"Oh, Suusao my boy it is very good to see you again." The mayor greeted Suusao with open arms and clenched Suusao's upper arm, shaking him about out of excitement. The boy blushed slightly when he overheard the banter of women. "It's good to see you too Mayor. I take it there haven't been any more robot sightings?" As of late, the boy felt as if things were too peaceful, and without any of his friend's being attacked he wondered if they'd finally given up. "Oh no no no no. In fact, I was notified by the authorities that they'd be removing those scoundrels from the cave. Whether they were successful or not I'm not entirely sure. Our guards haven't seen any sign of the mechanical menace since then."
The Mayor spoke with a lot of confidence behind his words. Suusao raised an eyebrow when he was informed the law was involved. Never did had he expected this planet's law enforcement to be capable of such feats. The boy didn't expect anyone to successfully apprehend them, and cause little to no collateral damage at that. "Well, that's good to hear then. Glad that everything was taken care of, but I don't mean to leave in a hurry, I was just simply dropping by to see how the village was doing. I'll just be on my way." Suusao quickly turned away from the Mayor before preparing to ascend, but something still didn't sit right with him. That was when it would seem there was more information that needed to be shared. "Wait, now before you go...Suusao my boy if you would join me in my office. There actually is a matter I would like to discuss with you...but, away from the other villagers. If you would be so kind."
The boy turned around to see a concerned look plastered across the Mayor's face. Something tragic must have happened for sure, and if he was to guess, then it would have something to do with the robotics factory in the mountains. Nodding his head trying to reassure the mayor, giving him a little piece of mind. The subject must have been grimmer than he expected. The mayor made haste and the boy followed close. As they made their way across the village the boy still managed to catch the eyes of many. The villagers greeting him with a warm welcome. While the mayor waved to his fellow citizens, "They have no idea what is going on. Why would he keep his people in the dark?" The two males approached a three-story building that served as the village's town hall. In front stood two guards covered from head to toe, while on top of the building he could sense four mediocre power levels. Apparently, the four figures on the roof must have served as the real muscle, and the two men up front were just for show. However, if the real guards completely masked their power, it would make their tactic more effective, and a lot harder to point them out.
Inside the town hall, Suusao noticed many of the guards looked identical. Why would the mayor hire guards that looked alike, was far beyond his own comprehension. The office secretary waved at the Mayor, while others minded their own, and tended to their work. Suusao thought that maybe an elevator being in the dead center of a building, might be pushing the safety envelope, but then he noticed how strategic each of his guards was stationed all around. The blonde smirked giving this human a little more credit than before. The elevator just like the guards out front was just a ploy on attackers. The assailants would be overpowered before they ever made it past the front desk. The mayor punched in a code for the elevator and the doors opened with another two guards inside. Their power levels weren't being suppressed at all, but he couldn't sense them before concluding that the elevator served as a suppressant. All this muscle was beginning to impress Suusao, beginning to wonder how strong each of these guards was, and wondered if they might be any kind of challenge.
Once inside the elevator, Suusao was surprised at how many sub-floors there were located beneath the building. "Woah! That's a lot of floors Mayor. Why do you need so many just for this place?" The mayor chuckled aloud pressing the B-21 button, and the elevator dinged as the doors closed slowly. "Well, Suusao. We created many of the floors for safety. In an emergency, the first ten sub-floors serve as emergency housing. All of which are citizens are able to inhabit, comfortably, and the next two floors are extra space. My lovely little village grows every year you know. As Mayor, it is my sole to take into account the safety and well-being of all of Jingle Villages citizens." Thinking about why he may have kept certain things from the villagers made sense, but it seemed that he had everything planned out. Almost like he was able to know any and everything that was to happen before it happens. Suusao couldn't help applaud the Mayor's readiness for an emergency.
The elevator door would finally open to reveal a waiting room. Only here the atmosphere was far different than the hectic one up above. The only life that resided at the bottom of the village were, two hard-faced individuals providing a whole different feel to the layout. A fire burned in a fireplace off to the left wall opposite of the Mayor's office and a few dark leather couches sat facing opposing each other with a stone table in the middle. A single chair stood alone on the side of the table opposite the offices under a massive man. His extremely rough features seemed closer to a bear than a man. The fur he was wearing suggested he was a hunter, and his massive hands tapped dark claws on the slightly shredded arm of the chair. Next to him was a slumbering Kodiak bear. The beast with its huge form laid to one side seeming to enjoy the heat of the flames. The other side of the office was laid out with a redwood desk, a woman wearing reading glasses that rested upon the tip of her pointed nose, shot a glance away from her computer screen. Her blond hair was tied back into a knot but what stood out was her blue colored skin. Her bright green eyes looked up as she took in the young man's appearance.
Both of them watched him with a mixed but level gaze. One with almost animal like silver eyes and the other with green eyes. The bear shifted ever so slightly from its position and opened on a big brown eye. Sniffing the air for a moment before relaxing again with a huff. As it did so both of them seemed to relax a bit. The bear was trained to detect the slightest bit of malice based on scent. It relaxing meant there was very little chance that a threat managed to make its way down here on the elevator. "Geez. The level of security for this building is intense." Still the big bear man went back to shifting through a fairly thick novel as the door would slide closed behind Suusao. The mayor made way towards his office and greeted both of his personal bodyguards. The woman, on the other hand, would look at Suusao with a raised eyebrow and a look of impatience if he didn't step too. Either way, once he approached her desk (As one would have to pass her desk to proceed) she would speak with a calm authority. "You must be the kid who helped out with our little robot problem. Well, you are the looker I will say. The mayor can't seem to shut up about you. Ever since the other day I figured you show, sooner or later."
The boy was flattered and a little awe-stricken by the humanoid alien's looks. Putting his thoughts aside as he passed her desk, there was an archway curving into a single hallway leading to a pair of double doors. Reinforced katchin from the look of them, the hardest metal in the universe, well at least that's what his sister told him anyway. The front of the office was like a bunker. One way in. Still, the moment the mayor would touch the doors as they would slowly open at his touch and what the secretary meant would be revealed. The room itself was suffocatingly heavy. It was as if the density of it was pouring out, dragging him down while pressing him back at the same time. This room must have been created to nullify Ki energy, and this must have been the icing on the cake for this place. This was by far the most sophisticated place he'd ever seen. "Shall we, my boy." The mayor crossed the threshold taking a seat at his desk, and Suusao would follow behind him.
No windows lined the room, but instead, it was a big oval office made entirely of the metal katchin, designed to resemble that of a log cabin. Framed portraits of the previous Mayor's lined the walls in thick frames along the wall the door shared with them. On one side was a fireplace with a fire flickering wildly. A lion skin rug marked the floor in front of it with two red leather chairs, one on either side each with a small table to their right. On the back wall was shelves with a stone desk in the center and one big chair behind it with two little chairs in front of it. A single glass of scotch rattled on the desk under the pressure and a cigar butt rested on the other end in an ashtray. On the wall opposite the fireplace was a chilled liquor cabinet. Dozens of different alcohols lined inside and dripped with condensation along the windows. A single box of cigars rested on the prep counter next to the glasses set there. It was actually fairly warm in there. "Now Suusao what I am about to show you is gruesome. Something that even I didn't understand in the beginning. Are you prepared for this?" The boy took a seat in one of the chair's, as the mayor took out a cigar, and plucked it into his mouth before going on into further detail. "These are a series of videos and audio recordings that were delivered through a pod. The Brenchian woman Mako that you just saw at the desk deciphered the information on the devices that were in the pod. Then, she was able to upload them to this computer. This video compilation contains footage of her homeworld being overrun...by the Saiyan Galactic Kingdom.

It was hard for Suusao to turn away from the computer monitor with each passing second infuriating him. The sound of cracking could be heard near the bar. Along with crackling from the fireplace as the flame started to flicker clinging to life under pressure. Just when the boy had thought he'd seen it all. The last video began to play only showing bits and piece of what appeared to be a diplomatic encounter. Many of these people seemed to be warriors, stood before one lone soldier, who appeared to be of Saiyan origin based upon his attire. There was static as the Mayor banged on the monitor and the picture returned clear once more. Fixing his eyes on the scene once again, the only thing this particular video lacked was audio, and Suusao was in shock at the sight of all the warriors kneeling. Could he have forced them to kneel before him, maybe he was mind controlling them, but the picture went out before he could see what happened? Suusao grabbed ahold of the screen shaking it vigorously, watching a short instance of the Saiyan shooting an energy beam, and watched as the leader of the Brenchians fell to his knees.
"NO! What!? Why would he do that?!? I know how to read body language, that man was the leader of that band of Brenchians! He just...He just killed him! Without even a second thought!!!" Suusao looked at the Mayor with rage in his eyes, the boy's irises shifting between blue and green repeatedly. "Please Suusao. Calm yourself you must continue watching till the end!" The Mayor doing his best to calm the hot-blooded young man, pressing a button that would call in his personal guards, as they barged through the room. With just his hands the large beastly man grabbed Suusao restraining him. At the same time, the Brenchian woman placed her hands upon the boy's temples, and a strange melody began to play within the boy's head. It was a soothing song similar to the songs that his mother would sing to Kuuyomi and himself as children. The boy started coming back to his senses slowly, shaking his head back and forth, "I'm fine." The boy said under his breath unable to be heard, as the Mayor raised an eyebrow, and the Brenchian removed her hands. The mayor gave a nod signaling the large man to release Suusao but still remained behind the boy. "Please Suusao. Just continue to watch the video. We will discuss shortly."
Clicking a single button on his keyboard the video began to play this time it was crystal clear. The Saiyan seemed to have turned his back on the group speaking into some sort of communication device. The video cut out only to pick up in a small village, showing a small camp of Brenchians, overrun by a horde of Saiyans. "NO!" The sounds of cries and explosions are all that followed, and only the image of a small child would appear. With tears in her eyes shaking her mother to awaken, Suusao knew that it would do no good, but a child would never understand this kind of situation. Again the video cut out once more, back at the site of the meeting, but all the men were scattered about. All covered in their own blood except one who somehow managed to fight, and was substantially larger than his brethren. The camera began to move away slowly panning out from the fight, as the group of Saiyan warriors focused on the large Brenchian, and was eventually taken down as one of them managed to snap its neck. They all focused on the attention of the camera, as they all approached, smacking away whatever recording device was used, the cameraman was being carried away. Fighting off his assailant's to get back to the camera, calling out to someone, a name that couldn't be made out. "I have yet to see this portion of the video." The man screamed aloud cursing at his assailant's, the speech was in their native tongue, and the woman that stood beside Suusao gasped.
The mayor looked up to his assistant who's eyes filled with tears, collapsing into the chair beside Suusao, "That man. That man was my...was my father!" The woman completely lost herself breaking down in tears. Suusao sat in the chair opposite motionless as if he was turned into stone. The boy's bright blue eyes turned into a dull steel like hue. The mayor sat back in his chair completely awe stricken. The only one among the four who was unbothered by the scenes was the largest. A few minutes went by before any sound was made. To no surprise it was the Mayor to break the silence, clearing his throat gathering his thoughts, "Ahem. Suusao. Now, of course, you may be wondering why I may have shown you that. I had no idea about those final scene's, nor was I aware that was your father Mako. If you would please forgive my ignorance. You may go and return to your duties. I thank you for your assistance. Kuma I would like you to stay please." The large man nodded. At the same time, Suusao's dulled eyes watched the Brenchian woman muster up the strength to miraculously exit the room.
As the large doors closed behind her the Mayor cleared his throat once again. "That was a very horrific event that took place on that planet. I only hope that that day is ever to come our way. Now for the real reason, I showed you that video. Kuma." Suusao could hear rustling from behind him, and a small sack was dropped in his lap. With the knot around the sack loosening up revealing multiple items within. "In that sack are a few items we have managed to scavenge for. A small bean that is said to have mystical healing powers, but sadly we only were able to obtain one of them. A capsule containing a spacepod equipped with a cloaking unit and fitted with a quad drive. All manufactured right here in Jingle Village might I add. We also added about four minor healing capsules." Suusao looked into the sack to see that all of the items were inside. A confused expression was on the boy's face unsure as to what the Mayor was getting at. "Mayor. I honestly have no idea why you would be giving me this stuff. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to accept this. But I just want to know...why?"
For the first time unexpectedly the large beastly man spoke. It must have been the Mayor's first time hearing the man's voice as well. The man perked up slightly at the sound of his voice. As expected his voice carried throughout the room full of bass, but raspy like a bear trying to speak in human tongue. "What the Mayor is asking of you Suusao is simple. Go to the planet Brench...and help those that are still alive." At that moment his stomach sank. The bright crystal blue hue of his eyes returned. The boy was at a loss for words entirely, unsure of where to even start, the Mayor of a small Village on Earth. Was giving Suusao a task that seemed impossible. Everything on the boy's mind was trapped in his thoughts. Unable to spew even a single word. "I can't do this. I can't go to this planet! I still get lost on the flight from school to Kinko's house! Let alone travel to a planet with killer Sayains! I've never had another Saiyan to do battle against! Well aside from Juunto-sama...Except...When we train he isn't attempting to murder me!!!" While the boy's thoughts started running rampant his however involuntarily spoke for him. Only three words could be heard from the boy. "I'll do it." Three words that carried enough strength that it shocked the sturdiest of the three males. "Are you sure Suusao?" The Mayor leaned forward over his desk. Looking the boy in his eyes searching for something. Perhaps due to the essence of doubt he felt.
He knew that his overconfidence would one day end him up in the grave. When he was told that he never expected it would happen this soon in his life! Calming himself preparing to rescind his initial statement. Except for this time, he actually gave it some thought. This could be his only opportunity to actually see the universe like he always dreamed as a child. That dream would be impossible if the universe couldn't remain in peace. These people were in danger completely helpless against the might of the Saiyan Empire. A rush of courageous energy surged throughout his body, the mayor slowly inched back into his seat, and the boy gave him a smirk. Even the tightened stern expression on the man's face seemed delighted. "Don't worry Mayor. You two can count on me. I swear I'll help these people even if I have to put my life on the line for them. You have my word." The mayor seemed more at ease than he did before. "Follow Kuma back to the surface. He will be able to provide you with the additional details of your assignment." The burly man towered over Suusao standing well over seven feet. Attempting to stand tall next to the large man. The two males made their back down the hallway towards the elevator. Except before pressing the button for the elevator, the two were halted by the Brenchian woman Mako.
"Excuse me Suusao. Please, will you take this? It isn't much I just. I just didn't want to send you off with nothing. Please save my people from these vile Saiyans." Kuma stepped onto the elevator as Suusao grabbed hold of Mako's hand. Trying to reassure the woman as a tear formed in her eye. The boy released her hand getting on to the elevator with Kuma. The mayor could be seen lighting his cigar finally waving the boy off. Right now it felt as if the sinking feeling he felt before had disappeared. The entire twenty-one floor elevator ride was silent, with the only sound made being the electronic chime, this must have been due to the information not needed to be shared. When the two finally reached the lobby of Town Hall it appeared that everyone had gone home. The night sky was blanketed with stars, these stars were the same that many planets called their sun, and only one of those planets happened to be Brench. Opening the doors of town hall the chilled wind of the cold north prickled away at Suusao's nose. Making him sneeze just slight as he crossed his arms, tucking his hands in his armpits, trying to keep himself warm. Kuma stood firm unaffected by the strong breeze that swept through the lobby.
Just outside the village the two of them stood next to one another, and Suusao looked up to his guide awaiting further instruction. The man removed a slip of paper from his overcoat pocket. Holding out the paper for Suusao to take, "These are the coordinates to get to planet Brench. It is imperative that you remain vigilant. Your survival will depend on it, but in the event, you come across the Saiyans. Take my advice try avoiding all contact with the Saiyans. Sometimes if you fight you die, but if you run...you just might live another day. A dead hero is no good to those who require his aid." From the sack the boy removed the capsule labeled as Courage. Pressing the button on top of its container before tossing it a few feet in front of him. The spacepod made a muffled thud in the snow. "Well, I see you guys had stealth in mind when designing this pod. I'll admit though it is stylish. Never can go wrong with all black huh?" Stepping towards the pod as it's hatch slowly opened up. "Hey, kid." Right before stepping into the pod he looked back to Kuma expecting another speech. "You know you don't have to call me kid. On this planet, I'm told the age of eighteen makes you an adult. Am I right?"
"You know you're a wordy little bastard," the man chuckled loudly. "Good Luck Suusao." Giving him a thumbs up before the kid disappeared into the pod. "I'll be here waiting for your return. You're gonna go places kid. I know when I see potential." The pod's engines were beginning to fire up, and as the Courage started levitating off the ground. Suusao input the coordinates exactly as they were written on the slip of paper. This day was going to end in the most unlikely manner, for the first time in five years, he wouldn't be falling asleep under the Earth's night sky. Inputting the final command that initiated the pod's launch sequence. Kuma, however, didn't budge as the snow around him was blown around violently, and from Suusao's view, it looked like a snow storm. Just moments later the Courage was beginning to orbit the Earth. As the pod attempted to break free of the Earth's gravitational pull. It only took a few minutes for the pod to break free. Inside, the boy was being placed under hypersleep until his arrival on Brench.
