The simple clicks of monitors and computer screens were the only thing filling the empty halls of the Jefferson manor. A dim, eerie glow from the red skies pierced through the curtains as dusk's rays. The several individuals huddled around the lobby area knew just about what was happening. And despite their efforts in the background, they were of little assistance. Truth be told, half of them would be killed just being looked at out there. The other was too old and the other too nervous. It took the robot some convincing to not just go out on its own. It, too, was to be a suicide.
"I think this is about all we can manage to record while staying here. Dad and his peers will maybe find it useful, if only to know the fine details behind this attack."
To think, of all places, HOME... the large citadel in space, home to the HWRE, was safest that even the heralded Earth. Vitalerra was hard at work with a few other nerdy elemi, scrounging around with the power of tech to keep an eye on all this. They were all sharing cups of tea, being served by none other than Auntie herself. Seeing as her house servants have been laid off months prior during the great tree of might attack on the planet, she only had a dozen or so aliens in her home now.
"Then you're almost ready to head off? Good, I was starting to fear you'd get too bold. Unbecoming of your, dear."
She wasn't blood, but hey. The old woman looked out for relatives from across alien lines. And she was right, the usually timid and nervous Vitalerra was being awfully bold staying back for so long. The group here weren't so keen on staying by most their looks, a bulkier one constantly checking out the window just to see the darkness enveloping the earth. THIS was doomsday. The Earth made crackles and rustled under its crust as it made death roes. The power was far too much for the planet. And a frail looking Bijou who looked queezy and had to step out towards the ship to feel at ease.
"Yes, I... mmmh, I can't believe it. While everyone was away, they sent the swarms of their strong henchmen. It seemed too unreal to have something actually strategic happen here in this hour."
She'd reminiscence, a few of her peers talking among themselves as well while she took a sip and turned in her seat to face the elder. Just now, their robot companion returned with a sour look stuck upon her face. It felt like it could have helped. That it could have saved the place from its peril. But, alas, a certain young flame had told her otherwise. Backed up by Auntie's intentions, the three looked between each other then stared outside to some large pane windows.
"I wish this could have been any other way. I'm sorry. I've been told we, our kind, know too how this feels. You seemed to take a good deal of pride in your planet and people."
Jax rustled a bit in place and shook her head as Auntie shifted on her feet and turned away from the windows. Stepping up some of the stairs to the second floor from the lobby. About half way up the straight shot stairs she'd glance on back to the few in the lobby.
"Jax, Vitalerra, everyone. The ships's all ready, but its not the only thing you're fixin' to take. You see, this'n a place I designed to carry out, in the most dire of situations. I've moved it a few times and hid it like that, actually... Think I misaligned a few feet from its original spot once when Jackie was dealing with an older beast. Bah, this place is a part of me. I'll die with it in my possession.I don't know how much longer we got, but I suggest your lot go ahead and fire up the engines. I'll be out there shortly."
She'd admit to being able to capsulize the entire place, and shoo them off. A few of them are starting to pack, and she continues to hear them do so as she turned again and walked up stairs to the second story halls. Most the living quarters were up here. And... well, Flare's room.
It was how she left it a while back. Before she left for her 'dreams'. Jackie took a look over the photos, the self portrait of hem with Mike, and her adoptee parents who originally owned the place. Oh, how messed up this all turned out. The note she left, still burning hot with Flare's make to it... She'd pocket it and a few other trinkets from her room before moving to her own room to collect a few things. Rummaging through her jewelry drawer to pull out a ring... Silver lined, golden engraved. It was HIS ring she got a long time ago... If that old fool hadn't messed with Flare in the first place, most of this would't have to happen. She could feel that.
"Damn fool..."
Most the others had filed their ways out of the mansion and were eventually met again by the old woman in her long coat and a few possessions in her baggie. Winds were starting to pick up, the flames of the mansion giving howls as they're pushed around like the trees leaves and bushes branches. By now a lot of them were inside the elemi's ship, save for Vitalerra and Jax who accompanied Auntie as she turned to face the mansion one last time. It was time for the last trick of their home. One last time to move the mansion. Granny took out a large capsule, the side of her palm entirely, and clicked it. Out of protest the wood, grain, and fire made entities that now constructed the manor warped and twisted until it started shrinking and lunged towards the insulation of the capsule. It left the front garden, fences, and foundation in its wake, the latter covered with some convincing looking ground that looks to just be a concrete area. The manor looked more like a park without the mansion.
"I'm sure I'll get something out of this eventually. For now, we go."
Jax would be the first to take the order and turn to enter the ship through its ramp. Vitalerra patted the old woman and followed suit shorts before she herself took a final gander at her former home. Where were they going? By the looks of the control panel it wasn't just back to HOME... Namek? Vitalerra blinked as she looked across her scanners and was only accompanied by the old lady pushing b a few of the crewmen to get to her.
"If you're wondering, I do have people on Namek that would appreciate my help. Besides, Ragnarok is-"
"There. Yes, I know. Our job isn't done yet. I've just got to relay what we've recorded and head out. Though I'm sure some of my peers would rather go home at this point. Hopefully, my aunt's still alive and well in that tournament she said she was going to off planet."
Right.
