Backstory:
Kinko was born on Earth, and raised in Satan City. Being born of the Hosokowa name wasn’t much to brag upon, but it carried some weight in the Eastern Islands. Her father Juunto Hosokowa (the owner and founder of the Hosokowa Martial Arts Academy) wasn’t too hard on her in regards to what she would do in life. Growing up with a father for a Saiyan and a human for a mother, Kinko was always conflicted with both sides of her lineage. She was never sure if she wanted to train to eventually become more like her father, or if she wanted to study books and become a school teacher like her mother.
By the time the girl reached her early teenage years she’d made up her mind by then. That she would follow her father’s footsteps, and while her mother wasn’t too happy for her decision she supported her daughter. Kinko began training under her father alongside a troublesome boy she met named Suusao. Suusao was a half-blooded Saiyan much like herself, and she’d met the boy during a time he’d rescued nearly over one hundred citizens from a collapsing building. While she was intrigued by his courageousness, she was slightly annoyed by his cockiness. She was even more annoyed when the two began training, but of course after a little while the boy began growing on her.

Kinko sat in her room studying for her math exam that was coming up. She had been studying the same material for days, and it still hadn't clicked. After redoing a problem she had already redone numerous times, she gave up and ventured off to Suusao's room. She knocked first, but got no response. She began to wonder where he could have been. She was pretty sure he wasn't being tutored by her mother who'd chastised her recently for studying at the last minute, and she didn't recall him nor her father mentioning training for the day.
Walking into the kitchen, she saw her mother her preparing dinner. "Hey, have you seen Suusao?" Kinko questioned her mother gaining her attention. Her mother smiled softly before answering, "He left for the day because he wanted you to focus on math". Kinko squinted her blue eyes at her mother for a moment before shrugging and walking away. She continued walking around the house to find Suusao since she knew her mother had lied just to get her to study.
Walking past her father's study she paused after she'd seen a figure. Noticing that the stature was different than her father's, she recognized it as Suusao's. Sneaking up on him she attempted to startle him. After noticing that he wasn't even the slightest bit frightened she spoke, "I'll scare you one day. What are you doing?".
Suusao only glanced at her for a split second before looking straight ahead. Sighing Kinko stood next to him in silence and she could hear sizzling even though her father's study was soundproof. Her friend's mental capacity had reached it's max when she noticed steam emitting from the boy's ears. The boy seemed to have got a hold of her old calculus book, and knew no fighter could best him better than a math book. She smirked and grabbed the book out of his hand. Shaking her head she glanced at him before asking "Is mother making you do this?". Suusao narrowed his eyes at her out of his lack of understanding what she'd found amusing about his confused state. Suusao sat down and decided to tell her why he'd even dared to pick up a textbook, "Your mom told me that you were studying for math, and I slipped up and told her that I hadn't really ever studied math on Namek. She then decided that having me read a calculus book would help me catch up to you".
Kinko giggled before making her way towards the door. She spun around and glanced at Suusao adding, "You have a long way to go in order to catch up to me in the math department. I took calculus two years ago". With that she turned around preparing to leave, but before she could she felt Suusao grab one of her pigtails. "Don't get too cocky. Had you not disturbed me, I would have learned that entire book." Suusao snarled walking out of the room. Kinko smiled and watched him walk away knowing that her being better than him in something hurt his ego.
