A gentle breeze blew across the lookout. As two figures landed on the lookout. Tomina touched down, glancing around as she walked towards the buildings as the far end of this… platform? Tomina didn't even know that call this structure. Its very existence was unbelievable: a floating island that was hundreds, maybe even thousands of feet above the planet. That just seemed to be the norm these days though.
“This place still boggles my mind. I wonder if the majority of the Earthlings even know this place exists. Nasu, did you know about this time chamber before today? I’ve never heard of such a room before.”
Tomina turned her head around to look at the person who would be her training partner for one year. It was only natural that she would spend a year in the chamber with Nasu. It just made the most sense for quite a few reasons. Tomina made her way through the lookout and to the door that led to this mystical chamber.
She put her hand on the doorknob, pausing for just a moment before opening it. She walked inside, her footsteps echoing around her. She then froze staring before running forward until she reached the end of solid ground. She put on foot forward tentatively, which came into contact with.. clouds? Somehow she could stand on it. She walked out, her head slowly panning and taking in her surroundings.
“Holy shit…”
She walked out into an endless white void. This whole realm seemed devoid of anything other than the small structure that marked the entrance to the chamber. So this was where she was going to have to spend a year training. This was going to be more challenging then she initially thought.

Nasu had just arrived on Earth and flew straight towards the Timeless Lookout with all of his otherworldly speed and it took him mere seconds to reach it and his training partner was already there, as well as a bunch of other people he didn't really care about. He greeted Tomina with a simple nod of his head and began to make his way towards the place Cornatto had indicated: the door inside the temple area. But before they got in there, Tomina asked if he knew about this place and Nasu stopped, thinking about his answer for a moment. "Yes and no. I knew that every time I attacked they seemed to have increased their power significantly in a way that didn't make sense. At first I thought I was just no good at training, but as it repeated itself I started to notice a pattern. Finally, Cambia told me they had a place where they could train a year in a single day and everything made sense." he said, shrugging after his words and then just proceeded to follow Tomina into the chamber.
Honestly, if Nasu hadn't been dead and everything, he would be completely awestruck and speechless by the chamber. It was completely alien and had no end in it. Everything was just white and empty save for the small chamber they got in to, which had a bathroom, a kitchen, plenty of food and two beds, as if it was designed solely for the purpose of having two people training together. Nasu hmphed as he noticed that and shook his head. "Those bastards... How many times did they use this thing against me. And now I'm using it to help everybody in this universe. Hmph... This world really is a weird one..." he said mostly to himself as he walked into the emptiness before them.
"So..." he started without facing her yet. "Wanna get down to business, or is there anything you want to talk to me about?" he bluntly asked.

"So you did know about it when you attacked Earth. Well considering the circumstances, they probably would have come to the rescue if you had gone to Namek as well. You took a gamble when Caesar made a move against South City. Unfortunately they all decided to leave him be and just go after you. They're lucky he only decided to destroy one city, all things considered. To think that they had a tool like this at their disposal... how the hell are Earthlings still so weak?"
There was a name that made her curious. Cambia wasn't anyone that was in the Kingdom. Yet she seemed to be on good terms with Nasu.
“This Cambia… who is she exactly? Is she a member of the Alliance? You did used to lead it before the schism after all.”
It was an odd feeling, staring out into the void. Not only were her own thoughts whirling around in her head: just staring at this place brought a sense of what the defenders of Earth had experienced coming into here. This was the realm that propelled them onto a level where they could fight the strongest in the universe.
“According to what I was told, you can only use this room twice in a lifetime. I can hazard a guess on how many time each person used it based on their strength and who is using this room for training this time around. This time around, most significant people will be using it a second time. And some individuals won't be able to use it again. I doubt they’d ever let you, me, or Caesar come to this place again.”
A slight smirk appeared on Tomina's lips. The fact that she and Nasu would be able to use the chamber was huge, especially considering that many people were entering the chamber for the final time. This time around they wouldn't be able to gain too much ground against them. There was also one other thing about the situation which Tomina was pleased with.
"Ever since I found out about the existence of this chamber, I've felt a satisfaction from it. You should feel it too. You and I are among the strongest on the team, and we have never used a tool of this degree to get to where we are. Your brother is naturally talented like you, but he's used the chamber twice and you still are miles above him. Caesar used some kind of fusion technique to get to where he is now: his power level increase was too drastic to be of anything else. You and I have climbed up to where we are on our own merits. Everyone else needed two years just to keep pace with us. I have no doubt I would have won against Flare if she had not used this chamber."
Then Nasu asked her if she had anything to say before the chamber again. The smirk faded from her face as she gave it some thought. There was some things that were whirling about in her head. Although they were still piecing themselves together. Right now it was best to just focus on the task at hand.
"There are some things I wish to speak to you about. After learning everything... the state of the Universe, Otherworld, all these Gods... It's completely changed everything. I need time to gather all my thoughts together though. I'll have made up my mind by the time we finish our training here. I have a decision to make later, but for now, it's time for us to train. My mother would kill me if she knew what I was about to do. The fact that I'm going to have to teach you her techniques... the universe is fucking messed up."
Tomina closed her eyes, shaking her head in disbelief. Honestly one unbelievable thing after another kept on popping up. Which in turn resulted in her having to do things she never would have done otherwise. Teaming up with her worst enemies, forcing herself from not taking unnecessary life, and now teaching Nasu family secrets. Tomina crossed her arms, opening her eyes and looking at Nasu.
"I don't want there any chance of us losing. When you're facing the unknown, it's always a good idea to prepare for the worst case scenario, even if it doesn't come to pass. As such, I'm not going to push myself to reach my final transformation in this chamber. I learned something when I was fighting Flare, and transforming once during a battle myself There's an advantage to gaining a transformation in the middle of a confrontation. That being said, I'm going to come after you with everything I currently have. I would tell you to watch yourself since I'm not holding back, but honestly as long as you don't fall asleep you'll be fine."
Tomina powered up into what she called her Full Powered Super Saiyan Crimson 2 form, her hair turning a blazing orange-red hue. Electrical sparks flew out around her as she lunged forward, aiming a chop at Nasu's ribs. It was a very simple attack in what would be their year long training session.

Nasu sighed deeply and closed his eyes for a moment. "Kyabe's intel was precise. The timing was good and I believed they would likely split their forces between us and Jarvis, but no. They decided to leave the fate of their world in the hands of a madman to fight me. Well, if history serves any purpose, I should've known that they would target me in the end, but I guess my mistake was to think there was any sort of rational thinking behind the defenders of this place." and even though his tone was mostly neutral, there were clear traces of bitterness; bothered Nasu that people would paint him as a worse villain than Caesar, but he wouldn't outright say it.
Oddly enough, Tomina seemed interested on Cambia's name. Nasu opened his eyes and arched one of his brows, but decided to answer truthfully regardless. "Cambia is my younger half-sister and as for her allegiance, I honestly can't tell. She is the mother of Athren's son, never really joined the gods of Kikiko, or the Alliance." it was a short explanation, but he didn't see a point in dwelling any longer in this topic. When Tomina mentioned the use of the chamber, Nasu nodded once again. "I don't see us using it ever again as well, but honestly, if you look at individual strength, is not like we really need it. And for instance, I'm glad they won't be able to use this to boost their power again." he sighed deeply, gazing away for a moment. "Flare wouldn't stand a chance against you if it wasn't for this chamber. We are elite warriors who value our saiyan heritage. Honestly, that's the only explanation I can think of to justify our superior strength despite the tools they have been using against us." he added before staring back at her as they got to a more serious, less trivial subject.
When Tomina revealed she was going to teach him Lettis' techniques, Nasu looked surprise for a moment, but then he cracked an odd smirk. "Who would've thought it would come to this. But in the end, I'm not like my father. I honestly never was. Doesn't mean I don't admire him. We just... We never saw things eye to eye." he admitted. The peaceful ideals the Alliance held meant very little to Nasu and even though - for a while - he tried to uphold them, he ultimately failed in follow in the footsteps of his father. His right hand reached his left cheek, touching his scar. "I guess the only real thing I inherited from my father was my looks and this scar I made on myself." and to say that was a bit painful, but also liberating. He couldn't help but to think about the fact that Natto was no more, his very soul had vanished form existence, so he wouldn't taint his memory by saying he did his ideals and beliefs justice.
Tomina correctly pointed out the advantages of using a transformation for the first time and he nodded. "The intense rush of adrenaline can push you beyond your limits. That's a wise yet risky plan. You won't be used to your new form, but you will have a boost in stamina and energy from it. I can't say I don't admire your boldness. And yes, as things currently stand, you can't possibly defeat me unless I allow it." and he wasn't using a humiliating tone, but just stating a fact: Nasu could reach a perfected God Form and, unknown to most of them, push himself further beyond with the Makaioken technique.
As the hybrid transformed, Nasu carefully measured her potential and then he closed his eyes for a moment, tapping into his own power. "For a decent training, I will have to restrict the power of my super saiyan two form to the best of my abilities. I will be stronger, but you will probably be able to keep up." he stated and as he opened his eyes, his aura flared in bright gold.

The bio-electricity ran through his body screeching loudly but more contained than when he was to unleash his full power as a super saiyan 2. And so their training begun. Tomina wasn't holding back and used the powerful tactics of the Vegetean Style. At first she seemed to be gaining the upper hand despite him being stronger. It was almost odd how many times Nasu, in between the exchange of blows, would be hit by the Ribs Breaker technique, but ultimately, after a couple of days worth of training, the purpose behind it was revealed as he threw his own version of the technique at her, learning from watching.

"It was a sound plan. People don't always move how you think they will though. I don't think anyone could have predicted that they would all go after one threat though."
That was all that could really be said about that. It was just a series of unfortunate events for everyone involved in them. There were too many factors that they didn't expect to come into play. Tomina froze, staring at Nasu incredulously as he told her everything about Cambia. Just...
"I have a nephew? Athren had a kid with a daughter of Natto?! Natto had a child by someone else other then Tomoroko?! I... bah! Never mind that now!"
On any other day in another other situation, this would have big one of the biggest shocks of her life. Yet things were so dire that she had to put aside the fact that her half brother had a kid with Nasu's half sister. At least they moved onto something that wasn't completely and utterly shocking for once.
"We do value our heritage. Although in my case I was selectively bred and modified in the incubation chamber as I was developing. My mother hated your father with every fiber of her being. That loss on Earth cost her quite a bit. In a last attempt to regain control of the planets the PTO took from her and to vanquish her enemies, she took measures to develop elite fighters. Having a hybrid child to get specific traits was one of those ways. Despite that though, I'm still nowhere close to you. I suppose it's only natural though. You're the eldest child of two of the strongest Saiyans in history. I wouldn't be surprised if Cornatto picked one or both of your parents to join the tournament."
The next thing that was said made Tomina nod. "I'm not my mother either, despite the fact that she had qualities that I admire. Although many people will no doubt think of me of in the same light as her no doubt. If those people are my enemies then it works to my advantage: the name Lettis carries power even after she died. Athren and I inherited two different things from our mother. As the pure firstborn he was the heir to her entire Empire. I was born to kill the Empire's enemies and to protect the pure line. As such, my mother imparted to me her ultimate technique. You saw it for yourself during our invasion. I had to conserve energy since I was in a fight with many enemies around me, but even then it was enough to overpower Flare's technique."
Tomina rubbed the back of her head when Nasu brought up the risks of her strategy. It was something that she had debated, but ultimately had decided to approach the tournament with that particular strategy.
"That is indeed something I took into account. The thing is with this tournament though is that you're given no time to rest in between fights, and you're not allowed to use healing items. Even though the new form would tire me out greatly, that extra burst of energy is more valuable then training with that form for a year. It'll increase my chances of being able to take out more then one opponent. If worst comes to worst then that burst of energy can be used to finish whoever I fight first."
Tomina simply watched Nasu ascends into his Super Saiyan 2 state. Even this form of his had that much power behind it. It was almost the equivalent of a Super Saiyan 3. That was just how insanely strong he was. Still, he was probably right. She would be able to keep up with him.
A couple of days later, she was in for a surprise when Nasu threw the rib breaker technique right at her. Tomina blocked it with a low block, but there was enough force behind it for her to feel it. She grunted in pain, the vibrations going up along her arm. She gave Nasu a wide grin.
"You threw me for a loop there. I didn't expect for you to pick up a technique from the Vegetean Style. It was hard for to learn that mind resistant technique your father came up with. You're in the same boat that I was now. Alright, lets see if you can learn this one!"
Tomina quickly put both of her hands at her chest, putting them together as she thrust her palms outward. A beam of purple energy flew out towards Nasu at close range. This would certainly test his ability to dodge.

Time was something they had to spare, so in between their sparring sessions, they would casually chat about random stuff. "Okra is an interesting kid. I would like to say he looks more like Athren, but as far as behavior, he is far to young to figure out, though, honestly, he seems more gutsy than my son, as much as it pains me to admit so." he would let she know a little more of her estranged and previously unknown nephew and, in a sense, the rightful heir of the Saiyan Empire. As for Lettis' hatred for Natto, Nasu chuckled and smirked at that remark. "To say that she hated him with every fiber of her being is an understatement. I was there when they fought and I could feel her rage vibrating within my every bone. And her utmost frustration when she was about to be killed." and he didn't say that as a mean to tease Tomina, but just as his view as a witness to that epic battle. "And yes... The Super Galick Gun is a fearsome technique. My father was weary of that during the Alliance-Empire War." he remembered, though Tomina's technique didn't look quite Lettis' own, but maybe Nasu's memory was just hazy, so he just shook his head at that thought.
When she shared the conclusion she reached regarding the use of her new form, he couldn't really argue with that and just smiled at her, admiring the boldness of her choice. "Well, I can only say I wish it works out in the end. Our very existence is on the line. I have a dangerous ace to use myself, but... Who knows. I would rather not to rely on that. At least I've mastered by godly ki and thus I can use an even stronger form for a much longer time!" and this was the first time he was revealing that he had attained yet a new form and that he had finally mastered the ki that transcended that of a mortal.
As he almost hit her with her own technique, she revealed she learned the Strong Will and that made him widen his eyes in surprise. "You learned that technique? I'm surprised. That's a very hard technique to master, but again I shouldn't be shocked you of all people was the one to make it." and that simple sentence was enough to show that, even though they may have some disagreements, Nasu respected her as a warrior, a quite capable one. As they continued to spar through the weeks, she brought it to the next level with the Galick Cannon which at first seemed to hit Nasu head on, but his body vanished from the trail of the beam, only to reappear above her as he quickly mimicked her technique. "Taking a closer look at a technique I've seen a couple times, I will try my luck at it! Galick Cannon!" he roared as he fired the attack against her from a vantage position, wondering how she would react to that.
In any case, the training was being quite rewarding and he could already sense an evolution on both of them. Tomina was impressive in the sense that she was being able to keep it up with Nasu's super saiyan 2 form, and during all that time he didn't have to power down, except when sleeping and eating, showing he had fully mastery over his ki. Another funny thing to be sharing the same living spaces at all times was that Tomina could notice that Nasu didn't seem to really have any urges other than fighting and eating; he would casually bathe and walk naked without a care in the world and seeing the woman in the same state wouldn't change his behavior at all, almost as if he was asexual, which could or could not bring some questions to mind.
On the sparse moments of relaxation where they were able to chat, Nasu would naturally allow himself to grow closer to Tomina by sharing some things about his past. "At some point, while Miso was a prisoner on Planet Natto, I would sit by his cell and be awestruck by the glorious stories of planet conquest. This led me to flee from Natto and spend a year conquering a planet. I was proud and fulfilled once I got back, feeling like a real saiyan warrior. But that wasn't taken in a good light by my parents. That was the first time I actually realized we weren't much alike. I was a wild beast, with a thirst for blood that couldn't really be contained and I knew, deep inside, that it bothered them." his tone was a bit disappointed, almost kind of hurt.

Tomina was surprised by how many things that Nasu and her talked about. Granted since they were stuck in there a year together, she supposed they needed something to do to pass the fight. The things they did talk about weren’t all that she expected for them to be.
“Okra huh? I suppose I’ll have to pay the little tyke a visit after all of this is over. You’re going to have to put your son through a bit of training from the sound of things. Going by the sound of things, it looks like my bloodline might get the better of yours later down the line.”
Tomina chuckled, amused by her own little joke. It was short lived though, as the conversation moved to talking about her mother’s final moments. She looked up towards the sky, a frown spreading across her features.
“She was worried about that fight even before it began, despite the confidence she displayed in the war. Natto had messaged her in one final attempt to stop the war. She continued anyway though, which was something I wholeheartedly agreed with at the time. Perhaps she thought like I did and either thought or hoped that Natto was bluffing about obtaining a new transformation. Her pride wouldn’t let her back down either. She loathed the idea of doing anything Natto suggested. She had nothing but contempt for your father, who was the one who eventually took everything from her.”
Nasu being familiar with the Super Galick Gun wasn’t too surprising to the hybrid Saiyan. It also wasn’t surprising to hear that Nasu had managed to reach another level of power. She closed her eyes, a faint smile appearing on her lips.
“It figures that you would manage to push yourself even further. Death only serves as a motivator. I wonder how much stronger Carva has become. He clawed his way out of hell too, so he’s probably grown more powerful since the last time I’ve seen him.”
Tomina opened her eyes to look at Nasu incredulously as he expressed his surprise in her learning the strong will technique. Really, did he think that it was beyond her capabilities? He should know better by now that she wasn’t the type to give up on anything she wanted.
“Well it was a necessity to learn. That blasted Kai got into my head with a mental attack while we were taking over Brench. And that android Ash attempted to mind control me with a technique of hers. Since that cowardly tactic seems to a thing that fighters these days use, I had to find a answer for it. Unfortunately the only one I could find was the technique that your father created. I hated learning anything made by him of all of people, but not learning it would have continually left me open to mental attacks. I can’t afford to have a weakness like that.”
Tomina was surprised that Nasu was actually picking up many of her own techniques. Did he want to have as many advantages as possible going into the tournament, even if it meant learning moves from the Empire? Tomina was forced to dodge the blast aimed at her, the beam passing through her image, which turned into smoke. He was certainly keeping her on her toes.
Tomina kept pace with Nasu as much as she could, also not exciting her transformed state except when she had to. Nasu didn’t seem to be interested in anything other than training, sleeping, and eating.
He also was rather shameless about showing off his body, often going around naked after taking baths. If he paid attention to her, he would note that Tomina seemed to be unusually self conscious. She made a point of avoiding looking at him for long periods of time when he was naked, and went around with a towel wrapped around her whenever she did have to take a bath. She was glad that Nasu wasn’t trying to make any advances: while at one point it would have been advantageous to get closer to him like that, she now how a mate that she was completely faithful to.
More time passed in the time chamber, and they talked about more things. The stories they told to one another grew of a more personal nature. Nasu was actually opening up about her about things that had happened in his past. She let out a snort when he went over his parents disapproval of his actions.
“Honestly, it was rather hypocritical for them to be so judgemental towards you for doing something that they both once did for a living. They both were Empire Saiyans before they broke off from it, and did those kind of things to other species. It was a case of the pot calling the kettle black.” Tomina almost dropped the subject matter right there. What she was about to tell Nasu didn’t exactly paint her mother in a positive light. In the end she decided to do it. They were having honest conversations and she wanted to keep it that way.
”Your mother and I had a conversation after you obtained your God powers. She ended up calling me a half breed mutt, and went further by saying that my kind were traitors to our race before the Alliance was even formed. So they of all people should have been more understanding towards you, since old habits die hard. Yet from what you’ve told me, they were disappointed that you didn’t start out like a peaceful Saiyan like they hoped you would. They hated the idea of any Saiyan in their Alliance.acting even remotely like a Empire Saiyan. They were probably both hated themselves for what they did in the past.
Tomina had then gone into bits and pieces of her own past. Her life in the Empire, as well as her life went after it. Although like Nasu, the first thing she brought up was how she was raised.
“I didn't have the same problem of disapproval as you did with your parents. If anything I performed above expectations. If there was one thing my mother didn't like it was that I could have been a little more ruthless. And I was once upon a time. The horrible treatment that I received as a hybrid led me to lash out against everyone who tormented me in the worst ways imaginable. And I enjoyed it immensely. If it weren’t for Karen I would have put my mother's cruelty to shame one day.”
A sad smile graced her features as she mentioned that name. This person clearly meant a lot to her. Time moved on within the chamber. their sparring sessions got more and more intense. Tomina lunged forward at Nasu, aiming a punch directly at his chest. It was considerably faster than all the other melee attacks she had used so far. This would hurt if it connected.

Nasu shrugged when Tomina brought up the subject of the succession of the Saiyan Kingdom. "If my son can't become King, that's his own fault. Our race is not about a divine or blood right to rule, but a rightful ruler of the Saiyan race comes from his own merit and power." and that was another point of view that Nasu was sharing with her. His claim to the throne of the Kingdom he made was due to his beliefs and efforts. Even when he took back the sit of Overseer of the Alliance from Etorin, he did so by fighting and killing him. He didn't really replied to what she said about Lettis as he felt there was nothing he could really add at that moment, but it was interesting to understand - from the other point of view - as to why she chose to fight even though his father had warned her about his power and tried to avoid going to war in the end.
When she mentioned Carva though, he folded his arms and cracked a grin. "I fought Carva before coming here and I must say he improved quite significantly. Not only in power, but he seems to have learned how to fight with more finesse." he briefly mentioned, remembering their fight in Namek. "He improved so much we actually recruited him to fight in the Tournament of Power." he revealed, but that was pretty much the end of the Carva subject, at least from Nasu. When she mentioned the reason she learned his technique, he merely said that it was "fair" and didn't dwell too much in that topic as it wasn't really important.
What was funny to notice though was that Tomina was quite self-aware and would avoid being seen naked at all times, which he found quite curious as saiyans were quite used to be naked all around the place, be it because they were inside a healing tank and had to walk to another room to grab his armor and everything. At one point, he had to make a comment. "It's funny. You behave like an earthling in your daily routine." he said, chuckling lightly and just so that she wouldn't really misunderstand him, he would point at the towel and chuckle again. "It's not like I would care about seeing you naked or anything, but I found it rather amusing that a saiyan would be mindful of those things. Heh." and funny enough, his chuckle sounded a bit like Miso.
At another opportunity, she talked about his parents again and he felt like he had to demystify a little bit about them. "My parents wanted peace, but they wanted that because they were sick of seeing their saiyan comrades dying over and over again because of Lettis' never ending thirst of war. My parents weren't really that peaceful. My mother was quite the beast and she had plenty of rage inside her heart. Sometimes she would lose her mind and just go berserk. On top of that she didn't quite like hybrids. My father loved fighting despite the fact that he didn't like killing. But my father, while he liked hybrids without an ounce of prejudice, he hated most of the other races. They weren't the righteous figures people paint them as." and his tone was quite sincere, showing his true view regarding his parents.
The two continued to train hard and Tomina actually surprised him with the Final Blow technique, hitting him hard on the chest and knocking the wind out of his body, but in the couple days that followed that event he would attempt to get back at her and hit with the technique himself, so he could show that he mastered yet another technique of the style.

“Whether or not he earns the right to rule is up to him. Being the relative of a notable person only gets you so far. You have to make your own way.”
Nasu wasn’t going easy on anyone, not even his own kid. Tomina's eyes widened as Nasu informed her that he was a member of the tournament of power. The Saiyan hybrid let out a low whistle.
“Are you serious? Damn! Hell is rather underwhelming from the sound of things. It seems to be just another place to train if you're a Saiyan. He got himself in as one of the team members… I didn't see that one coming.”
With that, most of the spots for the tournament were now filled. There were only two spots that she was unsure as to who would fill them. Still, Carva improving by that much in such a short period of time… who knew?
Tomina had scoffed when Nasu brought up conservative she was behaving in terms of her choice in covering up. She bristled at the very idea of being compared to an Earthling.
“This isn’t part of my normal routine. I normally don't mind walking around without clothes. There's a reason why I’m covering myself up for a year."
Tomina wasn't any more specific than that. Clearly there was something that possessing her to act this way. She wouldn't divulge what it was though. Regardless, it was clear that this was going to be her routine within the time chamber for the next year.
Tomina never thought she would hear someone close to Tomoroko and Natto admit that they weren’t all that they were built up to be. It was really strange hearing this admission from one of their kids of all things though. While that was refreshing for once, it also brought up sour feelings. Tomina’s face darkened the more he went on about them.
“That’s not how the Alliance feels. “Oh, we must stop the Empire because it’s wrong to enslave other species! They’re evil!” It was the same story that has happened time again. One group attacks another, and must fight for survival. The war wasn’t motivated by altruism at any point: we hated each other, it was as simple as that.”
Tomina clenched her fist, embers flying off her hair as the temperature around her rose. While she was keeping it fairly in control, there was no mistaking the anger she felt in that moment. Oh how she loathed these so called “heros.”
"Yet that’s what the Alliance built it up to be. A heroic force fighting to defeat the tyrannical Empire. They stood up on a high horse and proclaimed that we were evil while they were, or had done similar things to what we had done. I hate these so called heros who judge others for doing evil things, when they aren't much better themselves.”
Tomina grit her teeth as she thought back to the battle at the Tree of Might. So many people had shown up to defend the planet. She had gotten one of the more insufferable ones as her opponent.
“Flare went on and on about how she was going to knock sense into me and how she was defending the planet. Yet I sensed where she was before she showed up to stop us. She had fled Caesar to confront us, and left her comrades fighting a foe they could not defeat. She reached a new transformation in a rage over what happened to them. I was just an afterthought at point. If she truly was a hero, she would have stayed with her comrades and defended that city, even if it mean fighting against Caesar.”
Their intense training continued onward. Tomina let in a sharp intake of breath as Nasu’s punch hit her, sending her sliding back about 10 feet. She clutched her stomach, giving the Saiyan a smirk.
“You’re quite the natural at this. Then again, this should be expected coming from you. This next technique is something I’m going to have to teach you directly though. You will have to tap into your Saiyan Pride and press onward despite the pain you're about to receive. Infernal Flash!”
A blue and black aura surrounded Tomina, the temperature around her spiking up to an enormous degree in the area around her. If Nasu was still in the radius of this attack, he would feel as though he was burning up. Tomina was also producing smoke that would make it hard to breath. Nasu was going to be put through a lot before the year was up.

To say Hell was a training ground to some blessed (or cursed, depending on the point of view) souls wasn't far from the truth; most of the accomplished warriors - good or bad - Nasu knew were in the afterlife got some sort of training, but he didn't add to Tomina's comments, but rather just chuckled when he realized her frustration. He also just shrugged as she dodged his inquire regarding her seemingly unnatural will to cover herself from his uninterested eyes; maybe it had something to do with her lack of tail or something regarding that as he did remember she tied Hakobe's ripped tail around her waist, but if that was the case, then she would've probably noticed that Nasu only had a brown spot where he tail used to be which was now far too cauterized to allow him to ever sprout it again naturally. But he didn't care about it anymore.
When the Alliance subject was brought to light again, Tomina correctly pointed out that the views of the Alliance weren't really aligned with the truth and thus he nodded slowly, sighing deeply. "People idealize things they don't understand. And whenever they seek for justification, they tend to paint it in the holiest way possible." he paused for a moment. "And it's fair to say that my father and my mother hated Lettis, but they didn't hate the Empire. No. As a matter of fact, if it was up to them, they wouldn't bother with it. But the Empire couldn't swallow his betrayal and I can't even count how many times we had to deal with attacking squads either on Planet Natto or in our outposts." and one of these attacks was led by Miso and Koko themselves, back when the first was made prisoner and the second escaped back to Vegeta.
"The honest reason as to why they liberated the slaves was because they were just there, plain and simple. My father had nothing but mistrust for aliens, but he decided it wouldn't hurt to help them out since the war was over. It came back to bite him in the ass and I learned my lesson that day. But put this thing in your head: The Alliance was never about helping anyone but saiyans who were tired of the Empire's way. They didn't care for peace if it didn't involve saiyans' peace." and with those words, Nasu was burying the very idea of an heroic Alliance, and who better than him to reveal such truth. "If Lettis had accepted the existence of it, she would probably still be alive today." he finished by saying that before getting back to training.
Nasu wasn't surprise at all with what Tomina said about Flare. "If it wasn't because of this chamber, Flare wouldn't be worth noticing. She was always a weakling and a coward and never deserved a spotlight. She blasted my head while I was torn in half, already dying from my clash against that fusion. What glory is there for attacking a dead man? As a warrior, I see none. If I had to guess, she fled the fight with Caesar because she was afraid he would kill her too. She went to the place it was safer, where the "heroes" had the numbers. If I can respect anyone of them, I would say the bastard Jie Shan and the other random earthling boy were more of a warrior than all of those cowards together." and even though Nasu didn't know Galen's name, it was the second time he saw the powerless earthling fighting against all odds and that deserved recognition and respect.
But one thing worth noticing was that the saiyans of the Empire had an incredible resistance to pain and that was what Tomina was teaching him now. Over the course of the following days, she burned him over and over again. While at first he was feeling an excruciating pain, with time it was being reduced until he was no longer even fazed by her burning flames. When he reached that point amidst a sparring session, he cracked a cocky grin.
"Guess your flames have grown cold, Tomina. Or you are indeed some accomplished teacher, because I no longer feel any pain." he remarked, chuckling lightly.

Tomina was surprised that she was having a philosophical conversation about the Alliance and the specifics revolving arouns their beliefs with Nasu. She knew that he was far from stupid. To think that he thought about things in this way was interesting to say the very least.
"We all do paint our goals in as best of a light as we possibly can. Our justifications, our reasons for doing things, our views are always the most important. If someone with opposing beliefs get in the way, then you condemn them. The beliefs that matter the most are the ones belonging to the strongest individuals"
Tomina couldn’t help but agree with what Nasu said about Lettis and the Empire in general. If she had swallowed her pride on that one issue, she could have ruled over everything besides Natto eventually. She couldn't let go of that hatred though.
"I've known since the beginning that the Alliance wasn't the charitable organization that many people made it out to be. My mother had too much pride to let things go. The loss on Earth, the existance of Saiyans who defied her rule, she loathed them all for that. I don't know why Natto bothered sending Lettis that message when he knew how she was likely going to take it. If he truly wanted to save Saiyan lives, he would have fled out of the galaxy entirely. No proper Saiyan would do that though."
Tomina looked viable annoyed when Nasu mentioned how Natto died. She still couldn't believe that the person who defeated her mother had met his end in one of the most pathetic ways possible. It infuriated her just thinking about it.
"He didn't even trust other species, and yet he still let his guard down enough for it to be taken advantage of. The bastard destroyed my world and then died before I could exact vengence. Tch, maybe I can take a crack at him in the afterlife some day."
Tomina figured that with all the training she was receiving and how quickly she was progressing, she would surpass Natto's strength in no time. Tomina still couldn't believe how strong her aunt had managed to get as far as she had. Even with this chamber, she had pushed her body to rediculous strength. Mentally on the other hand...
"She truly is weak. She's nothing but a mass of power lashing angrily out at her foes. She's a coward who can't even protect what matters to her, while still wanting to be strong. Going out of way to disfigured your corpse... Some hero she turned out to be."
While her loss to Flare wasn't the worst defeat she had suffered, it was still the most painful loss she went through since the Alliance Empire ear. Tomina had the upper hand, yet lost in an instant when that Elemi transformed against her.
What made it even worse was that she wasn't the one that pushed her to that new form: Caesar’s actions were the cause of her explosive fury. Tomina had once again got shoved aside. No matter how strong she became, there was someone just that much stronger then her. Tomina had vowed to train harder then ever once she regained conciousness. She knew of a power that Elemi didn't know about. She would obtain it and surpass her, like everyone else she had overtook.
The hybrid did have to admit that those who had remained to fight Caesar were brave warriors worthy of respect. Even as his already enormous power grew to monstrous proportions before them, they had held their ground. And both of them were weaker then the Elemi.
"I wonder if their effort ever amounted to anything. Did they buy enough time for at least some people to escape from the city? After standing their ground against Caesar despite being left for dead, it would be such a shame of they got nothing out of it. That's just inevitable when defending your territory though: no matter how hard you try, you can't save everyone."
Tomina took a bit of satisfaction in causing Nadu pain. A part of her enjoyed having this much power over the strongest in the universe. She probably enjoyed it a little too much though. Especially considering that he looked just like Natto. Soon he picked up the technique though, causing her to give him a grin.
"So you've finally done it! Now you can shrug off more attacks. Keep in mind that you'll still take damage even if you aren't effected by paralysis. Also there are still some types of techniques that can stun you. This technique only lets you shrug off the ones that hurt."
On and on they trained. Both of them were so strong that it would look like an intense, never ending battle for the casual observer.
Tomina decided to dish out a particularly nasty combo on Nasu. She lunged forward, throwing her fist in an uppercut aimed to get him off the ground. Then she would throw a high kick to send him flying into the air. After that, she would fly up to him in a flash, driving her foot into his stomach before elbowing him back toward the ground. If this connected, even the King of all Saiyans would feel this one.

”Pride is both our strength and our weakness. My father, on top of pride, has some naivety and he sent that message honestly believing he could crush her spirit so she would let it go. He didn’t want to go to war against saiyans, as a matter of fact, he disliked the whole concept of taking saiyan’s lives. But considering just how much attacks we were suffering from the Empire forces, he felt like we had no other option.” Nasu further explained before hearing she speak a bit more about that subject, now talking about how the strongest man of his time died in a stupid way. Nasu gazed away in clear annoyance – not at Tomina, but at the very memory of how his father met his end – especially when she mentioned wanting a chance of taking revenge against him. Nasu’s expression became quite serious and he closed his eyes, taking a very deep breathe.
”You can’t. He is gone. He destroyed his very soul trying to come back to the world of the living. He did that because he was concerned about me and my siblings. He was naïve until the very end. But ultimately, he cared about his family and friends above his own life.” and Nasu opened his eyes again, staring back at Tomina. His eyes carried an intense fiery determination and truth. ”And as much as I disagree with many of his views, I believe the reason the Alliance won against the Empire was because of the strength of those bonds! He was right about that. Lettis had people following her by mostly fear. My father had followers out of admiration and trust.” and it was clearly which of those views Nasu favored; he wanted to be feared by his enemies, but he wanted admiration, respect and trust from his followers.
Thankfully the subject changed to the Tree of Might event and how twisted the heroes ultimately were and he agreed with that. ”It’s easy to sound righteous with words, but not as easy to behave that way. War destroys most heroes.” he simply stated in the middle of a furious exchange of blows. As for the heroes fighting Caesar, Nasu shook his head. ”In the end they failed. The number of souls in the afterlife by the time I was at the Check-In Station surpassed the million. And that burden is extended to all of those who chose to fight us instead. Those deaths are accountable to their lack of judgment and cowardice.” and even though he had no sympathy towards earthlings, that was the view from a King’s perspective.
There’s no greatest failure than to fail your own people.
As he mastered the technique, he chuckled. ”The damage is there and there’s nothing that can be done about it, but the Wolf School taught me how to nullify those tricky effects, so I have nothing to be afraid of. Hehehehe.” and it was true: the Wolf School technique allowed a warrior to nullify most effects applied to normal techniques and Nasu had that covered.
Their training continued to grow even more intense as the tier of the techniques being used were now strong enough to kill most of the living warriors of this universe in one hit, but those two were far beyond the norm and they could take it. Their resting time between the sparring sessions increased from mere hours to even a couple of days, but they kept on pushing themselves as much as their bodies could possibly withstand and even though Nasu was taken out of commission for a few days by the Spirit Breaking Cannon, he would return the favor as soon as he got back to his fighting condition and possibly throw Tomina out of the picture for the same spam of time.
The intensity of the training was absurd, but they were saiyans. They laughed at the risk and their bodies rewarded them intensely by their constant near death experiences, even though Nasu’s body already had enough so his reward wasn’t nearly as impressive as Tomina’s.

Tomina snorted, rolling her eyes at Natto's reasoning behind his attempt on making Lettis surrender. If he honestly believed Lettis would submit after years of working under her, then he was out of touch with reality before the war even began.
"That exactly what Flare kept on telling me. She wanted to knock some sense into me until I was forced to accept that I was one. A true Saiyan would never give up on their beliefs so easily. Our spirits ar not so easily shattered. Your father and Flare both were naive thinking otherwise. Just as it was naive for Natto to thinK that he could coexist in the same Galaxy my mother and her Empire resided in. His only two options were to flee or fight. He choose the blood soaked path, as any Saiyan would."
Tomina stared in disbelief as Nasu told her that Natto no longer existed. The way he was acting... he had to be telling the truth. Natto was no more.
"Carva could cross over without wiping himself out from existence, but the great Natto couldn't? Damn him... he took everything from me and denied me the chance of ever fighting him."
Tomina slowly walked away, punching one of the support pillars to the structure when she got there. Fortunately she was in her base form, so all it did was create a dent and spread cracks throughout it. That bastard! Why couldn't he had just waited? Everything he did only made things worst for those around him.
Even his own family ended up suffering for his mistakes. Not that she cared about that, but he had denied everyone so much by wiping himself from existance. He could have even helped them in the tournament of power, as bile inducing as that was.
When Nasu mentioned why he thought Lettis lost, Tomina turned and looked at him coldly. That was one thing she was never going to admit, even if it was proven to be true. She would never awknowledge that his philosophy was right.
"The Empire's fall had nothing to do with how the culture was with the Alliance's views. Battles are won through the strength of your forces, the techniques at your disposal, the strategies you come up with, the tactics that you use on the field, how quickly you can make adaptations... there are many factors to a battle to take into consideration. The fact that my side loss simply means that your side exceeded us in more of these fields. My mother got too complacent and the Alliance overtook her."
Tomina looked down at her gloved hand, turning it so that it was facing palm up. There was a strange emptiness in Tomina’s eyes. They were just transparent windows that showed nothing but bitter emptiness.
"Trust... bonds... they're such fragile things. One form bonds with people who prove to be true friends, in a universe filled with those who wish to do them harm and kill them, they become one's solstice. In time, the bonds you form lead you to trust them."
A silence filled the void then. The emptiness of the space they were in became empathized by the hybrid. Now she turned her other hand up as well. She was staring at nothing but the air, but the way she was staring at them made it look like she was looking at something that only she could see.
"Death is always a risk that one has to be prepared for. That isn't the worst thing that can happen though. One may have to kill their former comrades one day. Whether it’s due to diviating points of ideology or for other reasons, allies can turn into your enemies. They watch as people they grew up with kill others important to them. Then they’re forced to kill their own allies. The trust they had in them, the bonds they shared with those people, and the memories of the times they spent with one another become as mangled as the corpses of their former comrades."
Tomina lowered her hand to her sides and looked up at Nasu. She looked completely haunted. Perhaps she had been looking at a ghost earlier when she was looking down in her hands. Silence once again dominated the white void. Slowly life returned to Tomina, the hollowness in her eyes fading away.
“Your Spirit of the Saiyans technique makes you put too much faith in bonds. They can shatter apart in an instant. So you should only form them with the people you trust the most. The ones who accept you for who you are and stick by you no matter what. There have only been two people in my life who have done that. If they can't accept who you are, then your bonds will shatter. Just like they did with your brother and those who followed him.”
There was a bit of irony in the fact that a repeat of the splitting of the Saiyans occurred due to both of Natto's sons having different viewpoints. While it hadn't lead to as much destruction ass the last one, Nasu breaking off from the Alliance had resulted in bonds being shattered. There were likely some on both sides that cared for people on the other. But the paths they took diverged, which meant that they might have to fight their former allies someday.
“I made vows after the war. One of which was to rely on my own power to accomplish my goals. I won't form bonds the way you have. The only bonds I need are the ones that belong to the two people I trust the most. I won't rely on bonds to give me victory in a fight though. My power, my tactics, my own skills will carry me. I have no use for fragile bonds.”
Tomina had walked away after that. She didn’t say anything for a week after that. She kept on training with Nasu, but it seemed like she wasn't fully there for a bit. When she did decide to talk with Nasu again, they further discussed the events surrounding the Tree of Might. Tomina was far from surprised to learn that the two brave heroes had failed utterly. Earthlings couldn't even get 500 miles away if you gave them 10 minutes.
“It’s not uncommon for one's hard work and efforts to be in vain. Most pure hearted people either end up dead or are beaten down by the cruelties of the universe. I don't understand how people can live like that. Dedicating your life to protecting people you don't know must be soul crushing, since you can't protect everyone. It only brings more misery to them.”
Tomina returned Nasu’s smirk when he brought up one of his Wolf school techniques. She had to give it to him: he was impressively covered.
“Just don't get complacent about things. Someone might have a technique that can circumvent your protections, as unlikely as that may seem.”
Time blended together as Nasu and Tomina continued their training. Tomina’s sense on how long they had been in the chamber became all muddled. She did know that it had taken a while to make up her mind about an important matter. She approached Nasu one day with a very specific training regiment in mind.
“I’ve decided that I’m going to teach you how to use the Super Galick Gun. My mother would be spinning in her grave if she knew I was passing our signature tech to one of Natto's kids, but I’m much more concerned with the survival of our universe. Still, I’m going to bust a vein if I see a bunch of Saiyans running around using this technique, so keep it to yourself.”
Tomina was going to be very adamant about that point, even though she was talking to the strongest Saiyan in existence. She put both of her hands together, preparing to fire the technique.
“I prefer being hands on in my training, so I’m going to show you firsthand what this technique can do. I’m going to fire the technique at you in its weakest form. I want you to dodge it, and dodge it only. Ready…. SUPER GALICK GUN!”
Tomina cusped both of her hands together, firing out a magenta colored beam with blue energy surrounding it. If Nadu did dodge the main beam, the resulting explosion would send the blue energy flying out in all directions. Even if he avoided the main attack, there was no avoiding this part of the technique. The only silver lining was that Tomina hadn’t charged up the technique, so it wasn't as powerful as it could have been.

Nasu knew all too well that his father was naive. As a matter of fact it was the said naivety that got him killed in the first place, so there was no denying on what Tomina argued, but he chose not to comment on that anyway. However, when she mentioned that the reliance upon the bonds of family and friendship could be some sort of weakness, Nasu was visibly irritated and frowned his brows, going as far as to discretely grit his teeth. "While it is true that some bonds may shatter, some bonds are solid as the very foundations of this universe. Shutting yourself off out of trepidation they may break is nothing but cowardice. Not only cowardice, weakness even." his tone was harsh, but he wasn't saying that only to be mean, he truly believed the words he said and, if he had to be fair, they were the main reason Nasu had become so strong and because of that, he added something to his words. "That's the reason my father was so strong. He was naive and died like a fool, I can't deny that, but he was the strongest of his time. No... From the way he passed away, he was still stronger than me today, with all the godly power I managed to acquire." he added, closing his eyes for a moment as he tried to picture how much power one could achieve by using the Super Saiyan 3 and Kaioken times one hundred at the same time. From his rough estimation, Nasu pictured Natto being able to reach a power level twice as high as his while using his strongest form and the Makaioken. "And I am the strongest of this generation. How much of a coincidence can it be that the two strongest were people who relied on bonds? Moreover, even the ritual to achieve godhood require that the one undertaking it has enough people willing to share their power even if just briefly." he added that to his argument.
Obviously this discussion was hard on both of them, causing the duo to spend sometime without actually talking to one another. Even though they respected each other, they were fundamentally different in important aspects of their lives. Their creed diverged substantially in crucial areas and it was already quite a feat that they were on the same faction, let alone being able to live together for such a long time, without any time away from one another. One week without speaking was nothing other than an impressive short spam of time for such a conflict to be diluted.
When they got back to speaking, though, they briefly discussed Nasu's techniques and how protect he was and when she told him not to get complacent, he chuckled, cracking a conceited grin. "Hard not to get complacent when you have reached my level, but If I was a cocky dumbass I wouldn't be training this hard, would I?" he pointed out as they kept on clashing against each other to such extreme levels that it was nothing short of extraordinary that they were both still alive and in one piece. At one point, though, Tomina surprised Nasu by proposing to teach him Lettis' secret weapon, the Super Galick Gun. He arched both his brows in disbelief. "Really?" he asked; while it was true he was doing his best to copy the techniques from the Vegetean fighting style, he never thought he would be also learning their ace and that was some welcomed news.
Obviously she set some conditions and he just nodded to that. "Don't worry about that. I never even taught Karota's style to anyone. If you want to teach people the technique, that's up to you. But I won't go behind your back and share what is yours. You should know me better than that by now. I give you my word, and to be honest, my word is worth more than anyone else's word, experience has told me." he shrugged, mildly annoyed by the fact that himself, one who was constantly painted as a cruel villain, was far more honest and honorable than most of the so called heroes.
Tomina told him to dodge the technique and Nasu chuckled, getting ready. "That's easy enough! Heh!" and then, as she fired it, he vanished from sight in order to avoid the technique, but against all odds, even though he was supposed to have dodged the blast, he was still injured by it. Nasu widen his eyes in complete shock and noticed the bleeding on his forehead and as he touched his right brow he could sense a new scar across his face, coming from his right forehead all the way down to his right cheekbone. He stared back at her, both surprised and angry he was hit and since he was completely confident he would've escaped, he lowered his guard and ki, so he was more injured than he would be if he was focused on blocking the technique.
"What the hell happened?! I was sure I dodged it fast enough!!" his tone demanded answers, but he wasn't angry enough he would lose it; he was far more curious and interested in what this technique actually did because this could indeed be an interesting asset under his arsenal.

I've formed bonds with people I know for sure won't turn on me. That is a fever short list though. You may have had your brother turn on you, so you can understand this a bit. When you are in a fight against your own race, former comrades you would have thrown away your life form, there is no victory to be had."
It was hard to tell where her anger was being directed. Was it at Nasu himself? Was it at Natto's philosophy? Or was there something more to her anger here?
"You either die or become drenched in the blood of your former comrades. You will never know the despair of that: Your allies dying around you, some by your own hand. And then the battle ends and you're left with nothing but despair. Everything was for naught that day. I slew my own comrades and had nothing to show for it. Nothing except the bitter emptiness and the realization of just how monstrous I was. Only a monster would kill people they cared about, only for.it to amount to nothing in the end."
Tomina took a deep breath, turning and walking away. She only had one last thing to day to Nasu regarding this matter. Her voice had returned to normal at least.
"You have no right to call me a coward when you've never been through that before. It's a pain far worst then just losing loved ones. It's a pain you'll never understand: your comrades won't turn on you at this point and you're the strongest in the universe. You can protect anyone you want to. On that day though, I could only revelike in my own powerlessness. I was strong, but not strong enough."
Tomina had froze when Nasu gave example of the strengths of bonds. It frustrated Tomina to no end, but he had a point. At least with the afterlife it was easy for her to modify her beliefs to fit the truth. This on the other hand... Tomina kept her back to Nasu as she gave him her response.
"Bonds have their strengths and their uses. Aside from obtaining that God form one day, it's not something that I will be able to utilize. It isn't how I am. I'll make my own way with my own power."
Thankfully the rest of their training wasn't as heavy as that particular discussion. It had taken some time, but she managed to get on good terms with Nasu again. Tomina let out a small chuckle then he brought up his training with her.
"Well, at least you've been training hard, that much is true. One out of two is better then missing the mark entirely."
Tomina had gone on for a long time without cracking some type of joke. It was a surprising amount of restraint for her. Tomina didn't doubt that he meant it when he said he would keep the technique to himself.
"You and I both keep our word on promises. I recently made an oath with my now mate. I don't intend on breaking any of the vows I made with him. Well now that we've got that cleared up, it's time to teach you the technique."
Tomina didn't expect for Nasu to be caught off guard the way that she had. She had even managed to give him a scar. It wasn't in an actual combat scenario, but she still was probably one of the few people who had laid a mark on him like that.
"Well, you dodged it, and yet you didn't dodge it. I spent years modifying the technique. I knew that if I was to stand a chance.against Natto, I would have to make my trump card even stronger. He was able to deal with it in the battle with my mother. So I worked on pouring more power into it. However half a year later, I ran into a little snag."
Tomina held out her hand, holding up all five fingers. It looked as though she was about to fire an energy blast, although that clearly wasn't her intent given the lack of ki in her palm.
"5 times. Putting energy worth 5 times your power level into an attack is the absolute threshold without a technique like Spirit of the Saiyans. At that point you're risking your own life with energy deprevation. I learned that the hard way when I lost conciousness firing a full power blast beyond that threshold. The further you go beyond that threshold, the more likely you'll die. So I had to limit the techniques power to just below 500% at max, and had to find another way to increase the destructive capabilities."
Tomina pointed at the scar on Nasu's face. He had experienced first hand the true power of the technique. It was time they she explained it to him.
"So I added a bit of extra energy along the edges of the beam. It isn't nearly as taxing as increasing the overall attack of the beam. The moment the attack explodes, it sends out the energy surrounding the beam out in all directions. It's actually much faster then the main beam, and will hit someone even if they they dodge the main attack. However, while it's strength increases proportionally to the stength of the main beam, it still only hits with a fraction of the power."
Tomina lowered her hand to her side, preparing to go into the nitty gritty of things. She never thought that she would be in this position. Some things were more important then pride and family tradition though.
"The idea was to trick your father into thinking that it was the original technique and hit him with the aura beam. That will never come to pass now though. I want you to begin charging up a Galick Gun. You're going to have to start slower and then build into it. Use one core emotion as your vocal point and surround it with other strong emotions. Pour absolutely everything into it."
Tomina watched, waiting to see how quickly he would pick up on it. It had taken her years to properly get it down. Although designing a technique was harder then teaching an existing one. And Nasu was a fast learner, so she was sure he could get it down relatively quickly.
