Exaccus felt he had come quite far in the last few days of rigorous training and intensive hunting, whilst he had not yet come across a being worthy of overcoming and absorbing he still felt some deep and intrinsic pang to consume to sustain his existence, so far he'd been sating it on the various predatory animals that roamed the countryside, namely bears, boars and the occasional dinosaur that wandered in, it seemed the hardier the creature the greater the satisfaction that his absorption of its life energies gave him, it was to be honest a little bit unsettling and sickening to think about but then, given his great intellect and sophistication his creator had no doubt thought of some way to force him to obey his commands.
Right now however he was taking a break in the quiet of the mountains, meditating beneath the crashing curtain of a raging waterfall as it flowed down from the mountains and into the valley below, judging by the lights he'd observed in the previous evening it seemed to be home to a small and self contained livestock raising community spending its days in idleness and peace, ignorant to the machinations of the villainous organization that had made him and had its eyes set on enslaving the world beneath his iron clad will of he found this both infuriating and relieving in equal measure, for whilst he was annoyed with the ignorance he was pleased that such unpleasantness had not yet spread to their somewhat isolated corner of the world just yet and even in the shadow of the looming threat they'd managed to find some peace in their day to day lives.
truely he was a being based on contradictions, though if one were to ask his father and creator Doctor Shiasi he had no doubt that he would simply answer that it was proof of how complex the technology was to produce such a complicated being.
but the time for idle thoughts and introspection was now passed, as the last of the sleepy communities residential lights flickered off and the inhabitants slowly drifted away to sleep beneath the starry sky it was time for Exaccus to train himself, for whilst his power was great the foes arrayed against him were stronger still and threatens not only his personal safety and freedom but the world entire and its over all well-being.
Donning his newly squired weights and securing them to his limbs proved a difficult task but patience and perseverance triumphed over awkward straps and fastenings and soon he was ready to hone the katas he'd developed over his short but combat ridden life so far, focusing primarily on offensive tactics in favour of overwhelming and overpowering singular opponents whilst his wings and armour protected him from the glancing blows of other enemies, reducing the number of active combatants before their numbers could overwhelm and subdue him.
So far it had been enough for him to survive on but soon he knew it would simply not be enough, he would need to train to prepare to face multiple enemies and be ready and able to switch between them on the fly, to keep them at bay, like a gardener cutting back weeds, for he had no doubt soon far mightier opponents would emerge whom such a simple tactic as that would fail against without so much as a eyelid batted.
weaving between the phantom opponents heavy and precise blows he opted to jump away and swing towards the waterfalls curtain in-between blocks and strikes against his primary target, the force of his blows more than sufficient to part the falling waters with explosive displacement as he made a secondary target to split his efforts between untill he felt his actions fall into the fluid but mechanical grace of instinct and his switching between targets become and easy to him as a fish's swimming or a saiyans urge to fight.
satisfied that he could now handle switching targets on instinctual and opportunistic impulse he opted now to focus on delivering the heaviest hits he could without compromising the speed of his blows, the hodgepodge training routine now moving on,relying on his own analytic sensors, his imaginary opponent became once more the sole focus of his attention, using his forearms to block the clumsy but heavy blows of the shadowy foe he carefully analyzed the pattern and finding a opening in between the blows and the resting stance seized upon the opportunity presented to him, striking as hard and as fast as he could without compromising one for the other he found he could deliver close to 5 strikes in a second without the pressure readings from his blows lowering beneath their standard levels, though this was satisfactory the readings on the pressure scale could use work so practising throwing his hip and entire upperbody in behind his blows he worked to increase the reading without lowering the speed of his blows in blinding and brutal transitions of left to right and right to left he found he could hit a staggering 12% harder than by remaining in a neutral shoulder to shoulder stance, continuing to push himself like this for just under an houir paying not attention to the groans from his over-worked body until it began to ache and burn with fatigue as he continued to hammer away at the thin air.
Happy that he'd made such a drastic improvement to his combat style and feeling the hunger for bio-energies sweeping over him he opted to turn his training into an impromptu hunt for life force to absorb.
Next he would need not only a live opponent but a meal to satiate his ever panging hunger and need for fuel to power his bio-mechanical body and replenish its energies expended from his training and dealing with the weights burdening his entire form so jury rigging himself a belt of mismatched mechanical parts that would clang together in the wind he set his trap.
It really didn't take long at all before, curious about the ringing sound of the belt of scrao that his makeshift dummy wore around its arms as they moved in repetitive motions driven by the wind for, a massive, monstrous boar emerged from the under brush, beady eyes red with rage at the thing imposing on its recently claimed territory and its dirty, thickly bristled hide riddled with tatts and minor scars from battles with rival males and hunters a like told its tale.
waiting untill the boar had drawn just close enough to the dummy for his tactics to take effect, Exaccus wasted not a single moment of time when it drew close enough to sniff at the training dummy with its thick grunting snout, flinging himself with all his might towards the boars exposed flank he impacts the porcine creature directly in the side, feeling a few of its ribs breaking against his head chitin and toppling the squealing monstrosity in an instant, he wastes no time in pressing his advantage, leaping upon the prone and flailing form of the feral pig and driving his stinger hilt deep into the creatures neck, severing its jugular with the razor sharp point and killing his prey almost instantly and painlessly in his mercy before beginning to drain it of its life essence, slowly but surely his tail drawing out more and more of the body into himself to be made into fuel for his continued function and ever increasing strength.
that the boars death was not in vain but to give rise to all of this growth and evolution of his granted him some measure of peace as he watched it shrivel away to nothingness as it disappeared up his tail with a sickening gulping sound.
he would never ever quiet get used to that he thought to himself as lazy from exertion and sleepy from fullness he climbed into the low boughs of a nearby tree to fall into his deep and dreamless sleep to gather his strength for whatever trials the world would no doubt pit him in as it did every other living creature to discover who deserved to thrive and who deserved to fuel who's existence.
