“Is that all you can do to me?! I trashed over a hundred of your comrades yesterday, and this is all you can muster? BRING ON THE HEAT YOU FLOATING TRASH BINS!!!
Tomina roared as she engaged 5 combat bots in her gravity chamber. She had decided to go with her initial gut from last time and reduced it to half the amount she had trained with in the last section. She was afraid that this would make things too easy, but she had nothing to worry about. The increased gravity from the last time still made this a pretty significant challenge. It wasn’t as suicidal as the last work out she had, but she wasn’t going to come out of this unscathed. She had taken down most of them, but she was not out of the woods just yet.
The combat bots fired energy spheres at her. Two from above, two from below, and one in the center. These bots had a very good grasp on the concept of 3 dimensional combat. Unfortunately for them, they weren’t really used to fighting an Elemi who could manipulate fire in unique ways. A pair of flaming wings grew out off the back of the Elemi, batting away the energy balls that were flung at her while slicing up the one in the middle.
She extended her hand, and an arm made of pure fire shot up, grabbing onto one of the remaining bots. They all tried returning fire, blasting more attacks at her while trying to get into a more favorable position. Tomina waited for a lull in the fire before throwing the bot she was holding onto down. It hit one one of the other bots at an angle, causing it to bounce off and slam into another one. Tomina took the last one out of commission with an energy beam at point blank range. The exercise now over, the gravity chamber turned off. Tomina floated back to the ground, picking up a towel and wiping off her face and hair.
“3 minutes… that’s a new record. Although I’ve got to do better than that if I’m going to take out our stronger enemies.”
Tomina had decided to do more training at her mansion while waiting for someone to show up. She had called Fennle to her mansion. She didn’t explain why to the Saiyaness, only that she required her presence. Tomina had not seen her since the battle to take over Saiya. The Saiyan hybrid had saved her life during the battle. Now hopefully Fennle would return the favor. While she was using her rank to call her here, it was up to her whether or not she would accept her request.

Fennle didn’t particularly like being “summoned” by Tomina, since, even though they held the same rank, she was part of Nasu’s faction for a very long time now, but she couldn’t help it; she knew Saiyan society way too well and with the energy level Tomina was currently displaying, she was pretty sure she would be outranking her soon, the only thing she needed was another war accomplishment, and, truth be told, Tomina was far more likely to achieve that than Fennle. The saiyaness was a bit bitter with her own realization, because it annoyed her to no end that her greatest accomplishment was, ultimately, having become a super saiyan, which was kind of a bargain sale now. She was happy they had so many of them, but she was mad that most of them were stronger than her.
The saiyaness didn’t waste much time and shortly after her summon, she was already at Tomina’s mansion. ”Already with a mansion. Power really has a straight connection to her own idea of herself. Or maybe I’m just envious, but damn! What is this power level?! How come she grew this much in such a short span of time… She looks like Nasu through and through…” Fennle thought to herself, scoffing a bit as she got inside the place.
As soon as she got in, though, she sensed the enhanced gravity and she stumbled a bit mostly because of the surprise; Fennle was used to training under 100G, even though it didn’t do the same miracle for her it did for a lot of other saiyans, but after this little incident, she recovered and just folded her arms, swaying her tail from one side to the other. ”Well… I’m here.” she said, making herself known.

When she lay eyes on her fellow Saiyaness, Tomina nearly did a double take. Fennle was truly the splitting image of Queen Lettis. She had first noticed this back when she had first encountered her when they were fighting for to take over Saiya. Although she was able to push it to the back of her mind at the time. She had just obtained a new transformation, and was feeling the rush of being in a full scale war for the first time in years. Now that she had time to think about it though, it definitely felt we’re seeing her like this.
If she had as monstrous a power level as Lettis did, I probably would have bowed to Fennle out of instinct. I know some of the low level Saiyans look alike due to how our gene pool is structured. To find someone that looks like her though…. well, Lettis was just like any other Saiyan at one point.
Tomina led Fennle to a more open space inside the mansion as she mused over her thoughts. She didn’t want to ruin her place by fighting where all the furniture and decorations were. Tomina walked to the middle of the room, then turned and faced her Saiyan comrade.
“I appreciate you accepting my invitation and coming on such short notice Fennle. I realize that the summoning is a bit unusual considering we’re the same rank, but the truth is that I need a favor, and I wanted to be discrete about it. I figured we could talk about it while sparring. It will be a nice way to pass the time while we discuss the matter and hand.”
Tomina shifted so she was in the Vegetean fighting style stance. The true stance was different from the form that Cress used in combat. She kept her eyes on her fellow Squad Captain, her blue eyes studying the Saiyaness’s darker shade.
“I’ll get straight to the point. Were you one of the Saiyans that got a vision from that Kai we captured? I’m sure you’ve heard the stories about other Saiyans experiencing them at the very least.”
Tomina waited for Fennle to make the first move. She was a Saiyan comrade who she had invited into her home. It would have been rude if she had just went up and attacked her without any warning. Even though it didn’t seem like it to outsides, there were some forms of Saiyan etiquette that they practiced.

Fennle did resemble Queen Lettis and even though nobody paid a deep mind to that, there was a more interesting explanation rather than just saiyan genes and overall similar appearances. The truth about it, though, remained hidden from most and possibly only Miso knew about it, not even Fennle herself knew about her heritage and background, but that was a matter for another time, should Tomina grow interested in actually investigating the resemblance.
The saiyaness folded her arms in front of her chest and leaned against her left leg while staring at Tomina, who thanked her for showing up, recognizing it was unusual to summon people within the same rank, but she just shook her head. ”It’s fine.” she simply said and when Tomina said she wanted to talk while sparring, she felt a bit over the fence about it; while she was thrilled to fight as any true saiyan would, the absurd gap in power between the two of them hurt her pride, but she wouldn’t be backing down from a fight, so he shrugged. ”We can do that, yes, but what do you want to talk about?” she asked the hybrid.
With Tomina shifiting to her fighting stance, so did Fennle, sliding into the Soy School stance and carefully watching Tomina with her brown eyes, narrowing them showing she was being careful. When she asked her about the vision, she scoffed. ”That fool did try, but I outright blocked him out of my mind. No way in hell I’m letting that foolish god messing with my brains.” she bluntly said and, since Tomina wasn’t really doing anything other than stare, she dashed forward, putting all of her heart onto that attack, aiming to throw a powerful elbow strike to Tomina’s face. ”Flash Spirit!” she announced, using one of the Soy School signature melee techniques.
Should she hit, or Tomina block it, it would be followed by a reverse kick to the gut.

The resemblance to Lettis was definitely distracting to Tomina. Even with the knowledge that sometimes lower level Saiyans shared similar genes, things seemed a bit off. Lettis had been one of the strongest warriors to have ever existed. Tomina doubted that Lettis had been born weak enough to share her appearance with others.
<It’s something interesting at the very least. But right now that’s all it is: a curiosity. I have much more important things to take care of right now. I have to train myself and others, get things organized here, make sure Ash doesn’t hatch a scheme against us….crap there's a lot to do. This is something worth looking into later though.>
Tomina watched as Fennle entered the Soy fighting stance. Just that sight of it got Tomina’s blood boiling. At least it was mixed in with the desire for combat though. Most of the time she loved the prospect of a good fight, as any Saiyan would.
"I’ve fought battles my entire life. I was sent out to fight on foreign worlds when I was 5. I’ve faced many opponents over the years. None of them used any of this new age style of mental attacks on me. The Kai’s mental attack was… effective against me. Not only that, but a Android that is now under the Queen’s command tried to escape by using a technique to influence my actions.”
Tomina took a deep breath, forcing herself to expel the next words out of her mouth. Her entire body was resisting her saying them. Although she didn’t have a choice in the matter.
“I despise the Soy Arts. It’s a crude imitation of the polished Vegetean Arts created by the man who took everything from me, and whose actions resulted in the state our race is now in. I would rather pour cheap beer mixed with blood down my throat then learn even one technique from it. Unfortunately, recent events have highlighted a devastating weakness. I can’t allow enemies to toy with my mind whenever they desire.”
Tomina grit her teeth as she struggled to give her request to her fellow Saiyan. This was a painful admission by any accounts. She hated the idea of casting Natto in any kind of positive light. She had to swallow her pride and do it though.
“That being said, I do have to acknowledge when someone creates a very useful technique. Natto realized the dangers of these kind of attacks and invented a way to counteract them. I didn’t have any idea that they could be that effective in a battle, but he did. I… want you to teach me the Strong Will technique. I need to protect my mind. Physical pain is easy to handle. Mental attacks though…”
Tomina broke off as the memories of the Kai and Ash manipulating her mind came to the surface. Both of those experiences were terrifying for Tomina. And she was someone who would fearlessly fight foes that were stronger then her. Pushing them back down, Tomina prepared herself for Fennle’s attack, her body trembling with both the trauma of the mental attacks, and the prospect of the spar that was about to happen.
“I want this to remain as discreet as possible. I don’t want our enemies finding out about it until they try breaching my mind. Ash finding out about it at this stage of things would be problematic too. Plus, I don’t want it to be public knowledge that I specifically requested to learn a technique invented by that wretched man. This is a hard enough pill to swallow as it is. If you still feel indebted to me for saving your life, then you can consider that debt paid by teaching me that technique.”
When Fennle threw the basic Soy Arts technique at her, Tomina responded in kind, rushing forward to face her opponent headlong and throw a chop to intercept Fennle’s elbow. It collided with her arm, stopping the blow in its tracks. Tomina’s brow furrowed as she pushed against it, attempting to force Fennle’s arm back. once she accomplished that, she was going to aim a chop at the Saiyaness’s ribs. Tomina was directly challenging the Soy Arts with her Vegetean Arts. She wanted to prove right there that the fighting style of the empire was superior to Natto’s techniques.

Fennle heard to Tomina’s words and she silently agreed: she was glad she knew how to protect her own mind from such foul type of attack because they were the most invasive among them all. At the same time she could understand Tomina’s position regarding Natto, but she still finds it rather odd the fact that someone who hated Natto and Tomoroko so much could even accept following Nasu. Of course the fruit fell way too far from the tree when you look at Nasu and his parents, but still, they were blood. Her speech was leading to the topic she wanted so Fennle wasn’t surprised when she asked her to teach the Strong Will. Before she could answer, though, the attacks clashed and Fennle immediately recognized the Ribs Breaker, a quite deadly Vegetean technique she faced once or twice during the war.
The saiyaness grimaced as Tomina overpowered her in both sheer force and skill, making the Ribs Breaker to prevail against the Flash Spirit. ”Grr! Dammit!” she cursed as he dashed backwards to put some distance in between them. The impact on her ribs were strong but luckily she wasn’t a weakling and she was wearing a now cracked battle suit, which absorbed a great deal of the impact.
”Ribs Breaker, uhn? I hate this damn technique! But in any case… Strong Will… I could teach you that yes, but why didn’t you ask Nasu or even Karota for that? I’m trained in the Soy School but I’m not even close to be a decent practitioner of it.” she stated.

Tomina smirked as she broke through and hit Fennle’s armor. It was enough to put a sizable dent in it, so she probably suffered some minor damage. She stayed in her current position, her eyes watching the retreating Saiyaness.
“Right back at you. I hate the Flash Spirit technique as much as you hate my Rib Breaker. It’s been awhile since someone has called any of my Vegetean Arts techniques by name. You must have fought an Empire Saiyan before. This style is now all but extinct ever since the fall of the Empire.”
Tomina stood up straight, appearing to be calm despite bringing up the fall of the Empire. She seemed to be getting able to control her anger a little better. Perhaps it was because of all the training she had done to keep her emotions in check while training.
“I came to you for a few reasons. First off, Nasu is rather busy running the Kingdom. Things are particularly hectic right now. As for Karota, she has been through quite a bit lately. Plus we had a rather tense interaction when we were trying to stop the Queen from destroying the palace. It’s best to let things cool down right now. Plus, asking for help from a superior is hard for me. See in the Empire, you didn’t ask higher ranking members for things. If they felt like you earned something, they gave it to you. So it feels… strange asking someone higher ranking than me for something. Some old habits never die.”
Tomina did her best to get rid of habits she knew she didn’t need anymore, or control the ones she either needed or couldn’t fully get rid of. There were some that were still prevalent enough to affect things. She was forced to work around those ones sometimes.
“There’s also one other different reason why I asked you to come here. See, I have this technique that I’ve finally managed to complete. Or rather, I’m pretty sure It’s completed. It's by far my strongest technique. I showed the incomplete version to Queen Kinoko, and she told me that she wanted to see it after it was fully finished. So I’d like to test it out before I present it to her. Don’t worry, I don’t intend using it on you. I just want someone to bear witness to the first firing of the new and improved Super Galick Gun. I freely admit that sometimes my vanity gets the better of me.”
Tomina was very proud of herself for coming this far. After 8 years of practicing it and adding on to it, she was finally at the point where she could now use if in a fight to its fullest potential. If she truly had succeeded in this, she would have surpassed the original technique Queen Lettis had taught her all those years ago.
“So I was thinking we would continue sparring for a little while, and then we’d go outside so I can fire my technique into space. After that, I want to learn the Strong Will technique. With all that out of the way, let us continue!”
Tomina flew forward, aiming a punch at Fennl’s jaw. It was a straight, very simple attack. Although that was what Tomina was aiming for. Sometimes simplicity was the best option in a situation.

Tomina explained why she chose Fennle rather than any other and, in a sense, she felt good she was remembered. Truth be told, Fennle hated to be weaker than most of the other veterans and that annoyed her to no end. Tomina’s reponse satisfied her and she shrugged. ”Fair enough I suppose.” she simply said, but then when the hybrid said there was another reason, she arched one of her brows and stared at her with her brown eyes with curiosity. When she said the name of the technique, Fennle’s eyes widened quite a bit and the memories of the war came punching her like crazy. ”Super… Galick Gun?! T-that’s… The Wicked Queen’s technique, is it not?!” the wicked queen, the mad queen, were all names the Alliance saiyans used to refer to Lettis, much akin to how they addressed Natto as the defiler, the betrayer, the rebellious and such.
”Just who are you, Tomina?!” she asked, feeling quite unease since that technique was something absolutely exclusive and, among the Empire’s forces, only the queen knew it. In any case, she wanted to learn how to protect her mind and Fennle wouldn’t mind teaching her how to do that, but only after a few more minutes sparring. Without wasting any time, Tomina came again, aiming to hit Fennle with a punch to the jaw, but the saiyaness had her proud at stake and, in response to the attack, she flared a bright blue aura around her body and body slammed against Tomina’s punch with another powerful technique. ”Rebelion Spear!” she roared, clashing against the fist of the saiyaness with an absurd force.

When Fennle asked Tomina who she really was, Tomina’s face split apart into a grin. It was a very strange grin that had a bit of humor behind it, but there was something else there as well.
“So you’re the first one to ask me that question. I was wondering when someone was going to throw it out there. My money was on Kinoko or Karota being the one to want to know more. But you ended up being the one seeing a bit past the surface. Our group seems to be way too accepting of things. We need to start questioning things more.”
Tomina’s eyes widened when Fennle threw out one of the stronger moves of the Soy Arts. She slammed against Tomina’s fist, sending it flying back and continuing onward to slam into Tomina herself. The hybrid Saiyan grunted, the impact enough to send her off her feet and fly backward. She managed to plant her feet on the floor again though, and skid to a halt around 20 feet away. She held up her fist, noting that it was bleeding slightly.
“I didn’t expect you to throw out an attack this strong this quick into things. I suppose you became a bit on edge ever since I brought up Lettis’s signature technique. It’s understandable. That reputation of “the Wicked Queen” was well deserved. Still, well done.”
Tomina bend forward, sliding her right leg behind her. She was preparing to give quite the counterblow to her sparring partner. She wasn't going to pull any punches now.
“Since you are the first to ask, I’ll tell you a bit about who I really am once this spar is over. A name alone doesn’t define someone after all. I’ll also tell you how I acquired that technique while I’m charging it up for a demonstration. God, I’m so excited to show you that move now. I’m going to try and end this as soon as possible!”
Tomina flew forward and threw a punch at Fennle. If that hit, then it would lead into the next piece of her combination. She would then throw a kick that was meant to send the other Saiyaness high into the air. Tomina would follow Fennle up, kicking her once again from below, this time towards Fennle’s stomach. If that all connected, Tomina would have one final blow to inflict. She vanished and reappeared above Fennle, her elbow pointed downward.
“Spirit Breaking Canon!”
Exclaimed Tomina, slamming her elbow down at the rising Saiyaness. She made sure to hold back enough so that she wouldn’t be knocked out or cause permanent damage. But it was still meant to end the spar between them.

Fennle hmphed. ”I’m not as single-minded as the others. And Karota is not in her right mind yet, not with what happened with General… I mean, Commander-in-Chief Miso. I’m still growing used to the new titles…” she sighed in mild annoyance. In any case, they were talking amidst a sparring session and, even though that was far more common than it should, they were still trying to hit each other and this time Fennle had the upper hand with the technique Natto created. Tomina congratulated her for it, but obviously she wouldn’t let it slide without some retribution.
Tomina came like a speeding bullet and tried to punch her in the face. She crossed her arms hands in front of it but the impact was rather heavy and she grunted, grimacing in pain. But before she could do anything else she was kicked into the air in a quite vulnerable position. ”Shit, not that one!” she grunted once again as she saw the saiyaness coming to hit her in the stomach. Fennle’s pride was already shattered and, truth be told, she didn’t want to endure any more of this pain and thus she flared a bright golden ki aura around her body, making her power skyrocket as she ascended into her fully powered super saiyan form.
[Super Saiyan Full Power. PL: 1,266,480]
The power boost allowed her to vanish from sight and reappear behind Tomina, dodging the second and most deadly part of the technique. The saiyaness stared at the hybrid with her teal-colored eyes and sighed, reverting back to her base form. ”You are annoyingly strong and skilled! It pissed me off to some extent, you know?!” she admitted, scoffing a bit before gazing away from Tomina.

“Heh, the advantages of being very long time friends with our comrades, eh? I have to watch what I say most of the time, since I’ve only been here for a few months. I certainly wouldn’t get away with calling my superior officers simple minded. Karota being off is understandable, all things considered. These last few months have been strange.”
Tomina’s attack hit Fennle dead on. She only got in half her combo before Fennle transformed and dodged it. Tomina whirled around, prepared to continue things further when Fennle powered down. It seemed as though the spar had ended. Tomina grinned at Fennle she expressed her frustration with how strong the hybrid was.
“You’ll be glad I’m this strong once we go to war. But I do know the feeling. I was surrounded by stronger people than me throughout most of my life. I couldn’t obtain my transformations until recently, which meant that even the most basic of Super Saiyans were stronger than me. You and I both know what to do about that. Although I do have a natural advantage over you, and it comes back to the question you asked earlier.”
Tomkna’s smile faded, although her overall demeanor remained constant. She seemed to be in high spirits. Tomina slide her hands down to her legs, her arms hanging down with them.
“You’re on the right track, asking who I really am. Although the more accurate question would be “what are you?” I was forged in fire to be one of Lettis’s weapons. Not just any weapon though: a very specialized weapon. My hybridization was decided before my birth in order to obtain certain abilities. My longer lifespan and ability to quickly learn and adapt are also attributed to my Elemi side. Not only that, but the hybridization was designed to do one more thing to turn me into a weapon.”
Tomina held her hands behind her back, clasping them together as slowly paced back and forth. Tomina never stood still for too long, especially since her demeanor could change at the drop of a hat.
“”Wicked” was a very good description of Lettis. Although there was always a point to her cruelty. By making me a hybrid, she ensured that my life would be harsher. Not only did I have to invade foreign planets at a very young age, but I also had to deal with discrimination back at home. As you likely know, the Empire considered hybrids to be inferior. Not having a tail was a very dead giveaway. I was out through a lot, verbally and physically. I came close to dying a couple of times. I always had to watch my back. Whether I was invading other worlds or at home, I was always surrounded by people who intended to do me harm. I would have turned out crueler than Lettis if I never met Karen.”
When she said that name, a strange change came over Tomina. She looked… happy. The small smile on her lips was nothing compared to her more vibrant expressionss. And yet it didn’t have the same cocky edge behind it that the others did. For a few seconds she just stood there with that smile on her face. Tomina then shook her head, turning to face Fennle again.
“While I didn’t turn out exactly the way she wanted, I was still loyal to the Empire. I was her weapon. If I had to pick what kind of weapon I saw myself as, then it would be a spear. At this point though, I view myself as a knight wielding a spear. The spear being all the techniques I’ve learned. And the Super Galick Gun is the point of that spear. It’s time for a proper demonstration!”
Tomina turned off the simulated gravity, and walked out of the room. She made her way outside, before jumping onto the rooftop. She stood up there, waiting for Fennle to join her. Hopefully she would be able to show her a finished technique.

The sparring was over and even though Fennle managed to dodge the later half of the attack she had been defeated and that left a bitter taste in her mouth, but she would have to swallow it and accept she was bested by the hybrid; being bested wasn’t something she was alien to anyways. ”Yeah, yeah… I will be delighted there’s yet another one who can come and save me when I’m about to die…” her tone was bitter, but she was actually glad deep inside; Fennle was a proud saiyaness, but she didn’t want to die or even face such a dreadful fate as Miso had, being turned to stone and being at the hands of a mad scientist in order to be restored.
Tomina continued her speech by explaining what she was and her explanation was nothing less than extraordinary, making Fennle’s jaw to drop in both shock and surprise. What was even stranger and warning was the fact that Tomina seemed to actually love the wicked queen, despite her cruel behavior and lack of apparent emotions. Fennle was quite confused now and she shook her head, as if she wanted to throw her suspicions away from her, but in the end she could not and that was bugging her so much she furrowed her brows and stared at the hybrid as she finished her speech speaking about being a spear and how that absurdly powerful technique would be the point of it.
Fennle followed her quickly as they reached the rooftop, but before she could start, the saiyaness spoke. ”You… You see Nasu as someone similar to the wick… To Lettis, don’t you?” she bluntly asked.

Tomina did not miss the bitter tone of Fennle’s voice. She normally wasn’t for showing kindness, but here was a comrade who needed a bit of encouragement. She patted Fennle on the pack a couple of times.
“You’ll become as powerful as the commanders one day. You have the strongest warriors in the galaxy to learn from. If you’re willing to put aside your pride, I could help you get stronger. I’m about to begin the training regiment for Saiyans who are interested in it, so fitting it end wouldn’t be a problem. Perhaps Nasu would be willing to train with you too. You’re pretty strong as you are right now too. The only reason you nearly died is because an opponent stronger than you almost literally tried to stab you in the back. And that was when they already had the number advantage. Honestly, I’ve never faced a more pathetic lot then Caesar and Nakiya’s forces.”
That statement wasn’t uttered lightly. Tomina had fought for the Empire on other worlds only a month after she got out of the incubation chamber. She had cleared a good amount of worlds for the Empire to take over. and through 15 years of fighting, Caesar and Nakiya’s army were the most annoying bunch she had to face. Tomina waited till Fennle was on the roof with her, and held her hands together while moving them to her waist. She did give her fellow warrior a glance though, her eyebrow raising at Fennle’s behavior.
“You stopped short of calling her wicked again. You can tell I admire her, so did you correct yourself for my sake? Putting that aside, I won’t deny that I joined the Kingdom because of its similarities to the Empire. And Nasu certainly has the mindset of a conqueror like Lettis. Despite sharing that one trait though, I don’t view him as another Lettis. He was furious when he saw how hurt Luffa was, and relieved he was still alive. He ordered you to take him to heal him. He cares for the two of you.”
Tomina turned her head so that it faced away from Fennle, pausing to let her words sink in. Honestly she still found it surprising herself. Nasu was not what she expected him to be. He certainly cared a lot for the people under him, which Lettis would have seen as a weakness. But Nasu’s mentality was good considering their race was on the brink of extinction now. Every Saiyan life was priceless at this point.
“Lettis would have told you to keep on fighting and let Luffa die. She wanted as many soldiers at her disposal as she could. If you were defeated like that, then you didn’t deserve to get healed. So no, I don’t view Nasu in the same light as Lettis. Although he has ruthlessness and ambition much like her. That’s a trait most of the strong Saiyans have though. Queen Lettis wasn’t the first and wasn’t the last to have those qualities.”
A purple beam with blue energy enveloping it began to charge in Tomina’s hands. The blue energy pulsed and writhed around the rest of the energy like flames. Tomina looked up towards the sky, watching the clouds roll by as she charged her ultimate technique.
“I’ll tell you how I came to learn the original version of the Super Galick Gun. I’m sure you’ll find it hard to believe, but it is the truth. I had worked as a royal guard for 2 years. So I did know Lettis fairly well by that point. Although she still found a way to surprise me. Two months before the Alliance-Empire War, Lettis summoned me to the throne room, saying that she wanted to discuss something with me. I was more than a little nervous, since she didn't exactly summon people to compliment them.”
Tomina chuckled, shaking her head as she recalled some of the more unfortunate souls to face her wrath in the throne room. She had a front row seat to watching Saiyans who displeased her meet unpleasant fates. It was entertaining as hell, to say the least. Their reactions were priceless.
“I hadn’t done anything wrong though, and my performance was good though. So I figured I would come out of there alive. By this point I had mastered all I could of the Vegetean arts. I had accepted that I would never be able to use the most powerful technique of the arts, since I can’t turn into an Ozaru. I had accepted this and made do with the techniques I did have. As I discovered though, apparently Lettis did not accept it the way I had. I got summoned to the throne room, bowed before the Queen and went through the standard submissive greeting. And then...”
Eight Years Ago: Planet Vegeta
“You wished to speak to me your majesty?”
A ten year old Tomina was kneeling before her Queen, bowing her head to her. They weren't the only Saiyans in the throne room: other guards and some significant figures were also present. Tomina had no idea what Lettis wanted to talk to her about, so she was a little nervous. Even the bravest of Saiyans were weary of Lettis. Still, she hid her apprehension well, as usual. All that could be done was to wait to see what the Queen wanted to say to her.

Her words didn’t reach Fennle’s heart. By now she knew she stood on a whole different level from her fellow companions and she was trying to make her peace with that. Nonetheless, she didn’t feel like making little of Tomina’s words since the hybrid seemed to be trying to be kind to her, which was something rare among saiyans so she just appreciated it with a half-hearted smile in the corner of her mouth. Tomina also noticed how Fennle avoided the title of “wicked queen” which she did out of respect for the hybrid and then started to explain her reasons behind joining the Saiyan Galactic Kingdom. The hybrid made a pretty good point: Nasu wasn’t like Lettis at all; he cared about his comrades and would boldly put his life on the line to save any of them and that made Fennle smile with honesty. ”Nasu… He does care…” and there was more to her tone than simply a subordinates admiration. Fennle loved Nasu, she had loved him for over ten years, ever since he saved her from certain death during the war against the Empire, even though he was but a soldier with little power, a dwarf among the titanic super saiyans battling there.
”And that’s why we call Lettis wicked… She cared for no one but herself. That’s why the Alliance came to exist, you know? Of course you do… Maybe you didn’t hear our version of the story and you probably should. But Natto did what he did for the sake of his comrades and not out of pure, unmotivated betrayal.” she said with a cautious tone. Still, when Tomina commented she had learned the Super Galick Gun, Fennle narrowed her eyes, not quite sure she believed that, but since she was willing to tell her the tale, she would carefully listen to it.
”I’m curious to this tale of yours. Tell me, Tomina.” she said and then she folded her arms and just silently listened to her tale.
Lettis, the Saiyan Queen [Power Level 470,000]
Lettis was sitting on her throne like she used to, quite slouch when Tomina entered the throne room. Some high figures were there, such as Redis, Rukko and Artichia, but they were all silent. Rukko seemed his casual self, with that smirk on his face, but both Redis and Artichia seemed rather concerned. Lettis, on the other hand, seemed as bored as always, but someone who was careful enough would notice a tad bit of concern within her black eyes. ”Show it to her. Show what that worm had the balls to tell me.” she ordered, without staring at anyone but Tomina. Redis was the one to respond to her order though and walked towards the center of the room, where lied a hologram device. When he pressed the button on it, an image of Natto appeared in the middle of the throne room.
Natto, the betrayer [Power Level: 520,000]
”Lettis, stop this nonsense. I don’t want any more blood from our kin, but if you continue to attack us we will have no other choice but to wage war against the Empire. I reiterate my position: I don’t want any more blood. I don’t care what you do as long as you don’t cross our path. This is your final warning. I lost my patience and, as things currently stand, you have no chance to beat me on a single combat, nor do your forces stand a chance against the Saiyan Alliance. That’s why I’m asking you to stop this madness. I don’t want to kill your people, some of them were my friends! I fought beside them, I commanded them.” Natto sighed almost as if it pained him to be saying those words. ”But I will kill them if I have to… If it is what it takes to end this bloodshed and give our race the peace it deserves. But hear me out. If we start a war, you will die. I will make sure of it and I will do it with my own hands. You can’t beat me, you can’t beat me for a while now and, due to the respect I have for you as a warrior… I managed to surpass the power of a super saiyan two. I’ve reached a power no other saiyan has reached in our life time and in our most recent history. Give up and live, insist and die. I end my message here.” after those words, the hologram vanished and Redis sighed. He dared stare at the queen and speak to her.
Redis, Commandant of the Empire [Power Level: 170,000]
”My queen, we should consider Natto’s offer… We can’t possibly…” but before he could continue, Lettis opened her palm, aiming at Redis and shouted. ”Big Bang Attack!” the energy sphere was fast as lightning and before Redis could even react he was hit by the blast which exploded on him, knocking him out cold. He was nearly killed by it and then she sighed in annoyance. ”Artichia, take him to a damn healing pod… Maybe he will grow some balls with a zenkai.” she said and the other Commandant bowed and quickly complied to her orders, leaving the throne room at once.
Rukko was chuckling with the scene, but Lettis found no amusement in that. She sighed and a vein popped out of her temple, showing just how stressed she was and Rukko, seeing that, stared at young Tomina, chuckling a bit more. ”Our scouters read his power level. 520,000… Huhuhuhuhu! That’s obscene! He keeps on managing to out power you, my queen!” and his tease rendered him a deadly glare from Lettis, but she knew she couldn’t give herself the satisfaction of killing Rukko right now; he was the strongest in her army and, as much of an annoyance he was, the saiyan was a brute and this ruthlessness would be needed in the war.
”Kid, it’s about time you prove yourself to be useful. I’m sending Athren away as part of my legacy, should things go south. But there’s something I need you to do in my name. Be honored I’m even wasting time on such a thing as yourself. Still, you have proved yourself worthy of my appreciation.” she said, cracking some sort of wicked grin in the corner of her mouth.

When the hologram was activated, Tomina climbed to her feet and watched as Natto spoke through it. She felt herself getting angrier and angrier the more he talked. It was obvious that she felt this way too. Her ki aura flared up slightly, and the tip of her hair turned red. If her emotions got extreme enough, then her body physically displayed what she was feeling in some way. And Natto talking like this got her mad quickly.
Most of the rage she felt evaporated when Lettis blasted Redis. Her hair color returned to normal as she watched him get taken out by that one shot. Tomina did like Redis for the most part: he was a strong Saiyan who had a good head on his shoulder. There were times where he thought a little too much about things though. She tilted her head forward slightly, slapping her palm against her face.
<What did he think was going to happen? He outright suggested for Lettis to consider peace terms, and accept that Natto is superior to her. He should have known how she was going to react: he’s her brother after all.>
Tomina’s head snapped up out from her hand, her mouth gaping wide open as she heard the measurements for Natto’s current base power level.
“520,000?! That’s completely absurd! How could that peace loving traitor reach that level of power? Only a true Saiyan should even have a chance of becoming that strong!”
Now Tomina understood why Lettis was so on edge. If he was that strong, then maybe he wasn’t bluffing about that new level of power he had. If he wasn’t, then who knew how powerful he could get? Which did make Tomina a bit mad with how Rukko was treating the situation. Did he not just see what Lettis did to her own brother? But that was quickly forgotten when the Queen spoke to her. She faced the Queen, frowning as she heard what Lettis said regarding Athren.
“Considering everything we know right now, I understand the need to protect Athren. I hope wherever you’re sending him is obscure and secure. If our enemies got ahold of him, they might try and use him as leverage. I don’t doubt Athren’s strength, but there are monsters out there.”
Tomina was going to miss Athren a little bit. She interacted with him fairly often, since she was one of the Royal Guard. She talked to him fairly often. He was one of the people she talked with whenever her duties left her too busy to interact with Karen. What Lettis said next though made her look at the Queen with bemusement though.
“I’m always willing to serve your majesty. Although I don’t know what it is I can do that anyone else in this room can’t. Whatever this is does sound very important. What do you need me to do?”
Tomina was getting more and more curious by the minute. What could Lettis want from her? This wasn’t a strategical meeting, since they had yet to talk about the specifics on how they were going to deal with Natto. No, Lettis seemed to want something specifically from her. Tomina knew the drill though. She would just have to wait until she was told what was going on.
