Amenbo Island was the largest lone isle to be found in the southern lands of planet Earth, and it's capital city of Sasebo City was a technological marvel for any person of any species to behold. The city had at some point in its past dedicated all of its resources to the increase of human technology, and while the Capsule Corporation may still be the top dog on this planet. The second, third, forth, and fifth best tech companies had started here on Amenbo Island. Hover vehicles zipped all about the strange city, robots and androids lined every street as well. In this one place Piyano had come to notice more modified earthlings than any other city he had ever visited on the small blue planet. One such android was why Piyano had come to the island this beautiful sunny day, the Namekian was scheduled to 'have lunch' with a good friend of his. Model .99. The thought of meeting his friend was pleasant for the Namekian as he had not seen the mechanical woman in months, not since they had saved each others lives on a job for 99's parent company. The 'lunch' part though would surely be weird as neither of the individuals actually consumed food.
Shrugging off the strange thought Piyano wondered the city until his meeting, the Namek had at least another two hours before 'lunch' and so had decided to kill time buy exploring the incredible technological displays put on every corner of Sasebo. With each business trying to out sell their immediate competitors in the area Piyano was treated to a wondrous free show wherever he walked. One inventor had a giant combat mecha on display, so too did the man across the street from him. This pair resulted in a giant robot slap fight being performed by strange old men with control sticks. People in the crowd stopped to watch the show and laugh without the slightest bit of concern as such things happened all the time on Amenbo Island.
Further into his walk Piyano stumbled across a man trying to sell personal energy shields, the zoanthrope boar man claimed his shield could deflect any attack below two hundred Jules in power. This standard of measurement was unknown to the Namekian so he stuck around to watch the show as the man pointed blasters at a dummy armed with his shielding tech. A purple field of force absorbed the blaster shot into itself entirely, next the man moved to toss a grenade at the shield, something which startled the small crowd around the man to grow uneasy. Piyano prepared himself to catch any shrapnel that would fall over the crowd but when the device exploded all its metal ends seemed to freeze in midair and were drawn into the scientists purple shield. Magnetic waves had caught the metal and sucked all the force of the weapon into his safety energy shield. The crowd cheered and clapped at the masterful device, even Piyano found himself joining in the applaud, glad no one had been hurt from the mans reckless display.
It was when Piyano was preparing to move on to the next display that the Namekian's sense alerted him to a high power level moving through the area, it was at least enough to put the standard human to shame. The Namekian also knew he wasn't sensing someone such as 99, her android energy was untraceable to Piyano's abilities. Checking himself to make sure his own power level was still suppressed, a trick the Namekian had learned from a Wuxjing assassin who had failed to kill him, Piyano moved off to find the wandering source of this mystery power level just to make sure they were here in Sasebo to watch or shop as apposed to steal or hurt others. Piyano had met many good people here on Earth, but many of the more powerful people he had met were of a corrupted weal.
Negi had finally decided he'd take up exploring the planet in moderation. He wouldn't show off or make himself a known presence this time. No, he'd blend in as it would. If he was going to exist on this planet, he may as well have had taken it into consideration that it would be far more beneficial to be a part of the world and it's people. Granted, to him, that simply meant shutting up and dressing like an average Human man. Surprisingly the clothes he had picked up were pretty comfortable. A simple, but still nice looking brown jacket. A black tank top beneath it, with black pants wrapped around his waist and covering his legs. His standard Saiyan boots sitting on his feet. It looked like a decent fit. His jacket was fitted to be ridiculously heavy, of course. That went without saying, honestly. Outfit aside, where had Negi found himself this time around? Well, he hadn't known for quite some time. Eventually figuring out he was located on the island known as Amenbo Island. An area characterized by its numerous inhabitants and Earthlings. Shops and communities littered about. It seemed Negi was in the shop, merchant side of things. As he wandered about, it seemed as though everyone was trying to sell something.
Negi had then walked around the same area as the unfamiliar Namek. A zoanthrope bear showing off some kind of high-tech shield. Capable of deflecting everything and anything! He then went on to talk about some kind of foreign measurement that Negi, frankly, did not really care about. No, he'd just humiliate this guy. "Let me see? I wanna try somethin'." He'd shout. Stepping into a rather large crowd of spectators. Standing dead center before the scientist and his machine. Flicking his index finger outwards, Negi released a relatively small blast of Ki towards the shield. Of course, it had been absorbed right there. He'd gas this foolish human up. Again, he sent another small orb. This one causing a bit of knockback, making the man and his shield slide back only an inch or two. Gasps, murmurs and whispers around the crowd piping up. Shuffling his feet apart, the Saiyan made finger guns. Childish, yes, but it looked like fun. He began a series of shots, each being absorbed into the shield like nothing. Not bad for human engineering. "Now," He grunted, holding his left wrist and aiming his finger gun for the shield. Firing out a baseball-sized orb of Ki into the shield. It bashed into the device, causing a puff of smoke to explode. The shield turning off from what seemed to be overheating and damage. The crowd didn't jeer or boo, though. No, they simply conversed and cheered for the scientist over Negi. The scientist was visibly flustered, though. As he hadn't seen such abilities out of a relatively human looking man. Negi's goal had been achieved, nonetheless. The man was embarrassed despite the crowd of easily manipulated humans cheers and applause for his strides in technology.
Blowing on his index fingertip, Negi stepped out of the crowd and continued exploration ver Amenbo Island. Curious as to what else he'd find. He hadn't been wearing his scouter, though. He wasn't aware of the powerful Namekian within vicinity. Though, had he been noticed, he wouldn't have had necessarily minded all that much. Attention from powerful beings was more than welcome with someone like him.PL: 45,398 Heavy Weighted PL: 11,394 WC: 581

As it turned out Piyano didn't have to travel very far, or any distance at all really, to find the trigger for his KI sensing abilities. Before the Namek even managed to politely excuse himself from the crowd a man announced himself and barged onto the scientists stage. Turning to watch the spectacle Piyano was shocked to realize that he had met this stranger before. It had been at the coronation ceremony of planet Earth's newest queen. This man as well as a second Saiyan had been causing a disturbance at the event. The Namekian tried to recall what else had happened that distant day but he lost his train of thought when the familiar Saiyan began firing blasts of energy into the scientists experimental energy shield. Worry spread over Piyano's features along with the rest of the crowd as this spiky haired man levied shot after shot of energy into the scientists shield, thankful the energy was all absorbed or dissipated into the strange device so far.
Seening his first barrage defeated the Saiyan popped his fingers like a child might when playing with false firearms and fired off several more blasts before ending with a finisher, a small melon sized orb of pure KI that struck the shield and forced the technology to fizzle out and die on the spot. Thick smoke billowed from the scientists shielding device and the human collapsed into a chair panting from the event which had just tested his machinery to their limits. The human had survived however and the crowd cheered for the scientist and his successful display, true his device failed in the end, but it had saved his life. When the Saiyan turned away and started to leave Piyano gave one final glance at the stunned scientist, humans from the crowd now stepping on stage to check the older man over. Trusting the human to the care of his own kind Piyano too departed from the crowd to track after this Saiyan who had just put on a possibly life ending game for all people in the street to see.
Following Negi proved to be too easy, the humans nearby the event willfully moved out of his path hoping to avoid the Saiyan's ire. With no one surrounding the man Negi was easy to spot and simply walk a few yards back from even without Piyano having to resort to sensing the Saiyan's KI signature. Only when the Saiyan reached a area with a less dense throng of shoppers and tourists did Piyano finally say something to grab at the Saiyan's attention, Piyano wanted as few regular humans around as possible when he confronted the man. Negi's actions had been dangerous after all, what if the shield had fail earlier? A single KI blast would have killed the old inventor. What if the man's shield had the unexpected side effect of reflecting energy? A errant rebound could have exploded in the middle of the crowd. This Saiyan either didn't realize, or simply didn't care, and Piyano wasn't comfortable with either option.
"Why would you risk lives like that?" came Piyano's strong voice from behind the Saiyan, his tone clearly accusatory of the Saiyan's actions. "Do you even know how dangerous a stunt you just pulled?"
Negi had stopped dead in his tracks upon hearing his Namekian stalker confront him. His hands had been shoved into the pockets of his jacket, and the collar up enough to cover some of his cheek. This way, so that when he turned his head ninety degrees to the right, his mouth was shielded but his black eyes aimed to pierce those of Piyano's. In the Saiyans mind, gears had been churning and rotating. Words formulating, polished and prepared for outward speech. It was obvious Negi was going to be blunt and answer. But, first, he wanted to get a lay of the land with the Namek. From the few times he had seen him prior, he had learned little and had a very, very vague understanding of him. That upset Negi. A potential enemy, ally, friend, acquittance, anything, that he didn't know about intimately offered chance for sudden revelations and actions to come at him abruptly. He hated risking that. Waiting a moment for Piyano to finish his dialogue, Negi opened his lips to talk.
"Dangerous?" He repeated. "The only thing dangerous was how that man flaunted his device as if it was invincible. I was just proving it wasn't." Negi smiled, now. Though, Piyano couldn't see it, the shift of his jaw and cheeks could probably show the curve of his lips. "Not just that, but I'm pretty sure I helped him. Now he can make it stronger." The male added, noticeably satisfied with himself and his thoughts that this would justify his actions. His smile dropped back to a solemn frown after, though. As he turned and faced Piyano fully. Eyes darting about to make sure there were Earthlings about. This way, he wouldn't just do something irrational. "Besides," Negi started. Tilting his head a tad, eyebrows cocked inquisitively. "Why do you care? I'm pretty sure, like me, you're not from here. Chances are, you're straight out of Namek. Who are you, some kind of knight for these people?" The Saiyan pressed. His tone forward and straight. Piyano could likely see how much of a Saiyan he was being. At that wasn't exactly a good thing. From then on, Negi proceeded to walk closer to his green opposition. Standing roughly three feet away after a good few seconds of walking. This Saiyan had known exactly what he did, and didn't care. In his eyes, head and in the mindset he and his race had been conditioned to accept, his actions weeded out weaklings and they showed falsehood when it was displayed. What was strange was how calm Negi was. He wasn't as boisterous or quick to fisticuffs as he normally would have had been or how Saiyans usually were portrayed. This Namek wasnt seeking a duel, and Negi wasn't seeking one either. If anything, he just wanted some laughs and to explore.
The Saiyan froze at the sound of Piyano's voice, whether it was because he had recognized Piyano from their earlier meetings or because Piyano felt confident the man hadn't noticed his approach Piyano couldn't begin to guess. Truth be told the Namekian didn't care either, all that mattered now was that the pair of them had it out right here and now. On several occasions Piyano had witnessed this man, this one Saiyan display reckless behavior that could have resulted in injury or death of another... and Piyano was tired of it. The spiky haired Saiyan turned his head to look Piyano's direction, his high collar was popped in a way that hide most of the mans facial features. Negi's eyes could be seen though, and he bore a hot stare right at the Namekian. Piyano didn't back down in the slightest from the man's gaze, the green alien did not intend a fight with this Saiyan, not unless attacked first at least. Yet that didn't mean Piyano would simply stand aside anymore at Negi's seeming lack of concern for peoples lives.
Eventual Negi replied back with sour words about the human being his own source of danger, the Saiyan's view on the situation seemed terrible askew to Piyano. The human hadn't been flaunting his device as invincable, it was a first step towards creating something. A shield that could protect hundreds, sure the Namek knew the humans technology wasn't going to survive against powerful aliens. The energy shield could work wonders against blasters and bullets however, who knew just how many lives could have been saved from a gunshot? Negi didn't perceive things that way however, in his mind every person should be as strong as him, all weapons of a power equal to his own. Piyano was beginning to realize that Negi at least, if not all Saiyans, simply didn't understand the ways of a society. The Saiyan ended his response by stating he had helped the human, now he could make it better. "Do you even hear yourself when you speak? What if your blasts had killed him, for all you know that man could one day invent a shield powerful enough to prevent planets from exploding!? Errantly risking life only kills advancement of a species." Piyano responded, his voice unshaken and calm. He truly believed his words just as clearly as Negi believed in his own.
Negi turned to face him fully than, Piyano caught the man's glance around the market. Ensuring that he felt Piyano wouldn't attack him with all the humans currently present. The Namek had no intention of assaulting this Saiyan anyway, though he took comfort in the fact that Negi felt the need for a safety net. Truth was Piyano could attack Negi in ways that would never damage the crowd or the surrounding area, not everything in combat had to involve a big bang after all. The Saiyan came at Piyano than with words and judgement of his own, yet Negi's questions didn't quite have the impact the young Saiyan was likely expecting. "Yes I am of Namek, and my planet teaches that all life is valuable. I know not what a 'knight' is, but if I must stand up for these people or any other people than I will." Piyano answered knowing in his heart his words to be true. "Many of your own people still live on this planet, yourself included. Should they require aid, require a knight. Would you so willfully let them perish?" Piyano asked.
Negi's eyes narrowed as he listened to the peace-monger. His brows moving and adjusting themselves as he processed everything being conveyed to him. Essentially, the Namek was very upset with the Saiyan for potentially endangering the scientist. And he most certainly didn't approve of how little regard he had for the safety of the man. "Of course I hear myself speak," He said. He knew what the Namekian meant by the phrase, but figured an honest and literal answer would progress things faster. "What if my blasts killed him." He repeated, tossing his question right back at him. "Maybe one day he can invent something so huge. He especially can now, with the lesson I gave him." Negi tacked the comment on, a smug look on his face for a moment. His eyes fixated on Piyano's. Looking for a break in character or a break in his cool and collected composure. Namekians were extremely fantastic at containing themselves and refraining from unneeded outbursts. He'd like to have seen if this one could as well.
"Huh,"
Negi looked entertained but remained serious even then. "Risking life just opens up for advancement," He protested. "Natural selection, evolution. The stronger survives." He growled, defending his beliefs just as his opposition did theirs. Piyano had told him what he already knew: Saiyans lived here as well. Some were domesticated, some refugees and some still as they were on their home planets. Negi seemed to be a little strong on this subject. "Should they require help, I'll offer it. But just so much as they need. A weak Saiyan who constantly requires an aid is one I simply cannot help. Only then." He took a step forward and held his hand out conversationally. "Only then, I'd let them die on the battlefield willingly. And I'd look them dead in their lifeless eyes right after." He continued. "It's just what Saiyans like me do. It's who we are." Negi shook his head, honesty behind his words.
“Though,” Negi said after pausing for a second or so. “I make exceptions. If they won me over, or I just plain like them. They've earned my continued support throughout thick and thin. But..relationships like those are finite and just limited for people like us. People who kill and fight for the hell of it, for the thrill. You're brothers going to get destroyed eventually.” Negi said these things, things that Earthlings or other races who bore compassion would have trouble saying, with relative ease. His smile not cracking and his tone inciting nothing but true belief in himself. Who could blame him? His Saiyan genes were strong and not a single gene was recessive in the least.
“I realize Namekians adore life and find solace in it when things are looking down.” He commented. “But, I know there are billions of people in the universe. What's a few bodies?”

The direct approach that Piyano was attempting to use on Negi was being met with mixed results. By plainly stating his thoughts right to the Saiyan Piyano had caught the spiky haired mans attention, but the meaning behind his words struck Negi like a leaf falling upon the surface of a lake. Everything the Namekian said just kind of floated on the top of Negi's thoughts, nothing truly seeming to sink down deep into the Saiyan warriors cultivated ideals. Negi came at Piyano directly, he claimed he heard himself speak. Piyano could only hope that such a statement wasn't true, Negi than threw his question back in Piyano's face. What the Saiyan probably hadn't expected was that Piyano would have a response ready for him. "Than this planet would have lost someone seeking to help his people progress beyond their current means. You would have killed a source of strength for them." Piyano calmly retorted. Negi than exclaimed that the human could indeed now potentially build a device that could shield the planet from harm, thanks to Negi's 'assistance'. This forced a sigh from Piyano, Negi's smug face didn't help with the frustration Piyano felt building in his temples. "Your brazen claims will not work on me. We both know you lack the power to destroy a planet, perhaps a city, but that is all." the Namekian said stoically, he wasn't meaning insult with the statement but Piyano could sense this Saiyans power and he was no where near a level to destroy worlds.
Looking greatly entertained with himself Negi went on a tangent to explain how risking life, evolution, and survival of the fittest could push a species to the limits of natural power. Shaking his head at the bold claim that he knew to be wrong Piyano sighed once more. Evolution was a slow process obtained over generations, one man killing another would provide no evolutionary strength to anyone. At least not in the way Negi was spouting on about. "You say all this, yet you live on a whole with Ants, creatures far older than either of our species, that survive as a community. No one ant solves the problems of a colony." Piyano replied, it was a simple argument, but one founded in fact. "So you would help your own race until they prove themselves helpless, than watch them die all the same?" Piyano asked aloud in shock, first at the Saiyan's racism, than at his lack of concern for even his own peoples lives. To hear that Saiyan's lived such lives was simply disgusting to the Namekian.
Negi attempted something cold than, the Saiyan told Piyano a simple truth of the universe. That one day all of the Namekian's friends and family would die, that only warriors such as 'themselves' deserved true assistance and help over the course of their lives. Being compared to this Saiyan brought raw rage to Piyano, it filled his mind with thoughts of striking Negi than and there. He didn't however, such a outrage would only prove the cocky Saiyans words. "Yes, one day my brethren will die. That day however will only come after my death, as my strength will always be put forth toward the goal of protecting my kin." Piyano replied honestly. No matter the Namekian, weak or strong, Piyano would fight to support his people. The green man honestly didn't understand why Negi didn't feel the same way.
Negi’s eyes and mouth seemed to straighten and become more firm as he listened to Piyano’s audible concern, disgust and dismay with how willingly and open to disregarding allies were for Negi and his heritage. It wasn't something he could help. Or, maybe he could. “Compassion isn't something we're taught. Sorry.” Negi stated, shaking his head slowly. His words rolling off of his tongue and leaving his mouth smoothly. As if this was something he had grown comfortable and proficient st explaining to foreigners and those who knew nothing of Vegeta, or even just Saiyan, customs. Simply put, they were not nice people. It was rare for a ‘good’ Saiyan to be made without modifications, accidents or anything among those ideas. A cold truth that other aliens seemed to either have a very good grasp or a dangerous sliver of hope it wasn't true.
“You say that now,” Negi said once. “They always say that. ‘I'll be the one to keep everyone safe’ or ‘No one will die until I'm dead.’” Negi said, now with disgust and a bit of sorrow for the Namek. The poor slug man thought he could protect everyone and everything. “Youre just making a larger burden on yourself. When everything falls, you'll feel nothing but hatred for yourself for failing.” Negi said, believing himself true. “But..do what makes you happy, Namek.”

Negi squared himself before Piyano and seemed to be attempting to make his own words into some acceptable fact of life. Saiyans were not raised to care about others, seemingly not anyone, including their own children and families. Negi ended his words with a simple statement than, and it was a grouping of words Piyano could not believe he was hearing come from a living creatures mouth. "You weren't taught compassion?" Piyano said aloud slowly after Negi's response. The Namekian could only shake his head at how truly lost this Saiyan was. Compassion was a emotion, a feeling of life itself. No one had to teach a mother to love their child, no one taught loyalty or honesty. Just like compassion these were feelings that developed entirely on their own in most creatures with a heart and a soul. "Perhaps such a lack of compassion is why Vegeta is no more than." Piyano replied, knowing it was a spiteful thing to say, but also not caring. If Negi's proud Saiyan heritage would only allow him to feel pride and anger than let Piyano wound them both with his words.
The Saiyan ridiculed him than, insulting Piyano for his belief that the strong should fight for the weak. He made claims that it was just a larger burden for Piyano to struggle upholding, Piyano could not deny that it would indeed be a struggle. Just as he could not deny that people would die, Piyano knew deep down that he could not save every life he would set his mind to protecting. The Namekian however didn't care, feeling sorrow and dread at the loss of another is what he and all others should feel when such failure comes their way. The day Piyano grew comfortable allowing innocent people to die in his stead was the day Piyano hopefully would possess the strength to kill himself instead. "Your right, I would feel hatred in those moments. Yet that hatred can push me to be better, try harder the next time. You would simply give up? What have you to fight for other than yourself?" Piyano asked sternly, truly hoping to hear a answer from Negi. For the man to acknowledge something or someone other than himself.
"If you truly feel your way is best than prove it. Show me the strength of caring for no one but yourself, and I'll show you just how limiting such a existence is." Piyano stated than, no anger in his tone. Just a true sense of regret for the Saiyan standing before him. With any luck Piyano could change the man's point of view away from such a dark road. If Piyano was being honest with himself however, he doubted he could.
PWC: 456 TWC: 2821 PL: 75,467 MWC: 37,733 No longer suppressing his power level
"No," Negi said coldly. "I wouldn't need to encounter such a situation. Because I refuse to burden myself with the job of caring for others and getting attached." His words oozing with some kind of "off" tone. "Like I said, we're not taught compassion or any weak emotions." He confirmed once again, his eyes traveling now. Looking from Piyano to the ground then to the sky before settling on the ground once again. He had begun to actually listen to this Namekian's words. Rather than allow them to pass from one ear, out the other. They had been registering in his brain, each word analyzed. Every question and counterstatement read multiple times in order to grasp meaning. Negi realized how disgusted and shocked the Namekian was, but now he was truly getting it. If such a claim made sense, anyways. The male shook his head, walking further towards the gargantuan green man. Their height showing clear difference as Negi was required to raise his chin and look up at the Namekian. His eyes narrow and his heart beating. A slight, melancholic aura surrounding him. Negi having gone totally silent for a good few seconds. His heart and brain working in tandem with one another to prepare a good retort. Or, simply just a reply. Piyano's statement having attacked his pride and, while he'd never admit, his feelings. Not in the sense of being teased, but simply being referenced to something that decimated his planet and people. All the speak of his people being unfeeling and immune to sorrow and the like seemed to be revealed as false. While it hadn't shown in his face, Negi's overall person appeared to radiate revenge, hunger, want, sorrow. All from knowing the simple fact that regaining his planet was nigh impossible with how he currently was. He knew. He knew all too well that he wouldn't be able to regain Vegeta. Not now, and not soon. It upset him. Severely, at that.
"But," He began. "If that was ever the case: I wouldn't give up. Not then. The hatred I'd feel for myself would just be bottled up. Then I'd let it consume me." He continued. "And with that consumed hate, I'd kill anything and anyone who got in the way of my vengeance." His what-if was quite grim and morbid. While Piyano would convert it into positive drive, Negi's was the polar opposite. He'd use it to kill until his burden was lifted from his shoulders and he was permitted to be at ease. No matter the cost. "Vegeta isn't around anymore because the people defending it were weaklings. They lacked the composition to keep our home and failed us." Negi blamed the Saiyans who were fighting to keep their home. A very strange thing to do. Did he really believe the things coming out of his mouth? Or, were they false? Was he trying to assume some kind of facade? Was Negi that eager to contain his pride and shield it from destruction? Or further destruction, for the matter? Who knew. He was a Saiyan. An excuse that he became far too used to using when confronted for his actions. Negi's arms had come across his chest, folding over one another as his chin lowered and he stared toward the ground.
"I have things to fight for other than myself," Negi was sure of it. "Like.." His voice quieted after a second. Scratch the previous statement. He wasn't sure of it. He had never really given it much thought. Was was he fighting for? More than simply his planet's sake. Was there a someone? A somewhere? Anything? "Like, Vegeta," Negi stated his planet. Piyano likely figured he'd say that and nothing more. And, to be brutally honest, he was correct for thinking so. Negi had hit a mental wall. "I have nothing more to fight for." His words exited his mouth hesitantly. "Aside from myself and my planet. I have no reason to fight for anything or anyone." Negi restated, his voice radiating defeat momentarily. But, said defeat would be replaced by sudden bravado. "People would get in my way, anyway. It would waste my time and completely take way from my own personal training if I worried about others. The time it would take to worry and hope for the safety of an ally is the same amount of time that could be spent inside of a training center, sweating and bleeding from growth." There he went again. Shrouding his sorrow with selfishness and a sense of security and the idea that his beliefs were true despite how awful they could have sounded. Negi had taken a few steps back, turning to face Piyano once more. His last demand registered. Negi faced with a choice.
"Show him that I believe my own principles or give him a chance to show me some kind of light he seems so confident in.." Negi had thought to himself in silence.
The people around them had seemed to cease in existence around him. For once, Negi was thinking about the consequences and results his morals could lead him to. Did the risk outweigh the reward? Or was it a waste and completely not worth it? Was his pride such a driving force for him, that he would cast his own personal safety and that of others aside so that his opponent could be forced to grovel at his feet? In other cases, the thought would make Negi think and smile at the thought. But here, it was no time for laughter and jokes. He wasn't sure how damaged he would allow his pride to become. If he listened to the Namek, he would see himself, and only himself, as less of a Saiyan. For succumbing to the ideas of others rather than hold his own as supreme and true. But, had he kept to himself, he'd just increase his own chances of a less fulfilling life and that of a life of destruction and death. It goes without saying that everything in Negi's head was a far more summarized version of this, but nonetheless, the point remained. To resist, or to give in. What should he do? A moment more of silence had breezed by Negi before the answer would be given. His feet shuffling apart, with his right on the fore while his left remained where it stood. His body leaning a tad forward, while his left arm was cocked by his chest, fist clenched. And his right arm hovered over his extended leg. Negi's sentence following this change in stance true and void of a foreboding tone.
"The answer lies in the heart of battle: And I want you to show me the answer, Namek. Don't dissappoint me."
The cold reply and off tone Negi supplied for Piyano could do no more to put the Namekian off. The tall green alien was already disgusted with the spiky haired Saiyan and further words would have little effect to change the Namekian's mind. Negi stood there and claimed he would never be wounded by his emotions, he would never become attached to others, never allow himself to become weak. That was the Saiyan's problem Piyano knew, that others didn't make one weak. Having others in ones life granted strength in ways that a loner such as Negi simply could not understand. Some people believed it was best to have nothing to lose in life, that being alone meant they could give their all without holding back. Piyano could never be swayed by such thoughts, it was this same belief that was followed by the Mazoku clans on Namek; and those demons hadn't managed to take the planet over through the entire history of Piyano's people.
No the Namekian before Negi now believed in a different path, having loved ones was strength. Fighting for others gave a person the power to see their limits and push passed them. A loner could give their all and still fail, a compassionate man had not option to stop at the limits of their strength. If their limit wasn't enough than they had to fight on! Had to push on to greater realms of strength, to a place with all new limits... because to fail didn't mean to fail them self. It meant to fail others. As they spoke Piyano watched as Negi grew quiet and thoughtful, the Saiyan's face gave it all away as he tried to muster some retort to the Namekian's words, tried and failed. The struggle on the mans face was all to really and easy to see, Negi was conflicted in his ways.
It was than that the Saiyan lashed out with his words, he claimed his own hatred for himself would allow for him to kill all that may in some way be involved in his vengeance. Crossing arms over his chest at the Saiyan's retort Piyano could only shake his head, antenna bobbing side to side on his brow. Revenge wouldn't be enough to convince Piyano, justice meant more to the man than something as simple as a child's temper tantrum. Even punishment for ones wrong doing was a better argument than revenge in Piyano's mind. To kill a evil man was not in itself evil, but to kill a evil man for the pleasure of killing was just as wrong as any other murder. That's all revenge was to the Namek, killing for personnel pleasure. It was than that Negi replied to the comment about the once mighty planet Vegeta. Surprisingly the man blamed his own people, calling them cowards and failures. They had failed him it seemed, and Piyano couldn't believe the madness Negi was spewing out of his mouth. It didn't escape Piyano notice that Negi was staring hard at the ground then.
The Saiyan struggled to find something to fight for than, giving the expected answer of planet Vegeta, the same planet he himself had mocked not seconds ago. The Saiyan knew he had no other answer, and so he left it off there. Negi would fight for him and his planet allow, claiming caring for a allies would only take time away from his precious training and growth. "You would fight for Vegeta? The planet whose 'weaklings' failed you so much to have completely lost Vegeta?" Piyano asked aloud in a strong voice, hoping hearing the words aloud would make Negi realize what he was saying. "If you hate the weaklings you must only care for the lands than am I correct? Say you gain the strength to reclaim Vegeta... what than? Would it just be you and a empty planet? Content doing thumb ups until the end of time, forever alone?" the Namekian carried on. It was becoming clear to the green man that Negi was so indoctrinated by his own peoples beliefs that he didn't even realize he must care for his own people. Why else would Negi wish to reclaim Vegeta? For pride... even this Saiyan's ego couldn't be so massive as to believe he could conquer the Empire of Blehberry alone.
Negi seemed to take a moment than, thoughts rattling around inside his mind that Piyano couldn't even begin to guess at. What the Namekian knew for certain was that whether by word or action he would make this Saiyan listen to him. It was Negi's choice to understand, his choice to agree or not with the points Piyano was trying to make clear. The seeds of doubt would be planted though in the end, Piyano would force Negi to at least question his beliefs. For now that was enough. The Saiyan seemed to reach a decision than, his feet spreading and arms raising into a stance of battle. Negi called for action than, a true Saiyan he believed battle would help him to find his answers. A fight was not originally why Piyano had come, but a fight he was willing to give. "If it is the only way you will learn." the Namekian replied before giving a sharp whistle, which drew the attention of people all around the street. "CLEAR OUT!" Piyano shouted as he too entered a stance of his own, both arms bent at the elbow and feet spreading into a wide side by side figure.
People around the shopping stalls and street looked between the pair of men not quite catching on at first, until Piyano attacked. Piyano didn't throw a punch so much as will his left arm to grow longer, his palm shooting forward far faster than any bullet. If whether or not the palm strike hit Piyano would follow up with a sweep of his leg directly for Negi's forward knee. As strikes were thrown the people along the street got the idea, some yelled for police as they ran, others found places to hide. Luckily most of them disappeared from any zone of danger once the first attack was thrown.
The seeds of doubt were indeed planted into the Saiyan's psyche. He no longer had the ability to talk the trash he normally would, mainly due to his mind working hard. Trying to decipher and tear Piyano's words asunder until they were nothing or could be converted into something that made sense to him. Something that would work and make him feel more as though he was still in the correct. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Deep in his mind, he was beginning to understand he wasn't as sure of himself as he once believed. Piyano brought up a fair point: Who would he be governing over if he even successfully reobtained the planet? All of his brethren were likely scattered or destroyed by the ruler of Blehbarry. He'd truly be alone, sitting in a single world by his lonesome. But, isn't that exactly what he desired? To no have the responsibility of caring for others or growing attached? He did just imply that, after all. Was his beliefs really being challenged? And was he allowing himself to even consider thinking them over? If he was so sure fo himself, he wouldn't have needed to do something like that! Damn!
Negi's body tensed as Piyano cried for a clearing. People did as he said, only after he threw the first punch. Negi, himself, taken aback by the Namekian's physical ability. His arm brought forth, Negi defended himself from the extended arm. A cracking sound issued out upon impact. Though he successfully negated the first move, Negi had not expected the sweep for his legs. The man suffering a painful whack to the knee and forced to hit the floor. Knee making contact with the ground beneath him. He was outclassed. He wasn't able to detect Piyano's strength at the moment, mostly in part of him lacking a scouter in order to read him. He wasn't able to sense or feel Ki, either. But, from the speed and might being displayed by the green man, Negi was capable of inferencing his opponent was extremely tough. It didn't help that Negi was floored right now. He was still trying to recover his might and mind. It appeared his opponent was finished in his assault. Negi permitted to rise from the ground, standing straight. His hands moving and clapping his cheeks a few times to "wake him up". Negi's blank expression now a bit frustrated looking. Determined, would be a better description. His fists tightening tightly as he charged himself into Piyano's direction. A single punch aimed for the Namek's chest. His hopes to smash into him and follow up with a strong roundhouse for the man's neck. However, with things going they way they were..it was far more likely that he'd fail. Basic attack thrown for 569 DMG.
The fist that shot for slapped with a heavy smack into Negi's raised arms, his block perfectly deflecting Piyano's surprise attack. The Namekian's kick however struck home hard to the Saiyan's lead knee. Negi fell from the leg sweep to land upon his same knee, it must have been painful to experience the repeated impact to the Saiyan's bone but the spiky haired youth wasn't going to be defeated from such a simple attack. Watching as the floored Saiyan moved to pick himself up from the ground Piyano stood by silently as the Saiyan clapped his cheeks and prepared himself for the coming brawl. It occurred to Piyano that he could simply attack the Saiyan than and there, but Piyano had never been one to hit a foe when they were down, not unless his foe was so powerful the Namekian had no choice but to fight them when they were off their game.
Finally Negi came at him, tight fists clenched in determination the Saiyan charged Piyano with a straight punch aimed for his chest. The simply attack wasn't clever enough to put Piyano on his guard, and knowing his power to be greater than Negi's the Namekian opted to not even bother with trying to dodge. Instead Piyano calmly reached out with his open palm and caught Negi's punch with his green hand. Muscles bulged as the two men's power waged a small war against each other, punch versus block, but in the end Negi's fist came to a halt in the Namekian's grip with virtually no damage done. Suddenly a kick flew in from the side, a powerful blow aimed for Piyano's neck. Bringing both arms up in a cross block the Saiyan's leg crashed heavily into Piyano, the force of the blow slide his body several feet to the side. "Not bad, but not enough." Piyano said once the assault was finished, lowering his crossed arms down to his side. Negi was indeed powerful compared to a Earthling, plus the man was weirdly heavy. The Saiyan lacked the power that Piyano possessed, yet he just felt and moved like he was twice Piyano's weight. A impressive feat since Piyano was so much taller than the man.
"So what now Saiyan? Shall we trade fists until exhaustion overwhelms us? I think we both know I would win such a battle... however I feel a more compassionate conclusion would help you greatly." Piyano said with a thought running through his head. The Namekian possessed a attack that would not harm the Saiyan in any manner, but would also give him victory. To win in such a manner could only drive home his words even harder into Negi... or so Piyano hoped. A pale green energy slowly spread out over Piyano than, its power visible and tangible to those around Piyano. The green power spread as if boiling water over the Namekian's darker green skin until Piyano stuck forth a hand and merely pointed a finger at the Saiyan across from him. "Psychic Spark." he said through a grin as the green energy flashed out from his body. The psychic power flew for Negi's mind, it's energy able to disconnect his mind from his body briefly should it hit the man. Making movement impossible.

It was becoming more and more apparent that Piyano was not a very combative person. He hadn't fought or made any attempt to severely injure the Saiyan, and now was speaking during their bout. Something Negi had only known others to do when they were feeling confident or especially sure of victory. The Saiyan male's attacks properly guarded against and putting Negi into some kind of post-attack stun, where he needed to retract his fists and hold them up in their original position once more. However, all hopes of attacking once more were thrown out of the window the moment Piyano opened his mouth once more. "A compassionate conclusion?" He repeated, questioning what that could possibly mean. Negi's pride taking a stab at after Piyano hinted at the fact of who would win in a slugfest. His eyes had narrowed and a light, primal growl escaped the Saiyan. But, before he could truly react and smash his fist into the green man's temple, he had been stopped. Not by a physical attack or apparent beam of Ki, but by some sort of mysterious force. At least, as far as Negi could tell. He had stood stunned, accepting the Psychic Spark in it's full. Unmoving and left with enough freedom to move his eyes and speak.
"What is this?!" Negi inquired. Unsure of what to do, he simply stood in place. "Damn you! Speak, I don't have time for this! Give me your wisdom so I can be off!"
Piyano's words had the desired effect upon Negi, they distracted the Saiyan even further. Eyes glaring at Piyano in anger the Saiyan growled from deep within his chest. It was a primal sound as Piyano had stung the man's pride. That small bit of time was all Piyano needed to land his Psychic Spark however, which meant he now held Negi trapped and defenseless. Not permanently, not even for long Piyano knew, as Negi would reclaim his physical movements in mere moments. Which meant Piyano had to work fast.
The Saiyan spoke than, shouting for Piyano too speak his piece so that Negi could be off and on his way. Piyano could not quite allow that however, the man would leave angry and could cause damage without thinking, defeating the whole point to this exercise. Piyano burst forward than in a sudden rush of speed that would make him nearly invisible to the untrained eye, slamming to a stop in front of Negi the Namekian cocked back his arm and thrust his clawed fingers forward at the defenseless Saiyan. Only to stop short, his clawed hand barely even a inch from Negi's eyes.
"Compassion is it's own source of strength." Piyano said lowering his claw, knowing that by now Negi would have regained his ability to move. "I have no wish to fight you, or to harm. You however needed to see that even the gentle can become strong." Piyano said calmly, it was risky to simply drop his guard at this time. Negi could choose to lash out at him in rage Piyano knew, but the Namekian was taking a chance that the Saiyan before him wasn't evil deep within his heart. "It is your choice to be a force for good or evil Negi. When the day you choose comes, I want you to think back too this moment. Too when a compassionate man had you beat, and choose not to end your life." Piyano finished, he knew it would sound preachy and over the top, but sometimes that was exactly what was needed to get the point across.
Back peddling away from the Saiyan Piyano came to a stop in the middle of the street, his guard completely down. This was the true test he knew, to see how the Saiyan would respond. Too see if Negi could look past his pride and accept the words of someone he most likely viewed as his 'lesser'.
