Nice as a place that East City was, she didn't want to come and revisit the city, without a good purpose. Coming here based on reports of something crashing outside the outskirts of the city, wasn't one she would considered good. Especially when it reminded her, this search for a third servant, had came to a standstill. Trip up in the Cold North, had produced no results, and she couldn't think of a better idea to find a suitable ally, than wait for landings.
Not at all her favorite method, knowing just how uncontrollable the variables were, and this landing that she had heard of, could have just turned out to have held some kind of weak species not worth her time. Even the promise of exposing her servants to a different culture, did nothing to appeal to her mood.
At first, she had thought it was just stress of not getting what she had wanted. And that her aggression for the past few days, with using the gravity room as an outlet for her frustrations, had been dissatisfaction that had been built up from this. But then, looking upon the calendar, she had come to realize that it was getting close to her coven's annual culling. Which date had tended to periodically change, in what she had assumed was overpopulation.
It brought back memories of a time when she had felt this kind of aggression, which she couldn't really place, and how it had gone away after going into a blood frenzy. After doing so, she had felt a lot stronger than she previously had, and the euphoria that followed, was one that lasted her so long.
This must have been a similar scenario. An indication that she was getting stronger, and simply battering both herself and her servants, wasn't enough. She needed to spill blood, and lots of it. But with this goal of hers to research this landing, how would she be able to find the time to even do so?
For her, priorities laid on the issues of others, before herself. A chance to exploit weaknesses, wasn't a chance that she would want to pass up. Her own aggression could be controlled, if her other two servants could always seem to live with such a life, and not show any real ill effects from doing so.
Leaving the two behind to guard the mansion, she had gone and entered the city, speeding through, faster than anyone within could ever hope to achieve. She didn't bother with hiding her true strength either. Not yet, anyway. The one who had landed near the city, would have made their way here by now.
She wanted to draw them out with her presence, which could already be felt by the humans she had passed. The chills that she had sent down their body, and the look of fear in their eyes, as they knew there wasn't an obvious presence around, who could stop her from draining these people of their blood.
To those of the untrained eye, which were many in the city, she was nothing more than a blur and a gust of wind blowing past them. It was only when she had gone and stopped in hidden places, like buildings that mostly obstructed her view, did those walking past get nothing more than a glimpse of her.
She could feel the exertion of muscles in her legs, as she leapt from street to street, breathing getting quicker, the more she had gone and pushed herself. Her eyes had scanned for any non-human faces, or if it seemed like if anyone was curious enough to go and follow her. She had yet to meet a human who could possibly give her a challenge. It was just people like her Saiyan servant, who had characteristics that were like a human, but they didn't really qualify.
Those who she considered human, were people who had grew up on this planet like her, and the characteristics she knew were like her own. Formerly being one herself, if she could ever meet a human she didn't know, exploiting their weaknesses would be something she would more than enjoy dearly.
So far, she hadn't seen anything or could have possibly left before she could. It wouldn't matter much if that was the case. Pushing herself like this, still wasn't enough to satisfy this mood of hers, and she was sure she could make a trip around this part of the city again, more than once.
While not exactly an interest she wanted to really test right now, making her way through the city like this, was a great test of her speed. Both agility and strength was something she wanted her kin to be known for, though she knew full well that their ability to feed on blood, would always remain famous.
Still, the more accomplishments she had, the more she was able to represent her own kin, and able to challenge the others which could serve as a threat to them. Creatures like Bio-Androids, and those armored aliens that seemed to always wear helmets, were the main two she was more concerned of.
No real pictures her intel really had of these two. Just descriptions of one being bug-like, while the other had horns, and what was essentially a lizard tail. All other species, she felt her own could match up against, or were those she had yet to hear of, for really doing anything that was reputable.
Her back pressed against the wall of a building, body hidden from view, as she had gone and regathered her breathing.
Thread PL: 59,415 WC: 945 (Note: The whole landing isn't referring to Sarai. Just a thing for a solo I'll do when I get around to it.)

It was one of those typical days. The sun was above, the ground was below, and the air was all around. Sarai was taking her lunch break to go out among the city. She didn’t live in one of the most upbeat parts of town. Instead, things tended to be a little run down and scrappier than a majority of the rest of the city. But it’s where she grew up, where she lived, and where she belonged. To a... certain extent.
The blonde felt little need to leave, but also little need to stay here forever. Mostly, Sarai didn’t have any drive to do anything than prove that Angelians were pretty hardcore and awesome! But how did one do that? She had competed in a few competitions when she was in school, won a fair amount. But that would hardly get her into a position to prove her race’s worth!
But the blonde would never be down trodden. No sirree! Her lunch break would be a jog. Sports bra covering her goods, loose blue pants around her legs, it would be a light and brisk pace. Keeping her energy up and her muscles warm for the rest of the day at the gym working. Her feet would trod lightly upon the ground as she passed by many faces she knew. A simple wave here, a nod there, and a grin elsewhere. She didn’t need to talk to everyone, but a little greeting never hurt anyone.
Then there was something she didn’t recognize. Or rather, someone. Stopping her forward movement but still jogging in place, she’d raised a hand to Rukia. “Should be careful around here or someone might just grab ya up!” The girl spoke with a large smile upon her face. Sarai didn’t really tend to have that problem, as most people around the area were wary enough of who she was from being here so long. But this girl was new. Even if she was Sarai’s height she still looked... squishier.
It might not have felt like one, with the way she was challenging herself, though she knew the exertion that she had put into her legs, were far from matching what she did while gravity training back at the mansion. A bit of rest was really all she needed to recuperate, since running that hard was something that could easily tire a person out. She might have been a Vampire, and one currently dealing with strange aggression, but she had limits.
With her goal in serving as a beacon of strength finished, she could now resume back to walking around the city normally, in the hopes that someone in this city had been curious enough to come and track her down. Slowly, her true strength was suppressed, to the point where it matched that of a trained human.
Though before she could continue going about her day, a voice had called out to her. Looking over to the source of it, she found a blonde her age, who's smile had reminded her of a friend she had back in her hometown of West City. This friend was just as athletic as the girl seemed to be, although tended to bike, more than run. For an outsider like her, this blonde's words were one that silently made her question just what she was referring to exactly.
A question that was answered after a look around, and noticing the area wasn't as nice as the part she grew up in. It also appeared to be that she was near a local gym, which equipment was far from being on par to a gravity machine. But that was expected for people who couldn't afford the nicer things in life.
Or at least, didn't have the kind of power or morality that she did, when it came to securing money. A part of life that she had no reason of being sympathetic for, seeing as how given the right time and opportunity, such a situation was able to change for the better, rather than the worst.
This girl, thankfully, didn't seem to hold an appearance that was as run down as some of the buildings around here. At first impression, her attitude also seemed to be friendly, unlike what one might expect for those living in an area like this, which the girl had seemed to imply calling out like that.
"I appreciate your concern, but I'm more than capable of handling myself."
Her apparel, admittedly, didn't really back that claim up. As always when she had gone out, she had picked a combination of clothing, which not only was something she thought looked cute, but also made it obvious that she was still a high schooler. Some kind of school uniform was always something she wore underneath whatever jacket she had decided to wear when she had went out. What she had on now, was more akin to wearing on a date straight after school.
Nevertheless, her arms being crossed, had somewhat helped bring attention away from her outfit. The claim wasn't exactly a displeasure, though the girl's effort to greet her, was still something that should be favorably returned, since it was more than what she had got the last time she had been here.
With the girl also assumingly being a local around here, she could also possibly gain insight into what she was looking for, even though investigating the landing was something she preferred to go and do alone, rather than receive help. But she almost always took an opportunity when she saw one.
"Though I'll admit I wasn't aware of this area holding any concern. Not from this city, just visiting for the week for reasons."
She hadn't exactly said so outright, but her words were phrased in a way that left room for offering the girl to be a guide of sorts. Maybe to even challenge her defense to the girl's claim, seeing as how they were practically outside a gym. If she was impressed, she could offer the girl a better alternative, with inviting the girl to her mansion. A rare invitation, since a certain drive was what she was usually searching for observation.
There was also a chance the girl might be curious enough to ask about the reasons she was visiting, which would allow her to bring up the landing she wanted to investigate, without having to bring the topic up herself. Not that she wouldn't eventually get around to it, when she had the opportunity. But it was good to be tactful, and placing out what curiosity she had, when it came to dealing with her own matters, and giving belief she cared about others.
"I'm Rukia, by the way.
Best to get introductions out of the way now, than later, if she was really going to be using the girl for her own needs. Though the blonde's name would only be something which she would bother remembering, if the girl really did impress her enough to get an invitation back to her mansion.

It seemed the other girl wasn’t fully grasping what Sarai was puttin’ down. It wouldn’t halt her grin though, nor her jog Still jogging in place, arms bent at the elbows and keeping her heart rate up. When she’d eventually get a reply from the other female, Sarai would flash a confident thumbs up.
“Doesn’t mean they won’t try! You look ripe for the pickin’, my friend.”
She didn’t mean it as an insult and she wouldn’t look so either. Grinning brightly, she merely just wanted to state the facts. People would very likely see this girl and think her easy to handle. It was a rough neighborhood and if they saw new blood there was no telling what they might do. Females were fleshier than males in a general sense, so they tended to be targets more often than not.
Hearing the girl claim that she didn’t know that about the area, Sarai would slow her steps. Slowing bit by bit until coming to a stand still. Her thought process was to stretch. Keep the muscle warm but easier to breathe and hear what the other person was saying. Arms both going above her head, clasping them together. She would lean to one side and lightly tug.
“Yea. It’s a rougher part of the city. Interesting to grow up in, but not always kind.”
Sarai was not aware enough to think about why the girl might be around. The warning was as deep as she got. Not even a thought to continue the conversation more than it was, she was going to get back to her jog! Oh. Names? Rukia. Hm.
“Rukia, huh? I’m Sarai! Angelian of these parts and damn proud!”
She was grinning ear to ear as she spoke, her hands now fisted and upon her hips as she leaned first to her right, pulling lightly at the muscles. Then to the left. Stretch stretch stretch, that’s how it’s done!
There was a difference between trying and succeeding.
Anyone who attacked her could try if they want, but it wouldn't be a result that lead to their favor. Most people she saw around her were human, excluding the Majin population around here, of which a few she had also seen Nekomajins. Neither of those groups however, could match up to what she was capable of. Even in bouts with her servants under the pressure of gravity, she had held back, to keep their building intact.
There was so much reasoning she had against what the blonde was insisting, but in the end, what she had to say, was better to actually prove herself. A chance that she would take if the opportunity came around, but part of the process to doing so was keeping the conversation going.
This girl and her insistence, was a bit of info that could be used against her. It was actually rather curious how quickly she was to dismiss someone she hadn't seen in this part of the city before. Was she really so confident that such a fate wouldn't ever take place for her?
"If you believe so. But what matters is nothing has happened yet."
As much as the words would normally hint that she was being insulted, not once had she really seen a strikingly smug expression, nor a tone that indicated that she was really meant to be looked down on. The only real thing, besides tact, that really kept her mood appeased about all this.
Girl might have been friendly for the most part, though this warning that had been given, was far from really going beyond disbelief, for someone who wasn't as capable as her. The lack of care about being informed of such a situation, beyond a warning and insistence, was also less than helpful. But that was the thing when it came to people, no matter whether you were from space, or some other part of the world.
People tended to act on their own self-interest, and being a stranger to this girl, there wasn't really a need to be too concerned about where she was going, or when. It was only when the conversation turned to the other person, was there any amount of care. But even then, if they weren't the type to admit or confess of anything, then it was just time that was wasted, rather than one that was actually put to use.
"Yeah, I can see that now."
Another look had been given around them to illustrate her point, but for the most part, her response to the blonde was more of an agreement, to what the girl had already established herself. With how light exercises were being performed right in front of her, it was obvious the other blonde had other plans to attend to, and if she couldn't really see anything else of note, she would leave it be. Though only because beyond a few exchanges and reveals, there was nothing really there for her to see promise of.
The girl had a certain confidence that seemed to be mostly gained, due to having lived in an area not properly financed, but that kind of reasoning was no proof at all, that the blonde was even more capable than she was. Just really a lot of confidence.
Though what doubts she had, was proven wrong, after hearing the girl's response, to being asked of her name. Along with revealing that it was Sarai, there was also the reveal that the girl wasn't as human as she looked. A common occurrence, though one she was glad for. It wasn't indication that this girl was the one who had caused the landing, though she appreciated meeting other species.
"I hear you guys are pretty strong. Though I bet I can prove you wrong."
Angelian was a group she hadn't heard of, but if there was one thing she knew about a species, human looking or not, it was that they usually took pride in their abilities. The blonde had more than shown she had this belief, which would explain why exactly the girl was so dismissive. She knew she was a lot more capable than the average human around, and the unlikelihood of better.
Especially when it came to being someone living around these parts. Although it wasn't really much of an excuse. If this still didn't lead to where she was hoping it would, then she would have to just outright make the offer of invitation herself.
To let an opportunity to study whatever her people was, which interestingly enough had angel in the name, slip by her hands, was one which she would come to regret. Studying as much life as she could that she had once avoided, would help with her plans immensely. A lot more so than just reading reports that the fanatics she knew, managed to gather from the internet.
"I have a mansion nearby, with a gravity machine that can dial up to a hundred. If you care to show what you're capable of, I guarantee the time spent will be more than anything that can be gained from a local gym."
When it came to placing her mansion somewhere, it was usually in an open area, where there didn't seem to be any civilization, but not lacking enough to where it could have possibly be some kind of testing range for land mines. From what she could recall coming here, it wasn't within this area, but rather the better parts of the city. She was just fast enough to travel in between.
The blonde laughed. That made a lot of sense, in a way. It didn’t matter yet because it hadn’t happened. However, Sarai had learned a few times it was better to be prepared and warned than caught in the dark. Life was a cruel, cruel mistress~
“It can be good to be ready ahead of time though.”
Not one to keep her thoughts to herself, she blurted out what she was thinking. Come what may, it seemed the other girl was confident that she’d be fine. That’s good! Confidence got people a long way. Putting her own hands on her hips, she’d look around her block she knew so well. It wasn’t beautiful. It wasn’t breathtaking or overly memorable. It was just a part of the city where the lower of society survived. But her attention was soon snapped back to the other girl. A wide grin spreading across her face, it seems she was interested in her heritage.
“Doubt it! I’ll wipe the floor with your ass!”
Joyous confidence. Sarai had no idea what she was getting herself into but that never stopped her. Fighting and sparring held a large part in her life. Growing up with it and wanted to persevere to be a grand example for her kind. Angelians were not to be ashamed of! They were a race of greatness! Surprisingly for Sarai, the other girl was more contemplative than action packed. Here the blonde had burst with energy, raising her fists as if expecting an attack at any minute. The other female, didn’t. She even spoke again. A mansion?
Sarai tilted her head somewhat, the blonde hair upon her head sweeping across her skull in gentle waves. Why should they go to a mansion? A gravity machine? Sarai hadn’t really encountered one before. But this girl was still giving her a challenge. Wide grin, the confusion was trumped by her need to show anyone and everyone up if she at all could.
“Well let’s go! Can’t do anything standing here yapping!”
For someone who preached about strangers taking advantage and causing trouble, Sarai had no qualms about going to this girl’s home. Truthfully, she didn’t even think about it. A challenge! What could be better?
Sorry to see life forced you guys to stop early! @rukia you are awarded 4,055 PL for this thread.
@blue - okay you get a nice boost of 1,524 PL! Since you and Rukia never reached her mansion or her gravity machine you will still have access to the 10x Grav bonus in the future.
