As the shine shined brightly in the sky of East city, the train would finally arrive. Hanako staring out the window would sigh in relief as she could finally get out. The little android would hop off the train and stare at the tall structures. She would begin walking aimlessly in the crowded streets. It was her first time in such a big city, she felt quite intimidated by the amount of people around her. She felt terrified by the size of the city, jogging in the street trying to find a quieter place to gather her thoughts. The young Android ran until she finally reached a quieter park. It was still crowded but much less than the train station. She crawled under a tree and sat under it, bringing her knees to her face. “Why is it so crowded around here… there’s so many strangers and they’re all scary…” she would whisper to herself, pouting as she wasn’t used to being left to her own much less to large crowds of people. She shook her head as she felt herself getting emotional at the thought of her recently deceased father. She was missing him dearly and he had been the only person she had ever developed any connection with so far in her life. After her accident a few years ago he had been the only person to even be around her. “Papa…” she whispered to herself hugging onto her own knees a bit tighter. Hanako sobbed quietly as she sat against the tree. Tears strolled down her pale cheeks as she couldn’t help but remember the events that had taken place only a few days ago. She needed to continue on with life without him but she was clueless as to where she should go and what she should do. All she knew is that she had to take care of herself from now on and the thought alone was terrifying to her. She would sit there and eventually decide to open the backpack she had brought with her. She picked up a pair of socks and replaced hers as they had been soaked by her past travel. Slowly getting up she sighed and began wandering the streets close to the park, she didn’t seem to want to leave the park’s vicinity as she felt more at ease there and planned on passing the night under the tree.
Hanako sighed and sat back under the tree for a moment before going into the park. She would try out the swings. She began swinging slowly before kicking to increase her speed, launching her face first in the grass. She grumbled and shook her fist looking at the swing before retreating back to her tree. “How could anyone enjoy such a terribly made contraption?! I…It’s a trap for kids!” She grumbled to herself and went back to pouting. She didn’t understand why kids seemed to be so happy playing with the thing that had just hurt her. Really she almost had an urge to burn the thing down and melt it to the ground. She rubbed her forehead gently and sighed, grabbing a small towel to wipe the dirt off her face. “What am I supposed to do now?” she asked herself grumbling as she was still grumpy from her failure to play with a swing. “Maybe I could capture a shop and make it my own…” she shook her head. “I think this something people consider bad.” She threw her hands in the air. “Why is everything so complicated!?” She would sit down and sigh bringing her knees to her face again as she simply waited, not knowing what to do. The end of the day would quickly arrive, causing the kids to leave with their parents. Everyone eventually going home to eat while she simply sat there alone staring at the sky. "I miss you Papa..." she whispered to herself feeling somewhat jealous as she looked at the other kids. She would nibble onto the collar of her shirt to, it calmed her down a bit preventing her to cry yet again. "It's so big and scary...I feel completely lost." she whispered to herself quietly, thinking about the city.

Hisashi had been running a couple of errands for Tessaiga that day in the eastern city to grab things such as food and water. She had learned from her mistakes since last time and decided not to wear her training weights when she didn't actually intend to train. The wolf girl would be walking through the park- her favorite part of the city, mind you- with a grocery bag packed full of all kinds of little goodies that didn't require much cooking if any at all. The wolf girl stopped in her tracks in the middle of the park as her ears twitched and tried to move to aim at someone outside of Hisashi's line of sight. Since she had been in the middle of of nomming away on a candy bar, she wondered what it was her senses had picked up that was so important until she saw Hanako.
Her heart would sank would sink inside her chest and her eyes would go wide. The sight was both precious and heart-breaking. Part of her felt like breaking down and crying, too. It was heart shattering to see such a cute little girl in such a broken state. Hisashi's protective instincts would kick in and she would quickly approach the small girl, setting her bag of goodies aside and crouching down to be at the same level of height with her. "Where are your parents?" Hisashi would ask the little android- she knew there were orphans in the towns occasionally, but she wasn't willing to believe that any parent would abandon such an adorable little thing. The wolf girl would take note of how distressed the small girl would look and so she held out the candy bar she had failed to finish towards Hanako. "Here, take it. You look like you need it more than me."
Whether Hanako accepted the candy bar or not, Hisashi would pull her scarf off from around her neck and help Hanako put it on in case she were cold. "You don't have to be scared. The big bad wolf will protect you! But 'cha gotta tell me whats wrong."

The little Android would take the bar cautiously and begin eating it. She looked up at the stranger, Hanako would wipe her cheeks and look around herself. She was confused as to why a stranger was suddenly helping her, everyone had seemed to be ignoring her for the entire day. She would slowly nom on the bar and sigh in relief. She had not eaten since she had left her home in the north. "I uh... t-thank you." she said after eating for a bit. She would stretch and look at the stranger surprised as a scarf was put on her. She would look in utter shock as if she had found the answer to life. The softness of the scarf was new to her, mesmerizing her completely. She shook her head and looked straight at the stranger. "I...I don't know where to go I have never been to East City before. I uh I have no clue what I must do..." she looked down as she remembered the reason why she was here. "P...Papa...he died and I came here seeking a purpose." she said quietly, puffing her cheeks to contain her sadness and look strong. She would jump on the Elemi, hugging her and hiding her face against the stranger. "Do you know if I can claim this tree as my own?" she asked innocently, looking up at the stranger. She was still quite confused as she had never lived in society, she knew about it's existence but had always lived in exile in the north with her father. She had no experience in dealing with other people. She was still confused as to why the Elemi was helping her but she gladly accepted the help as she had no clue of what to do otherwise.

Hisashi picked the little android up quite easily once she had thrown herself onto the wolf girl. "Where were you living before? How did you manage to get here on your own?" The elemi asked, placing her hand on the girl's back as they clung to her. While the android would hide her face the wolf girl would giggle a bit, fixing the scarf and making sure it was secure around Hanako's neck. The wolf girl knew quite well how it felt to be alone, lost in the city.. Her father was always there to come help her though, but now Hisashi was learning that that was something Hanako could not have. Hanako may have acted strong and refused to cry, but Hisashi wanted to cry just hearing it. "You're safe and sound with me. You may not have your papa, but you can definitely have me! I promise I won't go anywhere." Hisashi tried to reassure the android, pulling her off and picking her bag up. "Hold this for me." The elemi would request, and assuming that Hanako had done so, she would take her swords- sheaths and all- off her back and place them on her hip through a belt around her waist. She would then turn around and put her arms out behind her, motioning forward just a little bit for Hanako. "Get on my back, I'm gonna get you somewhere warm and safe- food is in order, too."
Once Hanako was secure on her back with groceries in hand, Hisashi would stand up and start to run out of the park. She had truly no idea why she had felt so obligated to protect the young android, but she did, and she wasn't gonna fight it. The little girl was far too precious to leave behind in a big city- who knows what bad shit could come her way. "You're gonna be in safe hands, okay?" Hisashi asked the young android to verify she was okay with being taken somewhere safer. That place would either be to her home, or to the lookout. It was more than likely going to be the lookout, as her home would be vacant just as soon as she could get her father moved out of there.
Hanako would nod and take the groceries bag, holding onto it for Hisashi. She would be quite confused and peak into the bag to make sure it wasn't a bomb or something. She nodded to herself as she noticed the groceries inside of it. She would slowly climb onto Hisashi's back, wrapping her arms around her to hold on tightly. Her face lit up at the mention of warmth and food, she smiled and threw her arm forward. "H...Huzzah!" She shouted in a soft voice. She would be excited at the thought of a new place to call home. She giggled to herself and looked around from the safety of Hisashi's back as they began moving. She was now able to explore the city from a safe ground. "What's your name, Wolf-Savior?" she asked as she began feeling abit more comfortable with the Elemi. She would glare at the swing set as they would slowly fade in the distance. She was happy to be away from the cruel contraption that had tricked her earlier.
She would yawn softly, she hadn't been able to get any rest for a few days. It was easy for her to stay awake for longer periods of times but the emotional strain had made her quite exhausted. She would slowly lay her head against Hisashi's back, resting there for a moment. Looking down at the Elemi's swords she would smile. "I like your swords they're beautiful and look strong." she giggled and her eyes widened as she thought of something. "W...wait a..are you a-a Ninja!?" she asked in surprise. She was fascinated by warriors and sword wielders as they were rarer now but she had read quite a lot of books about those kind of people and the swordsmanship arts.

Hisashi was headed for the city's outskirts and it looked like shew as going to break record time record time- she would refrain from traveling at top speed to keep from scaring the young girl on her back but she still went at quite a decent pace. The grocery bag was full of dry foods and candies- the candies were mostly for Hisashi, but she wouldn't have minded if Hanako had taken a bit. "My name is Hisashi and no, I'm no ninja! I'm a.." Hisashi paused in mid-sentence. As much as she wanted to say knight, she wasn't even a proper squire yet. "I am a Knight- Hisashi, Knight of Wind!" Hisashi proclaimed in a confident tone. She didn't want to bore the young girl out by saying she was just some adept sword fighter, so she figured she'd weave her a tale for now and once they got to the lookout she would have a real knights to admire.
She wasn't sure what it was they'd do with Hanako considering the two weren't family. But Hisashi would not let them send her to an orphanage in the city. "Hey.. once we get to the lookout I want you to act as if we're relatives. You and I are close enough in hair color that it should be somewhat believable. What's your name, though?" Hisashi would ask- hoping Hanako would simply cooperate and not ask much questions. It was for her own good- Hisashi had to make she she was safe, even if it required that she lie to Atsuko later. Her dad would be in on the lie for sure, once Hisashi explained everything to him.
Hanako would still be in awe as Hisashi told her she was a knight. The little android would giggle in excitement as she had no idea knights were still a thing on earth. She had played plenty of games that included knights in their story but never had she really met one. This entire day was filled with surprises for her. She had learned much about human society but was still clueless as to what her purpose should be now. “Hisashi, what will happen to me after we reach the lookout, w-what will I have to do?” she questioned as she was very curious about what the future had in store for her.
She would cling tightly onto Hisashi’s back, yawning and rubbing her eyes as she felt quite tired. She would lay her head against Hisashi and look to the side, thinking about her day and the recent events. None of all this made sense to her as things moved so fast. She had left the north only a few days ago and now she was being taken to the Lookout and what for, she had no idea. “I’ll try my best!” she responded as she didn’t want to disappoint the knight already. “I uhm I’m Hanako." She was ready for anything that would await her at the lookout, or so she hoped. The thought of going to such a strange place scared her abit but she had promised not only herself but her father that she would continue on with life.

"Hmm.. well, that's a good question Hanako!" Hisashi tried to sound bright and positive for the little girl, knowing what sort of emotional state she might be in after all the traumatizing things she might've gone through. "You can do whatever you want to. You're not too young to learn how to fight- but if you don't wanna fight I'm sure theres something you could do to help the other Knights. You could help Ayami out keeping the lookout clean- I know she's supposed to be the tower keeper soon, or something like that." The wolf girl stopped running, pulling the android off her back and placing her gently beside her. "Let's walk the rest of the way- its a wonderful night for a stroll, anyway. Don't you think?" Hisashi would ask as she took hold of Hanako's free hand- allowing the young girl to keep a hold on her groceries. It was a rather sudden move, but she had just noticed how beautiful the night sky was. If it were raining she would think otherwise as all the water made her cold and smell like a wet dog, but the sky tonight was quite clear.
"All you're gonna have to do is pretend you're my sister. I could certainly play the bigger sister role for you- I've always wanted a little sister!" Hisashi would smile at the young android. She didn't know she was an android but it really wouldn't matter to her either way- sure the concept of a machine person would confuse the hell outta her but she walked talked and supposedly thought like a person so that was all she needed. In truth, though. Saying she always wanted a little sister was far too specific. She just wanted to be the one doing the protecting for once.
The wolf girl would continue to walk forwards, leading Hanako out of the city and into the wilderness of the eastern islands. "You have nothing to be scared of out here, I know these woods like the back of my hand!" Hisashi would reassure her. 'Most of the time, anyway..' She would then think to herself noting all the times she had been getting lost recently.

Hanako seemed to have cheered up quite abit as she was now smiling while riding onto the Elemi’s back. She had felt quite lonely for the past few days but Hisashi had changed all this, Hanako hadn’t felt so alive since the loss of her father. “I...uhm could I take over the world, I think it must be a good goal?” The little android would ask in a very innocent and casual manner, nodding to herself in approval of her plan. She was a fan of strategy games and to her the world was simply another game for her to win. She was young but extremely serious when it came to games, she had yet to lose a single game and so refused to lose in her new goal of rising in the world’s hierarchy. This game was going to be very difficult as she had to begin without much resources or strength but that only fueled her spirit.
Hanako would freeze as she was being lifted off of her new mount. She would simply freeze in place, placing her arms in straight and opening her mouth in shock as she felt her feet touch the ground. She would slowly face plant, her face hitting the ground. As she hit the ground she would begin waving her arms around in panic. She had always been quite clumsy when it came to physical labor, even if it was as simple as getting off someone’s back. She slowly got up and would look up at Hisashi in embarrassment, her cheeks would puff and her eyes became watery as she felt so embarrassed she wanted to cry. She wiped her face which was covered in dirt now and wiped her eyes. She looked a bit grumpy now, she wasn’t angry at anything other than the ground for being in her way. She looked up at Hisashi as she took her hand and began walking. As Hisashi had mentioned, the sky was quite beautiful on this night. “It’s really pretty” Hanako would say, cheering up again after having fallen down. She held tightly onto the grocery bag, luckily enough she had managed to safeguard it even when she fell, sacrificing her face for the groceries.
Hanako smiled at the thought of Hisashi becoming her big sister. It made her feel safe in a way, feeling protected once more. “Mmm I’ll do my best! I’ll convince everyone and take over the world!” She giggled looking up and smiling. “Why did you become a Knight, do you kill dragons, who’s your king, do you have a horse?” Hanako had plenty of questions as she was fascinated by knights and such. The little android seemed extremely enthusiastic compared to earlier in the day. She felt very good now that she had time to rest while riding onto Hisashi’s back. She still didn’t understand why a stranger would help her but she wasn’t going to decline Hisashi’s help, after all it might have been her quest as a knight. She simply would follow, it was the safest plan she had, after all taking over the world alone might be hard and having a great knight ally had to be useful. “Hisashi are there ogres in this forest or giant spiders maybe dire wolves?” She was very curious as she had lived in the same place her entire life. The cold north was very different, never had she seen green lush forests that weren’t covered in snow. There was endless possibilities for new encounters. Today had been a very long day but in the end it all turned out to be extremely good to her.

"Hmm.. Well Hanako, to be fully honest with you I think the world needs more protecting than it does conquering. I mean, that's what the Knights are all about as far as I have seen and it's why I wanted to join them. These eastern islands have always been my home so I've done everything to preserve the state of the wilderness- and as much as I hate industrial growth, I've been patrolling the cities because I just.. feel a strange obligation to do so." Hisashi had changed a tad bit to something just a little more serious. It was true, though- the whole concept of being a protector of the planet was rubbing off on her and changing her ideals. She looked back over her shoulder at the east city. Had she been so blind this entire time? She at first thought that people aside from she and her father were evil and or selfish- but it had just been the natural progression of species on earth. They built cities to make more room for more and built large machines to make themselves more efficient. It was wrong that things like this could all be at the cost of surrounding wildlife and forests, but as far as she knew most of those people were all blissfully aware of the harm they were causing and there was nothing to be done about it.
Even still, to make all her life's work and effort seem utterly futile was not her way. She was a warrior and she took great pride in her work. Her honor as a future knight outweighed pride though, and thus she was obligated to protect to protect the things she despised so much. The cute little android had taken Hisashi's brain away from the more serious topics as she puffed her cheeks and went teary eyed. She would use her sleeve to wipe the girl's face off while holding her in place by keeping a hand on her shoulder. "Be more careful, Hanako. You can't rule the world with balance like that- I'll help you fix that later." After cleaning the young girl's face Hisashi would take her hand once again and continue on deeper into the woods.
"I've never killed a dragon, no.. I don't even think there are many dragons out there. If there are, none of them deserve to be killed. As for my horse? Well.. I don't exactly have a horse, and to kill two birds with one stone there are indeed wolves in this forest." Hisashi would place Hanako behind her and raise a hand to her mouth, placing two fingers into her mouth and letting forth a sharp whistle. Within moments Hanako would be able to hear the sound of foliage rustling and panting. From out of the underbrush came a pack of three, snow white wolves- all with fur the same color as Hisashi's hair and tail. "I can't ride them myself as I am too large, but you.. You're just about the perfect size- that is if you want to. None of them bite. I personally trained them myself!" Hisashi bragged, confident in her own abilities to tame the wildlife. If anything she was wildlife herself, anyway. "You'll meet the closest thing I've got to a king once we get to the look out!" She added on to further sate the android's curiousity- she honestly loved answering questions for her.
Hanako looked up at Hisashi as she spoke of protecting earth instead of conquering it. The concept could be interesting but it seemed like it would require more effort than conquering it. She liked the challenge however and simply smiled. She nodded in slight approval as Hisashi mentioned that she disliked the Industrial growth. “I don’t quite like big cities, they make it harder to think with all of the distractions around. I’m used to the north, where I lived the only noises came from me and my father. It was really calm and easy to think peacefully.”
As she Hisashi wiped her face she would rub her eyes and nod. She waited as Hisashi called for her wolf. It was quite a surprise to Hanako to meet someone that was so close to the fantasy that she had from her video games. As the wolves came out Hanako would stare in awe at the beasts. “I…I can really ride one!?” she asked in excitement her eyes almost sparkling. She would slowly try to climb onto one carefully trying to not harm the wolf or herself in the process. “It’s so fluffy…” she would lay her head against the wolf’s fur and smile innocently. "What other beasts do you have, are you a beast master?" Hanako was now even more excited about her new knight friend as she truly was special and unlike any human she had met before. She would continue following Hisashi, now riding onto the wolf's back.

The wolf that was soon to be Hanako's trusty steed laid down on its stomach to help the loli get onto it's back. It would pant happily as it got back onto it's feet and started to walk around with the little girl on it's back. Hisashi would giggle and continue deeper into the woods- the other wolves followed them from within the bushes, unseen by either of the two at this point. "We're going to be headed for the lookout tomorrow. For now, I want to get you somewhere so you can eat and sleep." Hisashi stated as the city would soon be out of sight as the two got deeper and deeper into the woods. "As for big cities.. I'm right there with you. I hate being in them- I hate the large crowds of people and all the noise. My situation is fairly similar to how yours was, too. It's always been just me and my dad up until recently. I'm sure you'll like him!" Hisashi would mess with the girl's hair, petting her while she was on the wolf.
As Hisashi thought more on the lookout whilst the two (or three, rather) walked together she soon realized that she wouldn't be able to keep up the lie about her being a full-fledged knight. If it didn't get called out, Hanako would be easily able to tell just on her own if she possessed the ability to read Ki. Still.. as long as Hanako was safe and sound, she didn't care what the little girl would think of her. If she needed a knight to admire, she had the other ones.
