Piyano
Name: Piyano
Age: 32
Gender: N/A (Nemakian)
Race: Nemakian (Dragon Clan)
Homeworld: Namek
Starting Planet: Earth
Appearance:
Piyano bares the same features shared by all people of his race. Green skin with prominent patches of pink, large pointed ears and twin sloping antenna growing from his forehead. Unlike most of his species Piyano is taller and more muscular than the standard Namekian, standing nearly a full foot in height above his brethren and several inches broader at each shoulder. Gifted with strong features Piyano possesses a square jaw, a sharp nose, and stunning red eyes. Despite his warriors build however Piyano's face is often seen smiling and his gaze is the hopeful gaze of a man who seeks peace and posterity among all he turns his eyes upon. A gentle soul at heart Piyano always seems relaxed, as it is rarely ever his wish to seek out battle.
Due to the resilient nature of Nemakian skin when it comes to extreme weather, as well as planet Nemak's naturally mild climates Piyano normally wears very little in the way of clothing. Often seen in the common footwear of most Namekian's, a soft and supple tan hide from a cow-like animal native to his home world. Piyano wears a home spun set of white cotton trousers held around his waist by a blue wrapping, the pants are loose fitting and slightly baggy towards his ankles. Allowing for free movement of his lower body as well as being comfortably breathable. The same material is used to make a scarf-like blanket wore around Piyano's neck, this scarf is mostly symbolic in design and signify which tribe Piyano was born into. The only other clothes Piyano is known to possess is a deeply blue colored long coat. Piyano's coat is sleeveless past the shoulder as to not restrict his arm movements, while the base of his coat rests just below his knees.
Backstory:
Hatched in the year of 1554 upon the planet Namek, Piyano spends the early years of his life as a farmer. Born unto the tribe of Yusicians a subservient group which performed everyday tasks for Dragon Clan Namekian's in service to the planets Elder guru, Piyano is raised alongside some of the most spiritual and learned of his race. The first ten years of his childhood existence Piyano tilled fields, fetched water, and ran messages for Guru's subjects. During his free hours Piyano learned of the universe from stories and tales told by his elders, he learned to scribe and read written words to further his education, and sought communion with nature. At the guidance of his elders Piyano was instilled with reverence for both his planet, and his people.
Upon his eleventh year of life Piyano was presented the opportunity to be trained by one of his elders. Exhilarated at the possibilities Piyano undertook the trial of admittance into the clergy of Guru's hand. Along with six other children Piyano was tasked with a simple chore; he must move a stone without using his hands or any tool his hands command. Given a week to accomplish his task Piyano set to work meditating, he had seen members of Guru's clergy levitate items with their minds before and the child set out happily to succeed in his task. Six days passed without any success for Piyano, tired and frustrated the child was resigned to give up on his dreams. During his trial a elder stood watch over the boy to ensure he did not cheat and Piyano went to his elder. "I can not move the stone Honorable one. I do not know how the elders possess such powers." Piyano said calmly, if sadly. The elder only offered the boy a smile however and a single piece of wisdom. "Child, few people find power on their own. A Nemakian's strength comes from the aid of others." Piyano nodded in understanding at the words, he nearly turned away in surrender until a thought floated through his mind. "Honorable one... May I ask you to move the stone? So that I may learn? The elder scratched at his chin momentarily from Piayno's question, than slowly lifted the nearby stone with his mind and floated the object into Piyano's waiting palm. "You my child have passed the first test. Welcome to the Dragon Clan."
The next ten years of Piyano's life was easily the most exciting. No longer a fetcher of water or planter of seeds, Piyano traveled across the planet to learn from several masters and elders of his clan. Everything from energy or KI manipulation, to martial arts, to mystical studies and even spiritual enlightenment was trained and instilled into the young Namekian. Piyano enjoyed every moment of this period in his life, whether he trained alone or in groups, as he felt every advancement, every step he took brought him closer to his people, to his home. Piyano excelled in his studies, absorbing information and knowledge well beyond the ability of his peers. Most average students would train well into their thirties, but at the age of twenty five Piyano was selected to undertake the first of his two graduating trials.
Sent into the very heart of the Dark Forest, a secluded woodland deep in the southern continents of planet Nemak, Piyano lived for two years in silence. The Dark Forest was a mystical land upon Namek were it was rumored that the forest spoke directly to a persons mind, offering power and strength at the price of madness and murder. It was a common test by the Dragon Clan to seclude young acolytes in the forest, to test their strength of resolve. If Piyano could resist the calling to power, could resist the urge to speak, and return in two years time unchanged by the darkness of his own heart, than Piyano would be ready for the next step. Over his two year trial Piyano at first resisted the urge to train, believing seeking any advance in power would quicken the demons of his heart. Several times the man faced horrid dreams, or felt he had heard voices promising him power. Piyano learned to seek strength inwards, turning towards his teachings of meditation to overcome the falsehoods and lies of the forest. Finally after two agonizing years Piyano returned home, his heart undarkened to the delight of his elders.
By Dragon Clan law Piyano was not allowed to begin his second trial for several more years. After six months of training alongside his peers the youth again found himself sent away. This time Piyano was sent upon a pilgrimage across his planet, tasked with visiting every holy site and village he could find. Most would find themselves distraught over the planned journey, however Piyano was pleased to be given such a task, truly pleased for this trip he was encouraged to interact with his people once more. Given no time frame for his journey Piyano walked across the surface of his planet, at villages he often traded work or stories for lodging. Often helping farmers plant crop, build homes and other such tasks. Upon reaching shrines and holy sites of his people Piyano often prayed for weeks at a time, cleaned the grounds, and trained himself in the greatest lands of his people. Piyano's pilgrimage lasted for ten years, a long time, but not so long for a race that could live into their fourth century. After returning to his home once more the man regaled his elders with stories of his quest, delighted to find his words met with smiling, nodding faces.
Finally after twenty years Piyano was ready to undertake his final trial. The Battle of Guardians, war was not the way of the dragon clan, but it had long ago been learned by the Namekian people that battle comes to even the most peaceful race and that great evil would always be drawn to Namek due to the races unique ability to produce Dragon Balls. In this trial Piyano was pitted against three other guardians, three other members of his clan in combat. The battle was long fought and both sides fought with honor enough to bring great pride unto the Dragon Clan. In the end however Piyano pulled out a surprise victory. Pleased to finally be considered a full member of Guru's Clergy Piyano spent six monthes in blissful peace alongside his people before being given a new mission. A pilgrimage to the planet Earth.

A soft summer breeze rustled the grass beneath the feet of the four warriors as each man dropped into stance. Catching the gentle wind Piyano's blue coat whipped along his thighs as the Nemakian extended out his right leg in preparation of what was to come. Left hand open and stretched out before him Piyano forced himself to block out the beautiful distractions of nature, honing his focus until the wind was suddenly gone. No longer feeling a breeze upon his flesh Piyano next removed the green-blue sky from overhead, its three suns and soft clouds became but a memory to him in that moment in time.
Before him Piyano's three combatants did much the same as he. Their battle stances born only minor deviations from his own, a finger out of place, leading with the left foot instead of the right. Each Namekian's stance hinted at how they would attack him, and each of them studied him just as thoroughly as he studied them. The trial of guardians was designed to instill fear into those who undertook it. The lesson being taught was that Piyano, a warrior of equal strength to the three men before him, was entering a fight designed for him to lose. "Enough, forget the trial and focus on the task at hand... remove the earth next." Piyano thought harshly to himself knowing he would only have moments before the first attack came at him.
Renewing his focus the blue grass beneath his feet slowly began to fade away, Piyano stood as if in a black void. Empty and endless containing nothing but himself and his temporary enemies. As if sensing the completion of his preparations the first of the three warriors charged him suddenly. To simplify the combat within his mind Piyano quickly dubbed this foe as 'Red Scarf' do to the mans choice in clothes. Red Scarf charged in with a swift frontal stab, the claws of his fingers leading a forceful strike to Piyano's heart. With a slight rotating of his torso Piyano angled his chest to avoid the stab, feeling the slight tug on his clothes as Red Scarf's hand brushed against his long coat. Lifting up his right arm and suddenly snapping down Piyano trapped his enemies arm between his elbow and his rib cage, effective sealing Red Scarf in place before him. A slight grin came to Piyano's face at his success, which was wiped away when Red Scarf struck him hard in the stomach with his other hand. Grimacing through the pain in his side Piyano suddenly saw the advance of his second enemy over Red Scarf's shoulder. The man dressed in dark black pants was charging in and in Piyano's current stance he would have no defense against the mans assault.
Red Scarf struck too Piyano's stomach again, but the larger Nemakian steeled himself against the pain and spun himself as hard to the right as he could. Clutching Red Scarf around the throat with his left hand Piyano used all his strength to lift, spin, and throw his first opponent through the air. Taken completely by surprise from the unexpected technique Red Scarf offered almost no resistance to the cunning throw and was sent soaring through the air to crash head first into Black Pants. The two men tumbled hard to the earth, beyond that image however Piyano was left with no time to observe his attacks effects as his third foe choose that moment to assail him. The only Nemakian of the three Piyano knew by name struck him hard across the jaw with a snapping jab of his right arm. Jlug the man was called and he was known throughout the clergy as a magnificent fighter. Jlug followed his assault with a secondary jab, Piyano easily deflected the attack above his head only to feel a sharp pain in his knee. Jlug had launched two attacks at once, his second strike a swift kick to the side of Piyano's weight supporting leg.
Jlug Continued to launch dual strikes at Piyano, sometimes the blue vested Namekian managed to deflect both strikes, but more often than not Piyano was tapped hard to either the face or the legs. Knowing he could not continue to take more strikes like he was Piyano attempted a desperate gamble, switching from his defensive fighting to offensive strikes even as Jlug had already launched his next string of attacks. Jlug struck him hard in the shoulder, but Piyano stepped over a low kick to his ankle and stomped down hard on his foe's kneecap. A scream of pain escaped Jlug's lips as his leg folded under the powerful stomp. The wail of pain lasted until Piyano swung his face foreward with all his might into Jlug's forehead. A great 'CLACK' sounded through the area as Jlug dropped to the ground unconscious.
Purple blood dripping from his mouth and left eye Piyano looked from the defeated Jlug to his other opponents. Red and Black were back on their feet, both looking hesitant to attack due to Jlug's knock out. The pairs delay bought Piyano all the time he needed to centralize his bodies flow of KI into his palm. Standing straight and tall Piyano shot his brother Nemakian's a cold glare as he calmly extended forth his hand. No visible blast of force overtook his foes, but within seconds the energy struck blasting both Red and Black off their feet. Black went unconscious from the invisible strike, Red Scarf lay face up in the grass momentarily before he voiced his surrender. Exhausted and injured himself from the trial Piyano fell back into the grass himself as he allowed his body to relax. Slowly the earth, the sky, and even the wind returned to his senses as Piyano laid his back comfortably to the earth, basking in the light of his victory.
