Saki was finishing up eating his lunch with the mage. He ate 5 plates of rice and noodles, dumplings, pork buns and just finished up a bowl of ox tail soup.
“So Saki, are you ready to be trained in some new techniques? Or would you like to upgrade some new skills?” The mage said as Saki put down the spoon, finishing his ox tail soup bowl.
“Well I think I should focus on speed…hitting strength means nothing unless you can hit someone and evasions are a good way to lower someone’s stamina.” Saki smiled.
Soon the mage got up and uttered a spell which transported Saki into an area in the base.
“So you wish to work on speed, maybe we should work on upping your afterimage technique a bit…” The mage said as he sat crosslegged floating in the air.
“What do you have in mind?” Saki asked. Suddenly the mage uttered a spell and wrist and leg weights came on Saki’s body.
“First I want you to use your afterimage attack to dodge every technique of your foe..which will be, a lizard!!”
The pentagram on the floor was formed an a green skinned lizard-man appeared and rushed Saki who used his afterimage technique to dodge a cleave to the chest. Saki then appeared above him and the tail went to whip him. Again, he left an afterimage of himself and rushed forward to do a frontal which the lizard opened his mouth and fired a mouth blast at the demon who used the afterimage technique to evade.
Saki then appeared across from the lizard, sweat coming off of his brow. ”If you haven’t guessed it yet, the strain of your afterimage technique has been enhanced by the magic wrist and leg weights…you’ll have to focus your will power to keep up and not pass out”
He heard the mage’s voice and the lizard rushed forward with a volley of clawed swipes which Saki evaded and parried with his body and hands. Soon Saki grabbed the wrist of the lizard and hit it in his armored chest. After the hit, saki felt the strain of his movements. (So this is it, it drains more stamina to dodge and parry as well as using my afterimage technique and attacks…I’m gonna have to…) As Saki was thinking the lizard phased and got infront of him. (Too fast!) Saki yelled as he barely dodged the clawed jab to his face in time. Now the lizard preformed a volley of claw jabs which Saki was moving his ass in and out of, the sweat pouring off of his brow.
The mage then spoke in his mind (remember your training prior to turning into a demon, control your breathing. Read your opponent and look for an opening!)
Saki kept dodging as he heard the mage’s words and then thought to himself. (NOW!) He then preformed an afterimage of himself as the lizard went to bite him. He then appeared above the lizard with a leg drop to the top of the head but got hit by the tail, sent flying from the attack.
Saki rolled on the ground, getting up to face his opponent. “Wow, I’m really getting a good workout…now every movement taxes my body more then usual…so I just have to calculate my movements.” He said to himself as the lizard rushed forward with a speedy clawed jab to the chest. Saki sidestepped it and preformed a spinning roundhouse to the back of it’s head. The kick sent the lizard flying but he vanished in mid propelled flight, saki sensed his energy movements and jumped back as the lizard raised his claws to slash Saki. (This is really a workout!) He thought to himself as he shot forward with flight, preforming a flying jump kick towards the lizard who punched the kick and caused the tiles underfoot to crack from the mear pressure of the lizard’s and saki’s attack.
Saki staggered back, getting his footing and then used his afterimage technique to dodge when the lizard appeared behind him with a claw to the back. Saki then got on the left flank of the lizard with a sweep to the leg. The tail was coming and saki used his willpower to force himself to up his speed and phase out of harms way.
Saki then appeared a few feet from the lizard, breathing hard. (Wow, I didn’t know that doing this many movements would push me to my limits…my willpower is ultimate but my body might pass out if I draw this out any longer.) the lizard then phased and appeared behind him with a knee to the back which saki used his afterimage technique to leave a fake image for the lizard to go through, it’s knee breaking the tiles in the ground floor. Saki then appeared above him with a hard punch to the head, then repelled off of said punch, flipping in the air and taking a tiger stance. He was really breathing hard, trying to control his breathing upon preforming the manuver.
(What is this thing made out of, not one ounce of blood, it’s not tired…it’s hurt I think….) Saki then shot forward running. “I don’t care what you are! I will beat you!” Saki launched forward, using flight to rush at the lizard and preformed many fast kicks while drilling forward to it’s chest, pushing it back. Soon Saki preformed a flash kick and nailed it square in the chin, sending it airborn. Soon Saki used his afterimage manuver to appear above it and drilled it hard to the ground with a multitude of punches, the lizard landing on it’s back as Saki kept pummeling it with fists. Soon the tail came launched at saki’s chest who used afterimage to evade it but this time the afterimage turned solid after the tail went through it. Saki grabbed the tail and spun the creature around, hurling it into a pillar which cracked and chipped, the lizard now down on the ground with a bleeding skull. The pentagram came underneath Saki’s feet and a purple aura came about Saki’s body then faded, the wrist and leg weights now fading from saki’s body.
”Good, you have now ascended your afterimage technique…but don’t stop now! We have much more training to do” The mage said as saki now fell on his back, trying to catch his breath as his body was pushed to it’s limits
