Earth, it's been awhile since he had been back here. He had already dropped Komatsu off at the new alliance refuge. However he wanted to have some time to himself. His time home hadn’t been a complete waste however. He found two beings similar to himself, they were angeleans, and apparently natural born ones as well. They had bore the traits of an elemi and a saiyan apparently from their families. He couldn’t tell for sure what it was about the elemi. Something about her just made his heart race. What was that though? Why did he feel that way around her? What was that feeling? It was these times he wished he did have some form of parents around still, at least they could have guided him on what this feeling was and what he could do about it. He just wanted to know why he felt this way around her every time he was near her.
He felt it was risky having sent her brother to infiltrate Nasu’s group, but truthfully he was the best pick. Being a saiyan angelean would give him the perfect cover of fitting in with them. He couldn’t go himself, Nasu would recognize him immediately, and he didn’t feel comfortable sending Ulixes. He wanted to try and be nice to what he supposed was now his fellow species members? He took her here to Lost Lanes Peak. He was trying to show her more of the world, since from what she had told him, she and her family had been rather reclusive over the passing years. He always heard of some for the beautiful sunsets you could see on these peaks. An old advice from an old elemi friend of his. He did miss her, but he couldn’t worry about her anymore. Wherever she was, hopefully she was living a normal life, a happy life now.
As he gazed down at his arm, he couldn't’ help but grasp how he looked eighteen for a seventeen year old. He was still trying to grasp this information on how his warrior body was designed to age faster than what was considered normal. It was hard to believe Ulixes had been in an eighteen year old body now for what? Seven years? That was insane quite frankly to think about. Almost a pain trying to compensate it all. “Still not got a full hold on it yet?” Chris would hear from behind him as he would turn to see his black haired friend walking over in her dark midnight black cloak. “Can’t say that I do, it’s quite a lot of information to get adjusted to that's for sure.” Chris would say in a subtle way as he sat back staring over the peak. “So much is happening as of lately, heck I still have to keep myself from showing out too much so Nasu’s group doesn’t get the idea yet that I’m still alive.” Chris would say with a sigh as he kept his arm still leveled as he kept glancing onto them. “So you say I’m supposed to have wings? That’s going to be a strange experience, but no I haven’t had any feeling about them yet. It’s strange I suppose with the fact I can change into this form you say, my light’s embrace.” Chris would speak to her subtly as he just continued to lean against the tree, just looking out into the peak beyond.
“Hey..Don’t worry about it, maybe you’re just a late bloomer because you converted into one and aren't naturally born as one. One day we will reach through this trial ahead, all of us. Me, you, My brother, your friends. We will all get through it. Lets just do what we came here to do, your promised me a sight here, so let's just wait for the sun to set. I already love how much of the nature below us we can see from up here though, I can only imagine the sight we will be able to see once the sun actually sets.” Ulixes would say seemingly trying to cheer him up a bit, but she still couldn’t figure him out fully. Ever since they had all met, he had been quite a confusing one.

Chris PL: 288,179 Ki Suppression ON Chris Suppressed PL: 72,045
Alright then, it's time to conduct the experiment. If this works, this will be a huge step forward for proving the basis of my theory.
Cryonia was sitting cross legged on a boulder, surrounded by Artic Willows around her feet. It was one of the few plants that grew this far up north. Almost everything else couldn't grow in the constant icy temperatures in this area. Although her interest wasn't focused on the plant life that could grow in this harsh environment. She was staring at an ice crystal in her hand. It was something that she had created with her own abilities, and thus had much more control over it. With this ice crystal, she was going to see if she could indirectly manipulate another element.
Cryonia was just about to conduct her experiment when she picked up two ki energy signatures in the area. She turned her head and looked up. It didn't take her that long to find the source of the energy signatures. She could see two figures standing at the top of what the humans called the Los Lanes Peak. They were both stronger then her by a considerable margin, going by what she was picking up. Although she wouldn't have been able to have noticed them if she hadn't decided to conduct her experiment outside of her lab. There was a 0% risk with this test, so she decided to get some fresh air and enjoy the scenery while she conducted it.
Cryonia's first inclination was to just ignore the two figures up there. There was always the possibility that they could be dangerous individuals. So she could just leave and perform her experiment somewhere safer. On the other hand though, something felt strange about their ki signature. She couldn't quite place if, but she had never sensed something like this before. Ultimately her curiosity won out. Cryonia closed her hand around the crystal, carrying it with her as she flew up to where the two individuals were.
Cryonia made her way up to the peak, her feet touching the ground right at the very edge. That way she could quickly maneuver away to make an escape, if the situation deteriorated enough to force her to take that option. Now that she was up close, she could quite clearly make out a young male and female. Their auras were still rather strange. She could tell that the young man was a Saiyan while the young woman was an Elemi like herself. Yet there was an energy signature coming from both of them that was similar to one another. It was something she had never felt before. It was... ancient. That was the best way Cryonia could describe it in one word. Although that didn't deter her at all. She looked over at them, tilting her head to the side curiously.
"When I'm on other worlds, I usually build my laboratories in environments like this. I love this climate, and it deters most people from coming to it. Yet on this planet this cold climate is frequently visited, despite the harsh environment. I'm curious as to why you two would actually want to be up here? You both seem rather strong, so my guess is that you wanted to train up here. I have a surprising amount of neighbors now."
The most unusual thing about Cryonia was that she was not dressed for the weather. Even when it was this cold, she wore her signature outfit. While it didn't show too much skin, it wasn't exactly garb that would protect her from the cold. And yet Cryonia seemed completely unaffected by the weather.
“Maybe you’re right Ulixes, maybe I do need to relax a bit. Still, so much has changed ever since I became one. I just don’t know where to begin. From what I’ve known...we’re not exactly the easiest species to find.” Chris would comment trying to lighten his own mood a bit. Having Ulixes here to talk with...it helped...just having someone to talk with had helped in more ways than he could actually name. It was different than say back when talking with Komatsu or Atsuko. Even though they were technically family, something had always kept him wary of them. Komatsu was especially more so now that he had this marking on his head. Komatsu had said the demon queen couldn’t see or hear anything with him possessing that mark, However Chris just wasn’t sure if he could believe him on that. What if the demon queen had influenced him to lie there? It wasn’t beyond what he did know of her after all.
“Well if you want to watch the sun set, we just need to wait one more hour.” Chris would say a bit joyfully as he looked back at her, right into her eyes. Ever since he had met her, he couldn’t shake this feeling in his chest, yet he didn’t know exactly how he could word it. The thought of how simply eluded him at every possible turn. It was then that heard the subtlest of footsteps on a fallen branch. His combat instinct quickly turned to activate. His instinct’s forcing him to turn around towards the unexpected guest, his hand raised seemingly ready to launch an attack if needed be. Did Nasu find him? How? These thoughts pulsed into Chris’s head as Ulixes just stared at Chris wondering what had set him off. Only as the female began to speak did Chris begin to calm down. It wasn’t one of Nasu’s goonies...that was good. As he felt her ki, he could feel the elemi inside of her. He recognized it from the many elemi he had the chance to meet. All ranging from Shizen to Ayami and Flare, all of them had helped him to recognize the elemi ki almost anywhere. The feelings even between them even. Shizen who’s ki felt like it radiated with life, Ayami who’s ki felt as calmly moving like the water itself, and Flare’s whose fiery ki left him with a constant reminder of that thirst for action. The one he could feel from this newcomer, it was cold, solid. Similar in a way to the calmness of Ayami’s however still in a way that it was a noticeable difference. He had perfected his ki sensing to the best of his abilities over these years of training. Most of which learned either on his own or from Suko.
“I’m sorry for that, not used to other’s sneaking up on me as of lately.” Chris would say simply as he would look towards the female elemi. “We’re not here for training actually, I brought my friend here to see the peak, one of my friends had told me about this place a long time back.” Chris would explain as he would his hand out towards the view beside them. “I suppose introductions are in the way however. My name is Chris,” Chris would say only for Ulixes to cut him off right after his name had been finished being spoken. “And my name is Ulixes, a pleasure to meet you.” She would say, her cut off mainly as a tease to Chris. Afterall surely she could introduce herself. “Ha ha very funny I see what you did there.” Chris would tease right back towards her. “Anyways, I’m the unofficial leader of the X-Fighters, and the only original member of the Earth Special Forces who is still actively fighting. The rest of whom either having gone missing or...are gone…” Chris would say thinking of the friends he had lost. His old mentor to the corruption she hadn’t been able to beat, Ayami to god knows where. Gouken having vanished without a trace only to leave his gi behind. “If I have to guess, your description of living in other environments and of how your ki feels similar to how I’ve felt other’s felt. I’m willing to say you're an Ice elemi.” He would simply say as Ulixes would speak as well.
“I felt it as well, I’m actually a darkness elemi, of course both of us are hybrids however. Chris’ father was actually part earthling along with my mother and father being part earthling. I suppose we should ask as well who you might be?”
Cryonia didn't even have to ask them that many questions to get some interesting information out of them. They both seemed to be trusting and good natured. Fortunately Cryonia wasn't the kind of person who was going to take advantage of it. Cryonia conquered a chair made of ice and sat down on it, regarding the two individuals curiously. She suspected she could learn quite a bit of things from these two.
"You presume correctly. I am a ice Elemi. Although not all Elemi affiliated with the cold are ice manipulators. There are Elemi who manipulate more obscure elements then Ice or Darkness, like your friend over there does. Oh! I almost forgot to introduce myself. I am Cryonia, a representative of the Homeworld Restoration Effort. It's a genuine pleasure to meet the both of you. The X-fighters... does your group have an connection to the group known as the Z-fighters? I've looked into this planets history since I've gotten here."
Cryonia noted their interaction between the two of them with interest, her gaze shifting back and forth. The way they were talking to one another was definitely more then just friends, she could tell that much. They were at the very least close friends. Although going by what she was sensing, another possibility came to mind.
"You two have parts of your aura that are similar to one another. Forgive me if this seems too personal, but are you two half siblings? You seem very familiar with each other and share part of a common aura. Although it's an aura that I've only sensed once before. I didn't get the chance to ask that person what they were though. It seems unique compared to all the other Earthling aura's that I've sensed up until this point."
As he watched the elemi conjure up a chair from the ground made seemingly from ice, he could tell that this was going to be a long conversation it seemed. Strange how a random visitor was to infringe so immediately on what had been…a more private moment of sorts. Still make due as things were, he supposed they were a part of their business now it seemed. He wasn’t one to favor the investigative type as much but he always had the fall back stories Ulixes told him before that he could use. He still remembered them fresh in his mind back with his history lessons of the race he was now apart of. “Of course I know that already, I only guessed you were an ice elemi due to how you were describing you lived around this area. I’ve met many other elemi before.” Chris would inform as he would continue to stand. Still this girl was very..strange to say the very least. The quizzical gaze from their eyes reminded him of someone he preferred to have fully forgotten in the past.
“In a way it is kind of. The original Z Fighters however merged too much on the ideals of one person and instead of helping bring peace to those all around the galaxy, it now only helped those on Earth. I actually was a member of that group, offered the chance a bit after it was changed. After nearly a year, I couldn’t stand how it had changed from the stories and formed my own group to regain that original ideal view.” Chris would explain the full story, this conversation was going rather smoothly, however he was viewing it now more one sided for the questions as this continued going. He did want to find out more on his own. Something this stranger did say however did catch Ulixes attention.
They both let out a slight chuckle however when she asked if they were siblings. “Nah, were simply good friends who have known each other for a while. The aura you sense from us however, that is actually from the both of us having bloodline ranging back to a very powerful earthling clan. It’s a rare trait only a few earthlings have. The power from it however has made our clan quite strong.” Ulixes would explain the cover story, it was a story they had used for many excuses over the years over the questionable auras. It helped being hybrids that they could explain it so easily. “So our turn for a question, what is the Homeworld Restoration Effort? Neither of us have heard of it before, and Chris here has been across the universe practically.” She would say only to feel Chris tighten his grip on her hand. Too much info, he didn’t want the wrong person to know he was still alive after all.
Cryonia listened to Chris explain What plans he had in mind for the X-Fighters. In his mind, the Z fighters had shifted away from what they were originally intended for. He wanted to bring peace to the universe, which was quite a noble goal. Although it was an ideal that wasn’t going to happen easily. Especially with how the universe was like right now. Still, it spoke well of these individuals.
Cryonia noticed that Chris gripped Ulixes’s hand firmly. This seemed like strange behavior for people who were just friends. Cryonia decided to let that slide though. It wasn’t any of her business what kind of relationship they had. Besides, she had more important things to focus on at the moment.
“You’ve but quite a burden on yourself. Someone as young as yourself shouldn’t have to worry about how to bring about universal peace. It’s a daunting task to undertake. I shouldn’t be too hard on you about it though. It’s a dream of mine as well. Although I’m taking things one step at a time. I’ve first got to focus the HWRE’s main objective.”
Cryonia turned her head to look at Ulixes, straightening her back against her chair and looking at the half Elemi with interest. It was a little bit annoying that she didn’t know what the HWRE was. Although that seemed to be common among younger Elemi born on different worlds, so she didn’t mind explaining things to them again.
“I’d be very surprised if you did hear of us. We’ve made a effort to stay neutral in Galactic affairs. It’s been like that for nearly a century now. The Homeworld Restoration Effort is an organization dedicated to restoring the Elemi homeworld so it can be habitable again. It serves as the governing body for all Elemi and Bijou who live in the space station HOME, which circles our home planet. I have been conducting research towards terraforming for over 20 years. It’s very hard word, and I don’t expect any result for at least two centuries. It’s a very complex process.”
Cryonia noted that they weren’t very specific about what kind of hybrid they were. If they wanted to keep that a secret, then she wasn’t going to pry into things. Although that meant they were a little bit weary of her. As such, Cryonia would keep things fairly broad and general as well. Trust was something that had to work both ways after all.
He felt as his own grip held tightened around her own. He felt the beating of his own heart from the slight nervousness coming. He was worried yes, not only because of the burden he did in fact bare. No, he had came to terms with that quite a while back. No, he was so worried recently because he was scared of what Nasu would do. He never had meant to hurt his cousin so badly. He regretted truly every minute of it. If only he had realized how much power was still stored inside of the spiritual energy. If he could go back to that moment in time, he would have used less power, at least enough so he wouldn’t have been as injured. That was what he truly feared that day. Of the pain he had caused his cousin. Ever since losing Leena, that had been the last thing he ever wanted to physically hurt...his family. He was forced to do so however to help the Kold Demons who were on the brink of a genocidal rampage by his cousin.
“It may be a burden, however it’s something I’ve had to do since I was fifteen. There is also the matter of another reason. If I didn’t do something about it...who will? This power you can sense from me, I won’t lie. It is actually merely a suppression. Only around a quarter of my true strength. The people I’ve faced..their strength nearly doubles my own. That’s why the question still hangs there. If I didn’t do anything right now to help those out there. Who exactly would? Who would be able to handle the massive powers scattered throughout the universe. I respect you goal as well to want to seek to bring it some peace as well. You will need to be careful out there however. There are those with great power who will only use such power to destroy those who don’t agree with them.” Chris would finish with his little speech as he would gaze towards Arlumia.
Shortly there off they would both listen intently as they began to describe the HWRE, an interesting proposal for sure. Work that most likely wouldn’t see the light of day for over two hundred years possibly. Ulixes and Chris did however both hold thoughts upon that single one however. In two hundred years, many of their friends, and for Chris, almost all of his family, they would all be gone and yet he would still be living. The cost of being an Anegelean, the knowing that one day all of your friends and family would pass on and yet..you would still be here..existing. “It’s a shame that’s so far away, I can’t lie that I would love to see such a place restored someday. I know many of my friends as well would, but a lot of us won’t..really make it that far.” Chris would say as a subtle hint for what they all knew meaning for. Maybe they wouldn’t know that Chris had meant himself included living to see it, after all, saiyans were only known to have the same life spans as humans and as far as what was said, he had no elemi blood in his body.
Cryonia simply nodded solemnly at Chris’s words. She didn’t seem all that surprised to learn that he was much stronger than he had initially let on at first. No did she seem that awed by the fact that there were people who’s power level outclassed Chris’s own. The universe was vast, and had people of all kinds of races, abilities, and varying strengths and weaknesses. She didn’t seem that scared by the prospect of some of those powers being malicious. To her, it seemed like a normal bit of conversation.
“There are always strong individuals who have questionable morals. Every era has at least one. None of them last forever though: there are people who stand against all odds and put them down. I would suggest trying to find others to help you with this task. It isn’t something you can take on by yourself. I can take care of myself: you don’t need to worry about me.”
Cryonia gave Chris a small smile when he brought up the wish of wanting to see her world restored. It was nice to have some actual appreciation towards the topic of her Homeworld. At best she usually got disinterest about the subject matter. It was rare for another species to care about another to that degree. They often had their own troubles to deal with.
“Maybe you and your friends will see it yet. I’m doing all I can to speed the process up. Just stay alive and don’t give up hope. Time is darkness’s worst enemy. It doesn’t take long before the light breaks through.”
"I know how that is indeed, it becomes however considerably harder when most of those enemies hold something close to you and make you witness what they do. When one of them is a god them self however...time becomes no longer an ally, however, but rather an everlasting painful memory." Chris would comment stuck in his own darker thoughts. Was this constant fight becoming pointless? In a constant war with enemies who seemingly over and over again kept appearing. Each one designing to provide more and more trouble than the last. A battle truly that would never end but it was one he simply had to keep on fighting, one he had to try and reach the end of, one he had to try and find a means, a means to at least provide some peace somewhere. This dream, this love of the world, that was what he kept fighting for, one that he couldn't bare to say goodbye to.
He had been nerve-wracked with emotions back on Kold, anger, rage, fear. All of it, he had felt all at once, all of it had been an edge that he had struggled to bare hold with now even to how he had barely survived. A Saiyan code of honor even in a fight, all but broken by the kingdom itself. It still shocked him by such ferocity. Such dishonor. He had survived however, he had been healed by the friend of a one truly great friend. One he still could not forget, one that he would be lying to say, even if his friend had betrayed him before, this act truly had made him fully forgiving of him. He missed him. Now back on earth, here he was with Ulixes, someone he truly felt close to, someone who understood him and could understand the pain he went through. The pain of loss and the harshness of trying to come to terms with it. Something he truly couldn’t be more than thankful for.
“Heh, we will see, most races aren’t like elemi. Saiyan and humans only have a lifespan after all of around a hundred years. Unlike elemi who can live most of the time if they are strong enough for centuries.” Chris would say a bit at lightening the mood a bit, using humor as a tool of relief. There was the consideration however of the fact that death, death didn’t exactly hold oneself to an extreme forever. “Death however...is not exactly a prison, maybe in another life most will see it again, I’ve had my own fair shares of viewing death at such close means.” Death was a subject he was more than familiar with, he had so many encounters with it, so close to it once more, having actually been there even before. A promise that still never had been brought upon like his father had promised, but one he still desired oh so much so, more than he was even sure of for himself. He still desired just for one day possibly in death...to finally meet his blood mother?
“Even a God won’t last forever if they spread misery to others. All actions have their consequences. Eventually all the ill will they’ve brought to others will come crashing down on top of them. Time is still the worst enemy of corrupted individuals, even if they have a long life span.”
Cryonia did sympathize with him when he mentioned his smaller lifespan. She couldn't really comprehend what that was like, living knowing that you didn't have that much to do. Perhaps that was why they tried to do so much with what time they had. She didn't want the conversation continuing on such a dreary note though.
"It is true, it will likely take a long time for me to restore our homeworld. And my lifespan will be considerably longer then yours. You must not give up hope though. I could make a breakthrough that will restore our planet long before my current projections. Just as you must not give up hope in the coming battles. One day the light will cast aside the shadows. Just do your best to illuminate things, and the darkness will fade."
Cryonia gave Chris a small smile to encourage him. He seemed to be really down on himself at the moment. He needed to put less on his shoulders and just Elam. It wasn’t going to do him any good if he just worried about the future constantly.
“A normal god might not last forever, but this one doesn’t fear to spread misery. In fact, I’m quite sure he feeds on it quite delightfully. All actions may have consequences, but, those consequences themselves have effects. Not always in the best ways. Though your words aren’t entire false for my situation. My cousin happens to be one of those enemies. This organization you work for, surely they must keep tabs on the universe, primarily those who would possibly cause danger towards them. I’m willing to be they would know of my cousin and his tyranny he has brought before others. Others may call him a king, an emperor. I call him my cousin, Nasu. The recent cause for the near kold demon genocide earlier this year. The man I nearly killed. When your enemy is someone of your family, it’s hard at first, but you can’t just keep letting them harm others. My toughest fight wasn’t fighting him, it was fighting that feeling of trying not to hurt him.” Chris would speak as he would stare towards the rising moon, the night air beginning to gain its own nightly chill. The first few flickers of snow beginning to land.
“I suppose the real choice is whether I want to invite with me those in my group the X-Fighters, Jie Shan, Galen, Cleo. This fight, however, is one I and Nasu share personally, however. If I brought them as well...Nasu may be somewhat honorable, his other soldiers, however? Far far from it.” His voice would speak going silent near the end as he remembered Kinoko’s dishonorable attack after he had one the one on one fairly against his cousin. He remembered the mistakes of his own teacher before him, however. He wasn’t ready to make the same mistakes she made. She had made this fight with Nasu too personal for her. He wasn’t going to let that happen for him. He had an actual fair reason for wanting a fight with Nasu again in the future, the people here, he wanted to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves.
“Heh, smart words indeed.” Chris would say as he remembered the times he gave hope to his own teammates, back when the Earth Special Forces were more powerful than they were now. He had always been weaker than the others, yet his own undying will, his refusal to give up fully. They always helped push his own team to go further and further. When he had died the first time..he remembered how hard it had hit everyone, all of his friends...At least from what he was told. There was even Ayami, he remembered being told how hard she had taken it. She had after all been one of his closest friends, she had helped her regain control after having become enraged. He still remembered giving that spot up to her in the chamber, he could have gone in instead of her but had chosen to stay and fight to the end, at least to buy whatever time he could. His first real fight, the first one he truly felt the fear of death. It felt so long ago since then since his friend had first betrayed him. “I suppose we should be going soon, Ulixes.” Chris would say as she would look towards her. “Oh yeah, one last thing Ice Queen. Feel free to contact me whenever if you get any updates on your homeworld, it does pique my interest. Just look up my number in the ‘Glossary’ on the Capsule Corp Website. I should still be under it as an Earth Defender.” Chris would say as he would begin to fly away with Ulixes. He had a lot to get ready for, he had promised Komatsu a training session after all. So Namek be ready, he was coming.
WC: 672 - Heading off toward Namek after this post (Using this as my departure)
Cryonia listened to everything Chris had to say attentively, staying silent throughout most of his explanation on recent events. She had heard of Nasu before. His infamy and power were well known throughout the Galaxy at this point. She didn’t know that Chris was his cousin though. Which spoke of him even more in a way. While Chris wasn’t being hailed as a galactic hero, there weren’t weren’t any horror stories revolving around him. Which was good, since that meant that he wasn’t causing any kind of trouble. He seemed to be a genuinely nice guy, and Cryonia hoped that things would turn out well for him. As he prepared to leave, Cryonia decided to give him some parting words.
“I can’t tell you what to do. As long as you don’t have malicious intent, then most of your choices aren’t my concern. I will give you one piece of advice that you should take it you thought. Whatever path you choose to follow, you should commit to it entirely. You cannot falter and just simply go halfway down the path. Otherwise your ideals will never be realized. I’m not telling you to be ruthless and achieve your goals regardless of the cost. I’ve found that some things can’t be left unfinished. If you really mean to stop Nasu, then you need to bring everyone you can to combat him and his forces. And if all else fails, you may end up having to make a terrible choice. It’s your decision to make though ultimate. He’s your family, so it isn't my business to intrude. As long as the situation doesn’t force our hand. You don’t have to take or even like my advice, but you most certainly give it a bit of thought.”
Cryonia waved farewell at the Saiyan as he left, watching him and Ulexis until they disappeared out of site. Once they had vanished, Nyx took out the crystal from earlier and began examining it again. It was awhile before night would fall, and she was no hurry to get back to her residence just yet. She sat there in the cold, enjoying the calm, cold weather around her as she conducted her observations.
