It had to be freakin' near zero degrees out right now! Cleo would walk through the thick snow of the Cold North. She was literally in the heart of this region. Freezing temperatures that could usually freeze someone frozen solid. With her upgraded trench coat, now she had truly weights on. These weights would weight her power level down massively and would make her appear as if she was an ant. However, there was something unique about this heavy trench coat. On the back of it reveals a logo of a school but not some cheesy school but an actual material arts school! She wore this with pride as she was recently brought into the school to learn about the sword. Unfortunately, she brought a wooden sword today for she has no clue what sword should be her's. She has hundreds to choose back home but she has no clue what could be her 'chosen' sword. With that in mind, she kept the sword under her trench coat. Why would she come out here anyways? Well, it was quite the little secret.
She would continue to climb the hill where she wanted to train on. A hill so high, it made the others hills all around simply dwarves. "Ahhhh... A little chilly for my tastes to train here but... I think this will do," she said to herself as she slowly opened her trench coat to reveal her wooden, weak, and pathetic sword. She would pull it out one handed and wave it around, "I am not too.. familiar with this weapon. I don't even know how to use a sword. I just know hand to hand and a few things about guns... Guh, Jie Shan why..." she mumbled to herself as she swung the sword around with her one hand. The sword was extremely light and smooth to swing all around. She would jump forth and slash the air, "YAHH!" she shouted while swinging her sword. She could hear the whipping of the wood with the air. A fairly decent sound to hear. She would look at the wooden sword, 'Geez... Who even fights with a sword these days? Plus wouldn't using a sword seem cheap and unfair?' she thought consciously in her own head. She would sigh lightly just to know this won't be easy.
She gripped her sword's handle tightly and continue to slash the air all around her. "YAH! YAW! HIIIII-YAHHHH!" she would shout aloud! She was going all at it with the air. It was similar to shadow boxing but with a fake... wooden sword that was incredibly weak and probably useless in real combat. Though, she had to admit. Doing this with a sword was actually getting her used to it. Maybe one day she could actually use a sword? Obviously, not as her primary method of choice but she'd certainly have it as a backup. She would stop for a moment. She leaned the sword against the ground and looked out at the hills of the Cold North. "For a place so cold... It sure is beautiful," she softly said as she took a moment to enjoy the sight.

The Cold North......
Marcel was climbing up a snow covered hill in his normal attire with an added black scarf that wrapped around the lower part of his face, and gloves of the same color. Despite being all bundled up, the demonic Saiyan still appeared miserable, his nose now pink, and eyes half open. He truly despised being in extremely cold areas. He did have a reason for being all the way out here however despite the uncomfortable temperature. He wanted to see more of this planet that he calls home, that he has sworn to protect for himself, and his late step father. Even if he...highly disliked some of the places. Like this frigid temperature!!
Though, that wasn't the only reason he found himself here today.
With fiery determination in his crimson, black slit eyes, Marcel had the intention of training on the very top of this hill, but not how he normally would. On the back of his coat laid a katana, blade hidden in a black sheathe, the hilt having a pattern of black, and yellow. The sword was strapped down, so it could stay on the man without dropping. It would have been a damn shame to lose this thing all the way out here. The hybrid had just recently began to rebuild that old Kikoukenjutsu Dojo he stumbled upon a while back on the outskirts of Bamboo Forest along with this very sword he had in his possession now. He had no real experience with mixing his ki with a sword, or any weapon for that matter, but he did know a thing, or two about swinging one around. He wanted to learn more however, especially when he stumbled upon that hidden room in the dojo. It was filled with information that even he isn't able to comprehend yet. Right now, he was just interested in furthering his basic sword attacks, and why not do it somewhere he isn't all that use to. Perhaps he could gain some sort of resilience to this cursed cold if he trains long enough. As he inched closer to the top, the guy would begin to hear what he could only describe as loud grunting, causing him to stop for a bit. Was there somebody else out here?
He would then start to focus, trying to get a feel of any nearby ki, but came up with nothing. Strange.....Perhaps the cold was getting to him more than he thought? After a quick, and annoying sneeze, Marcel would press on to see if anyone was up there. Who would be crazy enough to be all the way out here? As he finally made it to the top, Marcel peeked up, and noticed a girl wearing a blue trench coat looking out in the distant. It seems he isn't going crazy after all. Marcel proceeded to climb fully up before letting out a small sigh of victory, finally making it up here instead of just flying. His body trembled once he made it to his feet as his eyes were still set on the woman.
"I was honestly not expecting to see anyone else here." he claimed, his breathe visible with every word. He wrapped his arms around himself as he attempted to keep warm.

It was so pleasant to see snow. Snow to her was such a rare thing. Actually extremely rare. This would be her first time in snow, but she could handle it so well. It's actually ironic! She's from a desert that's obviously a million times hotter than this 'freezing' climate. Her breath seen as she continued to look out at the scene. Her dark brown eyes very amazed how snow could be so beautiful. "I have always thought snow was... cruel and so breaking but it turns out it's way better than a desert by a long shot," she would say. Suddenly something sharp would hit her mind. Someone was nearby!
She would turn her back to see a figure behind her which surprised her... 'Huh... I never thought I could attract so many people to me,' she thought as she brought the wooden sword up and over her shoulder. With that in mind, she would slowly place two fingers on the side of her head, telepathically attempting to send a message to him, 'Quite so. I didn't expect anyone to come up here as well. Though this world is full of surprises, you shouldn't ever be shocked to see people in the oddest places,' she telepathically said to him. This could probably frighten him... Hearing his own brain get a message like that without her lips moving. What was she? She would simply smirk at him, regardless of his reaction towards that telepathic creepiness.
'Also, it is very wise to suppress your power level. There are things out here that would want to 'fight' you. They wouldn't be friendly fights either,' she would telepathically say. Alright, now this was getting old. She would drop her fingers off her head, approaching him with the wooden sword close. She would keep the trench coat wrapped around her body tightly to keep herself warm. Even though she prefers it out here over the deserts, it still was dangerously cold. She would breathe through her nose, looking like a mist was coming out of her. It was just warm carbon dioxide of course. She would scan the man with her eyes, gathering information about him. She would finish by looking into his eyes, smirking.
"I'm Cleopatra... Student of the Lightning Blade Arts. I'm up here training with this wooden sword here," she said as she presented him the sword she was using to shadow swing with. It looked old, ugly, and completely weak. She would bring the sword back down, "I know, I know.. Not the best looking weapon but I don't know how to use a sword. So, with that said, I'm actually training with it until I find a logically good sword to use," she said smiling. She would keep her posture stiff and strong as if she was trying to look somewhat strong. His power level was weak like her own but slightly stronger. If she needed to fight him, she could throw this trench coat off and fight but she didn't think he'd be the type. After all, if he was truly a threat... They wouldn't be talking right now.
For a bit Marcel stood there silently after speaking, his body shaking due to the cold despite the warm protection he wore for such elements. What was up with him, and this type of weather!? Finally, the mysterious woman turned around, and noticed the man who greeted her with a teeth chattering smile. It didn't matter where Marcel was at, being polite was still an upmost priority to him when meeting new people. So long as they are friendly that is. He was expecting this young lady to say something, but instead she stood there quietly, putting a finger or two on the side of her head. Perhaps she was still surprised by the man's sudden appearance. If it was weird for him to see another here, then it must be the same for her.
His slightly lowered eyes would soon shoot up as he began hearing voices in his head, or just a single womanly one to be exact. "H-Huh?" he said hesitantly as he backed up a bit. These were clearly not his own thoughts! Not sure what exactly was going on, Marcel looked from left to right in confusion as he continued stepping back. Was he really going insane from this cold? He knew it, he freaking knew it!! The cold was even more of a demon than the man himself! Maybe this woman was just an illusion as well brought on by the devil! Perhaps that's why he couldn't sense her, not even bringing into account that it could just be her suppressing ki, something even the hybrid knew how to do. Continuing to doubt reality over his lack of knowledge on telepathy, Marcel continued back up until he was right back at the edge, unknown about this until he was plagued by one more irritating sneeze, causing him to lose his balance, and attempt to waves his arms about to regain balance.
It failed....
The guy then found himself falling off of the hill he so victoriously climbed up from. He flailed his arms about, eyes squint shut as he was beginning to think that this was the end! But then he finally remembered with his eyes opening back up. "....Oh." his falling would slow down until it came to a complete halt a few inches off of the ground. As he positioned himself, Marcel decided to float back up, rubbing the back of his head as he cheeks began to glow as pink as his nose currently. How could he have forgotten he could fly!? The cold wasn't making him hear voices, but it was certainly messing with him. Making it back to the hill with the woman, Marcel would land before letting out a low, "Sorry....about that." chuckling weakly. She must think of him to be an idiot, or insane now. He didn't hear much of what the woman was saying telepathically due to his...little episode, but he did hear her afterwards. "My name is Marcel." he bowed as he usually did before standing back tall with a small smile. "A pleasure to meet you, Lady Cleopatra and Lightning Blade Arts?" he questioned. He had never heard about this before, but as Cleopatra continued on, he was able to piece together that it could possibly be some sort of sword school which caused the man to raise his eyebrows.
"I see. Another sword school I presume?" he asked, a bit of enthusiasm in his voice as he unstrapped the sheathed katana from his back, showing it to the woman. "I'm actually dabbling a bit with swords as well. I stumbled upon this along with something else during a walk, and it took my interest swiftly. Though, I honestly don't have much experience with it yet." he claimed with a light chuckle.
"Perhaps I would be better off with a wooden sword." he joked.
Things were about to get interesting. As she approached him, he would actually fall off the cliff. Huh... Was this person crazy? She didn't even get the chance to formally meet him and he would just fall backwards. "That was weird..." she said thinking to herself that maybe he was her own imagination. She would begin walking away when suddenly she could feel him returning! She would turn around, keeping the sword on her shoulder to see him back up. Cleo looked surprised, "Huh, I really thought you were an imagination to vanish off like that..." she said out loud but would continue right afterwards with what she did.
After the two got acquainted with one another, she would simply smile at him. After hearing his joke it made her laugh a bit but she didn't have room too talk. She didn't even have a legit sword to use. At least he found a sword that would fit him like a glove. She would sigh afterwards and speak out a bit, "Yeah... I don't even have a sword selected. I've been so confused on what could be my sword of choice but I really don't have a clue. I'm trying the one handed motion swings first and it seems fairly okay. Two hand is next but I really can't tell if I'm making progress or not battling the air like this," she explained to Marcel. It seemed Cleo was just confused with sword fighting all together. She was better off with hand to hand than anything else! She would pull the wooden sword off her shoulder and press the tip down against the ground as if it was a cane. She would look at Marcel before hatching an idea.
"Say Marcel... Why don't we spar a bit? I think we both can train ourselves that way better! I don't mind the blade of your sword, I'm sure you'll go easy on me," she said smiling at him. It was a rather interesting idea for her to come up with. Maybe training with a partner wouldn't be a bad idea. Even though she just met this person she could sense he was not a big threat at all too her. She would pull her sword up and land it back on her shoulder before giving him a smirk. She was the type to go all out with ideas, even if they weren't in her favor.
She would walk backwards a bit, hoping to hear an okay from Marcel. If she would hear something, she would smirk. "Alright, if you wanna spar... Don't be easy on me! I can take a few swings! Even if your blade is sharp, I will be okay! Just go as hard as you can!" she said to Marcel. She was willing to go all out but obviously not too a killing point. However, there was one thing that was left. It was for Marcel to decide if he wanted to do this out not... Would he?
Marcel couldn't help but chuckle nervously at Cleopatra's comment. Both because of his embarrassing actions, and the fact that she thought he was just in her head for a second like he did. "Haha, I know the feeling."
After rambling on a bit about his katana, the hybrid placed the tip of the sheathed blade onto the ground, hearing it crunch some on the snow while the woman started to talk. His smile faded, and made way for a much more concerned look as the girl went on, talking about not having a sword of her own, seeming to be lost about what type she would even want anyway. The guy started to feel a bit bad, believing that he may have bragged a bit much about his sword without knowing. His eyes wandered down to his standing katana then over to the wooden one Cleo had. "Well...." his eyes trailed back to the woman. "I stumbled upon this blade out of pure luck, but I believe there might be more to that." he claimed before lifting it out of the snow by the hilt.
"I like to believe that I wasn't the one who found this, but rather it found me." he said as he made one quick slash at the air. Marcel was the type to believe in things like this. To believe in destiny which was a trait he adopted from his step father. Everything did happen for a reason, right? "So, if you keep on practicing, and if you are truly determined, I believe the sword you are looking for will seek you out." he claimed with a confident smile before resting the katana on the ground again. "I...do deeply apologize if any of that made no sense....I am known to do things like this." he really did hope it helped her in some way however. He wasn't really skilled at teaching people, but it was something he tried to do.
With that said, the lady would then bring up an offer to spar, immediately catching the man's attention. "Oh?" he managed to get out as a grin tried its best to creep up on his face. Maybe it was his Saiyan genes talking, but Marcel does enjoy sparring especially when it comes to meeting new people. It was an amazing way to bond in his eyes, as well as make new friends. It was also the reason he never hides his ki despite how dangerous it is. He was welcome to people seeking him out for a battle if they ever sensed him. Though, the weights hidden underneath his coat would lower his true power some, possibly turning those with higher ki away from him, though it wasn't something he really mind.
As Cleo walked over to prepare herself, Marcel immediately fell into a battle stance, one similar to that of a samurai. "I would love to spar, actua-" he'd quickly stop talking before standing back up straight, his face appearing as if he gotten an idea before sneezing once more. "Oh, how about this?" he bent his arm holding the katana forward as if he were offering it to her. "You can use this if you like. Perhaps get a better feel, and see if this is the type of sword you need? I have no problems with using the wooden one. It's your choice." he said with a smile. Marcel had a bad habit of being trusting most of the time. This woman could turn out to be way stronger than him, and actually skilled with a sword, this being a trap to kill the hybrid for whatever reason!
Ah, the Cold North. That was what the inhabitants of this planet called it. Most species did find extreme cold cumbersome. Food was very scarce in these regions, and the very low temperatures were a major deterrent for anyone settling in these regions. Those who did were very hardy individuals who were able to adapt the best they could to the climate and make do with what they had. Of course, there were some people who absolutely loved the cold climate, since there was plenty of space to set up a large living space. Not to mention that since barely anyone came there, one could have plenty of privacy. Assuming one could withstand the harsh environment. Fortunately for Cryonia, not only could she withstand in it, but she actually thrived in it.
Cryonia's abilities allowed her to transverse and withstand cold climates without having to wear any kind of protective gear. She was very good at manipulating ice in general. As such, she was very used to very low temperatures. Which was why she preferred setting up her labs in these kind of climates. She had quite a bit of space to make them and people typically didn't bother her there. In this case, she had carved her lab out from a small cave within the icy mountain ranges that made up this region, using her abilities and experience in this field. Cutting out her own makeship labratories out of icy landscapes was something that was second nature to the ice Elemi at this point.
Cryonia was sitting at her desk, typing away on the computer which she kept the majority of her information. Of course she also had many different folders which contained many different papers of research. Not to mention the books she had managed to publish regarding her research. Of course, she didn't have too many of those lying around: most of her time was spent trying to solve a problem that had plagued her entire race for a long time. At least she didn't have to worry about people disturbing her work though. Or at the very least, that's what she thought.
Cryonia suddenly felt two fairly strong power levels nearby. They were much stronger then most of the people who resided in the area. One of them was definitely stronger then she was, while the other one appeared to be weaker then her. Of course, sensing someone's PL alone wasn't necessarily an accurate reading on how powerful they really were. It was always possible that they were suppressing their power in some way. Cryonia decided that this was worth investigating. She picked up a notepad and a peace of paper and strode out of her lab. Once she made it to the surface, she flew in the direction where the powers seem to be coming from.
Cryonia touched down out of sight of the two individuals and walked the rest of the way there. She suppressed her energy so that it would be harder for them to sense her. Granted if they were actually looking for her, they could probably sense she was there. But she had the advantage of coming unannounced.
Once she walked the rest of the way there, Cryonia situated herself a fair distance away from the two figures that had the large power levels. One of them wore a trench coat with a strange logo on it. It was something that the Elemi would have to look into later. It was a good thing that she didn't recognize the logo right away though: since most of the time when she saw someone wearing an emblem to an organization, it automatically made them her enemies. Perhaps this individual was part of a group that was much more benign. It was likely an organization native to Earth, since this female was clearly a human.
The other person was a more unusual individual. His energy reading was similar to that of a Saiyan, but there was something else there that Cryonia had never felt before. Cryonia had encountered plenty of Saiyans in her travels to other worlds, so it wasn't too hard for her to spot one out from the crowd. But this one was different in some way. It appeared that they were going to partake in some sort of spar involving training swords. From what Cryonia could see, they were about to show off some of their fighting tactics. This was certainly a very good opportunity to gather more information. Cryonia situated herself behind a fairly large block of ice to obscure her from view. She held her notepad and pen in front of her face, watching the two strong individuals intently to see how good their swordsmanship was.
How much could one really say that they hated the cold? She frankly was one of them. While she did play it off that it was simply a normal cold usually she typically as well would just try to move to a warmer area. While most hated the cold simply for what it was, she hated it purely out of survival instinct, her insides after all were more like that of an insectoids currently than a humanoid. It was a tough way to survive, but her experience with her..friend.. had change her own tone. She needed to grow stronger as well yes, but hers wasn’t simply a matter of power, rather of achieving her perfection. The world she desired to change would help bring that balance back to this universe. For each time there was conflict it was always for the same reasons.
The constant competition of light and darkness seeking to destroy one another. She couldn’t let her own emotional weakness to the cold stop her though. Her path was a hard one she was designed to follow. She was not any weak creature like any of these naturally created creatures however. That was why she was here, so she could overcome that weakness. Duvainel had a very set mind when it came to her task, that was the challenge of them when they came. Her creator gave her the targets and she would take them out. That was how it worked now wasn’t it? The original mission her creator did have her on though, it wasn’t something that she had been ill prepared for. No she had been given when she had landed gear to help her on this travel. The people she had met in the city unknowing of how much they had helped her as well. Yes people would die in her mission, but it was okay if it was for the greater good after all. Maybe not the greater good, but rather for the perfect balance.
Today though was a rather interesting one however, for as she had approached the mountainous area near her hometown she couldn’t help but notice that of two ki signatures. One rather distant than the other. However that wasn’t what grabbed her interest, what grabbed her interest was the fact that the two she could feel had the tinge of demon and elemi! Maybe this was a sign that one day the two of which would be used to complete her own perfection and bring about her true desire? Not today no, she still had growing within herself to finish upon. However she did hold the element of surprise for when the day would come, her shapeshifting after all was one of those things that did keep her looking humanoid. It was merely a persona she had created for this planet but in terms she still had her true form underwraps, in fact the only time she had needed to get it out was when she hunted sometimes during the night. Even then, there were usually no witnesses.
As she slinked rather quickly toward the elemi from behind, her brenchian speed placed to work as she moved hastily behind them. In her friendly persona of a voice she attempted to tap the elemi on the shoulder and speak rather loudly enough that surely the others would hear. “Hi there! So why are you watching these people from behind this ice?” She would speak acting rather naively, after all she did want to keep her cover up. However she would keep the friendly tone the whole session, she didn’t want others to know the truth of what she was after all, they wouldn’t understand.
The pinkkette teenage was wearing what seemed to be some weighted garment with how bulky it was. A light brown half cloak dangling from behind. A simple tool used to help keep snow out of her face during the blizzards that typically occurred here in the north. Two metal cylinder like handle however were dangling from her belt as she looked at the ice elemi. Her skin as well rather pale and rosy possibly from constant exposure to the weather here in the north.

Cleo was getting pumped by the fact that she was about to train with a sword! Though it may be a dumb... wooden sword, she would feel thrilled for this! She would position herself back a bit before hearing him ask for a sword exchange. She would smile at him than just laugh! "Hehe... You don't need to worry about that. Trust me, I think you'd be better off with your own sword. You need to familiarize yourself with it anyways if you," she said as she prepared herself. The moment too finally train was here! She was about to lunge forward when suddenly her senses picked up something... Her eyes would widen and she dropped her arms. "Shhh..." she said suddenly. She would pick up a signature over the distance and point it with her sword., "There's someone else here..."
With that said, suddenly a loud yell was heard which would now trigger two senses. She would pull her sword back and look at Marcel, "I guess we shouldn't be sparring just yet... Not with those two watching us... I think we should probably go up there in a bit and visit them, don't you think?" she said with a smirk on her face. She would not want to fight them above but she sure didn't want to just stand around with creepers just watching over them. She would slowly hover and thrust herself towards the hill. With that in mind, she telepathically spoke out into their minds, 'Alright... I wanna hear why you're spying on us... Totally uncalled for!' she sent out towards their heads.

Marcel continued to hold out his sheathed katana towards Lady Cleo in hopes she would accept his offer, a welcoming smile plastered on his face. He honestly didn't mind if he had to end up using that wooden sword. This girl seemed like she needed a bit of guidance in this, and the hybrid thought it would be good to have her get a little feel of this blade in hopes of helping her. As she laughed, and began to speak, Marcel shifted his eyes to the side. For a split second, he could've sworn he sensed another large source of ki, but just as he felt it, it vanished. Instead of looking more into it, he decided to shrug it off believing it was the cold still playing with his head. If it was something to worry about, it would surely pop up again.
"Very well." the man said softly before placing his other hand on the sheathe of the katana, about to remove it as his foe prepared herself. It seemed like the two were prepared to get their sword training going! But then the man paused, hand still on the sheathe yet not removed as he glanced to the side again just as Lady Cleo shushed him. They were not alone, and it seems that the teen has picked up on this as well. The hybrid picked up another ki signature that was different from the one he sensed previously. All the man could sum up from what he is feeling is a cross between multiple species mixed into one, but he is only capable of recognizing one of them.
It was....demonic in nature. Just like himself.
He could hear somebody yelling out, further confirming that there was somebody about nearby, possibly spying on the two as Lady Cleo said. "Maybe we should." Marcel agreed with a nod, his expression more focus than welcoming. As Lady Cleo headed towards the source, Marcel placed the katana back on the strap located on the back of his coat before floating off in the same direction. Once they made it, Marcel not only found the person responsible for that weird ki, but another woman as well with a notepad, and pen in hand. What was this all about? Not hearing Lady Cleo's mental message, Marcel began to speak up as it seemed that the his potential sparring partner wasn't going to do so.
"Hello there." he said before crossing his arms as he looked at the Elemi. "May I ask what you two are doing all the way out here in a place like this?" he asked politely with a small smile before his eyes shifted to the pink haired one with odd ki. His eyes quickly popped open as a sneeze built up, causing the man to turn his head away from the others to let out yet another pesky sneeze. "....My apologies...."
Even before Duvainel had spoken, Cryonia had whirled around and extended her arm out in front of her. While she had noticed the third power level entering the general area, she had just kept her power level low, figuring that she was well hidden enough for her to not register her, and would focus on the two individuals about to engage in swordplay, if anyone. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be the case. Although that wasn't what had set off Cryonia. Whoever the newcomer was had come at her rapidly, at a very quick speed. Cryonia wasn't taking any chances, and was ready for a fight. If someone was coming that quickly, then it likely meant they were going on the offensive.
“Hi there! So why are you watching these people from behind this ice?”
As it turned out though, that didn't appear to be the case at all. Despite that, Cryonia didn't relax one bit. She narrowed her eyes at the newcomer, her palm still facing the newcomer. Her aura was very unique, having traces of multiple species within it. Clearly some artificial conditioning was involved to achieve this state. Normally Cryonia would be jumping at the chance to study someone like this. However this person had deliberately revealed her position to the other two people she was studying. Yes, it was definately deliberate. Considering they were in a barren area of an already remote region, the odds of someone just casually strolling by and seeing her behind the glacier were extremely low. Further more, this person just had too strong an aura to be a random passerby. No, she had deliberately raised her voice to give away Cryonia's position. Cryonia had no idea why she would do this, but it made things more complicated, and compromised her study: individuals behaved differently when they knew they were being watched.
"Sneaking behind people like that is the kind of behavior that will get you vaporized. If it's a habit of yours, then I recommend you get rid of it was soon as possible."
Cryonia coldly spoke, lowering her arm back down to her side. She would scathed this individual more, but company was arriving. To Cryonia's surprise, she got a telepathic message in her head that came from the human. This wasn't an ability her race typically had: it was another subject matter worth exploring more. All 3 people there asked her the same question, so she decided to address that first. Cryonia turned around, regarding Marcel with her light-blue eyes as her head tilted up at him. Cryonia spoke loud enough so that even the human could hear her.
"I can't speak for the individual next to me, as we have never met until this moment. As for what I'm doing observing you two, well it's my job. I study lifeforms for research purposes. Observing and eventually understanding the abilities and techniques that other species possess will eventually help achieve the aim that me and many other Elemi have dedicated their lives to fulfill. As for why I'm in this particular location, I currently live here. The cold doesn't bother me as much as it bothers most individuals, so I tend to set up my research labs in places like this."
As if to illustrate that point, the man sneezed rather audibly. No doubt the cold was effecting him. Nyx raised her hand up towards him, offering him a handshake. She was still keeping an eye on the pink-haired girl by keeping a lock on her energy signature. For the time being, she was keeping more attention of the human/demon hybrid. She lowered her voice to a more normal level, now that she had expressed the reason as to why she was there. She was looking at the man floating above her with amusement. Despite being annoyed that her study had been ruined, she wasn't going to let that ruin her day.
"You don't have to apologize for something beyond your control. Your body isn't adapted to deal with the cold like mine is. I'm Cryonia, an Elemi scientist who represents the Homeworld Reclamation Effort. My study has prematurely concluded, although you probably prefer it that way. No one likes to be observed without their consent."
Cryonia watched him as she held out her arm. Hopefully she would be able to at least be allowed to stay and watch them train. It wouldn't be as effective a study as observing them from the shadows, but it would be the next best thing. Of course the pair could just depart or ask her to leave. In that case, she would fully focus on the pink-haired individual. That was someone who was most certainly worth studying. Cryonia also took the time to telepathically respond to the human's messsge. She had opened the channel, so she could talk back to her freely like this.
"I'll repeat that for you, since you didn't likely hear me vocally. I'm Cryonia, an Elemi scientist who represents the Homeworld Reclamation Effort. I sensed you two from inside my lab and decided to investigate. There's always the chance that strong individuals can have a technique or ability that will prove helpful in my research. How did you gain the ability to talk telepathically? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but that isn't an ability your race is born with."[/cyan]
The funniest thing about this whole thing. Was simply the fact that Duvainel actually had not meant to cause such a commotion here. She simply had only wanted to meet with the Elemi and the Demon. More so to study their habits to use on later prey when the day would come along. The day that she would need to grow into her stronger forms, her true form. Maybe she would go out on a hunt later when she was alone. It’s been quite a while after all since she had used her real form. She had been in this shapeshifted form for nearly twenty four seven. One sometimes could simply just miss accessing their true form sometimes. The more elemi and demons she could find on this planet, the more she would be able to find prey to fuel her power. After all power was a necessary step to destroy all that was light and darkness.
“Well I mean, wasn’t that exactly what you were doing pretty much? Sneaking behind these people and watching them fro behind? That’s kind of hypocritical to say really.” Duvainel would point out as she stared up to the older elemi’s eyes. Her own golden hued amber eyes staring into that icy blue of Crynoia’s eyes. It was at this time that she began to feel a pull in her mind, someone was trying to access it for whatever means. Quickly she went on full alert as she closed her mind to the intruder, unfortunately as well not receiving their message. It wasn’t intentional no, more of a defense precaution. She didn’t like the thought of anyone getting into her mind and seeing her thoughts..no she just couldn’t. If there was one thing that truly frightened her. It was whenever someone would try to get inside of her mind. That was her one major fear.
It was then that the half demon began to ask her a question. Only after he sneezed and the elemi answered did she speak. “Well i'm actually from a town close to here, about straight back from here near the base of the mountains. It was how I spotted Cryonia here, since well the angle I was coming from there wasn’t really anything blocking her from my own view and more specifically of her watching you two. I mainly came here though because I felt the ki of an elemi and a demon.”[/color] She would answer even quite honestly. “You see my mother was a demon hybrid and my father an elemi hybrid. I was curious about actually meeting some others and well...here I am now.” She would say with a clear smile to her face and a friendly tone to her voice. All of it was simply an act though, a well programmed one placed into her for assistance to complete her primary mission. After all her main mission was infiltration and integration. She was more than prepared for blending in. Her studying of her friend Rukia had even helped her quite a bit for learning more about how earthlings acted. “Silly me, I already said why I’m here and I forgot even to say my name heh, well then my name is Duvainel Xana.” She would say quickly making up the last name. She didn’t know why specifically she chose that last name, but something about it felt familiar. Familiar like those glimpses she would get sometimes.
“So an Ice Elemi huh? Does that mean you can create Ice as well, or are you limited to only being able to manipulate currently standing ice? I don’t know much about the more solid elements, I myself developed a rather rare strain. Although I haven’t managed to fully control it yet, I can control..well..twilight energy. As in the energy that exist seemingly in a parallel realm to ours. I think I’ve got myself a teacher to help me learn to control it, but I haven’t gotten to meet them yet. I answered their advertisement so I do look forward to meeting them soon. Apparently some guy named Jie Shaneal or something similar to that I think. Either way I just can’t shred my excitement at not just meeting another elemi, but also another demon hybrid.“ The pinkette would say with that very excitement very noticeable in her voice. While she was excited yes, it wasn’t necessarily all for that reason alone. She had other plans in mind, however those plans weren’t necessarily for everyone here. After all, the worst enemy was trust itself. Such a thing that could so easily be manipulated. How pathetic of the universe. She would admit herself that she was a bit of a hypocrite herself in that one. Rukia, she had been the first one she had been able to hold such a meaningful conversation with. It was strange to think but in a way she supposed she did trust them. “If it makes anyone feel better, even though i live near here..I despise the cold as well. I haven't been able to build up a resistance to it just quite yet.” She would say with the slight bit of a chuckle. Her last bit of conversation there just simply more to try and lighten the mood here. After all before then everything had felt about just the slightest bit tense.
This was so awkward. Literally, arriving to the scene made her feel weird. She was being watched which made her a bit aggravated enough. She didn't like people just watching her. It was insulting and horrible for her. She HATED the feeling of being watched. Anyways, she crossed her arms as she was there... The situation just scrambled and messy. She threw her sword to her side and just went idle to listen in. Marcel would sneeze but before Cleo would excuse him... The Elemi excuses him for something he can't control. She kinda smiled at her, feeling something special about that girl. She seemed very nice to say. She would look at the other 'thing' and wasn't quite sure what to think about her. She seemed strange to her... Strange enough to get a negative vibe off her. However, she wasn't going to let negativity influence her mind for this. She sighed lightly, forgetting that her linking with the Elemi would allow her to communicate back.
Well, with the scientist's curiosity she asked Cleo about her power with the Psionic Rift. This was actually a first! She turned towards the Elemi, who was hovering above her and decided to gently land in front of her. "Ah... So, you are curious about my powers with the Psionic Rift? It's actually a very difficult thing to learn. They say... only a few can go through with this. However, there is a secret to the Psionic Rift," she said towards her in voice. She would pull forth her hand out and gently close her eyes... "Please stand back... I am still new to this..." she said as she began her demonstration. Her skull begins to emit a dark purple aura... An odd swoosh and swash is heard as suddenly a channel of purple-like ki would channel itself into her hand and create a vortex swirling around on top of her hand.
[Note that the bootup is actually her summoning the rift on her hand. The ambient noises you hear in this video is what can be heard, swirling the vortex]
A calm and yet so gentle swirl... Purple, soft, and yet beautiful. She would gently open her eyes and smile, keeping the channel flowing into the vortex that hovered over her hand. "This is a Psionic Rift. What you see here is actually ki being channeled passively. While most ki blasts are from the entire body, this ki is unique because it comes directly from the brain and no where else. You see there's a reason why this is very difficult. It's not about the race, it's about the brain. If your brain isn't damaged or doesn't lack any 'mental' requirements... It makes step one clear for you to learn the Psionic Rift. However, the hardest part is patience. This power is so strong... I was taught by a few 'masters' of this technique. However, their school was destroyed during my home's attack. Another thing you must understand... If you fail to use this right... Your brain could literally melt.... I mean.. melt like an ice cream. It's honestly not recommended if you don't feel comfy doing so. Though once you get it, you're set! The Psionic Rift has a lot of techniques still needing to be discovered but I've only discovered a couple. Telepathy being one and another I'd rather keep a secret. Please though, if you want to learn the Psionic Rift... I'll come find you when I'm officially ready to teach it," she explained in detail to her.
She have Arlumia a firm smile before making the psionic rift gently fad off, ending the soft, ambient, and dreamy effect it gave. Clearly... Cleo had something special about her mind.
Marcel did not at all expect any of this would occur. He simply got up this morning with the plan of exploring the North side of the world despite that pestering freezing temperature it was infamous for. Instead, he found himself meeting a young lady he was preparing to train with in the art of swordplay, but it would then take another turn as they find out that they were being spied on by another woman, and possibly this strange pink haired one as well, who was just giving off this strange, mixed ki that the demonic Saiyan couldn't really shake.
After Marcel asked his question, the blue eyed woman would turn around, and look up at the man before finally giving him, and Cleo an answer. It turns out that this woman here was actually planning on secretly observing the two sword wielders as they sparred for research purposes. Marcel's smile would turn to more of a plain state after finding out the truth. He was honestly not upset, nor angry about it, but was honestly not sure what to think of it. It isn't like anything like this has happened to him before....or at least not to his knowledge, which started to make him think for a bit. He didn't really mind it in the end however as having an audience could make things more interesting. He did however not understand how she, or ANYONE could live out in chilling place like this. Perhaps the man was just overreacting, but he really couldn't stand the cold. Speaking of the cold....out came that pesky sneeze of his which led to him apologizing for it.
Damn cold....
He'd then look back down at the spying woman who offer her hand up to the man. He found it a bit strange at first though. She was just caught red handed spying on people, and reacted by being honest, adding in a welcoming handshake. Though he only found it a bit strange mainly because he wasn't bothered by the spying to begin with. So with a light smile, Law would clasp the woman's hand with his gloved one in acceptance as she spoke again. "Oh, I couldn't agree with you more." Marcel claimed with a light chuckle, referring to her comment about not being adapted to this weather. She was certainly right about it, though the reason for him not being able to stand this cold stemmed from his demonic roots, something even the hybrid isn't aware of. The type of demons his father came from were ghostly in nature, the type that could leave chills down one's spines, even having ghostly like abilities that did so, but ironically, they couldn't stand the chilling temperatures caused by anything other than themselves. A pretty weird flaw, but everybody had at least one of those, right?
The woman introduced herself as Cryonia as well as adding in other stuff that peeked the man's curiosity. An Elemi? A race he has never heard of, yet she appeared mainly human in his eyes. Nothing really surprising as there were a lot of species like that including himself. A scientist for some reclamation effort as well? It certainly did explain a lot which further impressed the crimson eyed hybrid. "Well, I'm Marcel. Marcel Law." he'd bow his upper body a bit politely as he continued to shake her hand. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Cryonia, and as for your research, I can't speak for Lady Cleopatra, but I honestly don't mind. I'm actually a bit flattered in all honesty." he chuckled some as he rubbed the back of his head nervously with his free hand. It wasn't everyday someone found one interesting enough to research. A truly interesting person this Cryonia is. Then the odd pink haired one began to speak.
Marcel turned his head to face the other woman as she explained herself, seemingly just curious about all that was going on over here. She would then bring up sensing demon ki which quickly changed Marcel's expression from a warm one to one of regret as his grip on Cryonia's hand loosened if they were still clasped. The man was sensitive when it came to his demon half, and it was something he wished to not talk about, or have it brought up due to past issues with it. He'd then glance away at the three as Duvainel continued on. Of all the things, why did she have to bring that up? Perhaps the others weren't going to think much of it....he hoped. Even with Duvainel trying to lighten the mood, Marcel continued to look away. It was a touchy subject for him after all. "Y-yeah...." was all that was really able to escape his lips, his breathe visible due to the cold.
Then all of a sudden, Cleo would speak about something that just seemed random to Marcel, causing him to glance over to her with an eyebrow raised. He was of course not aware of the previous telepathic conversation, so Cleo just blurting that out made her look crazy at that moment in the man's eyes. He'd turn his head more towards Cleo as she started to demonstrate this "Psionic Rift" of hers. He watched the magic unfold, a weird ki signature, and aura coming from that woman's head as some swirling energy appeared in her hand. A rather interesting sight indeed. "That is a rather peculiar technique I have to say." he commented before he begun to think. She said something about telepathy if he recalled correctly. Perhaps he wasn't going crazy due to the cold after all like he thought earlier, causing the man to crack a small sheepish smile in embarrassment, cheeks glowing a faint red. "But one I wouldn't mind learning. It seems like something that could come in handy."
"I'm not critizing you for sneaking up on me. I'm critizing that poor excuse of trying to get behind me unawares. When someone moves with that speed, it typically means they intend to strike someone from behind. I made my presence very hard to detect and was a fair distance away from them. There's a difference between the two. One is more likely to get you killed then the other."
Cryonia had to resist throw a low level energy blast at person who introduced herself as Duvainiel. Who had introduced herself to be a hybrid of an hybrid. While yes, that would normally explain the large amount of different energy readings that were coming off of her, there still was something off about the energy she was sensing from her. There wasn't really anyway she could inquire into it without coming off as suspicious. At least not at the moment anyway. Although it was certainly worth it finding out more about her, considering that she just admitted to be able to wielding the Twilight element. Which technically wasn't even an element in the conventional sense. Although that made it all the more interesting to the Elemi scientist. She was going to do all she could to find out about this individual.
"I suppose your parents neglected to tell you about the nature of how Elemi abilities work. I'm going to have to simplify this to make it quicker to explain. Elemis are able to create and manipulate the element that they're able to control. Most inhabitable worlds have the ingredients needed to utilize their element. The most basic example being the creation of water. Since Hydrogen and Oxygen are two of the most common elements in existence, it's isn't a problem for a water Elemi to use those particles to create and manipulate water. That's just the easiest to understand example: there are many different ways an Elemi utilizes to manipulate their particular element. Fire is surprisingly one of the more complex elements a Elemi can manipulate despite it being a common ability. And of course, Twilight is much more difficult to utilize then all the examples I've given so far. You'll have to give me a demonstration of your abilities sometime. I've never encountered anyone with Elemi abilities who could use it, so seeing it in action would be most helpful."
To Cryonia's surprise, the human turned out to have quite a unique ability as well. Although the dangers of it became very apparent early on when she mentioned how it could backfire. Still, it did allow access to useful mental abilities such as telekinesis. And she implied that it had various other uses as well. Although sadly she didn't look like she was going to get a demonstration of those other techniques. Considering that she loved discovering new abilities, this disappointed the Elemi scientist a little bit. Although she didn't have to see it right away: if she played her cards right, one day she would be able to see more of this style.
"You're standing on the very edge of a cliff every time you use that ability then. With such a downside, it's potential must be impressive. I look forward to seeing how far you're able to take this technique."
And then there was the demon Saiyan hybrid Marcel. Honestly he was the one that Cryonia didn't have much of a first impression on as of right now. Aside from his unique bloodline, he hadn't displayed abilities that were particularly unique as of yet. He did seem nice enough though, and he was going to allow her to watch him spar the human. So he could still easily show off some rather interesting abilities. Cryonia's gave shifted between the three of them, her gaze finally settling on Marcel.
"I thank you for being so understanding. I am sorry for eavesdropping on you in such a matter, but it was a necessary thing to do. It's a basic rule among the scientific community. When observing something that isn't part of an experiment, it's best to mask your presence and watch things occur naturally. If you interfere or let your presence get known, it will potentially cause adverse effects among what you're observing, and the data you'll gather will likely be flawed. It seems I don't have to worry about that in this case though, fortunately for me. Pretend like I don't exist and spar like you were going to before you realized I was here."
