Another day in East City.
The day prior had unintentionally delayed her search in investigating into this landing, to the point where by the time she had finished showing hospitality, it was well close to night. But it was far from being a waste of a day. Beyond her servants being exposed to more knowledge, her own displeasure at letting time get away from her, had led to her going out for a nightly snack, where she had rid herself of her odd aggression.
Finding new strength from it, and gaining a new sense of confidence, whatever had happened today, would hardly do anything to ruin her mood. She was actually looking forward to seeing who else she was able to attract with her strength, and whether or not they would be as interesting as the day before.
Though she really would have to make some time into solving the reason she had came here in the first place. An objective, which for now, she would continue to rely on beaconing her true strength, to draw this being out. Leaving the mansion, the pace she had taken this time around through the city, was different from the day's prior. While it was true she still kept up the appearance of being a blur or mysterious figure, she wasn't going all out with doing so.
Perhaps that had been the problem of her attracting someone other than the one she was looking for. She was just too fast for them to catch up to her, and needed to slow down some. If that truly had been the issue, then there was nothing to do but take pride in her own abilities. What would remain constant however, even going at a much leisurely pace, was keeping her true strength from being hidden. The difference between the two days were rather noticeable.
She was able to catch her breathing much better, and there was only really slight soreness, not going all out as she could. It was nice, and the moments she had took to rest, had brought her back to a time when going to a city like this, would have had her curious about everything to do with it.
Those kind of moments were rather rare for her now, and she knew exactly why. Becoming a Vampire and taking on responsibilities like searching for allies and gaining power, took up her time to really relax and enjoy the scenery. Something which she could only have a taste of doing during times of peace, as she usually focused on putting the rest of her time into trying to achieve her long goal. She needed to establish a middle line somewhere.
Either that, or lighten the weight on her shoulders, by finding time to search for lesser servants. It wasn't exactly giving up in finding her third loyal ally, as she didn't come all the way here to East City for nothing, but rather letting what she was looking for, into coming to her naturally.
The decision wasn't really one to make now, even if she was enjoying herself. Making decisions too quickly wasn't something that she would normally do, and a bit of peace wasn't going to go and change that fact about her. Her decision would come by the end of the day or so, when she had more time to think. Leaving the building she had been hiding behind, and making her run towards another in the distance, she slowly started to push herself.
Doing so might have tended to make her limbs sore, but pushing herself to reach a building she had chosen as a stopping point, and managing to continue to another one from there, was really satisfying to do. Hard work did prove it would pay off, though she wouldn't blame someone for taking the easy way route, when it came to going from place to place. Being capable didn't always translate into desiring to get somewhere on her own power and strength.
The future minions she planned on recruiting when she had the time, was supposed to serve their purpose into making her life easier. Which meant restocking what food both her currently only two servants tended to eat, and being able to finance a few more things she still wanted to get for the mansion.
It would also mean she wouldn't require either both of her two servants, or at least one of them, to keep on staying in the mansion. They could instead be able to come with her, like the bodyguards they were supposed to be. There might have been a gravity room to use, but it was still good to go out.
None of the people she had gone and passed by, even remotely looked like they were looking to challenge her. It was the same confusion she had seen the other day, with the suddenness of her approach going on to produce a sort of deer in the headlights look. As if they had gone and died.
Such fear was something that while she did still enjoy, spending time on toying around with them, wasn't one which she wanted to really stop and do. Beyond investigating before the end of the week, there was really no rush in her search, but procrastinating needed reasoning behind it for her to really accept.
Any fun could wait.
