The top of the Lookout was far too crazy right now, and right now she had to get her baby to somewhere quiet. So, she'd gone back into the palace structure to her room. It may have only been a single day that she'd spent in that place to this world, but it had been a year for her since she'd last seen her room, or been in her own bed. The demonic Saiyan carefully lay down her baby on the pillows before lying down herself on her bed, before screaming her face into the mattress. Okra, her little six month old baby boy just looked at his mother in brief confusion before he tried to wriggle around in the new place, his eyes looking around, trying to focus on everything in it.
Cambia pulled her head out from her mattress before sighing and gripping her head. "Just what the hell was going on while we were gone?" she asked before frowning, then sighing as she closed her eyes to try out something that she had not used in quite some time. In the distant past she used to keep in contact with her mother, Ro'salinth, but had stopped calling her for quite some time now. She hadn't used any telepathy in a very long time, and she wasn't even sure if she'd be able to reach anyone... but with her improved abilities, she had to give it a damn good try, if only to get some kind of answers.
"I just hope I don't accidentally pick anyone else up in this..." the demonic Saiyan mused before she concentrated as hard as she could, trying to stretch her senses out as far as she could in an attempt to locate the energies she wanted to find. Specifically, those of her family, even if she only shared half their blood. It took some doing, the area that had apparently been the site of the recent duel was littered with their powers, so it was a little tricky trying to actually pinpoint where they were... so, rather than trying to guess which one was them, Cambia decided to go with what she guessed would be a classic stereotypical approach for a Saiyan using telepathy.
The demonic Saiyan decided to just mentally yell in the entire region, hoping that she'd smack her voice into one of their brains at least. It would probably piss them off to no end, and definitely give her a headache in the process, but right now she was beyond caring about their feelings. <<NASU! KOMATSU! ATSUKO! IF ANY OF YOU CAN HEAR ME, GET YOUR COLLECTIVE BACKSIDES HERE NOW! JUST WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON AROUND HERE?!>> Cambia telepathically roared, immediately clutching her head between her hands as a massive migraine speared through her brain. Her own pain had to wait though as Okra immediately began to cry, his little face screaming out in pain from his mother's telepathic burst. "Oh I'm so sorry baby." Cambia said, picking up her child and cuddling him close, trying to soothe him by rocking him back and forth, whilst stroking his cheek and making shushing noises.
"It's okay, it's okay... mummy just had to try and call your uncles and aunty. She's not very good at it yet, and I'm so sorry you got hit by it Okra." the mother profusely apologised to her child, continuing to rock him and cuddle him till he eventually calmed down. Cambia continued to rock her child gently, humming a random series of notes as she wiggled her fingers near his face, smiling softly as he went to grab them, his little tail wagging in the air.

Once again, Komatsu had returned to being an emotional shit storm. There was something deep inside of him, egging him on to lash out against all of planet Earth... a feeling he hadn't felt since long before he died... back when he was still under the Empire's influence. Another part of him, however resisted that urge with everything he had. Sure he was angry but, there was no reason to take it out on the population... as dumb as said population was.
Komatsu already had such little respect for the human race... then when he went looking for Kohl, any respect that remained fluttered out the window. Those psycho fan girls that mistook him for a famous rock star caused him some serious grief... and even now he couldn't help but look over his shoulder as he felt like he could hear them approaching. Seeing as he was so deep into this forest however, he doubted anyone could find him without a very acute Ki Sense.
That was when Cambia deemed it worthy to scream into their heads, causing Koma to bring his hands up to cover his ears as if that would help get the girls voice out. He couldn't help but cringe before shouting right back in the same way he had been able to speak to Atsuko before.
<<I SWEAR TO GOD I'M NOT AFRAID TO HIT YOU!>> He retorted angrily. The anger he had been trying to hard to suppress flaring up to the surface once more. He would let out an angry growl before he would suddenly blast into his Super Saiyan form. His power level remained at a mere 1,000 until Komatsu would take off from his hiding spot in the forest. As he began to move however, his speed would somehow instantly double, leaving a small ring of energy behind him as he moved insanely quickly.
As soon as Komatsu reached the lookout, he would have to take a deep breath to try and calm back down and regain his strength. As he had flown, his power level had decreased to 300, accommodating the sudden need for speed. Now though, it was slowly climbing back up to 1,000 again.
"Where the hell is she anyways... demanding us to show up then not even being here... what the hell..." He said in full angry attitude as he walked towards the palace on the lookout. He had never actually been inside... save for his foot crushing part of it when he was a great ape. It would be interesting to see what it was like, though he kind of wished Kimiko would be the one to show him.
He would reach out with his senses for Cambia, raising an eyebrow as he sensed two separate power levels inside.
------------ WC: 465 Learning [ST-1] Speed Burst: Komatsu is able to sacrifice his physical strength to increase his defensive strength. This grants Komatsu an increase to speed as well! [-x3, +x2]

<<You know Atsuko doesn't like people swearing by her~>> Cambia thought back to him, now that she knew how to do it properly and he'd contacted her back which was a massive help in the telepathy regard. Although as soon as he arrived, she could tell that he had improved, immensely, since the last time that they had seen each other. Kinda made her feel a little pissed in all honesty.
Everyone was so much stronger than she was, and the demonic Saiyan doubted she'd be able to get another stint in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber any time soon in order to try and make up the difference. She just hoped that she could get into a proper training regime then in order to try and somehow catch up to everyone else... The sooner the better in her view of things.
When he reached out for her, she walked outside the palace, Okra in her arms. "Well?" she asked looking at her younger half-brother with a raised eyebrow. "You going to stand out there all day, or you gonna come in, say hello to your sister and your new baby nephew?" Cambia asked Komatsu, a little smirk on her face.
The baby in question just looked at his uncle and gurgled, his tiny hand trying to reach out towards him as he drooled. "Think he likes your hair." she said with a chuckle, before she started to head inside, making sure that Komatsu was following behind to her room. "His name's Okra" said the blonde hybrid. "I wasn't sure what to call him, so I took a punt at how Saiyan names went from what you and Nasu got called." the demonic Saiyan admitted. "Is it alright?"

After being nursed back to most of his normal health, although still injured and with a broken nose, Nasu was flying at a low speed, but still much faster than many people in the universe. His ghostly-white ki aura was around his body as he scratched the skies of Earth, heading straight towards the place far beyond the clouds: the Timeless Lookout. During his trajectory, he would look behind him from time to time, to see if the red-haired woman named @hwajae, the one that helped him, was still able to catch up with him. After a short while, Nasu would arrive at the place that, a while ago, he was trying to destroy. He couldn’t help but feel sort of weird to be there after so much time. ”So… They restored it all… I see… I wonder what Athren would think about this… Well, who cares… He is dead, anyway.” Nasu thought to himself, shrugging a bit. Then, focusing on the two familiar energy signatures he was sensing, he walked towards the inside of the temple, a place he had never been before and, once he got there, he found Cambia and Komatsu, but there was also a third person: a baby in her arms.
The saiyan immediately remembered about the time Komatsu told him Cambia was carrying the child of Athren, but that made him frown his brows a bit, feeling rather intrigued. ”Can it be?... I mean… It has been just about five months… She shouldn’t be having a child now… That’s odd! But… It’s definitely a saiyan… He has a tail and luckily he looks more of a saiyan than she and Kimiko do.” he thought to himself with a serious expression on his face as he continued to approach them.
– I’m here, Cambia. I take it this is your kid… How did it grow so fast? – he bluntly asked her in his normal, not so welcoming tone.
Hwa-Jae never flew this fast at any point in her life. She thought she possessed a decent amount of speed back at the temple with only Cineza showing that she was faster on a regular basis. The two could run circles around Elder Sister Pyya on her best day. But the speed Nasu showed? That was another level entirely. And he was going slow. Just enough so that she would not get too far behind, but the way they were going, Nasu looked more like a speck in the air. Hwa-Jae needed to power her flight with her ki, surrounding herself in an orange aura to propel herself to greater velocity.
Higher and higher she ascended, following the Tower of Korin until she reached the top. It looked like a small dwelling of some description, but alas in the brief moment she hurtled by, she could see no one or nothing. Perhaps another time would come where she would explore the dwelling, but for now she had to keep up. Her hands outstretched to streamline her flight, she continued to fly straight up, yet could barely make out the destination. It looked little more than a dot within the blue sky.
Yet Hwa-Jae had to catch herself in her disbelief. The Timeless Lookout was there, floating in the middle of the sky. The closer she got, the more majestic it appeared. All she needed to do was make it up there. However, despite her progress, the air was starting to thin out and even the simple action of breathing was starting to prove laborious. If she didn't make it to the Lookout soon to rest, there was a chance that she'd pass out and plummet to the Earth. There was no way she'd survive the fall and in the off chance Nasu or someone else caught her, the embarrassment would be too much.
"Need... to use... afterburners..." While unconventional to say the least, Hwa-Jae learned that one could fire ki blasts from their feet just as well as from their hands, though they were often more clumsy and less accurate. Hwa-Jae didn't need accuracy right now, she needed extra power. Focusing her energy on the soles of her feet, Hwa-Jae created two ki orbs and ignited them at once, using the force of the blast to shoot her up like a rocket.
It worked, if only too well. Hwa-Jae flew upward faster than she ever imagined that she now worried that she would overshoot the Lookout. Once she cleared the main surface, Hwa-Jae turned in mid air ceased her flight altogether. She landed with a thud onto the Lookout's platform, rolling onto her back and breathing heavily.
"All right... all right..." Hwa-Jae breathed out as she turned, bracing herself on her hands and knees. "I made it... deep breaths... whew..."
She stood on shaky legs. Giving her head a fierce shake, she turned to see Nasu greeting someone. Her vision still blurry, she made her way to him.
"Hey there Nasu," she said, "See, I told you I can keep up. Whew... dizzy up here. And you must be... Nasu's friend? Nice to meet you." She bowed to the blurry image of a person. "I'm Seuta Hwa-Jae, student of the Kasai Hato Katachi. I'm just going to sit here and catch... my breath..."

Komatsu couldn't help but roll his eyes as Cambia commented on not swearing by Atsuko. Sure, the title she held was Kami, but like hell if that made her a god... Nothing against his sister, but he wouldn't consider anyone in that position a god. They were guardians, anything more was just a stroke at their ego's.
Whenever he started sensing out for his sister, it wasn't long until she showed up, and his eyes instantly darted to the little one in her arms. He would raise an eyebrow as he looked at the child, then back up to Cambia, noting the significant lack of baby belly. How the hell had this kid been born already? And by the looks of him he was a few months old already. He wasn't aware that they had an incubation chamber here... and even if that were the case, shouldn't they have waited until he was a little older?
"I still find it strange to call you and Kimiko my sisters... but... how is he born already? That was a rather short term." He noted, his eyes taking in the child's features and trying hard to keep a straight face. He'd never actually seen a baby before, beyond Tamari who was already 3, so it was strange to look at such a tiny saiyan. He looked a lot like Athren, and that caused a pit to start growing in the saiyan's stomach. This poor guy would grow up without having a father... an experience Komatsu couldn't even imagine having... when he was little, his family was always around... his parents, his brother, uncles and grandmother... It wasn't until this very moment though that he realized how good he had it back then... and little Okra wouldn't know that... well, at least Komatsu could try being there for him. He owed it to Athren in the end didn't he..?
"Okra sounds like a great saiyan name, actually. I'm surprised you managed to come up with that." He would say, about to step forward to maybe get a better look at this kid, when he felt Nasu's power quickly approaching. It wasn't overwhelming like when he was transformed, but powerful none the less. It also wasn't accompanied by that sense of impending doom, which made Koma inwardly sigh in relief. He wasn't too sure how to face his brother right now... what was he like after that battle? After his fight with their mother? Was he better? or even worse? Did Koma have to be defensive of his new nephew when Nasu landed?
The thoughts barely had time to form a plan, as Nasu landed on the lookout and very quickly found himself nearby Koma. the younger saiyan would glance up to his brother, taking in everything he could, as fast as he could. He would tense up instinctively, expecting shit to hit the fan for no particular reason.
He wanted to greet his brother, ask him if he was alright but, then this red headed woman showed up and Komatsu remained silent, instead choosing to look back towards Cambia and Okra. Seeing NAsu again so soon, just made him think back to the battle and quickly, Komatsu started to grow angry again.
Cambia was about to answer Komatsu's question about the baby, when Nasu finally arrived, and not alone it seemed. She raised an eyebrow, and her lips curled into an amused smirk before nodding at the red-head as she introduced herself. "This your girlfriend Nasu?" she asked before looking towards her younger half-brother. "Is that possible? I mean, a female wanting to hang around him without wanting to punch him?" she asked, half-sincerely, half-teasing, the little baby in her arms gurgling away at all the attention he was getting.
"Well, first to answer Miss Hwa-Ja's question, I wouldn't say we're friends... sadly we're half-siblings. Same dad, very different mothers. Bit of a sore point on their side of things." the demonic Saiyan explained to the red-headed girl before she returned her attention to her brothers. "Well Nasu, meet your nephew Okra. Figured out a name... well, based on what your names were." the half-sister admitted to her half-brother. "And yeah, it was a short time for you lot out here..." she said before using her tail to point towards a sealed door deeper in the Lookout's palace structure.
"Trained all day yesterday and gave birth to him in there. One day here, is equal to a year in there. Course, it can only be used for two days total according to what I was told about the place." Cambia explained to them with a shrug. "Little bit pissed I didn't get much stronger than I did in there... but then again I did have a bit of a distraction to my training for a while." she said, pointedly looking down at the baby in her arms, who only looked back up at his mother with the most innocent look possible.
"So, Okra's about six months old, and at the same time half a day old... Birthday's are going to be confusing as hell for this kid. Aren't they?" she asked, wiggling her tail in front of her baby's face, smiling softly as he tried to reach for the furry appendage, his own tail twitching around. "Yes they are..." said Cambia before looking at the boys. "Speaking of confusing, care to explain what happened the other day? I go away for one day, one day and I come back to find your energy and Atsuko's littering an entire region, as well as a couple of corpses apparently, and something about a giant blue lizard?" asked the demonic Saiyan, looking at the two Saiyan males equally.

The red-haired woman wasn’t very fast but she was trying hard and he could tell that much. Oddly enough Nasu was feeling some empathy towards her to the point that he didn’t want to just shrug and leave her behind completely. ”This is annoying…” he thought to himself, while he was still heading towards the Lookout, but didn’t put any more thought into it. In the end, when they were about to reach the Lookout, she managed to speed up a little bit by using her energy, but that would leave her drained for a while, and he could tell it without even needing to wait for the outcome of it – and he was right. Once there, after rolling on the floor, she got back to her feet and greeted Nasu, who just nodded to her briefly before speaking. - Good you managed to keep up. – he said and, after that, she spoke to Cambia, asking if she was his friend, and introducing herself, before she said she would be catching her breath.
Nasu also didn’t fail to notice Komatsu tensing up when he saw him. Nasu sighed in mild annoyance and stared at his younger brother. – Chill out, brat! I’m not going to hurt anyone in this damn place. – he said in a rather harsh but straightforward tone. Once he spoke to Komatsu, he stared at Cambia at the very same time she asked that inconvenient and teasing question, making him roll his eyes in his orbits, even more annoyed. – Shut up. – he grunted, and then she continued to tease him, now to Komatsu. – Yeah, fuck you. – he added to Cambia, folding his arms and then staring back at the kid in her arms as she began addressing Hwa-Jae, telling her she was in fact his half-sister. After that, she informed him of the name of her son, and, surprisingly it had a saiyan name. Nasu arched one of his eyebrows with that pleasant surprise. – Okra… Not bad. – he commented.
Cambia started explaining about Okra’s way too fast birth by telling them how the hyperbolic time chamber worked. That, however, completely surprised Nasu, making him widen his eyes and his jaw to drop slightly.
– W-what?! So… This is how you assholes power up so much. And then Kimiko was bitching because of the mark… Hypocrite piece of shit… To even think you bunch have such a tool… I should have really destroyed this damn place in the end! No wonder she was so adamant on protecting it! – and he was clearly frustrated with that; Atsuko and her allies had a way to train for a whole year in a single day, while Nasu had to improve by normal means. Still, what made him more at ease a second later was the fact that he managed to surpass her even without such a trick and that made him feel even more proud and he returned to a more serious expression while Cambia continued.
– Six months old? Well, then you should put him into an incubation chamber for the next two and a half years. Saiyans only mature enough to be useful and independent at the age of three, even for hybrids. – he stated with a serious tone. – To keep him out is to make him soft and vulnerable. I can provide you with an incubation chamber later. – he said in a way that he seemed to think she wasn’t going to contest that, but as he said that, she also spoke, asking what had happened and Nasu exhaled a bit.
– Well… I came here to settle the score with Kimiko, and for fuck sake, stop calling her this stupid earthling name. Anyway… We fought fiercely and, although she acted cowardly more than once, I gave her a proper duel and I won in the end, meaning I am the strongest. Still… I couldn’t really savor my victory because the wicked demon queen Nakiya kidnapped her at the last second. Not as much as kidnapped. – he paused, narrowing his eyes a bit as he remembered the battle. – She tried to flee from my attack by voluntarily entering the portal to Makaii. Like a bitch. – he grunted in a sulky tone.

"Can you seriously blame me for being tense?" Komatsu would snap back at his brother as he crossed his arm with a clearly annoyed expression on his face. When Cambia turned to him and teasingly spoke of nasu, his expression became even further angered as he furrowed his brows. It wasn't in any ways Cambia's fault that he was angry... but it was becoming in increasingly difficult for him to control that anger.
How fair was it that Nasu had picked up a girl, when Komatsu had lost the one that he cared about... He was fighting for his brother... to make sure he got what he wanted and it ended up costing him more than he bargained for. It cost him Kohl, his arm, and the whole pained experience in the medical tank.
"You know what, screw it. He's the best person to ask about what the hell happened anyways." He would say as he eyed Okra for a brief moment before walking away from his siblings, and the red headed woman that followed Nasu here. He would make his way to the edge of the lookout, completely ignoring them at this point. He would force himself to take a deep breath to try and keep his anger in check... however the more he thought about controlling it, the angrier he got! Why the hell should he control himself at all? Why did he have to be the responsible one? So Nasu could have his little freakout, threaten an entire planet, but he had to control himself?
Of course no one was forcing him to do this... he was abiding by his own morals... but it was extremely conflicting... At this point, the only reason he wasn't allowing himself to get angry was because of Okra.
"Fuck... Damn it..." Why was he even getting so angry? Sure he had a lot to be upset and emotional about... but not to this extent... it was like something deep down was driving his anger and pulling it up to be even more than it was.
Hwa-Jae managed to catch her breath and managed her breathing after a long while gasping for air, but in the end she was able to stand just fine and her vision was no longer blurry. This was good as she looked around and realized that all the people Nasu was meeting were saiyans just like him as they had tails as well. One looked even surlier than Nasu, while the other, a woman, was holding a saiyan infant and looked a little more approachable, though not by much. Hwa-Jae could not tell where to even begin with this group as she felt like some bystander off to the side.
This thought was only pushed further as the group began to squabble amongst themselves, arguing it seems about this that and the other thing that Hwa-Jae had no means or place to add her voice or anything. The group of saiyans appeared to be family but Hwa-Jae wondered if Nasu and the other surly one, of which she bowed and introduced herself in quiet greeting, would come to blows at some point. Not like she could do anything to stop them, nor would she try. They'd both make her a smear on the wall.
Instead she took a spot near the female saiyan. "Well, I am a girl," Hwa-Jae said, "though I don't know if Nasu and I are friends. I found him below the lookout and he was appeared badly wounded, so I helped him recover. He said I could come with him to the lookout and here I am. He's not so bad, I think. As blunt as a hammer but hits as hard, I gathered."
Hwa-Jae, keeping her distance, looked down on the baby Okra with her brightest smile. "Hello, little one. I'm Seuta Hwa-Jae. It's very nice to meet you! Are you mommy's little bundle of joy? I bet you are." Hwa-Jae smiled at the saiyan woman, hoping to get her name at some point. "He's absolutely precious, you must be so happy with him."
Hwa-Jae did not have much experience with children beyond the very few orphans Old Master Fuega admitted into the temple, much like she did with Hwa-Jae herself and her friend Cineza. Their care was left to the Sisters well versed in healing. Hwa-Jae trained as a guardian, so she did not interact with many of the children. She did enjoy playing with them in the Temple grounds.
Nasu then seemed to get upset about something and threatened to blow up the lookout. "Could you not blow up the Lookout while we are on it? And dot talk about blowing up things at all if you can help it. There's a baby here after all." Hwa-Jae shook her head. "Is that a thing with you, Nasu? Don't like it, blow it up? This place is amazing. Just because you're frustrated about something doesn't mean you have to wipe it out."
Yet the squabbling seemed to come to a head as the surly saiyan walked over. Hwa-Jae gave a great sigh and looked to the woman and Nasu. "I know I'm just a spare wheel here. I'm not even a saiyan. Is it all right if I look around the Lookout while you sort out your family issues? I'm starting to think I need to see this place before you lose your temper."
Cambia raised an eyebrow at Nasu's reaction. "Mark, what mark?" she asked before scowling at him. "Hey, before you start going all "Saiyan Pride" on me here, that room can only ever be used for two days in the span of your entire life. That's it. Something about strain on the body or some shit like that. You still have to train and live through an entire year in there, and only two people at a time can be in there." explained the demonic Saiyan, Okra looking up at the red haired lady and gurgling. Cambia looked at Hwa as she spoke and nodded. "I am... Ayami wanted me to call him Bubbles cus," she began to say, chuckling slightly as the little baby boy began to blow bubbles in his drool, "he does that from time to time."
When the older Saiyan said about putting Okra into this incubation thing, the blonde hybrid growled. "Not a chance. I am not letting my child grow up isolated, alone, floating in some tube just because you lot think he's no use." said the mother, glaring at Nasu. "He's a baby, he's not meant to be going out around the galaxy, conquering planets or whatever it is you send three year old children to do." Cambia said, clearly not going to budge on this issue.
When he explained what happened, Cambia narrowed her eyes. "First, I'll call Atsuko by the name that I know her by. Second, there's a difference between cowardice and tactical thinking." she said before smirking. "She pulled the Ki Suppression trick on you didn't she?" the demonic Saiyan asked, before she shook her head. "There is no way in hell that Atsuko would willingly go into a portal made by a demon. Not even to avoid one of your attacks." she stated, Okra scrunching up his face a little for some reason. "Why do I get the feeling you're not telling the full story here Nasu?" asked Cambia before blinking as her baby sneezed, and in that sneeze fired off a small ki blast that flew towards Nasu.
"That's a new one." Cambia chuckled softly. "You're not supposed to pick a fight with your uncle till you're a little bigger Okra." she teased, before looking at Hwa as she spoke. "Go ahead. Bathroom's the third door on the left by the way." directed the demonic Saiyan before she smirked. "Besides, I'm only half-Saiyan myself." she said before looking back to Nasu. "So, the missing parts of this story aside, what the hell would the Demon Queen want our sister for, and why do you know her, by name no less?" asked the blonde hybrid, trying to figure it out.
Her eyes widened for a moment. "That mark thing you mentioned earlier... you didn't get that from demons did you?" Cambia slowly asked, holding her baby closer to her so that she could protect him better, her feet shifting stance in case Nasu decided to get violent. She could tell that they were leagues apart in their respective powers, but the least she could do was try and protect her child from his uncle.

Nasu scoffed a bit when Komatsu inquired if he could be blamed for reacting like that. – Obviously. You know all too well when I’m up for trouble, which I’m not. – he remarked. Then, he stared to Hwa-Jae with the corner of his eyes when she answered Cambia, saying she wasn’t sure they were friends. Nasu had no clue on that department either; the only thing he knew was that he owned her a favor for nursing him back to health after his experience with both the super saiyan three form and fighting his mother. She claimed he wasn’t so bad, but just blunt, and that made him sigh in mild annoyance. ”Great… Now I’m being analyzed…” he thought to himself.
After that, once she finished talking with the baby, she asked if he could not blow things up while she was there. In fact, she asked him not to blow things up at all, and then she continued with the analysis and stuff and that made him grow frustrated and angered, gritting his teeth and widening his eyes with so much annoyance.
– Oh, for fuck sake! I said I should’ve destroyed this damn place, not that I would do it now. – he said, defending himself, then, when she said she would go around the place, he just hmphed, and turned his eyes to Cambia once more as she started explaining how the Hyperbolic Time Chamber worked. This just made Nasu even more angry especially now that he remembered how much they kept on whining because of the Majin Mark, calling him a cheater and stuff in order to make him give up on that slight boost to his power, while the earthling defenders had stuff such as the holy water and this place to train a year’s worth in a single day. ”Hypocrites… Those fuckers!” he thought to himself, but then, as he stared at the baby doing baby stuff, he couldn’t help but to give a single chuckle, and his expression became more neutral as Cambia explained about the stupid name some stupid earthling fuck wanted to give to his nephew.
Then, when he brought up the incubation chamber and Cambia showed to be completely against it, he rolled his eyes in his orbits, annoyed yet again. – You bunch are so stupid. It’s better for the baby’s development and his power level will grow to what it should be. You shouldn’t even have carried him in your body to begin with. God, I forget how you earthlings are primitive! – he complained before shrugging. – Fine, do whatever you want with your baby being vulnerable to threats and unable to defend himself! And for fuck sake, the Alliance doesn’t conquer planets! That’s what his father’s people did! – he said, pointing to Okra, mentioning Athren.
Cambia also said she would call Atsuko by her earthling name, as annoying as it was, but he decided to pay no mind to it, it was minor issue. Then she started defending Atsuko again with the tactical and cowardice issue. When she mentioned the ki suppression tactic he nodded. – She tried, but I have a scouter and her tactic was useless. She also resorted to cowardly acts, such as to pretend to forfeit the fight. If you call that tactics, then I say you bunch are cowards full of shit! – he said and he meant it. – And she did, everyone was there watching, believing whatever the fuck you want about your worshiped hero, but she isn’t this almighty being of virtue you idolize her as. She is a piece of shit that should be dead and a true coward, with some short and brief moments of bravery. – and for him to recognize that in Atsuko was already a hell of an evolution; this image could be better by now if it wasn’t for Atsuko’s own actions. Nasu wasn’t the only one who lost newly found respect for her that day.
The hybrid also implied he wasn’t telling the full story and, shortly after that, the baby sneezed and fired a ki blast at Nasu. The saiyan quickly reacted and deflected it away effortlessly but that made him crack a grin.
– Look at that! The brat has more guts than all of you people together. It’s the saiyan blood in him. I already like him more than all of you earthling fucks together! – he said in a slightly teasing tone. But then, when it was time to explain things, Nasu’s expression became far more serious.
– Alright, I will tell you. – he said, pausing briefly. – I’ve made deals with this demon queen before, first for information, then to make sure she would release my uncle… The first time she asked me to drink a cursed water, which works like the opposite spectrum of this sacred water of yours. But I refused. Instead, she wanted my blood. I don’t know exactly why, but I gave her that. Then… During another meeting, she implied she had other means to help people achieve their true power. It was back at the time I was struggling to ascend to super saiyan two, but was unable to do so. – he paused yet again, with his expression growing much darker now. He was angered by that, but, still, he didn’t regret it; Abzerute’s power did, indeed, help him unlock his true potential. – And that was the power of the Evil Sorcerer with the Majin Mark. I can only imagine that the mark allows him to control people, but me being who I am, he was unable to control me. He just had a mental link… But… I must admit, the mark brought out the worst in me… It enhanced all my cruelty and inner evil and I became that. I did that for power, but I liked what it did because… I don’t kill blood. Not my normal self, at least. – he admitted, sighing a bit. – That annoyed me and the mark allowed me to think about killing her and I wanted it. – he explained and, somehow, he felt like he was about to puke, but he resisted that. – Anyway… It wasn’t a demon in the racial sense… This Evil Sorcerer is a Kold Demon. And I can only imagine that the demon queen may want to corrupt Kimiko to use her power, since they failed to have me for their tool. – he ended by saying that, staring at Cambia right into her eyes.
Hwa-Jae did not know what to do as Nasu argued with his half-sister about how to raise Okra. As much as she wanted to chime in, she did not feel it was her place to do so. For starters, Okra was the saiyan woman's son, so Hwa-Jae believed that it was her choice as to how to raise the boy. Second, they were saiyans, and while they looked human enough, Hwa-Jae did not know what special needs saiyan children needed. However, judging by Nasu's recommendation of raising Okra in a test tube, she could see there was definitely something she did not agree with in that method of child rearing.
There was also the fact that seeing a mother and her child reminded Hwa-Jae of her own deceased mother. The image was blurry as she passed when Hwa-Jae was very little, but she could still remember her mother's smile. How filled with joy she was when she held Hwa-Jae. Hwa-Jae could see similar in the way the saiyan woman held Okra.
"Okra is her son," Hwa-Jae piped in. "Okra's parents are the ones who determine what is best for their child. And she's right. He's a baby, not a warrior. Leave the decisions of his own life to him. As much as I'd like to learn more about saiyans, I'm starting to wonder... Growing in a... in a tube or whatever does not leave much room to learn how to talk to people. To learn empathy. But what do I know. I'm just a primitive earthling."
Hwa-Jae placed her hands on the back of her head as she wandered away right when Nasu was going on another tirade about something or other. The guy got riled up easily. Perhaps Hwa-Jae should have cowered in fear in the face of such power, but what would that accomplish if not making her own like a coward Nasu apparently hated. Instead of worrying about Nasu, his sister, and the other surly saiyan, Hwa-Jae decided to take the opportunity to explore the Lookout.
Since the saiyan woman said she could, Hwa-Jae wandered over to the main building that sat in the middle of the Lookout. She thought about going to the surly saiyan, but decided against it. She already annoyed one so she'd rather not annoy another. As she wandered, she found herself facing a large door. She tried to open it to get inside, but the door would not budge.
"Probably locked," Hwa-Jae muttered, then returned to her wanderings. She hoped to find something interesting soon, but wasn't sure what she was going to see. She assumed there was something of great wisdom in a place so high in the sky. The gods were rumoured to live above the clouds after all. Anyone who lived in sky should have something of interest for her. It certainly was not with the saiyans, not at this stage anyway.
"What's that?" Hwa-Jae said. She saw something in another room and wondered over to see what it is.
Cambia scowled at Nasu as he berated her for being so primitive in even just her physically giving birth to her baby. "Well excuse me for not knowing a single damn thing about half of my blood, since I've been on this bloody planet my entire life and the only times I've met Saiyans was when you lot were trying to blow shit up... and that one time with Athren obviously." she said, bouncing her baby slightly in her arms as he got a little fussy.
When her older brother began to explain a little bit more of what Atsuko did in the fight, she gave a shrug. "Well, getting the enemy angry enough to make mistakes sounds like a decent strategy... and well, you do have quite a bit of an ego to bruise." the demonic Saiyan pointed out. "And wasn't there a giant blue monster lizard running around the place? Even if she was duelling you, she is still the Guardian of Earth." Cambia said. "Would kinda think if the same thing was happening on Natto, you'd want to try and take care of it as well." she theorised.
Well at least he likes Okra, that's a start. Won't need to worry about any Alliance coming after him then. the mother mused to herself as she watched Nasu tease the baby a little. It was very odd to see him not being an absolute arsehole towards someone. When Nasu began to explain his connection to the Demon Queen, and all the stuff he had done with her prior to now, Cambia began to grow agitated. "You'd have thought our family would have learned from the last time demons got involved." she sighed, shaking her head a little as she referenced her own origins.
"You willingly gave her your blood, without finding out why she wanted it. Then you let them give you a magical steroid, just because you were coming up short for the next Super Saiyan form?" she asked, trying to figure out where his brain had been during both of those decisions. She rubbed her face, grumbling in exasperation to herself before he talked about Atsuko in connection with the Demon Queen. "Well, that's not going to happen." said the demonic Saiyan, looking at Nasu pointedly.
"There are two ways into the Demon Realm. First is a portal, one which demons and half-demons can make... Whilst a pure demon can take another person with them, being a half-blood I'd only be able to go alone." she began to explain to Nasu. "The second way into there is sealed. An ancient door that connects Earth to Makai. Only problem being we've got no way to keep it open from either side without... well blowing it up." Cambia said. She looked down at Okra, holding her child in her arms.
"If you expect me to go down into Makai Nasu to do your work for you, then I'm going to need something from you." she said, looking back up at him. "I want you to train me to fight like a Saiyan. If I'm going to go hunting for the Demon Queen to save our sister, I'd rather be a lot stronger than I am right now." she said, looking at him straight in the eyes. "If the Demon Queen succeeds in doing something to Atsuko like she did to you between now and the time I make a portal down there, I want to have a few tricks up my sleeve that neither of them will be expecting." said the younger sister as she spoke to her older brother. A thought occured to her. "And... can we do it in a gravity chamber as well? Just to speed up the process as well?" she inquired. "I know that my sister's never been in one of them before, and the Time Chamber only produces Vegeta's level of gravity..."
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
