Atsuko didn't see much of a reason to refuse her... Other than, it really did seem like a better idea to wait until she wasn't pregnant. But that had been discussed to death already.
"She looks pretty roughed up today... You really think she'll be able to train more?", the woman in red asked, a bit concerned. "Well, I know that more rest wouldn't hurt if she's looking the way she does right now. But... I don't really think I'll be able to convince her.", the Knight responds. Excalibur lets out a small sigh. Well, maybe it was for the best in any case. This training would benefit Atsuko too, after all. They would be one step closer to mastering the Super Saiyan Two form. Atsuko really wasn't that far off from it by now.
The Albino Saiyan then began to ponder for a moment... If the previous level of training was almost too much for Cambia, what were these higher levels going to do? Especially the Mark of Mastery... Her little sister would be channeling the true power of Excalibur, after all. The Saiyan had to discard her concerns for now, she would merely have to deal with such a scenario when it came up. She did know that at least one could build up a tolerance to it... Bernael was able to master her Martial Arts, after all.
Cambia would be able to do the same, she had to believe that.
WC: 1,014 __________ Atsuko demonstrated Martial Arts [IN] with Excalibur!
The demonic Saiyan gave a small chuckle at her sister's statement. "I wish... least then this drumming in my skull would make sense." she quipped, rubbing the back of her head and scrunching her eyes for a moment before shaking her head, opening her eyes back up as her sister continued speaking. She caught something about Intermediate level, and making that Invisible Air technique stronger.
Cambia watched as the two of them clashed once more, although it looked a lot more fancy than she was used to personally. Far too much like a ballet or dance recital for her tastes. She did grin though at the mention of her being able to use her usual one handed style with this level of training.
"Now you're speaking my language." the younger sister declared, giving her blade a quick spin in her hand, her legs adopting the stance she had learned before, whilst her upper half adopted her own style. This time though she didn't power up into her full power, she kept herself in her base level. With a flick of her wrist, her sword went into a reverse handed grip, her tail flicking in the air around her.
A moment later she burst towards her older sister, her sword being brought up along the length of her arm in a supposed close reaching slash before at the last minute her grip shifted into a forward facing grip, her sword spinning around one hundred and eighty degrees to come around in an arcing slash.
The demonic Saiyan's entire body spun on the spot to give her slash an extra oomph of momentum and speed, although she doubted that it would do much against her far more well trained sister. Her tail however as she spun around would try to grab hold of her sister's arm in an attempt to divert any counter-slash that Atsuko may try to employ, whilst her free leg was brought up in a kick that was aiming to strike against the older blonde's waist, in the gap of her armour.
Attempting to learn [IN] Martial Arts
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
The Albino Saiyan moved one hand in order to catch Cambia's blade, it was already possible due to her energy, but it was further aided by the type of gauntlet she wore; effectively serving as blade catchers. If the Saiyan wanted to pursue it, she could wrestle the sword out of her little sister's hands. It turned out to be a rather intelligent counter, as Cambia had attempted to use her tail to grip her arm in the result of a sword slash. The Knight smirked as she felt the tail wrap around her arm, but her other hand was still free...
And it was the one still holding the sword, at that. First, the Saiyan raises her own leg to clash against Cambia's kick, and then moves her blade close to Cambia, but stops before cutting into her. "Very good. I even commend your efforts in using your tail as a restraint... However, your enemy will make just as many anticipations and seek to catch you off guard as well. Be careful about making too many actions that may leave you vulnerable.", the Knight lectured. Eventually she would begin to pull out of Cambia's hold, and steps back slightly. "Still, it seems that you grasp the concepts of the Intermediate Stance quite nicely."
It really was rather impressive... But skill and power still set them leagues apart. There really wasn't any particular fault that Atsuko could find within Cambia's approach, other than she assumed too much and left herself completely open to counterattack because of it. Perhaps if they were closer together in power, it would have been a far more difficult thing for the Albino Saiyan to react to. In light of that, she... Really didn't have any further lectures to give on that front. Atsuko looks over at Excalibur.
"...Hey, I'm just as stumped as you are. That's pretty much the only mistake she made, doing too much at once and leaving herself open.", the woman in red would state. Atsuko shakes her head slightly, but is in fact smiling. "Well, in case you haven't noticed it... Yes, that's a compliment from both of us, Cambia.", the Saiyan added. So with that out of the way, it was time to go over the next lesson. The Knight didn't think that her little sister would have any problems in increasing the power that Invisible Air had. So with that in mind...
"The next lesson is to improve Invisible Air. It's power increases with your skill in the Martial Arts, however it's drain on your energy also increases; so you'll want to use it wisely. Now, I'll demonstrate it for you.", the Albino Saiyan explained, then turning towards Excalibur as the pair take stance once more. The Knight would begin to gather her energy and channel it into her blade, sure enough, the winds were building up in a much greater fashion than with the Beginner level of the technique. Atsuko was using both of her hands to hold the blade steady.
"I recommend holding your sword with two hands when you do this... Otherwise the winds can fling your sword away from you. Be mindful of that.", the Albino Saiyan adds, with that out of the way, she surges towards the woman in red and begins to unleash a blinding speed flurry of slashes. The wind seemed to play a huge role in making her attacks that much more powerful, though the Sacred Sword still had little difficulty in blocking each attack coming straight for her. The Albino Saiyan then pauses for a moment, winding up her sword for a larger slash.
Upon unleashing it, all of the wind that had been built up then bursts forward in a gust of wind. Excalibur was able to block this final attack as well, but she had of course been blown back by the sheer force of it. With the demonstration finished, the Saiyan turns towards her little sister once more. "When you're ready, I want you to use that technique on me. After that, we'll be taking a short break so you can get some of your energy back.", the Albino Saiyan states. "You'll experienced being drained almost entirely of your energy several times now."
The Saiyan elaborates. "But by the end of the Martial Arts Training, you'll find that you have a greater Stamina to work with. Combined with the fact that you'll be able to fight effectively while recovering your energy... Well, you'll discover all the uses for it.", the Knight finishes with a small smirk. With all that out of the way, she holds stance and waits for Cambia to begin performing Invisible Air. Atsuko was watching her movements closely, if any mistakes were made, she would call them out, but most of the time her students put a...
Unique spin on things, to put it lightly. Cambia would no doubt do the same, but in any case, there wasn't much left for her to go over for this particular lesson. Not until she saw what her little sister could do, in any case. But given the amount of progress she made with the Intermediate Stance... Well, this should be easy enough for her, and then she would be able to learn the Advanced level. The Knight did once think that the half Saiyan would start hitting walls because of her attitude, but surprisingly enough she was soaring.
Still, the principles and philosophies that Atsuko intended for the Knights couldn't be ignored. She hoped that her little sister would at least try to follow them... Neither she or Excalibur wanted these powers to be used in selfish manners. Still, maybe all of this training meant that she would rub off on her little sister a bit. It was something to hope for, in any case. Cambia had the makings for a good life, but she did still have to want to partake in it. Though if she said any of it aloud, she could already imagine the half Saiyan rolling her eyes.
Well, she never thought it would be easy.

When Atsuko pretty much kicked her butt with the accidental opening she'd made, the younger sister gave a slight shrug before chuckling at a thought that crossed her mind. "Well, I could've shot you in the face with my free hand... although all that'd probably do is give you a bad hair day and a sooty make over." said Cambia as she took the compliment that the pair of them were giving her. The demonic Saiyan did have a little bit of a warm fuzzy feeling at the fact that she had Excalibur, the ancient sacred sword that had seen countless battles over countless centuries, stumped.
Of course, the lesson had to press on. She watched Atsuko demonstrate this stronger version of the Invisible Air technique, and observed the pair of them clashing against one another, raising an eyebrow at the literal blast of wind with her older sister's last strike which had blown back Excalibur. She briefly wondered how this technique of Atsuko's would work out with a certain someone she remembered from a while back, but chose to not bring that question up. She did absently rub the back of her head though out of sheer reflex from thinking about them though. The demonic Saiyan shook her head before taking up the stance and holding her sword with both hands.
Cambia focused on her power, and soon enough the sword's blade was encompassed by winds, first slowly but then she began to see what her sister was on about with using both of her hands. The sword was threatening to rip itself from her grip at the sheer velocity of the winds around it till she tightened her grip to rein it in. The demonic Saiyan decided that she wasn't going to waste any time, lest the blade try to rip itself free from her again. Whilst she had seen the pair of them go at it with the Invisible Air accelerating their strikes, she knew that the meat of the attack was in the final blow... so, what better way to go than just skip straight to the end?
Cambia gave a single nod before she hurled herself towards her sister, deciding to put everything she had into this one single attack. As she swung the sword towards Atsuko in a single downward strike, she felt something else pressing up against the wind as she unleashed the entirety of Invisible Air in that single blow... it felt similar to whenever she Flared her attacks, but at the same time felt different. It felt more... natural to her. It caused a brief moment of confusion for the demonic Saiyan, which no doubt Atsuko would capitalise on. Cambia would look at her sword for a moment, before looking at herself, then back to Atsuko and Excalibur. "What the hell was that?" she asked them both, trying to figure out where that extra ounce of power had come from.

This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
The Knight lets out a small laugh at Cambia's next words. "Fair enough, that would have been a good followup... However, I still had quite a ways to go before I would have my guard broken. I don't think it would have even that much of an effect, little sister.", the Saiyan responds in a calm tone of voice. After she finished that, she noticed that there appeared to be something on the half Saiyan's mind... Though what it was, Atsuko couldn't be certain. Was it about that Prince? The Albino Saiyan hoped that wasn't the case... She still didn't know how to tell Cambia about all that.
But on the other hand, just leaving her in the dark about all of this wasn't very fair either. It was a problem that she had no rightful idea how to approach and deal with. It felt like one of those situations, 'Damned if you do, Damned if you don't'. In any case, there was a time and a place to discuss it, and it wasn't right now. For just a little while longer, the Knight had to set those thoughts aside. She did intend to tell Cambia at some point... It was only fair.
The Saiyan was called out of her musings as her little sister began to channel her power into her blade for Invisible Air. Cambia seemed to be surprised by the sheer amount of power in the winds now, and deciding to breach slightly from the teachings of the technique, would skip straight to swinging her sword downwards and unleashing the full amount of the wind that had been built up. Atsuko could sense it right away; just how much extra power was packed into it. The Knight quickly moves her blade in order to clash against the wind.
The half Saiyan was able to pack quite a decent amount of power into it, and if the Albino Saiyan were just a little lower on energy, she might have actually broken through with that... Atsuko proceeds to take a deep breath as Cambia then proceeds to ask just what happened there. "That was your Warrior's Spirit. I've activated it once myself. As you grow stronger, you'll be able to pour absolutely everything you have into your attacks. It can be what decides a powerful blow, and a blow that ends the battle.", the Knight began to explain to Cambia.
"However, you should still use it wisely. If your opponent is brimming with energy, they'll be able to react to it and you won't be able to call upon that power again. Or at least, not as often.", she adds. The Sacred Sword then begins to chime in. "Atsuko activated it when the Saiyan Prince decided to try and destroy the Lookout. Otherwise, she has yet to use it again. Which makes some sense, she's only been doing training recently.", the woman in red commented. Although that brought up an interesting point that perhaps they needed to go over now that they were having a break...
The Saiyan lightly shakes her head. No, she didn't want to do that to Cambia. Today was a good day, she didn't want him ruining everything with her little sister just because he had to go and be such an idiot and get himself killed. "Yeah, I remember that.", she would comment in response to the Sacred Sword's words. "Looking back, it's a little embarrassing that I lost control of myself so easily... And I'm still struggling with that now, just with the Super Saiyan Two form.", the Albino Saiyan began to elaborate.
"Well, you mastered the first form, and we're getting very close to you being able to use the second form to nearly the same degree! If we just keep working at it, you'll be there in no time!", the woman in red replies. With that out of the way, Atsuko would turn her attention to her little sister once more. "By the way, if it wasn't clear... This is pretty much the perfect time to take a moment to catch your breath. You've completed the Intermediate lessons! That leaves the Advanced level, and the Mark of Mastery.", the Knight states.
Cambia was still a little rough around the edges, but she seemed to be adjusting well to all of this. It brought Atsuko a measure of happiness to be able to give all of this to her little sister. A good life, training to control her power... Showing her that the world didn't need to be as dark as she perceived it. More than that, the Knight was probably one of the few within their family to actually care that much. Aside from Natto, of course... Although Komatsu seemed to care for her, too. Still, she was the one looking out for her.
Just as Komatsu needed to look out for Nasu, which made her wonder how that was going. The Knight supposed that Nasu was in control of the Saiyan Alliance now, and was proving to be more than a handful. She hadn't heard anything back from her little brother, either. It always made her a little concerned, but whenever she checked up on his energy signature, he was still alive and well... In fact, he was growing even stronger. That really made the Knight wonder what was going on. There were several powers rising there, Super Saiyans, no doubt.
One of them certain to be Nasu at that. If they came for a second attack on Earth, now at the head of a Super Saiyan army... Atsuko really needed to finish training her students and achieve mastery of the Super Saiyan Two form. For everyone's sake. She wasn't going to let another tragedy like the battle on the Lookout happen. One way or another she was going to see to that. Unknowingly she had ended up falling quite silent while they were resting, the Albino Saiyan becoming quite lost in thought... Although rousing her from that wouldn't have been too difficult, most likely.
The Saiyan just couldn't help but fear the future.

When Atsuko explained what just happened to her, the demonic Saiyan couldn't help but grin. "So you're telling me, that I've got access to not just one kind of Flare, and that the one from my Saiyan blood can be used more than once if I'm strong enough?" she asked, looking at her free hand and flexing it experimentally as the whirlwind of possibilities streaked through her mind. "Oh I am going to love combining the two of them later." said the younger sister with a chuckle that threatened to turn into stereotypical maniacal laughter. When her older sister talked about that day, Cambia could only smirk.
"Well, it was the first time you actually let yourself loose properly. Could've been worse." she said. "Honestly, you were pretty well held together in my opinion. If unleashing Super Saiyan one that first time is what you consider to be losing control of yourself... you really have not been paying attention to my fits of rage." the younger sister said with a smirk. The demonic Saiyan looked around the theater before deciding to just literally grab herself a chair and sit down in it, taking this opportunity to get herself back together.
"Speaking of fits of rage, any word back yet about how our big brother's doing?" the blonde hybrid asked Atsuko as she put her feet up against the railings. "I really hope Koma took a picture of his face when he found out we were his sisters... hope he's still not sore about the whole tail thing." Cambia said with a chuckle at first, one hand resting on her slowly growing belly. "Kinda glad I'm on a different planet from him at the moment." the little sister mused, before a snarl split across her face. "I swear though, brother or not, if he tries to pull that same shit again next time he comes here when my baby's here, I will cut off more than just his tail."
As she made the proclamation concerning killing her older brother, she clutched her head as a sharp lance went through it for a brief moment causing her to yelp out in pain and grit her teeth. Just as suddenly as it had come, it was gone again... "What... what the hell was that?" Cambia asked, her chest heaving slightly as she held her head in her hand.
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Atsuko's little sister expressed more than a little glee about being able to use that extra power to her advantage... In response, the Saiyan lets out a small sigh. "Be careful about using too much power. An attack that combines both of those abilities is going to put quite the drain on you.", the Knight warned. But she somehow knew full well that Cambia wouldn't listen to her on that front. Well, there was only so much the Saiyan could do... At least her sister was safe here on the Lookout, and decidedly not causing problems among Earth's people. Both were good things.
Though much to the Albino Saiyan's surprise, Cambia chimed in with her own thoughts about unleashing Super Saiyan, and Warrior Spirit all at the same time... They proved to be rather comforting words. "I suppose... But I struck to kill. I didn't care about anything else but seeing what I perceived to be my greatest enemy lying on the ground, bleeding out in front of me.", the Saiyan admitted. "...In many ways, I still want to give him that fate. For every last thing he's ever done to me or the ones I care about.", the Saiyan added.
In any case, their discussion ended up moving right along, as her little sister proceeded to ask about their big brother. "I haven't heard anything back from him. But I can sense his energy, and the energy of the people around him... He's building an army of Super Saiyans, even Komatsu has grown much stronger now.", the Knight began to explain. "Although... I haven't heard anything from either of them. I'm expecting that there will be one more fight involving me.", the Albino Saiyan theorized in a surprisingly calm tone of voice. It lined up, Nasu really didn't like her after all of their bouts they had.
The fact that they were 'family' now probably wouldn't change that. More importantly, however... "I'm going to fight him alone if he does come to Earth. It's a matter that we've needed to settle personally.", the Knight adds. Cambia wanted to pay him back if he came here for the express purpose of causing more trouble, but... Atsuko saw the only way to end this being a personal duel between warriors. There was no way Nasu would back down from it, especially if he brought his people at his back. To refuse a request for a duel...
It showed weakness, and cowardice. He had too much pride to simply back out of it and order his army to do all the work for him. At about that point, the Knight's little sister began to react to a great pain; although neither Atsuko or Excalibur could see what caused it... It was a very sudden moment of pain, leaving just as suddenly as it had started. Then leaving Cambia to question just what the hell it was. "I have no idea... I didn't see or sense anything in particular, Cambia.", the Saiyan responds truthfully.
"Look, do you need to stop training for the day? I was going to say that we could keep at it, but... You look like you're in pretty rough shape, and I don't think more intense training is going to help it.", the Saiyan states. "I could also try to find the cause... But to do that, I would have to go rooting around inside of your head. Both of those decisions are in your hands, Cambia.", the Sacred Sword chimed in. It really was rather odd, just what was affecting Cambia so adversely? Was it the training involving the holy energy and skills?
But it didn't affect Bernael to such a degree, in fact it let him fight back against his Demonic counterpart. Unless... Cambia ended up embracing her Demonic side to such a degree that now they were too closely tied in order to be 'separated'? If that was the case, all of this would be afflicting her severely. It would only get worse the further she went along; Atsuko hoped that particular theory of hers was wrong. But then, what was it if not that? Ro'salinth playing her tricks again? As Excalibur had learned, she was closely involved with Cambia's life...
Of course, there was one last theory about what it was. Her little sister did mention taking Nasu's life, and practically as soon as she did so, that pain shot through her head. So was it the opposite? That ever since she drank the Sacred Holy Water and began this training, such negative emotions would end up harming her? "...There are several theories that I have. Cambia, you're in a rather tricky spot at the moment. You drank the Sacred Holy Water, you're taking training to wield the powers of a Holy Knight... It's possible that giving into dark urges like that..."
Atsuko began to explain. "Well, if it proves to be true; that is what hurt you. And the more you give into those urges, the more pain it might cause you. It could even kill you. The Sacred Holy Water purged the evil and sins from your body, which also allowed you to more easily take up this training.... All I'm saying is, be careful about going back to old habits, okay?", the Knight elaborates. She still didn't know for sure which one caused it, but that was a pretty solid theory in her own mind.
It lined up a bit with what Bernael was going through, too. "The offer for me to try and find the exact cause is still open... But I won't force you to accept it.", the woman in red adds. With that, the pair once more falls silent as they wait for Cambia to process all of this and take her turn to speak. It seemed that they were getting a lot more than just a bit of training for this particular session... But if it could save Cambia's life, Atsuko found it worth it to dedicate the time to this.
Now hopefully they could actually do something to help her. Maybe.

"The guy was trying to blow up your home, and try to break me to get to you, and kill you. Only fair you struck out to kill him in return." shrugged the younger sister as if it was all obvious. When Atsuko said she'd fight Nasu alone, the demonic Saiyan could only chuckle. "Good luck convincing the rest of them to keep their noses out of it then." she said.
When Atsuko and Excalibur suggested halting the training, she shook her head. "No, let's keep going. If we stop now just because I've got a stupid headache, then when would we ever pick it back up? I'm not getting any less pregnant and the longer we put this off, the harder its going to get." argued Cambia, rubbing her belly.
"As for what it is... I've got a theory. Remember how I said I'd been in Bernael's gravity machine a while back?" the younger sister asked her older. "Well, he said back then that I was close to unlocking the same thing he did. So, my guess is that its knocking around in here, trying to bust loose." Cambia theorised, tapping her skull for emphasis.
The demonic Saiyan rolled her shoulders a little before getting back on her feet and heading into the center ring proper with Atsuko. "So, before whatever party trick's bouncing around in my skull decides to manifest itself, and before the munchkin makes me any bigger, let's get this show on the road." the demonic Saiyan suggested.

"Even so...", was all that Atsuko could manage in response to what Cambia had to say. Her violence towards the Saiyan Prince was very justified. The Saiyan couldn't bring herself to disagree with any of the points, not any further than she already had, in any case. The truth was... She didn't regret her attempt at killing him. If given a second chance, she'd still take it. He deserved nothing less than that fate for everything he had done. But the Albino Saiyan did still regret what happened to everyone in the crossfire. Komatsu and Jarvis both lost their lives that day.
Yes, they came back. But death shouldn't be viewed as meaningless. Her little sister then wished good luck in regards to keeping anyone else from interfering. "Well... They do know a few things about honor. Bernael may not like it, but if I challenge Nasu to a duel, or vice versa, and the other accepts... It will be settled in that fashion. Say what you like about Saiyans, but they're predictable about pride. Nasu will want a personal fight with me.", the Saiyan made her observations about the entire ordeal. It wasn't going to be a very fun fight.
But it was a necessary one, and on that note the half Saiyan refused to stop training for now, even despite the obvious health risks she was dealing with. "Alright... But if you end up not being able to progress, or you end up doubling over, we're going to call the training off for now.", Atsuko responded firmly. Not long after, Cambia offered her own thoughts on exactly what it was that was putting her so far under the weather right now... So her Demonic side was growing stronger now, and that was a bit of a worrying prospect.
Her little sister had a bad habit of embracing it too much. The half Saiyan proceeded to be so nonchalant about the entire thing and basically shrug it off in attempts to get back into the training. Atsuko lets out a sigh. "Cambia... Do you know why I try so hard to keep my power under control? It's because it's very easy to lose control of myself. And I don't mean that in the sense of "Oops, I just made that guy's head come off. But now his buddies will leave me alone."", the Knight began to explain. Although... Was any of this really going to sink in?
"I mean actually lose control of myself, like Athren did. You've been riding that dangerous line yourself. If you are close to unlocking the same thing Bernael did... It's going to drag you into a very dark place, and you'll need to pull yourself back from that somehow. You can say whatever you like about me and how I view things; but just... Be careful, Cambia. Okay? I can only do so much to help you.", the Saiyan would add in a concerned tone of voice, in any case it really was time to stop putting the training off.
The Knight lets out another sigh, trying to shake off her concerns now. "Well, we're onto the Advanced lessons now. And the first step as always is to refine your stance; you'll be taking everything you've learned, and on top of actively looking for any openings, you'll be seeking to make them. You can do this by changing up your stance, using the environment to your advantage, such as reflecting the light off of your sword and following up with a slash right after. It's... Not exactly easy to explain, so I'll show you."
The Saiyan states her lecture, and then turns towards Excalibur. The two enter stance, and then close the distance between each other. This time their blades do not clash, each movement is elegant and purposeful. Their blades end up sliding off of each other in perfect parallels. This no longer looked like a mere battle, but like a proper dance. Even so, the use in battle was very clear. The sight of someone 'dancing' on the battlefield would take most foes aback. The movements themselves also served as a distracting element for the enemy. Simply put, it was difficult to read and react to.
It was also deadly effective whenever a blow was struck. Of course, neither Atsuko or Excalibur landed a blow on the other. Their duel was then ended with a final impressive flourish, and the pair then steps back from each other. The Albino Saiyan and the Sacred Sword then proceed to bow to each other. "How fun it is to have our dances! It's almost saddening that every other way of battle is so crude and unrefined...", the Sacred Sword would give another of her comments. She always got into that type of mood after an example of their true skill together.
The Saiyan couldn't help but smirk. "Well, if everything was the same, things would be quite boring, no?", the Knight replies, then turning to Cambia as she takes stance once more. "Well... This is it, attack me just like every other time. I don't have any real advice for this particular lesson; you'll just have to learn by doing. But you've gotten this far.", the Saiyan states in a calm tone of voice. Cambia was nearly done with her Martial Arts Training... Perhaps just in time too, with that pregnancy of hers and all.
Atsuko would need to dedicate a lot of her time to keeping Cambia safe, even with the training, she wouldn't be able to fight when far into her pregnancy. At least, not as well. It would also cut into her little sister's training time. Hell, with everything happening recently... The Albino Saiyan really needed to keep pushing herself to new heights. At the very least, she needed to master Super Saiyan Two, and fast. But the thought of reaching Super Saiyan Three was still an exciting prospect, and only achieving the first two forms would certainly not be enough for her.
All of that power was going to help her protect everything she cared about...
WC: 1,016 Total WC: 5,072 ________________ Stamina 5/5 Atsuko demonstrated Martial Arts [AD] with Excalibur!
Cambia gave a bit of a humourless chuckle as Atsuko talked about the next level of her power taking her into a dark place. "Sis, I've been in the darkness for a long time now. I think I can handle just a little more of it by now. If anything, the darkness should be concerned about me paying it a visit." the demonic Saiyan with a slight smirk before her sister went back into teacher mode.
When she began to explain about making an opening she could utilise, the girl from the streets flashed her older saintly sister a grin. "Dirty fighting? Now you're talking my style. And here I thought you knightly types were all about chivalry and fair play~" teased Cambia slightly before she watched the two of them go at it.
It did look pretty impressive, although when Excalibur made her little comment, she rolled her eyes a little before chuckling at a thought. "Think I know someone who would just love to disagree with you on that point." she muttered to herself, getting herself focused back on the task at hand. So, she had to try and strike at her sister, using all the stuff she'd learned so far.
Her eyes lazily wandered around the hall, her sword spinning in her hand as if she were merely exercising her wrist. I've already used that Saiyan booster, so all I've got left is my Flare. Although I think I'll save that for later. Even though she can sense me wherever I am, got to try and distract her somehow. She spotted that massive and honestly gaudy chandelier above them, and the way that the lights in the theater hall all seemed to focus on it from time to time.
An idea came to her mind that could potentially work. With a flick of her wrist, she let go of her sword... straight up towards the chandelier! The sword's blade shimmered and reflected the lights around the room, creating a dazzling effect that should potentially flicker some of it into Atsuko's eyes. But that wasn't its main purpose. No, its true goal was the destruction of the chandelier above, and bring it crashing down, all the lights on that radiating around the room to create a flaring explosion of light.
Like an overly large flash bang grenade. The chandelier seemed to come crashing down on top of Cambia, but the demonic Saiyan had jumped back a little so that the chandelier landed in front of her, the blonde hybrid shielding her eyes with her arm from the flare of light.
Hopefully whilst her sister was blinded, and Excalibur was having an apocalyptic fit at the destruction to her precious theatre, Cambia retrieved her sword and surged towards her sister, the sword held in both hands as she barrelled towards her through the air. At the last moment, she unleashed a rapid fire series of thrusts and slashes aimed at various locations across her older sister's body.
In the last swing, she went for a one handed strike, her other hand generating... a chain style belt? She used this to try and wrap itself around her Atsuko's sword in an attempt to drag it away from her final strike so it wouldn't interfere. Cambia gave a little smirk. "Never underestimate a good piece of clothing." she said.
Attempting to learn [AD] Martial Arts
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Atsuko rolled her eyes when Cambia mentioned 'dirty fighting'. There was a difference between pressing on your advantages and actively seeking out dishonorable ways to win. Still, there was no use trying to argue that with Cambia. "I'm not giving you permission to fight like a knave. There is a certain etiquette to maintain, after all.", the Knight would reply. As one would have anticipated, her little sister did have a comment about what Excalibur said. Although the Sacred Sword would only give a shrug in response to the claim. "Let them disagree, I've yet to see something as refined as this."
Was her only response. Meanwhile the Albino Saiyan was closely watching Cambia's movements. She seemed to be looking for something, and then settled onto the Chandelier over head. Her little sister then proceeded to throw her sword up in the air, aiming to hit the chandelier, it seems. The Knight ended up closing her eyes in order to shield them from the reflecting light, and then she utilized her ability to sense energy. Pinpointing Cambia and following her movements was not difficult due to just how much she had refined her skill. Much to one's surprise, however. The ruined Chandelier merely began to sink down into the floor.
And it was slowly being reassembled overhead. "I hope that didn't disappoint you, but... This Reality Marble rebuilds itself no matter how much damage it takes; and it's taken some extensive damage, trust me on that!", the woman in red comments. Meanwhile, Atsuko begins to step out of the way of each incoming attack despite never opening her eyes. There was a light smirk on the Saiyan's face as she did this. The half Saiyan then tried to use her chain belt in order to grasp Atsuko's sword, instead the Albino Saiyan would grasp the chain with her free hand.
And then she'd pull fiercely on the chain, likely disrupting Cambia's blow in the process, but to further add onto the point, she used it to block her little sister's sword, and then Atsuko opens her eyes, smirk still present. "What was that you said, don't underestimate a piece of clothing? I very much agree; also don't underestimate how it can just as easily be used against you.", the Knight states. Yes, she was showing off there. And she had more than a little fun doing it, no doubt that would get under the half Saiyan's skin.
"In any case, you grasp how to use the Advanced stance. So there's only one more lesson to impart for this level; the final variation of Invisible Air. At this point, you will be using it's full power. But at the same time, it will put an immense drain on your own energy. It goes without saying, but it needs to be used wisely.... You will definitely want to use both hands for this, as well. I'll demonstrate it for you.", the Saiyan explains in a calm tone of voice, before then heading back to the center of the Reality Marble.
Just about where the Chandelier had fallen earlier, though now any signs of the destruction were gone, and the 'gaudy chandelier' was back in it's place overhead. Excalibur enters stance, as does Atsuko. The Saiyan then begins to channel her power into her sword, just as she had done countless times before. Although this time... The power was noticeably much higher than either of the previous steps, and the winds reflected that as well. "You'll want to hold your blade steady, of course. But now you want to work with the flow of the wind."
The Albino Saiyan lectures. "Watch closely!", with that, the Knight surges towards the woman in red and unleashes another flurry of slashes, each aided by the wind in both speed and power. Though the Sacred Sword had few issues in stopping each attack. Then came the end of the technique, just like with the second variation, there was a slight pause to wind up a large attack. Which then unleashed the veritable tornado that had been gathered around the blade. Excalibur was able to stop the wind from causing injury as well, though it definitely forced her back a great deal.
The Knight takes a deep breath, and then sheathes her sword. "This time, you won't be using me as a target. We're at the point where if we do that, we're going to get hurt.", Atsuko explained. Soon after, Excalibur would snap her fingers. A suit of armor begins to emerge from the floor, and then it begins to take stance; yes, a living suit of armor. "I can generate as many of these as is needed.... So have at it.", the Sacred Sword comments. The suit of armor didn't go onto the offensive, instead just standing there and waiting.
"This is the final step of the Advanced level. Which means you will have learned everything within my Martial Arts, save for one thing. The Mark of Mastery... Though before we can actually train that, you will need a lengthy rest.", Atsuko elaborates. So now her little sister was at the point of mastering the Martial Arts as well... The Albino Saiyan was proud of all of her students. Cambia was still pretty rough around the edges, but if she could complete all this training, she was still worthy of respect. And hopefully it would give her a better head on her shoulders.
Cambia really wouldn't want to find out what using this type of power for evil would do... In any case, the woman in red would snap her fingers another time, and two chairs would rise out of the floor. Atsuko takes a seat in one, conveniently situated to watch Cambia's performance. The other seat remains vacant, likely so that Cambia would have a chance to rest after she used this most powerful version of Invisible Air; it would drain her near entirely of her energy... The Ultimate Technique would do just the same.
But the half Saiyan was so close now, and she certainly wouldn't stop in light of that.

"Etiquette, schmetiquette." smirked Cambia. She was disappointed though when the chandelier fixed itself. The fact that this entire place was actively repairing itself during a battle... it really ticked her off. "I could understand between sessions to fix itself yeah, but during a fight?" she asked Excalibur, scoffing a little. "Seems a bit counter-productive to fight in an environment that doesn't even suffer repercussions." the demonic Saiyan said. "Especially when the current lesson is in using the environment to your advantage. Reality doesn't fix itself when something breaks."
The fight with her sister progressed as she expected, her sister dodging every single one of her attacks. And of course she used her own chain belt against her... of course. The demonic Saiyan dispersed the chain belt into motes of light, leaning her sword against her shoulder as she watched the two holy knights go at one another as Atsuko demonstrated the final level of the Invisible Air technique, whilst also mentioning something about a Mark of Mastery.
Would that be something she'd need to hold her Flare in reserve for? Her sister will no doubt want her to try out the Invisible Air on her as well once she'd finished demonstrating it, and that would in theory be the time she'd use her Flare just to give it that extra kick and maybe land a blow on her for once... But this Mark of Mastery thing. That would probably be the better time to unleash it. Whatever it is.
Cambia raised an eyebrow when Atsuko had Excalibur generate a suit of armour for her to practice Invisible Air on instead of herself. She grumbled a little before taking up the stance, her hands tightening their grip on the blade's shaft so that it wouldn't escape her once she began. As she generated the winds around the weapon, she could feel it wanting to break free, to break loose from her.
The demonic Saiyan surged towards the automated suit of metal, and with her first rapid fire series of strikes aimed for the vital locations such as shoulders, forearms, shins, thighs, kneecaps, wrists before finally unleashing the final blow that aimed to bisect the armour in twain and scatter its pieces throughout the hall with the furious vortex of air the technique produced.
She stood there afterwards, panting slightly at the exertion that the technique had put on her body. The pregnant hybrid looked over to the pair sitting on their chairs and straightened herself up a little. "So, what's this Mark thing? Didn't think you holy knight types did body art. Sanctity of the flesh and all that blah blah blah." she partially joked as she gathered herself.
Attempting to learn [OT-3] Invisible Air
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Cambia started to speak up, her first target? Well, aside from the etiquette bit, there was the fact that the Chandelier repairing itself really didn't sit well with her. Which only prompted Excalibur to roll her eyes. "You'll find anything to complain about won't you? One of those 'the glass is half empty' types taken to an extreme.", the woman in red would respond. It was getting to the point where you really couldn't be mad at Cambia anymore, it seemed that she actively complained about anything, or at least, that was the gist that the Sacred Sword had received.
In any case, the half Saiyan lets out a small grumble before deciding to make use of the target she had been given. It seemed like she really wanted to land just one blow on Atsuko... But her little sister had put it aside for now, and unleashed the technique with devastating efficiency on the living suit of armor. It had effectively been cut into ribbons and then it's parts scattered all throughout the Reality Marble due to the winds. The half Saiyan was left panting from the exertion, but eventually turned to the pair before asking what the Mark of Mastery was.
With another little jab at the 'Holy types'. Although the second chair was actually still vacant; an opportunity for Cambia to have a rest. Which Atsuko made a gesture to, for starters. "As for the Mark of Mastery... It's something that can only be learned once you have gone through every other lesson within the Martial Arts.", the Saiyan begins to explain to her little sister. "You've hit that level, but you need to gather your energy back before you can actually attempt the Mark of Mastery.", the Knight elaborates a bit. So it was time to explain the technique itself...
Which the half Saiyan would probably find some fault in, no doubt. "As for what it is... First, I'll tell you about the Legend of Excalibur.", the Saiyan states. The look in her eyes that she sends to Cambia is a pretty clear indication of 'no smart comments' and 'don't interrupt'. "Long ago, the Age of Demons had brought an almost apocalyptic scenario to Earth. But there was one who chose to resist this fate, and became the first Holy Knight. They founded the Order I was raised in, and through many battles, they were able to lead Humanity to prosperity."
The Albino Saiyan continues. "It is said that when the first Holy Knight raised their blade overhead, it shined as brightly as the Sun, and the Demons would fall before the very sight. That sword being Excalibur, which became an artifact within our Order... But ushering in an Era of Peace meant that there was no more need for Holy Knights. So Excalibur became dormant, and the stories from that time were mostly forgotten.", Atsuko continued to tell the story. It was one that she had heard countless times, to the point of remembering it all by heart.
It was still one that she cherished, clearly. "Obviously, the tale is exaggerated. But all Myths and Legends have some basis in reality. The power that the first Holy Knight held with Excalibur is that basis. The Mark of Mastery is, in truth, the final technique of the Martial Arts. It is unlike any other that you have learned up to this point.", the Saiyan continued her elaborations for Cambia. Her other Students had heard all of this, which of course now meant that it was time for the half Saiyan to become familiar with all of this.
"It is the true power of Excalibur. It wields such a might that it cannot be held back; whether by one's own strength or by barrier. In this sense, it is a technique to overcome any foe. Once you've gathered your energy, you will be learning to perform this technique as well. It will leave you drained, but then you will have a newfound reserve to call upon once you have rested.", the Knight states. It happened with Bernael when he completed his training, it happened for Atsuko as well. So she knew that it would happen for Cambia too.
"With the Mark of Mastery completed, you will also be a full fledged Knight, and that will warrant a title to match it... It also means that I will trust you to make the right decisions, Cambia. This power and these skills... Don't use them lightly, or for your own gain... And say what you like about my warnings, but looking at the track record, I haven't been wrong, have I?", the Albino Saiyan would add before her little sister could bring up any sort of objection on that front. This was a lot of responsibility she was placing on the half Saiyan.
It was partially why she wasn't sure about training Cambia, but she insisted. That did mean that she needed to follow the rules, at the very least. Her little sister would no doubt hate the idea, but then again, was there anything she didn't hate? ...Somehow, the Saiyan Prince. She never understood why. Although that train of thought did bring her back to the idea of having to tell her little sister what happened. Atsuko still didn't like having to approach such a sensitive topic, but they would be sitting here trying to recover before the final lesson anyway.
...Although if Cambia turned out to be in a good mood from this point on, that would only further serve to deter Atsuko from talking about it. Maybe it really was better for the Saiyan Prince to just... Become forgotten. The Knight certainly preferred it that way. It was only a fitting fate for him after everything that had happened. In any case, Atsuko brings her aimless musings to an end as she then listens to what her little sister would no doubt have to say about all of this, and it certainly wouldn't be all good things.
At least, not if she was familiar with Cambia by now.
WC: 1,012 Total WC: 7,101 _______________ Stamina 2/5 to Stamina 3/5
"Hey, I'm just saying. If you want someone to learn to take advantage of their surroundings, the terrain around them, then the place fixing itself almost instantly kinda puts a stop to any real training for that." said Cambia as she accepted the empty seat that was offered to her. She rested her sword down beside her before continuing.
"Especially since we can all agree, that quite a few of those fights in the near future are more than probably gonna be taking place up here. On this island in the sky. Which doesn't magically fix itself. Several thousand miles up in the air." the demonic Saiyan said, putting emphasis on her points. The Sacred Sword just didn't seem to have much of a realistic idea of how battles worked when it came to terrain, that or her ego concerning her Reality Marble was getting in the way of her brain.
She listened to Atsuko explaining what this Mark of Mastery thing was, going into the history, albeit probably the abridged version, of Excalibur and the group that her older sister had grown up with. Cambia let her speak uninterrupted, unopposed, until she reached the end and mentioned her track record. At that point she gave her eyes a slight roll. "Like I'd waste this Excalibur technique on something small time like that." the younger sister said, a little miffed that her sister thought she'd try to use this training to pull some kind of stunt.
The part about being a fully fledged knight though, set her a little ill at ease. "...I'm not gonna have to start praying to God, or do any of that religious stuff am I?" Cambia inquired of her older sister. "Would feel just a wee bit on the creepy weird side of things having to pray to you... that and my track record with anything religious isn't exactly on the side of good." alluded the demonic Saiyan, recalling the temples she'd redecorated a lovely shade of red in the past, using the local priests as the paint.
