She'd been 'trying' to keep her head low but much of this planet was hardly anything to be excited for. Work was slow and the entertainment until then even more so. She felt the angst and anger building within her heart beneath her armor and breast. The beat of a warrior with nothing to properly keep her occupied. She'd snort lightly in a small corner bar this time not far from more exciting places she thought she'd stop by later. But she wanted a stiff drink first not something fruity or weak sauce like one got in the more party center clubs. What better place to do then the old corner bars. They always had a good stiff drink when you wanted to put a little lead in the ol pencil after all. Plus she liked to see the stares from all the older warriors that didn't care to much for the strange and odd other races that came around their planet and cities.
She was the only 'alien' in the bar at the moment near the back with her feet kicked up on the table. Shooting back tall shots of whiskey she'd paid for ahead of time securing the whole bottle to get her self going. The type of creature she was being a creature of the sea had odd effects at times compared to natural land walkers. She could shoot back quite a bit for instance until it finally managed to hit her. Which is exactly what she kept doing. Sitting in a relaxed fashion both boots and crossed legs upon the table her heel tapping on the table rather loudly as some somber music played from the music juke box hologram program in the back of the bar. She'd set it up for a few songs to enjoy herself at least while she worked on getting sloshed to find a real party later. Each passing drink reaching her lips rather quickly as she poured it back as easily as water. The look in her bright eyes one of a lion perhaps looking for a hunt. An no target nor kill had taken the fire out of her yet and it only kept burning brighter. She needed something to quell this fire while she waited for some opportunity or job to come back along.

The Saiyan would walk into the corner bar, stretching a bit as he was off for the night. Of course, the duties of the Peacekeeper were never truly over by his train of thought. For him it wasn't about the money or anything, he just wanted to help people and make sure the universe was kept mostly safe, the force was just his way to connect with other like-minded people. But that certainly didn't mean that he couldn't sit back and relax at times either, which is why he came to this place. He had quite a few home friends who came to such places often enough so he would catch up with them there while making sure to keep watch.
However, as he entered, there seemed to be few people he really wanted to catch up with, making the Saiyan let out a bit of a sigh while rubbing the back of his head. He would walk to the person at the front, ordering something fairly light as he wasn't there to do anything more than relaxing for the time being, looking around the area with a bit of a soft stare, till his eyes fell upon something he had never met before. Person nor race. It reminded him a lot of how he had met Rose on the first night in the restaurant. Getting to meet new people was his forte, he supposed, so he guessed it couldn't hurt to get introduced to a new race in the meantime.
Taking down his drink very shortly, he would thank the bartender, before moving over to the table that the strong fish lady was sitting at. He would stand next to the table and look down at her for a few moments before deciding to open his mouth, taking notice of how much she was drinking. "I'm sorry if I am a bother, but I couldn't help but notice you sitting over here all alone. I make it kind of a habit to greet people who I haven't really seen before, and I've definitely not met anyone of your race." he would look at her features once more, firmly deciding that he has never seen one of these before. He didn't want to just talk out of his ass with such a thing, so it was good to firmly decide that she was as new as could be, like with whatever Rose was.
Slowly, he would raise his hand to greet her with a handshake of sorts. If she would accept, he'd make sure to make it tight. Warriors could tell a lot from the way one interacted with a handshake. He wouldn't exactly call himself a warrior per say, as he preferred the word Peacekeeper, but he couldn't deny the blood that rushed through him when he fought. "My name is Rutaba. What about you?" he didn't desire to assume that this was a woman, it would be odd to guess anything about a species he had yet to meet, as feminine as its features were. For all he knew they could be non-specified as a race in that department. [PL: 54,719] [HW: 13,680] WC: 521

She'd noticed a few strong powers nearby but had taken off her scouter after she'd tossed back a few drinks. Even after the one walked in that wasn't as rough to look at as others she'd still be drinking ironically like a fish some might say. Her body had lost most its tension and anxious nature it had prior and her breathing had slowed to a relaxed state. She was as laid back as one might imagine keeping her feet up on the table and even shooting back another tall colored drink when the male finally walked up. She'd eye him carefully though with her one good eyes as she shot down the fluid quickly. Her strange fin like ears perking briefly as she watched him from under her vibrant red hair. placing the glass down with a clank curious now that she'd been approached. She'd considered approaching earlier but wanted a bit more of a tip to her step first. It was more fun to make mistake with a strong amount of alcohol in the system after all.
She was relatively silent at first not answering right away but did accept his hand shake expecting it to be weak. But to her surprise... the tight grip almost hurt for something so passive... It was enough to start a small fire just lightly under it all. She'd bit her lip softly to what he said after finally speaking up after a few moments.
"Name's Serena if you're so curious, But if you want some fun company and conversation perhaps you should buy me a better drink. That's the appropriate thing to do in such a place isn't it when people talk?" She would gesture her hand off to the side with a outreached arm towards the bench across from her own and the table. As if saying to sit down. "I don't see many of my people on planets like these either. Guess you saiyans might scare them off. You aren't gonna scare little old me off now are you?" She'd add allowing a grin to curve up the side of her cheek adding a bit of fun to the conversation as she waited for him to be seated. Her cheeks lightly flushed seen as red lightly in her blue skin tone. As she reclined more it wouldn't be hard to tell she was a woman. Keeping her legs on the table feet crossed still though. She was wondering what this one really wanted after all. He was cute, pretty strong given the hand shake if she had to guess. She hadn't caused in trouble but you never knew what set off some of these odd races. Given the establishment she wondered if it was cause she was a different race maybe? Given what he said... She mainly watched and waited in silence unsure if this was a desire to fuck or fight type of vibe this dude was putting off. But then again it was hard to say which would be more enjoyable either.
The Saiyan peered down at the woman as she spoke, nodding firmly a bit as she gave her name and brought up buying her a drink. Rose had said the exact same thing when the two of them first met, she brought up the customs of buying somebody a drink when you wanted to interact. He preferred when he didn't have to do something just to meet somebody, but nonetheless, he nodded once more to that subject of that being the appropriate thing to do. Right then, the Saiyan moved away a bit, going back to the bartender and ordering two drinks before returning to sit down where Serena had gestured, passing her drink over before just taking a small sip of his own, listening to the woman's words as she spoke, her grin giving off a different vibe than what she was actually saying, meaning she most likely wasn't serious and rather was poking fun at it all, so he let out a bit of a smile rather than being a little down like he usually would be hearing his race potentially doing something bad.
"Nah... I won't scare you off, at least I won't try to anyways. I'm a Peacekeeper after all, what would I be if I tried to push people off of my planet rather than accepting them on?" to say the least, he wanted to be hospitable to the other races that came to Sadal as long as they weren't there to cause trouble. Even then, some people were just misunderstood or didn't know any better, so it was better to give people a chance in any case. Rutaba blinked a bit in thought as he pondered what exactly he was going to say, tapping the side of his drink glass. Perhaps it was best to start off with something of a light topic, something most races in the universe could at least get along with to some degree, depending on the person, of course. He looked up from his glass once more to stare at the woman. "You have quite a warriors presence about you, are you much of a fighter? Or is it just something natural of your race and you're not like that?" Rutaba questioned the woman a bit, before elaborating. "I just ask cause, my race is basically born with the blood of a warrior, we live to fight in a way but we put it to good enough use with the Defense Force. We get a high from combat in a way. I'm curious if there are other races that are just naturally attuned to combat as well? Or is it a person to person thing." as soon as he was done speaking, he signaled that it was passed back to the woman by raising his glass back up to his lips, taking a drink and then just setting it down to wait for whatever her response could be. In either case, he didn't much mind what she would say, but he was quite the curious person regarding such subjects. WC: 510 TWC: 1031

She had to fight the urge to chuckle as he nodded and walked away to order drinks all official like. She started to wonder if this guy was someone a bit high brow or something. She just rolled her eye when his back was turn and sat silently for those few moments. When he put her drink down she took a good third of it down in one large gulp. In a ironic way drinking like a fish some might say. She seemed to take it strong and fast and hardly seem bothered yet. Her body took in easier stride then other species. Her aquatic nature gave her some light edge but she was never exactly sure why. When he finally started talking he said he was a peacekeeper. Something she wasn't sure if it was an official title or self proclaimed one. An given how saiyans tended to be who could blame her for being unsure. They all liked to be loud after all and often be called one thing or another. But she wasn't in the mood for leaving it all just up to curiosity and chose to simply ask in this regards.
"Peacekeeper? Like a patrolman or something... You hardly look like anyone who would stop much crime. You look a little fruity to me... not necessarily in a bad way though." She'd say looking him over her scouter on the table. She had no idea how strong he really was but she wasn't guessing he was much to worry about. She'd lean over the table her elbows and arms supporting her as her hands crossed flat on the table as well. Her one good eye looking him up and down curiously. A fire lightly embered in her gaze. "You don't do this often do you?" She'd say most likely miss reading his intentions but almost immediately going about answering his question. "I suppose 'fighter' could be a good word for it. I do work that usually is things most people want done but lack the means and ability to do themselves. Then they give me money in return for such things. Fighting tends to come up in one form or another though quite often so sure... fighter yea. As for my race it really depends... We descend from warriors I'm told in our history but I've never actually been to my peoples home world. I was born elsewhere and grew up elsewhere. You'd have to ask someone from our native lands if you wanted to know more about our 'people'." She'd say with a light snort.
He did quickly talk about fighting and how it effected his people and their culture curious of her own and its regards to combat. She smiled lightly as a grin curved up her cheek. It was about what she'd expected from a saiyan anyway at least. They always wanted to fight but she still resisted chuckling. At least he was being polite... She took down another large gulp of her drink and stood up moving around the table and booth and coming around to his side and moving in close sitting down next to him. The strong bodied woman close enough where their sides would brush lightly and she'd side eye him with her one good eye. Taking down a drink and speaking a bit curiously. "Certainly fighting isn't all you like to talk about is it peace keeper? Isn't there anything... else... you like to do for fun in these parts?" She'd leaning back against the booth seat's back rest her height being about six four so even seated she often gave a large strong impression. Her coy grin one that carried a tone of mischievous nature about it as well. She wondered what kinda of prize she'd caught today as she watched him.
The woman across from him would actually inquire about what he meant by Peacekeeper, causing him to perk up a bit as he was relatively happy with his job. She seemed to call him something that sounded odd, though she said it wasn't in a bad way so he didn't take it too much to mind. "Yeah, I work with the Sadal Defense Force to keep everyone safe. Maybe I don't look like it, but I do the best that I can do..." he'd look up in thought, pondering how to respond to what she said about him. "My people are commonly named after Vegetables, so you aren't too far off with fruit?" Rutaba mostly said this jokingly, a knowing smile on his face after he said it before taking a sip from his glass again. In its own way, it wasn't bad to be that way as he was mostly just doing his job as he saw fit, other people could doubt but it didn't make it any less true.
It was then that the fish woman on the other side of the table would lean forward and look at him, the man blinking curiously a bit. "Uhm, do what often?" he'd fiddle a bit with the glass of alcohol in his hand trying to come up with a solution to what exactly she was asking him about. "As I said, I make it a habit to greet new people, especially those of other races. It is always interesting to learn about what is out there, and I often enough get some allies or friends out of it too." he thought back on the white jackal that he met, Rose, once more. She was the biggest example of a different looking race that he met and made somewhat friends with, despite some tiny mixups with thought processes. There was the dragon too, but his interaction with her was quite limited and he didn't know if 'friend' was the right word for the little time they spent meeting one another. There was also Demalia, but the Tuffle race was extremely similar to the Saiyans by physiology in a way, so it didn't exactly count, and friend was an understatement for her alone.
The Saiyan's eyes slowly dropped down to the glass he was holding in his hands once more, his fingers lightly tapping on it as he heard a bit of her story in a way, it sounded like mercenary work but such people came in handy for sure. The part that did stick out to him more was that she hadn't seen her peoples homeworld and didn't know much about their history and that she grew up elsewhere. He'd give a very soft nod before swirling his glass around a little bit. "I see. Apologies for asking then, perhaps one day I will seek out a bit of information if I have some time. But any race is accepted by me for sure." the Saiyans lips would move up into a smile as he'd raise his glass in a more positively reassuring way, before taking a drink. Perhaps some Saiyans would see a race that fell from the grace of combat as weak, but he didn't much mind, everyone had their place in making the universe better.
Before too much time had passed, the woman moved around to his side of the table and set next to him, the man moving around a bit in his seat to make sure he was taking up less room so she could have some space. She seemed really tall, taller than the Saiyan for sure, but height wasn't really everything when it came down to it. She asked him a bit of an odd question, the mischievous tone in her voice causing him to tap his glass a few more times as he'd just ponder for a moment on what she said. "Hmmm, well, I guess it depends on the mood I am in. I have a lot of interests that keep me going, and they all work depending on the person I talk to. I've met a couple of people who like to tinker and make stuff, and while I'm no good at it, it keeps me interested. Of course, food is always a great subject. And, well, just getting to know other people is always great too. Though I can't put what I mean by that into words per say." he'd take a sip from his glass once more to finish it off before passing it off to the side so that it was out of his space a bit. He took further note of the tone in her voice to add on. "But, that isn't what you really meant, I guess? When you asked for stuff to do." he sounded a bit more serious this time, leaning onto one of his hands as he thought over some things. What DID he like to do?
"I'm not a very complex man. So you might be asking the wrong person when it comes to stuff to do for fun. I tend to just do various casual things with those I call friend whenever I am not on Patrol or mission duty. What do YOU do for fun?" this time, his eyes would glide over towards the fish lady sitting next to him as his voice still sounded sort of serious, as this topic seemed more an actual question than random talk. While he couldn't answer her with some good things he liked to do, as he was sort of sporadic and lived day to day, perhaps a merc could shed some light on that sort of stuff. WC: 949 TWC: 1980

She didn't let out to much of a reaction just light -heh- at the vegetable comment. Then again no one usually went after a saiyan for their brands. So she just let it slide as the rest went over his head. Licking her teeth as she bit back the desire to let out a chuckle. Resisting the urge as she didn't want to offend or anything,... at least not yet. She listened to him talk as they chattered on for a short bit. The conversation making it severely clear he was more of a boy scout then she expected. He literally was genuinely just coming to check on someone of a foreign race. She was almost taken back by the whole situation as she just eyed him turning her head to face him with her one good eye fixated upon him. The yellow greenish tone looking him over as she had to mentally digest all this briefly.
"You really aren't what I expected... I was kinda hoping you were a bit of a tough guy... Guess you're a bit more simple then that right?" She'd say in a light hearted tone as she moved closer. The more he scooted away the more she'd scoot closer all the way until he only had the wall to his side if needed be blocking him. "Look Mr. Peacekeeper... What I like to do for 'fun'. Well lets just say I'm usually a pretty bad girl. A mercenary who sometimes just causes way more trouble then she means too. Like in all seriousness sometimes people die!" She'd say lightly jesting but some truth to it as well as she whispered so it would be a conversation only privy to the two of them at least from her end. Her chest pushing towards him strongly as her strong body would be seen as she'd turn in her booth seat so one of her arms rested on the back rest and the other on the table so she was in a sense facing him from the hips up. Her face jutting out closer to his as she spoke again.
"So maybe if a peacekeeper like you would have a little fun for me I won't have to go running a muck looking for fun elsewhere?" She'd say as one of her hands left the table to give a light pat of a certain sense towards Rutaba's lap in a place out of sight of everyone else. Making it as word and action clicked together that even someone as dense as he seemed to be would get what she implied. "You wanted to make sure us aliens are well taken care of right? That wasn't a like now was it?" She'd say chuckling lightly in her tease. Trying to look sexy but more often then not she often just came off as intimidating. Her sharp teeth being licked lightly as she leaned in even closer as her face neared his.
Rutaba's eyes slowly blinked towards the woman as she asked if he was a bit more simple than just a tough guy. He looked up in thought as to what that even meant, but it was quite obviously something he could answer. "Depends what I am up to. You could say I'm... laid back? When I don't have anything to do like this. When I am doing my job or fighting.... especially if I get all fired up or angry, I change into a different person. You could call it nurture or nature, either works when you work for a Defense Force and are Saiyan. What you see now is just how I am when that isn't the case." the Peacekeeper shrugged a bit as he replied, realizing he was out of room to move away as he'd just let out a bit of a soft yawn trying to look around a bit more, before looking back towards the woman as she moved towards him even more in his more trapped state.
What she spoke about was more of a touchy subject that caused him to narrow his eyes. "People die in war, battle, etcetera. I've seen my fair share already." his voice would lower a bit to a more blunt and serious tone as he thought about all the people he saw die before his very eyes. Whether it was those on the other side of the battlefield falling to his comrades or his own comrades dying in battle alongside him... or even his own squad. "In any case, Mercenary work is Mercenary work... but try not to get yourself caught on the wrong side of the law here. I'm a lot stronger than I look if we're being serious about the subject anyway." his eyes darted down to his uniform before he would pull out his own scouter to place onto his head. He preferred accurate readings over anything else, Ki Sense helped a lot more from a range but a scouter was a handy tool for communication and such. Her power was very impressive, as not many common folks could muster very high power levels. Putting his device away he'd move to catch her hand before it touched his lap with all of the speed he held in his body to try and not make too much of a scene but also not allowing it to follow through.
"Taken care of is a lot different than what this is, so sorry if it was a partial lie. I could find you, somebody, to fill that slot?" he questioned a bit as he wasn't sure what exactly to say. He could see the signals from the start but he just wanted to be polite. Rutaba wasn't one for rough put downs but this was getting a bit out of hand for what he could just wave away. "I'm in a relationship with a wonderful girl right now. Doing anything with anybody is against my code of ethics when it comes to that. I uh... probably should have opened with that, since I came up to somebody in a bar, but yeah." he'd finally let go of her hand that had moved before, waving it a bit to show her that this wasn't exactly what he was here to do, as dense as he sometimes was. He needed some way to disarm this for the time being, as he knew very well what she wanted but that was definitely not on the table. "Besides, there are a ton of people on this planet. I'm sure you can find someone." for now, he'd just wait to see what exactly this lady would do for now. It was all so unexpected but at the same time he wasn't sure how to disarm it entirely without just walking out, he wasn't known to be like that. WC: 644 TWC: 2624

She snorted pulling her hand back at the boy scouts words. Taking a gulp of her drink as she lightly rolled her eyes at his comment. Her hand pulled away but her proximity to him still remaining. "You really are nothing like your fellow race are you? You sound like a genuine boy scout with all the proper edges without a any give at all.... Are you sure you're a saiyan?" She'd say with alight chuckle finding it oddly amusing. Her good eye remaining on him ever still as if she still had a few ideas fishing around in her head. But for now keeping them to herself as her hands kept to the table or her glass taking the occasional sip or two making what remained last in its contents.
She reclined though after a few moments looking comfortable but in a way displaying herself as well her tall muscular figure more easily seen when she sat reclined in the booths soft seats. "I guess you aren't into any kind of real fun are ya...." She'd say sounding lightly disappointed.

It seemed like this was extremely disappointing in general for the fish-like individual, which made Rutaba feel a bit guilty for not opening with such an idea... that was his bad but there was no way he could drop his moral code over a mistake. What the woman would say next, "I don't know if I'd say I'm not like my fellow race... Saiyan's aren't all primal like that, we put our passion out in battle. Love is not just an idea here, some people develop actual relationships and stick to their guns. It just turns out I'm one of those many Saiyans. Trust me, they're out there." the Peacekeeper thought a bit about other people he saw in the world. His own parents were known for being an inseparable couple for the time they were alive, they even die alongside each other. He's seen countless passions and camaraderie, feelings towards allies within the Saiyan race. It'd be odd to say that not giving on a relationship was out of place for a Saiyan in the current day and age. Perhaps in the past when they were more primal, but now they were galactic protectors of peace, for a good part of their race anyway, it was what their kingdom was known for.
The woman went on to say that he wasn't into any kind of real fun, which caused him to lean against the table with a bit of a sigh, looking up towards her. "Isn't that a little subjective? What do you consider real fun? Surely there is more than just what you asked." he'd ask this, hoping that the conversation and meeting weren't just dead over a misunderstanding. Surely there was more to this woman than just the idea she posed before. WC: 295 TWC: 2919
