Explanations [Nasu/Invite]

Nasu was in his temporary chambers in the Southern Islands, still thinking about the last fight, where he ended up allowing Jarvis to toy with him and escape, all the while being offended by Atsuko, calling him a backstabber, which wasn’t true and annoyed him to no end. ”That bitch… And that bastard… I’m done with both of them!” he thought to himself, hammering the arm of his chair and sighing deeply as he thought about what he should be doing next. ”Now that she is back, although with that wicked feeling on her ki, I’ve did good to my promise to mother, and I’ve kept this planet safe. Still… I don’t feel quite like leaving this outpost. I really feel like keeping it, to recover the Alliance’s original land, back at the time when it was still called Reborn Saiyan Alliance.” Nasu wondered, touching his chin with his thumb and forefinger and massaging it a bit. He was all alone in his chambers and, while lost in thoughts, he sensed someone approaching, with an energy signature he immediately recognized; it was his brother Komatsu.

He had managed to grow even stronger than before after the Golden Ape episode, and that made Nasu happy. Still, the words he uttered while blinded by rage, they left an impression on the Overseer of the Saiyan Alliance. Nasu exhaled deeply and stared at the automatic door of his temporary base and then he was shocked!

At first Nasu’s expression was that of boredom and, to a certain degree, tiredness. He was tired. Tired of burdening such responsibilities; those he bestowed upon himself, and those the others bestowed upon him. He was never a leader before claiming back the Alliance, never a team player, he was selfish and egoistical. Nasu was a warrior to the core and all he cared about was to fight, but things changed and people change. Everyone he had to look after made him grow as a person and as a leader and, although flawed, he was really doing his best. Anyway, staring at this female version of Komatsu was something he never expected seeing and his jaw dropped ever so slightly and a drop of cold sweat ran down his temple.

– W-what is this?! – he exclaimed, thinking that maybe the stress was finally screwing up his mind, but then Komatsu spoke with a weird female voice that bothered him to no end, making him frown his lips in a disgusted grimace. That look on his face quickly became a serious and slightly irritated one when the responsible for that was revealed and, to no surprise, it was Jarvis again.

– Jarvis… Dammit, I should have killed him when I had the chance… I gave him an warrior’s duel and he spit on my face… Can we fix you? I swear to god I will put every saiyan in the Alliance on the look for those wishing orbs if that’s what it takes! – he said in a harsh and yet concerned tone.

”Damn, I forgot about their cool down!” Nasu muttered to himself when Komatsu mentioned that, and, impressing Nasu even more, he said that if there was no way to revert it he would just get used to it and that made his older brother raise one of his eyebrows. – Really? That’s not something easy… But if you say so… I guess it will be hard for me to get used to it too… - he admitted, sighing and scratching his eyes for a second before staring back at his younger brother, or sister, or whatever he should call Komatsu now.

He said that there was a lot of important things to talk about and Nasu exhaled again, deeply, showing how much tired he was from it, but he didn’t complain; instead he just nodded, saying he agreed to talk about whatever it was. Deep inside he knew it had to do with Atsuko most likely, and that was annoying, but his albino sister was a plate full of trouble all over the year, and he couldn’t expect anything different from that. Komatsu said that he went to talk to her after the event of his transformation and that made him gaze away for a second. – Why doesn’t it surprise me… - he said in a little disappointed tone.

She continued to say that Atsuko agreed to allow him to stay there, with his squad, to rebuild the city he destroyed and, surprisingly, to rebuild the outpost, which made Nasu quite impressed, but, as quick as he got impressed, he frowned his brows, knowing that there was a catch, and Komatsu shortly afterwards revealed that there was a condition.

– And what is that condition? That all other saiyans can’t come here? That I am banished from this land? Anything about that? She is predictable as fuck, so… I figure it’s something like that anyway… - his tone was slightly irritated, but leaning more towards the side where he had enough of it rather than being just outright pissed at her for any stupid rivalry and dislike they had for each other.

Nasu didn’t say a word while Komatsu explained Atsuko’s conditions and, as he had expected, it required him to leave Earth. Somehow that irritated him but all at the same time he was relieved of getting rid of such a burden. Still, Komatsu and some others would be staying and the new saiyaness seemed to want that. Nasu couldn’t really pinpoint the true reason behind her motivation, but he believed it had something to do with that traitor girl he liked. ”He… I mean she… May also want to be far from me… Wouldn’t really surprise me…” he added to his thoughts, sighing just a bit, before clearing his throat, but before he could start speaking, Komatsu continued to say that he was sorry that he handled everything poorly and admitted he should have gone to Nasu more often. Nasu, on the other hand shook his head.

– You didn’t trust me. You still don’t. That’s why you don’t come to me often. You don’t think I will listen to you and that was true… In the past. I’ve changed, and yet people don’t notice that. Guess I can’t do much about it anyway. You want to stay here, stay… If the condition for peace is exiling our race and you are fine with that, so be it. I won’t argue with that. I will be leaving today. I will finish preparations as soon as possible. – he said in a serious tone, but deep inside it had traces of sadness. ”Mine is a lonely road… Deal with it.” he thought to himself as he got up from his chair and walked towards the exit, stopping at Komatsu’s side.

– Anything else you want to talk to me about? If not, I will be informing everyone to pack, except for your squad. – he added.

”A lie repeated a thousand times become truth or so they say…” Nasu thought to himself while he heard Komatsu’s words. When the saiyaness grabbed his sleeve he stopped, staring at her with the corner of his black eyes. He repeated that his goal was to see their family together, fulfilling the intention of their parents, and Nasu simply nodded. – You do that… That’s beyond my capabilities anyway. – he admitted; Nasu couldn’t do it. He could get along with Cambia, yes, but Atsuko was too much for him to even comprehend. She had moments of saiyan in her, only to forfeit them wholeheartedly on the following second.

Then, Komatsu rested her face on his shoulder and that made Nasu arch his brows, as if she was seeking comfort on him. ”Odd…” he mused for a while and, in a rather unsure sense, he sort of hugged her with one of his arms around her back, while she mentioned that she hadn’t finished screwing up, and proceeded to inform him that Jarvis came and they struck a deal. Nasu held his breathe for a while and then exhaled slowly as she began to explain the terms of her deal and what motivated her to even bargain with him to begin with. Nasu shook his head in disappointment.

– You are naïve, Koma. I’ve struck a deal with Jarvis, he didn’t live up to his side of the bargain and betrayed me on the first opportunity he had. He has no honor, he upholds no deal. It’s foolish of you to even accept something like that. – he started, pausing for a bit. – I don’t think it’s wise to accept this duel, not because I don’t think you can win, because I do think, but Jarvis is tricky and has no honor, he will play dirt. – he warned her. – I can… I can null this deal. My authority regarding the Alliance is greater than yours. But do whatever you want. – he also added. – I can’t really smack sense into you when you decide something anyway… Still, I won’t abide by any rule in case you lose, nor will the Alliance. I didn’t struck a deal with Jarvis. – he pointed out, letting go of his hug.

”No, Koma… I will destroy his Empire and kill him… I will keep on killing him every time he comes back… But I guess there’s no point in telling you that… I will let you play with Jarvis… And while you do that, I will show him that I’m not afraid of his power…” the saiyan overseer thought to himself, while staring at the saiyaness.

The saiyaness remembered when they struck a deal. She wasn’t there because of how emotional she used to get when Jarvis was the subject, even when his hormones were still way more controlled in his male version. All because of the death of Athren. And now, he was even capable of making new deals with Jarvis. ”He has grown in a way I suppose.” Nasu thought to himself, still having difficulties to call Komatsu a “she”, even though the body in front of him left no doubt on that regard and, upon noticing that, he shook his head ever so slightly. But then Komatsu said that she only struck the deal because there was a certain degree of certainty on Jarvis upholding his side of the bargain. Nasu arched one of his eyebrows, with an intrigued expression on his face. – Really? – he asked, in a skeptic tone.

That was when Komatsu showed something on her arm, a mark. Nasu narrowed his eyes immediately and anger crossed his eyes; much more contained than before, but still there, burning like a blazing hell. He had his share of marks for a life time and didn’t like Komatsu having a mark on herself in the slightest. It was a magical mark too, that appeared after they agreed to their terms and after she said that, she continued to claim that they couldn’t handle another war and that they couldn’t rely on their Super Saiyans for everything, even going as far as to mention the Alliance-Empire war, which led Nasu to finally lose most of his cool and grit his teeth, angered.

– I know how the war was! I was fighting on the frontlines! – he roared at his “sister”. – Do you think I’m relying on super saiyans?! I’m training a lot of people, I’m sharing my power! Sharing the teachings of our parents! We are stronger now than they were! I’m almost as strong as father was and I’m stronger than mother was! You are nearly at that mark! Miso and Karota are both super saiyan two now, and Negi is dead close! Even Hotato and that bastard kid, Houri, are Super Saiyans now! Damn! Fennle and Luffa too! – he said, growling a bit as he spoke. – I’m not being cocky or stupid, but there’s no war we can’t win and the Ceruleans are weak! Because Jarvis is not a military person! He is just wicked and strong because of a cheating trick he stunted! He has no discipline, he can’t barely fight like a warrior! – Nasu pointed out the fact that Jarvis wasn’t well versed in martial arts and that memory made him feel a bitter taste on his mouth. ”I could have killed him… I SHOULD have killed him!” for some reason Nasu was beginning to believe that this regret was going to haunt him for quite some time.

Then, when she said that in case she lost the Alliance wouldn’t be affected, Nasu scoffed and a vein popped out of his right temple in anger.

– Male or female, you really have difficulty to think, don’t you?! You go behind my back and accept magical conditions and mark yourself, even though after what happened to me you should’ve known better than to get marked by any magical shit! – he started, screaming angrily. – Then you struck a shit deal where you either get screwed or Jarvis sits on his tail for one hundred years… One hundred years!! I will be only be beginning to get old by one hundred years, you moron! We are saiyans! We live a LOT! We are still young by the age of eight, for fuck sake! – he reminded his “sister” of that little biological fact. – And to make things even more stupid you say that you would be the only one affected?! For fuck sake, Komatsu, you may have a shitty opinion of me but… - and that was when his power skyrocketed immediately, like never before and, against all odds, Nasu jumped from his base form straight to his fully powered super saiyan three form.

– If anything bad happens to you because of that bastard, it affects the whole Alliance, because, Komatsu, if he go as far as to touch your hair, not even the afterlife will be safe from my wrath! I will fucking obliterate this whole fucking universe!!!!!! – Nasu roared with all his power and rage overflowing.

Nasu’s aura was pulsating like crazy as he overflowed with the sheer brutal power of the pinnacle of a saiyan’s power, the very same power their parents has acquired, the ultimate form – or at least what they believed it was. The situation wasn’t even close to being good and even Komatsu realized that one hundred years meant absolutely nothing and, although they could potentially train better soldiers to be able to defeat the Cerulean Empire, so could Jarvis, which ultimately led to a stupid little draw that angered Nasu even more. After that she revealed that she didn’t know they were going to be magically marked and that annoyed Nasu even more. – You didn’t know?! – he roared, gritting his teeth so hard they almost broke. She continued to say that she wanted to become more than the Overseer little brother and that only angered Nasu more and more because, even though he was promoted, he was still seeing himself in such a stupid shady light; it was about time Komatsu creped out of the shadow of his own lack of self-esteem.

Then again she was complaining that she wasn’t a baby anymore, saying Nasu couldn’t prevent her from fighting Jarvis and even mentioned her support of him when he decided to fight Atsuko and that made Nasu laugh in despise, folding his arms and shaking his head. – Supported me?! Miso already told me of your little plot. You guys were never there to support me! You were all there to stop me! I won’t blame you for that… I was fucking evil at the time, but don’t come to me with lies! – he said in a bitter tone, narrowing his eyes a bit.

– Now, how about you cut the crap and stop whining? You should stop bitching about being seen only as my little brother! You have mom’s rank now, for fuck sake! You are the strongest in the Alliance after me! Grow a pair of balls, no matter how hard it is now that you actually don’t have a single one, and become a saiyan, or a saiyaness, or whatever!! Just stop underestimating yourself, dammit!! – he added with anger, but much less than before as he reverted back to his base form effortlessly.

After that though, Komatsu said that maybe this deal wasn’t so bad and, in his eyes, it was clear that he thought of something. – How so? – Nasu asked and he began speaking his plan: they would attack the Cerulean Empire while Komatsu and Jarvis fought against each other. Seemed like a decent plan, but Nasu wasn’t so sure of that and arched one of his brows, intrigued. – Wouldn’t that screw up your stupid deal? – he asked Komatsu.

His rage was clear as water with the sole thought of imagining Jarvis doing anything against his younger “sister”, the one he cared the most among his large number of seemingly ever increasing siblings. His power was absurd, he was definitely the strongest being alive in the universe right now, with only Atsuko and Jarvis getting close enough to pose a real duel against him, and, yet, Komatsu didn’t falter or flinched. No, the saiyaness stood right in front of Nasu with bravery in her dark eyes and that wasn’t unnoticed by the saiyan Overseer, making him narrow his eyes, intrigued. ”Hm…” he thought to himself.

When Komatsu began speaking again, the first thing she said was that she had always supported his duel against Atsuko, and that much was true, but that wasn’t the whole story. She also claimed that the only time she had been against him was when she was brainwashed by the Saiyan Empire and Nasu scoffed at that. – Cut the crap, you wanted to stop me from finishing Kimiko off all along! Even Miso, of all people, wanted that too. How do you think I feel when all of the few people I actually trusted go behind my back?! – he asked him, with a little bit of frustration in his tone, and then he paused, sighing deeply. – Of course I wasn’t on my right mind while I was marked by that bastard, but, still, you guys are making an habit of going behind my back and it bothers me! I wish you of all people could trust me! – the Saiyan added, before sighing again.

After that he began complaining about not being worthy again, bringing up the fact that he had yet to win a single duel and that made Nasu shake his head. – You may not have won a duel, but you far outclass most people who defeated you in the past. Jie Shan can’t touch you, nor can Miso or Karota… If you fail to recognize that, you are big and stupid moron! – his words were bitter, but he was being honest.

Finally, when the topic reached the duel, Komatsu informed that it wasn’t set in stone the rules, and that could be used to his advantage. Nasu touched his chin with his thumb and forefinger and he nodded. – Yeah… If that’s the case, then we can most certainly use this window and obliterate his Empire. But… - he paused for e brief moment. – You can’t beat him as you are now. Especially not without a full moon to help you ascend to that foul form of yours. Tsch… To think you would follow the Wicked Queen’s path… - and he was clearly disappointed. – I hoped you would follow our parents and become a Super Saiyan Three, but I think that ship is sailed now… Anyway… - Nasu paused yet again. – Cambia told me the Lookout has a very special place…. A place where you can train one year worth of training in a single day. Why don’t you use the fact that Atsuko likes you to your advantage and use this damn chamber or whatever the fuck this is. I’m sure in one year you could kick Jarvis ass so bad, that he would need to reincarnate in another body to ever recover! – the saiyan suggested.
