Dreams.
They were supposed to be these nonsensical events, where the human mind was able to escape from reality. A place where issues, no matter how trivial, were solved and presented in a way she wouldn't recognize, nor would remember, by the time she woke.
Then there were nightmares, which were said to hold a person's fears and worries. Had them believe that what they saw was an issue that needed to be fixed. A possible reason as to why nightmares could be better recalled than what was considered normal.
But as her body jolted awake, her mind being filled with images of her attacking those in her private life, she refused to believe otherwise. Always did with the similarities in these dreams. They never really differed too much from the bloodshed she caused, and that focus on her face. Slitted eyes, and monstrous features that made her as hideous as some members of her coven.
It was completely appalling. Though hardly anything notable. What was however, was how these 'nightmares' seemed to always make her mind race. Fear? What was there to fear about something that wouldn't ever happen. It was all just a bunch of nonsense.
A byproduct of this aggression, which despite the training done the day before against that Angelean, had not been resolved, disappointingly. So here she was, lying upright in bed, her eyes still closed, and focusing on her breathing.
The purpose wasn't an effort to go back to sleep, but rather to push away at this drive she was feeling. Least, until she was able to grab a late night snack. Though in more ways than one. It was pretty clear that with her mind requiring stimulation, she would have to take a breather out into the night, so that it could settle down. Maybe she would kill a couple of the wild boars.

A slaughter like that on nature, hasn't been done since she last felt this aggression. How long would it be before it ends? She left her bed, slipping out of her nightgown, and changing to something more suited for going outside. Nothing too special.
Just a jacket over apparel she would wear, if she was going to go out for a jog. Unlike before when she had been human, she didn't feel tired, as she changed into the outfit. Night was actually rather energizing, than if it had actually been day out.
But nothing she would appreciate with her current state, A bit more time had been spent, walking over to her personal bathroom, and freshening up. The light wasn't something that had been bothered to turn on, as the moonlight bouncing off of the mirror's reflection, was enough to see what she needed to. Her hair had a few wild strands, which she had gone and brushed down.
Even so, her appearance wasn't anything that it could be, had this actually been day. But it would have to do. Looking at herself in the mirror for this long, was already bringing back images of that monstrous form she had seen herself taken in that nightmare.
A form which she was positive she had become, that day she had passed out, after eating that wild dinosaur, and draining it of its blood. Chills had passed through her, as she recalled the embarrassment of being woken up by a coven member, who she abruptly killed after. It crept through her body, slowly as most sensations did, ever since becoming a Vampire, before hitting her entirely.
This moment, became enough to have her anger disappear. Her mind was clear, and no longer had it been racing as much as it did just a few seconds before. But just like someone who's heart had been temporarily stopped, her aggression had came back, and her mind had once again been filled with clouded thoughts. It wasn't enough to just think back to how good the events leading up had felt.
There was more to be had, and somewhere within there, her mind knew she was capable of getting it. She wasn't disappointed. It would have been foolish to believe things could just go and be resolved like that. A moment of weakness she quickly buried, as she left her room. The mansion was quieter than it normally was during the day, and as far as she knew, she was the only one awake.
But she cared not about whether or not she made a sound, with the kind of creaks that were found in certain places, no matter what kind of building it was. Her pace wasn't quick, but she wasn't going at her leisure either. Most of her focus was actually back on her breathing, which had quickened after that sudden clarity had been given and taken away from her, fast as it had came.
It had slowed back down to what she had considered normal, by the time she had reached the kitchen, where she made her way towards the fridge, using that to light the room. The freezer however, was what she had really came here for, which she opened up.
She recognized the source was cold, though for her, it was nothing more than running water, until her body had caught up to it. Two vials of the many blood she had lined up inside, were taken out, and the fridge shut, surrounding the room back in darkness.
What light that managed to shine through the closed curtains, was not enough to have her visible, as she uncapped the vials and drank. Both the contents, and having opened the freezer earlier, filled her body with two different sensations at once.
The first had recognized the cold air the freezer had, along with how this blood, going in, wasn't warm. But that other was euphoria, heightening her senses, though nowhere near those earlier chills. All this did was curb away succumbing to her thirst.
At least, for awhile. She sat the empty vials ontop of a rag on the counter, licking her lips of what had escaped from her mouth, as she took her leave to the lobby of the mansion. Her mind was still working, rather than being filled with that faint sensation of slipping away, as she usually felt when she got closer to sleep. A fact which only furthered her desire into exploring outside.
The hood of her jacket was pulled up over her head, steadily warming up against the cold air of the night. She took off away from the mansion, not as a bat, but her regular form. Under the guise of the shadows, and streets empty beyond those who had to make a living well past the night, she was a blur that brought chills past any signs of both life, along with any actual objects.
But there was something peculiar she noticed, as she passed by various streets, in an effort to tire herself out, before retiring the night with a feast on the boards. Bits of web lied on the streets, which got her attention only after stepping in the sticky substance. With her kind of strength, not much effort was really needed to break free, but it wasn't a copious amount either.
Times like these just reminded her so much, of how she chose not to focus on sensing. Her belief was that speed and power behind it, was enough to get by. A change she had yet to really make, but even thinking about it now, there were still no promises as to when.
Some kind of spider had clearly been causing these webs, and likely had to have been the one to have caused the landing. She couldn't recall ever seeing or hearing about this city having trouble with these webs before. This being must have felt comfortable enough to adjust and make this place its home. Not a thing she usually cared for, but she wasn't in a right state of mind right now.
What she desired was an outlet. Whether that was fighting, or just figuring out patterns, either would do. Perhaps if she had gone fast enough, she could catch up to them before they could get away. A thought that while it did leave a question hanging on her mind, was one she had already started to carry out. It wasn't a perfect plan, as there were certainly other factors at hand.
She was aware there had to have been some rest period or hideout that she hadn't notice, but going fast enough would also act as a beacon of interest. One which guaranteed better results than trying to draw the perpetrator out during the day, she realized.
Least, maybe for someone like this. There was no hesitation in the way she had exerted the muscles in her legs, taking short leaps which she wouldn't have been capable of, had she still been human. Being able to possess the ability to cover so much distance, was one that never failed to serve as an advantage, when it came to saving up time. Something which many couldn't afford to waste.
Her landing was in gaps of seconds she counted between in her head, not forgetting the reason she had came out here in the first place. This spider was just nothing more than a timer to get to. She passed many familiar buildings she had come to know through her repeated trips to this city, recognizing where the turns she took would lead down to, or how close she was to another building.
Gasps of air was taken occasionally, and with all this running that she had been doing, that hood she pulled over her head, was kept down as she did. Sweat formed on her body, as it adjusting to recognizing the amount of energy she was using with this run around.
What had been just mild exhaustion, had gone and intensified in places, requiring her to use the wall as support. Time which had also been spent hoping the being creating the webs would come across her way, only to see the trail end, and places where webs had been before, having dissolved. She couldn't help but also notice she was starting to feel that thirst for more blood to be drunk.
An indication of just how long she had been out here. And yet, the skies and what lampposts had lit up the streets, remained as dark as when she had left the place. Where was this being that she had been looking for? Had what she had seen been something that was done, before they had decided to call it a night? The thought was infuriating, knowing there was a chance she wasted her time.
She had already covered both sides that were near her mansion, and going beyond those points, was something she doubt this being had done. Not enough webbing had indicated that was a possibility. But another couple of runs around wasn't something she could afford.
That first day she had passed out after going into a bloodfrenzy, was an event which she had carefully ensured avoiding. Never before in her life had she ever felt so weak, being that hungry, and passing out had left her vulnerable for other possibilities.
Those pains of hunger she had experienced then, wasn't anything she ever let herself feel since, but there had to be something she wasn't seeing right now, with this current thirst. It was a sign that she was getting stronger, yes, but just how much stronger?
Enough to have her lose control like in those nightmares? To require much more intake of blood, then she usually drank? She didn't know, and it was questions like these where she had to wait for an answer, were ones she had detested the most of all.
Being aware of the situation and where it could lead to, was what she considered to be the usual for her. Things were supposed to go her way with the right choices of words and decisions. But hunger just wasn't something that she could have control over.
She had waited around long enough, and no new developments had been gained from him. Her breathing was back to being relatively steady, but as she pushed herself off of the walk, and went for another run, it was headed back to where it had previously been.
The outskirts of East City, was where she was planning to head next in order to feed. It wouldn't be like that first day where she would lose control. Boars were far easier to catch with her speed, and they bled in long spurts, unlike the fight that dinosaur gave. This would go her way. To succumb to her own thirst, would only prove she had to be the one learning instead of leading.
Further buildings she passed by were ignored for the most part, as her attention became more focused on the road ahead of her, which was increasingly getting away from the civilization here, and expanding to only the sights of fields and the night sky.
Though not actually this part of the city, she recognized the closer she got to the more rural parts of the area, the more she would come to associate where she had met her Majin servant. Hunger could play tricks on the mind, and while she wasn't on that level just yet, the event was one that made her wonder if maybe the being was just out training or something. They were from space.
That was her belief, and yet, she heard nothing that sounded like attacks were being fired. What she did see, was movement headed towards her, which was fast, but not enough to out speed her own. The appearance was sudden, and she had came to a stop a few good feet away from the figure. There also seemed to be the smell of cooked boar in the air? Turning back, she had seen a being that was half human, and half spider. The bottom half contributing to the webs she had seen earlier. And the smell, meat on a stick.
Questions went through her mind as the being had turned around as well, only to recall that she did need to feed, and the demonstrations she wanted to see from the spider, was one that would take too long. Upsetting, but there wasn't much of a choice.
"Don't go anywhere! I've been looking for you!"
It wasn't that tactful of her, but that hunger became embarrassingly physical, and she took off in the direction she had meant to head in the first place. Being so far away from the city however, it was pretty clear when she was being followed.
"Hey! Slow down. You can't just say something like that and not expect me to follow!"
Interested as she was in talking to the girl, she wasn't planning on starting now that she had started. Up ahead, she could already see boars, which at their approach, had some alert of the situation. She could also see a campfire up ahead, which looked like the person didn't care for cleaning it up. There wasn't a question at all on who the suspect was, leaving such a half-assed job.
"Fine, just be that way! I'll just wait until you're done doing whatever."
Was it not obvious what she was doing? And it would only take a few minutes at best to take down the boars. The time that she spent draining them of their blood however, was entirely different story. Thoughts she didn't feel like playing with as she made her first strike. With her speed, the use of ki attacks weren't necessary at all, when it came to going after these things for a meal.
Like her previous encounters with these animals, she had simply gotten close enough, and then sunk her fangs into their body. They were quick, but short bites on various parts, where she used her arms to push it down, and move onto the next creature.
Its own struggles and lack of ability to realize that it was pointless, would do the rest of the work as it came to a stop from blood loss. Her fangs became coated in blood, and clothes quickly became soaked with blood, from being in such close range.
But she couldn't care any less right now. The scent of blood that hung in the air was so filling, on what she could only have a quick taste of. Animal blood went down her throat in gulps, some escaping to the outside of her lips, as the movements of these boars were ones meant to throw off predators like her. Her head started to clear, but what samples she got just wasn't enough.
After about five or six taken down, with the rest scattering away elsewhere, she had stopped to check her work. It hadn't been anywhere near training under gravity, but her arms would still feel sore for a good few minutes from all that holding.
"So can you tell me why you were looking for me?"
She found that the spider had webbed each of the boars she took down, forming one group of sorts. It might have made a whole bloody mess, but it saved her time from gathering them all herself. Speeding towards one, her hands touched still warm blood.
"I guess I can wait a bit longer."
The expression on her face was one that showed discomfort, as the girl watched her lapped at the blood. Within the corner of her eye, she saw the spider turn away. Minutes passed by, before she moved onto the next one, her thirst still yet to be filled.
After the second one, it felt like it would be a pattern, as her head would be clear for a good minute or so, only to swarm back to those racing thoughts again. Was this really not enough for her? This had to have been more than her usual amount of blood. By the time that she had gotten to the last one, and her mind was still racing, she stood up, appalled at what was going on.
"Oh good. You're actually cuter than I thought."
"What do you mean?"
It was humiliating, actually having to ask, but the girl seemed ditzy enough to not hold any superiority to her. At least, beyond appearances. She knew she had done a rushed job, but it couldn't have been that bad. The girl also seemed somewhat straightforward.
"Your face. It was all scary looking."
"I see."
"Not to mention all that anger. Yeesh."
Ignoring the last part of what the girl had said, it was obvious what had to have been going on here. She had took on that monstrous form at some point while feeding, but it didn't feel that much different than if she was in her regular form.
The fact that it had gone away, must have meant she had her fill, which also felt different than what she expected. She wasn't full, but also wasn't hungry either. Though it felt like she could drink much more blood than what she had already consumed from all of those boars. This was something that would require adjusting to, that she just couldn't do right now. Sleep was still a necessity.
"I see. Well I'll have to thank you for your assistance then."
"I just wanted to hear why you're looking for me. Didn't come to this planet to be followed around."
Rather persistent, but the girl had her favor at the moment, and there was insight that could be gained, which her Saiyan servant wouldn't allow her to know. She didn't see enough to see her as potential, but maybe there were others in space that could.
They were going to be here for awhile.
