<Goddammit...how long does this place go on? It's fucking huge! I never thought the afterlife would be such a damned chore...hrmf..> Mentally, the warrior folded his arms over his chest and grunted. Though physically, he could only puff out what appeared to be smoke. Hell was hot...even for Carva. His one saving grace was that he couldn't feel that heat. He could only assume that from the bright golden clouds and erupting volcanoes in the distance from which those clouds were spouting from that this place was typically what Earthlings were afraid of.
"Be good" they said. "Repent" they warned. However, the warrior had made his choice long ago, and there wasn't any turning back now. A Saiya-jin warrior stayed strong in his beliefs, he didn't duck and run like a small puppy with it's tail tucked between it's legs.
Carva found his lack of a body to be quite an advantage in some ways. His stomach was growling, he wasn't thirsty. He did however long for his great power. The Legendary Super Cloud just wasn't as exciting as being a true-to-life Legendary Super Saiya-jin. Plus...those words from Aka...they kept playing over and over in the back of his non-existent mind.
"Don't worry...you'll be out in a decade or two..."
His mind paraphrased it...but a decade? Carva wasn't having any of that bullshit. No sir. The cloud grumbled as it flitted along the charred surface of Hell, wanting so badly to punch something. The frustration set in when he realive that his little cloud fists could do nothing. <This is ridiculous. Why the hell did they have to take my body away in the first place?! I could have sworn they let one of those guys go with HIS body! That's just unjust...what did he deserve to get such preferential treatment! Damn it! Who the hell do I have to call to file a formal complaint?!>
BAM!
"What the hell?!" This exclamation was made due to the fact that Carva cloud had suddenly and quite rudely been stopped by...nothing? If he had eyes, his distrust in them would be quite evident. His skepticism would be at an all time high. After all, he could see a long and winding road, going uphill right in front of him. At the same time...as he tried to move forward...he bumped once again into an invisible wall. <Damn it...this place is weird. What the hell is going on here anyway? Have I stepped into a frickin' cartoon or something?! The road...it's right there! So what's keeping me from getting there!?>
"Hehehehe..." another voice. An unfamiliar voice. An annoying voice. The source of the voice made the young cloud speechless, as he'd seen nothing like it in his life. Or death. Standing directly to his right was quite a sight, it's black fur shimmering in the golden light. It's ears seemed to go on forever, moving down to a humanoid type face, with blood red eyes and two sharp bucked teeth with chewed...on...a carrot. The creature's form wafted and shimmered like smoke...and it asked. "...what's up, doc?"
"...." he wasn't familiar with the creatures of Hell. He knew this. For all he knew, this was a figment of his imagination, brought on by dying. Still...the cloud found itself floating next to this giant, black, bunny with the jagged teeth and red eyes. Every time it would take a bite of it's crunchy carrot, a viscous red substance would trickle down the ragged black fur on it's chest. Carva cloud moved away from the rabbit slowly. "...nope. Not gonna do it. Not going to fool with some hallucination. Got to go get my body, prove that overgrown demon woman wrong."
"Eh...*chews* ...she's an oni, I think. They're naturally big. You weren't thinking lewd thoughts as she was leaning over her desk were you?" The deep, demonic voice cracked the air.
Carva cloud turned pink for a moment. "No. Idiot. I wasn't. The only thought in my mind now, is revenge! I'm going to teach a machine to fear, then I'm going to beat the dog shit out of that..."
"...anubian. Yes, I know. But tell me how you plan to do that without a body? Kind of hard for a cloud to punch and kick, let along a dead cloud..." as if by magic, the creature reached into the tuft of fur on it's chest and brought forth a large book. Two arms would sprout from it's back in a painful looking manner, holding and thumbing through the book as the other two arms worked on the blood carrot. "...Carva? Carva LePumpka..."
"...tch...how do you know my name again?" Asked a shocked cloud.
"...oh dear...this isn't good. I can't give you your body..." the Hell Rabbit, the witch...would reply. So this...was her? Him? Who said a witch had to be male?
"And WHY THE HELL NOT?!" Electricity arced off of the cloud. Of course he was angry, he had come here seeking his physical body. Instead, what did he get? Told "nope".
"...oh...well, I'd fully intended on giving you your body. But then something kinda went wrong as I was preparing it for reentry. Eh..." the scary looking rabbit ended up looking to be the scared looking rabbit for a moment as he explained. "...so...this other soul came along, dead on ringer for your spirit. Dark, evil, Saiya-jin...anyways, I thought he was you and he demanded his body. Which of course, was something you would do, I'm sure. I tried to explain that it wasn't ready...but...he started bouncing off the walls and throwing a tantrum. Like...I'm talking worse than a two year old, and well...I gave in finally. I love kids, but they hate me...can't imagine why...anyway..." The Strange One took a bite of his carrot, shrugging his boney, decomposing shoulders. "...he took over your body and became you. Later found out his name was Rubega."
"Rubega". Rubega. The uncle whom Carva had cast aside the moment before he'd flown to offer aid to Nasu's forces. To say Carva was angry would be an understatement, the warrior cloud turning solid black and billowing, red lightning sparking and taking chunks out of the ground. Carva cloud roared at the Witch. "You better damned well get my body back, or I will murder you!"
"Um...I'm already dead..." The Witch responded, pulling another carrot from the tuft of hair on his chest. "...hey, why don't you get it back yourself? I can probably help you there. After all, it was my mistake..."
"...help me how? You're a damned dead rabbit." Carva stated plainly, still brooding. What a way to spend eternity. Without HIS body, as a billowing cloud. His only friend a decomposing black rabbit with an addiction to blood carrots. True...he was the witch who could restore bodies. If he didn't give them away to the wrong people!
The rabbit shook his head, flipping through his book once more. His red eyes seemed to be looking over a list of bodies, prices, and abilities. He looked at Carva cloud...then at the book...then back at Carva cloud. "I can loan you a body, and you can fight him...and then, you can claim your body back! Of course, if I loan you this body...you must make sure I get it back in good condition! You know, these bodies aren't mine to just give to any....one..." he explained, but he could feel the cloud staring at him angrily. "...right...so...whaddya say, doc? I can let you test drive this purple guy's body, he can change bodies, ya know..."
"Are you stupid...or just ignorant to fact? That body contains the power of a Legendary Super Saiya-jin. There are no bodies in this place that can even HOPE to defeat that!" To say Carva was in a panick would have been an understatement. He knew what he was capable of, that body? It was just too strong...he'd even reached a new level of power in his fight with Cervez. "God...I might as well just accept my fate...I'm screwed..."
"Not so, young padawan." The creature mentioned a word Carva had never heard.
"What did you call me?"
"Errrrr...nothing, just...well, anyway the body I mentioned? It wasn't complete, remember? It was missing the most important part. Sooooo....if you're smart, then you can reclaim it. Just trust me on this one." The Rabbit Witch explained to Carva. True, he'd put the body together...but it was nowhere near it's full potential. Only Rabbit Witch knew what it was missing. He wouldn't tell Carva until much later...
"...." the cloud would sigh, blowing grey smoke into the face of the Rabbit Witch. "...tch. Fine, I'll do it. After all, what have I got to lose? I'm already dead."
"Alright...so just close your eyes..."
"...I don't have eyes, dumbass."
"...whatever. Just...wait one moment, and I'll have you all set up." It was a long, arduous process afterwords. The creature would slash it's own palm and wet the scorched Earth with green blood...steam rising from the circle it made. Then, there was a flash of light...and a large boom. Hell shook...and..."...okay...so let's get you into that body."
"Stop playing! I need that loaner to kick Rubega's sorry ass!" Carva felt...strange. Shaking his head, he could feel that unbearable heat burning his...purple skin? As he looked into the blood river, he'd see his reflection. He shook his head. He was an alien...long horns, purple skin. PTO armor. Strange symbol over the left breast.
"You're...joking...right?" He arched an eyebrow ridge, shocked by what he saw. This was NOT what Carva had in mind. Luckily...it was just a loaner. It wasn't even his final form. Still...it was the stupidest thing Carva had ever seen. It took everything he had not to laugh. But...it was a body, nonetheless. Carva sighed. "Fine...if we're going to do this, let's do it. I want my body back. And..." he leaned in and gave the Rabbit Witch an ominous warning. "...you'd better hope you're right, ass. Or else..."
