Arion had finally landed on Namek, it took him quite a bit considering the distance between the two planets but in the end, he could see his homeworld’s beauty once more with his own eyes. Too bad he had not come there to just admire the planet and stare somewhere before taking off and go back to Earth once more, at first he had just told Helix to go on Namek after he saw the Saiyan menace from the Lookout but thankfully the planet was not blown up or anything, while he expected something like that to happen.
Or rather, Nasu himself had mentioned that now that he thought about it but it was not important overall. Although, not too long ago Helix suggested him to visit their homeworld in order to advance in his studies and achieve new strength. Either way, it was too late to change idea, he was already flying towards the capital after all.
At first, he couldn’t find Helix, his sense was rather too limited but that’s when he realized he had to take a step further and so he did. He closed his eyes and imagined the whole planet as a field-- a field he could see, and from there he extended his sense outwards, struggling at first but then he began to feel them; the Ki of everyone on the planet. He smirked as he noticed that among them there was also Helix’s. “Great!” - he thought to himself.
His old beloved capital, he had no idea if it had changed at all or nor but he could recognize a few Ki signatures; just like Helix’s. The Warrior Caste Namekian had already made his way to the capital after all, and compared to Arion, who had just been missing for what? Months? A year? He couldn’t even remember anymore but Helix had not been on Namek for years. Either way, he was entirely sure that Helix was enjoying his time there, although the two weren’t there just to chat with their kinsmen, Helix himself was willing to become stronger.
“I’m sure he’s already getting acquainted with the people there once more. I am sure the Elders welcomed him warmly, it has been so long after all. Oh well, I guess I’ll find out soon!” - he thought to himself, cracking a smile across his face. He landed onto the ground as soon as he spotted the capital, it seemed as lively as usual; not as much as cities but still there was a good amount of people around.
Each one of them shifted their gaze at the newcomer, beaming as they recognized him and approached him to give him a warm welcome. “H-hey guys, haha! It’s good to see you all. I see most of you have not changed at all!” - he said, letting out a chuckle as he exchanged words with most of the people there.
All of a sudden, one more Namekian walked up to the Dragon Clansman; Helix. He wore his usual attire and held a grin across his face, his arms folded on his chest as he watched the scene. Arion didn’t immediately take note of his presence until a few moments later, returning the grin with one of his own. “It’s great to be here once more, but for now, you’ll have to excuse me, my friends.” - he said, walking up to Helix as the latter one nodded and gestured him to follow.
“You took your sweet time, Arion. Heh, but I guess you’ve had your hands full on Earth.” - he said.
Arion looked down, narrowing his eyes. “Y-yeah, sorry for forcing you to go, Helix. But I am sure you understand both of us could be in the Afterlife right now, but we got out of it.. kind of.” - he replied.
Helix raised a brow at his statement, questioning his tone shortly after. “Kind of? What do you mean?”
“Kami-sama’s nowhere to be found. And we’ve had a few victims.” - he told him.
Helix frowned, his eyes set on the fellow Namekian before he looked away. “..Nowhere to be found? That’s ridiculous.. how would she disappear out of nowhere? I mean.. none of this makes sense! Can you explain everything from the beginning?” - he asked.
Arion sighed, nodding shortly after. “Alright. It’s a long story but I guess we’ve got enough time. As you can tell, the Saiyans had come once more.. but this time, Nasu was not himself- some kind of manipulation. It’s probably the dark power Obsidia came to warn us of some days prior to this. I tried to confront them in the beginning, just like a fool but my objective was to give Atsuko some time to prepare or anything. In the end, Kami-sama and Nasu ended up fighting while there were a few minor conflicts.” - he paused briefly, giving Helix a break before he spoke up once more.
“In the meanwhile, someone used the Dragon Balls and-”
“W-wait, someone used the Dragon Balls?!” - Helix commented in utter shock, frowning as he took note of Arion nodding.
“Yes. And unfortunately, it was all but a good wish. And even worse is that he joined the fray and only made things worse.” - he let out a sharp exhale, glancing upwards as he stared at the sky blankly.
“In the end, Nasu was capable of coming up with his senses and the fight ended with his victory, but at least he was not willing to kill anyone else at that point-- nor was he planning to destroy the planet anymore. But, Atsuko suddenly disappeared into a portal created from.. someone I’ve never seen before, although she was not Human. I can tell that much.” - he said, finally done with his speech.
Helix listened in awe, nodding slowly before he shifted his gaze forward. “I see. it’s kind of confusing here and there but now that you are here, we must continue our training and most especially yours. The Elders are looking forward to speaking with you, most especially Elder Katsu.” - he said, stepping inside a huge building; the palace where all the Elders there used to meet and discuss urgent matters.
Arion followed and walked inside a huge room, only to find some sort of circle with more than just a few Elders. The Namekians kneeled in a respectful manner, greeting them before the door behind them closed, engaging in a long and boring conversation. Arion spoke of his time on Earth and what had happened recently until the Elders dismissed the two, giving Arion a warm welcome before he left the room.
One hour later…
Arion was waiting out of the building for Elder Katsu to join him, while Helix had left to take care of some business in a small village. “I wonder if Elder Katsu has considered my request to finish up my training, he might as well deny it for some reason. I doubt he will. Why would he?” - he mumbled under his breath until he took note of Katsu standing right next to him. He was a rather old Namekian, with a white mustache and a common Dragon Clansman attire. “Sorry for the delay but there was a lot we had to discuss. So, I suppose it’d be about time we end your training.. or am I wrong?” - he said, offering the younger Namekian a smile as Arion beamed. “Yes, Elder Katsu.” - he replied.
The older Namekian gestured him to follow back inside the building but this time, they walked down the stairs and reached a basement that looked like an ancient training room. Katsu walked in the middle of the mat, gesturing Arion to stand in front of him and so he did. Arion was about to indulge in a spar but Katsu raised a hand and shook his head. “No, no. First, you must balance yourself, find your center. Your spirit is shaken, it must be calm. Come on then, join me.” - he said, placing his palm against the other, his eyes closing as a golden aura flared around him.
Arion raised a brow, listening to him before he nodded in agreement and joined him. But instead, a purple ki aura flared around him. He cleared his mind, his thoughts no more occupying his mind as he focused on the energy flowing inside his body but somehow all of this made him feel better. Perhaps it was thanks to Katsu’s presence or to his influence but he felt calm-- calmer than he had ever been.
Katsu opened his eyes and watched him with a smile on his face, the older Namekian changing his stance to a simple fighting stance which was also known as the Dragon Clan fighting stance. Arion tapped automatically into his inner power and opened his eyes, following Katsu’s moves, struggling a bit to learn the fighting stance properly but he got the hang of it shortly after. “Let us begin then.” - Katsu said before the two sprinted towards each other and began an exchange of blows, fighting up to the last of their power.
Then, all of a sudden Katsu retreated slightly and naturally Arion chased him but Katsu suddenly shot a pair of lasers out of his eyes, thankfully the younger Namekian saw it coming and dodged while it could have gone much worse. “Let your body be your instrument, dance with your essence as you use your body as an expression of your spirit.” - he told him telepathically. It was rather confusing but Arion understood what he meant; he had to release Ki through his body, just like Katsu did a moment ago. Arion nodded, making use of telepathy to reply. "..I see."
The older Namekian raised a hand and a bunch of small crates began to float in midair before they launched themselves towards Arion, the latter one widened his eyes and dodged most of them but then Katsu shot a larger crate towards the fellow Dragon Clansman. Arion frowned, his eyes set on the crate as he realized what he should have done. He had to release his energy through his body, just like Katsu said and so he did, shooting a pair of lasers from his eyes, they pierced through the crate as it cut in half and fell down.
It was not that difficult for Arion to learn it as he was used to such techniques; just like his Antenna Beam. Katsu grinned and nodded. “Pretty good! Let us continue then!” - he said before both engaged in the spar once more, both lasting for more than a few hours. Both were exhausted, catching their breaths but then Katsu spoke up. “Pretty good. You’ve come to learn the basics of the Dragon Arts just as easy as I expected. I guess we can call this a day, I suggest you have some practice with Helix in the meanwhile. But we’ll meet soon. Once again, welcome back Arion. It’s good to have you and Helix here.” - he said, cracking a warm smile before he offered a bow of his head.
Arion returned the smile and nodded. “Thank you, master.”
