Although not one to really smile brightly, the serious expression on her face is a lot kinder than several of those she knows, being more one she considers to be neutral. It's pretty obvious however, when the girl is thinking.

However, there's a difference between recognizing these changes, and acting upon them. While those she met have either succumbed to their desires of power or have even feared it, she had managed to stay in-between. The abilities that came with being a Vampire were a gift, although one that shouldn't be used too often, lest one be tempted into power.
It should also be nothing to fear, knowing that it was actions that led to a shift in balance on either side. She liked to think that although she now had newfound abilities as well as a long life ahead of her, she was still the same person as she used to be, back when she was human. The type to look out for those who needed to be pushed, and gave a decision she saw as final. Decisions that led to consequences would be that of her own fault.

Before she had met Miki, leader of her group, and ally of Rukia, she was human. One who recognized when someone needed to be talked to, and was willing to do it, no matter if her relationship with them was nonexistent.
She wanted to truly help them, but she also wanted to have a balance, knowing just how the world could be, with the numerous groups that inhabited the planet. Things that differentiated from the norm, such as depression, could potentially lead to a chain of events which would make it possible for her school's atmosphere to change.
Dealing with things before it became that sort of issue, was what she felt to be a necessity, however the results of doing so she saw as final. Success or failure, it was better to take a single route, and one which could be put behind her after doing what she could to help. She wasn't persistent, but aware there was an extent to effort.
Trying to go past what she felt was enough, would be favoring one side over the other. Her turning into a Vampire, was decision that happened upon hearing something about a battle in the forest, while walking through her city one day.
Discussion that was spoken of by two men, nothing out of the ordinary, beyond what they were speaking of. Confronting them hadn't been necessary, having known that they were likely talking about the one outside of town.
Putting aside her plans that day to look into what she found curious, she stumbled upon a coven discussing how they wanted to ambush another group, later leading to a proposal into becoming a Vampire herself. The group was outnumbered without her, but was still confident they would be able to at least hold their own and tire the other side out.
Her acceptance was of interest in evening things out, but beyond that, she didn't see the point of sticking around after. The time for battle had came in the next coming days, where she witnessed the lack of form around.
She was a highschooler, and while she had no experience in fighting, she didn't need one to recognize when posture was off. They won with several injuries, although now her thoughts about staying with this group the past few days, had changed into wanting to refine the way that things were around here. A decision she would come to regret.
In the time that she had spent with this coven, she had watched her leader grow power hungry. Those they considered to be enemies were beaten or killed with a certain force behind it which she found to be rather unnecessary.
But she recognized voicing her opinion, wasn't something which would be wise. And what kept her from choosing the path of mutiny, was that she hadn't been prevented from leaving, when she had decided she had seen enough.
Something which although she had hoped would last, she could already see would change. When the time had came around to where she was prevented from leaving, Miki had joined the group, and didn't hesitate in sharing her grievances.
The brunette was an imbalance to their structure, and one which she had hoped would drive to the coven's downfall. This interaction with the girl had only solidified this hope, and with the help of a more experienced coven, the leader and his subordinates were taken out. She, Miki, along with another Vampire who was in the coven before her, had gone on to make their own. To correct the mistakes that this one could make, had been her new goal.
Their first step of which was to fix the imbalance of being just a trio.

An only child like several of those Rukia is associated with, she also had a relatively normal life. Her parents were around just enough, and while she had no siblings, she did spend time at a friend's house, or vice versa.
Even so, there were still those who attribute her tendency to be quiet, as something related to her childhood. A belief that was false, and comments which should have offended her, but was actually rather easy to shrug off.
There was no mystery behind it, in her perspective. The fact of the matter was, there wasn't much she had to say for herself, compared to the ease that others found in discussing whatever it was that went on in their lives.
Her life was something she considered uninteresting compared to others, and although the lives of those she was around weren't too much different, there was something about just being with them in general, which she was fond of.
The company of others was one to be treasured. Or so she had been told by her parents when she was young. It was advice that she had consciously followed, but in times when she couldn't find amusement, they were words she looked back on. Her turning into a Vampire, like most, involved following someone who already was a Vampire.
However similar encounters might have been though, the reasons for accepting being turned, was always both different and personal. Some people took it for solely power, while others did so to want to change something about themselves.
For her however, she had come to realize the night she had turned, that she liked the idea of being apart of something. It was the drive that got her through the constant battles the leader of her coven liked to seek, despite their group being few in number. Injuries had always been sustained, though nothing they couldn't recover from.
People had come and gone in the group, either successfully leaving, or falling by the hand of her leader, who was clearly power hungry. Nothing which she opposed of, beyond a few hand gestures behind her leader's back.
Around the time that Natsumi had joined the group, they were going to chase away a coven who had been settling within the area. Some preparations were made before the ambush to get the new girl ready, and within those days, her presence had been rather established in the group, as someone who was a quick learner. Someone who had potential.
The battle had been won, and the days after had the other girl fixing what she saw was incompetent. Through other battles, it was clear Natsumi was also displeased at the behavior of their leader, though it wasn't until Miki had joined, that they worked on getting help in overthrowing him. They went onto create their own coven, where Miki acted as leader, and the plans their group was involved in, was one which she found to be a lot better morally.
Changing that wasn't something she wanted to see.
