Appearance:
Arlians are all insect-like humanoids with big eyes, an exo-skeleton and antennae. They are, however, a race with sexual dimorphims: males and females have clear differences: being the males look more like beetles bulkier, with a large carapace on their backs, a bigger mouth and more cold colors, some may also develop horns, while the females look more like moths, with fluffy furs, wings (can't use for flight however), slim bodies and vibrant colors.
Background:
It's said that the Arlian race evolved from a dangerous insectoid from the planet Arlia where they were top predators. When they evolved into the Arlian race they created a peaceful kingdom much like the middle age of Earth and it's people thrived on it, until a tyrant took the throne, making many Arlians escape the planet. Luckily, that was for the best, as their planet was destroyed by a unknown force.
After looking for a new home the survivors reach at a moon near the planet Kanassa, becoming allies of the Trade planet Organization, providing services as sell-swords and food and silk merchants, this later being a specialty of the race.
Unique Characteristics:
Artisan Traders - Arlians are specialists on the harvest (their own body produce) and manufacturing of silk. They learned soon after joining the TPO that their silk could become a valuable trading good and began to sell it or use it as a bargain. Arlians have a 10% discount on shopping threads.
Male:
Hard-Shell - Arlian males have a bulkier body, with more reinforced carapace. Arlians have a passive 5% damage reduction. Goes up to 10% at Level 3 and +15% at Level 5.
Female:Dusty Wings -Female Arlians posses a kind of strange dust that they can spread on air with their wings, the dust has a similar color to the Arlian and helps conceal, making harder to hit the Arlian. Effectively has an additional 10% to dodge. This goes up to 15% at Level 3 and 20% at Level 5!
Transformations:
Hardening - When the Arlian gains more power his durability increases. His exo-skeleton becomes more resilient and his muscles gain strength. {10k+} [x2]
Adaptation - When reaches this level of power the Arlian males increase in size and muscle mass while the females become more agile and perceptive. {Requires [SU1] Power Bulking for Males/ [SU1] Speed Bulking for females. 45k+} [x8]
Ancient Heritage -After gaining control over his energy flow, the Arlian mind and body remember the age when his ancestors rule the top of the food chain. Their bodies change, adding more aggressive traits like thorns, horns and claws and becoming stronger. {Requires [SU1] Ki Surpression. 100k+} [x16]
Metamorphosis - When the Arlian body reaches the limit of it's capacity it turns into a cocoon. Some time after the Arlian comes out of the cocoon with a new body more powerful than ever. {320k+} [x30 Perm.]
King/Queen Coronation - An Arlian that reaches the top of his evolution have their energy color turned golden and his body gains a deep crimson color. This stage is know to legends only, it's power too compared only to legends. The progenitor of the Arlian race was the only know to reach this level. {450k+} [x47]
