Flying low to the ground, Rutaba would just close his eyes and reach out with his Ki sense across the entire planet. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, at least to him, so he continued to press on while making his way towards the Ancient Ruins on Planet Sadal. To tell the truth, he didn't really know WHY they were there, but he assumed that they were from battles long past. He didn't know if they belonged to a different race or if perhaps they were remnants of a long passed group of Saiyans that developed into whatever he was now.
Truly, none of that mattered at the moment, as he wanted to check them out and make sure that nothing was going on there. His ki sense was picking up nothing but as he knew all too well, people could just mask their ki and use the ruins like a nice little hideout. He wasn't assigned to any new missions for the time being but that in no way meant that he could just sit around staring at the flowers. Azukai was probably out there somewhere trying to get vastly stronger and was no doubt getting some progress in it, whereas Rutaba was waiting on missions fairly constantly. If he wanted to catch that traitor and protect the Universe like he wanted to, he would have to get a lot stronger, even stronger than the Grand Supreme Kai. There was no way around it.
But, growing physically was far from the only way to progress oneself, as growing spiritually was something that everyone could gain from. That was where the Ruins came in for the most part, as he felt like they could provide him a nice peaceful place to progress himself inwardly as well as outwardly. "There they are... damn they are massive." he'd mutter to himself softly while boosting the speed at which he was flying, closing his distance to the ruins as quickly as he could, reaching them soon enough where he could land and begin to walk into the ruins themselves. His eyes stared forward with a sharp determination, keeping himself on guard with his uniform on, his blade close to his side so he would be ready for any little thing.

The ancient ruins were a strange place, having some sort of eerie feeling that made the water elemi shiver at the ominous air. Just why were these ruins here, who made them, just what were they? Question after question ran through Wataya's head, but the sound of someone else nearby made her head snap up towards it. "State your name and business."
The young man would immediately move into a prepared stance, one hand on the hilt of his sword as he looked towards the person that spoke to him, relaxing a bit as they just seemed to be asking a fair and formal question. "My name is Rutaba, I am a Peacekeeper of the Sadal Defense Force." he'd look up and away like he was in thought for a moment before he'd stare at the person once more. "As for my business, I guess... I am trying to take a spiritual journey. I've never known anything about these ruins, and I guess I want to mentally attach myself to this place." he would walk forward towards the person a bit, smiling and relaxing his hand off of the sword even more as he would hold his hand out towards them, a smile on his face. "It's nice to meet you... can you give me your name as well?" his voice was calm, trying to give off no hostilities if there were to be any. He didn't want everyone he met to be hostile, so he had to start with trust before he fell to worry.
Wataya watched with her scarlet red eyes hidden under her hood, prepared to draw her blade if need be to defend herself. Apparently his name was Rutaba, he was on some sort of spiritual journey thing. He offered his hand to the water Elemi, who eyed it with some apprehension but shook it and then quickly let go. "Wataya." Her voice was deep and low thanks to the mask, a direct contrast from her womanly figure and her, well, female attributes.
The Saiyan Peacekeeper would nod as she replied, it was short and to the point and he didn't mind that. "Well, Wataya, I can't say I have ever seen you around personally before." he'd look towards the ruins for a moment before looking back at her. "As long as you aren't here to cause any trouble to my planet, or any planet for that matter... I can't say you are someone I am against having around." he'd continue a bit bluntly, not trying to come off as hostile but rather with an aura of authority about him, he wanted to get off his chest that if anyone was here to cause problems, he wasn't going to stand for it.
"But, going on the assumption that you aren't here to cause trouble... may I ask you what you are doing here? It's not every day I see a new figure on this planet who doesn't have some stories to tell." he thought back to the Supreme Kai once more, what an encounter that had been... he really needed to keep a peace of mind however, he had to worry about the here and now.
The saiyan peacekeeper seemed to be rather curious about her, fine by appearance with her blunt and short response and said he wouldn't stand for her being a troublemaker if she was one. However, the male said he had not seen her out before on this planet, which made her roll her eyes. "I've been here longer than you've been alive I bet, child."
Her snippy response to his words made him wince a bit, but he'd just let out a soft sigh and shake his head, looking back up at her. "I wasn't trying to invalidate your life here. All I meant is I haven't seen you around before, and usually, when that happens, the person has quite the story." he'd just try to make peace of what he meant, staring at the floor for a second to think of what exactly he wanted to say next, woman seemed to have somewhat of an untrusting nature to her, with how she was acting so far, but he wanted to take that with a grain of salt for now, could just be her initial reaction.
"But either way, I hope your time here has served you well then. I've been alive quite a while myself on this planet, I'm no child by Saiyan Standards, though I know there are many races out there that work differently, so I guess I could be but a mere infant you." he'd try to speak a bit formally, he was in no way meaning to reject what she said about him but rather meet at a crossroads between what she said and what he thought. Afterall, some races live till they are thousands of years old and still look to be in their prime, a twenty-seven-year-old would probably look like a toddler to them.
"Well, innocent until proven guilty I guess is what they say. So whether you care to share your purpose or not, it's all fine by me." he'd smile and walk a few paces back with his hands up, trying to show that he had no intention of starting anything with her, should he have upset her with things he had said previously. She seemed quite mysterious, but not in a necessarily bad way. Onato had been mysterious himself at first, and all of that turned out to be quite fine, he'd only be on alert if he knew someone was bad and he had a mission to stop them or found someone bad himself. "Though, I am quite sorry if I am taking up a lot of your time. I am sure you have better stuff to attend to than a random soldier on a spiritual training journey." he'd chuckle lightly, rubbing the back of his head as he realized how absurd it sounded.
Wataya watched him as he winced to her response, before sighing and looking back at her before he explained that the Saiyan had tried not to invalidate her life, apparently interested in her story due to not seeing an Elemi before. The woman wondered if he'd even seen an Elemi before, eyebrows raised under the blue hood covering half of her face; while the mask covered the other.
The conversation continued, with the monkey chattering away about not being a child by his race's standards whilst hoping her time on Sadala had served her well. She hadn't said much, and continued to be silent as she noted the approach of the strange male warrior. "I do suppose I am looking for answers of my own.." Wataya replied quietly, before kneeling back down and re-examining the stone with ancient inscriptions upon it's surface.
The Soldier would blink a few times, the person was certainly remaining quiet through and through. While he himself loved to socialize and be as active as possible in a conversation, it seemed this was the wrong person to take that route with. They seemed reserved, taken to themselves for sure. That wasn't a bad thing in any way in his opinion, however, it was just a change of pace that he would have to relax with. He was curious as to what she was looking at, but he didn't want to entirely butt into her business with a lot of talking once more, he would have to take a different approach.
But even then, she was on her own journey to seek answers, and that was progress in his book. He had no reason to feel threatened by someone who was just on their own spiritual journey of sorts, so he would just walk over and look at the stone that she was examining. He had no clue what it said on it either, so he would just pull out a little datapad from his uniform, holding it towards the stone before taking a quick picture of it, no audible or visual cue of it going off aside from a change on the datapad itself to show that it analyzed what was in the photo and was now stored. He assumed that some more eccentric people would love to see these sorts of photos. He'd move more into the ruins to just look around. "This place must have been a paradise before all of this. What question's are you hoping to get answered by coming here?" he'd turn his gaze back towards the woman, trying his best to be brief and get to the point of his words.
It was rough to hold back his desire to ask all sorts of things and explain more but, all of it was just to kill the time to lead up to the more important questions that he wanted to ask in the first place.
Wataya remained a stony silent as she noticed him take a picture with some sort of strange device, frowning under the facial mask at the fact but saying nothing and not making any indication of her displeasure. The elemi stood up, briefly looking at the Saiyan and shrugging to his question; before heading deeper into the ruins. Where she stepped seemed damp, in a perfect shape of her boot's print.. but there wasn't any water nearby, was there?
Okay so... maybe the Saiyan wasn't getting as much progress as he originally believed, as he was now left with nothing more than a shrug. But hey, that was communication in the slightest even if it was void of any vocal interaction. The Peacekeeper just had to take what he could get, so he'd just chuckle a bit afterward, moving the Datapad back into his uniform as he would stare out into the ruins once more. He would watch the other person move into the ruins with a strange fascination, this person was truly causing no harm, so he had no reason be on guard about them, so all that was left was a sense of mystery about them.
Besides, meeting new people to try and make friends never hurt anyone, even if the other party was a bit on the silent side. He would just cross his arms for now, following her movement with his gaze. For now, the Saiyan decided to keep himself quiet as he didn't want to bother her any further, but it seemed like his time here in the ruins would be more occupied by her than actually spiritually progressing himself. He would nod to himself a little bit as he would just begin to follow her, walking into the ruins close by as he made sure not to step on where her footprints were being formed by the damp soil.
He had no actual explanation for why the soil was damp, to be honest, any number of things could have happened to paint the soil with liquids. Bloodshed, rain, water beneath the ground itself rising to the surface. All of these were possibilities and the number of possibilities further were sort of endless, he would just continue on into the ruins after thinking about it for a moment, taking more of a look around as he would pick up miscellaneous trinkets that were on the ground, looking them over for a bit and at all of their weird engravings. He had no idea if this was old Saiyan culture or just the markings of other species long past. He was far too young and out of the loop of the past to be able to say what exactly these ruins belong to. All he could say for certain was that they had long abandoned this place, be it from war or just progression.
