Hisashi's father Tessaiga looked younger than he really was. He had a lean, muscular physique and shoulder-length silver hair with eyes of the same brilliant color. He lacked the usual headpiece that would signify his rank as a Konatsian, as he no longer had one to uphold. Some features were very closely similar to Hisashi making it obvious where she at least got her hair from, but the one thing that he had that she didn't was long pointed ears. Tessaiga was two and a half inches taller than his daughter- he was kind of short for his gender, while Hisashi was tall for her age. Appearances aside, it was time for father and daughter to get down to business and train.
"Alright Hisashi, give me your best shot!" Tessaiga encouraged his pup as he assumed a fighting stance.
"Okay, dad!" The wolf girl would respond as she herself assumed a fighting stance, matching Tessaiga's tone in terms of the enthusiasm they both showed.
Nowadays- now that had she had grown older- Hisashi and her father would rarely train together as the two usually kept very busy in patrolling the eastern islands and keeping it safe and preserved. However, when Tessaiga heard her pup was going to be a knight he had been overcome with the extreme urge to test her abilities in genuine one-on-one combat. Hisashi was determined to win, too. If she could manage to defeat her father he would allow her to train under the lookout's inhabitants and even move up there with her. Little did she know, Tessaiga would allow her to become a knight whether or not she won or lose- but he wanted to see just how badly Hisashi wanted to become stronger, and it was an excellent means of getting the elemi to go all out on him.
"Alright, dad, Here I go!" Hisashi yelled as she charged at Tessaiga. The Konatsian tensed up as he prepared to incercept her daughter. He through up his arms in an X position blocking a punch coming directly at his face. Hisashi would giggle as she backed off before charging at her father with a barrage of kicks and punches.
Almost breaking underneath the assault, Tessaiga would take a deep breath before a blue aura would radiate out from him forcing Hisashi away like a strong gust of wind. He would place his hands together wrist to wrist open-palmed, thrusting them forward and striking Hisashi square in the gut knocking her even further away. "You left yourself way too open while you were attacking me! Have you been practicing at all, pup? Come on, I've got an idea." Tessaiga would walk over into some nearby bushes and come out of them holding two sticks of roughly equal size- perfect for being used as fake swords.
Once the Konatsian gave Hisashi one of the aforementioned training weapons they would resume their fight. Tessaiga would be the one to start off this time as he charged his daughter and knocked her flat onto her back, following the breath-taking blow up with a jumping slash that Hisashi would dodge roll out of with practiced ease. Tessaiga would persist in his assault this time, now wanting to see how the wolf girl could dodge and counter. He would close in for an overhead swing that Hisashi would spin out of the way of. The Konatsian fought as he would with his preferred type of sword- a greatsword- by using heavy swings and keeping both hands on his weapon in a vice grip. He would combo his overhead strike with a spinning slash that the wolf girl would simply duck under while slipping behind her father. Hisashi would rise to her feet and take a quick but hard strike at her father's back whilst he recovered. The quick attack would certainly surprise Tessaiga as he was not expecting any strike his daughter could make to hurt like that swift strike just did.
Tessaiga would spin around and take more heavy-handed swings towards Hisashi while she simply dodged them with practiced ease. She moved just as a wind elemi and practiced swordfighter should- with grace and relative ease. The wolf girl would occasionally strike at her father- usually at the sides and face. They certainly stung like hell, too. If Hisashi had been using a regular sword Tessaiga would be bleeding out at this point. But it wasn't a regular sword, and the Konatsian still hadn't broken a sweat.
The two fighters would eventually get into a clash, in which Tessaiga would win by raising his fist and punching Hisashi square in the nose causing her to recoil. The reaction that followed was simply unexpected. Hisashi would growl in such a way that you'd think it was more than just her ears and tail that made her a wolf. "Woah, are you okay?" The father asked, just as any concerned parent would after such an uncharacteristic reaction. Hisashi held her nose as she nodded- had Tessaiga accidentally broken it? Hisashi took her hand away from her nose to show that it was completely fine. It probably just smarted a bit.
The Konatsian would sigh in relief- though that would quickly end as it turned out Hisashi was using some of the same dirty tricks he would to find an opening. The elemi would close the distance between them and strike at Tessaiga's right knee in such a way that made him collapse down on to it, once he was off balance Hisashi would follow by kneeing her father in the stomach and performing a hard overhead strike that would put the Konatsian down on his stomach. "Didn't even hurt." Hisashi would laugh and smile as she claimed rightful victory. Tessaiga would sit up in a cross-legged position and sigh, putting his arms behind him and sing those to keep himself propped up. "For something so small you certainly hit like a truck when you really want to. Anyway, guess you beat me. You've proven to me that you're capable of being more than a pup."
Hisashi would put a hand out in front of her to help her father back up onto his feet. Tessaiga would back away from her and brush himself off with his hands, meanwhile giving a rather odd look to Hisashi. The wolf girl thought there was something stuck on her face with how the Konatsian had his brow arched in a curious manner. "What happened to your scarf, Hisashi? You didn't lose it did you?" He would finally ask, confirming that he was simply trying to figure out where the treasured possession may have gone. "Huh? Oh.. I guess I've just forgotten to put it on for the last couple of days." The wolf girl would shrug. "Why?"
Tessaiga simply shook his head in response. "You cannot simply for get about it. I know how much that scarf means to you- it means a lot to me, too. Just remember to wear it. It is supposed to bring you good luck." Hisashi did know how much that simple article of clothing meant to the both of them. Aside from her swords, they were the most prized possession she owned. The unusually long red scarf had belonged to Hisashi's mother before she dissapeared off the very face of the Earth. Whether she was dead or alive was a subject the father and daughter never discussed as they knew about the emotional distress it could bring them both.
"Come on, lets get home. We have to get ready to head to the.. what did you call it- the lookout?" Tessaiga asked and Hisahi would nod her head in response. The two would toss their fake weapons aside and head home. The trip up to the lookout would be far simpler this time, as unlike a certain little girl, Tessaiga could fly. He could've taught the girl years ago but she was usually so deathly afraid of heights that it would be a little bit pointless.
