Heizen had just finished rebuilding Mortos' old mansion - modeling the Mansion to become his own. The palace was built entirely from scratch at Heizen's request. He wanted everything to be brand new - his own style. The black Jackal Demon was in his standard attire. Bare-chested with purple pants and black shoes over his feet - his black built chest laid bare for all to see with the flame markings all across. Heizen was a ferocious Demon, but he was fair. Many rejoiced at his new appointment as the new General of Clan Gaknor. Mortos had been a cruel leader that saw everyone as meat, as worthless pawns. Heizen would see them as subjects. He ruled over them, but he would make sure they enjoyed their new life as long as they were loyal. His enemies would perish horrific, unspeakable deaths; but his friends would rejoice and party to their hearts desire when there wasn't work to do. He liked this position very much. It was much better to lead than to be slave to someone else.
Heizen stood atop the Red Skies outside of his palace waiting for Vulpeca to make his appearance. He had sensed the Demon King's presence for quite some time. He wondered what business he would have for the Jackal Demon. The two had entered an alliance - Heizen would help him fight his enemies and protect his crown in exchange for his training and his respect. At the Battle of the Five Lords - Heizen had proven himself a capable warrior with some untapped potential. He was on the precipice of becoming a Demon King in power and eclipsing Mortos. He just needed some direction. Heizen had no interest in the crown of Makaii. He was a Demon with more simple purposes. He wanted physical power. To become capable of grinding the Saiyans into dust.
Vulpeca had started taking a liking to this Heizen guy... if he was a rat, which he had learned most Demons were, he was doing a very good job at it. The Demon king had met him once with Nyxosa, and again on the battlefield when he had helped the royal family keep their claim to the throne. He was proving to be quite interesting to him.
In the aftermath of the battle of the palace, the royals hadn't taken long in getting rid of the corpses littering their lawn... all it took was a few well aimed fire blasts from his mate as well as some of his own acid to burn them away completely. Except for the scorch marks littering the palace, you could scarcely tell that anything had happened at all, and that alone sent quite a powerful signal to any other demons out there that may still be planning an attack.
With all that work out of the way, Vulpeca sought out this Heizen, no... Lord Heizen as he should come to be called. He was after all, the Lord of his own noble house now. Vulpeca would have to remind him to invite him to those dreadful meetings at some point... he so wasn't looking forward to taking those over from Nakiya.
As Vulpeca approached the palace he easily spotted Heizen floating above it, seemingly waiting for him. Vulpeca raised an eyebrow at this but didn't stop until he was hovering just a few feet away from him. The Demon King was wearing his military uniform, feeling that it suited him far more than any kingly clothing Aya wanted him to wear. It was much more comfortable, and practical.
"Hmm. These are some nice digs you've gotten for yourself, Lord Heizen." Vulpeca said with a smirk playing his lips at the sound of the title. It still felt so strange to have a low bred dog take up the rank of a noble... alas, that was how things worked down here. He couldn't keep thinking of Heizen as a low ranking Demon anymore. He had more than proved otherwise.
"I hope your ready, because unlike our previous Queen, I won't be teaching you lightly."

Lord Heizen. The name had a nice ring to him. The Jackal Demon had been hearing it all day from the lowly subjects who served him - and he'd be lying if he didn't say he didn't love it. "Lord Heizen - what would you like to have for dinner this evening?" one of his subjects called to him from the palace floor. "Have the chefs surprise me. And tell them we may be having a guest in our Dining Hall later - the Demon King himself has graced us with his presence today," Heizen said with a smile. He wasn't sure if Vulpeca would be staying to eat, but if he was then the Jackal Demon would be sure he ate most ravenously (especially after their session). Heizen planned on putting up quite the fight against the Demon King in their training session. He had already come quite a ways in his training. He was physically as powerful as many of the Demon Lords already - but he lacked the proper training to use his powers. Growing up a slave Heizen picked up what he knew about fighting from watching and just doing. He never received formal training, which was catching up to him in his battles.
He recalled the Saiyan who had so easily overwhelmed him even when he overpowered him by ten to one. Heizen should have been able to win that encounter - but instead he had failed to impress the hard-worn warrior due to the difference in skill and experience. He never wanted that to happen again.
Finally in his presence was the Demon King. Heizen bowed humbly before the Demon King, though he had to admit hating doing so. He wasn't one to enjoy such things, but he'd give his due respect when appropriate. "Hello, Demon King," Heizen greeted back with that same contagious devil's smile. The Demon King tried to intimidate the Demon with the words that came next, but it had failed. He spoke of hardships and of challenges. Heizen only felt joy from such things, as it proved more entertaining to accomplish. "I'm ready for whatever you have in mind, my king," he replied.
"As long as it helps bring me closer to slaying those Monkeys," he said with a grin, referring to the brutish Saiyans...
"Heh... call me Vulpeca... or General if you're stuck on formalities. I won't be King for very long once my true Queen returns, and it might make things a little awkward for you to keep calling me such out of habit." Vulpeca offered up with his own smirk, watching as Heizen bowed even though the Demon couldn't stop smirking towards Vulpeca's words. The current Demon King laughed at his comment before lazily drawing the sword at his side, pointing it towards Heizen in a rather challenging motion.
"You have a grudge against the saiyans? Heh, good. We'll need that... because before long, we will be wiping their kind off this plane of existence. Now, I imagine you do have a training room? It would be poor manners of me to destroy your new home just for some training." Vulpeca suggested, looking down towards the mansion then back up to Heizen with a bit of curiosity in his eyes.
"How well can you control your thoughts? I mean, can you use telepathy?" He asked seemingly out of the blue as he waited for Heizen to lead the way to wherever they would cause the least amount of damage.

Heizen was surprised at Vulpeca's request. Though it was true they felt Nakiya's presence - her return surely imminent - he would have thought he'd still embrace the title until then with great pride. Perhaps he had pegged the general wrong. "Fine with me, General," he replied with a shrug. He found the response witty. He enjoyed a good wit, so long as it wasn't too much and overly obnoxious. The Jackal Demon had his own image to protect after all. Though Vulpeca's war had finished for now - it wouldn't be long until one of the other Demon Lords attempted to challenge him - and assimilate Clan Gaknor into their own. He would not let such a day come. Perhaps this training would help him do that as well.
Heizen listened to the Demon General's reply - his anger for the Saiyans being a good thing. That seemed obvious to the Jackal Demon. They were a brutish race whose power rivaled theres. He would not let the Demons be outdone by overgrown monkeys. Stupid brutish monkeys. "Indeed. I can't wait to bring their Super Saiyans to their knees," he said with a dark, hearty chuckle. "Indeed I do have a training room installed. It's the basement. Rather spacious- but more importantly durable. We'll be able to have our fun without wrecking the palace," he explained.
Floating slowly down toward the ground floor the Jackal Demon made his way to open the grand doors inside. As he assumed Vulpeca followed him inside - the gorgeous, spacious, red-carpetted lobby welcoming and warm - the General spoke to him about a most curious question. The art of telepathy - Heizen had never really considered such things in the past. It was a useful skill. He'd be able to communicate with his subjects from afar. "Aye I have not. But I have always considered it a useful skill." He replied, his face now rather serious. "Is that where we're to start?"
Vulpeca floated down next to Heizen as he began his decent, walking with him towards the basement seemingly without a care in the world. He could very well have been walking into a trap but the Demon King didn't seem to be bothered by that fact at all. He didn't fully trust Heizen, he didn't fully trust anyone to be honest, but he knew that after helping him keep the throne, the Demon wouldn't be trying anything against him just yet.
Heizen went on to express his desire to destroy the Super Saiyans and Vulpeca simply nodded, thinking back on the saiyan that had spared his life during the ambush on Brench. It was going to be rather difficult to proceed when he owed him a favor... Hopefully he wasn't in the position of king the next time that they met one another.
<<It is indeed quite a large space, it'll be more than adequate for what I have to teach you. Now, seeing as you've never used telepathy, I want you to familiarize yourself with the sensation of my thoughts in your head. Most of the time, this is how the Queen and royal family before her would communicate. The Queen prefers a stealthy approach, so knowing how to project your thoughts is important.>> Vulpeca spoke directly into heizen's mind, the fox demon's mouth never moving as he walked further into the training room, looking around himself once more before turning to face Heizen once more. His eyes locked on that of the Jackal Demon's and he smirked.
<<It's just like thinking the words to yourself, but then pushing then out of your head and thinking of who you want to receive those thoughts. You have to be able to feel their energy though, so start by trying to push into my mind, then I want you to try and sense someone you've met before in the living realm.>>

As Heizen and Vulpeca walked past the front doors past the lobby- they headed down a corridor leading to a set of downward stairs. As the two silently stepped down with calm, graceful steps, Heizen was rather quiet the whole time. It seemed he was lost in his own trail of deep thought. Now it was finally happening. He was going to start tapping into his true potential - the potential that Sinthe had realized. That Heizen himself had realized. That even Nasu had seen at the tournament. Heizen's power had only exponential heights to grow from this year alone now that he was free. Heizen was chained for most of his life, his progression halted for so long by Malokai. Now he would finally begin to realize his strength, his true strength. And once he had finally realized his strength, he would make the most of it. All of it. He would bring the universe to its knees. He would make the mighty bow before him. The Kings, the Kais, the Champions. All of them would fall before the rule of the Demons. All of them would look up at him instead of down. They would respect him, fear him even. The monster that children feared in the night. The Fire Demon of Wrath - Heizen.
Suddenly Heizen felt Vulpeca's voice inside of his head. It was just like with Nyxosa that very first time they met. He complimented him on the palace - to which Heizen felt a sense of pride. Heizen could feel the force of Vulpeca's thoughts, his energy coursing into his mind to transmit these messages. Heizen truly found it fascinating to be able to contact without words. It was a useful ability that he craved to learn. Having recently mastered his sensing abilities - he would be able to contact just about everyone in the known universe. By the end of the introduction to telepathy the two had finally reached the spacious underground training room.
The room was underground - the only light that of artificial blue light projecting the entire area as a bunch of squares. It was spacious - stretching out across the entirety of the Mansion. This was right under the foundation of the land after all. Heizen would soon be installing a gravity chamber in this room to boost his body's limits. The Magical Bracers were no longer functioning - and now it was time for him to up the ante on his training.
Vulpeca tried to teach him how to project his thoughts - Heizen absorbing the explanation and understanding. That seemed simple enough. Closing his eyes as he faced the Demon General - Heizen focused his dark blue energy trying to project it outward. Suddenly Heizen's mind thought only of the Saiyan King Nasu himself - the man who had humiliated him on Earth with his Great Ape transformation. He thought of something to say to him. Something rude that the Saiyan King would not be able to understand.
"Your people are not truly yours. They shall betray you when you least expect..."
So rang the message from Makai to Saiya - where the Saiyan King would hear the message. Hopefully in his most private of moments....

Nasu was just minding his own business, on his chambers, by reading some files from the high ranking officers of the Saiyan Galactic Kingdom when he sensed some energy trying to get into his mind through telepathy. He couldn’t help himself but to find it absolutely annoying this ideal people had that it was okay to invade minds of others, especially from someone of his strain. He sighed deeply and sensed the ki energy from this fool and he quickly recognized it as the demon fool who tried to fight him on the tournament, only to get utterly defeated, despite their stupid rules and restrictions. Nasu could easily block his invasion, but he decided to allow it so that he could mock the foolish creature.
”I forgot your name, you wretched fool, but you are either bold to try and invade my privacy, or stupid to think I wouldn’t recognized your energy signature. Or, for that matter…” and, by focusing his godly ki energy, Nasu’s hair became magenta in color and so did his eyes. For a second, Heizen would lose connection, since Nasu’s ki energy completely vanished from the face of the universe, but then, as he reverted back to his former base self, he was able to reestablish the mental link between them. ”To notice precisely where you are. Maybe I will be paying a visit to Makai. I was wondering how much power it would take to rip apart a dimension. Hahahahahaha!” he mocked before finally using his Strong Will technique to completely shut his mind, expelling Heizen from it.
Vulpeca stayed quite as his eyes remained trained on Heizen as he would attempt to project his own thoughts to another. Who Heizen would chose as his target was beyond him and frankly he didn't care. No one could get into Makai without Demonic blood in their veins, or Demonic corruption. If anyone was stupid enough to try then the demons would tear them apart. He had no way of knowing Heizen would contact Nasu though, and that the Saiyan King possessed the ability to bypass that restriction.
<Well?> Vulpeca waited a few minutes before pushing his thoughts forward again, raising an eyebrow as he had expected Vulpeca to try and get into his head as well as he had instructed him too. Nothing yet... either Heizen was having a hard time or he tried to jump straight into contacting someone from the living realm. If he managed to do that without once having used Telepathy, well that was a pretty amazing feat in itself. It would make Heizen rather frightening, if he was able to learn these things so quickly.
<I still need you to speak to me telepathically as well, Heizen. There's no way for me to piggy back onto your telepathic connection with another if you've succeeded. Did you try to contact someone from the living world? Did you succeed?> He asked, beginning to sound rather impatient as he crossed his eyes, starting at him intently.

Heizen felt a powerful giddiness as he made contact with the Saiyan King. He seemed to get the knack of this trick really quickly, which made him feel really good about himself. He seemed to be learning quickly - which meant maybe it wouldn't be long until he would catch up to the Demon General. The stronger he got - the better for his plans to wipe out the Saiyans. And his plans to erase this Universe itself in favor of building it up from the ashes. Heizen was quiet as his eyes focused intently on his task. He enjoyed his little trick with the Saiyan King - expecting him to feel paranoia or at the very least a slight mistrust to his surroundings. A little doubt would have served him perfectly. Instead it seemed that Heizen was the fool - Nasu had not only been immune to the ruse but he was also now angered. It seems he had acquired some special new ability. How in the hell was he able to track Heizen's energy signature to Makai? It was impossible to sense him all the way from the other dimension, even with a connection like this! It worried the Demon a little, though also angering him. On top of that it seemed that the Saiyan King was planning on invading Makai. Could he even do that without a Demon to invite him?
The thought concerned Heizen greatly. There was no way he knew about the in-fighting among the Demon Lords or Nakiya's resurrection. Which meant his reason for visiting was all too clear to the Jackal Demon. It seemed he was coming to destroy them. Before Heizen could make a chance to reply - the Saiyan King hung up rudely. "This means bad things for the future of Makai. I clearly have to step it up on my training if I hope too be ready. Whatever power he's attained... it must be frightening,"Heizen thought with an annoyance. Just when he himself thought he was making progress - he was reminded of how much of a gap he had to overcome with the many warriors in the Universe. As he was lost in thought - Vulpeca entered his mind with a tone of annoyance. It seemed he hadn't realized by the Demon's silence that he was busy. "Yes I have seemed to gotten the hang of it, General. It seems the Saiyan King has the ability to sense our presence even while he's on the other side of the divide between their dimension and ours. He also claims to be trying to break that wall... likely to kill us all.
I'm not sure how it's possible. I have to contact my Saiyan informant on Brench to see if there's something he neglected to tell me. It's been awhile since I've contacted my little minion... a low-class Halfling of our races...,"Heizen called out to the general with his telepathy. This was a fun skill he realized. He would have a lot of fun using this.
"I wonder how little Mizuna is doing...," he said smiling...
"The Saiyan King?" Vulpeca blurted out loudly, his eye twitching in annoyance with the Demons choice of targets. Was he insane? Sure Makai was a safe place from the living realm for the time being... but with the way the world was, it was only a matter of time before Makai lost that sanctity.
"That was stupid. Why did you have to go and chose him of all people?? Arg... This isn't good... Whoever your little minion is... have them find out as much as they can about this attack. We won't be caught unprepared just because we think Makai is safe... Urg..." The Demon King growled at that in annoyance, his hand flying up to his temple as he tried to mentally organize himself for what he needed to do to prepare for Nasu's inevitable arrival. Perhaps it was about time to be a little more aggressive when it came to their method of gaining power...
"I guess there's no helping it now... idiot, when training start with a smaller target to know if you can actually accomplish a skill, then move onto bigger fish with a little less galactic impact... anyways... at least you've gotten the hang of this really quickly. That's good, it means you should be able to learn the rest of the Royal Demon Arts without much trouble. Most of it is support and a more stealth driven approach. Now... This is the next move our guards will learn." Vulpeca raised his hand high above his head, opening him palm to face the ceiling of the room. Instantly, powerful waves of energy began to pulse out of his hand like a sound wave. While these pulses didn't hurt too much physically, they rattled and attacked a persons mind at the safe time.

Heizen couldn’t quite understand Vulpeca’s frustration. He hadn’t goaded the Saiyan King into attacking. His goading actually proved beneficial into learning of the Saiyan King’s intentions. Though powerful - Nasu was far too blunt and honest about his plans. Now that they knew of the threat they could prepare. “You worry far too much, General. This attack was not caused by my harmless message. If he’s attacking it’s because of his long-standing hatred of our kind. This has been a long time coming.
Besides, I already happen to know he won’t come for us just yet. The Tree Of Might does not serve him much use here. He will be focusing on that before anything else and targeting a planet from the Living Realm to fuel his power,” Heizen said with a light chuckle. His informant had at least told him of that the last time he spoke.
“The best course of action isn’t to prepare the defense of Makai for an attack against a Saiyan King we cannot defeat. It’s to prep the attack on whatever planet he hopes to use to fuel it. The goodie two shoe defenders will likely oppose him - and in that moment is our best chance to kill him. Pitting the two forces against each other will ensure our survival..,” he said with a nasty, devilish grin widespread on the corners of his face. After that all was ripe for the taking. Heizen’s potential would be unlocked and the Universe weak at the knees to defend itself from his claim. Or so at least was his plan.
Heizen then powered up to his maximum power - wanting to continue his training. “Getting back on point now…,” he trailed off with his arms crossed. He watched as Vulpeca prepared the next attack for him - his eyes staring as the Demon King’s energy created a pulse from his hand. It was very similar to his Volcano Explosion - the ability to create a remote explosion… except not at all. It was more like a… signal. A bad signal that messed with the brain. Heizen groaned in pain as the Demon’s attack attacked his mind. Breathing heavy when it was over - the Jackal Demon forced a small smile. “An interesting technique indeed…,” he said with sincerity, though his voice seemed a little shaky. Raising his hand the Demon began to concentrate his energy - a tiny orb of energy growing before setting off a beam in the sky… that wasn’t right.
“Darn! Let me try that one more time…,” he said with gritted teeth… He would figure this out. It just would be a matter of patience for him. Instead of projecting his thoughts - he was creating a pulse… he had to think of sound waves. And shaping his energy into something similar…
[In the process of learning BG OT-1 Evil Impulse...]
Vulpeca huffed, small embers and smoke protruding from his nostrils as he finally lowered his hand after watching Heizen take the brunt of his attack. Heizen's plan was a good one in theory, but not so much in application. It was how they lost their Queen and found themselves in this predicament after all. They had tried to ambush the saiyan king on planet Brench, using the locals as cover and bait to win or at least deal a significant blow...
"That's exactly what we did on planet Brench. All of her creations including myself were strategically set up on the planet to take out Nasu's forces when they got there. We used the Brenchians as shields, decoys and bait for those monkeys and still... the amount of damage we did was minimal at best. It's not just the Saiyan King who's strong, his soldiers... their power far surpasses even my own.
You weren't there, you weren't able to see just how good those bastards are. You're right, we can't wait for them to get to Makai, but we can't go out unprepared either! And that's why you need to train your ass a lot harder then that. That was pathetic." He scoffed as a ball of fire formed in the fire foxes hand and he launched it towards Heizen with every intention to hit him. There was no better to learn than under pressure, so Vulpeca followed up his fire blast by charging forward, drawing his sword and aiming to run it through the Demon Lord.

Heizen listened to Vulpeca as the Demon General got short with him. It seemed that he was rather touchy about the whole subject. Heizen would have said something about the General's emotions if he didn't think it would get him killed. So he kept his tongue shut until he was ready to explain himself. He knew he was right. Vulpeca just couldn't see it because he was caught up in the experience. Heizen offered a fresh perspective on the matter.
"That's where you miscalculated then. I have yet to meet a Brenchian that could compare to even one of their Super Saiyans, let alone the Saiyan King himself. I myself have met some of their kind firsthand in combat on Earth for one of the Earthling's 'tournaments'. Including the Saiyan King himself. The Demons are not and have not been the driving power in the Universe for some time. You chose the wrong opportunity to attack," he said with a nod, not holding back on his words. "You lot were probably the strongest warriors on that planet when it was sieged. I've met some of Earth's so called 'protectors' at the World Tournament on Earth. They are far more sufficient for the kind of ambush strategy that we need. It's possible some of them are even stronger than the Queen herself," he said, nodding once more in assurance of himself. Most Demons would not dare question their superior, but Heizen was an intelligent Demon for all of his battle lust and strange antics. He knew battle strategy better than most. He had a special talent for it. If Vulpeca was wise he would listen to him.
"And you're right. I wasn't there. If I had been I might have at least been able to kill one of their Super Saiyans. But it's for the best that I hadn't. They won't be expecting me the next time we strike. Even the Saiyan King does not know much of my abilities," he pointed out, letting out a low dark chuckle. He would have a lot of fun with this. He now had something to look forward too. He would prove his superiority over most of them by turning them into dust. He just had a bit more pushing to do if he wanted to keep up.
And it seemed to him that Vulpeca was the one who was going to help him do that. He was a good obstacle for the Demon to overcome. If he could surpass Vulpeca than he would be able to deal severe damage to their enemies when the day came. With him, Vulpeca, the Queen, Aya, and the other powerful Demons they all had a shot at doing some damage in this upcoming war. His senses flaring with warning signals as Vulpeca's power rose, with an incoming fireball at him, Heizen leapt up in the air avoiding it. His dark blue ki swirling in a shimmering aura around him. This was only the tip of the iceberg for his new power. Heizen then sidestepped the incoming sword slash. Spinning his body rapidly into a roundhouse kick that he hoped would knock in the Demon General's side and knock him back a ways.

"The Brenchians were decoys, fodder to be thrown at the Saiyans so we didn't have to spare a second thought. No we were the one's fighting and we stood a fair chance against their Super Saiyans. Queen Nakiya did manage to kill one of their best, the Saiyan General, and another of their higher ranking officers. Without Nasu in the picture they're nothing. We can easily take care of their forces without him... He's like some... bloody beacon of hope to them. So long as he's there leading the charge they feel untouchable..." Vulpeca spat, venom quite literally leaking from his fangs. He had to reach up and wipe it away when he realized hyst how angry he was getting over the damned Saiyan King. They had to get stronger and kill him, that much was for certain... but if they expected Nakiya to return from the other world stronger than she was, then they would have to do more than just kill him. They would have to find a way to wipe him out of existence... alternatively there was the Devil's spit technique. If the petrified target wasn't broken, than they never truly died... they could keep him as a lawn ornament for the rest of eternity...
That brought a smirk back up onto the fire foxes lips as he charged at Heizen. His claws extended into dagger like edges as he swiped at Heizen who simply leaped up and away from both of his attacks. Vulpeca just scoffed as his own power level began to skyrocket all of a sudden, easily surpassing Heizen's though holding it steady at around the same as his own power.
"you've improved quite a bit haven't you... I don't remember you holding this kind of power before. You were nothing more than a wet pup dragged out of the streets~ Now it looks like you've actually gotten some power to contend with me at my base form. You've still got quite a ways to go though, Heizen. I wonder how good you've gotten though?" He asked with a devilish smirk on his lips, wondering if Heizen could back up all of that bravado of his. When he opened his mouth, a hot stream of fire shot forward towards Heizen like an inferno!
