Last time she had came here, and wasn't just traveling through, she had met a supposed God of Destruction. One who looked like a species of cat that was found here on earth, and wore clothing that was long past the wear of today's society. Yet, due to being alien, or whatever other reason, this supposed figure still acted all mighty.
Whether it was because this was just typical of his people, or just his personality, she didn't really know. She had met many people, on her quest to gather both allies and servants for her cause, but Anubians weren't a common one.
Though that was far from being surprising. Many of those who inhabited earth, were either solely human, or were a hybrid of sorts. Both groups might have even had each others genes carried somewhere inside of them.
So those who while humanoid, but didn't possess human appearances, were far from being a sight she would say was daily. One thing she would say hadn't really changed throughout history, was how groups interacted with each other.
Some people were afraid of those who were different than them, while others like her, accepted it, but for different reasons. She wanted to study those she came across, hybrid or not, though once she came across one half, there wasn't really much of a need to study the other. It would still be beneficial, but something she would rather have happen more by chance, than something she would actively ensure she would gather information about that particular group.
She had already proven that there were a lot of similarities in fighting styles, no matter what race you were of. Ones that could be broken down to those who used ki, and those who would rather attack someone physically.
The differences really lied in what attacks they had to offer. Something strong enough to push people back, or could leave an impact on the environment, were things she was mainly looking to study from, figuring out how it worked.
A lot of her previous observations she had either attributed to being from that particular group, and thus couldn't be copied with something similar, or could, but needed the right body type to form it flawlessly.
Neither of the two were really anything that hindered her however, as what she couldn't copy for herself, she would at least be prepared for any future encounters. But Anubians weren't a group that she was able to particularly study.
Too busy with other affairs at the time to really do so, but she never really saw it as a loss either. Someone with that kind of personality, although interesting to talk to, was one that could challenge her own superiority.
Not one she was really keen on facing again. Thoughts which surfaced, as she made the decision that would impact her daily life. Both the allies and servants she had recruited, was a party which was growing big enough, that she couldn't see having the mansion reside in the forest any longer. They needed a bigger area to live in, which the wasteland could easily fill. The weather wasn't exactly optimal, but measurements could be taken to bring shade.
It would require more time and effort into pooling from her current resources of wealth, but she wanted the best not only for herself, but for those she would invite into her mansion, as a way of studying them under the guise of a spar. Information which she wouldn't care to reveal if it was asked, quite conscious that it might be an interest.
They had only just finished deciding on a spot she envisioned would work out for future development, which although would be lost if they needed to take their leave again, wasn't something she would consider to be a lost.
Taking her leave away from West City, would only be because she saw something that would benefit her. With the number of allies she now had, which totaled to a number of eight, not many would really go and interest her any longer.
She currently had no business in the other cities, and was devoting most of her focus not only on recruiting more people to her cause, but on her eventual takeover of the Capsule Corporation, as the building's president.
An entirely new pool of wealth which would open up more paths for her to explore and add to her own assets. She watched her allies go back into the mansion, complaining all in their own way about their journey here.
Ayumi and Hana, the supernatural fanatics of her group, struck an obvious contrast. Although the former was exhausted, she still gave off the impression that she wasn't, and hurried the latter up, even though her fatigue was obvious.
The brunette was waddling more than walking, and kept trying to slow her breathing, causing her Vampire teeth to unintentionally retract out. While the raven-haired girl, and more lazy of the two kept shutting her eyes, as if it would somehow transport her back to the room. But she had to both run and walk like most of them did.
Her cousin had been the only exception, with the red-head demanding that her Suppidoan ally, carry the girl on his back. Nothing unusual there, and she had the upmost respect for her cousin to have such confidence among this group.
It was only a step above entertainment from listening in on her more conservative duo, Mayu and Asuka, where the latter gently encouraged the former to continue. The smiles that were passed around by the girl and the backrubs given to the other red-head of the group, although contrasted her own morals, they at least had their priorities straight.
Her young Saiyan ally, and her Majin one, had been the last two who went inside the mansion before her. Compared to her more human servants, those she had considered her bodyguards, didn't feel the same way as how the others felt.
They were trained to handle way more than what humans had to work double the effort to do. Ayumi, the only Vampire she had sired so far, only felt exhausted, because it wasn't the girl's job to train the way she and her allies did.
The brunette was more meant to mold her human servants into handling the kind of death they might witness, and perhaps even carry it out themselves. Progress which she routinely checked up on, but wasn't really a priority in her eyes.
Closing the doors behind them, she had walked around the mansion's exterior, feeling the heat of the sun continuing to cast itself onto her. Trickles of sweat already had touched her body, which she was planning to shortly rid of.
She just needed to make sure where to apply a tarp long and big enough to bring some shade.
Sometimes, Cervez couldn't help but wonder if he was really needed as an Entity of Destruction. So far in his relative peaceful stay on this planet, the Anubian had experienced many new things, from good and bad, and he had come to acknowledge the fact that the humans, or those that decided to make this Earth their home planet, commonly fell on the chaotic spectrum.
Like a sponge, he absorbed the knowledge that this place had to offer him, and looking down on its history, the Anubian had read how the world had clashed time and time again since times immemorial: the people destroying themselves for their quest for gains, from monetary to territorial and even to own a certain sect of people; humans always found a way to kill each other for the silliest notions, or even when they just felt like it.
After all, sometimes you didn't need a reason to end the existence of another being, other than you just felt like it. They could have had a loving family, perhaps they were a respected leader for their people, or were the vilest of criminal the seedy underworld had to offer. A Killer wouldn't give a damn about their background, blood would still be blood and it just so happened that they were now coating their blade a crimson color.
So, really; was his job necessary considering how the world tended to destroy itself, one piece at a time?
Perhaps he was looking too much into it, after that nap that lasted almost an entire year (it was actually merely eight months) he had woken up disoriented and with a small sense of loss. Eerily similar to when he first awoke in that distant planet in the North Quadrant because the Balance shifted once again.
Before he could think more deeply into it, his aimless flight took him just outside of West's City perimeters and right into its Wastelands, his violet eyes soon enough setting upon what looked like an exodus taking place not too far away. Stopping in mid-air, the Anubian blinked his eyes and decided to watch what was going on. It seemed like these people were departing from the city and going to a new home set in the Wastelands, an unusual occurrence since as far as he was aware, humans tended to flock together in big masses merely because of an old saying that still holds true to this day: There is strength in numbers.
Then again, while it wasn't the same was hundred of thousands of people living in a City, he figured that eight people living close together in just one home were enough to form that sort of strength if the situation turned dire for any of them. Especially when two of those individuals felt the same as that Vampire he met long ago inside Capsule Corps.
Curiosity piqued, he began to descend back to the ground leisurely, after all, why should he hurry when the house wouldn't suddenly sprout legs and walk away, add to the fact that the strong one in the group, interestingly enough one of the Vampires in the group, was just outside and walking around; possibly scouting the perimeters in sign of danger or what have you.
Yes, hurrying wouldn't do him any good, except waste energy which he would need in a pinch in the case this Vampire turned out to be the aggressive sort, and this blazing heat wasn't doing anyone any favors in the slightest.
"Greetings!" The Anubian called to the young looking Vampire once he was close enough, by now the girl had probably sensed his presence and turned to address him in some way. He stood a respectable distance away from her, standing tall on his five foot seven inches frame, his hands behind his back and posture straight. "A hot day to be going out for a walk, isn't it?" He asked with a curious tone in his voice, an eyeridge arched in her direction.
She didn't know much of anything about construction.
But she didn't really need to, in order to gauge just about how much tarp she would need to cover over the mansion, and act as shade for her group. Imagination was enough to picture what she needed, but what happened at the department store, would be a different thing entirely. She would have to read the labels to see the object's height.
Most likely however, she would just take the product out of the box right there in the store, and gauge for herself by hand. Though a long process, it was better than just investing time with finding someone who she knew would likely just measure things themselves. Something she could do if she had a tape measure, but that was just even more work.
Her mansion was big, but she didn't consider it as large as she knew others had. The reason for moving out here in the first place, was because she could see things getting cramped, and wanted to invest in buying more housing.
Most of her minions double up in a room, and she could see maybe about four more people living here, before she would have to resort to that. She was well aware not everybody wanted to double up, though there was only so much she could pool from her resources, without having to wait a certain period of time. All to abide by somewhat legal affairs.
It didn't take too long to really scope out the sides of the mansion, though one thing she noticed while doing so, was how curtains that would normally be closed up, were now open. Most were the living room or kitchen, but for the second floor, like the room where her cousin resided in, the curtains were also open. A clear presence that it was lively.
Much more than it was a couple of months back. She couldn't really complain, since it was clearly progress from what she had desired, back when it was just her and her Majin servant, where it only steadily progressed from there.
Done with her inspection, a sudden shift in the air pressure, had warned her that something was amiss. She wouldn't say it was as good as the kind of sensing her allies did, but the pressure she felt was enough to know it wasn't just some kind of average human. What she saw was a creature who resembled some kind of humanoid dog. Or maybe wolf?
It looked familiar, but she couldn't really think of the word to describe what type. The accessories it was wearing on the other hand, was enough of an indication for her to know that this had to have been an Anubian. Such apparel was too distinct for it not to. At the moment, he seemed to at least be more well mannered than the last one she met.
Though the assumptions were rather the same. The idea that anyone would take a walk out in this weather, whether he was trying to make a joke or not, was just ridiculous. But she was never really one to come out about what she was thinking. It opened the possibility of being manipulated, and anger, no matter how slight, was the easiest way.
"I have my reasons. Though I'd rather hear what's an Anubian doing around here. Your people aren't exactly a common sight."
A question for a question was how she saw things. The one he asked didn't really require her into answering completely, and the same courtesy went out to him with her own. Though her being aware of what his people was in the first place, might have been interesting enough for him to give a proper answer, rather than going her way.
Convenient as it was that fate seemed to have answered her earlier thoughts about Anubians, and wanting to actually study them this time around, there was usually a precedent, when it came to coming into her mansion.
Many of her prior invitations, extended to being interested in the way conversation was flowing, just as how many was also because she was interested in testing her strength. The latter she would say was the easiest route, though she desired to talk to more people who could hold a conversation, without worrying about how offended she'd be.
At least, when it came to asking questions that didn't involve her age. It had only been once, but that hybrid she had met who didn't want to share his demon heritage, somewhat annoyed her, believing that she wasn't competent to have such resources. Her wealth, as much as she didn't like thinking about it, could have been a lot better.
What resources she currently had to pool from, was the equivalent of a university student borrowing loans for a majority, while the other half was figuratively gambling on things that most people didn't take advantage of.
She would practically be in debt, by the time she had gotten to the position of power she wanted, but that was just the way life was. There were legal things to be paid for, and if she wanted to rule over something, rather than just using her power to destroy it, she had to somewhat abide by the same standards that everyone else did.
If she was correct about this guy being an Anubian, and thus one of the Gods of Destruction, than she could surely pull more information from him, that the cat subspecies didn't want to give her. Such a life, and the supposed power his people had, according to the label of the name alone, must have been nice. Who would make a God abide by rules?
They were the sort to be worshiped, depending on beliefs, but while she was aware of their existence, it didn't mean anything. Given the time, and the long years that she had ahead as a Vampire, surely she could reach that level.
"Ahhh, so you know what I am?" A valid question, not one in need of a detailed answer all things considered but it would be nice to know all the same. Cervez was more intrigued now that this young looking girl knew of his heritage. After all, there weren't many beings in the galaxy that would know what an Anubian was, except perhaps those that could live a long while or heard tales of the God of Destructions. "I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage, Miss. Seeing as I don't know what you are..." His posture didn't change much, but there was a slight narrowing of his eyes as he 'tried' to decipher what she 'was'.
He wondered if she would fall to the bait and explain what she was, or would he have to come out and say it in the open? If was only by meeting that other Vampire long ago that he had become sort of acquainted with the aura that they exuded, one that closely toed the line between living and dead, almost unnatural in its understanding and yet still having a chance to exist in the material world by circumstances long forgotten by the passage of time.
Undead, would be an apt word for it. There were many species in the galaxy that could fall under that category, but the ones that were most know for it were those of Demonic Heritage.
Realizing that he was mentally rambling, he came back to the present just in time to appear like he was merely mulling over how to answer her previous question. "I'm sightseeing, you could say." Not exactly a lie, before coming here he had been flying mindlessly around before her little exodus gathered his attention from his inner musing about his purpose in life. Figuring that there wasn't much harm in giving her a bit more than that, he went on to explain. "I took a long nap and woke up a bit disoriented, been flying around aimlessly for a while before your little gathering piqued my curiosity." She didn't need to know about his existential crisis, after all, it wasn't any of her business.
Rising an eyeridge, he voiced another question, "Need a hand?" Bored, he could admit that he was, perhaps helping her in whatever she desired would alleviate some of the boredom he was feeling. "Now that I awoke from my sleep, I'm feeling kind of stiff, so helping you out should help me in getting rid of the kinks." It was either that or go around beating the hell out of any poor schmuck that no one would miss if they suddenly just up and disappeared from the face of the earth.
Though he'd have to be discreet about it or make sure that there weren't any witnesses around. Another thing he had come to learn on this planet is that some people were known for being really nosy, or just have a bleeding heart that commanded them to go and help anyone in danger. Then again, that was just a natural behavior for the people of this planet, so he couldn't really fault them too much for something that they were born with.
Killing a human at random, or rather any of the sentient races on this planet would prove to be too much effort and not much to gain from it in terms of regaining back his lost strength after his Awakening. So instead he should perhaps focus on the non-sentient races on this floating piece of rock. He guessed that one or two dinosaurs or animals suddenly dying won't draw too much attention from anyone if he played his cards right.
There were also the heinous and the damned to consider: Bandits, for example. These outlaws that caused nothing but harm to the people around them. Surely if he decided to end their lives no one would miss them? Internally shaking his head from his musing, he focused back on the girl.
Trivial as it might have been to be right about something, it was always pleasing to see something play out the way she had thought. Especially when she was making assumptions herself. He could have just been some weird alien that adorned similar accessories to Anubians, or perhaps even be a real demon, who was out of fashion.
The ones she did know were much too human. Something she found rather disappointing, since while not all demons were incapable of thought, the ones who had resemblance to humans, she'd say most had lost touch with their beliefs.
They were called demons for a reason, and those who had morals that didn't involve them being inherently destructive, were the sort she wasn't fond of. Sure they were just one of many, but what was expected of them, she wanted to see.
When it came to alignment, she didn't see herself as neither good or evil. Her decisions had reason to them, which was backed by confidence that she could either pull off what she was planning, or at least wing her way into doing so.
A demon having the morals she expected from them, only meant that she didn't have to care about holding back. They weren't meant to roam amongst the inhabitants of this planet, was how she had saw it. Not because they were different, but it was because she'd imagine most didn't have to abide by the laws that were governing this planet.
She had the capability, and the backing of power to decide such. Possibilities and events which she had taken advantage of, since her time in being a Vampire. It would be simply foolish not to take advantage of this gift.
"And what makes you think I'm more than human?"
While she agreed that they were fragile, for the planet to be around for this long, and having faced off against so many threads over decades, one had to admit that humans had a certain value to them. Who's to say she wasn't human?
There wasn't really any right now that she was aware of, that had done some great feats which would have most definitely take her interest. But she was an unknown for the most part, and that one human she met back in East City, had already proven that she had to have been one of them. That woman was also the only one who wasn't some hybrid.
For the most part so far, this Anubian was questioning her, in a similar way that other one had. From what she could recall, even the idea that her not revealing what she was, as being a disadvantage, had also been brought up.
Revealing such information, wasn't one that would be a loss. Though she wouldn't do it without some good standing on his part. She would feel differently if he continued to play by her hand however, and introduced himself.
Info for info. Although names were a subject that could be easily missed in conversations depending on how things were going. Not even a necessity either, really, since she was able to count the number of his people she met, on one hand.
"Sounds pretty common. The other Anubian I met, who was quite your opposite, mentioned the same."
She had also met that cat here in the wastelands, which was more info she had, that she wouldn't reveal without the right prompting. Whether it was just their culture, or just some excuse, she only knew nothing he had said so far was really surprising. Things were just continuing to go her way, and she only wondered only about how long.
That bit about him taking a nap, she hadn't heard of from the last one, although depending on how honest he was, that could have easily be some kind of story drafted up. A believable one, sure, but nothing she hadn't ever done herself.
Though the fact that he had apparently seen she and her group, before deciding to reveal himself, was rather curious. If not for her own competence to defend both herself, and her allies if needed, she'd have been worried.
"So you're admitting you were watching a group, whose majority are female."
It was more of a statement than a question, and one which she let hung in the air. Either he wouldn't be at all bashful, because he was an alien, or he would, and that opened up a vulnerability. Whichever one it was, it allowed her to see more of his mindset. He was already a lot less crude than the other Anubian she had already met.
That was already a big plus, though nothing that would have truly put her off from handing an invitation. Those currently residing her, would have said that her cousin was worse, hearing about this one's cat equivalent.
If there was anything that would disinterest her into inviting someone in, it was either that she had already seen what their species were capable of, or they simply showed their thinking didn't align the way she would like.
The latter was surprisingly more rare, for the number of hybrids she knew to roam this earth. Nice as it was to have a mix of cultures, she felt that hybrids were weaker than they would be, if they were just purely one thing.
And that was with the consideration of different upbringings, seeing as how certain mix of hybrids, she couldn't exactly see getting along. That man she met awhile back, who was both Saiyan and Demon, was an example of that.
Though not yet fully developed in the cognitive area, confirmation from her Majin servant, went on to prove that her Saiyan servant, would likely have been glad to kill a demon. Though she didn't really doubt it went both ways.
"I'd appreciate the offer, but I'm more than competent at handling my own affairs."
She really just needed to go to the department store now. A task that she could do either later, or the next day. It wasn't really a purchase that needed urgency. Those who lived with her usually stayed within the mansion anyway.
Not to mention how simple what she wanted do was. Though if he was looking to get his blood flowing better, a spar would really suffice in doing so. She wasn't exactly impressed yet, but she wasn't going to pass up an opportunity.
"If you wish to ease your discomfort, I propose a spar in my gravity room. Just be aware you'll be barred from using ki attacks, unless you're willing to pay for the damages on the walls."
One thing she had in mind for a planned project, was constructing a Colosseum. She doubted it would be able to move once it was placed, like some Capsule Corp related products, but it was a lot better than the limits the walls of her mansion could take. If ki attacks weren't just so strong and capable, she would actually allow it in these spars.
But there wasn't many ways to get around it, unless he wanted to accept a blast being thrown at him. She could more than handle a couple. Though whether or not he could say the same, she only knew the pressure he gave off was low.
"Ah ah ah," Cervez smirked cheekily at her question, idly lifting a hand and used a finger to tap the side of his nose. "That would be telling, now would it?" It was time to withhold a bit of information from her, this odd game of twenty questions, or so he heard it in passing by some gossiping gals walking across West City, was rather fun at the moment. Though he wondered for how long he could stretch it until she showed some signs of annoyance or aggravation?
Humans or rather all creatures in the galaxy were curious by default, they desired knowledge and information for different purposes, it just so happened that some species took this a bit more to the extreme spectrum than others.
Her statement just made him more curious about this young looking girl, having met another Anubian and come out of it unscathed was no small feat if they so happened to be in a bad mood. Unless it was an Awoken one, and not one from days of old, if that was the case it would explain why she was still here today and looking no worse for wear.
Blinking at her question, which didn't sound much like one, to begin with, he couldn't help but slightly tilt his head to the side, like a common earth dog would when faced with something that confused it. "That is correct." He straightened his posture again, and shrugged one shoulder in an almost devil-may-care why; not exactly seeing what was so bad about her statement just now until it finally struck him after a bit of thought.
Chuckling good-heartedly, he waved away her concerns. "Ah, I see what you mean now. You needn't worry, I have no need for the desire of the flesh that they could offer me." Narrowing his eyes at her, he muttered in a somewhat cold tone. "Please don't think of me as someone that preys upon the young, the mere thought is actually... revolting." Faking a shiver going down his back and flicking his tail behind his back, the Anubian shook his head clear from those thoughts.
"Besides," He shrugged his shoulders again. "Us Anubians cannot interbreed with the other races that dot the galaxies, we can only reproduce with other Anubians." Another piece of information for the Miss Vampire, perhaps that would act like a soothing balm in the case she took offense from his previous cold nature just now.
He merely nodded at her disinterest for some help, if she didn't want his assistance then he won't press the issue any further. A pity, that would mean that after this conversation he'd have to go out and devise a way to get rid of the excess energy that accumulated from his long nap.
Shouldn't be too much of a problem if everything worked accordingly, now should he go and scout for any scoundrels or should he go ahead and hunt down the fauna that this place had to offer. The latter sounded a bit more appealing because with all this energy bubbling inside of him, it also brought forth a ravenous hunger that seemed almost unending. That could be a solution that should kill two birds with one stone, by hunting down an animal he'd get his exercise and then he could eat the spoils and sate his hunger.
It was beginning to sound like a wonderful idea as the seconds ticked by, and he was about to give the girl his farewell until she stopped him cold with her invitation of a spar. He regarded her for a few seconds, thinking about her offer and mulling it over before nodding his head slowly. "A nice offer, all things considered. I don't necessarily have much knowledge on physical techniques, but I'll make do." He couldn't really use most of his arsenal with this restriction, but he could still use one of his techniques if he ever got close enough to tag her with that technique.
Withholding information about her being more than human, was hardly anything she would call an advantage. As many feats as her former species had achieved, many of them had taken years, which she could do in only months.
Not being a human was more of a good thing, than a bad one, ignoring how she now had to frequently get into bouts. But if he really wanted to believe he had something over her, than who was she to oppose? At least for something like this. There were far more topics she could think of that had more value to it, than being more than human.
This belief of his wasn't enough to annoy her, though it did certainly make her think longer about what she revealed. If he was really intelligent enough to keep track of what she said, it meant she had to pace herself more.
Nothing she would have issues with, knowing her patience when it came to getting what she wanted. Her proof were her two conservative servants, whose morals contrasted against her own. Training them was difficult but they had worth.
Most things in life tended to seem like it wasn't worth the effort, because of the time that can go into doing something. Value came in different forms however, that for the most part, it was better to just fully go through with a decision. Much like how she had realized her mistake with her statement, listening to the Anubian's response.
The moment he had said something that was way off course to what she had meant in the first place, a tinge of pink touched her pale skin, and her eyes snapped shut in a bit of a frown. When she had pointed out he had been watching a group of mostly girls, with the exception of her Suppidoan ally, she meant a group of high schoolers.
As in, what interest did he have with a bunch of highschool girls? Yes, it was unusual to be out here in the wastelands, but for him to admit he hesitated in revealing himself to highschool students? That was what she was referring to. His people were supposedly Gods of Destruction, weren't they? So why of all things did he...
The rest of his words were lost on her as her eyes opened back up, shortly after she had closed it. Her fangs were retracted out of her mouth, though it had been completely unintentional, and something she retracted back inside.
What he said was just so appalling. Being an alien wasn't a good excuse in being ignorant about earth culture. She was far from being that sort of age. It was also much too human and vulnerable for someone with her aspirations.
The cold attitude she had caught him in, as she appeared like she was listening, but was really doing her hardest to drown out his explanation, was nothing compared to her annoyance. One which was directed more to herself.
"You're mistaken about what I was referring to. My intentions were to question why a supposed God of Destruction hesitated in revealing himself in front of high school students."
She couldn't even tell of her intentions, without briefly closing her eyes again. She just really had on her mind how someone with his heritage could just jump to private desires. Supposedly powerful but with that kind of mindset. She had really been wrong about him being like that other Anubian. This was a clear difference.
His acceptance to her proposal was another one. While she didn't think he would be as crude as that other Anubian, she did think that that getting him to agree, would have been more difficult. Though nothing she would bother to question.
"Of course, another route would be taking the blasts to avoid damages to the wall. At least, for the first few attempts."
In that case, it would be something akin to Russian Roulette, or saying uncle. Though she much preferred getting to hit people herself, rather than just relying on ki blasts to do so. But that was only her take, when it came to development. Leading him towards the front of the mansion, she had entered in the digits to the keypad.
They had been out here long enough for her servants to carry out their usual tasks. Most of them also possessed the better sensing that she lacked. Beyond her three allies, as well as her own cousin, the rest of her minions were usually tasked with either preparing the food, or greeting her at the door. Both of which she highly enjoyed.
It had always been something that she enjoyed having for herself, and now it was an everyday thing for her. She had made it an everyday thing for herself. This was time and effort she spent into building this image for herself.
The lock on the door clicked and the tapping of more keypads happened within. Though she was greeted by the sight of both the pigtailed red-head, and the fairly light-haired brunette slightly bowing to her with smiling faces.
The differences in their apparel were pretty obvious. While Mayu had wore the maid uniform she usually changed into, Asuka had an apron and chef's hat. This was the reason that despite their morals, she was glad to have them around.
"Welcome back, Lady Rukia."
Both of them had said it simultaneously, although Asuka, having quickly finished typing in the code to the door, had been the one to step slightly in front of the other girl. So she was going to lead the introductions again. Fine.
"We're excited to see the both of you spar, but Sayako wants to be the one to face him first."
The tone in her voice was gentle, but enthusiastic as usual, that smile of the brunette never leaving, as the girl's head and hands followed along with the respectful energy that was being given off. Then a hand had been placed behind the other girl's back, where she silently watched the comfort for the red-head's rather clear nervousness.
"A-ah, the gravity machine has already been turned onto ten, and today we have for you some hearty oyakudon."
Compared to the brunette, the red-head's tone was not nearly as confident, and her face didn't hide that worry either. The way things were said, it sounded like the girl wanted someone to save her from doing this next introduction.
"Would you care for a massage or a beverage? I can attend to it as soon as I check on Ayumi-sempai."
Well the red-head had gotten her wish. She was fully pulled to the side by the brunette, who gave the rest of their daily speech. The shaking that came from the red-head, slight as it was, had at least improved since meeting them.
"I'll pass, thank you. Though if our guest wants anything we'll be heading straight towards the gravity room."
Once again, the two girls had bowed, and she led the Anubian straight down the hall. There wasn't a need to look back, to know that the brunette was likely comforting the red-head in a hug, telling the girl how she did great, and how the two should keep practicing. It was so human to really hear that kind of thing. This place had really changed.
"How long am I supposed to stir this thing?"
Even while walking straight down the hall, instead of entering through the kitchen first, she could hear more of her minions talking in the distance. Ayumi's voice had been the most noticeable, and the girl who dubbed herself as a hall monitor, was likely leaning over to look at instructions, which Hana was just as likely holding up in the girl's face.
"I don't care. Just tell them to give me a side dish or something."
The hall they were going down, and turns that they were making, would pass both the kitchen and the living room, where she could hear her cousin's voice with the latter. She was no doubt bossing the Suppidoan around, while her Saiyan ally was somewhat loudly playing a game, judging by the volume of the TV. Knockout Fighter from what she could recall.
Her Majin ally should have already been in the gravity room. Throughout the walk, from both the door and where they were now on the lower floor, the Anubian had an opportunity to talk, and along with it she had responses.
But things were still information for information.
Embarrassment fell like a weapon of the Gods, capricious as they are.
It was a torment for the meek, the ones not bold enough to be immune to its clutches. The undaunted just toughed it out, not laughing with the crowd but looking nonchalant, superior despite their mishap. They left with composed faces, sighing like the others were immature to find it funny at all. But for Cervez once he realized what the Vampire truly had meant, it was cataclysmic; his face burned bright enough to outshine the sun and his mind scattered like stars when a planet exploded.
The Anubian found a bit of gratification that the girl at least seemed as uncomfortable as he was and also showing a bit of her vampiric side with how her fangs were out on full display; not by her conscious choice, however, perhaps a byproduct of her ruffled emotions coming to the surface?
Hesitantly, he nodded once he was sure his face wasn't trying to imitate a beetroot. "I see. Forgive my previous assumption then." Brushing the previous embarrassment aside, the Anubian instead focused on answering her previous question correctly now that he knew what she had meant by it. "Now that I know what you meant, I can answer correctly. I was curious that even though they were 'high school students', they still were marginally stronger than some of the humans I've met in my stay on this planet." Locking his eyes with the girl, he raised an eyeridge at her, his embarrassment from previously long forgotten now.
"With you being the most powerful of the lot," He let the statement hang there for a few seconds before moving on. "No pain, no gain; or so the saying goes, wouldn't you agree?" Small talk, he heard being spoken with contempt by some of the young adults on this planet, the word being uttered almost like it was the foulest curse that their language had created, their behavior for such a simple word vexed him so until he decided that the people on this planet were simply weird, and moved on.
Silently, he followed the girl, standing back a few paces behind her so he wouldn't loom too much nor invade her personal space like an uneducated cur. He watched curiously as they reached the door and she began to toy with a keypad of sorts attached beside the doors that would lead inside the mansion. Sometimes the highly advanced technology that this planet had surprised him, mainly the complex and intricate Androids, dead but still alive beings made of pure technological advancement that dotted this planet, he had seen walked to and fro inside the cities, but especially West City.
The door clicked then, but still remained closed as more sounds happened within, but in the next moment, it finally came open as two girls stood there and bowed to the Vampire, one "Lady Rukia", at least he now had a name to call her by. 'Yet she still doesn't know my name,' He mused to himself, wondering if he should come forth and address the fact before brushing it aside, perhaps later he'd do so.
He watched as the girls addressed the girl like one would to their Master, and perhaps Rukia was really their Liege, and they their loyal vassals. Perhaps the rest of the girls inside this mansion were on the same page, it would slightly give him a picture for him to piece the jigsaw of why Rukia decided to plant her mansion right in the Wastelands instead of in the City.
An expansion, perhaps? When a place was overly saturated, the choice was obvious to go and expand your territory or business elsewhere and try for better pastures, or so the saying went. In any case, when the question was brought forth if he'd want anything, he shook his head. "I'm fine for now, thanks for the offer." That done, the two kept walking towards the Gravity Chamber, though his large pointed ears twitching slightly as he caught the voice of the brunette comforting the red-head behind them, the brown-haired girl assuring the other that she did a good job. "She is still new about this, I take it?" He asked curiously, the red-head was still either not accustomed to this way of life or she had been brought into this very recently. Normally a Liege would get already trained vassals, subjects that from a very early age were explained what was expected of them and the consequences that would ensue if they ever stepped out of line or did a blunder while in the presence of their Masters.
But judging by how Rukia didn't seem to care or address it one way or another, it seemed like a fairly common occurrence, and one that didn't seem to bother her in the slightest, or so he thought.
They took twists and turns as they passed through the kitchen instead of going through it, and looking through the living room as they pass it, he could see someone, possibly another one of the girls though he couldn't begin to guess who, playing a game on the television and quite loudly at that.
Seeing a perfect moment to finally introduce himself, the male cleared his throat before saying. "Apologies for early, I should have introduced myself sooner." Mock bowing slightly with his right hand on his left pectoral, he smiled at the Vampire. "The name's Cervez, a naturally born Hakaishin, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss...?" He trailed off so that the Vampire could introduce herself if she so wished, but if she didn't want to then it was no skin off his nose.
"May I inquire about this Sayako person?" If he could gather some intel about his sparring partner then perhaps he'd be able to respond appropriately once the match began. After all, it was unwise to go into battle with your eyes blinded, as doing even one small blunder could mean victory for your opponent.
The explanation that the Anubian had given was well in-depth, and although she had done her best to block out most of what he had said, she got enough of an image in her head, about the private moments he was referring to.
She wanted to believe that those she were close to in her more personal life, had the restraint not to do anything they might later regret. The same had went for her minions, most of who she believed were too busy entertaining each other, to really focus on such matters. She couldn't even see her cousin, crude as she was, rushing such things.
As far as she was concerned, the moment had passed upon her correction, and needed no further addressing. Though she wasn't going to oppose hearing an apology, even if what it was associated with, was the last thing on her mind.
"For the most part."
What compliments he had were rather lost on her, in possessing any sort of appeal. Like the phrase he was using, which she thought was misplaced, when comparing the strength she had over her teammates, flattery wasn't going to get anywhere. In her eyes, it was nothing more than a way to manipulate a person than be recognition for their feats.
But that also wasn't anything she would really oppose hearing. The trip around and inside of the mansion, filled what silence she had chosen to leave, as she was greeted by her two servants, who addressed her the way she expected.
It revealed her name to the Anubian, but the information was too trivial for her to really be concerned with, just like that slip of her fangs. If she didn't openly state it, then it was something that would be revealed eventually.
She didn't see it as a loss, and that was what mattered the most. The fact that they were in her mansion, and would be using her facilities, was more than proof that she was being given an opportunity to go about things her way.
Him fighting the Majin first, would allow her to witness the way he fought, regardless of how many techniques he had. What she wanted to see the most of those she invited within the mansion, was if she could drive them to desperation.
People acted differently when they were cornered, to the point where they could become incapable of thought. In her past observations however, it was mostly just driving them to exhaustion that she only managed to be able to achieve.
A mere substitute, but it was appealing nonetheless, being able to outlast those with a better physique, or genes that should have made them superior. But they were mostly also all hybrids, so goes to show what thinning blood could do.
"Several months. But they cook and clean, so it's nothing to oppose of."
That was the thing about the red-head that she wasn't really fond of. Without knowing beforehand, one could hardly tell with the girl's personality, that she improved at all. Made it seem as though the girl was inexperienced, which true as it was, there was a difference between just how much, before it couldn't be distinguished from incompetence.
Something for her to work on in the future in speeding up the girl's developments, but not a priority for now. She had yet to face danger that she couldn't handle. Her own interests were also a lot more important than her minions.
Continuing to walk through the mansion, her focus continued to be more on leading the way, than starting any topics of conversation. One which the Anubian seemed to have no trouble in filling, as he went onto introduce himself.
Though it had also came with the question of what her own name was. A piece of information he should have caught back at the front door. Was this his way of making it feel even? Her intentions were never to get even, but to establish what were facts, and what weren't. To even play with the idea that he hadn't even heard, was just ridiculous.
"I'm sure you must have heard at the front, but I can address so again. It's Rukia."
That expression that it was a pleasure to meet someone, was just so commonly said. And each time it had, she couldn't help but think back to how these people had got their invitations to her mansion in the first place.
The Anubian was far from being as crude as that other one, though she still needed more of a gauge to truly measure what she thought. All she knew for sure, was this questions were better than those she invited in the past.
"Most of my guests usually happen to be hybrids, which can be quite disappointing. So many of them have either lost touch, or seem to be unaware of their heritage."
What future minions she wanted to recruit, or at least envisioned, she wanted them to be visibly alien, and a clear character of what they were. Hybrids weren't exactly deal breakers for her, but they would have less of a place.
The question of who Sayako was, had came to light as they reached the outside of the gravity room, which noise was sealed inside. It was better to see for himself, than really explain. Majins were pretty common after all.
"You'll see."
Opening the door to the room, there was none of the sounds of training, which she had gotten used to a few months back. Ever since she had started allowing her allies to fight their guests for her first, they've been eager to save their energy. A decision she saw as wise, although simultaneously wished could have also been otherwise.
It wasn't just her guests that she wanted to see exhausted after a fight, but her minions as well. That was how it was certain they would push themselves to last, and a big indicator that there was improvement being had.
Walking in however, and into the gravity's range, which only made her shoulders twitch, the Majin had been waiting against the wall. A frown was on the girl's face, which was rather different than the good-natured smile her people were apparently known for. If she hadn't really met other Majins before meeting her, she wouldn't have believed it.
"So this is one of those Gods of Destruction? Doesn't seem like much to me."
What the girl was saying was all talk. They knew full well that those they met in the past, were more than competent. If anything it was just too egg the Anubian on in possibly revealing some kind of hidden power he had.
Though she doubted the girl would really care whether or not he did or didn't. A fight with someone who wasn't her, or one of their allies, was just what the Majin wanted, in order to avoid falling into a routine that bored the girl.
"Whatever. Even without her rule of not using ki, I still wouldn't need it to beat you."
The thing about her minions and allies were, was that she didn't completely care about their attitudes. If she wanted to appease someone, which was rarely the case, then she would have made it obvious that was her intentions to them.
The Majin's bravado as she went up to them, not even showing any signs of struggling against the ten times gravity, was an example of that. If he felt himself so offended, or wanted to prove her wrong, he had the choice to.
"You two will be fighting until I call the match. Just try not to throw each other at the walls."
While the room was sizable enough to avoid being slammed into them a habit, with the right force, or simply just being pushed back, it was pretty easy to get close to one of the other ends of the room. She had gestured for them to start after arching an eyebrow to see if the Anubian was ready, before cleanly dashing straight towards the exit.
There were afterimages left behind in her wake, but she didn't really make much more of an effort beyond that. There wasn't a need to. It was only after the fight had started, did the Majin begin by stretching out her arms.
The speed by which it was done, wasn't as fast as she knew the girl would usually do them, though nothing she would really blame for. It demonstrated the girl knew to test who she was going up against first, than really trying.
She didn't expect any less.

"I heard it loud and clear, Miss Rukia," Cervez stopped his bow and straightened back up to his full height. "But it's polite to at least formally ask, isn't it?" He chuckled under his breath, indeed it was polite to at least receive the answer from the lips of the owner itself, instead of hearing it from other sources that might make the truth become muddled and distorted. He didn't think that Rukia's vassals would do such a thing, but other people would and that what's mattered in the end.
A piece of information given freely, or at least to keep the conversation going, he mulled over her words for a few seconds before working on a reply for her. "A common situation when races hybridize and the blood becomes more and more diluted as time passes; culminating in a sorry excuse for what might have been a truly powerful race in times of old." He side-eyed the girl curiously for a few seconds before looking back up front. "That aside, there are times when combining two races and making a hybrid can create some of the most powerful beings in the Universe. Like a Demon and a Saiyan, Human and Saiyan, Demon and Human, and all the combinations of powerful races. While Humans can be one of the most fragile races in the galaxy, they have something that makes them stand out greatly..." He trailed off as they finally stopped moving after a while of walking.
Stopping in front of the Gravity Chamber's door, the Anubian finished his previous statement before they were due to enter. "The ability to adapt, and the sheer determination to keep on living." The door opened shortly, and in the two went, the Anubian not even taking a few steps inside the room before the increased gravity slammed down on his shoulders. Grunting a the effort that he was now faced with to stand, which he wouldn't have too much of a problem if he didn't have his heavyweights on, the Anubian closed his eyes and focused internally before releasing ten percent of his true power, his form outlined briefly with a violet aura as his power rose gradually.
Opening his eyes after the glow stopped, the Anubian couldn't help the frown that stretched across his lips. 'To think that I needed to release 10% of my power to withstand gravity ten times that of Earth's... Pitiful.' It only cemented the fact that at the current moment in time, he was weak and thusly couldn't hold his job as an Entity of Destruction with such a meager power level. He needed to regain his old power back and fast.
Perhaps this spar in weighted gravity might help him, in the long run, to achieve that in a short order.
Turning back to the real world, the Anubian's eyes found a being that he had seen walking around Earth on a few occasions but never had the chance to speak to them. "Ahh, a Majin, interesting." A rather durable race, he heard they were hailed as Demon Gods from days of old, and with the dangerous ability to absorb anyone into their psyche and steal their powers at the same time...
Truly a race too dangerous to let roam around freely with no leash...
'Then again, any race has the potential to cause havoc across the world, even something as 'weak' as a human can cause quite the shift in the balance.'
Her confidence was admirable but foolish. While it was clear that even with his power released by ten percent, she still held the playing field to her advantage, she needed to know that in any moment the balance could shift and spell trouble for her. "Hubris could be your downfall, Majin." He replied stoically, his face not really changing expression from the default "Resting Bitch Face" it normally fell under. "There's an Earth saying that I heard a while back, it went kinda like this..." His posture didn't change much from his straightened posture and his hands behind his back, though his demeanor became a bit colder and serious than before.
"Put your money where your mouth is."
Rukia's voice made him shift his gaze slightly so he could acknowledge her presence, though he never left the Majin out of his sight. "Understood." He could deal with that simple rule, he didn't care if he won or not, so long as he managed to get rid of the restless energy bubbling inside of him, he would consider this a battle well fought.
The Majin girl wasted no time as soon as Miss Rukia left, her arms stretched to great proportions as they aimed to hammer him around. He merely stood there with his eyes narrowed before all he knew was pain. He grunted harshly as the attack rammed him almost straight through the other side of the Chamber, the Anubian having made no effort to dodge at all, as he wanted to gauge how strong the girl was, and it annoyed him slightly that she seemed to have held back greatly from what he could feel.
Spitting to the side a glob of phlegm and blood, the Anubian stood straight once again and faced his opponent. "You're strong, stronger than me, this is a fact." One that as soon as he could he'd rectify immediately. "Though it doesn't mean the end of this fight." It would be so easy to level the playing field, to take off his heavyweights and unleash seventy-five percent of his true power, but really, where was the fun in that?
Silently, the Anubian lifted a hand, palm facing the girl as he began to concentrate a small amount of his energy in it, and with a push of his hand, he let it fly towards her as an invisible wave of compressed air filled with his energy. It wouldn't damage the surrounding walls as it wasn't the normal beam technique you see almost everyone use these days, so Miss Rukia shouldn't worry about having to hire someone to fix her Gravity Machine.

What he saw as formal, had been the reason a lot of her guests had declined to either ask her something meaningful, or give their opinion of the way she ran things. An issue which it seemed that he didn't have, listening to him.
Whether or not everything he said, would be something she would continue to disagree with, it was difficult to tell. She only knew that his words had reason behind them, even if they weren't really the best kind of reasons.
"Believe what you want, but I prefer not to be deluded of what was already established."
The thing about names was, an introduction actually wasn't needed at all. One could go a whole day of talking to someone and not know their name, or maybe even come across an event where a mutual friend had said it first.
It was really only confirmation left in the open for discussion, but even that wasn't really needed, going with the latter situation. So what she had personally thought wasn't too far off. What she had admitted about a majority of her past guests being disappointing, seemed to be leading to another disagreement. One which distinguished three groups.
She had already met one of the three groups, and while in theory the combination should have produced something more strong, she didn't think it was quick enough to see results. Though upbringing likely also had to do with it.
"I've already met a Demon/Saiyan hybrid, and one who had to at least be in his twenties. While you might be right about the combinations, this man's upbringing led to me not being impressed."
Hiding the obvious half of his heritage, had been the factor she found the most off-putting. While the man hadn't exactly been old enough to be considered wise, he had more years of experience to get over something like bad blood.
The fact that he hadn't, likely would make any future developments he was apart of, more like growth that she should have been the one experiencing. But people tended to grow at different rates, so it wasn't anything too shortcoming.
"You sound impressed, but those feats can be done by a cockroach."
It wasn't meant as an insult, but rather stating facts. She might have been human once, though having tasted what having power was, she had no qualms at all with admitting an inferior race when she had seen one. It was only persistence, like a cockroach's habit of trying to keep themselves clean, that was really keeping the race alive.
"Just think about the number of species that have a resemblance to humans. Saiyans, without their tail and physique, would be strikingly similar. Humans are just limited in comparison. A base to borrow from."
All the other races with uncanny resemblances, had just as much potential in performing the feats that he had listed. She couldn't really agree for the most part that humans had value. To her, they were just waiting to be upgraded.
There wasn't much said about the Majin, when she had revealed who his opponent would be. Just that it was interesting. Musings which she didn't really need to comment on, just like how her servant could go and speak for herself.
Judging by the Anubian's words, he had seemed to be baited into believing the Majin's bravado. Not a surprise, seeing as how it was natural for the other girl, whose hardened expression was quite similar to the one the Anubian wore.
Another earth saying had been spoken, although this time, its use was correct. This habit of his somewhat reminded her of the Supidoan ally she had, and his speeches. Only it wasn't as annoying, perhaps because it was lacking in the energy that she was used to from the blue alien, or maybe even because he was simply just a stranger.
"Just be mindful we'll be at leisure when you two are done. I tire of how many of my past guests have declined the offer, and insist on fighting me right after."
His acceptance to her conditions hadn't been difficult at all, and she saw an opportunity to address an issue, which she wanted to make a change of, now that she had staff to cook for her at a designated schedule. Such persistence, while she had never opposed it in the past, was really a routine she didn't desire, as it didn't cater to her needs.
Just who exactly were they trying to impress? Part of it might have been courtesy, although those who had those of kind of reasons, were the sort she would say she would regret giving an invitation out to. It wasn't intruding, if she was really making the offer. There should have been no pride mixed into the offer at all. That wasn't even the point.
From her position in the entrance, where she had rested her back against the wall as she watched, she saw each of the Majin's strikes made contact with the Anubian's body, who just stood there. The smell of blood had then wafted into the air, and she couldn't help but retract her fangs out. For a Vampire like her, the scent was just heavenly.
Enough to only make her partially question why he was just standing there, Which was just answered by the Anubian anyway. He wasn't strong enough compared to the Majin, which from the blood in the air, she could tell was true.
His strength she would say was 50% lower than the pink-fleshed girl, and a lot lower than her own. A fact that had both her and the Majin sharing similar expressions. While hers was a smile that had been more malicious with these fangs out, the other girl had given a smirk. This bit of information would really feed the Majin's ego.
"Says the one bleeding from his mouth. Or are you going to say it's just a scratch?"
The Majin's limbs were being reeled back as the girl had said this, where she had noticed several bruises on the girl's fist, which had simply been formed over by new skin, and leaving it spotless again. Although from the expressions she had seen while the punches were being delivered, she knew the girl had felt that stinging pain.
What distance there was between both the Anubian and the Majin, hadn't changed that much from the start of the match, seeing as how the other girl had stretched out her limbs to hit her opponent. Though seeing the Anubian raise his hand, the first thing the Majin had done was took off. A decision that seemed to have been a bad idea.
The girl had clearly been struck by some kind of invisible wave of air. She recognized that it was similar to the one the Namekian she had invited months back, had used. The full force of the attack seemed to have been hit the Majin, who was kept from being sent flying back, only because the girl deformed her feet into mass that stuck to the ground.
Though it might have just seemed like air, the expression on her servant's face indicated it could deal pain. More bruises had formed on the girl's body, reaching her elbows this time, instead of just the front of her fists.
These also hadn't been reformed over by new skin, indicating that the Majin had really gotten damaged. As soon as the attack had seemed to be over though, her servant had charged forward again, this time throwing out regular punches.
The Majin was likely willing to take more hits, if it meant she could push forward into dealing more herself. She couldn't really see the girl dodging, though she could see the girl blocking, and using tha to push through.
What the Vampire had said was indeed the truth, any race had the potential to do what he said Humans were capable of, even something as lowly as a cockroach could do it, which now that it was brought into the equation seemed to make humans lesser in his eyes. After all, as she just stated, they were merely a base to borrow from, like an empty canvas that the universe filled with more colors and backgrounds with the other humanoid races in the galaxy.
It was a wonder that this race managed to withstand the passage of time, but not evolve at all from its base form, so what made the human race so impervious? Perhaps he would never find an answer to that question, not that he was even trying too hard to find it in the first place. In the back of his mind, he wondered why he even tried to defend the human race, to justify its existence to the Vampire, perhaps he just wanted to hold one up against her? Or just present another case to her argument?
No, he could see it now; the reason that he tried was because he felt pity. Pity to a race that seemed lesser and insignificant compared to the other more powerful beings that dotted the galaxy. Pity because they had the potential to truly become something great, and yet seemed stagnant in their ways to stay as they are. Pity because they couldn't evolve from their base form and become something else, something more, something that mattered in the grand scheme of things.
It was curious, that a being such as he would even find in himself to feel pity for a race such as the humans. As an Entity of Destruction, his job required him to always be impartial and to carry out his duty as the Balance commands it. There was no room for error, no room for hesitation nor remorse for his actions.
So why was he feeling this way? A small part of him mused that perhaps he was starting to get soft, or rather, he was becoming benevolent and magnanimous.
How droll, many would think that a God of Destruction would be an all-consuming monster that wanted nothing but the world to be ravaged by fire, death, and chaos until there was nothing but ashes drifting in the void of space. In many cases, they would be correct in their assumptions, but most of the time they would be wrong, of course, their misconception of how a God should behave was nothing short of preposterous, who were they to make such claims and lay their expectations on a God?
Getting heated by his own thoughts wouldn't do him any good, so he discarded them to the side to gloss over at his leisure for later. He made no move to acknowledge Miss Rukia's demand, for that was what it was in the end, a demand to stand down and rest after the battle was truly over. Why should he act foolish and go against it when it was so easily offered? After all, relaxing was always a good thing, it helped the body heal and recover energy at a leisure rate, going into battle when you were still smarting with wounds from a previous fight was not only unbelievably idiotic but also completely reckless.
Like what the Majin girl did just now, instead of raising a shield or meeting his attack with one of her own, she decided to face it head on, why in fact rush straight toward it herself! Foolish girl, if the attack had been stronger, it could have legitimately ended her life...
Then again, they were just sparring until they were told to stop, not until one of them died, it wasn't like he could also kill her with the way he was now either, so his 'concern' was moot. At least his technique managed to slow her down somewhat, even cause lacerations to appear across her skin before they were washed away, interesting physiology these Majins have, though it could become troublesome the longer this fight went on.
Fist began to fly at him at speed, and he was hard pressed to even dodge or counter any of them, in fact, he couldn't do much more than grunt in pain as each blow rammed against his purple-furred skin with the force of a sledgehammer, globs of spit and blood flying and coating the ground slowly.
Slighted with the knowledge that he was nothing but a punching dummy at the moment, he quickly thought of a course of action to change the battle to his advantage, if only for a little while, and once he saw it he quickly put his plan into motion. As soon as he saw an opening in the girl's guard, the Anubian darted forward at speed, his right-hand open and ready to grab any part of the girl that was within his reach, should his small gambit prove successful, the Majin will see the error of her ways for getting too close to an unknown variable, as where his hand grabbed will suddenly flash with energy and explode quite violently.
Though, if the fates were not to be, and his attack was missed or blocked without much effort... well, he will burn that bridge once he came to it. It would be a waste of energy, which the girl would capitalize in full, of that he was sure based on the small shows of her personality he just saw. It would just serve to irritate him a little, not her negative comments if she chooses to make them, but the fact that he misspends precious energy that could have served him later on in the fight.

The smell of blood was also different, carrying a sweet aroma that only elicited a small portion of this feeling. What amount was in the air right now, from both the Anubian and the Majin, wasn't enough to make her feel light-headed just yet. She could tolerate the scent fine, just like how she could drink up numerous amount of someone's blood, fine.
Her mood was rather appeased however, as she continued to watch the Majin fight. What had clearly been another taunt from the girl, wanting to bait the dog again, had gone completely ignored. No response had been given, and instead, the Anubian had only continued to take the beatings, spilling more blood out and straight onto the floor.
It was peculiar how the hits just kept being taken. As someone who was alien, but also resembled an animal, his reflexes should have been good enough to dodge or block. Both his arms and physique were proof of that.
Yet, no attempts, as far as she could tell watching from the sidelines, seemed to be made. And the slightest shift in movement, was what she tended to look for when doing these observations. What she had learned to spot, since being a Vampire. She found it interesting, much like how the attacks he had been using lately, seemed to be mostly air.
A trick she had yet to incorporate herself, after seeing the Namekian she invited awhile back, do it, only because of time and lack of interest. If she wanted to go and create a style for herself, it would be based on speed, and visibility. Wanting to have her opponents know what they were going to get hit by, was truly something to savor.
A gateway into driving them, or those around them into desperation. Even with all of the beatings the Anubian was taking, he hadn't shown any signs of breaking either. Something she couldn't say the same for her Majin ally.
"Why. Won't. You. Just fucking dodge."
Each strike the girl had given, which didn't involve stretching her limbs like the last one, seemed to last a bit longer, in what she assumed was meant to really force the Anubian back. It was clear that she was frustrated.
Though her servant was technically the one dealing all of the blows, she was still getting hurt just as much as the dog was. Both from taking the hits that he did deliver, and the punches that the girl were throwing up herself.
The scent of blood was pretty evident, as that pink skin had stopped forming over, and 'washing' away the bruises. As the punches started to die down, the Majin trying to gather her breathing together, the Anubian made his next move.
Her servant's arm was grabbed, which quickly had the Majin deforming that part of her body, before whatever was happening, could happen. That control she had into turning an arm into mass of flesh, was always an astounding sight.
If the Majin was only a bit less self-conscious about her actions, she could no doubt trap someone within her. Least the girl had really came a long way from abhorring the idea of deforming her flesh as part of combat.
A decision that turned out to be a good move, as that part of her body seemed to just explode. She could only make guests about how the girl's body worked, but like when she had deformed her legs to hold herself in place, this decision had likely caused the energy to spread throughout, causing a wave effect that made it hurt much less.
Though it still must have stung just like any other blow, whether it was delivered by her servant or not. While the limb was slowly reforming from the impact, and the other girl had jumped back, rubbing at her visibly bruised arms, she had turned her eye down at her phone. Lunch should have been well ready now, and she had seen plenty enough.
Tapping away on her phone to inform her other servants to bring it here, what happened to the Majin next, was something she would hardly care for. The girl had done the best she could to the Anubian, which is what mattered.
Both were injured, and a nice break would do some good. She had some questions on her mind about what she saw, specifically more about this whole idea about being a supposed God of Destruction, and what he admitted earlier.
It surely couldn't have been some kind of delusion on the dog's part. That other one, who was a lot more crude, had claimed the same position. But recalling back to her encounter with him, she hadn't been impressed back then either.
This likely had to be a cultural thing for them. Though if he was really going to go around and claim that he was a god of anything, the Anubian really needed to understand admitting weakness wasn't a good idea in being convincing.
His attack, while it didn't do too much damage as he had hoped, but only because of the Majin girl fast reflexes and quick thinking, but it still seemed to have caused a moderate amount of damage, given by how she was now on her guard and nursing her most recent wound, alongside the lacerations on her skin from having hit him so much for the past ten minutes. Panting, slightly out of breath after that punishment and for using so much energy too fast, the Anubian took advantage of the brief reprieve for a few precious seconds before they had to battle again.
Her question, rather a statement more than a query, deserved an answer all things considered. Indeed, why wasn't he dodging? The answer was pretty simple, he couldn't, not with the way things were currently. She had the upper hand in being the stronger party at the moment and thusly her blows were coming in fast and hard, even with his canine physiology he was hard pressed the entire battle to do anything besides taking it with as much nonchalant as he could muster.
There was also another reason for such an inaction: Exhausting his opponent on wasting all their energy or hurting themselves as they keep hammering at him. Try as anyone in the galaxy might to act all pride and haughty when they beat someone down, the fact still remained that they tired themselves out little by little, and hitting something also hurt them as well, it just so happened that some fighters learned how to ignore it and keep going because they learned how to push it as something unimportant at the back of their minds.
Still, the silence was all good and well until a certain point, now that she was truly frustrated and in a weak point, perhaps he should poke and prod until she became enraged? It was worth a shot, and no one could ever say that a God couldn't be snide. "The answer to that is simple," Straightening back up, the Anubian locked his gaze with the Majin girl as the ghost of a smirk twitched at the corner of his lips. "There is no need for it."
He hummed under his breath for a second before taking a battle stance, his feet firmly planted on the ground and muscles coiled tightly, his body language practically screamed that he was ready to lunge at her at any moment now. But he didn't, instead, his aura began to shine as he released twenty-five percent of his true power and bringing it to the surface, his speed and strength doubling from what it was before.
"I'm using 25% of my true power," Cervez announced in lieu of filling the silence. "It might not do much, but let's see, shall we?" His eyes narrowed slightly as his frame lowered for a second, and in the next moment he shoot off like a bullet towards the Majin girl, his fists, and legs flying to damage any part of the Majin's body that he could reach.

Took her blows head on, externally he's nonchalant but internally he's feeling the pain accumulating as the seconds go by.
Her text was sent out to a group conversation, which was loosely for her to call on one of them, though wasn't opposed to it being a regular group chat. Nothing she would really find herself interested in reading however, and skimming through the latest messages, her cousin was the one who had seen its use the most. Nothing unusual.
The red-head had absolutely no issues with treating both the more alien, and the human minions she had, as the servants they really were. People who could be treated the way the girl liked, and all because they were related.
Yui had actually been the one to answer her, informing her that she would send Ayumi and Hana, because the two were being annoying. According to her cousin, what had began as those two cleaning dishes, turned to an event where while setting aside portions for her and her guests, the brunette of the two had wanted to do a pantry check.
A favorite of the self-proclaimed hall monitor of the mansion was running low on supply, causing the girl to look for a pen without even asking around, not having realized that it'd be easier to just write a note on a phone.
Even without having been there, she could already picture the other girl's sigh of relief, when she had realized the easier option. So she had this to look forward to hearing from the girl personally in just a little bit.
Pocketing her phone, and looking back at the match, she had found the Anubian claiming that he had only been using about 25% of his true power. Something which had her arching an eyebrow in curiosity at the claim.
So he was saying that he had actually been holding back? All of these hits she had seen him taken, and what had led to the both of them spilling blood, was just that happened because the Anubian wasn't really trying?
That was a strong claim, and as the Majin had countered the dog's punches with her own, going back to using those stretched limbs of hers, she had taken a closer look. The speed that came with the claim, she'd say did back up his words. Though it was far from being on the level of either her, or the Supidoan ally that she had working for her.
For the Majin however, she couldn't really say the same. What energy the girl had already used, along with the hits that were taken and now visible on her skin, she saw was starting to take a toll. Those outstretched arms were relying more on pushing a strike back like a shove, rather than catching one with the Majin's own blow.
Eventually, the pink-fleshed girl's started to slow down, but rather than jump back into defeat, she seemed to have other methods in mind. Deforming the part of her body she was being struck at the most into mass, it would try and tightly grab onto the Anubian like quicksand, assuming the canine hadn't been fast enough to jump back himself.
"I've seen enough. you two can stop."
Whether or not he did or he didn't, she had seen enough of the match to call it to an end. They were going to be at a leisure for a bit, and let wounds that had been taken, adjust to the air, along with normal movements.
Her attention had switched to the door, upon hearing a knock, before its cause had practically bursted in. Rolling in a cart which was covered by the white sheet one might find at a restaurant, had been Ayumi, who stopped the thing in front of her just barely. Following behind her at a normal pace, and wasn't leaning to the side out of breath, was Hana, who carried two chairs. The raven-haired girl did seem to struggle with holding those chairs however.
Though a bit too immediate for her liking, the chairs were placed neatly on different sides, aligning with the dishes, which had dome covers ontop of them. It might have been a bit over the top, but this was the life that she wanted.
"Lady Rukia!"
Apparently having found a second wind, the other brunette had stood up straight, displaying a similar speed to what she had, back when she had only been a fledgling Vampire. From the corner of her eye, it seemed that Hana was pulling out a couple bottles of beverages. If it wasn't fruity, soda, or just plain water, then it was just coffee.
Stuff like alcohol would just be inappropriate for her to have at her age, even if she could easily swipe some. Better to also keep that stuff away from the rest of her servants, if she didn't want to encounter any weird incidents.
"We've ran out of certain supplies I'm fond of. Can we be excused for an hour to get them?"
The other girl had leaned in closer than most normally would, arms clasped together, and moving in a pleading way. She already knew what the girl was so fond of, were bite sized chocolate filled biscuits, which were in the shape of a mascot that still remained popular even today, but the phrasing reminded her of the last time her friends came over.
If not for the rushed, but still coherent way the girl was asking for permission, it likely would have sounded more perverse than it really was. Something which the raven-haired girl seemed to notice, judging from the tinge of pink.
"I..ah..Can bring it down to half an hour...if we..ah...can stop by the book store."
Though one would think the two were similar, listening to the two talk, Hana was a lot different from Mayu. Compared to the red-head, the volume which she spoke at, which carried with it a raspy tone, was completely on purpose.
She had come to learn that the girl just didn't like the idea of straining her voice, more than it was necessary. Not anything that she was really fond of, but the girl was the one who led to her meeting her coven in the first place.
What she thought of the girl was pretty similar to her cousin, though it wasn't the same kind of justification for getting away with things. Though that was more to be said for the brunette, than it really was for her.
Hearing that it would perhaps take an hour to grab a couple of snacks, didn't surprise her in the slightest. The other Vampire's attention span and interest in the most peculiar things, would be enough to entertain the girl in a small room that was just ordinary. To knock that down into a half hour, was more reasonable than it really sounded.
"Do what you want, just make it quick."
The two had bowed their heads before leaving, allowing her to catch more of the impact, ten times gravity had on them. They've been exposed to this kind of weight before, but just not as much as the rest of her allies. So their movements were rather stiff and walking seemed to be more forceful than it would if they hadn't been under extra gravity.
Her eyes had turned back over to the Majin and Anubian, who during her exchanges with her servants, the pink-fleshed girl winded up over to the other end of the wall, where she had kept reforming mass of flesh over injuries.
She had yet to procure herself a healing tank, which was something that was being worked on. Compared to other things she had obtained, like the gravity machine, they were only worth a bit more than this mansion. Most of her funds however, had been poured into accommodating the allies and minions she had living here, which would only grow further.
Through gritted teeth, her Majin ally had stood up, flesh seemingly normal again, though there was likely going more with the girl's body on the inside. Still, coming over to her, she had smirked, after having glanced at the table.
"You're missing a rose."
One of the bottles stored underneath the cart was grabbed, which the girl had took on her slow way out. That should have been insulting, but she knew it was just the girl sulking from being exhausted. She was likely to lie until her body had healed itself. A process which would be rather slow and agonizing, but it was proof there was progress.
Glancing over to the canine, she had taken a seat, unveiling the dome covers, which were simply set aside. For a mansion filled with a large party as hers, oyakodon was by far the easiest to make. It was a mix of ingredients simmered together in a sauce, and served just ontop of rice. Though a single bowl was quite enough for her.
"So, let's talk about this whole 25% power thing, and just exactly what it means to be a God of Destruction."
