The break room positioned just behind the tournament grounds shook with the thunder of applause as Piyano sat peacefully awaiting his first round of the tournament. Outside cheers and jeers ricocheted off walls and stone, so that the thousands of voices in attendance could all be heard quite clearly. Whether from gambling bets, personal preferences, or dirty tricks upon the arena many in the crowd shouted their displeasure at the current fight. Almost a equal number cried out in pleasant surprise however as a fighter was finally announced as the winner. The ending match had been from participants in division three, powerful warriors who were just underneath what was expected of Piyano's own level.
The Namekian found no reason to gloat in the knowledge that he held a higher position than some, firstly the finalists of Division three would fight the finalists of division four as their respective powers weren't so drastically differing. A clever or determined fighter could still easily defeat a more powerful one. The second reason Piyano didn't feel superior was because there remained two divisions above his own, and the power he could sense from those fighters was truly terrifying. Piyano knew that no matter how he fared in the tourney he had already found a reason to further improve himself, as several fighters in attendance could utterly destroy him even with his own recent advances in power. If they could destroy him so simply... what could they do to planet Namek should they only have the desire?
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We hope you enjoyed that last fantastic match-up! Now we are pleased to bring you the first round of division four! Please welcome our fighters, the young Saiyan warrior Taido! AAAAAAAnd his opponent, the Namekian Piyano!" came the rumbling voice of the tournament announcer, a funny blond haired human with thick sunglasses. His voice amplified several dozen times through the impressive speaker system installed throughout the tournament grounds. With his name announced and his time have come Piyano stood up and stretched from his leg folded position on a comfortable couch in the break room and walked his way to the arena.
Leaving the cool and shadowed room Piyano emerged into the bright light of a sun at high noon, hanging far into the sky overhead. With his appearance much of the crowd cheered and applauded his slow approach up the steps to the raised stone arena. Much of those gathered were the many Namekians that had traveled with Piyano to attend this grand event, but nearly double their number was a mis-mash of Earthen races all of whom were here solely for their love of martial arts. Reaching the center of the ring Piyano gave a small wave to the crowd which initiated another chorus of cheers and jeers as the factions rooting for or against him made their voices heard.
The first one to the arena Piyano awaited his opponent, a Saiyan named Taido. Crossing his arms over his chest the Namekian settled in to patiently await the warrior that would battle him.

Tai gasped slightly as the sound of his name rung through his ears. The young boy had been sound asleep, laying horizontally across a bench inside of his side's waiting area. He figured catching a few additional Z's could lend to his grasp over victory. But, he didn't exactly count on how quickly his turn would come up. He, of course, sprang up to attention. Sitting up and rubbing his eyes with the back of his fist. A loud yawn escaping the boy's lips as he hopped from the bench and stretched out his limbs. The pressure was on but it didn't seem to offend him. Maybe because of the fact that two minutes ago, he was asleep soundly as could be. But, maybe when he was just a little more awake and he saw the ocean of people surrounding the arena, he'd become more sheepish or just aware in general. He'd just have to see, wouldn't he?
Tai cracked his knuckles, neck and everything else he possibly could. He'd need to be as limber as could be. Jumping in place, he had taken a few seconds to prep. He wasn't leaving everyone waiting for any particular reason. He knew he had to run outside right then, and he did. The youngster walking out from the safe embrace of the waiting room and out into the sunny world. The golden rays attacking his eyes for a moment before he quickly got used to them. His lips curved into an honest smile. It seemed like no matter what happened, the tournament environment he had to call home constantly made him smile. His childlike obnoxiousness faded off and a mature glow surrounded him whenever he was in a situation that required to participants to honestly duke it out. It made his Saiyan blood warm and make him all the more excited!
As Tai Mei walked down the strip and up to the stage, he had waved happily to the crowd. Some were surprised that a child was competing and some who had seen him before boomed in cheers. Of course, there were many who jeered due to him defeating their favorites. None of that mattered right now, though. As Tai looked forward, now, and set his sights on Piyano. He had walked a good deal forward and up to his opponent. Raising his hand and fist, placing his knuckles gently against his palm. Normally, that would've been considered a taunt of sorts. But, he then proceeded to bow his torso forward. A form of greeting and good will for him and his Aunt. "Hey! Good luck, okay, big guy?" He said, looking up and placing his hands by his side. A few steps had to be taken so they had an equal amount of spacing. If there was one thing you could say about Tai, it was that he was an honest kid. His hands were then raised, fists in front of his face. His body bouncing slightly, getting him just a tiny bit worked up in order to move when he had to. An childlike smile continuing to adorn his face as he assumed the position of battle. Piyano PL: 110,000 Suppressed PL: 1
Standing calmly in the ring as he waited, Piyano was pleased to see that his fellow contestant wasn't going to make him wait long. Despite Piyano's serene patience the crowd did not feel the same as the Namekian fighter. As soon as Taido, or Tai Mei as some knew him began his walk down the paved slab that lead to the raised arena a thunderous boom exploded from the gathered Earthlings. "Mhm, home field advantage." Piyano whispered to himself as those gathered to watch the event cheered strongly in young Tai's favor. As much as it never felt good to be the underdog Piyano was actually quite pleased to see so many people supported his opponent, if nothing else it meant that Taido was skilled.
Watching as the purple haired youth begin his walk towards the stage, arms overhead to wave to the crowd; Piyano reached out with his senses to feel the boy's power. The Namekian was surprised to sense such a low level of energy coming off the boy, but surprise did not equal belief. Many times Piyano had witnessed children, teens and other individuals of youth reveal that they possessed powers far beyond the realm of many adult figures. Plus Piyano had read the rules of the tournament, fighters had been placed into their divisions based on a reading of ones unrestrained capabilities. Tai Mei may currently read weaker than a wet napkin, but the Namekian didn't buy that for a moment, it simply meant this child was smart enough to conceal his true strength.
Finally reaching the stage Taido placed his knuckles to his open palm and bowed in polite greeting, even offering Piyano a few words of luck. Bringing one arm to his side and bending his other at the elbow to lay across his abdomen Piyano bowed in greetings as well, believing respect should always be returned when offered. "You as well young one, may you fight to the best of your skills." Piyano replied after returning to a upright position. Seeing both contestants ready and in the arena the announcer swung his microphone into a quick spin by it's cord before catching the mouth piece with his clenched fist.
"Alright, alright, ALRIGHT! The moment you have all been waiting for ladies and gentlemen! Let the Division four first round BEGIN!" the shade wearing man yelled into his mic before spinning in place and jumping off the side of the arena to get clear of the fighting zone.
Cleared to begin the contest Piyano quickly eyed his small challenger, the kid would likely have to utilize speed to make up for Piyano's larger size and limbs, which meant the Namekian would have to corner the youth; or at least surprise him. Grinning the Namekian came in with a fast charge, seemingly stepping from across the arena in a single fluid motion of speed. Appearing before Taido with his right side leading Piyano's right arm was raised as if to swipe his clawed hand down upon the youngster, light glinting from his talons. The Namekian's claw never came down however, as his trailing left leg swung in for a swift kick at the purple haired fighter, intending to kick the child right out of the ring!
The fight had begun! How exciting! The hard-headed youth had watched as his opponent zipped forth and to his side. Attention now fixed onto Piyano. The crowd that once supposedly motivated him now meant nothing to him. Nothing at all. Only he and Piyano were alive right now. Being a hard-headed fool, Taido wasn't one to fall for feints, unfortunately. As he braced himself for the impact of his foe, he wasn't all too surprised to find that a feint had gone his way. A heavy leg crashing into the youth's torso. Knocking the wind directly out of him, he was forced to gasp and make an audible 'Ptooey!' sound effect. His eyes widened momentarily, but his feet remained on the ground. His shoes gripping down on the tiled arena they had stood upon. Tai did stumble back a good deal, however. Not reaching the edge of the legal ground, though.
He recovered quite quickly, though. In his head, this was all a big game. Not just a matter of prize money or anything like it. They were playing for fun and potential EXP. Taido grinned from ear to ear as he regained his bearings, winding his limbs up and taking off into Piyano. His arms swinging to and fro with great ambition, he had taken a quick hop forward. Closing their distance between one another and revealing his true strength. A good one hundred and ten thousand! Not bad for someone his size, but he didn't exactly compare to the underlying, monstrous strength being boasted by Piyano. Truly, one would have to be incredibly humble in order not to flaunt such strength about. That or simply careful or cautious, as gigantic power levels attracted evil. Taido focused, though. As he used his ability to fly to level out the height difference between he and the gargantuan Namekian leader.
Several minor punches issued forth. His hands taking turns shooting out and retracting, his precision and speed rivaling that of the most modern and efficient machinery. However, his true attack only showed after he threw few punches. In a spark of movement, his left fist moved out in a flash. His lips pushing out several words with each move he made. At once, his closed fist was shot forth. "Jan!" He shouted, hoping he would land a clean hit on Piyano's cheek. "Ken!" He bellowed, next putting two fingers out and hoping to lightly poke his opponent's eyes. "Pon!" He finished, now shooting an open palm for the center of Piyano's face. His favorite technique would kick off this battle. It was worth noting something, though: All of his strikes were not in the name of cheating or making a fool of the opponent. He simply found that using the childish game of Rock-Papers-Scissors in battle was way more useful than people thought. The element of surp[rise and just strangeness was what carried the usefulness of the attack. Nevertheless! This initiated Taido's quote-on-quote serious mode. Whatever that meant!Revealed true PL! Attempted to use [OT-1] Jan-Ken-Pon for 25% of 110,000 (Dealt 27,500) Stamina: 2/3
Charging forth with his attack Piyano watched as the purple haired youth braced himself for the Namekian's strike, but the boy's eyes were focused upon Piyano's raised claws. His kick slammed home with enough force to send most foes flying, yet Taido grimaced through the pain. Wind left the youth's lungs and he slide back several feet, but the child remained well within the official arena signaling that Piyano wouldn't managed to win this fight so quickly and easily. Recovering quickly the young Saiyan/Elemi hybrid came back with a smile. The kid stretched and waved his arms as he hop stepped the distance between them. The gravity of Tai Mei's hop came with added weight as the young man released his restraints; suddenly the boy went from no power at all to a massive amount. Energy radiated from Taido in waves, the sheer amount of power from one so young was plenty impressive in its own right, but how effectually the child had kept his strength concealed was something truly deserving of respect in Piyano's eyes.
Watching as Tai took to the air to equalize the pair's height however Piyano was forced to smirk at the kids inexperience. By flying to equal Piyano's eye level the child had set himself up not just for attacks from below, but had also allowed Piyano to attack from any number of formations. Had Tai Mei stayed upon the ground Piyano would have been forced to fight at a downward angle, restricting his methods of assault. Still Piyano could not judge the child too harshly, not long ago Taido would have been his equal; not to much longer ago than that the kid would have flattened Piyano without effort. Given time and proper training Taido could like surpass Piyano's current abilities in just a few weeks time.
Taido launched several punches than, quick short jabs designed to find openings in Piyano's defenses. The Namekian efficiently blocked or evaded the small assault, waiting to see what the Saiyan boy would do next, a honest curiosity requiring him to allow Taido the chance to attack him back. Once Taido felt he had found a opening the kid attacked for real, a hard clenched fist snapping out for Piyano's cheek! Oddly enough the kid shouted along with his technique, seemingly screaming some kind of warning in line with his fists taking shape before launching forth. Tilting his chin out to the side and leaning back Piyano avoided Tai's rock fist, seeing to fingers extend on the lads hand Piyano brought his palm up in a straight line before his nose, catching the youths scissor attack.
Last came the open palm, Taido shouting something about paper with his attack, already leaning back from the first two blows the Namekian simply decided to let himself fall backwards and avoid the blow. Taido's palm slammed nothing but air as the flexible Namekian fell into a backwards somersault, rolling several feet back before springing to his feet with a grin lighting his features. "Your not bad kid, a few people in the earliest rounds of this tournament would have been left blacked out from that attack." Piyano said with honest appreciation of Taido's speed and power. "You wanna see something cool?" the Namekian asked suddenly.
Not truly waiting for a response Piyano punched his arm forward, seemingly for no reason as nearly seven feet of arena separated the fighters. When the Namekian's arm reached what should have been the limit of his reach however, his arm simply stretched and kept going! Snapping forth like a green missile Piyano's fist flew across the arena, aiming to slam Taido right between his eyes.
"Agh..!" Taido growled in disappointment, a bit peeved that none of his attacks were successful. Well, he did have to consider that he called out the names of his attacks, which served as a form of telegraphing. But, he didn't exactly think about that right about now. What he was thinking about, was how he was then asked a question. If he wanted to see something cool. Well, before he was even given a chance to respond, this 'cool' thing was displayed right before him. As he found himself standing on the ground, and a few meters separating them. The perfect amount of distance needed for Piyano to use one of his own, natural, abilities. Tai hadn't a clue what to expect, so it was clear to think that the moment an arm was extended well beyond the normal limits it should have, he was noticeably dumbfounded by it. The attack a definite success, and landing the youngster onto his rear and sliding against the pavement of the arena. Dazed a little, he hadn't an idea on what to do! Tai rose from his downed position and assumed a more defensive stance. Waiting on Piyano to move, before he did.
The youth Taido took Piyano's stretchy punch right to the face! Which in turn knocked the lad on his rump and pushed him back along the surface of the arena a few feet before Piyano's arms sucked back into him, returning to normal size and length. Piyano expected the lad to charge him in anger from the way the fight had been going so far, but was surprised as Taido got back on his feet and assumed a defensive stance. If Piyano had to guess the young Tai Mei was used to dominating opponents in fights, his unnaturally high level of power for his age carrying him to victory every time. It was why the child didn't practice any particular martial art style, it was why he shouted his Jan-Ken-Pon before he attacked. In truth Taido was actually quite a skilled fighter, he simply came less prepared than Piyano had.
"You possess great potential young man. I sense a untapped wellspring within you, the capacity for great deeds. Should you brush with a little training of course." Piyano said as he watched Taido assume his defensive stance. The boy made a smart decision in waiting for Piyano to attack next, it would allow him a better opportunity to formulate a counter against the bigger, stronger Namekian. However it also meant Taido would have to be reactive instead of proactive throughout the rest of the fight, the child was gambling he could take whatever Piyano could dish out. "If you ever find yourself upon planet Namek do please look me up. I would like to see how you grow in the future." Piyano finished standing calmly straight and tall, his hands clasped behind his back patiently.
Than the Namekian began to whistle, a soft tune native to his people. At first it seemed as if Piyano was attempting to wait Taido out, a test of patience; such was not the case however. Ki focused along the base of Piyano's throat and jaw as his lips released his mystical tune, a simple assault with energy laced sound waves flowed off the man, filling the arena with static power. Once the sound of Piyano's whistle was heard it was near impossible to escape, a attack meant to be suffered through instead of avoided. With a quick intake of air through his nose Piyano suddenly and sharply changed his pitch, the sound of his whistling taking on a sudden sinister set of ambient tones. The space all about the arena suddenly turned from static to charged as electric zaps crackled all about the two fighters and Piyano knew that soon too would Taido feel the shocking sting of his technique.

The youth watched his opponent carefully. His eyes far from intimidating but his gaze quite impressive. It was quite the show, truthfully. A miniature warrior fighting a greater, big alien from the stars who likely had greater discpline than the Earthling. Tai wondered just what his opponent had in store for him. It was kind of eery, how he hadn't decided to attack. But instead decided he would whistle. Some freakish, creepy tune. Of course, he didnt exactly mind at first. After all, why would he chastise someone for whistling? It was only after a few seconds of listening that the effects would set in. Utter agony overtook the youth's hearing! He groaned in pain and quickly clapped his own ears with the palms of his hands. It hurt his head! He fell to his knees. This type of pain was foreign but also familiar. He sometimes had ear aches or sharp pains in his ears that lasted a second or two, but this one. This one was continuous! Taido was helpless, he hated this! He fell to his knee, totally open!
Much as Piyano had suspected the young fighter would, Taido's curiosity got the better of him and the purple haired youth allowed Piyano to whistle on uninterrupted. Such a mistake was costly on a battlefield and could have potential cost Taido his life if he made such poor judgments in the future. Piyano could not fault the boy to hard however, Piyano himself had made similar mistakes in his own adventures and he had been much older at the time. It wasn't long before Taido suffered the effects of Piyano's technique, the haunting whistle once heard, could not be avoided, only by blocking out the sound instantly could the pain be stalled. Watching as Taido dropped to his knees, hands cupping his ears as he dealt with the shock no doubt crippling his ears.
Part of Piyano felt bad about using such a technique on a child, but it wouldn't kill Tai Mei, Piyano was sure of that. Seeing the boy endure was endearing in its own way as the crowd was now largely supporting the youth, a underdog story of the ages. Piyano truly wished he could allow Tai Mei to win, but the prize money could do a lot of good on planet Namek. Plus Piyano knew some of the people Tai Mei would battle against next even should he pass the first round. Despite how it all seemed the Namekian was taking it easy upon Taido, many of those to come wouldn't. Killing may be against the rules but injury was not, and Piyano suspected the next few rounds would witness no shortage of violence.
Seeing Taido upon the ground Piyano decided it was time to end things, there was no reason to test the youth any further, no reason to cause him more pain. Still whistling despite the power of his assault having begun to wane, Piyano seemed to take a single step across the arena to appear before his opponent. The Namekian didn't gloat or smile, he offered no words as he pulled a fist from behind his back, cocked it at the elbow, and attempted to drive his fist home with a powerful punch to Taido's stomach. The attack could send the kid flying out of the ring to the soft grass surrounding it, or it could merely double him over in more pain. The only thing Piyano hoped the blow would do was end this fight.

"Wow! We've had quite a handful of exciting matches, haven't we? For those tuning in from home, here's a recap of the winners from each division~ Division 1 had the Elemi Spark going up against the Angelean Sarai. Both fighters did their best in entertaining you guys, but maybe a bit too well~ In a stunning turnabout both fighters were knocked out, but Spark had just too many penalties down for the count, making Sarai the winner!
Our second Division 1 fight was a little hazy on our end, but involved Heizen, the "Jackal Demon", going up against the Saiyan, Artikone! Maybe it was just a bad day for his opponent, but Heizen was the one who moved onto the next round~ Though we really hope to see more of Artikone in the future. Saiyans are a fun bunch, aren't they?
Our Division 2 fight kicked off with the Anubian Sinthe, against the "Demi-God" Suusao! They had a bit of a back and forth with their difference in speed, but Sinthe managed to take home the win with a powerful blast! What a good kitty~ Division 2 of our second fight involved the two hybrids, Duvainel and Marcel. Another hazy fight we're looking into, so we'll be moving onto our other divisions! Division 3 had humans Cleopatra and Galen, who gave quite a show.
These two seemed to know each other, but fought very hard to entertain the crowd~ In the end, Galen was the one who proceeded to the next round. Fight 2 of Division 3, along with most of our other divisions, have yet to end. Though one match you must have certainly been looking forward to, is Elemi Flare going up against the Saiyan Nasu!
Both fighters fought harder than our first Division 3 match, displaying power and speed I'm sure many of you were glad to be here for~ Though in the end, the win had went to the Saiyan Nasu, who will move onto the next round with the other winners! Those divisions who still have ongoing matches, please be aware that time is running out. We hope to see each match end with something excited for our audience's viewing pleasure. Take care!"
Note: The deadline for Round 1 will be Monday, so be sure to get your fights wrapped up.
