This is @juniper . I was told I could transfer my things from that character to this new one. I'll get cracking on this once some of the info has been restored.

Starting Planet:

Appearance:
Jie Shan Lan Dian could be described as lithe in stature, and some might call him slight. Standing at a modest 5'6'', his figure does not seem to indicate the well muscled body that he possesses, a result of his continuous training and combat. His mixed heritage is quite clear, the tail and eyes of of the Saiyan race being the most obvious clue to his Saiyan blood, and while the hair color, a grey, is not uncommon amongst the other races of the universe, it is not Saiyan in origin. Yes, it comes from his Elemi blood, thought it may not be obvious. The most telling part of his Elemi genetics is the so-called "flare-ups", which Elemi experience in the case of intense emotions. For Jie Shan, these flare-ups seem to come in the form of slight amounts of lightning that crackle during intense emotions, a trait he seems to have inherited from his mother, at least in terms of Elemi characteristics. He also has a small scar, the product of childhood training.

History:
Jie Shan Lan Dian was born to be a warrior. Or so that is what he has been told. Born on Planet Natto, Jie Shan Lan Dian has been immersed in the culture of the planet since birth, a distinctly Saiyan place. It also made a difference that both of his parents followed the path of the warrior. His father, Gai, was a Saiyan warrior for the Alliance, and his mother, Lei Ping, was an Elemi mercenary, contracted with the Saiyan Alliance for a single assignment. Luckily for JieShan, the two were put into the same squad for the same assignment, and the two somehow fell in love. And, as a result, Jie Shan was born. However, the two did not remain together long. Lei Ping’s work took her away from Natto shortly after JieShan was born, leaving him in the care of his father for some time.
JieShan had a fairly typical Saiyan childhood, at least for his first five years. As soon as he could walk, his father set him to training. His first lesson were in ki control, which JieShan found that he had something of a natural affinity for. Of course, there was plenty of physical training. Jie Shan learned to fight like a Saiyan, his fists growing strong and agile. As it seemed, the hybrid was on the fast track to becoming the typical Saiyan warrior.
Until his mother reappeared. The Elemi returned to Natto and demanded guardianship of her son, so that she might take him across the galaxy. His father was loathe to part with his son, especially while they were still training, but through combative means, his father was convinced to allow him to leave Natto, on the condition that his mother continued his training. And she did, though it would soon be revealed to Jie Shan that his mother had different methods than his father.
And so they departed Natto together, in the small ship that the Elemi mercenary used to ferry herself from job to job. But this time, the young hybrid was along for the ride, and he was going to see the universe. The two went from planet to planet, all the while his mother began to train him. As anybody who is familiar with the Elemi, they prefer equipment of a more… archaic nature. And his mother say no reason why he should not be school in such archaic arts as well. So, Jie Shan began to learn the way of the blade, mixing ki arts with sword arts. And he became adept at it, over the course of the time that they spent in space.
And in time, she began to involve Jie Shan in mercenary work as well. After all, the young half blood was quickly growing in strength. And, his mother figured, it would not hurt to have another hand in her work. More blades, more jobs, more profit. And all of those very much appealed to her. So, Jie Shan began his time, at the young age of ten, as a mercenary. Some employers balked at the notion of a child being an efficient fighter and worker, but soon Jie Shan was able to prove himself. Under the guidance of his mother, he successfully completed many jobs: enforcement, bounties, private military conflicts. The whole nine yards, and all before he hit puberty. As one might imagine, it did get to him mentally. But, his warrior nature allowed him to cope.
They continued this way for several years. They made good money, and Jie Shan had to admit: he quite liked the traveling that came with it. All the while, he honed his craft, fighting from day to day, training in the meantime. But of course, all things must end. One day, as they were making for a planet in PTO territory, they received a transmission. It came from a certain Saiyan back on Planet Natto: his father. Gai demanded that his son return home, as it was time for him to serve the Saiyan Alliance. He claimed that he had let Pei Ling have him long enough, and that his training at her hands was over.
His mother, not wanting another fight, simply shrugged and asked Jie Shan what he wanted. Jie Shan only shrugged in response, though he did not want bad blood between him and his father. So, he agreed to return to Natto. There, he and his father were reunited. His mother did not stick around for long, only long enough to drop him off at the spaceport and restock. As they said their goodbyes, she hugged him and the two parted ways.
Before long, his father quickly had him sorted into a squad of Saiyan warriors. There he served for the next few years of his life, from the ages of fifteen to eighteen. Jie Shan served well and with some distinction, earning the admiration of his captain and squad mates. For a time, he was content. It reminded him of his time with his mother. Together, they went on several missions of varying importance. The majority of them were simply peacekeeping missions, dealing with small groups of insurgents and separatists. Nothing major, but Jie Shan found interest in them.
And this too came to an end. While Jie Shan had been fighting, his father had risen through the ranks of the Saiyan Alliance, and was now something of a shotcaller, if a minor one. His father pulled him from his squad and had him stationed on Natto. When Jie Shan confronted his father, his father simply waved him away, saying that he had his reasons, and that Jie Shan had better grow stronger, for he had plans. Begrudgingly, he obeyed the orders of his father and superior, and began to attend to his new duties on Natto, training all the while. This is how he has spent the last two years of his time, trying to grow stronger and hoping that his father might change his mind.
And as of late, Jie Shan had been considering taking matters into his own hands, biding his time and stocking away zeni here and there...
