Makai had been in a state of unrest ever since the disappearance of it’s King and Queen. It had been announced to no one what became of them, only that they were involved in a tournament that would decide the fate of the Universe as they knew it. While that was true from Heizen, they didn’t want anyone making a grab for the Demonic Sword in an attempt to destroy Nakiya while she remained helplessly trapped.
Said sword was now affixed above the Royal Throne, where Aya or Vulpeca could be found spending most of their days. There was always someone in the throne room with their eyes on that sword, making it the single most guarded object in all of Makai.
Over the last 2 years, many of the noble families that served Nakiya loyally would fall to hungry Demon’s seeking the title of Lord. None of them attempted a coup on the palace however, as it was still fresh in their minds how sorely they lost the last time with the interference of Prince Trase, The Queen’s twin brother. However, they couldn’t rely solely on his assistance as he was still far too unstable, and so the creations still loyal to Nakiya decided to begin training their armies, their soldiers, and anyone that would serve the Royal Family personally. They strength grew enormous, and that brought pride to the Interim Queens heart.
There she stood within the throne room, organising the schedule for the soldiers next rotation on one screen, while Android 2 sat perched on the ground next to her, several holographic screens displaying various types of runes, ancient spells and old documents… The twins, Nari and Seiryu were in the throne room as well, training with one another in their Demon Forms. Seiryu was a rather small azure colored Dragon with sparkling scales, while Nari resembled something more of a harpy. Her draconic features were more focused into her limbs like her mothers were. Unlike her brother, her scales were a vibrant red, and only a streak of blue visible in her ponytail and otherwise dark hair.
Armies being trained. Trained so that the strenous control the royal family had on Makaii remained intact. What a foolish endeavor. They were fighting over barren wastelands, indulging in petty politics, all so they could wave around their monstrous egomaniac phallic objects, lording over those that were weaker or beneath them in hierachy. It made Kestri sick to her stomach, how everyone seemed so obsessed with clawing their way towards an arbitrary top, rather than actually assisting those around you, creating a better Makaii for everyone. Though, the demon girl was well aware exactly how this world functioned. The difference in power was so enormous, that those towards the pinnacle of power easily trumped those towards the bottom. Something that the training sessions she had been forced to endure had made completely clear. Kestri was, by no means, a fighter of any sort. The girl still hadn't managed to grasp the concept of flying, despite her nearest family having given it several attempts. In many ways, Kestri was a glaring, burning disappointment to her peers. It made the girl wonder, on occasion, why the family hadn't simply disowned her and sent her into the wilderness. Perhaps they had enough heart to disallow the soldiers from having their fun before granting Kestri the sweet release of death. What an absolute joke...
The edgy teenager made her way to the throne room as she was instructed. At least, as long as Kestri seemed to put forth enough effort, they allowed her to sleep inside the castle's walls. Often, inside the castle walls meant down in the dungeons, somewhat hidden away from sight, but it was better than sleeping outside. Or at least, so Kestri was led to believe. Groaning softly as she stepped into the throne room, the doors opening with a classic wooden sound, the girl took a few steps inside. Bowing here, to pay respect, was one of the things her family also frowned upon. You're meant to be a demon princess. Show some backbone, grow a spine, grow strong, have some self respect, you shouldn't bow to servants or family. Honestly, the harsh tone that usually permeated her home was... Sigh...
"You wanted to see me, no doubt to attempt kicking my rear into shape, I presume?" Crossing her arms across her chest, Kestri knew. Almost regardless of what attitude she portrayed, it was still going to end the same way. Kestri, on the ground, sweating and panting pathetically, with the others wondering how could our sister be this weak? Kestri wore a simple dark green pair of pants, leading into a dark green and black vest. A pair of same-colored bracers kept her arms in check. They were ideally meant to have weights and stuff attached to them to improve her training, but Kestri didn't care for having every single everyday action become bothersome. "Well, lets get on with it then. The sooner you kick my butt, the sooner I can go back to licking my wounds and being a disappointment."
"You have quite the attitude little sister, good." Aya commented as Kestri came in, already sounding like she had her tail between her legs and was giving up. The only positive to this whole encounter was Kestri's attitude and how at least that showed SOME promise in terms of being a Demon princess. Aya would stand up from the throne with all the elegance of a Queen, carefully stepping down so that she could be on Kestri's level. While the older Demon was still taller than the younger... it honestly wasn't by much. Aya was rather short which was odd considering both of her parent's were pretty tall... a trait she never forgave her parents for giving her.
As she approached Kestri, she placed her hand on her head gently, stroking her hair for a moment before walking past her and heading back towards the now open doors of the throne room.
"While kicking your ass into shape is tempting... it seems a far cry from what is possible right now. So why don't we go over the basics again instead? We are not saiyans, you won't simply miraculously get stronger the more I beat on you. Come, let's fly around the city shall we?" she asked of the girl, knowing full fell that she couldn't fly... and that was going to be the whole point of this training. She was going to transform into her Demonic Serpent form, and have Kestri sit on her back. If Kestri should accidentally say... fall off, during this flight. Then surely her fight of flight[.i] instinct would kick in.
