A broken portal had cracked open not far off in the sky some thirty or forty minutes prior to this current moment. Demonic energy of the pits of hell that drew more wretched in sensation then even makaiis depths stirred. As well as the sensations of several other areas as if time and space had been ripped open several times over in a war of portals and twisting energy. A devil's chase for some old debts as slowly souls were checked off lists that hell's attendants waited eagerly to secure and others to be rid of.
The handle of a once fine sword had embedded into the top of the lookouts fine tile grounds. As did a few other bits of energy. A bit of cloth tied to the God King's hip securing a few small bits of jewelry and some stolen earrings as bits of trophies when he came careening into the lookout with full force. As if a comet as he an one in his clutches smashed hard into the ground of the high up place. He wasn't sure exactly who the current holder of this place truly was. Nor did he even truly intend for this to be the final explosive rip in time and space to send him too. He half expected the Kami from past ages had chosen this perhaps. Interfering in the twisting of energies when he'd encountered her. He had to give her credit if he was right. If so she'd have proven more resilient then both the holy knight and the green namekian boy. It was more of a side effect even crossing this one but a fitting example. Her blood staining his body lightly along with the crimson brand of several others as well. It had proven to be a 'very' productive few days. His new powers making the little places souls of the past liked to hide no longer safe. In one life or the next his grasp was ready to pull those he desired to eternal damnation.
The loud smashes of energy would carry for miles in massive shock waves. Jarvis and the weakening body of the woman in his grasp losing power fast as each pounding of his fist seemed to literally force the power to resist out of her. He didn't care who felt him on this rock. The living worlds problems were not his concerns any longer. Smashing tiles as the battle did continue in a rather one sided vision if anyone was fast enough to catch the end of it. The image casting the idea that perhaps whatever the bulk of what happened had occurred before they had torn through the final created portal now closing far off in the sky.
The battle going on for a few more minutes before leading to Jarvis holding up a limp and battered creature before him. Barely able to be even considered truly the same lovely woman it once was. Holding her by her hair letting her hang from her grasp legs limp even as her feet were allowed to touch the ground. Knees buckled and absent of any true strength. "Another debt to be paid... One shouldn't mettle in my affairs as easily as you did. I'd say next time to think more carefully... But you won't be so lucky as that. The mind of a supreme kai holds power above all others. I'll let you serve to empower like the others... Wonderful isn't it? To become what you oppose so." He wasn't sure if she could truly hear him or not. Clipping off one of his own earrings and with a smirk he'd moments after clip it to the ear of his victim. Allowing a force of energy shoot out as they collided. Drawing them together as the strong kai will would over power the mind fully of the weaker spirit bringing bodies and energies together in a massive force. Not only robbing this thing of its life but of its very existence.
The glowing light would flicker and flash a ominous black and crimson that spiraled around two figures that slowly became one. The creature in the center of it shaped like a man but flesh stained black and void of flesh was present within the darkness. As the dark unstable powers Jarvis held were feeding and mixing the purity of what he'd just devoured. Appearing as he was some demon someones forth from hell like described in some old story book. He looked like a monster with glowing eyes of crimson and aqua flickering from one color to the other. The flesh regenerating and searing from his body time and time again as he seemed to be digesting the literal soul of his victim standing in the center of this holy sacred place that had for the moment become a sacrificial site.
"I am your damn god now!" Looking as if he should be in excruciating pain in the shadows of the spiraling sickening energy that was fully fusing spirits while consuming the other given his power and supreme standing. He only seemed please as more souls he owed judgement too had fallen to strange but creative fates. "Hail to the king baby!" He'd say with a maddening chuckle as the demonic spirit chuckled slowly as purity and corruption unified in the vortex of darkness. His energy feeling so sickening it could almost physically make any near him ill at this moment. Allowing the creature within the darkness to slowly reshape as he'd influence the energy to mold himself back to his desired form when the opposing forces finally settled.

Directly outside the lookout's doorsteps the young demon and prince elemi played on a holographic chess board adjusted between the two. The game was lopsided in Kerbi's favor, the younger of the two taking way too long on a move now that was not going to end well no matter where he went for it. As those two were entangled in a gripping battle Flare, her robot, and brother all meditated- Meditated? Flare? Right, right. It was more like Ragnarok meditated as she and her bot sparred in front of him. To his irritation.
"That'a girl! You've gotta follow up on it though!" Flare yelled out as the bot smacked the young flame to the ground. Jax just blinked with her off colored eyes as the elemi then picked herself up and charged at the bot. Ragnarok groaned a bit but kept his concentration even as Unda further back shouted at the demon for cheating in their game of chess. He seemed more irritable now then he usually did. Was it just that his primal emotions would still control him in the end? Still had to fight for that control. It became apparent real quick that wasn't why he was on edge right then though. As fast as the day was still this vast amount of dark, demonic energy surged through the air from some distance in the skies not far away. Flare, Jax, Ragnarok, and the demon child all froze as they collected themselves together.
Unda wasn't as aware.
"Hey! What are you all doing? Is something happening?" Ragnarok promptly told him to hush, his eyes squinting to the skies. The young flame herself clenched her fist at the sensations sent by the now ripped holes in the skies. There was but one man she knew of. But why now? When noone was around? The insane demon king would be disappointed if he was looking for a huge audience up here. Or perhaps he was just coming on back to reap what she had sown. Whatever the case was...
"You've got to be kiddin' me. Everyone, brace yourselves. And I suggest ya go somewhere a little less conspicuous. Alright Unda?" The water elemi paused a bit behind the audacious flames, Ragnarok, and looked between Flare and him with puffy cheeks and squinted, displeased eyes. He wasn't wanting to go anywhere.
"At least go inside Prince. This could get real hairy real quick, so unless you want to get turned to primordial ash I suggest you get your tiny hind end in there." Ragnarok conveyed his own concern through the stern shell of his body language, shooing him off. Unda sighed and eventually complied with his superiors up on the lookout. He walked out back to the more secure shelter under the lookout's own homely building. Hiding his body but not what little power he had. It'd have to do until the water elemi learned better.
This disturbance wasn't going to be handled with easily. Not without the others aware of the presences. Flare would have to telepath the closest here she knew of. Make sure he at least knew.
["Hey. Jie Shan Lan Dian . I think you'd want to come up and take a look at this. "]
Roughly half an hour had passed and there was still the imminent feeling of darkness ad loom. The portal in the sky becoming more apparent as time went on. Ragnarok and Jax were still at the ready, arms crossed and eyes scanning the skies. At this point the young flame was pacing around the lookout in anticipation. Kerbi? The young demon buggered off and didn't pay the feeling much more mind as he played a little videogame. Laid out back-first on the tiling of the lookout, kicking his legs up. Boredom was going to be the death of him.
"Hhhn... Can't we DO something!?" The demon should hold his tongue sometimes. Almost on cue a sword handle is flung hard into the tiles just between his legs. Flare and the rest of them stop to see a previously complaining Kerbi scream and roll away from the initial bit of debris to hit the lookout. The demon continued and ran away from another volley of energy exploding from the ripple. Eventually what came out from the open portal was expected but a surprise. Jarvis. The god king. He had been dead, yet here he was mercilessly beating the life out of a vaguely familiar blonde haired individual.
Most of it happened too quick for any of them to properly intervene in the one sided slaughter. Much like the chess match between Kerbi and Unda the pieces had no room to move to advantage. The regressor eventually fell an was held up by the hair of the deranged king. He'd spout out more of his nonsense before taking off an earring and placing it on her. Wait, what? Most around him seemed confused, including the robot. Their confusion soon cleared up by the grotesque act of forced fusion they all witnessed in that instance.
"What in the ever loving world is this!?-" Flare was the first to look away, followed by the more stoic brother of hers. Jax didn't seem to have the capacity to look away in disgust and Kerbi looked in awe from the steps of the lookout. it took a little while longer to click what had just happened too. Nobody could see where the woman had gone, the two previous members in center of the place now just a single nasty looking being of hell.
"BASTARD!" Getting over this sickening image the young flame's body emanated a solid orange line as fire bursted from her entire body. Her hair turned to literal flame and eyes letting loose a stream of searing blue flames as she became enraged. Jax reacted in part on her master's own reaction, she too taking to the transformation mimicking Flare. The two standing side by side in defiance.

"IF YOU WERE ANY BIT AS SMART AS YOU WERE INSANE YOU'D CRAWL RIGHT BACK UP THAT HOLE YOU CAME OUT OF! GET THE HELL OUT OF MY LIFE, OFF THE LOOKOUT, AND AWAY FROM THIS PLANET!" A sudden thought burst into Jie Shan Lan Dian's head, like spontaneous combustion and hot like a firestorm. It was enough to bring himself to a sudden halt in the air. The thoughts bounced against his mind; a message from that Flare, and a desperately urgent one by the sounds of it. Jie Shan floated silently in air and turned his eyes towards the eastern horizon. Suddenly, they snapped tighly shut and his mind's eye beheld a terrible power, one that he had not felt in such proximity for a long time. Suddenly, Jie Shan Lan Dian's mouth went dry and he grit his white teeth together until his jaw hurt.
Somehow, Jie Shan doubted he ought to let this call go to voice mail.
"On my way," shot back Jie Shan in a near panicked thought. As he took off in air, an intense grimace had etched itself into his face and an awful feeling, like a serpent made of acid, was working its way up his throat. Nothing good ever followed that ki energy, thought the halfblood. But Jie Shan was still beaming towards, swift as a silver bullet. The wind ripped at his silvered hair and tussled the fur around his neckline in a flurry, the harsh breeze tearing at his eyes as tears welled up in the corner.
Jie Shan said a prayer to whatever kind gods there were and hoped that he would not be too late.
Jie Shan rocketed up the now familiar lookout and hovered over that sacred plateau. The scene below was like something out of a horror movie: darkness ran rampant below, the infectious mold of a dastardly once king, spreading from what ought be his corpse like a black plague of sorts. Jie Shan's dark Saiyan eyes darted around, his mind still reeling from the sheer energy of the unrelenting forces below. There was Flare, he thought, powered up and ready to go. But where was Caesar. . . And then it stuck him. The ki of the fallen false god was emanating from that monstrous being below.
"You!" Roared Jie Shan, "I'm not going to let you traipse around wherever you please! Especially not when I've made this planet my home!"
Jie Shan talked a big game, but could he back it up? Likely not, he admitted to himself. Sure, he loved his adopted home, but it had made him lax and he had fallen behind in his training. Now? Now Jie Shan could not even hold a candle to any of his former colleagues. And the Caesar had already been known to best the young hybrid before; once when Komatsu had taken that furious golden form of Great Ape. Even then, Jie Shan had been nothing compared to the Caesar, and if it had not been for the intervention of Nasu, back when Jie Shan and the royal dickhead had been on good terms, Jie Shan likes would have fallen apart as easily as tissue paper beneath a torrent of stormy weather.
But Nasu was not here to save him now. An electric current ran over his skin as he hovered solemnly in air. With a flash of golden light, Jie Shan was transformed! Silver hair was gold and black eyes were teal, and Jie Shan was now Super Jie Shan! The Super Saiyan eyed the situation and suddenly he was aware of the coursing energy from Flare.
Nodding to himself, Jie Shan raised the palm of his hand and aimed it right for the monster below. At the very least, he thought, he could provide a distraction!
"Cloud Cannon!" He cried, his voice piercing the air like a crack of thunder. A stormy grey beam of energy coursed from his palm and right towards the back of Caesar's body.
Jie Shan has gone super! He is using SSJFP and his PL is now 4,355,360/4,083,150
Jie Shan is using [OT-1] Cloud Cannon and is coming at Jarvis with a PL of 1,088,840!

He didn't seem to truly even realize the others were around him as of yet. His power emanating off him his nature state if not even weakened at the moment. A testament to his true power in some regards. His body a foundation now as well of several souls mixed together. Some of them sewn in so tight even powers such as the dragon balls would have trouble untangling them. He was consuming them down to their very essence. His skin seemed to rot and melt only to heal and try to restabalize several times over as he kept his monstrous look. Recognized only by his energy and prior seen appearance. He didn't hide who he was allowing his energy to poor free.
It took him several moments of observing his own body and the energy within him to twist and spiral in sensation like a horrific orchestra playing its music before he'd finally notice them. Turning to face the fire vixen once more as he'd done in the past chuckling lightly as if she'd been some sort of strange welcoming comity. Casual as the dark regenerating creature wearing only the finest of godly clothes covering his hips and lower body alone stood his ground. Shoulders eased and tension all but gone for the moment. He all but ignored Flare and her threats only walking towards the sword that had lodged itself into the ground. Reaching down to pick it up around the time a strong blast collided into him. A strange cannon of energy colliding hard and enough to give a unstable shift in the air to resonate where the god king stood. But as mist cleared.
A palm was raised of black and twisted flesh. A spiraling gold like circle of twisting emblems at his palm showing to have stopped if not canceled most negative effects. Still looking rather relaxed as he raised his sword with a hard crack of a sound echoing out. Pulling it from the hard stone bellow and giving a little chuckle. "Too bad I'm already king..." He'd say with a little whisper his voice almost a whisper but it to carrying a demonic bit of instability in this state. As if a underlying echo with ki and magic helping project it since his vocal cords were physically reforming. Using the minds of others to slowly 'stabilize' his own, At least that's one of the ways he saw it.
He seemed to contemplate how to respond this shaking his head slowly at first as the energy around him began to pick up. Summoning more power forth even when he was in a state of such instability. He seemed to focus on his palms as several varieties of aura began to glow around him. His from hard to tell what he was using given all his new absorbed energies as well as his stabilizing new one. He wanted them to feel his energy and what he'd taken just enough to give them a new reason to fear and respect him.
He seemed to focus for a moment on his own palm mutated as it was for the moment. Contemplating how to respond as the building energy of lost arts took form several times only to disperse. It was enough energy to crush a comet that he toyed with but never truly committing each time he formed it in his palm. Literally being seen by them as if he was playing with the same in equivalent to nuclear weapons one could fit in the palm of a hand. His dark features giving a smug look as he looked back up to them. His own dark pose simple but one that struck fear in many in the past. A cold but calm stare that could mean anything when coming from the man of many crowns broken or otherwise. "You know, I think I've heard similar lines so often its all starting to blend together. Its almost as if strings keep pulling you all back like puppets from one force to the next. People always seem to think these displays of power will impress me or put me off I think. Truth be told I didn't even intend to come here. You can't blame... well heheheh. I guess you can blame me now." Chuckling given his implication was aiming towards his foe but given circumstances the joke would push that the two were now one and the same. Even if one mind had completely consumed the other. His arm holding the broken sword dangling at his side weakly for the moment.
He'd pace a little as things slowly came to full realization he was on earth again encase there was any doubt to that. This planet of beauty but at the same time such confusion to him compared to other empires and planets. Some fallen now of course but the thoughts still lingered. "I'm sorry I know you mean well... You people and those that have stood here before you on this floating holy site. But I feel you just don't think all this truly through. You want to protect this planet just like your planets before. Its only natural to want to protect ones new home I suppose. But you can't seem to adjust or accept any change. I've shown what permanence I represent even now I rule something bigger then the living world in all ways! Yet you still raise arms and attack like little puppets strings being tugged by those weakened minds that are lead by your little hearts." His body slowly showing small patches of flesh finally remaining. Pure and pale just as he was before all of this.
"Maybe you should this planet truly be saved by letting it... 'evolve'. Like the other empires and planets. Take its natural course without so many foreign to it taking a step in to prevent the one day inevitable results. I mean really..." Wavering his better hand towards Jie who had just attacked him the Flare preparing her own power before him. "People like you all pretending you're peace keepers, protectors, the 'heroes'. Standing on the holy site of all the other self proclaimed heroes of this planets past. The mindset that gets set by this silly little planet and this holy site. You 'riotous' warriors, Pretending you could actually live without destruction, war, people like me and that little saiyan king. Lying to yourselves so that you all actually believe your own dribble so you truly feel good about yourselves? I mean when it comes to you people on this planet most of all and what it does to the foreign to it that now call it ... heh home." He'd tap his chest lightly with his better arm that didn't hold the broken blade. "I can't physically throw up in my mouth since my stomach is still reforming but you get the idea." Running his hand then through his hair as slowly the gold shade began to peek through as his body slowly restored it self a bit more. "So are you still going to push me to vomit with the protector hero act still for that pour soul I devoured? Or fear out of me before I've even done anything? Are those puppet strings really so powerful?" His dark twisted grin enough to show he was playing with them. He didn't fear this place nor death at all any longer. The little he had feared had subsided with his realization of what waited him there when he fell on Natto last time. He'd wait for their responses as relaxed and at east as ever. Wondering for a moment truly... was one of them the new Kami? Or one of the ones hiding...

In typical fashion the shell that was once a man shrugged off her insults and threats quite readily. There wasn't much else to be expected of the onset. If the god king was known for one thing it was belittling those under him. Flare was dead close to just grabbing him before he could walk over to pick anything up but instead concentrated still. letting her clenched fists and ever growing flames cast large shadows at the one who she hated and found vile.
Jax, responding in kind to the aggressiveness Flare partook in, started channeling something of her own. The android aforementioned transformation was a sort of clone of Flare's. Explosive elemental power. It made sense however that her was electrical and wild. Much like a overcharging bot Jax's form was covered in loose static and shocks. Some starting to build up hard into the palm of her joined hands now. Forming them in a meditative sort of gesture. She was the first to feel the approach of the lightning saiyan however coming to their side, blinking as the silver haired boy came into scene.
"Ahh, Jie. Hello." Neither the other two fighters seemed to want to intervene and start into the fight until Jie stepped into the fray. Throwing the blue haired prick a good blast from the skies. The more competent Ragnarok and Flare knew the blast wasn't going to be an end to the growing still power of him yet it was always nice to have an able hand willing to throw down. Senses accounted for the two other elemi flash their own power at the sign of the first metaphorical punch thrown. Kerbi finally standing away from the stairs and assuming a less flashy look. Conjuring a king's crown and surrounding himself in a light demonic aura whilst Ragnarok's own yelling and gain into power pushed him into a transformation identical to that of Flare's own.

As the cloud of dust settled from the blast it came to be that the gross form managed to palm the beam with a single hand. Flare stopped herself just a couple of feet away from the figure. Teeth bared. She'd face down this disgusting beast of a man before like no other!
"I'M ABOUT READY TO FRY YOUR SORRY ASS! TASTE-" But he just started talking. His mantra always seemed to be talk her down too. Always seem superior. He started ranting on about heroes and self absorption, making a joke of his own mockery and the previous woman's death like it was nothing. Flare found herself stuck just staring the man who was slowly self regenerating down with the power of several hundred suns. His words, they meant nothing, yet they still stung like they were spoken by a man sane. Like there was some sort of intelligent motive behind his inane actions. No, that was all too good a thought for such an abomination. Ragnarok drew his sword in the middle of Jarvis's full length presentation and covered it in his own flame, raising in high so its burning aura would shine even against the dull tiling below. He was quicker to be bored of the speech than Flare was.
Maybe that was because he was a talker.
"I think you take the flames for granted. For past civilizations and societies there have always been these flames. It's not as easy as putting them out, you see before you the young lass that still gives you defiance. Your permanence is an illusion." His grip strong he'd hold it in wait, eyeing the still odd looking black mess of a man. He didn't seem to be empowering the blade per say but the words he spoke shook his own aura. Something manifested physically from his voice moreover as he boasted a huge captivating voice. Moreover, it seemed to stir Flare into more of a frenzy. She tried grasping at his amalgamous form with a hand, the raging flames surrounding hr body possibly searing the demon hell king.
"ADJUST? CHANGE? PRETEND? You know EXACTLY WHY I'M LIKE THIS YOU PIECE OF FILTH! GOOD FOR NOTHING WASTE OF SPACE! Don't you DARE ACT LIKE YOU'RE SUPERIOR, THAT YOU THINK I'M PRETENDING! That this is... Some ACT! When your CHANGE HURTS THOSE WHO CAN'T FEND FOR THEMSELVES THEN I DO HAVE A DAMNED PROBLEM. THE WHOLE LOT OF YOUR KIND OF SADISTIC, CRUEL 'VILLAINS' IS THE PROBLEM. Go ahead, puke all you want degenerate. Don't think for once you can get away with everything you've done, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU PRESENT YOURSELF LIKE THIS." Even if she didn't manage to get a grasp on the blue devil the young flame would shoot out and in a furry launch her fists and legs. Large blasts of red energy and fire slinging around on the various impacts. If not to the man's body then some distance into the air behind and above him. Every pounding of the blasts shaking the lookout. The young flame continued roaring out at him.
"You don't have the right to COME UP HERE AND LECTURE ME OR ANYONE ELSE! You're lost, INSANE! And you're looking at the wrong PLACE FOR SHOVING YOUR DIRTY, BLOODY HANDS AROUND. You lost that right long ago, on that first night! When you showed me you're nothing but scum and filth. At least that saiyan dick of a king was FUN TO LISTEN TO! His nonsense was downright funny, yours? INFURIATING." As Flare continued to try getting her message across while pounding her frustration out at the god kin Kerbi looked between the other two on the other side, preoccupied with actively helping the young flame with their own rights of power. It made him wonder a lot about this all. The Barbary. It seemed little different from a saiyan's rage. With everything considering though the god king was a little right, at least to him. That was something he'd have to keep to himself in his mind. He'd have to continue supporting side would benefit him in the moment.
"Now this was what I was wanting, something interesting!" There was one thing Flare wasn't going to forget to try this time around. Some moments after her initial brutal assault she'd feel herself tire a bit. Her flame giving way to her relentless emotion long enough for her to not scream when the receiver, King of All, would feel a fiery though pop into the back of his mind. From such a far distance too.

The Cloud Cannon ripped through the air like a rogue lightning bolt, streaming straight towards Jarvis. And the beam of energy found its mark! But the monster did not seem to care. The beam burned against the hellish fallen emperor, but instead of melting fell flesh and putting the heat on the Caesar, the wayward Hell fighter seemed not to care at all. As the beam of energy subsided, Jie Shan was left staring at the back of the man, who stood as if nothing had even occurred. Jie Shan scowled, his teal eyes burning a hot hole into the back of Jarvis's stupid, figuratively swollen head. Even after all this time, was Jie Shan still that far behind everyone else?
As Jie Shan pondered his own short comings, Caesar would not give them much idle time; the corrupt king launched into his own speech on the nature of heroics, on the nature of protectors, on the stark dichotomy that ruled them and bound them together in a bloody red string of fate.
It was. . . infuriating, to say the least. This guy, thought Jie Shan, was so damn full of himself. He was so high and mighty for someone whose soul was so low in the gutter. What sins was that man guilty of? Indescribable ones, and his character was of such baser, lower nature that the ensuing speech spoke well the inner darkness bellied by the monster monarch's soul. Jie Shan did not hail from Earth, nor did he spring from a line of heroes. In fact, part of his blood, the murky crimson half that hailed from his apish sire, was the very stuff of villains and the worst that the universe had to offer. But Jie Shan was not going to let his birth define him; nor was he going to be cowed by some upstart abomination's grandiose posturing.
And it seemed that Jie Shan was not the only one bothered by this speech; Flare voiced her own indignation, born from the same righteous heart-spring that ushered in Jie Shan's own fury. Jie Shan shook in air as he listened to the ensuing speeches. The culmination of such indignities and his own ineffectual actions mixed in a messy cocktail of stormy thoughts in Jie Shan's mind.
Jie Shan Lan Dian was both shaken and stirred.
Shaken by his failings, stirred by the unfolding events. As people moved around him, Jie Shan was dully aware that the battle was becoming quite pitched. Images of a golden ape and burning city flashed through his mind; the same feelings of anger boiled over in his heart as the first time he had met that false king. The anger overtook him.
"Bastard," he spat, "I do not care what you have to say! You are the last person who should be lecturing anybody! I will not cower in the face of your egotistic preening! I have a duty to protect, and I will do my damnedest to uphold that! Now, monster, let me show you heroics and set your twisted mind straight!"
Jie Shan roared a challenge and dived at Caesar, cutting through the air like a silvered streak of greased lightning, popping out from the sky like sudden hail from a storm cloud. He rushed Jarvis with a fury filled punch aimed right at the base of his stupid head.

"WHAT!?!?"
Komatsu's voice booked out through the Citadel as he stopped dead in his tracks. He had been on his way to the training room to meet up with Chris whenever Flare's voice made it's way into his mind. Jarvis was back? There was no one else who would fit that description. How was he back already!? It had barely been any time at all! It was taking Jarvis less and less time to escape the other world every time he died... Damn it, and of course he had to go to Earth when both he and Chris weren't there... Sure he had left Flare there for that particular reason, but alone she wasn't enough, and he had no idea that Jie Shan was there as well.
<<Damn it! God damn it... Flare! It'll take me a few hours to get there at top speed! Can you hold out that long? I know it's a lot to ask of you but I know your strength and I know you can do it... Can you think of anyone that can help you keep him at bay?>> He responded to her, his pace quickening now as he lifted himself off of the ground and soared towards the training room to get Chris. Earth was his home after-all, he doubted his cousin would forgive him for not telling him then up and leaving...
WC: 230 -Not in the posting order as I am only respnoding to Flare's thoughts-
"Uh... hunh?" Lucy groaned as she was stirred awake by all of the loud noises and screams going on outside. She had been working hard in her own way, 'training' herself so that she could be just like her mama... but with no one around to teach her, well her training wasn't going so well. At least she knew how to fly now thanks to Cicero... Who she hadn't seen in a while. She had grown up quite a bit since being here on the lookout thanks to Nakiya's accelerated aging. She now looked to be about 13 years old, compared to when she got here she looked to be about 5. That was a lot of growing up to do in a short year.
She grumbled and groaned as she got out of bed, picking up the sword she had taken to carrying around with her lately and tying it around her waist. She didn't like using it, but she felt safer with it near her... it reminded her of her mama and Excalibur, and how Excalibur was always there to keep her safe.
As she walked out of her room she began to rapidly walk through the halls of the lookout, heading towards the main doors and stopping dead in her tracks when she saw so many people gathered there. She snuck behind one of the posts and peered around the corner. She recognized Jie Shan from the day that Arion took over for her mama, but she didn't recognize the other two. The fiery lady seemed to be helping Jie Shan, so at least she was on their side... but she didn't know who this blue haired guy was... but he felt oddly familiar.
Lucy wasn't trained in hiding her ki, and while it was weak, everyone there would be able to sense it if they paid her any mind. It might strike Jarvis as odd that this little girls energy someone felt familiar to him, even though the two had never before met.
He laughed a little more slowly as those around him grew more angry which only seemed to fuel his amusement. His flesh slowly healing and taking bits and pieces of somewhat normal formations along his body. It seemed the more time that ticked on the more of his energy naturally swallowed and brought into link with his own. He was bringing in the full essence of the being like a symbioses but destroying the actual mind and person within it. It was simply aiding him and removing the actually woman who was there. She was non existent in many ways. He just chuckled and laughed heartily towards flare and her strange little posse. "Such threats and power don't really worry me much. At worst you'll just give a faster ride home. Even in death I guess I couldn't help myself when it comes to taking a little power for myself. Even in death just like here those weak you speak of are to be devoured by the strong. The weak bend to the strong that's just the rules of nature. All it takes is a true threat just like I showed Komatsu back on his home planet. You best get used to such ideas cause that saiyan king won't play with you like I do. He'll take what wants with a dark ruthlessness that'll make you wish for my humor. But these are problems for the living world! In the end... I've taken my place among the other gods as far as power goes. I could let you kill me or hell even kill myself and I'll still just end up back in a cushy throne! With my lovely Shizen waiting on me there as well." Licking his lips to taunt the woman. AS well as he thought of each inch of Shizen curious if there was much of her he hadn't tasted or indulged in.
He took a moment about to say more but the fire woman only seemed focused to roar out angrily. He'd only smile more so as it happened as it fueled his enjoyment. His grin seemed to grow more and more to a point it seemed almost unreal or unnatural at the curvature and length of his grin. She seemed to only fuel his joy and intrigue more even before she fired her attack and barrage. His hair what of it had reformed at least would blast pink as his aura would give a shock wave back summoning his power up as in a instant. Flickering out of existence a few moments before he'd been barraged in fire and blasts as well as attacks. Allowing smoke and rubble to clear showing he had moments prior avoided the situation. Still chuckling lightly a bit as he stared towards Flare and her friends. Seeming as if he saw little more then a game in all this. He'd hold his hand up towards the portal not far off and twist his wrist as slowly the gateway would fully seal back up. He watched flare even as the jerk in his chin inched to the side. A blow to his jaw that hurt lightly but not to any severity or importance. His eyes didn't even leave flare except for a few moments after. Turning to eye the boy that had placed the fist upon his jaw.
Jarvis turning and aiming to lick Jie's knuckles and drawing in a heavy breath as he eyed Jie from top to bottom. Then back to Flare with a coy grin. "This really is quite amusing. Is this your new offer to me? Is he your new lover maybe? Should I take him too maybe an warp him like I did my blackened flower? I mean... I have to say I'm allot more interested in him now then I was a few moments ago." His face was beginning to reform when he'd turn back trying to draw close and make himself mere inches from Jie's face to be eye to eye. The smell of twisted blackened flesh in the air. His dark crimson eyes burning as he tried to push his mental tendrils towards Jie's mind. Trying to enable a sense of violation and power. Trying to dig through his thoughts if he could as well as showing Jie shan many of the acts he'd done with Flares lost love that he spoke of. "Do I really make you so angry? Why is that?! Are you enraged by those like me! Or is it just me!? Have I become the monster you fear and that drives you! I love it so delightfully so. That rage and anger you hold the hatred and desire to attack and kill! In last few weeks I've grown so used to feeling that. Its perfection! The more you give into those feelings the more you'll become mine and not even know it. Its funny... None of you realize these paths you choose to be against me is gonna lead to you being right under my heel... Hmm maybe we should make this more fun." He'd take in a long breath smelling Jie before pulling away and hovering still close by. He seemed to look towards the ground and pointing at people as if thinking or counting perhaps in his head. "I had my reasons for devouring that soul. But if you wish to push this game further that's fine with me. So you want to be the hero and the protectors. I'll give you those first ones fair enough. But the game now will be... For each of you that harms me 'if' you can harm me that is. I'll find someone to reap on this planet. I'll drag away souls with my own devices and powers to places you wouldn't dare imagine. Or you can perhaps grant mercy for those I encounter when exploring this planet by lowering your attacks and simply trying to please me. Lets say... one small request from each of you! An 'maybe' I'll behave on this planet. Besides... Its not like we all don't know your going to have a real threat to worry about before long. An boy am I going to enjoy that show! But what do you say!? Wanna give the god kind a wish each? Or do you want to doom a few more souls? Keep in mind you know full well I carry through on my threats to extents no sane person would. But as you said I'm hardly actually 'sane' any longer." Smirking as his body was now almost fully back to its pure state. His pink hair bright and vibrant. His eyes crimson but the pink light burning through.
He was a monster in many senses of the word but had seemed to accept if not embrace much of what he was far more now. He was relaxed and casual and didn't show any signs of attacking back after he made his offer. He did rub his jaw lightly where the blow had landed. Smirking at jie yet again and giving a slight wink. He wouldn't remove the sensation unless jie fully found the power to resist the tendrils trying to make him uncomfortable. It was one thing to violate the body but when you could try and violate the mind of a individual who they 'truly' were on the inside. That was a far more devious pleasure. "So is one of you the Kami now? I am curious about that as well... I had considered devouring that Namekian if he'd taken power but he seems absent momentarily. Perhaps if you refuse me he will be the first to be punished." Given a little tease as he remained floating near jie relaxed as ever.

For the first time in forever the young flame witnessed the blue prick have to will himself out of her way. Have to remove himself from her power as to not get burned. He did it with ease, granted, but he didn't take it like he had the rest of her blows thrown at him before. It was a small victory, soon crushed by the grand lecture he spouted out right after. The mad man had taken a thrown of that of kais? Then that portal was from hell? No, she refused to accept that the weak had to abide by the ruthlessness of the strong. Unjust, cruel. What really kept her set off was the fact he brought up Shizen. She had to recollect herself after that first built up barrage, but her unsettling amount of flaming aura grew as he continued taunting her.
"How DARE you! How FUCKING DARE YOU! She's not yours, You've forced her into all this you bastard! Made her your play thing then killed her with that damned planet! You've no sense of fuckin' shame or empathy, so if the weak must bend to the strong then I'll be sure as hell put you under my boot and BRAND YOU WITH IT! How DARE you!" The lightning saiyan seemed to catch the now pink haired prick off guard. Smashing a hard fist to his face. As young and dashing the boy looked the god king must have assumed him being the newer and more aggressive one up here that he had to be related to the fiery woman one way or another. It wasn't that he assumed Jie as a lover but rather him phrasing it as if she willingly offered Shizen to him the first time. Was the man just out to hurt her at this point?
"You're asking for it, Jarvis. Death? Too good for ya? Then I'll just beat you to a bloody pulp and leave you alive. Every. Time. Do what you want with the boy, I don't even know 'em." Flare would take a bluff that might help the situation a bit, eyeing Jie with squinted eyes. This'd work out better for the both of them if he went along with it. Flare herself didn't look the best even with a lie as simple as that. Jarvis was still just shrugging off her threats however. With another roar the young flame lit up her fists again in a similar fashion, readying up her attack once more right before the god king gave his own threat of action towards anyone opposing him. It made her stop a few feet away from engaging him again. Her teeth gritting.
"You son of a bitch..." Caesar was playing at her heart. Her reasons for being strong. If she was going to be punishing others for failing to even get rid of this threat then what good was she? No better than how it all started with her being powerless anyways. Perhaps worse off since they'd be blood on her hands. Blood she didn't want. Flare found it conflicting, even if she did anything the god king wanted he could still do whatever he wanted against them. Against earth, innocents. Everything. Her words and actions against the god alone could buy them almost nothing, but going along with his 'game' could buy them something.
Time.
Ragnarok and Jax both witnessed the young flame get angrier from off the side, still focusing hard on their own attacks while Kerbi became more intrigued with the pink haired man and walked a bit closer. Ragnarok was the more sensible as to keep away for now, but Jax stepped further forward with her charging defenses. Set still on assaulting the god king with Flare. The robot stopped as the young flame yelled.
"Back off from him. BACK OFF I SAID. Did you not just hear him?" This command confused Jax. It was obvious the god king was still in a threatening position and Flare was still powered up and angered by what she could gather.
"The Target is still hostile." Flare turned almost fully on the bot, the flames famping up as she shouted her own android down again.
"I SAID BACK OFF. Unarm yourselves, come on!" The feminine bot frowned and let loose sparks, dropping her lightning gathering palms and putting them to her sides with hesitance. Ragnarok himself remained a bit stoic in the background, lowering his sword and diminishing the flaming aura surrounding the blade. Kerbi came up to from the steps, just passing by the hiding Lucy with a smile focused at her before stepping up closer next to his aunt Flare.
"Alright you pompous ass prick. You don't have to make anyone but me do your requests if they don't want to. I'll take the fall if it means less people have to deal with you. The MOMENT you decide to force me into something insane or you turn your back and hurt people anyways I WILL step in myself and burn your ass to dust and cinder. Do you understand that? I am not your puppet. If any of us are doing anything you WILL 'behave'." Ragnarok crossed his arms from the side of the field and looked at his sister contemplatively. A look of maybe disappointment. There was the underlying reason for it but no one else seemed to know that, and for good reason. She couldn't risk even telepathing anyone what she planned on doing by risking this. She herself didn't really even realize her own mind wasn't being probed or meddled with. Flare just remembered the last times being so weak that it just happened. To make herself seem more open and less dangerous she pulled her flames back and assumed her normal form. Vulnerable to the man floating in front of her.
Their only real savior was to get Koma or a few of the others here to deal with him. Even with the help she does have it'd be a lopsided battle. Much like the one the god king had with the prior blonde woman. There was no telling what this punk was going to ask or if she could even do what was to be told of her without going against herself.

Contact, like a flyswatter meeting concrete. Even as Jie Shan flew through the air, moving with all his might, he could not help but feel. . . irrelevant. In the mere moments it took Jie Shan to cross the space between them, the monster burned with power unlike anything Jie Shan had seen so close up before. An almost godly power, one that dwarfed anything Jie Shan was capable of. Just before the moment of impact, this Caesar turned to face Jie Shan and the hybrid's fist smacked straight into the steel jawline of his hellish foe. The Caesar regarded him oddly, sighing in an almost sensual way. The man dragged his tongue along Jie Shan's knuckles and it felt as if worms began to work their way beneath his flesh. It was a violation; it made him feel impure.
Slowly, flesh shifted as Caesar drew closer to Jie Shan, the space between their eyes compact. Dark magic rippled as the sin god's flesh twisted and a face reformed mere inches from Jie Shan's face. An acrid, sickening scent filled the air and Jie Shan's stomach shifted, like something had spilled in the pit of his being. A piercing crimson stare, a color that Jie Shan could only liken to that of spilled blood, met the steely, electric blue orbs settled in Jie Shan's own face. And slowly, something began to scratch at the back of his mind, like the very demons that howled in his nightmares. But these were not the homegrown, familiar demons that had followed Jie Shan across the universe. No, these were new; twilight invaders bounding across the ford of his mind in order to pillage the rich banks of his mind. Images of disgusting acts flashed across his mind, all starring whom Jie Shan presumed to be Caesar. Jie Shan knew Caesar was a bad man purely through reputation, but now Jie Shan was really getting to know the monster.
The man spoke of anger and hatred, feelings Jie Shan knew well enough, and how the roads to him and Hell were paved with such feelings. Jie Shan trembled, his body shaking as his mind coped with the violation he had just received.
"You disgust me," croaked Jie Shan softly, almost to himself. The Caesar floated a few paces away, finally giving Jie Shan some distance. His heart and mind raced at the speed of light, processing his next plan. A shaky hand itched for the blade on his back and he desired in the baser quarters of his soul to run the shining steel through that black ball of miasma and blood that Jarvis might call a heart.
But Jie Shan stayed his hand. The twice-damned man spoke of an offer: entertain Jarvis and no one else would die. Jie Shan wanted to vomit, to expel the sin that had just been violently etched into his mind like vulgar graffiti, but his stomach remained bound to his insides. Instead, he simply stared at Jarvis, wishing his eyes could burn a whole through that smug face of his.
A crack of lightning peeled off from Jie Shan and struck the nearby ground and his rage simmered, his Elemi blood boiling as the storm coursed through his veins as a river under the twisting influence of a typhoon.
"For the greater good," growled Jie Shan, "Ask what you will of me, but harm no one else, or I will need to rescind this momentary truce."
Jie Shan shot a glance across the Lookout to Flare, to Jax, to the rest of the unnamed troop, concern in his eyes, primarily for them and for the missing Arion. What was coming next?
"What do you want?" Asked Jie Shan.

Lucy really wasn't that well hidden at all, though her silence made it very easy for anyone to miss her presence entirely. The young humans eyes changed from violet to crimson as she watched the fight, her creator peering through her eyes without the young girls consent. It was a weak connection as Nakiya was still in Hell, but none the less she was able to peer through Lucy's eyes long enough to assess the situation.
Thankfully, Jarvis just seemed to be having fun with the creatures on the lookout... nothing too extravagant with his damned flirting... she was really getting irritated with him, so keeping a close eye on him like this had become necessary to her. Even though Jarvis had wished himself a kai, even Nakiya thought he had grown to big for his briches. The Saiyan hybrid she had fallen for was no longer the same... although, her newly awakened mentality didn't mind his destructiveness in the slightest. She was just... a taad bit more possessive of what she considered to be hers.
Lucy was distracted from the seen when Kerbi walked by her. Her eyes immediately changed back to lavender as she looked towards the boy curiously, unable to return the smile just yet... she couldn't smile when there were people here who were fighting so intensely. She closed her fists against the back of the pillar as she bit her lower lip.
'I have to stop being such a coward... if I'm going to be Kami one day then... then I have to be more like momma... I have to be able to stand up to people like this...' She thought to herself bravely, now moving her hand to grip the sword at her side. Though the instand her hand closed around the hilt, her eyes welled up in tears.
'but he's so scarry...' She thought to herself once more as she stared at Jarvis, terrified of acting. She couldn't sense him, no one had taught her that... but she could just feel the intensity of his energy and his personality. If she went out there... she'd only just get in the way right?
He'd lick his teeth mocking Flare lightly as if teasing he didn't much care or worry for her strikes up until the point she stopped a few feet away. He'd just chuckle at first at their words. He let out a heavy breath when lightning cracked of Jie as his head tilted to look back to the warrior. It seemed it only furthered a allure in his eyes. His interest in the lighting warrior only growing. Although to Jie's luck Jarvis hadn't truly peeked at his mind only placed his own dirty broken thoughts to twist it. For the time his alliance secrets were safe. Jarvis blinded by his own desire for games. He'd lower himself slowly and land his feet back on the lookout with soft pats. So gentle it was hard to imagine he had the power to burn entire worlds and races at his finger tips. "You two... You know the reason Komatsu beat me... The reason Nasu is a danger but you two, that Chris and now..." He looked at the broken sword in his hand and with focused energy it seemed to melt in his palm as a mental scream shout out allowing others around to even hear it. Some light energy absorbing into Jarvis's arm and the saber vanishing. "The reason he could and you never truly will? Its because people luck us or at least when Komatsu was smart... Didn't care how many we had to kill or died to reach our goals. People die and the longer you waste time putting the needs of the weak who have no power themselves before your own will always weigh you down. Resist me all you want just know in your hearts that you look at the man who know rules the underworld." He'd hold a hand to the air as a small rip to small to be a portal but enough to show a image. Beyond a place of burning energy and twisted things forming. Flashes of Oni's fighting, policing, or being used. Souls put into new order and places as it seemed hell was being transformed at Jarvis's will. Just a little glint and a little energy to seep through to send shivers down their spines. "Most souls carry weight on them even those weak you protect. Most souls like the two of you carry sins you dare not admit as you pretend to be oh so valiant. An one day you'll come to my feet as such souls. An on that day I will devour you and let you embrace pure nothingness. That is your fates an such is why I truly do not need to face you this day. But who knows... Maybe I'll forget you before then. If this is truly all it takes to stop you with such small threats. Maybe neither of you are worth such notice." Looking to Jie with a sneer then to Flare with disgust. As if he was almost disappointed or insulted she accepted his deal.
"Just so you know... Shizen chose to embrace nothingness with me with the god of destruction sealed me in a universe of nothingness. She pieced my mind together and brought into who I am. As well as stood by me and defended me so I could become the King of the underworld. Any hope you cling that what your doing to me is for her... Know you are long forgotten." Snapping his fingers as he began to fall back. Landing on a throne he formed from nothingness. The image appeared of saiyan design but it was hard to place. Jie might have only lightly recognized some designs. Jarvis had kidnapped a very old relative soul of Nasu's line. Prodded the mind to see things of the past. The design something that caught his fancy from times passed.
He pointed at those that had offended or dared think to assault him and began to count. Lowering his hand after a moment more mocking it to take time then just counting in his head. "One, two, and three. If you wish to take their places you will have to take all three of their sins to your shoulders Flare. You wish to bare their weight then you will bare it all. Such is your weakness... wanting to be a hero and prove yourself or something or another." Reclining and relaxing his pink hair and energy rippling out like a Beacon as he made no attempt to hide who he was or where he was. "Lets make this fun,... Flare your first of three requests. Without contempt in your voice, without anger, or any emotions to ruin the story. Tell me about when you first met Shizen. Tell me how you met her and how you grew with her. How you loved her and how it felt inwardly when you were so weak your legs were nearly taken just as she was taken. In your own words and... please lower your guards. I'll be prodding your mind to know your telling the truth. If you are lying or just try to anger me rather then being honest lets see... Since its three requests and this is the first. Three thousand! I'll kill a thousand earthlings for each request you deny." He'd turn his head to Jie before allowing Flare to begin. "As for you... Your request... You look so familiar have I threatened you before?" He seemed to pause for a moment and let the moment pass. "No matter, If I'm to perhaps explore this planet in some 'peace' if you all obey what I say today. I'll be needing clothes and a proper weapon correct? After all you don't want anyone recognizing me and flying off the handle do you? I've been told my lovely apparel makes me stick out before. Stand their and strip... An when falre finishes her one of three tasks you can bring me your clothes and your blade. Don't worry my magic can fix the sizes. I mean I could just copy your clothes with such arts but magic just. HMM doesn't beat the quality of good real work you know?" It was clear this one was not as personal as Flares. But that look of smugness on his face. It was intended to be like a knife jabbing at pride perhaps trying to get a feel for Jie. Would he be willing to sacrifice a thousand souls or possibly four thousand if flare jumped in too. This man had killed billions with a stroke of his hand on Natto and billions more with his orders in a secondary fashion. But why stop at a thousand. Jarvis stopped at a thousand eve though he knew thy may not believe him. But only because a mere thousand could be balanced against the dangers he could do. A risk perhaps worth attempting to attack him. He could either get them to admit thy were darker then they wanted too or see just how tight i their ways they truly were. Jie's was a simple test of pride. Flare however... Had three obstacles that would strip her of her pride and dignity. She had come to Jarvis time and time again in his way. If she wanted to be the hero and take on the weight and pain of the world perhaps it was time to let her pay that cost. His mind could be felt trying to connect with hers moments later. She already knew the punishment for refusing.

Flare only returned the looks of the mad king with disdain. Everything he said, about the innocents. The real threats being those of ruthless monarchs or the misguided Komatsu. The young flame knew deep down she had wronged before, knew she had to make up for it. Every life was precious, and hearing otherwise come from the proclaimed king of hell was unnerving. She had faced her demons long ago, many times. He didn't know her, he couldn't purport that she'd eventually succumb to all this pressure and go to his hell to be his thing. To be mercilessly absorbed. The grating and dark familiarity Flare had with the voice of the once great sword Jarvis took into his form made her grit teeth. She managed to keep herself from growing any stronger than to transform again just in front of him however.
"How would you know? You're nothing but a shell of a man, someone who acts all-powerful with no purpose other than to be cruel!" Flare was living proof of his cruelty and unfounded grotesque ways. With his insulting input about Shizen she felt herself shake. This body, he was nothing more than pain in human form. To her benefit and detriment she had plenty of nightmares just like this. More gruesome, even. Shizen couldn't willingly help this bastard, no. She had to have been controlled, manipulated! Corrupted, something akin to one of the sins he so talked about.
Flare couldn't save her.
"Liar! The Shizen I knew would never do that! What you did to her was malicious, she's not that person anymore! You twisted her, made her into a monster no better than yourself!" Her elemi nature didn't let her let go of this pure hatred towards him though. Not when she was brought up not once but twice. He seemed to take her offer into account, tallying up everyone but Kerbi who stood nearby as well. That youth in particular perked a brow at his exclusion and just smirked up at the king. Glancing then to his sides at the actual victims. Ragnarok and Jax both resigned from their own forms, letting loose a final wave of fire and electricity before calming them. The audacious flame in particular walked up next to Flare.

A thousand people a misstep. The request was sickening, talking about her history with the fallen love. No doubt Jie's request too was humiliating, but she got the extremely short end. on her first request. Was this a joke? Speak of Shizen as she once was without evoking some carnal emotion? She shook still and looked away from the god king to contemplate, her overall energy settling lower and lower as requested of the man. The young flame took her time with it all, perhaps hesitance to unveil something so personal to enemies and newer friends.

"Flare, you do not have to do this-" Ragnarok instantly got this angered snarl from the woman, turning her head quickly to meet him. The message was clear enough, the audacious flame sighing and crossing his arms just after sheathing his sword. Jax still looked confused at her creator but went along with it still. This was Flare's doing, her sowing. She'll take on the reaping on her own terms. This was her battle and not theirs. Her brother could at least respect that as his face turned from sour to a stern gaze as he looked between her and Jie. Flare herself nearly choked as she spat the first few words out.
"I was driving my hovercar... I-" She looked back up at Jarvis, trying her best to calm herself in spite of what she was having to tell to him. In front of his face. She didn't seem to break the prescribed conditions for his favor just yet but she was starting off a bit shaky. All the others would see the young flame quiver one last time before stiffening her lip and forcing herself still.
"I was driving when I crashed into the bamboo forest not far off. Took out a good bit of trees and the like. The thing was wrecked but... I could fix it back up given time. I'm a handy woman, always have been. I had Jax with me, and it was going to be a fairly simple fix until she came.
I set my eyes on her gentle and frail form. Blonde hair, green outfit. Rather petite, her eyes like little emeralds piercing deftly into me. If it wasn't for her getting angry and totaling my ride with a mess of vines I wouldn't have gotten mad at her. A strange mix of emotions overwhelmed me and some time during which I had tried shooing her away to let me be I accidentally burnt her." Without her knowing or even without her storytelling really changing tone small whiffs of fire developed around her body. Faint tells of emotion that she wasn't even aware of. Sadness? Anxiety? Probably a mad mix of those two and plus some, but her words didn't waver from their course. Ragnarok and Jax seemed to have both known the tale from their unwavering expressions while the pink haired boy looked with intrigue at his aunt.
"After she had calmed down her anger and just freaked out over the mark I had made I had so many conflicted feelings I just wiped the flame away and kissed her then and there. I didn't know what I had done at first, and neither did she. I took her home after she fell, too weak to continue on her own.
Shizen was an absolute hippie. The whole reason she came up, low and behold, was because I destroyed some trees. That was what was explained to me at least. I let her stay at my place while she recovered. We told each other about ourselves and, at the time, I was still in the process of getting over some other friends. You could say opposites attract because after that week or so I remember vividly us being intertwined for hours a day." Pain was starting to settle in, Flare now too mixed about everything to stare Jarvis straight in the face. Jie would be having plenty of time to get on with whatever striping game he had to do as well. Perhaps Flare'd see a bit of his own favor starting, looking him in the eyes briefly before also turning from the lightning boy. He shouldn't have to see her like this.
"She parted for a while to continue looking after the forests of this world. But she actually went after the dragonballs. I didn't know about any of it from the get go I just noticed my radar I had was gone. I couldn't really find her until I saw her sneak back into my place. To return the radar and to apologize. She told me she wanted them to wish me another car, to replace the one she broke, like I didn't have a million of those already. It was a foolish idea but so endearing. Someone was willing to do that for me, I never..." The young flame steeled herself against the incoming sudden emotion trying to peak their way through her speech. It was almost physically painful to repress herself like this, cringing as she fought against her anger and bitter sadness. Flare had years to get over this, to deal with the fact she had failed and let it all go. If Jarvis wanted to fault her for not even stuttering or changing her attitude in the speech then at this point it'd be him nitpicking. She was doing a great job despite the small whirling flames that wouldn't even scorch a fly continued to circle her.
Oh how naive.
"We had another night alone before I had to go out the next night. I offered her a ride to go get some of the city's food with me but she didn't come with. At least I thought. She followed me during that night in the park, moon glowing superbly in the night sky as to illuminate even most minute things, every single little blade of grass casting a shadow you could see. I went out to help this fox lady who seemed to succumb under the moon when I noticed you before me... Jarvis." Flare just now convinced herself to look back at the god king, her expression having switched to a cold and distant gaze. Pain was obvious to see under this guise but she didn't falter. This was going to be the hardest part of this venture.
"You came to watch the spectacle upon your throne, and I proceeded to yell at you for making a game of it. I didn't realize Shizen had come, not before it was too late. Just in time to see me under your foot. Or, rather, she got to witness you cut my legs clean off. I was lucky to have Jax come to my side, able to mend it. But I was weak. Naive. Stubborn. My memory gets a little blurry along these lines but she offered herself before you to stop you from killing me. You just beat the consciousness out of my deteriorating spirit and destroyed my robot. I woke up in a hospital...
The rage, the anger I felt from it. Despite possible concussions and the broken ribs I stood up among the pedestrians and friends alike. I almost... I almost set the place entirely on fire in it all. If it weren't for Chris I might have. My flames, they are a result of that day. And they still burn with hatred towards you." Flare had let the god king delve into her vulnerable mind, twitching her eye as her mind became violated by the godly nature of the blue prick. It all seemed heart wrenchingly true, yet wrong from her perspective. Jarvis would know that some of what she said wasn't 100% accurate but she lied about none of it. The flames around her person grew only slightly brighter, but she held her pseudo stoic face and tone of voice throughout. Since the gig seemed up the young flame sighed and ran fingers through her hair. A single tear collecting in her eye.
"Are you... Satisfied with that?" Ragnarok blinked and looked back at his sister, huffing from his nose. Jax patted the distressed flame on the back, trying to illicit some positive response from her. No, Flare seemed emotionally troubled by the retelling. Look at it this way though.
It could have been much worse. She didn't raise her voice or anything.

"Quotes are a waste of time. Actions speak louder than words."

The requests had come, but not without more of the man's more obscene grandstanding. He spoke of Nasu, Komatsu, and his own twisted self, claiming that they were prepared to go to lengths to attain their goals, to throw away thousands of lives. Jie Shan knew it to be true. And Jie Shan knew that it was practical, that the road to success was paved slick with the blood of innocent and foes alike. Jie Shan was not so blindly idealistic that he could deny such truths, in that those who were cutthroat and willing to pay their way in steel and life's blood were oft the one's who came out on top of the universe. Nasu was a king, the monster before them was a twisted emperor, and those were only two examples of the thousands of monster who had ascended whilst making their way up by stepping upon the backs of others like stepping stones cut from bone and muscle, beaten and flayed thin.
But Jie Shan was not cut from that cloth. Jie Shan was simply not willing to sacrifice thousands, millions, or trillions for his own personal gain. He was not willing to send even a single soul to the sacrificial altar for his own sickening success. And while some might claim that made him weak- and they were not necessarily wrong- it was not a line Jie Shan could cross, a line drawn in the sand by the way of sharpened steel.
As Jie Shan listened to the insane rambles of a broken man, he could not help but feel a pang of sadness for Flare, like a hot coal nestled between his lungs, a heated pain suspended in the middle of his chest and only stoked by the bellows of a king escaped from Hell.
And then came his task for Jie Shan. A simple task, at first, for him to strip down to bare flesh, but another caveat struck deep at his core: he was meant to give Caesar his blade. Jie Shan shook and another wave of electricity ran over his body. His sword?
Jie Shan's sword was his most prized possession. It had been a gift from his mother, the one link he had to the wayward matriarch and the only stable thing in his life. The sword was a part of him, much like how a tree grows around a fences and claims it for itself- no, more intimate than that. Jie Shan's heart nearly split with a sharp pain, as if it had been cleaved in twain.
For a crazed moment, he wanted to shout his refusal and to charge the man with the very same blade and cut his pink head off and take him down to size. A battle trained hand, honed by a lifetime of swordsmanship near flew to the grip of the blade and drew it, but Jie Shan slammed it tight against himself, fist into his thigh.
Trembling and with something like tears coming to the corners of his eyes, springing up from some hidden well within him, Jie Shan did something that nearly killed him to do: he removed the blade and scabbard from his back and laid it as his feet.
Jie Shan's heart broke.
"Mother," he whispered to himself, choking on the words, "Forgive me, please. . ."
The demons that lived in the back of Jie Shan's mind came crawling forth, running their grimy claws over the fleshy grey-pink grounds of Jie Shan's mind, free in a time and place that was not the dream world. Jie Shan fell away into his own little world as Flare recounted her tale and Jie Shan stripped.
Before long, Jie Shan stood bare, clothes in hand, blade tucked beneath fold of his left arm, close to his heart.
It hurt.
But Jie Shan, in his turmoil, knew that it was for the greater good. If he kept his blade, the blood of thousands would be wet upon it. And Jie Shan would not live with that, even if he were dying now. A single pair of twinned tears ran down his cheeks as the story drew to a close.
As Flare finished telling her story, Jie Shan advanced towards Caesar, his tail limp behind him. With no dignity, Jie Shan set the clothes at the feet of Caesar. A forlorn spark fell from his hands, faint and dainty, like torn lace.
Jie Shan fell back from Caesar and waited forlornly for the storm to pass.
