"So much to do...," Heizen mused to himself. He reached down, picking up a small pebble in his hand. "I cannot take Earth Realm with my power. I can barely stay afloat in this realm after all... and that planet surely must have changed plenty since my ancestor's time..." Crushing the stone in his hand into sand and scattering it in the wind - Heizen began prepping himself for training. The first thing he needed to do was meditate calmly. Sitting criss-cross applesauce whilst floating in mid-air - his dark blue fighting aura surrounding him in a vibrant incandescent light. Small pebbles from the rocky plains of the Demon Realm began to ascend from the energy coursing throughout the environment, gathering around the young Jackal Demon as he focused his power. For a time silence filled the plains, but in that silence voices from the past came creeping to the surface. "You will listen to me, boy! For I am your master now. I own you!" his memories echoed to him as he tried to calm his mind.
"No...." he muttered to himself. He was not that child anymore. He was free. "That's right, boy. When you disobey me you get the whip! Hyah!" The crackling of the whips haunted him, angered him. It gave him strength but took his clarity. "No...." he muttered yet again. Malokai was dead. There was nothing more to think about. "You're mine!" the shadow of Malokai whispered. "NO! I'M NOT!" he roared, releasing a surge of energy that scattered the pebbles across the rocky plains. His concentration had been broken, and he could feel himself grow cranky. Floating among the plains the Jackal Demon looked outward. Meditation just didn't suit him. There was too much on his mind to calm. What he needed was another good fight...
While he stirred over his need for a fight - one of the lowly demons of his admittedly small clan came up to him. "My lord..." he bowed before Heizen. It was going to take him some time to get used to such things. "Speak your business," Heizen demanded softly. "Akira, from Demon Clan Vepozar has challenged our clan for dominance in accordance with Malokai's defeat." So: the first of the clans had already begun to act. His corpse had only just been buried... or rather what had been left of it. Heizen was surprised it took them this little time to try and challenge him for authority. "Very well. Bring Thanas and Seid, we shall meet these troublemakers head-on." he grunted. Though he loathed his former master - he had learned rule from him. Those who dared to oppose you needed to be made examples of. He would prove his control of Demon Clan Gaknor by eliminating this challenger brutally. Tightening his fists with anticipation - this might just be the match he was looking for. Akira was a demon above even Malokai in strength - unlike his former master she was a true warrior. She would not fall easily. With Heizen's new level of power following his conquest of the clan it would be a good test for what he could do.
He lay in wait for the two. When they arrived they would set out.
"MY LORD!"
"MY Lord!" echoed the cries of his men. "You're late," he stated displeased, his facial expression blank and his gaze intensive. He did not like to be kept waiting, just as he did not like to make others wait. They bowed for forgiveness before the Jackal Demon, but he shrugged it off. He saw no reason to punish them, as long as they did not make the same mistake next time. And thus they all charged their ki auras and set off - heading to face the Demon Head herself. "Beware of Akira - for she is much more powerful than your old master. Heh. The only reason why she made no move up until now was her flirtations with Malokai. She's likely to be angry that he's gone. And when she's angry - she's dangerous...," he warned the two. He had a few encounters with her in the past while at his master's side...
"Malokai: it's so good to see you again. And I see you've brought your pet~," she chimed a few years back. Heizen was quiet - muttering but a single grunt in response. "Yes he is proving himself to be quite useful. How are you, my dear?" he said sweetly, as he gently kissed her hand. Heizen remembered Malokai's sucking up out of fear. Akira could have crushed him without a thought and claimed his clan for her own, but spared him out of some romantic interest. "Ohhohohoh you are too charming, Malokai. It's going to get me in trouble one of these days..." she blushed.
Heizen grunted once more in present time as he knew this wouldn't go over very well... especially considering he didn't have the "diplomacy" of his predecessor. This would not be pleasant.
And so they appeared in the lands of the Vepozar Region, flying down where a rather big crowd awaited them. Akira was a violet demon with two horns on the top of her head. Other than that she had a most humanoid shape, even possessing white hair akin to a human. She wore a kimono that exposed her shoulders and curves of her bosom - as she was one of the more sought after demons of Makaii and thus used such a status to her advantage. Heizen however had no interest in such a being. He merely wanted his Clan left alone and his own ambitions left un-meddled. As he flew down - he could see her glaring at him with fiery hatred. She was mad he killed her pet.
"I knew you were trouble, Heizen. But never did I think you would do something like this," she hissed at him. He looked on blankly, a sense of ease and calmness still about him even as she looked at him with venomous wrath. "Why am I here, Akira? Surely you don't mean to challenge me only a few days after Malokai's death? I know he was your squeeze and all but: is he really worth all this trouble?" he said with a wry grin. The two demon's behind him stayed still and quiet. A small streak of sweat rolled down the sides of both of their faces, for they knew not why Heizen was acting so calm.
Akira's rage only intensified- her red aura swelling outward and glowing with its bright luminosity as the demons felt her ki pressure. Heizen knew this wouldn't be easy, but her anger would serve him for what was to come. She was a lot sloppier as a fighter when she was filled with rage. "Oh? Is there a problem, Akira?" he asked cockily. It as a rhetorical question. Veins protruded from her forehead for but a brief moment before she caught herself slipping. She took a deep breath and calmed down - thinking Heizen wasn't even worth his time. "No you're not even worth me sullying my hands. Men - take care of this furry, filthy dog!" she shouted. Well that was a surprise. "Heh, prepare yourselves boys. Looks like we're in a for a fight."
The two men nodded, all three of them powering up as their ki swelled within them. They weren't about to let themselves be beaten so easily by thugs. Heizen had chosen these two for he knew of their strength. Thanas had a power level of 1,500 and Seid had a power level of 1,600 himself. They were stronger than the average demon. They would be able to take thugs like these. Akira's horde of fighters were a hundred total, but all of them were low level grunts in the 300's. They would be easy prey for the three of them, even with all of their numbers.
And so the horde charged onward: Heizen and his men ready. "I expect you to take on at least 30 each you two: I can't be doing all the work after all," he whispered to his men. And so they descended like a swarm. Flying in from all directions Heizen focused his attention one at a time. With the first four trying to fire energy waves at him from all directions, Heizen flew upward (thus causing them to fire into each other). As he ascended he found four more men all piled onto him with a volley of fists. Blocking as much of his body as he could the Jackal Demon absorbed the multitude of punches with gritted teeth. They were weak but all of them hitting him at the same time was a nuisance. He needed to get rid of them. And so he exploded with a surge of energy using his explosive wave technique- vaporizing them instantly as they were overwhelmed by his energy. Eight down. Thirty-two to go.
The next wave charged toward him all at once, one after the other. Heizen immediately intercepted the first one's charge: lifting the knee and extending it outward the warrior launched a frontal kick on the first one that sent him flying, after which launching an elbow backward into the stomach of the guy approaching him from behind. Hopping off the right foot and putting his weight back on his left, Heizen formed the rising right leg into a sideward kick for the face of the guy flanking his side. The jackal demon retained both feet on the ground. As the next demon launched a punch, Heizen caught the arm and used it to judo throw the man behind him: over into the guys once again reaching for his blindside (taking out an additional three at once). Seven more down. Twenty-five to go.
Flying into the air with his dark blue ki charging, Heizen maneuvered a retreat. Trying to gain some distance, the young Jackal Demon found himself in the midst of a chase - as the demons flew up after him firing energy blasts. Flying backward from side to side as he tried to maneuver outside the blasts - Heizen knew these guys weren't playing around. The advantage was still in his favor however - they had not counted on him being able to evade that. With their stamina low Heizen flew back towards them, taking advantage of their chase to rush them (knocking out each with a single melee attack). From the closest one getting a straight punch to the head, to the other getting a spinning roundhouse kick to the side (knocking him down to the ground), to finally the guy who got palm thrusted in the throat: none of them stood a chance. Three more down. Twenty-three to go.
If he bothered to use more energy on these weaklings the battle would already be concluded, but he did not wish to waste the stamina on such a thing. Akira was still standing by watching the battle, and she would no doubt fight after this. Her men were simply a way of gauging Heizen's level. "I need to end this soon," he reflected to himself. He would just have to end this fast without using energy, which required him to use all of his Physical Power. Heizen let out a deep hum as he began collecting his reservoirs of power- charging his Dark Blue Aura all around.
Quickly accessing the power of Demon Heart - Heizen felt his power skyrocket as he charged through the remaining demons with effortless concentration. They soon all fell before his might as he systematically eliminated every single one of them with a combination of kicks, punches, and chops to the neck in the blink of an eye.
Akira's eyes widened as she could feel his power. Unlike Heizen and Malokai she had learned how to sense the power level of an opponent, and as she felt Heizen's ki she realized her folly in underestimating him. No, she was still more powerful than him. But the difference was not by much (especially compared to how strong he had been the last time they had met). She realized underneath all of his boasting was an actual fighter. And though she loved Malokai she always knew in her heart that he hadn't a warrior's spirit. "Very well, Heizen. You have proven yourself quite the little warrior. I will honor you with a glorious death by my hand!" she shouted as she began to immediately access her own transformation. Channeling the Demonic Energy she too was of Demon Heart- putting the two on equal grounds. Unlike Heizen's power level of roughly 9,300: Akira knew she herself boasted a power level of 12,000 in this form. She had quite the advantage on him and would grind him into dust for his crime.
"I must admit. I don't know if I can win this. But I refuse to let myself be commanded by another! Not after fighting so hard to be free!"
Heizen charged at Akira at full power with a hook swinging right for her pretty little face. Akira, raising her left forearm to the level of her eyes while twisting her torso, intercepted the attack by blocking it outright. Following up with the punch to the gut, Heizen felt his punch meet her knee as she raised it up again in defense. She in turn used her free hand to aim for his face, which he dodged by descending diagonally towards his left in the nick of time. This wasn't going to be easy at all. Upping the intensity: Heizen launched a series of attacks in quick succession as the tempo of combat hastened. With a flurry of jabs right after the other, Akira was forced to up her defensive as she began parrying and blocking the incoming attacks quickly in succession with her hands and forearms as the two flew across the sky. Whenever she got the chance Akira herself launched a volley of jabs and kicks - forcing Heizen to block the attacks as they came on coming by using his knees and forearms as well. The two went back and forth for quite some time until they both released a shockwave colliding their fists at the same time. The impact of the mighty two forces colliding right against each other separated the both of them.
Akira smirked. He wasn't half bad it seemed. She didn't get a chance to fight much, but when she did she relished it on a level rivaling even the Saiyan Race. But with the warm up over she was now going to fight seriously. Firing a pink energy wave - a mighty beam rushed out towards Heizen hoping to take him out. "So she's already warmed up. Lovely," he thought to himself. Using his rapid movement Heizen zipped right outside the beams range. But little did he know that was exactly her plan: as Akira charged in with a mighty swinging fist to the face - Heizen felt himself be pushed back by her mighty force as he was launched outward across the sky. He flew for a few dozen yards before he regained control. Stopping himself with a push of his own force, Heizen regained his composure in the air flying level and his feet facing toward the ground once more. He wiped the blood of his face that resulted from her admittedly decent shot. Veins protruded from his forehead as the Jackal Demon grew annoyed.
He planned to pay her back in spades. Rushing back towards Akira he began to charge dark-blue energy in his hands. Condensing the energy as a bright light began to surround the palm of his hand - Heizen fired it in the form of a beam as it traveled to collide with her. With a smirk Akira charged her energy as she prepared a barrier to dispel the incoming attack. Little did she know however that she was in for a rude surprise. His Hellzone Wave being the distraction, Heizen continued flying at his maximum speed while she dispelled it as he followed up his attack with Jackal's Wrath - his own melee technique. With a ferocious right hook to the face, Akira stumbled backward from Heizen's first real shot. Following up with a knee to the face that sent her flying upward, Heizen finished off his combo by flying after her and knocking her down into the ground below with a mighty punch. His counter-attack was brutal and should cause some level of damage for her.
Falling into the ground below Akira made a harsh impact as a small crater was made where her body was supposed to land. She gasped from the attack as she briefly lost the air in her lungs. When she recovered she saw Heizen standing over her with a glare. He began panting as he had just used up a good deal of his energy in that attack. He was going to be in trouble for a little while. She was furious at him, as dirt and bruises now covered what she considered to be her beautiful body. No demon had ever dared to do such things before now. Raising her hand up as she began to charge a pink energy blast, she shouted to Heizen in typical anime fashion her signature attack. "Pink Devastation!" Releasing the pink ball, Heizen couldn't feel the strength to dodge her attack, and instead chose to take it head on. The ball collided and exploded into his body, as Heizen let out a small but noticeable cry from the pain of the attack.
She too began to pant heavily from the firing of the blast, having drained herself of her energy in her counterattack. However before either of them could make another move- two Light Blue energy waves merged into one as Thanas and Seid had just concluded their share of the Demon Fodder. Deciding to help Heizen out the two put their energy into a combined, powerful attack capable of injuring the Female Demon Head. With their awakened powers at 4,500 and 4,800: the blow was enough to drastically reduce Akira's power level back down to a low 6,000. Not able to put anymore effort into the fight though, the two simply collapsed on a knee a piece. They had been drained from their own conflict.
Heizen would remember to reward them greatly another time. Heizen immediately flew at full speed once more towards Akira, raising up his knee to collide with her jaw and send her flying back toward the edge of a nearby rock. Unable to muster the strength to block or dodge - Akira found herself vulnerable to the attack, and was sent flying backward with her back against the solid mass."What do you say, Akira? Are you finished with your tantrum?" he asked. He really saw no reason to continue this pathetic fight. It had no meaning whatsoever to him. "No, I refuse to let this go! You stole my love, my future!" He sighed to himself. This was truly troublesome. "So be it Akira. Let us continue this match to the end then." He began to radiate his dark blue aura once more, as too did she. He had gained a little strength back, but she was still catching her breath.
Heizen began to charge his energy together in the palms of his hands- that dark-blue shimmering once again radiating outward. Tiny orbs surrounded his hands as the energy surged and enlarged over time. He was preparing to end this fight with one more blow, and she knew it. Desperate she looked on as Heizen began collecting his energy. "Super...," he began to chant. The energy widened in scope as it continued to swell within him. She quickly put out her hands in front of her- beginning now to gather her own red energy wave between her hands. "Magma...." though he saw the energy begin to gather from her he knew there was nothing to be worried about. He now had the advantage. "Hellzone...." he continued. The energy within him had surpassed the space of his hands and continued to grow. She too began surging her energy, but with Heizen having the head start there wasn't much she could do. "WAVE!"
And thus the two dark blue waves fired from his palms- again merging to form the large wave that he had dubbed the "Super Hellzone Wave". This technique was the one that had killed Malokai- and now it would be the technique to defeat Akira. "BLASTER!" she screamed as she fired her large energy wave to counter. The two met in the middle as they caught each other in a beam struggle, light red hoping to overcome dark blue. Heizen could feel his energy surging through the wave as it began to overpower Akira. Though her beam was putting up a great struggle trying to resist - it had simply been too little, too late. Red found itself giving in to blue as the shining beam overwhelmed and encompassed the Female Demon Head, a brilliant flash of light radiating as the explosion sent harsh winds from the pressure of the attack. A huge sweep of dust settled over the area - and when it came too all that could be seen was the female demon beaten and naked on the Demon Plains floor.
Thanas and Seid were surprised- having expected her to be dead. Though Heizen refused to admit it - he had spared her life in the preparation of his attack. The energy he had used merely crippled her for now until she could find a healer. The Jackal Demon walked slowly up to the girl, dismissing the two warriors and sending them home. As he stared at her he opened his mouth. Speaking with that low, vibrant tone the Jackal declared his victory. "Your challenge has resulted in failure. Let this be an example to you and all the others who may try and take Demon Clan Gaknor. Your punishment will be: to live. And tell the others of your failure to kill me." She stood there quiet as she listened to his words. They were harsh, but merciful. She couldn't believe after all that he simply allowed her to live. That was something Malokai would never have done, and in her heart she guessed that if he had been as strong he would not have extended the same courtesy. She nodded out of respect.
"If you try this again: I won't be so generous." And with that understood the Jackal once again flew off into the sunset. His position had been solidified, and now he could begin his preparations to scout Earth Realm....
