[Guardian Micaela's PL: 500,000 base. Suppressed to 5.] [Atsuko's PL: 3,500 base. Sealed to 5.]
Age 1568
Now that Atsuko was the next in line to become the Guardian of Earth, there was much to take care of. Toru was someone that she could trust with all close and personal matters. He wasn't the most serious man... Actually, quite far from it. But he certainly livened up the otherwise deathly still Timeless Lookout. Speaking of which, it was time for her to speak with him about everything she was planning. He already knew about Kimiko, as well as the request she made of the Saiyan Alliance. Though she didn't go into the full reasons as to why...
Now, it was time to do exactly that. She would reveal her entire plan to him, she knew that he would be discreet with the knowledge he was to be given. Toru never struck her as the type to betray... He may not entirely understand her reasoning, and she wasn't sure just what his exact reaction would be. Truth be told, it was something that Micaela a little frightened... But she would compose herself, taking a deep breath. She had to do this. If the Guardian kept these secrets entirely to herself, then she would only appear the villain in the end.
The Guardian would close her eyes, and establish a telepathic link with Toru. "When you have the time... I'd like to discuss many things with you. I know that you've wanted answers, I'll be entirely honest with you. Though I prefer to speak face to face.", the woman would send her message. Her 'voice' was calm, collected. She was direct with her point as well. There was no need to dance around, or pretend as if this was anything else. She wanted to keep her allies, and to do that... She had to show her trust to them.
With that, she'd open her eyes and gently adjust her hold on the Saiyan Child in her arms. Atsuko was proving to be the rather energetic youth, even with the ribbon that sealed her power. Many would say that's quite the handful to deal with, but... Micaela found it charming, and it was a wonderful change of pace from what she usually occupied herself with. Being a mother wouldn't have been so bad, if she could have found the time... But there was no time to focus on that now, sadly. At least she was able to play out what that role was like.
She could only imagine just how angry Tomoroko must have been with her... The Guardian wouldn't make any excuses for just how unreasonable the request was, only that she felt it was the right thing to do. Micaela intended to make up for it by raising her into a fine Guardian one day. For now, she was small, and practically insignificant... But that would not always be so. The Guardian knew very well just how fast a Saiyan could become more powerful. And even more than that, Atsuko was born the daughter to Natto and Tomoroko...
The strongest Saiyans that Micaela had ever met. Micaela would smile lightly as she looked towards Atsuko once more. "You'll be seeing Toru soon. I think you'll like him... He's a very kind man. I know he'll understand why this had to be done.", the woman would comment. It almost sounded more like she was trying to convince herself, however... Did any of the Saiyans still view her in pleasant regard? Micaela supposed she should just be thankful that Toru didn't abandon her, but even so... That feeling of the unknown was difficult to shake off. On some days, it made sense that things were so peaceful.
Other days, she couldn't comprehend why she wasn't having to deal with an army of Saiyans. Or at least have a less than pleasant conversation with Natto or Tomoroko... Maybe even both of them. Maybe they had their own concerns to attend to now, after all they had found their own planet. Micaela wished them and their people nothing but the best. They deserved a good home, a chance to really achieve their goal of peace... If only Earth could have been that place. It was still depressing to think about that. She'd let out another sigh.
So many years of being at this, one would think she would have more confidence in herself. She usually did, but this was an especially taxing time for everyone involved. Not everyone would understand or agree with her. In fact, it was more likely to assume that no one would. Perhaps it was out of desperation that she contacted Toru in order to discuss all of this with him. But she wouldn't back out of it now, her mind had been made up. He deserved to know, and whoever he shared the knowledge with... She would trust his judgement.
If he never told anyone, so be it. If he told the world, and all the worlds beyond... So be it. The Guardian would steady herself as much as she could while she waited for his arrival. The child in her arms seemingly able to tell that something was bothering her, but Micaela would merely offer a smile and a reassuring gesture each time. "Haha... You're much too young to be worrying about others just yet... Take a little time to be selfish, child.", the Guardian would state. The mere act of holding a child in her arms...
It completely changed how Micaela normally acted. She wanted nothing more than to coddle Atsuko, keep her safe from everything that could be a threat to her, but... That would do no good, in the end. She had to be caring, of course. But not to the point of rendering the child helpless. The Guardian would finally turn her gaze to the door. Enough time had passed at this point, Toru surely wouldn't be taking much longer to arrive now. After that, it would begin spinning out into a long discussion... Of what she intended to do, what she hoped he would do.
But there would be no violence, that much she knew without a doubt about Toru.

<<Sure thing Master Micaela! Let me just put Kaylee to sleep before Mizuna leaves again!>> Toru would think back towards the Guardian. He still found it so strange how she could do that! Talk into people's heads... it was weird, but it was so cool at the same time! He still didn't think he had the hang of it though... to just think of what you wanted to say and poof, someone halfway across the world could hear it in their heads... weird.
For now, Toru would focus on the little toddler already half asleep in the saiyan man's arm. He hardly wanted to give the little girl back to her mother at all! It would be quite a while before he would be able to leave Earth to go and visit them... this arrangement between Earth and the Saiyan Alliance sucked... and he felt it heavily as he pissed his little girl growing up leaps and bounds at a time. He couldn't just abandon everything he had here on Earth, and as Saiyans, Mizuna and Kaylee couldn't stay with him here... it was a crappy situation but, wasn't that what they were working towards fixing?
He would pat her back gently, lightly bouncing as he cradled her while walking through his wife's ship. He would step into Mizuna's quarters and carefully place Kaylee down into her crib, kissing her forehead before stepping back and taking Mizuna into his arms instead. They would exchange a few saddened words and a good-bye kiss before Toru left the ship and flew out. He would wait long enough to see them take off.
"It sucks every time..." He would mumble before turning around and soaring towards the timeless lookout! It would only take him a few more minutes to reach the platform hovering in the sky, and as soon as Toru touched down, he headed straight towards his master's energy signature.
"Sorry that took so long! Hello Master Micaela, helloooo little Kimikooo~" Toru would coo as soon as he got close enough to the child. There was a bright smile on his face as he looked down to his niece. Yes, he definitely wanted to know exactly what her plan was with Kimiko... it was breaking Tomie's heart to be apart from her little girl, and she was constantly calling Toru to get updates on her. He always told her everything he could in regards to the little girl... but it just made him think of how he felt about being seperated from Kaylee...
Micaela closed her eyes as she heard Toru's response... That's right, he had his own family now. And he was apart from them, not entirely unlike Natto and Tomoroko being apart from their daughter... She wasn't entirely foolish, either. The signs that he had been telling them about Kimiko weren't invisible, but she wasn't going to prevent him from doing that. They had every right to know. Honestly, they had more of a right than that. That was another thing she was going to address in this meeting. It ended up taking Toru a little while to arrive, but it was understandable.
Toru seemed just as upbeat as always, a kind smile and greeting... The Saiyan Child seemed to be happy to see him, too! Micaela couldn't help but smile a little at the sight... But she knew that it wasn't the time to act as if everything was alright. So she composed herself a little, then finally speaking. "Your decision to stay here on Earth... I don't know why you've made it.", the Guardian would begin. "I'm grateful for it, of course... So I'm going to tell you everything I intend to do from this point forward, and my reasons for doing so."
The woman would pause for a moment. She still didn't know what Toru would think of her after this... "When I made the decision to banish the Saiyan Alliance... It wasn't something that I wanted to do, but I knew that it would bring something resembling peace.", she'd explain. "Understandably so, it has made me a villain among the Saiyans... In the end, I do want peace between Humanity and the Saiyans, however. But short of me fighting every Saiyan in order to earn their respect... It's simply not feasible.", Micaela would continue. There was one simple fact in all of this.
She was Human. And most Saiyans didn't care to listen to those not bearing even a drop of Saiyan blood within them/ "But I believe that things can change. But in order for that to happen, the Saiyans need someone that they will listen to... That's why I asked that Kimiko be brought here. I intend to raise her, and prepare her for becoming a Guardian of Earth... I believe that as a Saiyan, her growth in power will be exponential, but even more than that... Her people will be more inclined to listen to her."
It was admittedly a lot to gamble on. "...I've been a Guardian of Earth for eight years now. They say you become more experienced at something the longer you do it, but I've never felt more uncertain about things in my life; there's no justification in many of the things I have done... It's in light of that, that I have made the decision to resign.", Micaela added. "Earth is in it's greatest state of peace. It doesn't need a Guardian of impossible power anymore...", the Guardian continued, gazing down slightly at the ground. There weren't many Guardians that simply quit their role.
But just how taxing it became was evident on Micaela. "I at first considered that you might take over my role... But being a Guardian of Earth is incredibly taxing on anyone who takes up such a mantle... I wouldn't want to see what that does to you, Toru... You have a family, as well. And I can't simply keep holding you away from them as I have been... So the next obvious decision is to prepare an heir.", she'd continue the explanation. It was a very long one, yes. But she wanted to go over everything.
Toru would know the ins and outs of this entire ordeal. "The Dragon Balls have been used for the last time in my reign, and I have deactivated them now. With my 'disappearance', there will be nothing for anyone to challenge or seek. I will use that time to prepare Kimiko. It is my hope that when she takes over, she will be able to guard Earth more efficiently then I have, and more importantly... That she will turn this ceasefire between Earth and the Saiyan Alliance into a true peace. There may even be a day where the Saiyans are welcomed back on Earth properly."
She'd then let out a soft sigh. "So that brings me to the final point in all of this... I trust you and your judgement, Toru. Whether you keep all of this secret, or tell everyone... I will know that you were doing what you think is right... You also have the decision to remain on Earth, or to return to your family. And finally... I know that Natto and Tomoroko must have been asking about her quite a lot.", the Guardian would then gesture slightly to the Saiyan Child in her arms.
"I said that I would allow them back on Earth... And I meant it. Whenever they want to come and see her, they more than have that right... I also won't intervene if they wish to take her back. In the end, I can still only do what I believe to be right... And lately, I feel as if I've been doing more harm than good. That is why I have made the decision for so many changes.", the Guardian finished. So that was it, the entire plan laid out for Toru to take in. He probably had more than a few questions...
And she would answer them. "If you have anything you wish to ask... I will explain as best as I can. I don't intend for there to be any secrets between us, Toru.", Micaela states. With that, she would fall silent and gauge his reaction. Was he going to be angry? Understanding? It was entirely up in the air anymore, to be honest... He was never like the other Saiyans, but that could very well have it's limits. Especially since he knew what it was like to be a parent away from their child. Micaela really did come off as a villain...
It was regrettable. But there wasn't much changing that at this point, that she could see, anyway.

"Well to put it simply, Earth is my home. I was born and raised here... and being a Z fighter means that I'll protect my home with everything I have. I can't do that from the planet the Alliance is settling on." Toru would say with an awkward grin creeping up onto his face. It hadn't been the easiest decision to make... and it still wasn't... He had made a promise when Kaylee was born that she would grow up knowing both of her parents, knowing what it meant to be loved and part of a family... but here he was, leaving her in her mothers complete care and only getting to see her once in a blue moon...
He would then fall silent though as Micaela went about explaining her actions in regards to the saiyans. Explaining why she believed it to be the best decision to banish them from the planet. She then stated she was a villain among the saiyans, and while Toru wanted to state otherwise, he could understand if they did in fact see her that way... the Alliance was made up of saiyans who wanted to be left alone... they wanted nothing more to do with the Empire and just wanted to live in peace. It just so happened that they had been on Earth when that decision was made. As far as he knew, they were completely willing to co-exist with the humans... in all honesty he thought it had been a great idea... and still did, but who was he to really argue? Sure he'd make his opinion known but, it wasn't exactly his decision in the enf.
Then Micaela mentioned that she needed someone that the saiyans could trust, and Toru immediately opened up his mouth to speak at that, about to offer himself up instead of Kimiko. However, Micaela had covered that front too and it caused Toru to pout as he just let his teacher finish speaking, before taking in a deep breath and finally putting in his two cents.
"Master, I really hope you'll reconsider using Kimiko... I mean, your plan is sound but, why can't we just use me instead? I've been around a lot of the saiyans in the Alliance so they know me. They know I was born on Earth but a lot of them don't care. I've made a lot of friends there and I;m sure given time I work just as well as Kimiko can. It might be too hard for her... I mean she's just a baby and she won't know what it's like to be a saiyan... so how can she co-ordinate peace if she doesn't know them?
I do have a family, yes but, I can handle it. If I were guardian then maybe they could even live with me on the lookout. It would be a good starting point for peace between us wouldn't it?" He would speak rather quickly, almost like a child who wanted to make sure that everything on his mind was laid out in front of him for everyone to see, before he forgot what he was thinking about. He would then glance down to the blond haired saiyaness in Micaela's arms, and think back to Tomie's reaction when she was first brought over.
"I don't tell everyone anything... only Tomie and Natto about Kimiko... because it's not fair that they're kept in the dark about her, and if she's okay. I'm not telling them anything other then that. So they won't know that there's no guardian or no dragonballs or anything like that." He would assure her quickly. He didn't plan on leaking secrets to the alliance, that wasn't why he stayed behind. However he wouldn't withhold information about Kimiko when asked about it, or something significant happened.
"Oh... master what about the Z fighters? With you gone... what exactly are we supposed to do? A lot of us are part saiyan, if not full blooded saiyan so lots of us either left with the Alliance, or went back to the Empire... there aren't many of us left. What if the planet get's attacked while you're gone?" Toru would ask, not sure if his master would even be able to do anything to help defend the planet at all, or where she was going to be disappearing too exactly.
Micaela smiled lightly as Toru gave his reasons for staying here on Earth. It... Was somewhat of a pained smile for the both of them. Truth be told, the Guardian didn't see a need for his family to have to leave as well, but... That was just how everything played out. Everyone had their own loyalties, after all. What reason did any Saiyan have to follow her leadership? It even almost seemed like Toru wanted to disagree with her about being a villain to his people but... He couldn't really say much about it, aside from his personal opinions on the subject.
Hell... He seemed pretty sure that he would be a good pick instead of Kimiko, and was about to offer himself in her place. But it seems that her words brought him to a standstill, at least for the moment. Toru would take a deep breath, and finally give his own two cents on the subject... The Guardian would let out a small sigh at his reasoning. "It's true, she won't know what it means to be a Saiyan... In many ways, I consider that a blessing for her. It's also true that they would just as easily trust you, Toru."
Micaela would begin her response. "But being a Guardian is more than simply dealing with the Saiyans. There are other issues that you would have to face one day. You're a kind man, and becoming a Guardian of Earth doesn't always call for kindness... Sometimes you must make difficult decisions, and you won't always have time to consider them.", Micaela would continue on her counter arguments. "What do you say to people that are afraid and hold vengeance in their hearts? Do you tell them to obey? Force them to listen? Allow them to march to war?"
She'd ask while looking him in the eyes. "Every second you waste considering the options is marching ever closer to the reality that a battle will break out, and lives will be lost. If you want to prevent all bloodshed, then the clearest option is to move one of them away from the other... Humanity lived on Earth first, and though I sympathize with the Saiyans, there was too much tension between the races. It won't be the first time an issue like this crops up. And there won't always be a time where people listen to you, either. That's when you have no choice but to fight personally."
Micaela wanted him to be very aware of the realities of this position. "...The most damning thing is, even if I were to fight every last Saiyan personally, they would still see me as insulting them. I do not comprehend how their pride works.", the Guardian lets out a sigh. "...But Toru, you don't have the heart for that sort of thing... I wouldn't want to put you through any of that; and after eight years of doing this myself... I can assure you, it doesn't get any easier. It just gets harder."
Micaela would finish, then turning her gaze to Kimiko. "So we need someone who is trained and prepared for this type of life... Saiyans raise to many challenges, as I have learned. But most exceptional of all is the blood that courses through her veins. Even if she is nothing like a Saiyan, people cannot deny who she is... And killing one of their own is always far more difficult than just another alien race.", she would then state. Finally, Toru pointed out that though he was away from his family, if he became the Guardian, they could live here on the Lookout with him.
It was true enough... "Toru... Your family didn't have to leave to begin with. They could stay... But I know that their reasons for leaving must have been because of my actions towards the Alliance as a whole.", Micaela would reply. She really hoped to be proven wrong about the Saiyans one day. That they would change, and show that they really weren't out for conquering and battling. Try as she might, though, she couldn't see that in the present. Save for the handful. Such as Toru, Natto and Tomoroko... Hell, counting Toru was almost like cheating.
After all, he was raised on Earth. After that, he would then assure her that he wasn't leaking out any particular secrets, and he didn't have any intentions to do so, he just wanted to keep Kimiko's parents aware of what was happening. That she could respect. "I see... I don't even know what I should say to Natto or Tomoroko anymore. I know 'I'm sorry' would just make them more angry than they already were. So... I'll leave that to your discretion as well.", the Guardian would respond. It was proving to be more of an emotional talk than she anticipated.
Finally, her student would ask what would happen to the Z Fighters now. There really weren't very many of them left, due to the high number of Saiyans, or half Saiyans. And how they all left to be with the Alliance, the Empire, or simply to pursue their own gains... "Without any threats to Earth, the Z Fighters are free to do as they please. I would recommend taking up a more peaceful life... Perhaps focusing on their training if they wish. I don't exactly hold command over them, the few that do still follow me..."
The Guardian would pause for a moment. "...I feel I've put them through enough. So for the next seventeen years, I will be watching over Earth from the shadows, as well as raising Kimiko so that she is one day ready to take on the mantle of Guardian of Earth... If any threats arise, I will deal with them personally. Should I fail, well... I know you'll look after Kimiko as well.", Micaela would finish. So that was everything addressed. What was there to happen from this point on? It was difficult to say. She was still trying to gauge what Toru thought of all this.
It was pretty much the worst feeling for everyone involved...

Toru couldn't help but sigh as he listened to Micaela speak of the duties required of a Kami... there were so many, and they were far too serious for Toru to ever be able to handle them properly... while he was strong, she was right in saying he was not the right candidate to take her place... he couldn't handle such big decisions, couldn't make them n a dime when those situations arose... but he couldn't help but wonder what Kimiko would be like... even being raised into this life, would she truly be able to handle it? As she was jsut a baby, there was no way for Toru to know how she would deal with it in terms of her personality.
"I guess you're right. It's just hard for me to let my little niece take up such a huge responsibility while she's still a baby. I'm not doubting the way you will raise her, I know that with you she'll grow up to be a great guardian I just... I don't know maybe I'm just too emotionally attached to the situation to really think straight." Toru would admit as he approached the little saiyaness once more, lightly poking her in the nose before holding his hand up above her eyes, wiggling his fingers about and taunting her to catch them.
"Mizuna left with the Alliance because she believes that's what's best for Kaylee, not because she's particularly mad with you. To be honest she doesn't care where they settle, as long as our daughter can grow up in a saiyan environment. Well, more just to be surrounded by her own people and learn the new saiyan ways that Tomie and Natto are trying to create. They really aren't that bad you know... Tomie will do a good job... and they'll come around. Maybe they won't ever come back to Earth, but we wont have to be enemies." He would say gently as he continued to play with the little baby, a gentle smile crossing his features as he did so. She wasn't even his child, and it was breaking his heart to have to put her through this... he couldn't even imagine how Tomie and Natto felt... Sure she wasn't in any danger but it still couldn't be easy.
Finally, Toru would stand up straight once more, his tail waging beside him and moving to play with Kimiko as he pulled his hands away.
"Right. Well, I trust you completely master Micaela, so if you truly think this is best, then I'll support that. But seeing as the Z fighters are going to be taking a bit of a break, I think I'll go over to the Alliance for a while to be with Mizuna and Kaylee. If it's okay though, I'd like to come back and check up on Kimiko from time to time. When she get's older, maybe I can help train her?" He would offer with a bright smile as he looked between the two girls.
Toru was able to see reason on this, thankfully. He was a good man, and Micaela had no problems trusting him... But this position would break him. She wouldn't wish that on him, he had his ideals, his own methods, it was better for him to work without that being hindered. When you became a Guardian of Earth, you had to forsake that type of freedom. It meant no longer having a normal life, and while she didn't want that for anyone... Not even Kimiko, the simple truth of the matter was that Earth would always need someone to coordinate a defense.
He would make his agreement vocal, though he still expressed his concerns about letting his niece grow up in this type of situation. Micaela would give a small sigh and nod in agreement... The Saiyan Child on the other hand, seemed quite happy at the moment! Kimiko seemed to like the prospect of playing with Toru, even if the most she could perform at the moment was grasping at his fingers... Even though it was difficult to tell what type of person she might be in the future, there was one thing that had been made especially apparent in such a small act.
She was a gentle soul. Nasu was prone to acts of violence, whereas Kimiko... Well, she was a rather peaceful type by comparison. "I don't think you're acting that unreasonable in how you view the situation... But the times are changing, and we all need to move forward in light of that. Earth's people are far too set in their ways for the moment, but having a Saiyan that protects them... That will change their perspective. And that same Saiyan being someone that no one in the Alliance can deny... That will edge things further along."
The Guardian replied... Of course, there was still a potential wrench within the plan; she didn't think very highly of Nasu at all. Maybe she'd been dealing with Saiyans for too long, and developed a negative view on them... But either way, she had a sneaking suspicion about him, that he was going to be a problem in the future. If that was the case, she'd need to prepare for an outcome where he and Kimiko would fight. If there was any luck, she would be wrong. Toru would then begin to speak about why his family left, as he continued to play with the Saiyan Child.
"I see. Then I was mistaken, although... I hope that the Saiyan ways end up working out. Even as good as things are within the Alliance, I can't help but feel that it's...", Micaela would begin to voice some of her concerns... But she'd stop, out of respect for Toru. "Well, I just hope that my fears are proven wrong in the end. I believe Natto can do good things, but... I can't say the same for most of the Saiyans I've met.", she'd finish on that particular subject. It wasn't a pleasant one to talk about.
With that, Toru would turn around and begin using his tail to play with Kimiko instead, the Saiyan Child wasn't bothered by this change of the playing field in the slightest. Micaela couldn't help but smile a little at that... But his next words caused that same smile to fade. So he wanted to be with the Saiyan Alliance, with his family... But at the same time, he still wanted to come back and help raise Kimiko to be the person she needed to be, even offering to help with her training. Micaela thought it over for a moment.
"I'm fine with that. I don't feel right keeping you away from your family... And yes, you can come back to help whenever you like. It may not always be the easiest to find me, but I have a feeling you'll know where to check for me.", the Guardian would respond. So this was the end result of it all, everyone splitting up and walking their own paths... For the most part, in any case. Micaela and Toru were still on good terms, at least. And though she wasn't certain of any reciprocation, she still held respect for Natto.
Tomoroko, well... She was nice enough. Usually. But after this, there was no way they'd be on good terms again, the Guardian simply accepted that fact. But that wouldn't change that Micaela was going to put forth her best effort in raising Kimiko, as well as looking after her. She'd never say it aloud, but the woman believed that the Saiyan Child wouldn't fit in with her race. Though she was born with a notable power, she was also unlike the other Saiyans in many regards... Simply put, Micaela felt that the only place where the Albino Saiyan would fit in...
Was right here on Earth. She looked the part of a Human, and she'd be raised in the same fashion. Come the end of her trials, then the Guardian would explain the Saiyans, why the Alliance was banished... And why she had chosen her out of all people to become the heir to the throne. That was going to be a particularly long conversation one day, but for now, it was so far off that the Guardian could safely set it aside.... And thankfully, this entire discussion with Toru went very well. It was still clear to tell that he wasn't happy with all of it.
But he trusted her, and was willing to go along with the plan. "Thank you for this, Toru... You didn't have to keep trusting me, or even go so far as to help me... I don't think anyone would really blame you for just leaving me here.", the woman mused, she didn't sound particularly sad about it, just... Exhausted, more than anything. If the Kais were willing, the Albino Saiyan would be far more prepared for this type of life. She expected great things out of her, but at the same time...
There would be a time where Kimiko needed someone that accepted all of her failures, and showed her that she didn't need to be a perfect being. That... Was going to be another tricky scenario. Always complicated.

"I really hope that you're right, and that this is the right thing to do. Just, make sure Kimiko knows that parent's are out there and that they do care about her... I mean, I don't think either Tomie or Natto want her to think that they just abandoned her~" He would say gently, not that he thought Micaela was tearing Kimiko away from her family as a whole, but there was nothing more important to him. He knew all too well how it was to grow up without a family, and he didn't want Kimiko to have to feel the way he did when he was younger. Now that he had such a large family of his own, he clung to it with every fiber of his being.
With a sigh and a twitch of his tail as he booped Kimiko in the nose with it, he would shake these sad thoughts from his mind, forcing up his usual goofy grin as he looked up to his instructor.
"Most of the saiyans you've met, master, were with the Empire. So if that's the image that you have of them, I think you'll be left pleasantly surprised by the one's in the Alliance! Hopefully that time comes sooner rather than later, because this is going to start costing me a lot in spaceship gas! hehehe." He would begin to throw jokes out there to lighten the mood, as it had quickly begun to grow sour, and he never liked his friends to feel sad.
"I don't think you'll ever be able to hide from me! You've been my mentor for a long long time! I'll always be able to find you. and hey, there's no way I could ever not trust you or hate you or anything like that! Until Mizuna and Tomie, you've been the closest thing I've had to family, and family sticks together no matter what! Here, Mizuna gave me this thing... so if you need me, you can always call me." He said as he would rifle through his pants pockets. He would pout lightly as he turned both his pockets inside out, then reached into his ki, sifting around inside it before retreiving what looked to be some sort of USB stick.
"Aha! There you are... Here, Mizuna said if you put this into any kind of computer here, it'll link you directly to both my scouter and hers, so we can talk! It's like a space telephone! I'm not really good with all the technology stuff, but Mizuna said it works... and I think you'll need it more than I will at this point." He would say as he handed the stick over to her. If she ever needed him, he'd take the fastest ship he could from the Alliance and head back to Earth. It was going to be hard for him to leave, and Earth was always going to be his home.
"I'll do my best to be there for both of you when you need me." He would say in a slightly more serious tone, though his face kept up his toothy, goofy grin.
Toru expressed his concerns about her being right, but he wasn't being offensive in doing so. He also made a personal request to tell Kimiko about her family... That was something Micaela needed to handle carefully, her future heir didn't need to go running off on her own to try and find her mother and father, after all. She didn't intend to keep the family apart forever, but she'd need to wait until the Saiyan could actually process what was being explained to her, and why it was so important for her to stay on Earth and focus on her training.
But there was no need to dance around the issue like that in regards to Toru's request. "I need to wait until the timing is right, but I'll make sure she knows about her family.", the Guardian assured him. Kimiko, on the other hand, was having a blast just dealing with that wily tail! She was a little fighter, but... Still a gentle one, that much was clear. About after that, Toru cocked one of his usual goofy grins and proceeded to give one of his famous, or perhaps infamous jokes. Still, she couldn't help but smile a little at it.
He did this whenever he didn't want his friends to feel sad, and it was a huge gesture to the woman. "Toru... You're such a goof. But thank you.", Micaela would state with a genuine smile now on her face. It really was difficult to be down in the dumps when he was joking around like that, but it was better to move forward with their heads held high. She couldn't keep sitting here and second guessing herself on what was right or wrong. The least she could do was commit to this, and that was exactly what she would do.
After that, he mentioned there was no way he could hate or distrust her, after all for the longest time, she was the closest thing he had to a family. That wasn't changing even though he knew his real family now. It brought another measure of relief to Micaela, shortly after he pointed out that Mizuna gave him something that was apparently for communication. He began to fish around for it inside of the Gi he was wearing, though it wasn't too long before he retrieved something that looked like a USB stick. It was rather fascinating that it was compatible with Earth technology...
Yet it somehow connected with Scouters, interesting. When did they come up with this? In any case, the Guardian accepted the gift. "I wasn't even aware they made things like this... I suppose it is quite a deal more convenient than using Telepathy all the time, so I'll see about getting this set up.", the Guardian would comment. Her telepathic means of communication was very convenient in the instantaneous delivery, but she could understand why it would be useful to move onto other means of communication as well. Besides, he wanted it to be a nice gesture.
After that, Toru would state that he would do his best to be there for the both of them, all while keeping that signature goofy grin of his. "Thank you, Toru... So I take it you'll be heading back now? I'll make sure to keep you notified of what happens in your absence. But something tells me it's going to be a very quiet string of years for Earth now.", Micaela admitted. So that mostly meant it would just be raising Kimiko, and seeing how that would turn out... There was definitely a lot to do.
At least for now, things could be kept simple. People didn't often come to the Timeless Lookout anymore, so this could serve as Kimiko's childhood home... That offered an advantage in the Pendulum Room; that allowed for extreme methods of training. It would be key in preparing the young Saiyan for the future ahead of her. Micaela didn't use it very often, but in this case she was making an exception. It would be highly necessary in turning the Albino Saiyan from her nearly powerless state into something amazing one day... There were more than just ways to improve her raw strength, too.
Situations could be arranged that would test her skill against a greater foe, in order to learn how to overcome them. Still, that was also far off. For now, Kimiko was little more than a baby. Micaela understood the importance of a child having a childhood, she wasn't about to disrupt that, and... It gave her a chance to be something else for a change. So that appeared to be everything discussed and taken care of... Now Micaela was just wondering on how soon Toru intended to leave, considering he gave a means of communication, he must be intending to leave right away.
Micaela couldn't blame him for that in the slightest, he had children now! Still, that was why she asked him rather than simply assuming anything. If he did want to head towards the Saiyan Alliance, she could definitely handle things here in the meantime, but if he wanted to stay here on Earth for a little while, he was more than welcome to help take care of Kimiko... Setting all of that aside, the Guardian still needed to stay on top of her own training. Just in case anything did happen, and if this plan failed...
She was going to pull Kimiko out of the fire. That was already a vow she had made, though ideally, it wouldn't hit that point. That was the part of the plan that she would mostly keep under wraps, if only because if she appeared to doubt herself now, it would make the entire act of requesting Natto and Tomoroko's child so pointless. If nothing else, Micaela needed to maintain the front of confidence... But considering Toru's efforts, it was hard not to be genuinely happy anyway. The Guardian believed that both sides would be needing the boost to morale more than ever now.

"I can understand that." Toru would say with a nod as Micaela assured him she'd let Kimiko know of her family... at least eventually. He knew it was going to be hard on the young girl, so if Micaela thought that this was the best course of action, then that was fine. As long as she knew in the end. He would then chuckle lightly as she called him a goof, happy to see a smile returning to his mentor's face. There, that was much better! He hated all of these serious situations!
Whenever he handed the stick over to her, and she made a comment on nothaving known something like this existed, his smirk just widened as he chuckled again.
"Well, Mizuna asked mom... er, Kyuri to make it for me. She knew I was going to be staying on Earth a lot so she wanted something that was easier for me to use. I don't have a scouter here so, that was going to be easier to use. My scouter is back home with her though! So as soon as I get back you'll be able to reach me! It's got like, a video chat and stuff on it! I mean, I don't really understand Earth technology that much better, but they said they made it dummy proof~" He would say with another laugh as he felt Kimiko grab his tail finally, causing the saiyan to shudder at the sensation. While it wasn't paralyzing anymore, it still felt weird... maybe that was Tomie's fault for grabbing it all the time when he was a kid.
He would look down to Kimiko with his same goofy grin, lightly poking her in the nose as he wiggled his tail now in her hands.
"I'll leave soon... but I"ll have some stuff to finish up here first. I've got a little farm so I'll have to sell the animals to make sure they get taken care of. Oh! And I"ve got a bunch of stuff at home you could use for Kimiko. I got it all to take care of Kylee but I guess I wont be needing it so you're welcome to it... you know, a baby bed and all that stuff." Toru would state, completely enthralled with playing with the baby for now. Mizuna and Kaylee had only just left back for planet Netto, so it wasn't as if they had made it very far yet. He could take his time wrapping things up here on Earth, telling his friends where he was going and packing up. It sort of left a heavy feeling in his heart to think of leaving, but he wasn't going to show it.
Toru mentioned that he can understand why she wouldn't explain everything about Kimiko's family right away. That was good... The Guardian was hoping she wouldn't need to go into the specific reasons for that, but ultimately she felt it was the best to try and time that properly. Thankfully their subject would change, as he lets out a light chuckle at her calling him a goof. He always liked taking care of his friends, and that showed even now, in just how happy he was that he was able to improve Micaela's mood; and he really did manage to pull that off.
Before, she was content to believe that everyone hated her and she would simply remain in the shadows to perform her duties, but maybe now... It didn't always have to be like that. Shortly after that he would then begin explaining the technology they made adaptable to what was on Earth. So it was Kyuri that had a hand in making this? That made some sense, Micaela and Kyuri never interacted much together, but in the few times they did... Kyuri was one of the few able to tell what was really going through the Guardian's head, every other Saiyan... Well.
That didn't need saying, it spoke for itself. But it was definitely not so for the only one that Micaela would consider an intellectual equal. "I see. I should have expected that Kyuri played a part in this, she's a very interesting woman.", the Guardian admitted. "She's one of the few Saiyans I've met that betray all of my expectations, save for Natto and Tomoroko, as well as you.", she explained. The Saiyan Alliance did want a better life, and she didn't hate most of the people there, truthfully. But it was a tension between the races that would cause things to escalate as they did.
And unfortunately, the Saiyans were too prideful... At least for now, there was always a chance she could be proven wrong, and in a way she hoped that she would be. Because that meant the Saiyan Alliance would likely be allowed back on Earth, and she sincerely hoped that Kimiko would be playing a pivotal role in that future. After his explanations about the useful piece of technology he was given, the Saiyan Child managed to grab hold of his tail! Thankfully he had managed to train away his weakness, even so she wasn't gripping it very tightly.
The little Saiyan would let out a laugh as the tail poked her on the nose again. Then Toru began to explain that he wasn't going to leave Earth right away, he still had some business to sort out, after all! Apparently he also had some things at his home that he'd be willing to give to Micaela, so that she could better take care of Kimiko. "Ah, are you sure you won't need to take any of that with you? I won't lie, it will definitely help, but I don't want to make things difficult for you."
The Guardian inquired. Toru and Kimiko were having such a blast together, honestly... If Micaela didn't know any better, she'd assume that he was the child's actual father. A part of her hoped she would be that natural with Kimiko one day, even though this was an adoption, she was going to consider the Albino Saiyan her daughter. It was only fair that she be counted properly as a member of Micaela's family, and... Well, having a child of her own was something that always appealed to her. She had a feeling the Saiyan would grow up looking very similar to her.
"Well, while you're getting everything sorted out, feel free to stay here on the Lookout for as long as you need. I will still consider this a place of respite for those that have need. It seems like Kimiko likes having you around, too.", the Guardian stated with a smile. It still seemed so unreal to Micaela, all of the Saiyans she had met, save for a handful were a violent, war loving people. Even the children seemed to be born that way, but then there was the odd one out in Kimiko.
She'd shudder to think what would happen if Micaela didn't make the personal request to raise her. The Albino Saiyan would have been an outcast among her people... For her looks, and likely for her personality as well. She was a gentle soul at heart, and even Natto wasn't entirely like that at first. Or at least, that's what she had heard. Micaela had no way of knowing just how true that actually was, and she wasn't going to start asking questions about it. She respected who he was now, and that was all that mattered. So what else was there to discuss?
"Hmm... I think we've gone over everything now, Toru. I'm glad that we were able to clear up so many things. If there's anything else we need to talk about, I don't mind doing so, otherwise I think it's about time that I start getting my business sorted as well.", Micaela would state with another smile. She'd need to get things planned out within that Holy Order that housed the legendary blade. The sooner she could get that over with, the better. It would be a safe place for the Albino Saiyan to be raised in her later years, and it would teach her much of what she needed to know.
Besides that, Micaela would need to organize a lot about Kimiko's new life... She was going to be perfectly integrated with Earth and it's people and cultures. But just in case things went wrong, the Guardian would need backup plans. Her mind was racing with the possibilities, though she was still trying to pay attention to Toru. In either case, she had fallen silent and was waiting for him to respond. As for Kimiko? She was still having fun with that tail! At least she wasn't hard to amuse.

"Hahaha, yeah she's not very strong at all but she's smart. She's one of the founders of the Alliance, along with Natto and Tomie you know, so I'm sure with the 3 of them working together, they'll whip those saiyans into shape in no time~ I'm excited to see what the Alliance becomes, and just when they'll be allowed back. They're good people, they just need a new way of thinking is all." Toru would say absent mindedly about the Alliance saiyans. They weren't exactly the type to be heroes, or all about justice, but those that had left the Empire to join them were sick of the evil and corrupt ways of the old Queen. That alone had to mean something. He had high hopes for the Alliance, and now that he was going back there, he hoped he could push it along in the right direction.
Whenever Micaela asked if he was sure about the baby items, the man would just nod before speaking.
"Of course, Mizuna has everything she needs back at her place, what I have was just basically doubles so she wouldn't have to lug everything around on every trip. I'll start bringing stuff up tomorrow, you'll just have to bunk up with Kimiko for the night!" He would continue to jest as he finally managed to wiggle his tail out of Kimiko's grasp, allowing himself to turn around fully so that he was face to face with Micaela.
"Right, I'll be around for a bit to check up on you two~ You can't get in trouble without me around~ Oh and Master?" he would pause at this point before taking a step closer to her and suddenly bringing her into a tight hug, always mindful of Kimiko still in her arms.
"I know you'll do a good job, and I know Kimiko will grow up to be a fine young woman one day. Have some faith in the Alliance, they'll do good things, they're just starting out as a faction, so technically they're just babies too." He would say before pulling out of the hug, leaning over Kimiko and kissing her forehead before the half breed saiyan would leap back away from the pair, bringing a hand up in a wave as he once more flashed his goofy smile.
"I'll be back tomorrow! Kimiko, you behave now okay?" He would say to the little girl before disappearing through the door and flying on home.

Toru then went into a little more detail about Kyuri, how she lacked strength but made up for it with intelligence, and honestly... It was a little refreshing to see a Saiyan like that, if only because it meant there were members of that race that weren't solely interested in fighting; for fun or otherwise. And the fact that she was given such a special position within the Saiyan Alliance spoke lengths about the type of faction they intended to create. It wouldn't happen overnight, but it could happen in the future... She'd be alive to see how it would turn out.
"I hope that when they find a new way of thinking, everyone is willing to accept it. A great number of the Saiyans I've met are nothing if not very stubborn... Still, those within the Alliance have made a first step in breaking away from the Empire.", she would more or less agree with his assessment... The Saiyan Empire, on the other hand, that was still a problem. Micaela had a great strength, but she didn't have the sheer numbers to compete with the Empire. Some might believe that in light of that, breaking off any potential protection with the Alliance was a bad idea.
And she couldn't entirely disagree with that notion. All she could do is hope that Natto and Tomoroko would be able to settle things with the Saiyan Queen. The Guardian did offer her help, but they seemed keen on settling that war alone... Or maybe, it was just they felt she wasn't welcome there, whatever the case was, she likely wouldn't be participating in any wars, perhaps that was for the best, as someone needed to take care of Kimiko after all... And leaving Earth entirely undefended didn't sit very well with her.
Still, Micaela felt like she owed them for all the trouble, and she wasn't getting the chance to repay any of the debts anytime soon. In any case, Toru would point out that it wasn't any trouble to give her the supplies, as Mizuna had everything they needed back home. The Guardian would give an understanding nod in response. "Well then, I'll graciously accept the gift!", she'd reply with a smile. It was true though, for the night she'd just have to make due with what was available until Toru was able to deliver everything. Luckily she wasn't entirely unprepared for this.
She didn't have everything, but with Toru's help, she'd be even further along. Finally, he managed to pull his tail free from Kimiko's grasp, and the Saiyan Child proceeded to relax a little more in Micaela's arms. Toru would then say that he'd be around to check up on them every now and then... Before then proceeding to bring the Guardian into a hug, being mindful of the child in her arms, of course. Micaela was a little surprised, but cooperated with the hug. He offered more words of assurance that things were going to work out, and she wanted to believe him.
And she did. Micaela would give another nod. "Thank you, Toru... I'll make sure everything here goes well.", she'd state in reference to Earth, as well as raising Kimiko. "Make sure the Saiyan Alliance doesn't lose their way. I know they're capable of good things if they try... They just need to actually try.", Micaela would more or less practically state her agreement. She still didn't entirely trust the Saiyans, too much had happened, too little time and change took place. But even so, the Guardian couldn't deny what was there. There was potential, they had to realize it.
No one else could do that for them, not even she could, with all of the power she held. Toru would finally kiss Kimiko on the forehead, after that he'd leap back and give a wave and another goofy grin. The Saiyan Child seemed rather amused by it, and moved her tiny hands as if trying to mimic the gesture. With his farewell out of the way, Toru left shortly after. Leaving Micaela and Kimiko alone on the Timeless Lookout. The Guardian would carefully stand up with the Saiyan Child still in her arms. "I knew you'd like him."
She said with a smile to the little Saiyan. "There's not many people that hate him. He makes it pretty difficult for you to do that.", she'd continue her conversation. True, Kimiko still wasn't at the age where any of the words held any meaning, but the child seemed to appreciate the attention she was receiving, and it did Micaela some good to talk a little bit, not hold everything inside her own head all the time... With everyone going their separate ways, she would have been sorely lacking in social activity if not for the child in her arms.
"I'm not quite as fun as he is. I've tried, and it ends up a little awkward.", she'd add with a small laugh... But that was probably one of the times where his smile became even goofier than usual. One would probably think that Micaela and Toru would never get along, but they were best friends, and if things had turned out a little differently, she probably wouldn't have minded getting into a relationship with him. But that was neither here nor there now, this was the cards that Life chose to deal out, and she'd certainly play them.
"Now, let's get you settled into the Lookout! You need to see more than this boring throne room all the time!", Micaela added, and began to set out from the throne room. For once, her home felt a little less quiet and lonely. Toru did a good job at fixing that usually, but he had his own life to deal with, a family to be with. But Micaela and Kimiko? They'd be together for a very long time. Even if the Albino Saiyan wouldn't always be aware of her presence... In the Guardian's mind, nothing was going to separate them now.
She'd grown quite attached to the child, after all.
