It had been weeks since Arion’s arrival on Namek and he had already met a few locals and foreigners; like Xiao and Amaya. Xiao was a fellow Dragon Clansman, with a huge potential but he lacked skill. Although he was pretty sure he could become a strong and powerful member of their race one day, Arion had also offered to lend a hand in his training which could also be a good chance to get some practice in himself.
On the other hand, Amaya was not a Namekian but she was apparently a powerful being meant to restore balance in the universe. She was quite chaotic but he couldn’t really blame her, she didn’t mean any damage after all but justice. Both of them had great promise and hopefully willing to defend the planet. “Well, can’t tell about Amaya though. She seems to be leaning towards destruction at the moment but she isn’t an evil being.” - he thought to himself.
Then there was Helix, he considered him a brother even if they were of different castes but the two had been great friends since childhood. He was of the Warrior Caste but he was actually on par with Arion’s strength which was almost surprising but the Dragon Clansman was stronger than the average Namekian. “He should be here anytime soon, hopefully at least. We were supposed to meet here after all.” - he thought to himself.
That day, Arion was meditating in the Southern Continents, he had learned to center himself properly and furthermore have a greater concentration in his meditation sessions. That’s when he attempted to do something he had never thought of; could he reach out to Earth? It was difficult enough to sense an entire planet, how would it be humanly possible? “Perhaps, if I just think of the Humans’ signature and extend my focus through the whole system.. that might be possible.” - he thought to himself, and that’s what he did. The Namekian focused and extended his sense outwards, his mind traveling far away from the green marble as he felt something familiar; the Earthlings’ signature.
He concentrated and appointed it out, he could sense it; Earth. He smiled slightly as he recalled his time there, but unfortunately, while he could sense most Earthlings, he couldn’t sense Atsuko’s which meant she had not come back yet. He sighed, shaking his head slowly. “I wonder where she’s gone off to.. hopefully, she’ll be back soon.” - he mumbled under his breath until he noticed a familiar presence; Helix’s.
He had finally arrived, standing next to Arion as the latter one opened his eyes and stood up. “Hey, Helix. Ready for today’s sparring session?” - he greeted him, ready to indulge in a spar. Helix smiled and replied. “Yeah, I am. This time, I’ll use my own inner power as well, so we’ll try to make this harder but more useful for both of us.” - he said, jumping away as he set a certain distance between the two and a purple Ki aura flared around him.
Arion clenched his fists, powering up himself until both were to an equal level. The Dragon Clansman made the first move and shot a pair of Eye Lasers from his eyes, but thankfully Helix managed to dodge and deliver a blow to his stomach. From there on, Arion began dodging all of his blows until Helix kicked him upwards and while Arion was still in mid-air, he decided to make use of a powerful blue energy cannon but before it could hit Arion, the Dragon Clansman vanished and reappeared behind Helix.
The Dragon Clansman’s speed had increased since last time and he had just managed to master the Afterimage technique. “That was good! What kind of training did you do with Elder Katsu?” - Helix asked.
“Nothing newer than usual; meditation and sparring but that time he taught me how to balance my movements. I’m nowhere near his level but I can strike with more powerful blows now!”
Helix widened his eyes, nodding in understanding before the two exchanged blows between each other. “I see. I’d probably try to hit up the Warrior Caste master and see if he can teach me some trick sooner or later! But for now, I think I can handle this.” - he said, punching Arion in the face. The Dragon Clansman smirked and returned him a punch of his own, continuing to fight for hours.
Hours later…
The two were sitting, catching their breath as they had used most of their energies-- they could definitely call that a day. “So, when are you going to meet with Elder Katsu again?” - Helix asked.
Arion shrugged, glancing upwards before he stretched his arms. “No idea. He said he’d let me know, probably he’ll contact me or something. Either way, I can’t wait to advance in my training, and hopefully... this will prove to be good just as I expected. Because it has, for now. It’s a pleasure to be here once more but I can’t wait to be done with this training to go back on Earth.”
Helix nodded, letting out a chuckle. “Right. I suppose you miss them, don’t you?” - he asked. Arion offered a nod in agreement, looking at the fellow green man. “Yeah, but that’s not all. I’m still worried about Kami-sama, and the others. I shouldn’t have left without telling anyone.” - he said, standing up as he walked up to the edge of the island. “I left a note but I don’t really feel right with it now that I think about it. It feels like I ran away like a coward, no need to say I hate this feeling.” - he said, much to Helix’s surprise.
“Like a coward? Didn’t you face the Saiyans even if they were miles ahead of you? You’ve just come here to train and come stronger to actually do something for the planet, remember this. Now, I think it’s better if we take some rest anyway. We’ll spar again as soon as possible-- oh, and let me know if Elder Katsu would let me watch! I’m curious to see what your training is about.” - he said, offering a grin to the Dragon Clansman who returned it with a grin of his own. “Thanks, Helix. And yeah sure, I’ll ask.” - he said before he waved goodbye to Helix and took off, flying away.
