His training had pushed him so far as to get here, to this point, it was hard to explain it completely, fully, but. His relentless training had been pushing him to break the limits of possibility. His training had been so relentless, truth be told, he was scared of how much further he could actually push. Every step further was seemingly another piece of what kept him held back pushed behind him. He had gained such a mastery over his control over the Aether. He had mastered the energy needed to create his claw, the strength to stand to any attack. Yet still there was more and more that he could continue to push further and further. He had even managed to get Ulixes to start training in the method with him. He had been happy with her progress so far. She was quickly becoming someone who he was proud to simply have on his side. She gave him hope, and he gave her the same. Still however there was someone he needed to see before he could finish his training fully. He wanted to maybe see his ex mentor one more time, he was ready to face her this time, now that the odds were more even, he wasn’t as afraid anymore of meeting her again. Telling her of everything he had felt over the last few months of having trained with her. He just was not afraid of her any longer.
He had spent the last few days getting packed to head on back towards the lookout. It truly had felt like so long ago when he had last visited the place. He wondered how Cambia was doing, how her child was doing. He always found that lucky of Cambia, she had so easily been able to get out of such a fickle, that he found himself jealous at times. Unlike her he never could have the chance to return to a normal life any longer, his path had forever been altered by the gods above to a point that truly it wasn’t his choice any longer. He had became one trust with the Spirit Bomb, a technique that truly could change the tides of any battle against evil. He had been the one to finally defeat Nasu. The one to leave a very deep blow upon the Galactic Kingdom, he had been the one to continue to fight against that of the demon queen and Jarvis...in short..he was practically on every known villain’s hit list now. A list he truly did not want or needed to be on. As he arrived upon the lookout, his power and Ulixes still suppressed, he gave her a simple nod, signifying that it was time, time for him to gather some attention.
Getting into position, he began to channel the power of aether into his technique, aiming right for the sky. He couldn’t feel anyone above him, a signal that he was clear to fire. “Ka….Me….Ha...Me…..HA!” Chris would shout the chant as he would fire into the sky with an extremely powerful Kamehameha wave. For the briefest of seconds, he felt someone holding his shoulder yet as he turned his head no body was there, and Ulixes had given no sign of seeing anyone..how strange? Who had that been that had touched his shoulder? It had felt...otherworldly and yet familiar. No matter...for now he awaited, awaited for those who would have seen his light show from atop the lookout. It was strange..he hadn’t even felt a peep of Atsuko’s ki..where was she?

It was a truly fresh feeling being back on Earth and being able to enjoy the climate change, the weather, the sunlight and the wind. It was funny how the smallest of things that Athren would've taken for granted before his death would've meant the world to him now. It had seemed that spending all that time in hell would've really shown him the value of it all. Athren had learned that life was valuable and precious and it wasn't something to be taken away over selfish reasons. Of course, this thought process might've only been a phase as he had only returned to the life of the living but who knew, maybe with the right encouragement Athren couldn't done right this time around and put his potential to good use. Regardless of what Athren could become his path wasn't set out for him yet, he didn't know what his powers meant and he knew that there was something darker deep inside him that he couldn't identify. He had managed to hit a form before hitting super saiyan that really made him felt like he was straight out of a nightmare. Who would Athren become, he didn't know? Who was he as of this moment, he didn't have an answer to that either and he knew he needed to start looking but where to start first?
Athren would've thought about his most logical options to get him back on track and informed of the current world that is, not the one that was when he had been alive. He knew things would've changed but he didn't know how drastically. The world he knew wasn't in existence anymore and he was in a new world now and he needed to learn about it. He needed to think of whom to speak too. During his time on the planet Earth previous, Athren didn't meet too many people. He was on a solo assignment to prepare himself better for the throne, he thought that the experience would be a good asset for ruling a planet. He believed that the more random adventures he had and learned from the more fitting of a King he would've been if the time came. Regardless, there was few who he could turn to that he could guess were on the Planet Earth. His first choice would've been Nasu as they had a temporary alliance before the time of Athren's death and Nasu would've been able to give Athren information on everything important, including the status of Koma and if he ever got revived. Athren's second choice, well it would've been Koma but as far as Athren knew he could've still been dead. The bad part about the rest of his options? He might've burned those bridges beyond repair for they were all people who had cared about him at one point and he betrayed them.
Next on his list would've been Tau, she was a nice girl and they had gotten along but when Athren attacked the lookout he clearly burned that bridge and left an impact. The same goes for Cambia, Athren's fling and interest, the girl he actually cared for. He broke that poor woman's heart that day and for what? His pride? His belief that his race was dominant? Stupid Prince. His options were running very thin and the last of his options would've been the one he had turned into his biggest enemy, Atsuko. They fought their hearts out on the lookout that day and since then, nothing in Athren's life would've been the same but he had a good feeling that she would've remained on the lookout and Athren figured it was best for him to head there. He wasn't looking for a fight or to cause any kind of trouble, he just wanted to talk and figure out where to go from here. He needed to form a new path and wanted to know the status of those he once knew. Hell, going back to his own people would've been an option but Planet Vegeta was no longer in existence either. Everything that Athren had backed up and died for was gone and he didn't even know it yet. His death was in vein.
Given that he decided on his most logical option, Athren had flared up his orange aura and blasted off into the sky. His destination was the lookout and he hoped to find his answers there. Athren flew as quickly as he could and the wind rapidly rushed through his hair and pressed against his body, it was a feeling that he missed so dearly but the next feeling was one that brought an unnerving feeling to his stomach. It wasn't a physical or emotional feeling, it was a feeling from his Ki sense. He sensed an amazing power on the lookout that was much stronger than his own and he couldn't believe it. He was once one of the top fighters in the universe and he was already outclassed? Guess that much time in hell really did a number on him. Regardless, he assumed it was friendly because the lookout was generally supposed to be a place of peace.
Getting closer Athren would've seen a large energy wave being blasted off into the sky, he assumed whomever who launched it was just training. It is what Athren would've been doing after all if he didn't need to figure his own life out. Finally, when Athren had managed to reach the lookout he would've landed near the only figure that was present there. The fighter who had been much stronger and unleashed the massive wave of energy into the sky. Considering Athren wasn't the best of a people person he might've come off as a little rude but that wasn't his intention, he didn't want a fight nor cause a fuss. He just needed to better himself so therefore, he decided to get straight to the punch. "Atsuko still around here or is she just a memory now?" Athren would've said in a confident tone. "I need to speak with her." Athren would've said as he crossed his arms firmly against his chest. His attire would've been his regular saiyan armour and gear. He stood firmly as he awaited an answer from the stranger on the lookout. Word Count: 1,049
Chris had stood waiting for someone to arrive. With such a big display of power he hadn’t doubted in the slightest that someone had to see it, gods be anyone really. He had stood there waiting with Ulxies, time passing seamlessly as he stood there waiting. He found it strange, but he could not sense Atsuko’s ki anywhere in the galaxy. She left the lookout behind..he called it. She must have given into the corruption. He had told her that still showing both sides of herself, by not getting rid of that darkness from the corrupted water that it would destroy her. It seemed she hadn’t listened. Chris couldn’t help but feel a frown on his face, he had thought she would have been better, that she wouldn’t have gotten power hungry. He had been wrong. Wrong once more and once again.
He still glanced around at the lookout, the one he helped rebuild so long back. Back when he was still only a student under Atsuko. So long ago, he remembered everything about this place, about what he had done as he grew up here. All that training, all that effort. He had thought back then that what he had been fighting for had been worth it at the time. That he had been actually making a difference. Only then did he realize that the whole galaxy was hurting, the whole universe. He had brought the matter up with here...and she knew the entire time. He begged her to help do something about it. At least to help him with doing something, but no..after that day, everything between them had changed. His own cousin, she couldn’t afford to put off the duties of her position just long enough to at least help others. She had lost the way she had shown him in the beginning.
“So what do you think of the place? It’s your first time up here right?” Chris would ask of Ulixes as he would look towards her. It was her first time up here at the lookout. Even though it was mainly for two reasons, he did want to know what she thought of the place. “It’s beautiful Chris, I never even knew of the place. I knew of the tower, but I had no idea of this structure above it.” She would exclaim with stars in her eyes as she looked around. She really had never been to such a place before. “Trust me I know, I spent a year living here, training. I even helped rebuild it..” Chris would say as he thought of this place when he first found it. So long ago and yet so fresh in mind. It was strange how memories could seemingly arrive, bringing a wave of nostalgia that seemingly none could handle.
“Ulixes let me tell you a story, the story of how I first arrived here. It was so long ago, when a good friend of mine, Gouken. I saw him like an older brotherly figure. We had decided to climb Korin’s tower without flying. We both raced to the top. I only managed to get ahead because I had started first. He was quick, very quick to catch up however. I still was the one to reach the top of Korin’s tower first. It was only then in the clear day that was notice something even further up. We continued to climb until we reached the top. When I was up there..I just held this feeling of death from what had happened. The place was battle scorned and someone had blasted away a large portion of it. I just couldn't understand why someone would have done something like that...I made a promise to Gouken that day. I made a promise that I would make the person pay once I found them. Make them pay until they felt the same way I felt of seeing something so peaceful..so ruined. I still never found out who did it, I only know of the name of those who attacked this place when it happened.” Chris would explain the story of how he found such a place. He felt it was right to tell her after all how he had found this place.
Chris was slowly regain his energy back, enough that he would be able to do what he needed. It was then that he noticed this incoming ki was not a familiar one, saiyan like and yet who was it? They were quick to arrive and had a decent power to themselves. Stronger than Ulixes..barely. They would ask of Atsuko and yet for the past year, he had been training with her for half of it. Yet he didn’t recognize this ki one bit. “She’s gone, a memory, but not gone gone, just disappeared.” Chris would say as his suspicion was rising over this stranger. “Anything you need to say with her however you can speak to me about...In fact I am curious why a traditional saiyan like you is still here? I thought all of you left with the rest of the Alliance a few weeks back?” Chris would ask quizzically of the stranger as he looked around still. None of his friends had found him yet. He needed to raise it further, raise his power level enough so that he could get them to come. That wasn’t the smallest bit of it however, for he still had no clue on who this stranger was, and of whether they were truly friendly or not.
It couldn’t hurt to keep a raised power, at least to ensure no trouble was to come. With a quick push in his ki, he entered his light’s embrace. His hair rising to spike up as the golden hue entered its color. “Forgive me for not exactly..trusting a stranger who just arrived here. Especially considering most saiyans have left already..” Chris would say feeling his own tail, still hidden under his gi. He was ready for a fight if there was one to come, but for now..he just needed to examine. Keep his eyes focused on the situation and to be ready for anything sudden. Ulixes was none the better, she simply watched with anticipation as well, unlike Chris however..she didn’t embrace..yet.

When the man had answered Athren he had received an answer that he didn't expect. It sounded like the current situation was that Atsuko had left, she just vanished without a trace. Now Athren wasn't exactly the closest to Atsuko and he understood that time can change a lot of things but when they knew each other, she wasn't exactly one to give up and abandon her duties. Maybe it was a case of adventuring to better serve those duties but whatever the case was it was irrelevant in the eyes of the prince. She wasn't here to talk to and her reasons for leaving wasn't a concern of his. He was here for himself and nothing more than that. He needed answers. On the plus side the male figure on the lookout would've been more than happy to offer Athren some assistance, though he did come off as a little.. strange. Athren couldn't put his finger on the reason why, but that didn't matter either. For a brief moment Athren's ocean blue eyes would've wandered onto the female figure that was on the lookout with the male but his beautiful ocean blue eyes would've made their way back onto Chris. "That doesn't exactly sound like something she would do but I suppose time changes everybody, sometimes for the worst and sometimes for the better. Where ever she went, let's hope she's doing well." Athren would've stated. They may have had their rocky past but at this moment in time he didn't want to wish the worst on her, the situation was exactly what it was.
The man had then went on to say that anything he needed to say to her, he could say to him and honestly Athren didn't have much of a choice. There wasn't anywhere else he could go to get the answers he needed and the few that he did know from the past, he didn't have a single clue where to find them. Chris had then asked about why a traditional saiyan was on Earth still and that he thought they had all left with the alliance. This would've caused Athren to arch a brow curiously, he wasn't aware of the current status of the saiyan race and he didn't have a single clue what they had been up too or building towards but he did know he had an answer for Chris. "Still here? Well, the truth is that I've actually just got back from somewhere. I went away for a long time you could say. Current saiyan affairs are something I'm not exactly educated about anymore." Athren would've explained as he slowly began to approach the male to have a more civil conversation.
Athren was just about to speak up and begin to ask his questions but the male would've transformed into something Athren would've classified as a super saiyan, the power was quite intense and Athren would've struggled to keep his balance but he managed just fine. It seemed that the trend himself, Atsuko and Nasu had set so long ago had really seemed to stick. The worst part of it though wasn't the fact that more could transform, it was that Athren's power level was left in the dust since his days in hell. He was a good fighter but sometimes you just couldn't compete with raw power. In time, Athren believed he could close the gap between himself and anybody but it would take a lot of time and hard work. Regardless, Chris had mentioned something about not trusting the prince and it made sense, he had no reason too. "Forgive you for not trusting me?" Athren would've smirked and chuckled lightly. "The way I see it, you're right to do so." Athren would've paused for a brief moment before continuing his words. "I'll tell you this right now though, I didn't come here to start a fight or trouble. In fact, I simply came here to look for answers to send me on the right direction. Now, the less people who know I'm around right now the better off both of us are. So for now, I'll assure you that I'm not here to fight and I'm not here to harm the planet. I just need answers." Athren would've trailed on, he knew how bad it looked that he wouldn't give his name out but having the title of prince wasn't exactly always the best thing. Especially considering that he didn't know who he could trust, for all he knew the whole saiyan race would've turned against him.
Athren would've smirked faintly as his eyes wandered the lookout, he needed to start with questions that would lead him to even more answers. Answers for questions that he didn't even know he had yet. "A long time ago on this very lookout there was one hell of a fight. Few that were there even unlocked that transformation you're currently in. During that fight a saiyan boy ended up giving up his life to protect somebody who might've made the wrong choices. Atsuko had given her word that she'd use the dragon balls to revive him and that's what led to the conflicts end. The kids name was Koma. Did they end up reviving him and if so, would you mind pointing me in the right direction so I could find him?" This was really just the tip of the iceberg for Athren, he figured Koma would be able to give him all the answers he'd need regarding the saiyan affairs but maybe the male in front of him could fill in some blanks too. It really wasn't easy coming back to the land of the living with absolutely no knowledge of events that had happened or even knowing what the race you were born to rule was up too. Athren had a lot of learning and adapting to do and he could only hope that it wasn't going to be as stressful as he assumed it would be. One could only hope. Chris wasn’t exactly trusting of this individual yet. Something irked him about them, something about the way they acted. It just didn’t feel right. Not in ki no, but something in his gut, he just..didn’t trust the guy. He wanted to just know more for sure. He wanted to know their full reasoning before he would dare give them the proper answers they seeked. He was well tired of all the mystery and secrets that so many have kept from him before. Friends, enemies, it was always the same in the end. A secret held simply for the personal gain of one’s self. He was tired of those secrets, of all of them. He wanted clear answers for once, that was not too much to ask for after all. He wasn’t going to get answers however it seemed until he could understands this person better..more..accurately. There was only one way he knew of that for sure.
“Trust me when I say, when we last talked..she was not the same person a year before..and not in the slightest bit..a good way.” Chris would simply keep off as he continued to watch vigorously. He didn’t want to miss a single detail of this moment, just in case he could get some information that could be of use later on. He had to be careful as well, he couldn’t risk the tiniest detail going unnoticed. He did glance back towards Ulixes, speaking to her with his telepathy. ‘Be careful with this guy, something about him irks me, and I don’t know exactly what yet. Just in case, be ready just in case he tries to slip anything by. You know of the people I’ve explained to you about. Treat this one as if he is one of them. Do not trust him until we can know for sure.’ He would warn to her silently and by thought. A very subtle nod from her giving Chris a clear signal that she understood. Now that, that was handled, it was time to try and get more info from this stranger.
“I’m sorry to say, I’m not so sure I’m going to give any answers until I have a name. Trust me, no matter who would be after you, no one is nearly as bad as the people who want me dead. Nobody.” Chris would say clearly expressing on the word. Expressing on the seriousness of it, of the intensity of it. This person, he doubted that he could have nearly as bad of an experience of the people after him. He held the worst of the worst in the galaxy after him. He was after all a open defender, a known defender throughout a majority of the universe. He after all..did openly defy and beat Nasu. That moment..he had felt the whole galaxy seemingly shake upon those words at the time. He had felt the intense power that had came from such. The intensity of it...it was something he could never sleep and forget, He knew that it was going to leave a mark on him, one that will not ever fade.
It seemed then however the question had seem to come. The one that was very quickly going to change the entirety of this conversation. He had thought just maybe, there was a chance this was one of Nasu’s men. He couldn’t risk giving away the location of Komatsu. His cousin’s safety was his priority right now. Afterall, besides himself. He was probably the biggest target in the galaxy as well. He had defeated Jarvis and now stood as an opposition to Nasu. This was the kind of information that just could not be so freely given at ease. Everything came with caution, and this one did so more than ever. The question was now how could he get rid of this person without giving such information away..he would only give it after all to those he trust. There was only one means he knew of understanding someone truly. The question was truly if they would pass it or not. That was his way whether they were to like it or not. The consequences to forcome would prove such if they were worthy.
“I do in fact know where he is, he’s been alive for over a year now. I was there when he came back with Atsuko. Although someone there wasn’t too happy and broke my arm at the time...but that’s a story that isn’t necessary to this one.” Chris would say with a shrug. “If you want the information on where Koma is, then we handle this...the saiyan way. Fight me. Show me that I should give you the information, not by words, but by actions. Show me your heart in battle and I will show you mine.” Chris would say as he would hold still in contempt. He was offering Athren the first move. Chris himself however didn’t want to put too much strength into this battle yet. He still wanted to see if Athren could prove him worthy first. They were both adults here after all, but age meant nothing if he couldn’t show it as true. That was where the true trial was possibly going to come in. He wanted to see how this stranger could handle himself under a stronger power, faced with an opponent that they could not beat with simple power, but through strategy. If they could pass his test, his trial. Than only then would he give them the information they desired.
Ulixes watched with care from the side, if one was to be too injured, she would be ready to step in to heal them. However she wasn’t going to let this known to the stranger, she knew Chris’s plan, They need them to think this was a real spar, one that they were going to have to let heal over time. One that was going to go on until one is seriously injured.
In the end the question was...will they pass or fail?
[Thread Power Level: 160,050] [Ki Suppression On. PL: 5]
The Tower Keeper was chilling, tending to his errands, watering the senzu plant and whistling in Peace when he sensed a huge energy being thrown towards the skies and then gone from this world. That energy was absurd, easily towering Galen’s energy twofold which was quite impressive. The human was by no mean becoming arrogant, but he was one of the strongest people on Earth right now and a declared defender of it, having increased his skill by mastering the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School and studying hard into the principles of the Turtle School, to the point he could be considered an advanced student of it, so, towering his power that much could only mean that this person was on pair with the strongest people in the universe and, thankfully, that energy signature was familiar, even though it had been a while since the last time Galen sensed it. The human closed his eyes and a large yet honest smile appeared on his face. ”Christopher…” he said to himself, happy his friend was alive and well after his doom at the hands of Caesar.
Galen finished watering the senzu plant, already hoping he could just fly towards the Timeless Lookout when he sensed another person approaching the place, with a power level dangerously close to Galen’s own. ”No… This person… He is stronger. Not by much, but I can tell.” he thought to himself, with his smile fading away, giving its place to a more concerned expression. Who was this person? What did he want there? Christopher’s energy seemed rather agitated and, even though Galen was kind of clumsy suppressing his own power level, he was absurdly good at sensing it. ”I better head there at once.” he thought to himself, making a brief nod. He placed his watering can by the side of the senzu plant, grabbed his broad sword, placing it over his shoulders and then got ready. He had to fly, so his power level would be unsuppressed, but he didn’t care; he wasn’t going there for a fight, but wouldn’t back off from one if need be.
[Ki Unsuppressed]
Galen flared his light blue ki aura and took the skies, flying as fast as he could towards the Timeless Lookout, leaving his home behind. He was fast and it didn’t take him long to get there, but when he arrived, Christopher and this mysterious stranger were already having a conversation. This stranger was a saiyan and that was crystal clear from his tail and his armor, although his tail was… gray? Yeah, that was a first but then again Galen didn’t know much about them anyway and even though all others were brown, there could be many colors, right? Just like hair? Well, he just shrugged at that.
The human arrived just in time to hear the saiyan speaking about a fight on the Lookout a long time ago, where people transformed and died. He seemed to know the previous Kami, Atsuko and even that saiyan boy Komatsu, who transformed into a Golden Ape and wreaked havoc around the Citadel, completely destroying it. Galen remembered that battle very well because he nearly died at that. ”So, Komatsu died too? Well… Komatsu, Chris, Gouken… Seems like death isn’t all that permanent once we grow strong… A shame my people back at Goddodin were just ordinary… I wish they could come back, but hey, no use thinking about that…” he thought to himself, shaking his head. Christopher replied and showed he wasn’t willing to compromise Komatsu’s whereabouts and that he would only share information with the saiyan after getting to know him. Galen stared at them and took a few steps towards their direction. ”Christopher! Hey… Long time no see!” he said, cracking a kind smile on his face. ”I would love to talk to you for a bit, but I know it isn’t the right time so… How about I fight him instead? You want to see his heart as it truly is, let him fight a human.” he suggested, but he wouldn’t mind if Christopher refused.
Then he turned to Athren and made a small bow to him. ”I’m Galen, by the way, the Keeper of Korin’s Tower. I hope you mean well. I couldn’t help but to overhear you took part in a battle here and, as a guardian of these lands, I would like to know about your involvement in said battle.” he was polite in his tone, but he was also very serious.
Athren didn't know it yet but things weren't going to go his way in the slightest, at least not without a little bit of time and effort put into this situation. All the prince had wanted was answers so he could move on and find Koma because at this very moment in time Koma was potentially the only bridge he hadn't burned in his life and anybody that would sacrifice themselves for Athren's life showed that they were trust worthy and that was something that wasn't easy for the prince to find. He trusted Koma and only Koma at the moment. He didn't know who was friend or who was foe, it wasn't easy coming into the world of the living after being stuck so long in hell but he was trying to better himself. Regardless, It had sounded like Atsuko had changed for the worst and Athren arched a brow curiously, he would've never seen that coming but even the brightest could be consumed by darkness and he knew that. Though just because one stumbled and lost their path didn't mean they were gone forever. Unfortunately for Athren though, he himself didn't know where he was on the scale between the light and the darkness and he needed the tools to figure it out. Responding to the Atsuko comment Athren would've spoken. "Even the best of us can fall and be consumed by our inner demons. It happens quick sometimes and before you know it, we become the very demon we try to avoid." Athren would've mentioned this with his evil power surge transformation deeply in mind. He remembered it like it was yesterday, the darkness and negative thoughts completely consumed him until it fuelled the very transformation itself.
The next chunk of words was when Athren had managed to clue in that this wasn't going to be an in and out trip like he wanted it to be and the longer that he was on the lookout, the more chance there was for conflict. Tau or Cambia could've shown up at any moment and that was something he wasn't ready to deal with. He didn't want to face his demon's in front of those who saw it best, while he was doing well confronting them on his own he just wasn't ready for that. Regardless, Chris would've stated that he wasn't going to give answers until he got a name and that his enemies are probably far worse than Athrens and while this may have been true, that didn't change the fact that Chris was likely capable of defeating them while Athren was not. "If you were in my shoes, you'd understand why you aren't getting a name. You might have enemies much deadlier than mine but that doesn't change the fact that I'm not prepared to face mine yet and I'm not signing my death certificate because you can't give me a damn answer." Athren would've said in a huff, he was mildly annoyed at this point already.
At this point another figure would've came into the picture. It seemed like a younger male than Athren and his power level wasn't too far away from the prince's either. ~Seems like everybody closed the gap. Seems like I've got some work to do..~ Athren would've thought to himself as the new comer spoke to Chris. ~So, that's his name? Hm.~ Athren would've thought as he wondered that.
That was when Chris would've offered a challenge. If Athren was to fight him a prove himself he would've gotten all the answers that he needed but the new comer had decided to approach Athren instead. He introduced himself and requested the fight be between the prince and himself. Really? Everybody just wanted to fight today. Regardless, that was something Athren wasn't going to do. He couldn't risk it and it wasn't the time. Athren wanted to fight, he always did but right now wasn't the time or the place for it. The new comer would've asked about the conflict on the lookout at that point and surely, this was where Athren was getting even more annoyed.
At this point Athren would've clenched both of his fists out of frustration. "I already told your friend Chris that I'm not here to fight or cause any harm. I'm here for answers to guide me on my way." Athren would've paused as his ocean blues bounced back and fourth between the two male warriors. "You want to know about my involvement? I was on Koma's side and he was on my side. You know, I brought him in and treated him like a little brother, I was more family to him than his god damn brother was. I gave him a place to sleep and train where he wouldn't be bothered, I tried to help him and I was there for him. During the fight on the lookout when all my enemies surrounded me and unleashed a massive combination attack that I couldn't stop, He gave his life by getting in the way to save my life and he did." Athren would've paused lightly as he was obviously showing signs of frustrations. "And I would've done the exact damn same for him and he was just a brat at the time. Now, here I am trying to get into contact with the only person who can help me, the one that I classify as family and you two are going to make me fight for it after I already lost the brat once?" Athren would've asked as he shook his head and looked to the ground for a brief moment. Seriously, what was the big deal? Athren clearly didn't have any intentions to cause any harm and it would've showed. He didn't want to fight and he just wanted to be on his way. If they had only known the past between Koma and himself this would've gone a whole lot easier but even if he did explain it, would they give him the information anyway? Who knew.. Chris was getting relatively annoyed with all of thee vague answers he was receiving. He wanted clear answers, not just more and more excuses for why oh pity them. How their life was so terrible. How they were waiting information and yet they were so unwilling to provide any himself. He wasn’t going to sell his cousin out like that. He had promised to keep them safe. PRimarily not telling any of Nasu’s goonies from finding him. Or even maybe the demon queen’s allies herself. He still remembered the very clear threat he had received from her. She was all too willing to kill every last member of his family if he kept interfering with her plans.. Guess what? He never stopped. His family was just as a much a target from her as he was. He had to make sure every measure was secure on what information got out on where his cousin, sister, and father were.
As he felt someone else arrive, the voice he heard filled him with so much joy. It really did make him quite happy to hear it. “Galen...it’s been so long my friend. I haven’t seen you in forever, your right however. Now is not the best time. “ He would say glancing back towards Athren. It truly was great to see Galen again, it had been so long. It felt like every time they met there was always a larger and larger gap growing and growing. It was interesting to see how far they had both came to reach this level. Level not originally thought possible a year ago. Dreams they both had of finding the Z fighters and joining them, of just helping them out. Now here he was leading his own group with the both of them helping those in need. However this calmer version of Chris was soon to pass at Athren’s next words. Words that truly..truly p*ssed him off.
“If I were in your shoes...If I were in your shoes?! If you were in my shoes you would wonder how the hell you're still sane every single gruelling night that passes and day you awaken.” Chris would speak as he still was turned away from Athren. His power however was beginning to skyrocket further and further. The ground around even beginning to shake slightly from the massive surge of power. Five million, six million...steadily it continued in its growth. Seven million..near eight million and then it stopped. A blue aura was growing inside of his golden one. His eyes losing their pupils as blank white expanses were left in their slots. A bio electric aura beginning to surround him as the electricity struck at the ground..hard. He was mad alright, he was mad of so many riddles, of all of those who were trying to find his family. He didn’t know for sure if they really were friends with their cousin, but if they were so suspicious as to not give a name or any sort of background. It wasn’t entirely their fault however. This stress, it had been building up for a while now, ever since he nearly killed his own cousin, Nasu. It’s been building up ever since that battle. The thought of so many that could be after him. After his family.

As his power kept on growing and growing, fully facing towards Athren as his own ki radiated with shockwaves of energy. “You may not be signing a death certificate, but I am not signing one for my cousin or any of the survivors of Natto. You may not be prepared to face yours yet, but know that they aren’t even the least of troubles right now. Planets are gone, I watched the planet Natto get blown to pieces, I could feel the destruction of Planet Blehberry, once known as Planet Vegeta. The alliance was split when I rescued Komatsu, I felt his cold near lifeless body as he floated in the vacuum of space, right outside the ruins of the planet where we were born. You may not know much about the political aspects, but you should know. Our species, the saiyans, we’re near extinction. Whatever enemies you’ve got. All of it means nothing if I let one wrong person know where some of the survivors are….Kaioken times ten...” Chris would speak out of spite as his energy grew rapidly once more, expanding even further. This wasn’t purely Chris talking now, it was the saiyan rage flowing throughout his body.

The aether he had been tapping into, the bits of dark aether that had tempted him before..they fed on the negative energy..drenched itself in it. Something inside of him was awakening... He could feel it trying to claw his way out of him. What was this power. It hurt..it really..really hurt. It felt like his body, his ki was trying to tear him up from the inside and out. Little did he notice as his power continued to increase that his physicality was changing as well. The tinges of his hair gaining a violet color. His skin losing its human like color, seemingly looking as if it was covered in scales as it tooks on a very dark , gray color. A mixture almost, looking similar to charred skin and yet, almost like scales, scales of a dragon. This rage that filled him, he was ready to hurt whoever it needed to get the info he needed. As he looked toward Athren, his power seemingly shaking the lookout with its massive composure. ‘Stop this!’ Chris would hear in his own head, it was his normal thoughts, his calmer thoughts. They were always the same..all of them..they always wanted him hurting..losing those close to him ‘yes yes yes yes’ his thoughts would rang as he tried to grasp on his inner thoughts, his true thoughts.

It tooks a slight bit of time, but..it seemed as soon as he took a deep..deep breath..the pupils in his eyes returned with pupils. ‘I almost lost control there...this new form..it may be stronger, but it boosted that rage I felt...all this stress..it's just been leading up to all of this. I should drop back down to my base form.’ Chris would simply finish his thoughts as he would begin the process of lowering his power. He did feel something strange however...that was when he noticed it, on his back were wings, wings of pure energy, the bright white color of it, light itself seemingly. His wings..they finally came in Ulixes had been right after all.

Dropping out of the form however was a mistake he payed dearly for, he felt all of a sudden like his own body was ready to collapse, all of his energy seemingly drained. Taking a moment to regain what energy he could, his wings having disappeared once he had exited his form, he rose quickly to speak. “Look, I get it, you want info on where he is. I can’t tell you, our species is so near to extinction, so many want us dead. I just can’t tell you where they are without some kind of proof..anything to show me, not tell me, that I can trust your words, that I can trust you. That I can trust you won’t get him hurt.” Chris would say, his voice calmer after having exited that form. The rage that flowed through a super saiyan. Something that can easily be overwhelming in such a raw form.

Mastering Ultimate of Divine Dragon Arts and Claiming title of Master of the School
Unlocked access to Draconian Ki
Draconian Ki - 30,653 (-1000 for use this turn) = 29,653
- [ULT] Dragon Form - Dragon Form is a technique Chris picked up the idea of from the afterlife. Similar seemingly to that of the kaioken, however with it’s own drawbacks in return. Upon entering this form, the user’s hair begins to glow a bright violet hue and their skin becoming seemingly coated in dark gray scales temporarily.
Dragon Form is a +x4 boost to the Character’s power level, this ability is in fact stackable on top of a transformation. However, dragon form drain’s the user’s Draconian Ki by 1,000 in merely passive use. However, if the user is to use a technique this form will drain 5,000 Draconian Ki for that turn instead. If the user does not have at least 1,000 ki to support the dragon form they lose the boost for the entirety of the thread. Upon having exited Dragon Form, the user will be exhausted and have 0 stamina.
- Draconian Ki: Draconian Ki is 10% of the user’s ki.
Due to exiting Dragon Form, currently at 0/5 stamina
Oddly enough this saiyan said he didn’t want to fight and, even though Galen wasn’t such a fighting junky as most saiyans were, this was a first and he couldn’t hide his surprise. ”Oh? Well… That’s… Surprising…” he limited himself to say, blinking twice as he took a mental note knowing now that sometimes even a saiyan would refuse to fight. That was good, though, as innate violence wasn’t something good to have in an entire race. Following that he began explaining what he was doing back when the Lookout was attacked and Galen listened to it rather carefully. Once he finished speaking, Galen closed his eyes and sighed. ”So you were the mysterious partner Atsuko’s brother had when they attacked this place. I remember it being wrecked after the fight. But I won’t be judging you for that. Atsuko… Is someone I find difficult to understand or even to trust.” he admitted, but before he could continue any further, Chris seemed to lose his cool completely and that made Galen stare back at him in shock.
”Chris, what’s going on?!” he exclaimed as his power level exploded to such an absurd level that Galen couldn’t even dream of reaching. He could relate, though, to the rage as his transformation was also rage based, even though he was learning to control his emotions even on that form; it was getting easier with time. Still, Christopher used the technique Gouken used during that time, flaring another aura, a crimson one, over his natural one that made his ki energy increase even more. While he did that, he opened his heart and when he thought he couldn’t grow any stronger, he broke yet another barrier with a strange ki flowing through his body, one that had a very odd sensation tied in to it. ”So much power…” Galen was scared but also awestruck by just how much more powerful Chris had become.
It threw him back to the day they were even. No, Galen was stronger and could defeat him, but now? There was no way he could get even close to what he had become and that made him feel both proud of himself and sad. ”Is this even fair? To compete with a saiyan? Their power… It’s just… Too much… I guess us humans aren’t just that fit to become this kind of warrior… But… That doesn’t mean I can’t do my best, right?” Galen tried to keep himself motivated, but he had to admit it was hard to see a point in training so much, when the gap was this big.
When he reached his peak Chris was basically fourteen times stronger than Galen and the shock was so intense he was sweating cold. He stared from Chris to Athren, trying to think of something to do to help with this situation, and then an idea struck him. ”Chris, allow me…” and then he turned back to Athren. ”Mister nameless saiyan… Let’s try to build some trust here, okay? It would be very good to start with a name. We are not the bad guys here. I know you may have had some bad blood with Atsuko, but she is gone and things are very different now. Maybe, if we can begin to trust each other, we can help you find him.” and that was the best he could come up with for now.
For a brief moment the two men would've exchanged some minor dialog and Athren would've kept quiet for it. It didn't take long as both men realised that this wasn't the best time for a catching up session. Both of their attention had quickly shifted back to the prince though and they were very stubborn on getting the answers that they requested. At this point in time Athren figured he gave them enough detail to know that he was friendly and meant well but they didn't see it that way and Athren clearly had more work to do in order to get the information that he needed. This visit was going to be longer than expected. Chris would've went on to explain how life was in his shoes while the other male had talked about the day on the lookout and in all honesty, Athren really didn't see what Chris had to stress about. "Your shoes still sound better than mine." Athren would've explained before looking over to Galen. "Yeah, that would've been me. I didn't actually come here to attack the lookout that day but when I saw the fight between my friends and my people taking place I had to choose." Athren would've paused for a brief moment. "I chose my pride and my race, I wanted to be that cold warrior I was before I landed on Earth and I wanted to experience the closet thing to an assignment with a squad as I could. Before I knew it, things got out of hand." Athren would've crossed his arms as he recalled the experience. Galen would've mentioned how difficult it was to get along with Atsuko at times and he had the perfect words to say to that. "Atsuko and I had gotten along before that but that day, something just set me off. Every evil thought I had took over and I wanted to put her through the ground. I wanted a one on one, her against me. Her super saiyan transformation against my.. well, whatever it was. That's when her whole team assembled to take me out and that's how Koma died. Three of them combined their blasts but I've already mentioned that." Athren would've trailed on briefly.
During his quick speech Athren would've sensed Chris' power level going higher and higher and his focus would've went onto him. Athren would've said more and tried to fill in more details but his words wouldn't have been heard anyway. It was time to watch and potentially listen to the warrior as he demonstrated what he was capable of. In all honesty Athren's reaction to such a dramatic power level was casual, he arched a brow as he watched Chris reach what he assumed to be his maximum. Athren wasn't afraid or shocked by the power but it did give him insight to what kind of levels he could reach, after all.. he was one of the first to reach the level of super saiyan and once upon a time that transformation was something of legend. He knew that the limit of a saiyan didn't exist and that they could always find a way to reach a new level. Regardless, something more interesting was discussed as Chris mentioned the fate of their race and the planets they once called home. Athren would've waited until Chris powered down to reply to this. "Nearly extinct?" Athren would've tensed up tightly as this frustrated him. He was the prince of nobody? He didn't have a planet to rule or a future on his home world? Well, that wasn't something he ever thought possible. "Chris, I can tell you this now. The last thing I want is the saiyan race to fail. If anything, I'd want to unite them and make them whole again. If there isn't many of us left we can't afford to go slaughtering our own kind." Athren would've trailed on as Galen had some words to say.
Galen would've sounded kind and sincere and at the moment, Athren figured it was time to open up. He really didn't want too still but his biggest worry sounded non-existent. You see, his biggest thought was that somebody would've sat upon a throne and called themselves king of the saiyan race and their downfall could've been the true royal bloodline as Athren assumed there would still be those whom fall into line behind him. This was not fact and just a thought but he needed to be careful for even now, Chris had proven to outmatch the prince drastically. "This stays between us then. There are those on Earth whom are probably better off not hearing my name and there are probably still those who'll want me dead regardless of the status of my empire." Athren would've paused briefly as he thought about his words and what to say. "You're looking at the fallen saiyan prince, Athren. Straight out of hell... literally. Given my bloodline and.. the fact that I'm back in the world of the living you might be able to understand why I'm so cautious about throwing my name around. I've made enemies and the friends I had probably wouldn't be so open to a conversation. I wouldn't have come here but I didn't have much choice. The only two others I could've spoken too.. Well, I'm sure I burnt those bridges that day on the lookout."
"Everything I have told you is true, I'm not here to cause a fight regardless of what my past might lead you to believe. I've been away for quite some time and I'm trying to figure out my own direction. Given the fact my race is nearly extinct.. that'll be one hell of a chore. Given my royal bloodline, I just assumed I might have a target on my back. It isn't a fact, just a thought but given the power level difference between yourself and I.." Athren would've now looked to Chris. "It's safe to say those who potentially want me dead have also increased their powers. I was once on the top and now, I'm somewhere on the bottom." Athren would've said as he looked down to the tiles of the lookout. Word Count: 1,033 Total Word Count: 4,090
Still as Chris held on and continued to study Athren, his senses growing distrusting of them more and more as they kept holding onto secrets that prevented him from revealing where the saiyans had left to. Their race so close to extinction, yet even as he thought of it, could he even consider them his race any longer? He wasn’t fully one of them any longer..he never grew up like them. They were vastly different than himself and yet. No matter how much he tried to close that connection with them, he just couldn’t. Not in the way he could with his own people now, the Angeleans. It was what he was now and he had to fully admit it, for god's sake his newest form had wings for crying out loud. It wasn’t something he could just pass off any longer. He had to admit it was a part of him, whether he liked that part or not just didn’t matter in the slightest. The saiyans were simply more like long lost family members now to him. They attacked his home so many times, he had found it hard to forgive, they had even built their outpost over where his old home had been near the southern islands. His adoptive parents graves, built over by a fortress, a fortress destroyed by the god Caesar...he hated it..he hated being a saiyan.
“You may have joined them here, but Nasu, Komatsu, they came here and attacked this place still. This was still our own home. Not everything is always going to be in a one on one fight, I’ve already had to face multiple two on ones from Nasu’s army. The point is, that’s what you may not understand about us earthlings, well those of us raised earthling. If you threatening to hurt our family, we won’t willing begrudge on a one vs one. It may be dishonorable to a saiyan to fight more than one against somebody else. However, for us earthlings raised or not, there is nothing more dishonorable than protecting the ones we love at no matter the cost. I’ve heard bits of the story for most of my time having been at this lookout. I know the destruction that was caused here by the saiyans.” Chris would speak as he continued to listen on for now. “I’m afraid you are far far too late to unite them any longer. There are two groups now, one lead by Komatsu, one lead by Nasu. Royal blood means absolutely nothing now, you may have once been a prince, but people just don’t care any longer. Simply to tell you the truth the saiyans follows those they chose willingly, it’s simply not by royal blood any longer. Komatsu leads some of the remnants by the saiyans of his people’s choice, Nasu leads, not through forced means, but his own people chose him. I don’t know which empire you could have been a prince from, but the only one I know of is Caesar’s empire, now gone, and the old saiyan empire. Which thankfully was easily defeated by Caesar. Never could forgive those bastards for what they did to my sister. Either way both names of both empires are disgraces to the saiyan name nowadays for most of us..at least it was...until Nasu decided to make his own empire act more like it.” Chris would leave off at that end point. His cousin had truly turned things for the worse in this galaxy. He himself had put all that work into trying to save his own sister from the demon queen and Nasu had just let her have her. He still didn’t know how to forgive fully for that. It was strange, he could forgive Nasu and yet he couldn’t help but feel bad for what he had done to him.
“I don’t think you fully grasp how bad everything is yet. Earth’s defenders used to be numerous, me, Galen and two others...we’re essentially all that is left. The worst part is, you use my power as a scale, when I last faced Nasu, his own power was easily double my own. Your own enemies by now are more likely on one of two choices, dead or serving one of those two. Athren however, now I remember your name, in the stories Cambia tells me...of her child’s father..If you’re going to go find my..cousin Komatsu, go speak to her first at least, you owe her that much. Another thing, when you arrive to find him, don’t expect the saiyans there to be worshiping you for having that royal blood. Even as family to him, I don’t get much batted except maybe a slight glance. However...you can find him..on Namek. I can upload the coordinates for exact specifics on where he is to your ship if you do have one.”
WC: 851 Revealed to Athren where Komatsu headed towards
Athren was at least willing to talk about what happened and he didn’t seem like a bad person; he didn’t seem like a hero either, but somewhere within the neutral zone for now and that was good enough for Galen, who didn’t like to judge people at all. When he said that Atsuko’s friends ganged up against Athren, Galen, unfortunately didn’t doubt and that made him sigh and feel relieved that Arion was now the Guardian of the Earth, and that was making things better, although slowly. Then, when he said that some people would better no hear his name, Galen nodded in agreement; he wouldn’t be selling him out without a very good reason and, as far as he was concerned, Athren wasn’t an enemy to him at this point.
Still, when he said that he was the fallen prince of the saiyans, that made Galen arch both his brows, quite surprised: he had heard tales about this person, and how he was killed by Jarvis, the self-proclaimed Caesar of the Cerulean Empire and for him to be here, in the world of the living could only mean that either Jarvis lied, or he was yet another one to trick the boundaries of death and that seemed way too extraordinary. Oblivious to Galen was the fact that the human too had died, in an alternative reality where Whis hadn’t intervened in the affairs that took place on this very same Timeless Lookout. ”The saiyan prince…” he limited himself to say and then stared at Chris, curious as to what his friend would be saying.
What Chris was saying was true and Galen nodded in agreement: as much as he liked honor and to fight one on one, if that meant the risk of the ones he swore to protect, he would definitely cast his honor aside and do whatever it takes for the greater good. Galen was a human, so it was far easier choice for him because it didn’t hurt his feelings all that much; he wasn’t a natural born warrior and, in truth, he hoped one day he could just stop fighting and just live his life in peace. Galen was listening carefully about this new saiyan society as it was a good knowledge that he still lacked. Still, when he said that Nasu was so much more powerful than him, Galen couldn’t remain silent. ”I-is that even possible?! Wow… That’s… Absurd…” he wasn’t doubting his friend, but the scale was just too much for him to grasp and thus he gulped, feeling rather nervous with the picture of his potential enemies.
When he mentioned him being the father of Okra, that further surprised Galen, who was now scratching the back of his neck, feeling completely overwhelmed, but he had to agree with Chris. ”Whatever you choose, prince Athren, go see your family, your son. He is a cute kid.” he said in a gentle tone.
