Finally, Scion felt like she was ready to head out and face the world! Today marked the first say that the young girl would leave the Monastery behind, no escort by her side, completely and totally free, on her own in the big bad world! While that seemed like the most fantastic for any teenager her age, Scion was scared.
She had spent her whole life behind the walls of the Monastery, training with the Knights and the monks. She knew next to nothing about the outside world, only what was taught to her there. How was she supposed to help anyone with such limited knowledge? At least the job she had selected from the Knights was a simple one. There was a group of bandits terrorizing a small town on the outskirts of West City it seemed, and the town had been trying to hire help for a while, but was only constantly taken advantage of. Finally, the Knights deemed it fit to intervene, and sent Scion to deal with the issue.
she clung to the paper tightly as she flew through the skies of the Western wastelands. She would spot the bandits encampment and barricade as she passed and stayed up high enough that her figure would be nothing but a spec in the sky.
~It looks like they're stopping any merchants from reaching the town at all... probably stealing all of their equipment too... I should go down there... right? Right... Okay...~ She took in a deep breath before quickly descending from the sky, landing smack in the middle of the bandits camp, nearly landing on the small fire set up to cook the food that was no doubt stolen.
The bandits sitting around the campfire immediately stood to their feet, picking up their various weapons as they did so and pointing it at the armor clad girl. They barely gave her the chance to speak before attacking the intruder. One of the bandits fired their gun at the young girl, the bullet clanging loudly against the armor and nesting there. A second bandit lunged at her with a sword, though his attempt fell short as well as Scion took a step back, bringing one arm up to glide alongside the blade in a graceful motion. Her free hand would grip the bandits wrist, while her leg swept his out from underneath him. She would throw him down onto the ground hard, then step away from him to dig the bullet out of her chest plate.
~That was rude... I was hoping we could talk this out and reach- ~ Interrupted again, this time by a bandit's loud laughter as he too pointed a gun at her. ~Looks like those villagers finally suckered someone into actually trying to help them! This is hilarious... a little girl... and they even put you in some cutesy cosplay? What do they think this is! We'll show you to under-estimate us!~ He shouted, before repeatedly firing at Scion.
She found herself surprised by his hostility, but reacted none the less! Scion flew up into the sky to avoid the immediate thread the bullets presented, then swung her arm out in front of her, making it look like she was karate chopping the air. However, her ki began to form around her hand and was sent out as a blade towards the gunman.
The bladed ki would cut into the man's gun, removing the barrel and the threat is possessed. Her retaliation only served to infuriate the other bandits however, and a few of them even took to the skies after her!
~'Oh... I didn't think they were going to be strong at all...'~ She thought to herself with a mix of excitement and panic. With that thought, the bandits would approach her at a high aerial speed, engaging her in hand to hand combat, as well as swinging at her with a sword, and a sharp shooter aiming at her from below.
Wasn't this a sight? It would seem that Earth was not entirely different from Otherworld in some respects. Their were still troublemakers, people wanting nothing more than to hurt others. These bandits... for a time she had watched the knights progress, having no intention of interfering at that moment. However though she held her own at first it was not long before they began to overun her one by one. The girl was having a rough time of it... that much was clear. Their were a precious few like this knight, willing to face rough odds to do what was right. This kind of person she was convinced was the type Rumia wanted to thrive. It was certainly one she wanted to. Sora would roll her shoulders briefly in preperation. A knight fought with honor, as far as she knew, noble duels and allowing that. This was not one of those noble duels though it was simply... a one sided brawl. Sora was about to even this playing field. After all... honorable warriors needed to stick together after all! Freaking into the opening she eyed the thug still on terror ground, it's gun aimed at Scion above. He was the most detestable of the lot, not even facing the girl on even ground! Sora would slam would foot into the ground alarming the man to her precense as he turned to face her with a startled expression on her face.
"Face me head on you detestable filth!"
Though the man pointed his gun at it Her it was not said enough to stop the Oni's attack. The man received a quick and heavy blow to his gut, a painful gasp escaping his as he fell limp in her arms. Afterwards she would pick up the fallen thug and throw her right up at the ones that had taken flight in an attempt to knock a few out of the knights way.
"Hey knight! Watch it!"
This matter was simple, just like disciplining hellians in Otherworld.
Chris had grown rather used to this power, the power of this strange new ki he was in control of. It had been rather strange when he had first tested it's strength but now he actually felt at peace with it. No, not at peace, rather in tune instead. He felt the ki flowing through his entire body, he almost felt like he was made entirely of it. That was how powerful he felt now, still he had his control. He enjoyed the feeling of being less saiyan than before even. Now he could go back on his journey and look for his sister.
Currently he was in what he called his super form. He still lacked a name for what he truly could call it but that was besides the point. As he flew through the sky he spotted seemingly a group of people. They were attacking a single older girl as well as one of his friends, Sora. Although it seemed like they had it handled. Chris couldn't help but think of the possibility of how Sora might act. Especially considering how different his own ki felt now. If he couldn't recognize himself even he was more than interested of seeing what was about to happen here.
Chris began to watch from afar as he brought a single hand down to his left side, bringing his right right upon just above his hand, he closed the hand of his left arm into a fist, beginning to focus ki into the single hand, at double the rate due to his right arm flowing ki into his left side as well. His left fist began to glow with a white glow with an outer blackened glow. Ki electricity beginning to fly uncontrollably off of it. All the while Chris held a stern unmoving face as his entire concentration was placed into this attack.
It was finally ready to be released. Making his voice a little gruffer sounding to hopefully confuse Sora into not knowing who this was. White Lightning Flash, Final Electrical Shocking Magnetic Thrilling Dynamic Voltiac Fury Formidable Deadly Heart Breaking Threateningly Malicious Dark And Light Empowered Combo! Chris would say the very very long name of the technique very very fast as he began to move. His movement going at very fast speeds seemingly making himself invisible to eye sight however luckily ki sense still allowed one to pinpoint him. As he struck the first bandit in the stomach along with five others with his intense speed it looked as if a single white lightning bolt with a black outer edge flashed for a moment between all of them in a mere instant, making a single long lengthwise lightning bolt. Still there was seemingly no noise. Chris stopped right as such was done, once releasing his fist he showed the end of his technique. A very loud thunder like noise as a lighting bolt shot from each of the bandits upwards from the large amount of electricity Chris had used. All at once, the five that were hit, fell to the ground with a boom that was nothing compared the sound of the lightning attack.
The white hood, and fallen golden hair easily hiding his eyes from view, he began to watch around wondering how many more there could be. However his direction stared right towards Sora, most likely the other would not recognized this changed Chris. Especially with this mysterious feeling ki radiating from him. However he did begin to summon his two dual blade staffs as he awaited for any bandit to even try to approach him.

Scion managed to drive her fist into one of the bandits chest, knocking the wind from his lungs and allowing her to close the distance between then and grab his right arm. She would bring his arm over her shoulder, then with great force throw him over her and back down towards the ground, crying out with the sheer amount of strength she had to use for that maneuver. That was when she noticed another girl jump into the fray, causing Scion to tense up as she saw her soar by. She was relieved to see however, that the girl was actually there to help, heading straight down for the bandit who had been trying to fire his gun at her from the ground.
While thankful for the help, she couldn't help but blush and feel embarrassed that someone felt she needed to be rescued... which honestly, she did. If this fight went on too long then no doubt they would wear her out and over power her. ~Thank you miss... woah!~ With just a quick warning and a flying body, Scion had just enough time to get out of the way of Sora's throw. She watched as the two bandits collided and crashed back onto the hard ground underneath them.
She finally managed to get a moment to take in a deep breath, turning around to face the other bandits that were still on the ground. It was strange though, there was this odd white light that seemed to suddenly appear in a sort of bolt pattern... then all of a sudden lightning erupted and with a loud boom, a handful of the bandits were struck and fell.
Scion couldn't help but stare at the whole scenario with her mouth slightly agape. What had just happened? Who was this blonde haired boy that had helped her? Was he with the first lady that helped her with the bandits? Were they actually good? Well they had to be if they helped her take care of this right?
It certainly seemed like the bandits thought that they weren't on their side, because any of those that remained left their fellows behind and began to run away, taking as many cars and carts away as they could in their panicked flurry. ~ ... well I suppose that worked out...~ the knight would murmur as she descended onto the ground once more, rubbing the side of her face that had already started to bruise from one of the bandits punches.
She landed next to Sora as she was the closest, and once she was sure the coast was clear, bowed her upper half to her politely. ~ Thank you so much for helping me miss. I'm sorry if my distress caused you any trouble. My name is Onzoshi, but the Knights call me Scion.~
Sora's response was swift and decisive. It was good that the youngling knew how to show appreciation of course, but it had no place in the heat of battle. He could thank her once the cuers were dealt with. For now the troublemakers would face a more even fight and receive their punishment-a good old fashion beat down. Sora was rather impressed with the knights speed. Her power level well... it was quite a bit lower than Sora's own. Even through warning that was quite the impressive reaction speed she had to admit. The bandits themselves crashed into each other and ended up forming a messy pile on the ground, a situation the oni could not help but smirk at.
More bandits were stuck down in what amounted to a flash and crackle of light. Sora gazed for a moment and the figure that appeared. The energy coming from him.... for a brief moment she mistook its light for a kai's. Howver upon further sensing it was simply... different, with a certain purity to it. She also noticed a level of familiarity with it, a power she felt when she first arrived on this planet. At that time he was growing steadily weaker... and truly she held somewhat of a worry for his well being. Yet of the slight tinge was anything to go bye....
"Chris....?"
She would comment simply to the hooded figure. She wanted to confirm that this warriors was in fact who she thought him to be, the only way was to ask. She could not help but give a rather hearty laugh when the remaining bandits began to flee. It seemed in even this capacity they held no honor. They were cowards the lot of them. They were not even worth the effort it would take to track them down.
Afterwards the lightly bruised knight would decend to the ground beside her, bowing her head in greeting as she introduced herself. Now that was something she was not used to. As a warrior and oni in service to the kai's she usually was the one to do the bowing, not the other way around! Sora would return her bow with one of her own and began her own greeting, or at least what she was allowed to tell a total stranger. Only Atsuko and her allies were allowed to known her full identity currently, she did not intend to betray Rumia's trust by speaking out of turn.
"I am Soragami, but you can simply call me Sora, are you unharmed? I must admit.... that was quite the display you put on, well deserved of a knight"
As she finished her greeting she would turn slightly to look at the hooded figure near them, his aura still holding that glint of familiarity. Was he who she thought?
This fight although having ended rather shortly. Chris had been more than happy to have his ki back as well as his attack having been pulled successfully. Though maybe he needed to lighten up with the heat of it however. He had noticed that his hand had felt rather hot after he had finished. If he had used a bit more heat there could have been a chance of burning his own hand off. He would have to remember not to raise the power of the attack any further. A small thing to remember of course but still it would be quite important of which not to forget.
Still he couldn’t help but smile a bit as the rest of the bandits began to run. He really hated lowlives like that. Ever since that first night he could never forgive them for the pain they had caused him. Still that time has passed and he was going to need to focus on the future. He still had a hell of a lot of things that still had to be done. So much he had wanted to do and now he was stuck without a way. He had wanted to find his sister, however now the demons have her which was probably the best news he had gotten...not. Than there was this stupid alliance thing going on. He appreciated his cousin for bringing him back to his master but still he despised how they wouldn’t let this alliance thing go. It was a menace of an alliance with how often they seemed to be the ones attacking others.
However someone saying his name quickly brought him out of this daze. Turning right towards his friend and the other girl who had been stuck in this fight. He listened as she introduced herself as a knight and Sora introducing themself to the lady knight. This was his own moment to speak. “My name is Chris as my friend Sora guessed, heh, I am a member of the Earth Special Forces or rather a member of the knights of the round. If you're a knight as well I would recommend meeting a friend of mine named Atsuko, she was my mentor. I can say however that your fighting style was quite impressive however, it lacked a certain precision to it. If you could learn to control it better I believe you could deal quite a more effective attack.” Chris would begin to inform as his smile still was held in it’s warm gaze.
The woman, Sora seemed to be holding something back... though it wasn't her place to press the issue. It really didn't matter what it was, it was Sora's own business. She found herself surprised with how polite she was being with her, not that Scion had ever been mistreated (to her knowledge) but she had been quite scared that the outside world would be full of people like those bandits, not so much people like her.
~Thank you so much miss Soragami. Oh, no I haven't been hurt... at least it's not anything I can't handle~ She said again as she straightened out, gazing at the boy who had come into the battle like a lightning bolt. It seemed he had heard their introductions, which was good as that meant she wouldn't have to do this all again. What more, it seemed that Chris and Sora were already friends! Had they come together? How did they know that she was in danger? It didn't matter she supposed, she was truly grateful for their help.
~Thank you as well mr Chris. That's quite an impressive title! Though I'm afraid I don't know of the Knights of the round?~ Her voice was gentle as she spoke to him, listening to him speak of a girl names Atsuko, who happened to be this boy's mentor. It couldn't be the same Atsuko could it? Surely the girl she knew back then wasn't the only Atsuko around. ~ I am a Knight, yes. At least a Knight in training. You see... today was my first day out of the monastery. I had taken on a job to remove those bandits from the area but... well you see how that went. It seem's I am in need of more training still. I'm afraid I feel as if the monastery has given me all that it can however. I would love to meet this friend Atsuko of yours... tell me, is she a Knight as well?~ She would ask curiously, still trying to find out if it was indeed the same girl she knew.
She was also quite interested in learning how to control her attacks better than she currently could... no doubt they would do her some good, and the idea of training always excited her!
So her theory was correct... that was in fact Chris. So he had recovered? No... it was more than that. She recognised Chris' energy, but it also felt a lot different. If she had to compare t to something it felt... like the denizens of Otherworld. But that... that wasn't logical was it? Chris had been born here in the living realm, it hadn't felt this way she first met him ether. So why? Why did his ki feel this way? She would have to be sure and look into this matter!
That being said she was relived that he was ok. Chris was one of the factors that protected this planet, as well as an important piece in in facing the chaos enveloping the worlds order. In order fix and reestablish the balance that was slowly ebing away... he was one of 're factors Rumia thought useful. Sora hadn't agreed at first but seeing him now, with the odd energy he radiated... it was hard to deny her master's thoughts.
"Chris... you have recovered? That energy... it's not what master showed me or what I felt on the lookout... could you explain?"
Sora would then turn back to face Scion as her question was a answered. A light grin crossed her face and she placed a hand on the knights shoulder in greeting. She wasn't a factor, nor was Scion overly strong, even in comparison to her. But she was also far from weak to. She seemed to be strong in a different way, it wasn't all about power after all. This girl called Scion... Sora believed she would grow to become quite the knight in time.
"Good, your rather young but... your quite the knight already. It was quite brave of you to face all of those thugs by yourself. However allow me a question, call it... testing your tactical mind I suppose. Do you believe you could have defeated them all, in the end?"
Sora was not making fun of or questioning the girls strength, No she was simply curious how the knight's mind worked in battle. If they remained together for a while she would need to know after all, perhaps even help develop it. She would quietly observe as Chris and Scion conversed, choosing not to interrupt them. Chris could answer better than her the questions about Mrs Inoue, as apart from the bit of time they had spent together and in each other's bodies Sora was not yet an expert on the kami. She would leave the explanations to Chris, she could give a far more friendly version than the version Sora would likely give anyway.
Chris could only smile at the friendly conversation they all were having with each other. He really did enjoy these types of conversations as he was rather a friendly guy. He liked being able to talk with others. It was peaceful and considering everything else, he enjoyed peaceful quite a bit right now. However the questions quickly changed to a very different topic, it was rather fast as well so he had to explain his other answers as well first! She was asking if his mentor was a knight. Was it possible this girl knew his master? Maybe he could help her out then after all.
”Yeah she’s a knight alright, she was the first of the knights of the round, Her and Excalibur. If you want I can take you to see them later if you want that is. I’m sure she would even be glad to help you train if you wanted her to. Heck if you wanted I could probably help you out as well if you want for training. Either way I’m positive she will love to meet you.” Chris would say with a smile clearly of good will. He really was just a friendly guy who wanted to help out here.
Turning towards Sora however it seemed he had a lot to explain, which was fair to say the least. He had been looking like a dead man when he had last seen them. ”Well, it’s a bit of long story, you see I had been suffering from a rare heart virus, it was practically draining my ki. We managed to cure it..but we were almost too late, no we were too late. I recovered nearly fully from it, but my heart, it had suffered something very damaging, my connection to my ki had been cut off and I couldn’t control it any longer. I had been scouring through the Kami’s books to try and find something to help me, eventually I found this runic book, when I opened it..that was it I passed out, I woke up and the book was to ash and I could feel ki once more, it was like something my body had been fixed. It even feels like my saiyan side died down a bit as well, these newer transformations, as you could tell wasn’t like super saiyan. My hair wasn’t spiky any longer in that form and was actually laid down. Watch.” Chris would say as he would begin to lower his energy and drop back to base form. (Profile Pic) The white and blackened clothing disappearing to reveal his blue gi. His black eyes visible once more along with his hair becoming black and spiky. ” It really is a very long story.”
Judging by the expression on ms Soragami's tone, it seemed the boy, Chris had recently been sick? Well they could have fooled her as the boy seemed full of strength and vigor at the moment. She was glad to see that he was alright now though if he had been ill not so long ago. Her thoughts were pulled away from Chris however as Soragami asked her about her plans to defeat the bandits and if she truly thought she could do it. A nervous laugh would escape Scion's lips before speaking up.
~Well, I really wasn't expecting them to be able to fly... or have any real martial arts training like that. I don't know if I could have beat them alone really... but I wouldn't have changed how I approached them! Those villagers needed me to be able to beat them, so I would have found a way.~ Sure it probably wasn't the answer Soragami was looking for, but Scion was sincere. She would have given it her all to complete her job and protect those that couldn't protect themselves, no matter the cost to her.
Finally, she would turn to face Chris who went on talking about this Knight Atsuko, and Scion couldn't help but continue smiling at the thought. If this was indeed the same girl, then it was bound to be an interesting reunion! ~I would like to meet her yes, thank you! I knew a girl back at the monastery named Atsuko once, it would be nice if it turned out to be her. Although I'm sure Atsuko is a common enough name... I would appreciate you showing me to her.~ She said with a polite bow towards Chris, smiling at his offer of training. While the idea was a good one, she wasn't sure she wanted too... honestly she much preferred to do things her own way, she always had... even the Monastery had trouble teaching her their ways as she was just too stubborn to change.
