This place of cold was the last place she would ever want to be. But coming here was a necessity. Out of the three groups of species she had wanted to study, and also enslave, only two were actually useful servants. The last was a failure, and an embarrassment. Images of the Nekomajin she had found in West City, returning to its life as a housecat, came to her mind.
Such wasted potential. But it was foolish to even believe there was a chance of training it in the first place. That species was too childish. Still, even though it's been while since she had taken it home, they were memories that remained upsetting.
She didn't like to waste time, and decisions that she made, were ones that she took pride into leading somewhere beneficial. The trip here to North City, was exactly that. Another chance to find a different species of interest, and a trip that was suggested by the latest addition to those who were living with her, a Saiyan female who went by the name of Maiz. An interesting sort already.
According to the younger girl by two years, there had to have been someone strong around here, as colder climates would suggest. The reasoning was there, even though it was that of someone barbaric, to think about it being an opportune place to fight.
Though that was something she was beginning to learn about her two roommates. While she saw their species as something to use, and that she reasonably saw her own as the superior species, she couldn't deny that these two showed qualities she hadn't expected.
A lot of history that she had yet to hear too, but that would come later. They were supposed to be servants after all. Couldn't show them too much kindness. And their arrival here up north in the cold, did show itself to be a rather promising one.
The latter and most recent servant of hers, had pointed out and recognized that a certain green individual, was someone special. A Namekian, as she had put it. She had already found him to be an interesting sight, in a place like this, and from what she had been seen and told by her roommate, it did sounded like there was potential there to try and enslave the man. Given the time, anyway.
But she learned from her meeting with her other pink-fleshed roommate, Sayako, that easing into it would be better. So inviting him into the mansion, and offering warmth of her facilities, was what should do exactly that. If he was smart, he would surely find it suspicious, but would you really pass up an opportunity for warmth? Not to mention she did have two peculiar servants with her.
She was in her mansion right now, giving a tour, while her servants occupied the place at their own leisure. Of course it had to have been up to her to give this tour. Maiz would have likely just shown the man the kitchen, and Sayako, her real plan.
The place itself was as lovely as she had dreamed it would be, with plenty of room and furnishings. And for the price that she had paid for it, she expected this kind of quality. Only a fool wouldn't have scoped the place out before deciding to buy it.
But while she did enjoy the finer things like a bathroom with a hot tub, her most prized possession had to be the gravity machine, which she had installed in one of the spacious rooms that came with the mansion. The price was way more than the mansion.
It might be surprising to some people, but for her, it wasn't. A machine like this, in the wrong hands, could give plenty of use in improving oneself. She had led the Namekian here, and walked up to the machine, wasting no time in dialing it to something she was able to handle. 10 times Earth's gravity, should be enough, and while low, it was far from being something embarrassing.
The weight that it placed onto the room could be felt immediately as it activated. Nothing backbreaking, but there was that feeling of heaviness. It would certainly get draining over time, but this was the price that had to be paid for gaining strength.
"We'll start off with a few basic punches and kicks at each other, but none of that ki stuff yet. As a lady and master of this mansion, it's only fair we do things my way first. In exchange for this hospitality, I would like to know more about your people's history. From what Sayako had said earlier, you guys can grant wishes? And let's throw that morality talk away.
I've thankfully, have yet to meet a race that rather believes in ignorance, than knowledge. I already know that if it was that easy to get wishes, the world would be on constant fire or something. But don't mistake me as being unreasonable."
She had yet to tell him she was a Vampire herself, and only introduced Maiz, who was clearly a Saiyan with her tail, along with Sayako as a Majin. Revealing that kind of info, was a trump card for her, when it came to gaining information from someone else.
Something she had experience with people like everyone here in this mansion, asking, since it was strange for an average human to be living with groups like this. In a place that was of her own home, she had no need to suppress her power level either.
Like how she didn't waste time with turning the gravity machine on, she had also not wasted time into starting the punches and kicks she had mentioned, which if the Namekian was smart, would notice it wasn't really aimed at anything in particular.
The purpose was mostly to get him to jump back, though she would encourage him to try and hit her too, but would be prepared to dodge. While she wouldn't know for sure how strong he really was, she wasn't planning on doing any real damage to him.
"Surely we can talk and fight at the same time. I won't be making any real punches, since you're a guest, and not one of my servants, so don't be afraid to fight back. I might still be in school, but I can take a couple punches."
She wasn't trying to hide that either.

The frigid winter of North City did not affect Piyano like it did the traditional Earthling. For several weeks Piyano had lived as a simple traveler among the denizens of Earth, most of the inhabitants he had encountered dubbed him something known as 'homeless' others often asked if he was some manner of refugee. At least Piyano understood the meaning of the second word. When faced with these individuals Piyano simply told them the truth. He was on Earth to learn and the odd environment of the North was comforting to him, snow provided Piyano with a excess supply of frozen water and the cold wasn't nearly severe enough to bother his alien body.
Over the weeks Piyano had learned much of Earth. Humans were the planets primary populace, and the majority of them were a materialistic lot, each out to acquire money, fame, or means. The human drive in common life was vastly different from that of a Namekian, but Piyano also saw greatness in the species. Several humans of the city went out of their way to speak and interact with the strange Namekian who simply appeared in their city one day. Others had offered Piyano clothes or food, gestures of kindness that would be common place on his home world. Yet even those who gave Piyano hope could not hide the worst of human nature. On three occasions in just a few weeks Piyano had assisted local authorities in breaking up fights, stopping robbers and muggers. It seemed as though every shining light Piyano found on Earth came accompanied by a dark shadow, forever showcasing the duality of Earth's population.
One particularly cold evening Piyano was spending his time meditating by the cities central fountain. Internal heaters kept the water warm even in the deepest freeze of winter, and even though Piyano did not require the warmth it still offered a comforting respite for the Namekian. The change in temperature reminding him of his own world. It was on this day that Piyano found himself approached by a trio of unique women. The group seemed to be comprised of a Saiyan, a Majin, and a human. Piyano found himself marveling at the Majin's appearance, he knew of their race yet had never seen one himself. Said to be beings with strong ties to magic Piyano's interest was immediately peaked.
Piyano found himself even more intrigued as the leader of this group appeared after a short fashion to be the human. Feeling out with his senses Piyano felt the flow of energies rising off the trio even as they all made small talk togther, both the Saiyan and the Majin contained some level of power, yet the human appeared entirely untrained to Piyano's senses. This only drove to confuse the Namekian more, but none of the three offered anything other than politeness to him. Eventual the girls offered him a highly generous treat. A night spent within their fabulous mansion.
Truly Piyano was still far from a master of Earth customs, yet this trio being the first people ever to invite Piyano home rang a bell of warning to the green skinned mans thoughts. In the end however Piyano found himself agreeing to the offer. The elders had sent him on a pilgrimage to Earth with no words of training or advise. Piyano was expected to discover his own path here on this blue world and as suspicious as the trio's offer was Piyano looked forward to the experience.
Arriving with the group at their home the Saiyan and Majin both broke off to attend to tasks or duties. The seemingly gracious human Rukia Date provided Piyano with a tour of her rather large and majestic home. Throughout the many rooms Piyano found himself in awe at how the wealthier Earthlings furnished their lives. It seemed to Piyano that this one home may contain as much furniture and wealth as the entirety of his own planet. Such thoughts were unlikely to be true Piyano knew subconsciously, he had been raised by a Namekian clan even more sparse than the average Namekian.
Entering into one especially spacious room, Rukia approached a large machine the likes of which Piyano had never before witnessed. Dominating a full corner of the large room, which was remarkably empty of other materials it quickly became apparent to Piyano that this room was used for some kind of training purpose. The young woman fiddled with a few buttons and one dial in particular as the pair stood within the room. A deep, rumbling filled the air as the machine activated immediately.
A sudden weight gripped at Piyano's body, it's crushing strength calling for him to hit the floor, pulling at his very being. The unexpected affect of the machine caught the green alien unaware, nearly resulting in him stumbling mid-step. Luckily Piyano managed to catch himself before the floor greeted his face. Concentrating on evenly dispersing his energy throughout his body Piyano found his movements restored to normal as he regained his composure. "A device to increase gravity. What a marvelous item." Piyano said as he slowly tested his movements with simply stretches. The increase gravity would require him to maintain absolute focus if he wished to retain full control over his body.
Suddenly Rukia was speaking a whole lot more than she had been previously, her offer of training and conversation seemed less a offer from her sudden interest and more a demand. Yet the woman had been nothing but hospitable until this point, plus Piyano could not deny that he was excited to experiment with training in heightened gravity. Dropping into a combative stance of his order Piyano listened as Rukia asked him questions about his people. Unsurprisingly she seemed most interested in wishes.
Even as the woman spoke she charge at him, a serene flurry of punches and kicks launched his way that Piyano mostly dodged or pushed wide from his body. Rukia's attack seemed aimless to Piyano, like she wasn't even truly trying to strike him. Yet her incredible speed and power set Piyano on his heels, even in the increased gravity Rukia was clearly swifter than he and the woman's punches stung his hands even while Piyano deflected them. Feeling himself being pushed back, Piyano slashed a quick chop between himself and Rukia to by himself space. The Namekian quickly followed his chop with a back flip to gain ground from the surprising woman, Piyano expected to feel his trailing foot connect with the girl, his movements designed to kick towards a opponents face at the last instant of the flip, yet no impact came.
Landing and regaining his balance several more feet away Piyano found himself breathing heavier than he should be. The gravity, mixed with the unexpected was already starting to wear on him. "If you wished to know more about my people you needed only to have asked. Sharing tales is a beloved past time of my people." Piyano said as he reached out with his senses to feel this woman's KI.
The amount of power wasn't staggering, but it was surely surprising. Here inside her own home Rukia must have deemed it unnecessary to disguise her power. The woman was approaching a power level on par with the bodyguards of Guru's. Rukia was by no means the most powerful being he had ever sensed, but her abilities eclipsed his own. Piyano knew he was fully out classed in every way by this young woman and that only made him more curious.
"There is some truth that wishes can be granted by my people. Those of my race with enough power can create a means to fulfill any desire. However this trait is rare and does not come easily to Namekian's or those seeking wishes." Piyano said as he moved in for his own attack, leading with a series of coordinated punches. "I have no fear that even should I hit you that it would wound one such as yourself." Piyano added during his attack.

Ever since she had gotten it, she had put it to use whenever she could, which was nearly almost everyday. If only because dealing with these two roommates of hers, was far from being an easy task. Her goal for finding one final species, or perhaps school in general, also got in the way of how often she was able to use the machine. So she wasn't surprised at all to hear his reaction, upon seeing what the machine was able to do. It filled her more with a sense of pride that she was able to achieve this dream of hers, which meant it was one less thing she would have to tend to, as she got stronger for her coven, and proved Vampires were superior.
The weight that was put on by the gravity machine, despite having seen previous uses, had yet to be something she had really adjusted to. She might have been stronger than everyone currently in this mansion, but there was plenty of strength she had yet to achieve. Not that she was planning on telling him, or any of her servants that. Sure, she couldn't hide her panting, or even the pattern in her movements coming close to a slow. Though reasoning was something she tended to use, and had plenty of, so her exhaustion despite her superior strength, could be simply excused for earlier endeavors that she had taken part in.
That was, and always would be the key to lying. To be able to tell something that could be true, and couldn't be proven false without the proper evidence to do so. The word of her servants wasn't something that would be considered evidence either, knowing what their status was here alone, and anyone who thought otherwise, was sure to be personally told that they were mistaken. For the most part, she had thought that things were going rather well with the man. He seemed competent enough, if his fighting was any indication at all, which her choice of dodging a kick, had shown it had been the right decision for her to make. Not would it be the last today.
Though she was disappointed with how even when she was throwing aimless punches, he still managed to have her hits make contact. While him being faster than her, wasn't something she wanted to somehow see, it would bode well to dodge, when given the proper opportunity. But there was also his response to the start of this whole gravity training, or perhaps even what she meant to ask him, that led to what sounded like that she was at fault, or even in the wrong. For an event like this, which she had set up and planned even before they had set foot in this mansion, neither of those were even possible to being true.
"If you think I hadn't planned to start things this way, you're sorely mistaken. A simple gathering around in the living room, would have been tiring. Use of this room is at least beneficial to both."
Had they actually gone down that route, she would have shut her eyes in a bit of annoyance. But with this being a training area, and far from being a place where she could show such disappointment, she had to settle for a second wind of sorts instead. Not one to yell loudly, but to put people in their place through words of subtly they would likely be too dumb to understand, the only other outlet she really had left, was fighting. Whether it was movement in her arms, or that in her legs, she could feel the amount of effort that she was putting in, as she continued to repeat her previous maneuver. Only, with more force behind the same speed.
"I would suggest trying to avoid these, this time around, without any meeting yours, until the onslaught is finished. Your performance was fine before you were unable to dodge something meant to be aimless. We'll be moving past these physical endeavors after."
Having yet been unable to really put into practice using ki for her own attacks, was really the only reason she had avoiding starting with that first. Had to make it known what she was capable of first, before glossing over and avoiding what would be her own lack of techniques where ki was involved. The outcome of her suggestion, and whether or not the man found a way to make it feasible, would affect her mood. He had already had a taste of it, first with his assumption, and another with this repeated performance. Though complaining about the advice she was giving in this situation, would certainly be idiotic and stunting any growth.
"You haven't mentioned the process on how it works, beyond its difficulty. Like whether or not it involves enchantments or incantations."
If this counted as part of his tale, it really wasn't much of one. She had expected to hear a story of sorts, and one which she assumed would be entertaining, since this involved wish granting. That was her main interest in his kind, if her earlier mention of avoiding the whole morality talk, was any indication at all. It wouldn't be anything she would partake in anytime soon, assuming she was told of the details, but rather something to keep in mind or be conscious about. Once you knew about a particular thing, it was usually easier to spot or notice that there were people interested and talking about it, then if you didn't know anything.
"You do have a right to ask any questions too. Though I'll judge whether or not it's fit to answer. There are certain things about a woman that's just not appropriate to question.
There was really no arguing with him about what she was able to handle. Though what she had personally noticed so far, were the lack of questions coming from him. Maize had already proven his people wasn't normally of this world, and he had proven for the most part, that he wasn't someone who was completely ignorant, when it came to certain things. Of course, she could always be proven wrong about this, although unlike other circumstances, it wouldn't be one that would struck a nerve with her. This kind of thing dealt with the incompetence of others, rather than an assumption that she could ever be at fault for something.

His hostess Rukia was proving to be a rather surprising individual to Piyano. First the woman's unique companions, than her completely dominating level of power; along with her ability to hide it so completely when out in public. Piyano knew that to hide ones own abilities was a powerful tactic when used correctly and the man decided than and there that he himself would have to learn such a technique of KI suppressing. Perhaps however the most unexpected thing about Rukia was that Piyano couldn't even begin to guess what she wanted from him.
Clearly the woman wished to spar and train herself, it was exactly what the pair was doing this very instant after all. The seemingly young teen had asked him after his races ability to grant wishes as well. Meaning Rukia knew about Namekian capabilities without knowing about how such wonders as wish granting could be conducted. Like most of his race Piyano had been raised since birth to safeguard the power of Dragon Balls, yet across most of the galaxy Dragon Balls were a well known legend. Could telling the girl about the wish granting dragon and the magical set of seven balls be such a troubling thing?
Piyano decided that filling the young woman in couldn't cause any harm, after all he himself was far to weak in power to produce a set of Dragon Balls himself. The man currently didn't even know of any active set of Dragon Balls that could be found, tales had been told of Earth's balls vanishing and the set on Namek was connected to the very old Guru. Even should Porunga be summoned on his home planet the great influx of power would surely kill the Guru and so Porunga would simply disappear from existence until a new Guru could create seven new balls.
Rukia snapped Piyano out of his thoughts with her statement. While Piyano could not even begin to argue with the young woman's claim of the gravity control room being beneficial to the both of them; mostly because her statement was overwhelming true. The tall Namekian disagreed with his hostess on her words about a gathering in the living quarters as being tiring. Piyano considered himself to over all be a peaceful individual and would likely have found similar enjoyment in calm conversation as he did in sparring. The man decided it would be best to not bring his thoughts out into the open however, instead the man went a different route.
"I must thank you greatly for this amazing opportunity. Such a room only hints at you power and resources, and you are surely correct in your belief that the benefits for the both of us will be deeply appreciated." Piyano replied honestly. Though a sparring match had not been on his mind before entering the manor of Rukia now that the pair were here he could not deny the wondrous training this girl could give him.
Even as he spoke Rukia came at Piyano again. Beginning with snap dodges and twisting himself out of harms way Piyano prepared himself to block a punch so that he may launch some form of counter attack. That train of thought died the instant Rukia offered up her warning about not letting himself be struck by her attacks. Previous blocks had already proven to Piyano that this girl had more than enough physical strength to blast past his defenses if she choose to do so. Taking Rukia's suggestions to heart Piyano abandoned any hopes of blocking and counter attacking to focus all of his concentration on dodging the girls assault.
"A move beyond the physical? Do you seek to train with energy? Or perhaps strength our mental disciplines? Piyano asked around haggard breathes. The Namekian would happily continue training with either option as Piyano strongly favored both mind mastery and Ki manipulation to physical conflict.
A flurry of kicks and punches rained his way, none of them truly aimed to harm him Piyano knew but the man didn't let his knowledge hold him back. Throwing himself backwards as far as possible Piyano tried to gain space between them, but Rukia kept coming. Using the flexibility of his people to his advantage Piyano kept himself low as he ducked and twisted away from Rukia's aimless attack. A punch soared in, Piyano dropped himself beneath it. A kick followed that was to low to duck, so Piyano tossed his body to the side in a tumble. The roll should have bought him space, but even as the man tried to recover his feet Rukia lead with a downward strike upon him. From his awkward position Piyano could surely never dodge normally, so the man thought to dodge abnormally.
Charging a quick burst of ki through his left palm, which planted firmly against the floor. Piyano released a basic wave of ki into the solid surface. The 'attack' was no more powerful than one of Piyano's standard punches, but power wasn't the point of his tactic. KI could be used to apply force in multiply directs and so Piyano sent the force driving into his palm. Their was no explosion from Piyano's technique, no blast of power or even any damage to Rukia's floor. Instead the force of the ki propelled Piyano sharply to the left at a extreme angle and with a surprising amount of speed.
Piyano watched as if in slow motion as Rukia's attack struck nothing but air as his outstretched arm rocketed him out of danger. Having just enough presence of mind to launch a quick attack of his own Piyano swung his right leg in a wide arc. Seeing as how his legs were currently above his head due to his abnormal 'float' position, Piyano lashed out hard hoping to feel a solid connection this time.
Once the awkward dodge/strike combination was over Piyano had to pick himself up off the floor several feet away from his hostess, not a easy task due to the increase gravity pressing down on his body. It was during this reprieve that Rukia asked for further explanation on his tale involving wishes. "You are correct to guess at incantations and rituals taking place before a wish can be granted. Yet you have the order of events wrong, in a manner of speaking." Piyano said respectfully, even as he was beginning to regain his feet. "Namekian's grant wishes through the creation of magical artifacts. To bring such objects into existence a Namekian of sufficient power and training undergoes a long enchantment to form Dragon Balls from his very life force." he continued a moment later after properly steadying himself once more.
"Seven such balls are created from the ritual. Than as long as their creator still lives the balls can be brought together to summon a eternal dragon. The true gods and granters of any wish." Piyano said to wrap up his tale about the Dragon Ball legend, figuring with just this amount of information Rukia's interest would be peaked yet no harm would seek her out for possessing special knowledge.
Furrowing his brow in thought as Piyano tried to think of his own questions for the young woman. Piyano rubbed his bald head as he pulled forth the only questions he could think to ask. "Are you truly human? You very much seem to be but at such a young age you possess great power. A trait far more common in other space faring species. Unless of course you aren't truly in your mid-teens?" Piyano asked, unknowing if such a question would be answered. A naturally curious people, Namekian's did not fret from questions of age or species as they saw no harm in sharing.
She had noticed that much, from the countless throws that had been sent his way. Enough to where it was obvious it wasn't one that had been gained through practice. This was all something that must have been natural to him, which was peculiar in itself. But they all had something about themselves, which made them more useful than another. For the most part, she had avoided what attacks had been sent her way, knowing that she was far capable of doing so. Any attack that he had actually manage to land, would be because she had allowed it to happen. The goal after all, was to mostly see what he was capable of doing.
Her suggestions for him to dodge instead of block, was a pretty noticeable change. Under this amount of gravity, breathing patterns were an inevitable part of being different. Movements were also subjected to receiving the same treatment, and as her own punches started to wind down, things she had expected to happen, hadn't. Though she wouldn't say things were satisfactory yet. When an opponent was stronger than you were, and by more than a marginal amount, it was typical to run out of ideas, and resort to desperate measures. Like a wounded animal who was cornered. It was an interesting sight to behold and see.
She had yet to feel that way herself, but saw it time and again in her coven's monthly bouts. Their expressions and exhaustion painted such a picture in her mind, that even through her own fatigue, she was able to find amusement. Far from being enough to actually serve as a second wind of sorts, but it was better to be in a relatively pleasant mood, than any other. The man's performance met these conditions at the moment, though she still kept a careful eye. It was things like the gap of his responses, or whether or not he was able to follow her word, was what she was looking for. Right now, things were only half and half.
"See it how you wish. I would like to just gather more experience with fighting against what I'm not familiar of."
One thing about taking the lead, or being in control of a situation in general, was that she was allowed to go at her own pace. Where they went from here would be up to her, and there wasn't really a need to confirm or deny what she didn't want. And admitting she didn't know how to use ki as an attack, wasn't going to be one of them. Call it another advantage she had, and a rather fair one, knowing that she was already sharing her fill of things, taking the lead in the first place. The man already had his own ideas of what was going on as well, so whatever satisfied his own imagination, she wouldn't be one to say otherwise.
The dodging that was being carried out by the man, only grew more and more difficult, as what she had threw at him landed in various odd points. He managed to avoid all of them, although the last one was rather odd, since he seemed to have bounced off of the floor, just to avoid it. Either he was stronger than he was making himself out to be, or he was using a ki attack. It could have gone both ways, and perhaps even at the same time. She wasn't quite sure, though it wasn't anything that she would question. Annoyed as the first one would be, she would be giving the assumption of worry. Latter wouldn't matter in a moment.
"See the difference between dodging and blocking? Both have its uses, and while the former requires more effort and energy, it prevents needless injuries."
As soon as the last of her throws had ended, he had gone and made another move to attack her. One which came in the form of another leg swing from above. That was another thing she had noticed about his attacking. They seemed to aim more towards the face, than the body itself. She didn't dodge what was coming to her, but had blocked it with her arms. The kind of force that he was exerting, showed he had meant business with the kick, and the impact of it was felt. If there was anything she could compare the strength of his kick to, it would be like a punch in the gut. Surprising and painful in how it hurt and ended.
Perhaps if she wasn't above him in strength, it would have been much worse. But what happened was that she was able to adjust that brief gap of hesitation, and push back against the attack. Sweat had long since glistened across her skin, which had both cooled down and continued to pour out. Expected from this kind of workout, and would require a good shower when this was all good and done. He was away from her before she bothered with making a move to force him back herself, with the man landing a couple of feet away from her. The soreness from the blow was there, but could be adjusted to like the gravity.
"Earth's artifacts must be different then, or your people would be a more common sight around here. I guess it explains why they sell dragon radars to just anyone."
Her being right about incantations or enchantments, was just expected. Wishes fell under the category of magic, and that kind of thing involved either of the two. What she didn't expect was the process involving not only seven different artifacts, but also that it relied on one of the man's people to say the enchantments. Collecting seven artifacts was already a lot of work, though to also depend on someone else to carry out a wish? She didn't want to depend on anyone. Shouldn't need to. People were supposed to depend on her. It was never the other way around. This had to have been a planet difference.
His mention of it involving dragons, was a big enough indication, and reminder of a particular item they sold at the mall. The dragon radar had always been one of the items she was curious about, but the problem, much like with buying everything in this room, was the lack of funds. An object she was able to hold in her hands, was worth as much as a mansion. Something that had lots of rooms and more space than she had any idea on how to decorate. Interesting, and now that she knew what the purpose of this device was, she would be aiming to gather them herself, regardless of the work it involved.
"Age is one of those forbidden questions I mentioned earlier."
That part had stuck out to her first. She might look young for as long as she could avoid death, but hearing her age was still something she didn't want to hear. If it was guessed too low, then whether they meant to or not, she was being told she acted younger than she thought. Too old, then it meant she wasn't acting young enough. There was a balance there, in that she was old enough to be competent, and felt young enough for her to display an appropriate amount of energy. Even the assumption that she was from space like him, didn't do any to appease her slightly annoyed mood at the question.
"As I've said before, I'm still a high schooler, and only turned 16 this year. Hate to disappoint, but I'm not from space or human either. Used to be, but now I'm a Vampire."
The question still had to be answered though, and rightfully so. He gave her the information she desired, and she had no qualms with revealing what she truly was, if it was asked right. Besides, since turning into a Vampire, she had seen and felt enough weaknesses of the human form, to truly stand being mistaken for one. Too many instances that would involve her depending on someone, because she didn't have the power to do so herself. The question had likely been asked upon her suggestion, though it still wasn't as filling as it would be if she had asked some questions herself.
"Alright, so let me see you throw some ki attacks. The walls of this place should be strong enough to resist a few blows."
It was a good few minutes, but she had stopped her attacks for some recuperation, and listening to what she felt deserved a short break. The weight of the gravity was more noticeable and present, but since it was just standing around, there was no extra effort that she had been using for awhile now. Though with that next plan of action being declared, she would be getting back into things. Pushing against the heaviness of the room around them, she had charged forward, using the kind of speed she would against a threat, which would look like teleportation to the untrained eyes.
"Got anything else you want to ask about me or my roommates? Likely won't be anything beyond advice, after this."
She would stay in a spot for a brief few moments, allowing the chance to attack her, before moving away, and somewhere he hadn't been looking at just a moment ago. Both questions were asked this way, with her blocking anything that had been sent to her, and dashing away again. Her full on dash had been with the complete intention to bring on a sense of fear or alertness. Whether or not he really fell for it, reacting the same as he had with the rest of her aimless punches, she would see for herself. Beyond blocking, no attempts had really been made to throw any punches.
PL: 16,565 Stamina: 3/3 Blocks any incoming attack. Blocks any incoming attack.
Rukia answered Piyano's thanks with a rather cryptic reply of preparation. The woman only seemed to truly wish to spar for a better understand of how Piyano's people would conduct themselves in combat. To the Namekian's way of thinking such words would imply a wish to battle his people in the future, something Piyano would not be pleased to discover. It was possible however that he was simply misunderstanding Rukia's meaning or some kind of earthly custom. Plus in the end Piyano knew battle against himself could never truly prepare the woman for further combat against his people. A great many Namekian's possessed strength well beyond Piyano's current power, plus tactic's, numbers, techniques, and transformations all came together in combat to decide a winner. Sometimes raw power simply wasn't enough.
Unsurprisingly Piyano's awkward arcing kick had been defeated by the young woman before him, seemingly with little to no effort on her part. The teenagers block had completely frozen Piyano's assault, not only had the Namekian put his all into the attack, but he had also hoped the downward applying pressure of the manors increased gravity would add weight and power behind the blow. Instead of feeling distress at his failed strike however Piyano rather enjoyed the display of ability and capability that his hostess Rukia was providing. For the young woman to display such effortless strength was surely a hint at levels of power that Piyano now knew to strive for, no matter how intense the training that would be required.
When his attack had been stopped Rukia had allowed Piyano to gain distance and escape any form of rebuking strike. Piyano could tell the young woman was playing nice, she not only could easily overpower him but was forcing him to think and attack outside the norm free of consequences. In true combat several maneuvers attempted by Piyano could have likely been turned against him. realizing this left Piyano with several thoughts he would need to review in meditation later, whether this was Rukia's intention or not the woman was gifting Piyano not only a physical exercise but also the means to train mentally later on.
After distance had been put between the pair Piyano was left panting and staggered as he reclaimed his breath. The gravity machine was proving to be its own opponent for Piyano. Having never trained in enhanced gravity before the man was discovering that he was capable of the task, yet he also strongly believed there would be lasting pains to his body over the next couple of days. Being forced into dodging Rukia's strikes had forced Piyano to move and tumble in manners he had trained in during his younger years but did not often practice or utilize any longer. The soreness in his muscles made Piyano accept that he would need to retrain in the basic of combat again, to once more imprint upon his body the motions and movements that came naturally to his people, after all flexibility was rumored to be a Namekian specialty.
Doing what he could to recover Piyano was glad to see Ruika was taking up a greater amount of conversation. First it would by both of the pair a chance to rest, second it was a chance for Piyano to increase his understanding. Many things could be learned through sparring and physical displays, but Piyano had always firmly believed in the educational properties of words and the man understood he had just as much to gain from listening to the things Ms. Rukia said as he did from throwing punches with her. The young woman went on to explain the differences between blocking and dodging. To which Piyano found he deeply agreed with Rukia, dodging took much more effort, had the Namekian been exhausted of his stamina he could have never maintained his frantic pace of tumbles and lunges needed to avoid attack. Blocking while easier to perform ran the risk of injuries pressing through his block, like with earlier should Rukia strike full force against him Piynao knew he could not hold such a strike back.
Soon after discussion turned back onto the Dragon Balls, truthfully not every Namekian would be so fully versed in the lore of dragon ball creation and summoning. Piyano however had spent his life in service to the order of Guru's Hand and as such had spent many years being instructed in the ways and means of bringing forth eternal dragons. Rukia's comments about Dragon Radars, and Earth's dragon balls working differently than the balls of Namek brought a frown to Piyano's features. Only momentarily though as the man did not wish for his displeasure to accidentally be directed towards his host. "Each creator of a set of Dragon Balls may impart their own rules into the creation. On Namek the great dragon only speaks and understands the language of my people. Therefore only a Namekian may actually speak the wish to be granted." Piyano replied, leaving out the fact that the Namekian language was not only one of the hardest to learn in the galaxy, but also that Namekian's were forbidden to teach the language to others. Such safeguards could be bypassed however, the language could be learned and people have taught it to others in the past.
"Earth has long been lacking in the restrictions of its dragon. On Namek only times of great need allow for the summoning of our dragon. Yet in Earth's history it has been said the dragon was summoned regularly for several years." Piyano said with a shake of his head. in the mans eyes such disregard for the power of something like the Dragon Balls could only spell misfortune. Piyano had been told the tales of the dragons Porunga and Shenron both wishing back planets and returning the wrongful dead to life. Such causes were glorious uses for the magical artifacts. So to however had Piyano been told a story of the dragon on Earth being summoned to grant a wish for a pair of panties. The under clothing of a female earthling, such a misuse of the eternal dragons was disgraceful if the story was true.
When the time came for Piyano's own questions to be answered the green alien found he may have accidentally struck a nerve with his hostess. The man intended no offense but Rukia seemed just a hint displeased when she warned age was something she did not enjoy discussing. Piyano was shocked to learn the young woman was exactly that, young. Piyano was currently twice this girls age yet her powers dwarfed his own at the moment. Perhaps more intriguing was the young woman admission of her race. Learning the girl was neither human nor alien intrigued Piyano, however the name of her species was new and foreign to Piyano's ears. Vampires, whatever they may be were not something to be found upon planet Namek. Truth be told many races could be found on Namek, but over recent years few individuals seemed willing to travel to the Namekian home world. It was for this reason Piyano had been sent to Earth for his pilgrimage, Earth simply was better populated and offered more opportunity for one to advance.
It was than that Rukia decided the pairs break was finished however. Demanding they move on to energy training the woman seemed to expect Piyano to launch a energy wave at her. Luckily Piyano's breathing had shallowed considerable in their few minutes of conversation and the man knew he would be able to comply with Rukia's request. Normally Piyano would be against simply tossing energy upon a person, but he was firm in his belief that Piyano could not harm Rukia with a melee attack of any kind, so surely even his KI based abilities should hardly effect the woman. Focusing his energy internally Piyano shaped and guided his power throughout his core and into his arms. Often had Piyano witnessed showy attacks and blasts from other warriors, yet the man did not follow such examples himself.
Raw power was a good thing to possess, but Piyano was a firm believer in being clever. That the mind could defeat the brawn if used correctly, and so Piyano had developed his KI attacks with such beliefs in mind. Right now the man was still in the beginning stages of development but Piyano's techniques were the stepping stones to creating means to defeat even enemies of a power far beyond his own. Now was as good a time as any to see if Piyano's beliefs were founded in fact or not.
The energy within Piyano's arms built until the Namekian transferred all that power into a single palm. Rukia rushed forward with unbelievable speed, Piyano possessing just enough training to track her charge but likely not escape it. Luckily he didn't have too, the woman was only moving forward, confident in her ability to bare the brunt of Piyano's assault. Not wishing to disappoint this most interesting hostess Piyano calmly extended his right arm forward and released his power. "Gentle Push." were the words that escaped his lips with his movements. The attack barely looking like a strike at all but more as if Piyano was reaching out calmly to request that Ruika stop her charge.
KI shot forward however from that open palm, due to the design of the technique Ruika would not see the energy coming. Invisible to the naked eye Piyano's technique was meant to give no outward signs of a attack, even as unseen energy rushed in to blast his target. In the current stages of development Piyano's energy could still be sensed however, meaning any KI sensing being could easily detect the blast happening right before them.
His attack launched Piyano could do nothing but sit back and watch, obvious curiosity lighting his features even as Rukia asked him after any remaining questions of his own. "I do possess two questions honestly. What is a Vampire? I am unfamilar with your species. Also I would very much like to discuss your Majin companion. I hear they are a race breed of magic, such a thing if true would be most fascinating." Piyano said, his natural love of magic forcing him to ask after the two races. With luck he could learn a thing or two.
Everything that he had been saying, and what she knew herself, contrasted against each other. The dragon radars on earth were expensive, but they had to have been worth something, if these things were still in production. While for a place like the man's planet, which seemed to really sell on the idea of preserving their culture, there likely wasn't such technology there. Or at least if there was, she didn't get that kind of impression. Which artifacts she would decide to go after one day, it was difficult to really say. These were wish granting objects, fulfilling the right conditions, and both had its downsides. Almost everything tended to.
For earth, it would be competing against the other inhabitants on earth, who were from space like the man, and actually knew these artifacts existed. With the population that was on this planet, it wouldn't be an easy task. While a place like the man's planet, of which who's location she could simply get from her Saiyan servant, there was just the issue of relying on someone to translate. What would possibly stop them from telling this foreign speaking dragon, not to strike her down where she stood? Learning the language, much like here on earth, would be too much of a hassle to do. She was more of the type to get a translator.
"A rather big difference I'm assuming makes you uneasy?"
The frown that he briefly had on his face, didn't go unnoticed. Body language was what she was studying with her choices of servants in the first place. Earth was a planet that was no stranger to events where certain things were taken credit for. The origin of these seven artifacts beginning on the man's planet first, but 'borrowed' and made better here on earth, wouldn't at all be surprising news. Though going by this belief in where this whole wish granting thing was started, that would mean either one of the man's people had created the artifacts here on earth, or a human had learned the language, to make their own.
It was interesting either way, and while the news of earth's own artifacts having seen use was expected, it did make her curious on just what they were. She couldn't recall being taught this kind of information in school, or even having heard about it on the news. Both of which she had a tendency to have herself be informed of. His own view on the lack of restrictions, pretty much continued to support what she had asked, though already knew the answer to. Earth sounding like the irresponsible one out of the countless number of planets that must have been out there, was just an amusing thought to really hear of.
"Can't say I recall reading or hearing about any dragons in the sky. Anything you've heard in particular you wish to share? Besides the classic of wishing for power, of course."
Though she was saying the latter part like it was too cliche, beyond wanting even more wealth, this was the thing that she would actually use the artifacts for. Power was a great thing to have. Being in a position of power, was even better. Being a Vampire, the taste of both she felt over the average human, was simply just delightful. But there was a certain threshold, before she would just go on and continue seeking more to have that fill of euphoria. Not much has really changed since her turning into a Vampire, which was a good sign that she wasn't bored of what she currently had. That was such an awful thing to experience.
The break they had was unintended, and only happened due to her own interest in the conversation. Getting back into the swing of things though, hadn't been much of an issue at all. What recuperation she hasn't gotten out of the break had helped, but nothing on the level that stopping this whole training would do. After all, being in 10 times the gravity of earth for this long, eventually would start to have such an effect on bodies that weren't used to it, that she was likely to be unable to stand by the time that they were done here. But that kind of weakness on her part, wouldn't be shown if she could really help it.
Too much of an embarrassment for such a thing. Her muscles might have ached, and breathing had to change from its usual patterns to adjust against exhaustion, but she would be finishing things on her terms. Which by the end of this little sparring match, would have her reveal at least 2 of her 3 forms. And all to get the Intel she wanted from studying the man. What she had seen of him before, she had confidence that someone who was even stronger than he was, might or might not show the same tendencies to aim for the face. Even listening to her requests and adjusting as such, likely would be a different response.
But it was useful information nonetheless. She had seen his lips move as he made his counter to her charge, and the words that she had said and managed to catch through blocking the attack, was that it was the name of the technique. Not unusual when it came to certain styles of fighting, as it was supposed to be an outlet of sorts, though it was an easy tell. She had expected to see some kind of light show, having seen her servants do such when using their ki attacks, though it both looked and felt like it was some kind of air pressure move. One which did push her back, as expected from that kind of maneuver.
Though she had regained her footing, just in time to move behind him for another chance to hit her, before distancing herself. What she wanted to see was the range, and whether he would have to keep close to her, or stay a respectable distance, now that she was allowing the usage of ki in this session. The questions he had for her, had soon came, with it apparently only winding down to two he seemed to feel appropriate in asking. Not knowing what a Vampire was, is understandable for someone who was from space, and was something she was glad to reveal, wanting her kin to be more known.
His interest in Sayako, he had pretty much explained, and was rather amusing as well. Compared to the man and how respectful he seemed to be, Sayako was a feisty mass of pink with colorful language that could go head to toe with her cousin. The girl had a certain shyness to her as well, though her dismissive side showed a lot more often. Maiz was the better of the two, since her kin seemed to be the sort that had the intellect of a caveman. Many things such as food and video games, made the girl easy to manipulate, despite the insistence that she was the inferior one, despite their age difference.
"While I don't have any qualms in answering, I would like to first ask for your permission in carrying out a certain thirst, when this training ends. It's something I've already taken from the other two today, and anymore would complicate on an agreement established between us. As for Sayako, she isn't an agreeable sort for someone who serves me. But I am aware she's able to turn her entire form into a movable mass of flesh, and an ability to turn things and even people into candy. Though it doesn't seem to be an ability she's proud of."
Much like she had before, she had gone and tested what reserves of energy she was running on, to go and charge at him. Though it was a feint meant to make him believe she would continue to get that close. While an opportunity to strike her once again was there, she had distanced herself quickly after, changing to a side he wasn't facing like before as well. She was getting tired enough for it to be well deserved to change into one of her other forms, and as she did pull into that feeling that would turn her into a form of mist, it wouldn't be until after she had finished making her feints. One for each of what she had said.
PL: 15,903 Stamina: 3/3 Blocks any incoming attack Changes into mist form, adding 10% to dodges.
Piyano's hostess had indeed noted the frown that had crossed his features. Rukia asked him as much as stated her next question, and Piyano found the woman's words ringed with truth. Deep within Piyano's heart the Namekian was a traditionalist, many great things came to a people and a planet with time and change; the green man knew this to be true. Sometimes however change could come in brutal form and fashion however, something the people of planet Namek had observed first hand over the centuries. For thousands of years Namek had possessed Dragon Balls, but under the guidance of his species Guru Namek had thrived peacefully. Though it was true that several demon clans had on occasion rose up to wage war for the power of Porunga, these instances were few and far between.
Than just three hundred years after a Nameless Namekian had abandoned planet Namek, the great calamity was visited upon his people. Lord Emperor Frieza, the alien tyrant had not only somehow heard of the existence of Dragon Balls through a means the Namekian people had never discovered; but the galactic ruler had come to Namek openly waging war. Frieza and his armies had scavenged the lands of Namek, murdered it's people, and finally blown the ancestral world to little more than space dust. Elder Namekian's still told the tale to Piyano's people, not as a means to breed hatred, but so that the Namekian race would never forget it's most vulnerable moment. So that Namekian's would never forget when they had almost become an extinct species of the galaxy.
Many races would not remember such events, not unless it was a race possessed of very capable historians. Namekian's however could live peaceful lives as long as five hundred years, reaching such a venerated longevity did not happen often but it was far from unheard of. Secondly many Namekian's possessed the ability to impart their memories into the minds of their children. In some cases this ability would allow a Namekian child to full function as a adult from the very day they hatched. Both of these amazing racial traits made it so that Namekian's still knew what had happened to their planet eight hundred years ago. It was after all, as little as three generations from the modern age.
The dark histories of Piyano's people would have to be remembered upon another time however Piyano realized as Rukia snapped Piyano back to attention by asking about specific wishes that had been granted by Earth's dragon balls. Everything Piyano knew about the earthen orbs had come from old tales told around campfires on Namek. Nearly everything on Namek was told around campfires however, Namekian's were a very narrative people and educating through the telling of stories was not only common place. It was the beloved practiced norm of his race's educational system. Only the utmost important of information was transcribed into a written format on Namek, it helped that many Namekian's could openly speak into each others minds, simply imparting images to go along with tales and stories.
Piyano did however know of several tales he could tell Rukia however, the Namekian decided to wait on any further stories until after the woman charged his building energy attack. It was then that Rukia charged him. Piyano's Gentle Push was a useful technique for several different reasons and as the energy blew Rukia back under the force of its forward motion Piyano discovered his attack possessed a benefit he had never thought of before. Being constructed of invisible forces both Rukia and Piyano could see 'through' his KI attack. So when Rukia quickly recovered her footing, completely unharmed by Piyano's technique, the Namekian learned just how much trouble he would be in should this young vampire woman truly wish to cause him harm.
Suddenly Rukia was simply gone, vanished through a boost of speed that completely eclipsed Piyano's capability to track with his eyes alone. Reaching out with his senses Piyano searched for the girl's KI signature. Piyano didn't have to search for very long; the woman had reappeared right behind him. Spinning in place and dropping low Piyano lashed out with his left leg in a wide sweep along the mansions beautiful flooring, intending to catch Rukia by the ankles and trip his hostess into the air. Wishing to not allow for failure Piyano followed the spin with a uppercut from his low position, claws of his right hand leading the charge. Against a foe of his own power Piyano would have tripped his enemy with the sweep, setting them up with no escape from the mans upward stab. Rukia was no foe of Piyano's own power.
The young vampire simple back stepped away from Piyano's attacks. No particular effort or training had been put into the woman's dodge, Rukia was simply so much faster than Piyano that she could calmly avoid him. Realizing this Piyano began to wonder if Rukia perceived him as if trapped beneath deep waters? His physical actions slow and clumsy to her heightened sense of the world around her. Watching as Rukia put more distance between them Piyano made no move to chase after the woman. Laboring merely to breath the prolonged exposure to the manor's heightened gravity was taking a powerful toll upon Piyano's body.
Muscles strained against the rooms ever present pull, the Namekian's bones ached as well. In fact for the past few minutes Piyano had been feeling his knees and fingers pop whenever he forced the limbs and digits to move. Hoping to sneak a moment to breath Piyano choose this moment to answer Rukia's earlier question. "If the tales told by my elders are to be believed, earthlings have a tendency to wish for items most unusual." Piyano began, attempting to suck in large heaves of air with every word to faster recover himself. "On many occasions Earth's dragon was summoned forth to provide both zeni and power yes, but sometimes summoners have been known to wish for ice cream, feasts, and on one usage a pair of undergarments worn by a woman." Piyano finished, hoping Rukia would feel the same level of shock and disgust Piyano himself had felt when he had come to learn artifacts as powerful as the dragon balls had been used like mere children's toys.
His moment for breath catching expected to be over Piyano was pleased to learn that Rukia choose to answer his own question. At first Piyano was pleased, but something about Rukia's words struck a wrong cord to Piyano's sharp green ears. This young woman wished to partake of a thirst with him? Unlearned in the ways of vampires Piyano could not begin to understand any meaning in the woman's words. Due to Rukia's age the Namekian knew of drinking laws within the northern lands, but do to the young woman's inclusion of her servants in the statement and how she had already taken of them? The whole thing sounded most sinister to Piyano, at least taken out of context such as the request was.
In almost the same breath Rukia filled Piyano in on her associate Sayako's abilities. Both techniques sounded very unusual and situation in their utility, yet in a odd way Sayako's abilities weren't entirely outside the realm of things Namekian's could do. Many warrior caste Namek's could stretch and shrink not just their limbs but the entirety of their bodies, growing to extreme heights. In a similar vein dragon caste Namekian's could create object from nothing, utilizing a powerful magic technique passed down through the ages. Neither ability exactly matched a Majin, but it was still interesting for Piyano to ponder the close resemblances. Perhaps in some manner the two magic's of both Sayako's and Piyano's people were connected? As much as Piyano liked to think so he knew that such a thing was doubtful at best.
"I must ask? What does this thirst of your require?" Piyano asked afterward. The Namekian had always been raised to be respectful and offer aid to others, plus Rukia had been a wondrous hostess to him. The green man would not agree however without knowing the terms of any bargain he might make with this young vampire. For all he knew the girl wished to drain him of his life force, Piyano would not simply trade his life for pleasant conversation and physical training. If the man would emerge from this ordeal unharmed however? Well Piyano was always open to new things, for the first time anyway.
Suddenly Rukia charged the man again. The young woman's speed was still amazing, but she was holding back for the moment. Piyano was beginning to catch on that Rukia was studying him, something that shouldn't have been surprising since she had openly admitted to her intent long ago at the beginning of their training. Realizing their was literally nothing Piyano could do to hit the woman unless she willed it the Namekian decided to change tactics. Possessing but a single remaining KI attack Piyano wished to save the technique until it might actually prove to be useful. So when Rukia charged him Piyano did the one thing he had yet to do their entire training session... Piyano charged as well.
Rushing the woman Piyano lead with clawed swipes, his attacks aimed high for the young woman's face. As expected Piyano didn't even come close to connecting. it was entirely possible that taking the offensive for the first time could have thrown Rukia off her guard, but the woman's speed was too great as she simply vanished yet again. This time Piyano did not search for Rukia however, instead Piyano didn't even so much as turn his head as a sharp whistle escaped his lips.
The KI laced whistle ebbed and flowed out from Piyano like a wave of power. This attack had been designed to target enemies not with Piyano's eyes or any other senses he himself controlled. No this technique did not pick targets out of a crowd, instead anyone capable of hearing the musical assault beyond the user would be inflicted with a zapping pain. With luck the surprising attack would strike Rukia even though Piyano could not see the woman, the attack was far from perfect however. At this stage in Piyano's development though the attack could easily be blocked by any foe smart enough to cover their ears. It was only after Piyano released his attack that he finally turned to search for his hostess. Piyano's jaw dropping slack as he witnessed the cloud of mist that seemed to move of it's own desire. Could this living mist truly be Rukia?
That was one cultural aspect that she had been taught, and something that she was sure most people would at least agree with. The reason for it, is because in both media and books, they were taught that wishes could lead to consequences and regrets. If only because the being with that kind of power, were the types to twist it. Being careful was key in these fictional events, which many but idiots were unable to do. However, there was a big difference between agreeing with something, and actually carrying that out. Anything beyond power and wealth, were wishes that she deemed foolish to make, and something that was a waste.
But she knew plenty of people who would have made such a wasteful wish if they could. Especially since these artifacts didn't sound like they held any consequences from using them. It was actually somewhat fortunate, that the process to getting a wish was a difficult one. She might not like it when things were troublesome, but better than to have idiots misuse them. What the man had told her about feasts and ice cream over wealth, was just appalling. Though what disturbed her the most had to be an apparent wish for a girl's underwear. How could someone like that manage to gather all seven artifacts, from everyone else competing for them?
It wasn't luck. There was only so much one could have, before she would consider the idea that the God of this planet was incompetent. Which meant that this person had likely somehow gained several opportunities to steal the artifacts. She couldn't really think of any other reason for why such a thing would be allowed to happen. It was sickening, wasting something special like a wish. The thought of it being on garments, upsetting as it was to her, also brought warmth to her cheeks. Might have been a trivial thing to be embarrassed about for someone like her, but it was just another human weakness she had yet to really get over.
"Appalling as that is to hear it lead to such uses, I can't say it's completely surprising. This planet has had a long history of being incompetent with many things, and I would say are continuing to make up for it, with what advances we have."
A process which she doubted would ever finish, since that would mean there was no more room to grow and develop into something better. Such a world would give life and the people around less meaning and motivation. Most of what she did and her decisions were based on what she felt about a matter. There wouldn't be much motivation or purist at all in such a scenario. As the conversation had gone and led between questions the man had for her, she was careful to consider what she was fine with revealing, and what she wasn't. Nothing as of yet, made her want to force her hand into revealing something too early.
Nor was she planning on having the conversation lead that way. The man might have provided information she found to be useful and viable, but there was still plenty he hadn't considered, that she did. Explaining to him about what she was, required a build up of sorts, rather than something to be explained all at once. Demonstrations were memorable as well, than just spouting out information. While for things like information on her servants, it was best to point out their flaws and certain displeasure she had. It exerted control that wasn't meant to be stated directly, but would give the impression or indication it should be followed.
"If you're worried about your life, or some kind of forced control, I assure you my servants would have displayed such illness or peculiar behavior. But if you wish to think about it longer, I'll allow it."
Something like this however, would require allowing choices which truly would make no difference. The truth in that lied in reasoning, as what she had mentioned rung true. Sayako, rather than making an effort in greeting their guest, simply headed to her bedroom, carrying her phone and several snacks. While Maiz, had gone and hung out in the kitchen, devoting her attention to a gaming console. Both had been preoccupied with something, but their faces were still visible. One wore a frown, while the other held a look like she was trying to understand or figure out what she was doing, and how something had worked.
Though whether or not he was able to really see her request had no ill intentions wouldn't matter. Blood would be shed by the end of this session. This kind of gravity, for those who had yet to be routinely adjusted, could quite possibly be enough to put pressure on the lungs. The kind that could have blood erupting from it. They had been going on long enough for it to be a possibility, if his breathing was any indication. She was just as exhausted and possible to experience the same. Although the difference between them, was that with it being her gravity machine, she had already received this kind of exposure to her body.
This mist form of hers, much like her other two forms, were ones that aided in her recuperation, whenever she was much too exhausted. Energy and effort would still be used to maintain the form, but it was more something that was the equivalent of standing, rather than something taxing. Her decision to slip into this form had came at a right time too, as the man's next attack has brought with it some peculiar whistling. As her form became that of mist, she had felt what likely would have been a zap, dispersing within her new form. It was felt, but more in a way which resembled having to suddenly gasp for air.
"You've asked what a Vampire was, and this is one of two forms that I plan to reveal to you. I can answer something more direct, but that can come later."
Her voice sounded all throughout the most in this form, which took up the space of the room. There wasn't much she could do in here but move, not really figuring out how to exert more of s presence in this form of hers. Though there was still a lesson to be learned entering within this form. How were people who weren't aware of these limits respond? When she went back to her regular form, where would she appear exactly? They were good questions, but perhaps there were more pressing things to think about, like the effect of being under gravity for so long. His coughing, breathing, along with his movements. Did he realize what was happening?
"Decide for yourself whether this ability is possible for someone who looks human, and if I'm really just hiding from within. I would not however, cease any attempts to hit me. It might appear that you don't seem to be inflicting any damage, but know that being hurt isn't just a physical process. We'll have to personally introduce you to the others, when this is all over."

Piyano was pleased to hear that Rukia seemed to share the Namekian's disgust with wasteful wishes, although the alien was shocked to see the young woman blush momentarily from his words. In truth the green man could never truly understand what Rukia would consider a worthy wish. Such things could only be revealed at the moment a wish was granted. Any individual could claim a purity of heart, or show a hint of selfish greed. It was only when ones wish was truly and fully within their reach that a person revealed the inner emotions that ruled their soul. Rukia went on to extrapolate on how the people of Earth were forever advancing to make up for the failings of their history. The insight shown by the young vampire with such a heavy statement hinted at a wellspring of wisdom hidden inside Piyano's hostess. At sixteen years of age Rukia was proving to be wise and clever beyond her years.
When wish discussion had reached it's inevitable end, Rukia's reaction to Piyano's hesitation only helped to enforce the Namekian's belief that the young vampire's 'thirst' could indeed have detrimental side effects to his health. As much as the green man was wary however Piyano could not ignore that his own thirst; a thirst for knowledge, craved to witness whatever ritual it was Rukia held within the confines of her thoughts. With Rukia's promise of Piyano retaining his life and his freedom of mind, not too mention the woman pointing out the condition of her friends living in the mansion beside her helped to sell Piyano on the low risks involved.
Both Sayako and Maiz seemed entirely independant of thought from what Piyano had witnessed first hand when the trio had approached Piyano out in the cold of the northern winter, and if a illness did infect them than the pair could hide such a sickness so completely that Piyano had witnessed nothing to give him pause or warning. Pondering on his answer about the 'thirst' Piyano had to push his train of thought aside as Rukia charged him, and the pairs quick skirmish of attacks and defenses played out against each other. By the end Piyano's whistle had no effect as the young woman altered her physical form into a living cloud of mist.
Piyano attempted to hold his assaulting whistle for a few moments even with his belief that it harmed Rukia in no fashion. The continued effort was more for Piyano's sake, to determine if their was a length to Rukia's changed state of matter. Whether there was a time limit upon Rukia's technique however the Namekian didn't possess the stamina to determine. Seemingly within a single note Piyano's whistle switched from powerful to sputtering. A wetness infected the aliens music before disturbing Piyano all together as a thick glob of purple blood slipped free of the Namekian's lungs and filled his throat.
Dropping to his hands and knees Piyano released a torrent of coughs that sprinkled the man's forearm with his blood in little droplets that glistened starkly against his emerald flesh. Finally Piyano felt himself suffering the full pressure of the gravity enhanced room now. Too long in the chamber mixed with increasingly difficult sparring was taking a heavy toll and Piyano was learning the hard way that expending his KI in such a manner would have disastrous effects upon him in such a unforgiving environment. It took Piyano many moments to stabilize his loss of control, concentrating of recovering as much as he could. It was in this moment that Piyano realized only the regenerative abilities of his species had likely allowed Piyano to fight as hard as he had been up until now.
Luckily Rukia told the man a little about her mist form, and revealed that she possessed another form while the Namekian suffered his ill effects. The woman's voice sounded as if it emerged from a echo, every bit of mist giving voice to the young woman's words and the mist was spreading to thickly fill every inch of the massive room. Finally Piyano recovered, smearing his saliva laced blood from his arm to his jacket. The green alien noticed that a small pool of his purple life blood had condensed upon Rukia's floor as a result of his hacking, other than apologize however there was nothing the man could do about it for the time being. "Pardon my reaction Ms. Date, the gravity is effecting my harder than I had initially believed." Piyano said wholeheartedly as he pushed himself back to his feet, forcing himself to fight through the small pains and protests of his muscles.
Vision limited by Rukia's mist Piyano took several steps into the all encompassing cloud, his feet seemed unsteady at first but Piyano gradually seemed to be recovering. The Namekian knew he would not fully recover until well after his exposure to the heightened gravity of the room came to a end, but for now Piyano reached out with his hands and his senses to locate Rukia. Coils of fog rolled through Piyano's fingers as he swept his arms back and forth in a futile hope of finding the woman, even worse was the terror revealed to Piyano's heightened KI sensing abilities. Every inch of the expansive mist contained the woman's energy, she truly was the fog, truly had moved on from a physical body to obtain a gaseous form.
Once again Rukia's voice sounded throughout the room, she commented upon Piyano's perception of her form. Pressed for him to continue his attacks on the reasoning that pain could be brought about in more ways than the physical. Piyano wondered if that had been a subtle hint that to stop trying would insult the woman and offer a blow to her emotions? Somehow Piyano doubted that, Rukia always seemed just one step ahead of him and Piyano was truly in the belief that further assaulting the woman was futile. Especially in her current form.
Still struggling to breath Piyano realized that continuing to fight was not a gain less effort however. Although Piyano lacked the capability to inflict damage, the alien replayed the woman's tactics and techniques within his mind. Each part of the pairs training had shown off a little more of each fighters abilities, providing valuable information to each party. Rukia's hyper movements and mist form were skills Piyano could in time adapt to his own style of combat should he strive too. While at the same time the young girl had not displayed a energy based ability of any kind. It occurred to Piyano that the woman may lack such talents and was goading Piyano to continue as a opportunity to learn.
It was just a thought however, and speculation would bring Piyano no where in the end. Knowing the only way to collect answers to his thoughts was to continue on to the end Piyano tried to slow his breathing as he fell into a fighting stance. "The opportunity to meet the others is most kind of you." Piyano began as he concentrated on Rukia's energy, hoping he could strike out at her in some manner. The Namekian had used up his only two KI attacks by this point, and so he decided something else would have to be relied upon instead. "A thought occurs to me? Could you materialize part of your body within my lungs in this form? It would be a most devastating attack should you possess such powers." Piyano asked as he snap kicked his leg out to the left, hoping beyond hope that he would strike something.
Even such a minuscule strike was nearly enough to send Piyano hurtling back to the floor in a fit of coughs. The Namekian endured however, managing to keep his balance in the nick of time. Parading around the room with his eyes sealed in focus Piyano launched several more chops, punches, and kicks in a hope of seeking out Rukia's physical form. All the while the man thought of more questions to ask his hostess, Piyano was a inquisitive man, but he still knew so little about who Rukia truly was to find the right questions to ask. Until Piyano realized there remained one way for him to find out. "I will agree to aid you with your... thirst by the way. Under your promise that I shall remain myself body and mind after." Piyano said, he spoke truthfully, however the Namekian also hoped his words would pull the young vampire back into a more solid form.
What had meant to be a continued attempt to use that whistle technique of hers, had came to an end, as the man had keeled over in pain. That heavy feeling of needing to gasp for air, had disappeared along with it, and was replaced with something even better.
The smell of blood, even in a form like this, was enticing. If she had been in her regular form, the scent of it would have clouded her thoughts more than it was already doing to her. Only the spreading of her mass in this form, kept her at a reasonable control.
It was interesting that the man's blood was purple, rather than the regular red. Earthlings had always been taught that no matter who you were, everyone had the same kind of blood. But whoever had first started that, they couldn't have been more wrong.
While the blood on the floor was proof of this, what those who weren't of her kin didn't know, was that blood tasted differently. It certainly had to do with a person's blood typing, yes, but there was also factors like age, or species as a whole.
The way that man's blood had been coughed out, and left on the floor, was one that non-blood drinkers would be disgusted by. But for her, it didn't matter where blood came from. Drinking it would give the same euphoria as it did with the others.
Only how long it lasted would be any noticeable difference in her body. An apology had been given by the man for his injury, which although he didn't really know, was rather appropriate. For blood like that to be splattered on the floor was such a waste.
Not even the scent it left in the air, nice as it was to her, could really excuse that. Usually when she and her kin had their monthly bouts, they at least had some of the blood splattered on them, where it could be tasted, rather than dried on the floor.
"Oh? Are you already at your limit? I'd rather not have anyone die in this mansion."
It wasn't exactly a response that meant they would stop, but that was the thing. There were plenty of opportunities that she had left throughout this session, where the man could have chosen to rest if he had wanted to. It would be at her displeasure, but nothing that she would truly oppose. Having a death occur in this building, truly was something that she wanted to avoid.
Mostly because this was a place that she considered to be her home away from home. One that she had seen lots of use, more than the one that she had grew up in. Something as special as this did not need something as unfortunate as death to befall it.
He had managed to get up however, and she watched from within as he moved about through this form of hers. What she had said to him about attacking mental, rather than physical exhaustion, was more of another encouragement on seeing his response for this.
She had already done the same tactic to both her two servants, which like the man, responded in different ways. While Sayako had been aggressive and relentless, doing everything she had to draw her out of this form, Maiz had just refused to do so.
He seemed more like he was doing a mix of both, which was more entertaining than just giving up. Having him meet the both of them, was really just a given, for anyone who she invited into this mansion. Not only would it serve as an example, but it would give her reason to bother those two, and trying to get them to properly listen. Making them submit to her was far from being easy.
"It's only right to do so. Those two could use a break from their leisure."
What attempts he had made, much like the others, wouldn't really cause her much damage, mist form or not. She was far above his level, but the fact that he was doing any, was better than nothing at all. These latest attempts, like the others while she had been in this form, would only give her that feeling of needing to gasp for air, and make her form concentrated in one area.
It gave the impression that the mass that was her body, would form together into something more recognizable. Though much like the question he had asked her, it was only all just a possibility. She had yet to meet anyone who could do such a thing to her.
But ruling out that possibility in the first place, was nothing more than a mistake that was waiting to be made. Everything had its limits, and maintaining this form was one of them. Although it was more of a conscious effort, like walking usually was.
"Such a tactic, I've yet needed to explore with my strength. But it would require concentration like anything else."
He had fell down again, though it wasn't like it had been earlier. His body must have been adjusting to what happened, and she knew for sure that it helped not to talk so much, or even control breathing. Getting up didn't seem to be too difficult for him either, and further attempts were made to strike at her, causing the mass that was her body to slowly move towards one point.
Hearing his answer was enough of an indication that she had been in this form long enough. What had once been mist, swirled up into one point like the strikes had been causing, though rather fast, before her form had changed entirely into that of a bat.
While she wasn't exactly rejuvenated in becoming mist, she had conserved a lot more energy than she would, if she was in her regular form. This one was only second best, and against the gravity, a bit more exertion than her normal form.
But the advantage that this had, which her other one didn't, was the ease of her movements. Lighter mass did a lot more to help out her mental strength. Something that was needed by this part of the session, making it more of a battle on who could last longer.
"It's good you've put effort through all of that. Though it's draining, isn't it? While we do have a difference in strength, have you've noticed there was quite the exertion on your part? While it would be at my displeasure, deciding to rest wasn't anything I would have opposed. You've asked what a Vampire was, and this feeling of exhaustion is a good contrast to the euphoria I'm usually filled with. It has given me strength beyond that of a human, although not without a cost."
Her mouth was opened up, and she bared out her fangs. Fresh blood would do her a lot of good in making up for the kind of energy she had gone and used up here. She was looking forward to tasting a request that had been promised to her, unknowingly or not.
"Blood. I only need a drop's worth, although enough to fill a vial would be more pleasing. Had that landed on clothing instead, I would have used it, rather than asking once more. If you'd like more of a measure of good faith, this can be put off until after you personally meet my servants."
No attempts had really been made to flew directly at the man, and after both her advice, along with a confirmation that he was still willing, she had flew on over to the gravity machine. Changing back into her regular form, the thing was turned off, relieving their bodies of the pressure it had caused. Though readjusting back to what was normal, had her pressing against the wall.
This wasn't even considering the repercussions of being under that kind of gravity for so long.
PL: 15,109 Stamina: 3/3 Change from mist to bat Change out of bat to regular form
Rukia asked if Piyano was already at his limit, though it pained the Namekian to admit it the alien knew he had likely reached his limit long ago. Perhaps the man could have handled the gravity for longer if he hadn't been exerting so much effort to spar with his hostess. Perhaps Piyano could have put up a better fight had the room not been attempting to drag his shoulders down to a level even with his knees. In the end Piyano believed both thoughts to be nothing more than excuses on his part. If Piyano had trained harder, been better, than he could have perhaps been upon Rukia's level.
Yet even Rukia's question had not signaled the end, at least not just yet. So Piyano moved about the room slowly and cautiously. levying attacks in any location the man could sense any build up of Rukia's energy. True the woman's essence seemed to be everywhere in the mist, but Piyano focused his melee strikes only on areas with the highest concentration of Rukia's power. In the end the Namekian hit nothing, felt nothing more then mist coil around his fingers. It didn't stop Piyano from trying however, his pride wishing he had found at least one weakness in his sparring partner. No matter how prideful Piyano was however, the man simply couldn't make up for the difference in raw power between himself and Ms. Date.
Out of the mist Rukia continued to speak, only beginning to hint at how little of a effect Piyano's strikes where having. On a happier note however the woman seemed fully intent on having Piyano meet with her two companions. Something the Namekian was greatly looking forward too. Rukia herself had been a rather interesting conversationalist, and Piyano's chance to converse with a Saiyan and a Majin could only provide the man with a greater knowledge of the two races.
"Leisure? Am I too suspect your friends do not train on your level? Or are vampires just naturally this powerful of a race?" Piyano asked after the woman's comment, if neither of Rukia's companions were on her level than what made the young woman so powerful? Piyano had simply believed until this point that Rukia had trained relentlessly to gain her power. It raised the question within Piyano's thoughts, what if vampires were simply powerful? Just how frightening could a horde of vampires provide if they were all equal to Rukia's level. In the end Piyano realized he hoped he would never find out even as he continued to strike the air.
During their conversation Piyano had thought he had sensed Rukia's form slowly gathering together into a single body, but his feelings had been slight at best. Seemingly very suddenly the vast mist coiled and condensed into one place, one location to become... a bat? Piyano was left staring confused at the furry creature that flapped its great wings and hovered in the air of the room. Rukia had hinted at other forms, but this one was equally as unexpected as her last, if not more so. Beginning a lover of nature and the natural world Piyano found himself smiling at Rukia's bat form, finding the woman's new body quiet adorable. What would the girl become next? A wolf cub?
Speaking from her new bat mouth Piyano saw Rukia's tiny fangs flash at him with each word. The woman's voice remained entirely her own even in this form. Piyano found this strange as he would have expected the woman's tone to sound higher in her current body. "I have indeed noticed my exertion. To simply give up on a challenge is not the Namekian way, though I must admit I don't think I have felt this way in some time. Were we to continue I am quite certain I would collapse for good." Piyano said in reply to the girl-turned-bat. Rukia's remaining words did not escape the green alien however, his exertion was a contrast to the young woman's ever present pleasure? Such a statement was not only mind boggling to try and image if true, but was also worrisome. Piyano had been trained that pain was a essential part of life, it warned one of their limits and dangers. To live forever in euphoria seemed unnatural to the mans way of thinking.
Blood proved to be the answer it seemed. A species that consumed the blood of others to survive was far from unheard of. Many insects and several bats on Earth alone consumed blood as a stable for their own existence, and several creatures from Piyano's own planet did the same. Likely every world with life was possessed of some creature that needed to consume of the substance. Piyano found the revealed truth to be distressful, but not altogether unexceptionable. If forced to drink the blood of others to live himself Piyano wasn't so certain he would throw away his life, and since Rukia seemed capable of surviving off such small amounts she likely would never be forced to kill anyone over her thirst. That was Piyano's hope anyway.
"Though not what I had been expecting, all races require a different staple for survival. Do you have a vial I might borrow?" Piyano replied as the bat transformed back into the young woman Piyano had first met. Part of Piyano being so willing came from the fact that he knew Rukia possessed enough power to pin him and drink him dry if she so wished. Her restraint from doing so hinted that some part of her was still a good person, even if she was forced to cannibalize the fluids of others to live.
Caught mid stride when the gravity machine was turned off Piyano nearly leaped into the air with his step as the incredible weight left his shoulders. Seemingly walking in ten times Earth's gravity took the same amount of effort as it did for Piyano to skip in the worlds correct grip upon his person. What would the other levels of the machine be like Piyano wondered? Would times twenty be like having to leap into the air? Would times fifty crush his bones? These were questions for another day however, as Piyano had no desire to suffer the effects of enhanced gravity again this day.
Coming up to Rukia's side Piyano noticed his hostess supporting herself against the wall, and now that the wall was within his own reach its tantalizing allure as a means to support his body was outstandingly strong. With the machine turned off Piyano felt at once as if he was flying and as if he was moments from blacking out. Leaning into the wall himself the Namekian tried once more to focus on his breathing, at least now the task seemed easier. As if the very air was lighter.
"Where to first Ms. Date? Too your companions, or do you require the time to indulge yourself now?" Piyano asked respectfully. Both options would be a new experience for him, and to a Namek like Piyano that was all that mattered in the end.
Putting to words her relationship with her servants, would mean revealing the differences of what had been established with them. There was also the different personalities the two had, and the responses that both would likely give, for what she had planned.
Sayako, her Majin servant, was a girl with colorful language, and a temper to match. Likely waiting in her own room, making the best out of not having a gravity machine around, being requested to do anything, would result in disrespect being shown.
Maiz, on the other hand, was a curious sort that showed amusement. The kind that she recognized as being one to think of herself as superior, which didn't differ too much from the girl's usual stoic face. With confirmation from the Majin, and her own personal observations, she had learned that Saiyans were people who seemed to lack empathy. Things like kindness were seen as weak.
The girl's mindset was a lot more in common with her own, only lacking emotion that wasn't just anger. It was infuriating in a way, since she had long since demonstrated she was stronger than the both of them, but the girl still had her own personal beliefs.
She was likely to be in the living room, where the game consoles were. Whether or not the Saiyan found any pleasure in playing any of the games, or if it was just an objective to overcome, she wasn't quite sure. She only knew they got along a lot better.
"While I wouldn't oppose doing so, that thirst I've mentioned puts me at an unending advantage, yes."
It was great to hear herself in such a positive light. Recognition for her strength, was just one of those aspirations she had for her future, and just how below everyone else was, compared to her kind. If she had been in her regular form, she would be smiling.
Even better was hearing someone admit they weren't as strong as she was. The man's reason for continuing, was one that wasn't new to her, and could be found in her servants, to an extent. Showed just how much line of thinking, tended to differ.
"There's a saying for humans meant to motivate and establish the idea of improving oneself, not being possible without suffering pain in doing so as well. This feeling is just proof of progress."
The actual saying was no pain, no gain. Though compared to how she had phrased it, her words were more elegant and meaningful, than such a brutish phrasing. This talk about how exhausted their bodies would feel at the end of the day however, reminded her how she had yet to buy a healing tank, which would be a lot quicker with recuperation, than any of her forms could ever help with.
Just as costly as the mansion unfortunately, but with the kind of luck that she had possessed so far, gathering the money shouldn't be too much trouble. It wouldn't be through legal means of course, which would take much longer than doing so illegally. And she wasn't the sort to really wait, when it comes to wanting to enjoy the kind of luxury that came with possessing wealth.
"I'm curious what you thought I was hinting at."
An eyebrow had been raised hearing the man had a different thought to what she had meant, as she pulled out an empty vial, from the inside pocket of the fleece jacket she was wearing. While she didn't state so herself, it should have been rather obvious that when it came to transformations, there must have been some kind of magic involved, for her personal wear and belongings to remain intact.
Having regained her balance, the vial had been handed over and taken back again, as soon as it had been filled, while the question of what was next came to light. For him to offer her a choice, was an occurrence she wasn't at all new to either.
Not exactly her preference, the idea of being given a choice, knowing just how this kind of thing imposed. A tactic that some parents used to get their children to agree without a fuss. But she would let it slide, not wanting to exert unnecessary energy.
"We'll meet with the Saiyan first. My indulgence will be needed for the Majin."
Drinking this much blood, and in this context, was just as comparable to downing a shot of alcohol. Only without the ill side-effects. Maiz had been her choice to head towards from the start, though considering their responses was still wise to do.
Her departure from the gravity room, had led down to one of the halls the mansion had, where even before entering through the lavish and wide kitchen, audible noise coming from the flat screen TV could be heard. Sounds of jumping and grunting playing.
A sign that the girl was likely playing that side-scrolling fighting game. The selection had been more of a house-warming gift from her human friends, rather than something she would personally buy herself. But it was still appreciated, like anything else she had.
The living room was just as expansive as any other room in this mansion, possessing a fireplace, and several paned windows which normally gave a nice view of outside. Though the curtains had been drawn, and the only light in the room, was that of the TV.
Lying on the floor on a futon, dressed in a cyan tanktop and shorts, was Maiz, who tapped at the controller's buttons with that of expertise. The clothing the girl wore didn't hide the muscles in the girl's arms and legs at all. While not a body build she would ever aim into getting herself, it was only after meeting the girl, that she realized it still had a certain attractiveness to it.
Parts of what the Saiyan already had, remained feminine, and could draw the attention of anyone who looked the girl's way. Admittedly to herself, more than she ever would hope to have, with the own build she had in mind of possessing in the future.
It didn't help that the girl was only fourteen as well, which was two years younger than she was, and seemed to complete an odd coincidence of a balanced age between all of them. Since Sayako was only about a year older than she actually was.
"Pause it for a second, will you? We need to talk."
Walking over to the girl, she had nudged her at the side with her foot. Some people maybe would have just blocked the girl's view entirely, but she knew from the girl's behavior, she would have just looked past her to finish what she had already started.
The tail that had poked out from the girl's shorts, had stopped swinging around, as a few more taps had been given. She didn't give the screen a look, but from the sounds of it, the girl was likely savoring the hits that she was giving to the AI.
Noise from the TV had stopped after, and the girl sat up cross-legged. There was no look of pleasure from playing the game, and what she had brought up, only brought mild interest in the form of a brief smirk, that led back to the girl's hardened expression.
"I only need another match between us."
She already knew the girl didn't truly care about anything other than fighting, so hearing this wasn't a surprise. Though it was also indication to just go ahead and ask the girl whatever the man might have questions on. But the girl wasn't going to say that.
"You can go ahead and ask anything that you like. Though I'm curious on what you know about Saiyans yourself."
Both hostess and guest leaned into the mansion walls for support as they talked, Rukia giving voice to the truth that her status as a vampire gave her far more power than her companions. This was a interesting development to Piyano's way of thinking as Saiyans were known throughout the galaxy for their strength and power. Such traits were actually almost the only thing the race was known for since their resurgence throughout space several hundred years ago, as strength and power seemed to be the only important thing in Saiyan society. At least that was what Piyano had been lead to believe growing up on Namek.
As for Rukia claiming to be more powerful than her Majin companion, Piyano would just have to believe the young woman. Piyano had always heard that Majin's possessed vast mystical abilities and powers, but the Namekian had never truly met one before or seen what they were capable of. Perhaps Sayako was more of a supporter for Rukia's group as opposed to a front line combatant? Such a roll had to be filled by someone on the battle field, even Piyano himself was technically classified as a support type due to his gifts of healing and telepathy. Piyano blinked rapidly as his thoughts continued down the path of Rukia and her friends fighting as a team. A trio with the girl's wide range of heritages would not only be a powerful force, but also versatile beyond imagination.
Piyano knew a part of him would love to see such a display of unique origins coming together one day. The Namekian could only hope that he didn't witness the display first hand if he ever did. Smiling at the thought of what these three young women could become in the future, and hoping it would be a force for good, Piyano was pulled from his thoughts as Rukia referenced a human saying about putting forth effort. Having never before heard the phrase no pain no gain Piyano simply believed Rukia had word for word created the human saying. The woman's words sounded elegant and meaningful, as if great care had been put forth to craft such a motivational speech. "Those are good words. I never would have thought humans could come up with that. I've noticed most Earthlings just pick and say the fastest option whenever possible." Piyano replied through his breathing, which was slowly grown more controlled as the man utilized Namekian breathing techniques to help him recover.
Steering the conversation as a question came to the young woman, Rukia asked after what Piyano had believed the young woman had meant when she had first brought up her thirst to Piyano? The Namek was left scratching his head as he reached out to except the empty vial the woman offered him. "I guess at first I took your meaning of thirst to be metaphorical?" Piyano said taking the small vial in hand and uncorking the stopper placed upon the top. "Than the more we spoke I began to take your meaning in a more literal sense. At one point I suspected you intended to drain me of my life force... which I guess in a round about manner you are." Piyano finished with no sign of judgement or fear in his voice. The Namekian had grown comfortable enough around Rukia to believe the girl wouldn't simply slaughter him, and therefore felt he could speak his mind freely.
Extending a single clawed finger Piyano gently sliced open the palm of his right hand, pressing his claw just deeply enough to surge forth a thick stream of purple blood. Wiping his claw on his coat the Namekian turned his palm over above the opened vial and pressed his small bleed into the glasses lip. The vial filled slowly at first, but by applying pressure to either side of his hand in a pinching manner Piyano was able to speed the flow along until the vial was filled. Taking care to re-cork the glass device Piyano sucked on his palm for several moments until his bleeding lessened. The alien knew his physiology would close the tiny wound soon enough anyway, he simply didn't wish to bleed all over Rukia's lovely home.
When the task was done the Namekian handed the filled vial back to his hostess. Rukia seemed to believe a meeting with Maiz would be the proper course of action for the pair to undertake first. Rukia's words about requiring her indulgence before meeting with Sayako stood out to Piyano, either the Majin was very tiresome... or the girl simply possessed a high level of caution to be around. The Namek found himself wondering which one it would prove to be. "Than to your Saiyan friend we shall go." Piyano said happily as the pair walked out of the gravity controlled training room, Piyano very glad to no longer have to worry about the machine turning back on and crushing his bones to jelly.
Guided through the mansion halls Piyano was once again reminded of the wealth and power Rukia most command. Was the girl descendant from a rich and powerful family? Or had the young woman found success all on her own? Either way Piyano's gaze turned to every piece of finery the pair walked past as they headed towards a dark room with blinding flashes of light surging forth at odd intervals. Passing into a gargantuan living space Piyano learned that the flashes of light came from a giant device he believed to be called a television. Piyano had seen the item in question in stores in North City before, although never so large. Namek did not have televisions however and the display was incredible to Piyano.
Seated before the large screen was a young woman dressed in a bright cyan and brown shirt and shorts. Oblivious to the approach of Rukia and Piyano the Saiyan girl furiously fiddled with a object in her hands, Piyano was new to such devices but from the girls focus Piyano quickly drew a connection that Maiz used the device to control what happened on the screen. The young Saiyan woman was possessed of greater mass than young Rukia, Piyano noticed. Muscles lining the girls arms and legs that while not close in size to Piyano's own, far exceeded the Namekian's hostess. On it own such physicality meant nothing, but Piyano was forced to remember Rukia's age. If Maiz was as young or younger than the vampire, than the girl would grow into a truly shapely Saiyan adult one day.
With Maiz busy playing her game Ruika took a direct approach and drawing her friends attention with a foot to the girls side. The game came to a paused screen than where nothing moved and the light dimmed slightly as Rukia and Maiz shared a interaction. Unsurprisingly the Saiyan girl seemed to wish a confrontation with Rukia. By the end Rukia gave the floor over to Piyano to ask anything that he may wish to learn. "I am sure my education of Saiyan's is far from complete. I know them to be warriors, I know that they have recovered greatly throughout the galaxy since some calamity befell their original home planet many centuries ago." Piyano replied whilst looking Maiz over, the contrast between the Saiyan and the Vampire was so different to behold. Yet Piyano suspected Sayako would be even more out there than the pair before him.
"I suppose I am curious to know how you two met? Or why Maiz didn't choose to train with us, you seem highly capable of holding your own against the both of us." Piyano said, both curious but also wishing to see how Maiz would react. Especially since Piyano could easily read the Saiyan's power level with his senses. maiz was no slouch, but she was not on Rukia's level just yet.
When it came to decisions, earthlings weren't exactly the type to waste time. Their long history of fighting against each other, was proof of just how much and how often they got into conflicts, which could have likely been solved with proper mediation.
The man being able to recognize that was a good thing, especially when his words had been phrased in a way that it was only most earthlings, instead of all. To be lumped in with the idiots was a comparison that she would not have enjoyed at all.
Her intellect might not have been that of a prodigy, but with reasoning, along with time and effort put in, she was surely on par with the best of them. It was better to be decent at several things anyway, rather than just excelling at one thing entirely.
"Very true, as unfortunate as it is. However, there have been events where quick has been useful."
In the same way that conflicts brought trouble, it could also get one out of trouble. Earth's military, while a good speech could do wonders in casting off any doubts, there were times when all one needed was permission to get through a conflict.
These were times that were filled with rage, of which no words could truly stop. It was only through a person's own satisfaction of something, that this anguish could be relieved. Any guilt and torment that came from it, she personally observed was only temporary.
Now that the extra gravity they had experienced was gone, it became easier to breathe, and just as easy to adjust to normal walking. At least, to an extent. While she wasn't damaged that much, there were still parts of her body that was visibly healing.
Just taking off the gravity alone, also didn't relieve what exertion was put onto her body, while having it active. Their training session was likely comparable to lifting the heaviest of weights, only rather than focus on just one part of the body, it was all.
"Aspirations are quite different from reality. It is only time and my education halting further growth."
If her words would have been a metaphorical thirst, she would have shown as much violence as either of her servants. Possessing a building like this, and greeting a guest with such hospitality, there needed to be someone with refined behavior around here.
Though proud to have gotten what she wanted, she had expected this result in the first place. Her reward and only display, was a pleased smile, as the smell of blood had filled the air once more. One where her fangs was briefly retracted out.
It actually had been a good hour or so since she had tasted blood. Not certainly enough for her to keel over in pain, or go through a blood frenzy, but rather more of desiring a snack. But it was one that could wait for a further reward of accomplishment.
The vial was given a bit of a shake, and her eyes had given the contents and intrigued look, before it was pocketed away. A small reminder that she had yet to taste her pink-fleshed servant's own blood, which a similar color to the man's own.
A process she was working on, with not much really stopping her, other than her own enjoyment she had such control over the girl. Because it should have been rather obvious of those who lived in this household, how she could take it by force if she wanted to.
The girl's ability to lose form of her body wasn't enough to stop her, with the right speed. Not to mention, now that Maiz was around, it would be two against one, should that route ever be taken. She expected her number of minions to grow by the year's end.
Coming to where Maiz was, the younger girl's behavior was both pleasing and detesting. Her way of getting the girl's attention, was one the girl didn't seem to mind. She knew the girl had said she was a lower class warrior, but there was nothing more than that hardened expression. A contrast to what would have happened with Sayako, who no doubt would have been obviously displeased.
That fight was something she liked. It would be difficult to find a balance in having the girls fear her power, and still have the same drive to fight, when she had ordered it. Maybe mind control was something that the wish granting dragon could solve for her.
As the man had revealed what he knew, along with what he didn't know, she had put aside her own thoughts on the matter, as her eyes watched the younger girl. There was no line of proper respect shown to what the girl didn't care for, which she had hoped focusing on her would have solved. But even after the man had started talking, the girl still kept her eyes on her, rather than on the man.
"I've put up a fight more than the Majin did, didn't I?"
The words were said more in a way that was meant to brag, than something that would answer the man's question. She had still refrained from saying anything just yet, only frowning. The girl's expression didn't change from her showing displeasure either.
"We should go back there when we get the chance. Show the others how weak they are."
Again, the man's question had been ignored, and it was only her own knowledge, that filled her in on what the girl was talking about. She wanted to go back at the Southern Islands, and show off how strong she had gotten to whatever of her kin was still there.
If not for the girl finally giving the man a glance, she would have said something right then and there. But what the girl had already mentioned, wasn't at all something which she couldn't have lead up to in explaining herself. She preferred to, really.
"There's nothing I don't already know enough of you Namekians. The human likely already talked her ear off."
As soon as the girl had finished, her attention was back onto her, which only made that hardened expression of hers, even more insulting. Cheeky brat. She wanted the girl to talk, and the girl had done so, but in her own way. It was smart, but she doubted was something that was done on purpose. The girl didn't care enough for that. This was just a barely teenager talking.
There was still also the girl's habit of not distinguishing that she was better than a human. Where the only reason which the younger girl seemed proud of, is that she was from space, rather than born on a planet her people had compared to dirt.
"Ignore her behavior. It might not seem like it, but she's still more agreeable than the Majin."
Compared to the pink-fleshed girl, she at least did what she was told. The other girl would just strike her ears with that language of hers, and likely throw a bunch of accusations or questions. Which was also smart, but she didn't like being questioned that way.
"Just go clean up and entertain yourself in the gravity room. I'll send the Majin along later."
That seemed to be what the girl wanted to hear, as she got up and shut off the game, picking up whatever discarded trash she had left. A reminder to check the food supply in this mansion, knowing the girl's people had quite a seemingly insatiable appetite.
The girl being gone didn't really matter. After the gesture of her hand, which had changed to her crossing her arms, she had already started walking to where the Majin's room was. Unlike the Saiyan, who had practically slept in the living room, than what was actually given to her, the pink-fleshed girl had slept on one of the rooms on the second floor for whatever reason.
"What she was saying earlier, is that we met in the Southern Islands. We fought, since she wouldn't listen to what I was asking of her, but it was a purposely tie. She wants to go back and show off against the Saiyans around there, probably because she's fourteen, and still acts more like a kid than she looks."
She wasn't above saying no to such a request. But it wouldn't be until she was done studying all of these different groups. And even then, she at least wanted to figure out if she could make the attacks that she witnessed, something of her own.
"As for why she didn't join us, it's because she knew we would be talking. While Sayako doesn't like talking to people in general."
It didn't really mean she couldn't force them to participate, since the two both liked fighting, though they would need the push to do so. She didn't know anyone who would purposely put up with that they didn't like, and they were better off without them anyway.
"And the whole human thing is just her not caring enough to differentiate."
She would rather not admit that she used to be human, since that was something of the past. And one that was full of weaknesses, rather than something that would be insightful. No, it was better to tell people unaware she had always been a vampire.
"I would like to get Sayako to demonstrate her abilities if I can. Though it'll take some persuasion."
