Like many saiyan children born to the Empire or to the alliance, Komatsu spent the first 3 years of his life within an incubator, sleeping peacefully until the day would come for his parents to wake him.
As a child, Komatsu was a rather quiet boy. He spent this early years studying under his parents, both mentally and physically. He never complained about how harsh their training was, nor did he say much of anything... at all. At first, his lack of speech concerned his mother. Maybe there was something wrong with the boy mentally? He barely spoke to his parents, let alone his brother or any of the other saiyan children he had been raised around. It wasn't until Komatsu turned 6 that he began to speak more openly. He was still soft spoken however, preferring to keep his words to himself. None the less, he would silently continue to learn from his parents, sticking to their sides like glue.
All in all, Komatsu seemed to be a very timid, shy child who barely left his parents side.
When Koma was 7 years old, his brother returned from his 3 year adventure to another planet. He couldn't help but feel angry with his brother for leaving him behind with his parents. Then, even though he was back home with them, he still felt abandoned by the elder sibling as it seemed he had much more important things on his mind. Nasu never seemed to spend any time with him, always leaving him behind with his parents. Normally, it wouldn't be an issue as Koma was almost always following them around, however as the young boy grew up he had started to look up to his elder brother and wanted his attention. When he didn't seem to catch his brothers attention at all, that's when Komatsu began to start acting out.
Koma would soon become quite vocal about everything, quickly becoming angry with his parents during their training and growing more and more violent as time went on. While he was never able to over-power his parents or even come close to it, he started to care less and less about his well being in training against them. It looked like Komatsu was becoming more and more like his mother, Tomoroko, as a similar 'battle mode' began to affect the young boy.
Soon, he stopped training with them, disappearing for hours at a time as he left home so that he could train on his own. There was so much anger that the young boy couldn't express with his parents around, so he took to taking it out on the creatures that lived on the outskirts of the capital. When he would disappear from home, he would start to hunt the creatures down as a way to relieve his anger. However, once he caught his prey, he was merciless with them. This trait was one you wouldn't find within his parents... he began enjoying it far too much. He would start by beating his prey mercilessly when he caught them, then would even turn to torturing them. It made him feel good to know that he was strong, that these creatures were paying attention to his every move. They knew he existed when he felt his brother didn't.
Then, the day came that his parent's would leave for Planet Vegeta in an attempt to overthrow the Queen and to free the Kagami slaves. He heard his brother plea with his parents to take him with them and they finally agreed to it, so Koma stepped up and demanded to be taken with them as well. However, being 7 years younger than his brother his parent's denied him, leaving him in the care of his grand-mother. This infuriated the young saiyan, he was being left behind again! This time not only by his brother but by both of his parents! He threw such a fit that he ended up blasting apart half of their home until his mother pinned him down long enough to calm him down.
Crying and upset with his family, Koma expressed how much he hated them for leaving him then turned his back on his family as they left in preparation for their war.
He wasn't about to be left behind again though... no way, as soon as his parents weren't looking he would sneak aboard their ship and hide the entire trip there. His power level went undetected, lost within the mass of saiyan's that had boarded the ship to help them with their war.
Once they were on planet Vegeta, Komatsu waited for most of the fighting to begin before crawling out of the Star Javelin with a smirk on his face. Here he was, on the saiyan home planet! AND there was a war going on! This was like a dream come true! He could fight to his hearts content and have fun. Maybe when his family finally noticed that he was on the planet, they would see how strong he was. Maybe then his brother would notice him.
The battle on Vegeta didn't quite go as Komatsu had planned. While he was powerful for his age, most of the saiyan warriors he would face were just as strong, if not stronger than he was! He got beaten up quite a bit, even beaten down to an inch of his life before the Saiyan's of the Empire decided to leave him his life. He was a child after-all... a young child at that. Instead of leaving him there on the battle field, he was taken back to one of their hideouts were he would be held prisoner.
Komatsu would be held as a prisoner for a year on Planet Vegeta until he was eventually released to be trained as one of their own soldiers. Any time the boy would act out against the Empire, he would be beaten down, reminded of his place among them before being allowed to train as a soldier once more. He was kept under heavy guard for two more years. Not only was the boy being trained as a saiyan soldier, he had been trained as a guard to the new royals of planet Vegeta. In truth, this training was meant to be more of a joke. After finding out that Komatsu was the youngest son of the warrior that had killed their Queen they thought to keep him close to the prince as an insult towards the Alliance.

Offensive
[B1] Explosive Wave: The user stands charging a lot of ki around their body until it explodes in a crimson red energy sphere around the users body. This technique repels any foes with a weaker power than the user, and damages any foe that comes into contact with the wave.
[B1] Atomic Strike: This ability focuses Ki into a single part of the user's body, creating a faint red glow around the limb being infused with the attack. The user has to physically strike an opponent or an object to release this powerful energy which is released in a powerful blast.
[B1] Rail Gun: A Ki attack that is focused in one of the users hand. A small beam of red energy is focused around the index finger before growing to the size of a tennis ball. This beam is then released and fired in a straight line towards the opponent, leaving a trail of energy in it's wake.
[B1] Continuous Energy Bullet : Komatsu brings up his arms to his sides, charges up ki in both palms before firing both hands forward again and again. He fires a large amount of ki blasts to cover a wider area of attack.

[S1] Flight: The ability to manipulate one's ki so that they can levitate from the ground and even fly.
[S1] Tail Mastery: Komatsu has gone through intense and painful training to overcome this weakness.
