Team Universe Seven would hopefully soon be one step closer to completion. Less than some days ago or so, Lagerus-sama and Whis-san had come all the way from their godly stead to go and not only to warn, but also to select a warrior that would serve both as a participant and leader in a team whose objective was to fight for the sake of their universe. It was not just a tournament; Cornatto himself had been to one of those before, and it had little to no repercussions unless one counted the shift in reputation, but there was a lot more to Tournament of Power.
It was a huge battle between universes to decide which was to remain and what should have perished-- or rather, erased. It wasn’t even going to get destroyed, meaning, it wasn’t a matter of taking a ticket to the Afterlife and then go away but literal erasure. Poof. No more. The idea was a little bit scary, yes, but Cornatto pretty much only saw the entire battle thing behind it; then again, he also took the universe’s conditions seriously. Because of that, not only he should have been in the best shape he could arrange by the time of the tournament but Universe Seven also needed the best team that could be arranged out there.
There were a few names in Cornatto’s mind. Of course it came down to people such as Nasu and Komatsu, too. They were among the strongest he had seen in his latest years, and honestly? He was at least sure that they’d have fought or well, he hoped to at least! A Saiyan would never not raise the challenge or perhaps join for the mere satisfaction of a good battle-- a match against another universe was indeed an intriguing idea, after all, and believed that any pure-blooded Saiyan would have readily accepted.
Or, if not that, for the universe. Perhaps for the Saiyan race itself, or, for everyone else on the team, themselves and their fellow kinsmen. The Earthling Saiyan couldn’t personally try to put himself in the others’ shoes, meaning, he couldn’t imagine what their reasons could be to fight, but it was either that, or their existence.
To Cornatto, it was his Saiyan Blood, his love for battle that drove him forward to participate; his goal was to get stronger and not only this was an excellent opportunity to perform such feat, but also to unleash what he had previously managed to muster up. The power that he had unlocked and mastered, and what existed beyond that thick and robust string of power that divided both the second and third level of the Super Saiyan transformation.
To plenty more of people, of course, it wouldn’t have been the same; not everyone was a Saiyan or not like one at all and unfortunately, Corn couldn’t really tell what was up with people’s heads most of the time-- that was some sort of skills that he could have used back on Earth during the whole Tree of Might thing, it was quite the chaotic situation with such a gathering of people. But that aside, survival was what mattered in this tournament and if they cared for their own life, or someone else's that itself would have likely been enough of a reason to join.
That was what he hoped to accomplish-- to convince the rest of the strongest in this universe to join the team without too much trouble. At the moment, hilariously enough or not, it seemed that most of them still laid upon the surface on Earth whether they were aware of what was about to happen or that but that far it appeared that Lagerus-sama had left it on Cornatto’s shoulders to share the news and pick the members. Not that he minded to go back to Earth, though, it just felt… funny.
The man had been teleported to the Lookout by that Kai that they had assigned him so that the latter, otherworldly presence, could take Corn around in their search for new members. And was left there by the Kai, soon to come back whenever Cornatto would have had to go back to the otherworld, but as of the moment, he had quite a few in mind to track down and check out with them about the tournament. But, for the moment, he was going to gather the rest of the fighters that supposedly made the top five of their universe.
Not every one of them was a familiar face, most of them were, though, but he had sensed out their presence before and could more or less tell they were still on Earth, for some reason, even though the Tree of Might was no more. The Earthling Saiyan stood upon the Timeless Lookout for a pair of moments, silently until he reached out with his senses and recognized more than a few-- hey, he could even sense his daughter! A smile escaped the man’s lips in evident relief; he was glad that she was okay.
And then, his senses locked on three energy signatures in particular; he couldn’t quite remember most of them other than Komatsu’s. Although he was pretty sure that he had at least sensed both during the Tree of Might episode; one was Caesar, and the other was some lady that joined into the fight. “There are sure lots of powerhouses here on Earth, huh? I wonder why Koma and the others are still here, though. Ah well, whatever! Anyway, hopefully, I am wrong but I think these kids don’t get along at all,” - he thought to himself before he just folded his arms over his chest and sent all three a telepathic message.
“Hey! I’m not good at long speeches so that I will be short enough; come to the Lookout, you probably know where it is, don’t you? I need to talk with you, on Lagerus-sama’s part, about the Tournament of Power.”
It didn't take him long to appear but he hardly seemed all that amused. Standing at a height smaller then Cornatto's but still carrying the intimidating presence a being like him often did. A light glare within his crimson eyes as his feet slowly touched upon the cold lookout floor tiles. Bare feet touching flat upon the surface and standing in place a few feet from one who'd summoned him. While he was still a god and his life long and enduring. He lacked several of the other abilities of his race due to whatever seal or alteration the would be flaunting thing had done to him. Without the ability to easily feel within someones mind or feel their power now he felt a twinge of aggression as well as a edge upon him. Given he'd need direct touch for some of his skills he still possessed. A dark energy pooled lightly around him in a natural sensation almost miasma like in sense. The white clothing he wore still fashionable and styled like the beings above. The cold stare would last for several moments. As if a lion watching the gazelle readying to pounce. His posture direct arms down at his side. It would be only sudden after a long moment of not even moving a millimeter would he shoot forward. Aiming to plant his small fist hard and direct if he could land it right into Cornatto's stomach. No intent to do any harm beyond if landing trying to place his fist within Cornatto's stomach for just a brief moment in sensation.
Hit or miss standing right before the warrior the moment after watching him as calm as ever still looking not so much unamussed just emotionless. Before letting the second draw out before finally speaking as he'd stand relaxed arms at his side eyeing the man there after whether it was a man in pain or a man who'd avoided his blow. "Given you've said you speak for Lagerus... You can imagine there is many reasons I could have done that for. But quite mainly the lack of my abilities I find highly insulting... I'll save you the trouble of asking why but explaining they alleviated me of several of the natural abilities of my kind more or less. I am still a god just a less powerful one now. I'm curious to hear what you have to say only because I cannot simply drive my tendrils into your mind without holding you down without those said powers and discover for myself. So do be so kind as to get on with your point on that frivolous tournament. I want to hear what idea the furry god has decided and sent her pawn before me to explain." When at a closer distance however his voice held more keys of annoyance and irritation. Not to the point of malice towards Cornatto specifically but more the sound of someone who was weary, or struggling at present. His eyes would appear perhaps more tired as well at such a proximity. Occasionally seeming to become unfocused for just brief moments so quickly they'd be nearly impossible to catch. He'd stand relaxed so yet again as well appearing just as harmless as when he'd arrived. Perhaps his irritation and muse of the tournament or Lagerus were all connected. His powers held strengths to him for reasons beyond the normal reasons would could imagine. The silence of being alone with his own thoughts almost all the time now was... a adjustment. "...Forgive me. Speak your business... I'll refrain from further anger against you for transgressions your boss has taken against me." He'd say still facing Cornatto but looking his eyes off to the side making it hard to tell if he was genuine or not in his words. But he did seem to relax a tad more after his shoulder lightly untensing as well as he just felt more tired. He still faced the warrior but didn't look back as he waited for a explanation. His eyes averted for now but still focused all the same.

"Right, so you met with the Captain of the patrol then?" Koma spoke into the ships communication device, a picture of Toru was displayed on a screen just above the communications station. The younger saiyan looked up at his uncle with a serious gaze, though he was only met with the older Saiyans goofy grin.
"Of course, just like you asked. They're rather excited at the idea and are willing to negotiate terms. They wanted to talk to the leader of the Remnant Alliance though before writing up formal papers or... whatever, so you're up at this point Koma. I know we run more like a government now but I think it would be best for you to talk to the Galactic Patrol yourself. This is going to be a big step forward." Toru's voice spoke through the screen, the man was looking through a large stack of papers he had acquired while on a quick mission to the galactic patrol headquarters. There was so much to go through it seemed they would never get through it, but if they could get through it and appeal to them, then the Remnant Alliance would have a job as hired muscle... which all in all wasn't bad. It would work wonders towards changing the image of the saiyans, the saiyans could still train and fight as warriors, but they wouldn't be creating war on a scale Nasu had been.
"Yeah... I'll head over shortly, I'll be taking Hotato and Kohlrabi with me as well. Just... had anyone from the Kingdom shown up yet?" Komatsu asked a little nervously now, he had a pit in the bottom of his stomach as he asked the question. He didn't know what they were up too now, without planet Saiya... without Nasu... there really was only a handful of them left. He wanted to offer them their home of course but that would only invite trouble to the Namekians who had already been so nice as to share their home. He rubbed the back of his neck now as he tried to think things through.
"There's been a few. Rensu, and Carva are both from the Kingdom and arrived not too long ago. Rensu's harmless for the most part, he's a cute kid but you can tell he's a saiyan to his core. Carva's... a bit of a different story. He hasn't caused trouble but that guy is a serious brute, and a loyal brute at that. I'm not sure if he's here in an attempt to spy or what but, we've been treating him like anyone else and he's been good." Toru reported to which Komatsu nodded. That he was fine with, though he had to admit he was surprised to hear that Carva was already back from the dead, if it was indeed the same Carva he had tried to knock out when he fought against Nasu... and Rensu, wasn't he that little kid who had been here as well? No matter, so long as they continued to not cause trouble then they could stay as long as they wanted.
'I really need to find Miso and Karota... and apologize.' He thought to himself with an exasperated sigh. That was the moment someone's voice echoed in his head, and Koma's first instinct was to push it out as he assumed it to be Jarvis. However, even before he could do so he recognized it as Cornatto's. The two had only ever met a few times but Koma couldn't forget him... he was one of his parent's friends who still held onto their old ideal... he was a man Koma could come to look up too, especially in light of recent events.
"Cornatto? Man the after-life needs a stronger barrier if everyone's jumping out so easily... uh... who is this Lagerus person? and why is he even thinking of a tournament right now?" Komatsu was just extremely confused at this point as to what the hell was going on. He didn't know anything about Lagerus or Whis, let alone the state of the universe. What he did know was that Cornatto was alive and he had to get to him before they took off. He gave a quick shout to Kohl and Hotato, letting them know where he was headed and thus giving them the option to follow if they wanted too, though as Komatsu left the ship a familiar presence made itself known. Jarvis, and he was right with Cornatto!
"Son of a bitch..." He cursed out loudly, flaring his aura before speeding away from the Redemption and speeding towards the lookout at top speed, even dipping into his Super Saiyan 4 transformation for a short time to boost himself even further.
When he landed on the lookout, it looked like something was already happening between the Saiyans and Komatsu grit his teeth angrily, lunging towards the diminutive Caesar and aiming to grab him by the collar to harshly yank him away from Cornatto.

After everything faded there was a.. light. Just a small beacon, nothing more. It illuminated the nothingness around it until it grew brighter and brighter. Swallowing whatever vision it was Flare was having. It would blind her and cover everything around it in a solid white until it vanished to leave behind a simple painting of a scene. The young flame, she was... driving? Kais know how long its been since she had to travel by vehicle like this. The feeling of euphoria and nostalgia come together as these dream like state took hold and felt as real as ever in her proximity. She'd feel around in the dream state at the steering. All the little buttons, switches, everything. The tactile feeling was there, it all felt too real. Was this what dying was like?
Silence was in the air until around her the outside was filled with imagery of rolling clouds and large rocky stone structures cascading upright. Yunzabit Heights? The sounds of wind and nature came on in an instant as the vehicle moved now on through this landscape it had built. The rush of air against her face and hair. There weren't many times she could say her dreams have been good. Now, if only Jax was here in his original form- And wouldn't you know, he popped into existence in the passenger seat just like that! The ride was a pleasantly smooth one, something she'd normally not been capable of due to her incompetence... But, this was just another dream right? Flare knew she wouldn't be here or doing any of this now. Then, why was this so much more uplifting? Vague memories clouded her mind as she tried thinking on it.
Nothing.
"Hostiles incoming, 180 degrees. Southbound. Initiating combat readiness protocol." The robot suddenly rambled off, but before he could even turn to glance around to the back some ball of energy tore through the car and went straight for her. Tearing through her abdomen the very split moment she lifted herself from the deep sleep she was in.
Flare was sound asleep in what she realized was her manor's room. All the decorations and nerdiness of the place setting her groggy memory off on it real easily. She was short of breath and gasping quick breaths as wide, panicked eyes scanned the room. She was quick to recover though and picked herself up to a sit. Her first instinct was to check that "hole" she both recalled last happened to her in the real life and dream, pressing a hand against her stomach to realize she was perfectly fine. Not a scratch on her. If this were the twilight zone she could rationalize hr whole life happening from a few years ago just being some fever dream. But no, she felt far too strong fro that to be... Her mere presence around her stuff lighting a calm flame that circled around her head.
"Hnn..." Auntie was quick to come up stairs to check on the wakened daughter of hers, opening the door and peeking in with a bit of curiosity at first. it flipped to a smile as she saw her little flame was alright. Quick for the elderly woman she was the caretaker would come around and hug the now conscious flame with a powerful embrace.
"Jackie! You had me worried SICK!" After the quick exchange Flare blinked and rubbed at her eyes before getting straight out of bed. She felt even better than she thought she would... How long was she out? Why wasn;t she dead, more like it? last thing she vividly remembered was a great ball tearing up her legs and pounding itself through her chest. In all ways she SHOULD be dead and probably deserved to be, had she... Done that technique again? Was she still so out of control in it?
"How... am I here?" It was probably the easiest question for the older lady to answer for her, Auntie taking in a deep breath and fixing the young flame's hair up as she sat.
"After I felt your presence vanish I thought I lost you... Chris, that young man. He came with you in tow and made sure you were well before parting. He told me you did very well and was going to be fine, but... I'm never sure with strangers. I doctored you up myself just to be sue, but you seem more chipper than I'd expect." Chipper? The hell was that suppose to mean? Flare would just snort and rub the back of her head before standing completely. Going over to get dressed as the older woman stepped aside and towards the door again.
"Lots of bad news about the environment and stability around the northerners... but national security is in check and hopefully everything will be okay from here on out. Your Niece and those colorful folk have more people here now and have been helping some in East City. We've been more fortunate than most. We have dinner being made, do you want to join us dear?" It was a pleasant thought, one she could relax to... but something egged on in the back of her head. The voice of someone she didn't recognize by words alone, but whose energy felt very real and familiar. It was that random man during that conflict prior. Wasn't he dead? She hadn't be out of commission THAT long! And why was he demanding her come up to the lookout? Lagerus? A tournament? Flare'd groan as she had gotten her clothes on and almost exit the door next to Auntie with her. Shaking her head.
"I'm.. afraid I've got some business. You can tell the others I'll meet them individually later. I'm sure that crowd is the organization my brother was talking about bringing." She'd have to remind herself to thank Chris for getting her alive somehow and go meet Komatsu after. They... still really never had made amends after the whole Jarvis thing. That battle before had further staggered that little date. And now she had to worry about this corn person calling her. On her way out she'd wave to some of the new faces and jettison off towards the lookout at a breakneck pace. up on the approach though she noted two other powers closing in there before her... It hadn't even been an hour since she got up and she'd have to deal with both Koma and Jarvis in the same place? The trio up top would feel the young flame's power raise as she growled and, with ease, assumed her mastered elemi form with ease as the new power she had obtained was far greater than before. The chamber really did wonders for her!
[Mastered Super Elemi[x38/x36]: 21,654,642/20,514,924 ]
"Alright! Why are you here, you son of a bitch? I'm about this close to kicking your ass and punting you off our planet! So start explainin'!" The furious woman would shout out as she stopped just above the trip and landed with a graceful but aggravated pit pat to the ground. The heat she put up uncomfortable at best to all involved. That dark, evil presence that was neither jarvis nor shizen... Was a kid? Still all the grating, the fiery woman would glare flaming daggers at the boy with balled up fists, taking only a moment to glance at Koma who was also dealing with him and the older man, Cornatto, who had called. If it weren't for the fact he was suppose to be dead she wouldn't have bothered checking this out.
"And how the hell are you still around? More than a few of us got punted to the afterlife from that battle, I myself should have been included in that... What's this all about with a "Lagerus" and some tournament? Is this really the damn time for something like that?" She had far long been ignored and forsaken by the higher beings, so she'd not even know who he was referring to. In the middle of it all.. SSJ4 Koma, she'd try to telepath as calmly as the raving woman could. A heat in the back of his mind built up as she did so.
["Hey, Chris ain't around. Mind telling me how the hell I survived that prick brother of yours?"]
It didn’t certainly take long for the warriors to gather, although it had gone a little bit too off track in regards to what Cornatto had to imagine, but he couldn’t expect anything too concrete given he didn’t actually know the kids too much-- not to mention that Corn was supposed to be dead, so he was sure there would have been a little bit of concern about what he was still doing in the world of the living. Either way, though, the first one to visit wasn’t certainly the one he had to expect to come first; Komatsu, given he was a Saiyan, perhaps he would have hurried there, but the one to come was Jarvis.
The Earthling Saiyan had never seen the guy before, but he had sensed his presence back during the whole Tree of Might fiasco and although he had mixed feelings about him; he had an amazing power, but not the friendliest of ki and not to mention his history with the others. Or well, from what he had heard at least, Jarvis had been the one to wipe out both the Outpost and Natto, and he couldn’t help but feel a small tie down his chest as he looked at him approach.
He hated to admit it but if Caesar felt like punching him because of his reasons, so did Cornatto because of what he had done, regardless of how chill and sweet Corn could be, everything had a limit, and that came to the friendly, earthling too. The Saiyan, though, also knew that this was more than just another fight of his or indeed anything else but a battle; this time, he would have had to get at least the strongest five to work together for once, either that or they’d have had a hard time to even aim towards victory in the Tournament of Power.
[Super Saiyan Two Full Power [x32] | Power Level: 11.603.136]
But, when he could finally pick up on Jarvis’ malevolent energy, he realized he’d have ought to be a tad more careful than what he had imagined, and thus, he flared his ki up and ascended to the second level of the Super Saiyan transformation. He showed off his sparkling, rigid, blonde spikes as electricity surrounded him as he faced the boy of smaller stature, whom, as soon as he had the opportunity, planted a fist in Cornatto’s stomach.
The impact alone caused the Saiyan’s firm posture and balance to break, his expression wider than earlier in a shocked and painful manner. He felt an empty sensation within his stomach as he felt his punch leave him out of air for a brief moment and all that was left was a stinging sensation that gradually made the Turtle Hermit’s posture to bend slightly forward, inches away from Caesar’s shoulder as he turned his head and glared at him and quickly aimed to connect with a punch of his own to the child’s stomach.
“Hehe... Oh well, I guess it can’t be helped. My bad. My hand slipped.”
The dark-haired man’s glare turned then into a grin for a brief moment, perhaps in delight that his hit would be directed towards the person that blew up Natto and killed Galen or just as an aggressive and humorous response to his strike that was followed by words that Cornatto couldn’t really understand as he had no idea about what Jarvis was talking about. Lagerus had told him only about the tournament, but he was mostly sure that she hadn’t even mentioned anything in regards to any of the fighters if not their names-- those that would have been selected first for the team.
Soon enough, more and more people arrived-- one of them was Komatsu that quickly grasped for the boy and pulled him away, not that it made much of a difference to Cornatto but that aside, he was glad to see that at least Komatsu had made it alive, while his brother had lost his life. Once more when he looked at him, he could see the results of their genetics as Komatsu looked a lot more like his mother than Nasu and the Saiyan King looked just like Natto.
“Haha, yo! It’s been a little while, Koma! Nice to see you’re still around here. It makes things a lot easier for me,” - he said and smiled at the fellow Saiyan, although the circumstances weren’t delightful at all. Though, hey! Wasn’t it starting to become one hell of a powerhouse? There was like a Super Saiyan Two, Four and also a…-- he didn’t know what Jarvis was, but he was mighty! The third one was also arriving, and she had even begun to emit a remarkable amount of energy as she approached the Lookout.
But, Corn did take a few moments to focus on Koma. “So, that’s Super Saiyan Four… Not my style but it’s pretty cool!”
Soon, Flare also joined them as Cornatto blinked and watched as the group apparently didn’t seem to get quite along with a particular person among them, but well, he seriously didn’t expect things to turn from zero to a hundred that quickly. The Earthling Saiyan waited to speak until he was addressed and there he chuckled with amusement as he pointed out at the angelic halo above his head. He didn’t know why but it was hilarious as hell for him to point out that he was still dead and yet in the living world but again, he was also surprised that they didn’t apparently know who Lord Lagerus was.
The man tapped his chin and nodded to himself. “Alright! I guess I’ll have to say all the story. In a few words! I don’t know if you guys know the Kais, basically the Gods that create stuff-- they aren’t usually that strong but then there are the Gods of Destruction, basically Lagerus-sama, and they’re like… incredibly powerful! So yeah,” - he paused for a moment and glanced at Flare. “That’s who Lagerus-sama is.”
The man soon cleared his throat and resumed his speech with no longer a smile but a rigid, far more serious expression than earlier. “Now, above her, there are other people and the highest person is the King of All-- Zenou-sama. Now, apparently, this guy is super pissed off at us because planets have been gone ‘kaboom’ left and right and many strong people have also lost their lives. Result of that? There is some weird number that is uh, the average strength of our Universe and thus, it’s got very low-- so, Zenou-sama wanted to erase our Universe. And just to make sure, getting erased is one thing-- dying is another. You don’t go to the Afterlife; you just stop existing.”
The raven-haired man let his arms lift up to his torso and fold over his powerful torso and looked at each one of them. “That’s what the Tournament of Power is for, there is another Universe that risks erasure and for one reason and the other, they decided to do it like this; the Universe that will win the tournament shall survive, the other gets erased. So, it’s either them or us,” - soon his lips grew into a warrior’s smirk, and his head lowered a little, but his gaze didn’t drop. “And personally I’m all excited about it! There are gonna be lots of strong guys, that’s why we need you guys too!”

It was a fun sensation to have knocked some power from one who had summoned him. A little bit of his annoyance released for the bother as well as towards the annoying wet dog bitch that had forced him in this situation. But just as he did so a fist surprised him as he hadn't expected the man to take it as well as he did. An still have enough strength to answer back nearly that fast. His small stomach had been taken by the fist and while the power was enough to heavily damage him truly. The surprise and unpreparedness for it and shocked and jolted his small frame. A light gasp just barely breaking his lips as he looked up at the man lurching over just lightly upon the fist before easing back off of it still standing. But giving him a twitching eye expression as he fought to keep his grin and hide any sign of actual pain. He'd yanked from the hands of other saiyan as well given blows had already been exchanged. Quickly with a small glimmer of magic readjusting his apparel so he didn't look drabbled so his appearance would remain as glamorous as it always was.
He turned and looked at Komatsu then to flare... Then turned back to Cornatto ignoring their words and any aggravation or intention towards them. With a turn of his head he treated it as if they weren't even there. Turning back to corn a hand lightly upon his own stomach as he gave a light jeer and snarky snort. "I could care less about what the dog wants or her master. You know full well why I came. The universe doesn't concern me nor does existence. If not for a select few souls I'd be fully willing to allow such a fate to come to pass. But my deal alone is light for such services. You already have power you can call upon I imagine if even the dead such as you can stir about for this. I'd desire something else though. How long would this tournament take? Does it finish quickly? Does it take a matter of days? Weeks? Do you even know? Or has the dog just sent you to fetch for her." The fact he was here was enough he felt to say he was at least considering the prior offer. But he was still none to pleased with it all as was clear from his behavior. Still eyeing corn with a angry expression but keeping a smirk lightly. A sensation stuck in his gut.

Koma was absolutely livid as he yanked Jarvis away from Cornatto after the short tussle between the two. Neither of them seemed truly phased by the other's attacks which he supposed was a good thing... but Cornatto seemed to be having entirely too much fun with the child like Jarvis. Just what the heck was going on with Jarvis anyways, why was he a kid? Did this have something to do with his kai powers? Did he use the dragonballs again to wish himself young or something? That would have been a stupid waste of a wish for an 'immortal god'.
He would growl softly, refusing to let Jarvis go just yet, but not doing any further harm to him. He would glance at Cornatto when he commented on his Super Saiyan 4 transformation and would only nod towards him until he felt a pressure press against his mind as Flare tried talking to him. He would scowl and turn sharply towards the fire elemi, a look of anger just as intense as when he had grabbed Jarvis.
"You stay the fuck out of my head, got that!? Go talk to your Earthling friends since you're all part of the same garbage heap." He stated coldly and sharply, only turning back towards Cornatto when he seemed to address them all... calmly? What the hell happened in the after-life to give the man such a carefree attitude? He was face to face with Jarvis and didn't flinch...
Though Cornatto was soon beginning to explain himself, talking about gods above the kai's known as Gods of Destruction, and this Lagerus person was one of them and was incredibly strong. No doubt Nasu would jump at the opportunity to challenge them like an idiot... and part of his own saiyan blood started to excite him but he quickly suppressed it. He wasn't after a 'good fight', he had people to protect.
However, that's when Cornatto stopped making sense... he was talking about the amount of planets that had been destroyed, some... numbers? associated to their universe and gods even higher than the newly discovered god of destruction? Komatsu would raise an eyebrow as he looked at Corn strangely. Had death scrambled his brains? What the hell was he talking about? He didn't say a word yet though, letting the man finish explaining before trying to make sense of everything he'd just said.
"So... Some really high up, powerful god says our universes number isn't high enough so he wants to erase us? and that's not just death it's like, gone forever.... and this tournament thing against another universe is the only way to save us? That's kind of a lot to believe Corn... I mean the idea of coming and going from the after-life alone is kind of a big revelation. You sure about this? What about mom and dad? Shouldn't they be going around recruiting people for this thing? I mean it would make it more believable for Nasu, Cambia and I anyways." He noted, now purposely ignoring Flare and looking back to the miniature Jarvis.
"And what the hell is your deal anyways? Why are you suddenly a kid and how the fuck do you keep coming back hunh? How many times am I going to have to kick your ass back to hell. If all of this is true, then it's your fault anyways so why the hell shouldn't WE erase you here?" He asked threateningly, though surprisingly would let go of his collar, something in his very core telling him that he shouldn't be keeping a grip on him.

“Fucking Seriously?! You guys know what's at stake and you're still fighting each other? I hate all of you just as much as most you hate me, but I’m putting that aside for a month so that the universe still exists after this tournament.”
Tomina walked into view, her power suppressed completely. She had arrived on Earth a little while ago, although she had waited and surveyed the situation, making sure it wasn't a trap. She decided it wasn't the moment Cornatto started trying to convince everyone there to join the tournament. None of them would join forces with Caesar unless the universe was actually in danger of being erased.
Tomina crossed her arms, glowering over at the Alliance leader. His anger at Caesar was more than understandable, but Flare had fought with him to protect Earth. Now he being almost as nasty to her as he was Caesar. What the hell was going on?
“I don't know where your sudden hatred for Earth and the people who inhabit it come from, but now isn’t the time to make new enemies and have infighting. I’m a little offended actually, since you worked so hard to stop Earth from being destroyed and now you hate it. You killed your brother for a place you don't even like. Although while we're on the subject matter, I’m a fucking horrible person who contributed to the mess we’re in. Feel free to try and kick the shit out of me after all this is over.”
Tomina turned her head so that she was now looking at Cornatto. She didn't want to even look at most of these people any longer then she actually had to. Yet her next words were still aimed at Komatsu.
“Simply killing Caesar is pretty much meaningless at this point. The afterlife seems to be a revolving door that anyone with a decent amount of strength can just walk through. Hell, Nasu’s ship didn't even have time to make it to another planet before Cornatto came and recruited me for the this tournament. And he hadn’t even been dead for a day! Then he talked about planning to recruit Nasu out of hell. How simple he put it made it sound as easy as blowing up a city filled with humans."
Tomina strode towards the now childlike Caesar, gazing upon him with utter contempt. She look disgusted, like she was looking at a pile of feces that grew two legs and was now walking around. Tomina had hated this guy the second most out of everything that existed, although after actually listening to the guy, he just barely managed to surpass Natto and the alliance.
What they had done to her was far worse than what Caesar had done to wrong her directly. Not only did the majority of the people she cared about died in the Alliance Empire war, she had been forced to kill former comrades she had fought beside for years. Yet at least the Alliance actually cared about the existence of the universe and had their own values.
Caesar on the other hand, seemed to have almost no values at all, other then a few other people he claimed to care about. He was cataclysm, a one person apocalypse that destroyed entire planets. He seemed to have no goals, no reason for all the wanton destruction that hr spread everywhere. Did he just hate everything? Not even his own existence meant anything to him it seemed.
Tomina had killed more than a few people in her life. Hell, she enjoyed killing those people. So it wasn't all the deaths and suffering Caesar had caused that she objected to. It was putting their universe on the brink of destruction for seemingly no reason that pissed her off the most. If it weren't for the fact that he had agreed to fight in the tournament at all, she would have sworn that universal destruction was his goal. But that couldn't be the case.
Which was why she was standing a few feet from him, staring at him murderously. Tomina’s gaze looked intense enough to melt boulders. It looked as though she was trying to incinerate him with her eyes. Instead of doing anything like that though, she instead answered the questions he had for the tournament.
“I don’t know what the fuck you are at this point and I don't care as long as I don't have to repeat myself. This tournament takes place in about a month. Our team of 10 will be put against their team of 10, and the team left standing at the end of the day is the winner. They’ll be one on one matches with no rest in between them, winner decides the fate of the loser. There's also a few stupid rules in there, but that's the gist of things.”
Tomina pivoted on her heel, walking over to stand beside Cornatto. So far she thought she was handling things well, given the circumstances. Although time would tell whether or not she would actually manage to keep her composure. Next she turned her attention to Cornatto, asking him about something that had been on her mind since their last encounter.
“You said back on the ship that there was a method where we could get stronger within a short period of time. We don’t have all 10 people gathered yet, but we have all the major fighters apart from Nasu here. A years worth of training within a month… how is that accomplished?”
Throughout the entire exchange, Tomina hadn’t given Flare even a glance. It might have had something to do with the fact that she was still bitter about her loss to the Fire Elemi. She had been in control the entire fight, only to have the rug pulled out from under her feet. She was more mad at herself for that loss though: she had an opportunity to end it, but didn’t take it. Tomina’s gaze shifted back to Jarvis, looking at him wearily. Out of all the people here, he was the most dangerously unpredictable one. She was going to have to keep on her toes around him.
When the two major forces collided in a little show, perhaps of power or just even for the satisfaction of getting at least a punch in— both for Jarvis, who had apparently more than a few buttons touched onto his nerves because of Lagerus and what had happened previously to his powers and also for Cornatto. Although he didn’t particularly show any angst, he didn’t forget that Galen had died because of this… child. He couldn’t actually believe that the guy that had done so much was right there and even then, one could see also just why the Earthling Saiyan used to be the Major of the Alliance and also one of those whom Natto wished to become Councilor. Many other Saiyans would have likely just tried to kill Jarvis right there, but maybe either age or his cheerful and benevolent personality, Corn didn’t really aim for any ‘real’ harm at Caesar.
Although he had to say, that fist he had engraved in his stomach, that felt good. After he had seen Galen anguish because of his loss, after how he felt because of how useless he felt and also the destruction of the ruins and Planet Natto, a fist was the minimum Jarvis was going to get from him. He didn’t mean any harm towards any creature, by all means, but that fist felt like it had at least sealed a little meaning beneath the countless deaths of the King of Hell— whether it was Saiyan blood or not.
The man snickered softly to himself until Komatsu pulled him away and watched as the two weren’t apparently in good relations either. It was kind of to be expected before Cornatto had even arrived at the Lookout, he already knew that there’d have been countless problems with the whole team. Unfortunately, there was little to do, Corn wasn’t certainly one to work with other people’s minds and all, so he was clueless as to which strings he should have pulled. He knew that, though, if they wanted to survive, they would have had at least tried not to kill each other.
Cornatto straightened his back and stared at the two with a blank and watchful expression. He tried not to show any signs of pain either, although he felt his gut sting ever so slightly at the punch from the little kid, he wasn’t certainly a child to be underestimated, although he had seriously expected someone of a greater posture and whatnot. The Turtle Hermit had to say, though, he could surely barely understand the child. Corn wasn’t sure what the other was talking about, perhaps because he talked a little too much in-depth or anything and the Saiyan was a lot more for straight and right into the point speeches. But it was strange that he didn’t even care for the Universe that much apparently, given the fact that the King of All would have erased the entire Universe as a whole and not only the planets, the galaxy— but its people, too.
“I can’t really give you much, but the tournament will end in forty-five minutes. It’s a time limit, so we’d be back home in less than an hour,” - said the man before he folded his arms over his chest and frowned. “You do know that if the universe is erased, we’re also done for, right? That includes you and even the God of Destruction.”
Flare had also arrived already but the whole group seemed to be too much involved in personal squabbles and whatnot. It wasn’t exactly the perfect ambient to form a team, especially one that would have to work together just in case. It was true that the matches were supposed to be one on one, but apparently, the King of All could be quite unpredictable and easily excitable, so it could have ended up into something different from what they were expecting. It was definitely not the best of situations for a tournament, nor the time for one, given the fact that everyone was basically done killing each other and send the other back and forth from the otherworld. But, Cornatto himself didn’t mind it, to say the least. He had honestly received quite well— maybe a little bit too well— the news of a tournament. It excited him.
Cornatto lifted his eyebrows in surprise when apparently Komatsu snapped at Flare for some reason; he didn’t immediately get it but it was pretty simple to guess that there had been a faint telepathic contact between the two. He didn’t exactly know what it was about and honestly, he didn’t really care unless it involved their current situation or something but he could tell that Komatsu didn’t appreciate it and actually made Corn giggle softly a bit as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“Hahaha… I don’t exactly know you, kids, too well. But well, Koma, I was born an Earthling too…”
The Earthling Saiyan excused himself out of that little insult towards the Earthlings without much other than his goofiness and cheerful behavior without too much of a snark directed towards him or his statement; he knew that there was only bad water currently, at least, from what he knew, it wasn’t like there had been that much peace between the several factions in the Universe. On the other hand, there was a huge amount of chaos and he also blamed that poor woman— Karota, he felt like he probably owed her an apology for that little banter they had.
The martial artist had not found mastery of the Super Saiyan Two transformation at the time, so it was quite difficult for him to contain himself in such a chaotic situation, but he was quite glad that he had died— surprisingly! It had been one of the best experiences he ever had before. He had learned new tricks and also managed to power up considerably from the point he was at previously, in a short deal of time, or well, six months weren’t certainly a little deal but still quite a short time indeed.
At one point, though, shortly after the small comment, another figure showed up— although the fact that she didn’t suppress herself, she hadn’t quite been noticed because of the huge amount of powerhouses gathered in one place, given that she hadn’t transformed herself. While in the same place there was a girl with a flaming power in her hair, the King of Hell, a Super Saiyan Four and Cornatto himself, who had turned into the Ascended Super Saiyan shortly after the ‘air’ changed.
Air? Yes, things were pretty much tense and one didn’t have to be an actual sentient creature to realize it. It was a tension that would make a person’s back shiver and possibly only wonder what would have happened if just the smallest act of violence would occur and not be put to a halt.
The Earthling Saiyan had no idea if the sudden addition could be considered an actual benefit or if it would have made it worse, certainly, Tomina didn’t introduce herself with the kindest of words, as to which the Saiyan jumped in amusement, he hadn’t definitely expected her to be there already. He eyed her with wide, curious eyes as he let her talk while his lips remained still and silent before he let out a faint giggle. “Hehe… Well, she’s kinda right to hate you all. You guys gotta see the big picture and all! I mean, personally, I have no problems with the tournament! I’m all pumped up for this fight!” - exclaimed the man with a faint smile on his face, hopefully trying to at least break the boiling spirits beneath the conversation.
Cornatto had to say, though, most of the things they were talking about were almost out of the world. He had no idea what the hell had happened while he was off the grand scheme of things, but it looked like whatever chemistry there could have been among the group was long since destroyed. Was it that hard to get along? The man was also a war veteran and everything, but to think that a bunch of warriors who were at least beyond the mature age— or almost at least, couldn’t even just team up, for one thing, was pretty strange and very awkward.
“I am not too sure myself about all of your problems with Earth. Sure I have heard we’ve not had the best Guardian and all, but I seriously don’t understand most of your problems with the Earthlings. The Dragon Balls are not active, there is literally nothing that they can give you or any of them has really done much— and even if they did, it’s that individual’s fault. That was the mistake Kami-sama did years ago, to judge all of the Saiyans instead of Lettis alone. You should learn from them!”
Tomina then, hinted at just how feeble the barrier within the Afterlife was and Corn could actually agree with that if people revived left and right. In a certain sense, the Saiyan would have been fine with staying in there but he wasn’t certainly going to skip such an event! And there, the man just affirmed her statement with a chuckle. “Well yeah, a Kai teleported me there. It’s not like I can go everywhere like this on my own…—yet.”
The master of two schools remarked with a smirk before Tomina decided to take the command of things and explain out how the tournament would have worked out and that was about right. Although he didn’t actually know if they were totally going to be one on one matches, from what he knew, that was supposed to be so, either way, he didn’t mind at all! When she passed on the rules, though, Cornatto decided to slide in and give his input.
“Mhm. No flight and items. I am not sure what happens if you break them, so you might want to watch out— they may as well erase you from what I have heard. So yeah, be careful.”
Komatsu commented shortly as to how absurd the situation felt like and also hinted at his mom and dad and that made Cornatto’s heart skip a little— wasn’t he aware of the situation? The Earthling Saiyan stared at him silently but with his expression a little darker than earlier when he mentioned Natto. It wasn’t definitely the easiest of things to talk about, not to mention that Tomoroko had lost her powers. He didn’t quite know a pleasant way for him to know about all of it, so he guessed to do the most logical thing he could think up; hold him up, for the moment at least.
It wasn’t the right time.
Not with this atmosphere. The kids might have seriously ended up killing each other or something. Cornatto furrowed his brow as he looked straight at Komatsu and nodded.
“Yeah, we need to talk about that… I met your mom, anyway! She— uh, still packs a punch, yeah. Hah!”
Cornatto replied with his lips curled up into a smile, hoping that it’d reassure him at least. Then he looked at Tomina, as the younger Saiyan questioned him and what he had told her that time. The man hummed softly for a moment before he nodded his head a few times.
“To be precise, it’s a year worth of training in one day. But we’ll have to take turns. Basically, on this Lookout, there is a chamber— I call it the Room of Spirit and Time. It takes you to another dimension, where the time is slower and one day here, it’s one year in there. So, you’ll have to train for one year, but once you step out, only one day will have passed. The place is worse than a gravity chamber at its highest setting, so it’s not easy at all. And do not try to sneak in after this tournament, hehe. It needs Kami-sama’s approval to enter in any way. It’s only meant to be used when it’s necessary.”
Then his gaze shifted towards the group in general and hardened a little— in a serious expression as he tried to be clear with them once and for all.
“I have fought Lagerus-sama, Koma. Both your brother and I gave her a power that is about the Super Saiyan Three output. The thing is, it didn’t even faze her. When she came on Kaio-sama’s planet to talk me into this, she wasn’t in the best of moods. If this King of All can scare someone as powerful as her, then I have no reason to doubt it— or at least to believe her. So, without further questions, are you in or out?”
He'd only snort lightly not even turning to face the saiyan warrior. The male had had the chance to gain true power and awakening but trapped himself to more lowly petty desires. His goals would likely never truly align with the god kings like he'd hoped once so long ago. "My transformation and its coming conclusion are none of your concern. Neither is your boasts or more often failing then not threats." His eyes not even seeming to glance in Tomina's direction in fact his lack of reaction made any of her words that may have been intended towards him seemed to be completely ignored. Without even a edge of spite or the tiniest bit of acknowledgement. It would almost perhaps appear as if he hadn't even heard her. Perhaps as if she wasn't there truly at all.
"Truly annoying this is... Such a result at such a time with other plans I'd been making. Hmm... I was sent away rather abruptly by that strange blue being that accompanies the demon bitch. I want my powers back and I have perhaps only a handful of souls that give any desire to caring if this existing continues to go on. So my answer is quite plainly and simply no unless she comes to me herself." Straightening up his back a little as fixing his clothing. "Give word to your master messenger if she wishes me to aid I shall only when she comes to me herself and asks. If the dog woman does this then I'll lend my aid to this endeavor. If not... well I suppose that wouldn't be much my concern then. If you have any ability to contact her and summon her now even I'll wait. If not I must be going... Besides its without her personal asking and bestowing my powers back to their prior functionality I'd be going at a disadvantage anyway. If they truly desire that power then they'd not desire it to be entered in a weakened state after all." He'd say looking off into the distance as if considering soon parting.

Komatsu couldn't remove his gaze from Jarvis, glaring and nearly snarling at the prick that quite literally ruined his life. He hated this guy with every fiber of his being! How the hell was Cornatto expecting him to put everything aside and work next to this fucker?! The only reason he was considering it, was that he sounded serious when he said that the Universe was at stake... that meant everything he was working towards, Kohl, the revival of the saiyan race, would be for nothing if they lost. He would sigh heavily crossing his arms and just about to give Cornatto an answer when his eyes narrowed further... a new power level landing on the lookout that caused him to instinctively wrap his tail around his waist and grip himself hard, as if forcing himself to stay in one spot and not jump at Tomina.
He couldn't let her see that she still bothered him after all this time, and even though he was stronger than her now. Some scars had faded, but there were mental marks that would always be present.
"I don't have any beef with Earth, Cornatto. I've tried time and time again to mend our relationship with those protecting it. My beef is with the hot head herself, but don't worry that doesn't mean I'm going to do anything about it." He assured the elder saiyan as his eyes would once more fall onto Jarvis who seemed to call out this god of Destruction, saying he would refuse to help unless she showed up. While Komatsu was curious as to what a God of Destruction was like, his statement only served to enrage the young saiyan further. Even Tomina's comments didn't carry as much weight as this man's did with him.
"I seriously hate you... both of you... and the only reason I'm agreeing to this is because my people are at stake, I couldn't give a crap about the rest of you. Oh, and good luck getting into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber without a Kami here to unlock it. Good old Jie Shan was struck down by this idiot ." He said, pointing with his thumb towards Jarvis as he would finally step forward towards Cornatto, moving to stand face to face with the older man, turning his back to both Tomina and Jarvis.
"I have to head home before all of this, so I'm going to leave right away, but you can count be into this thing. I'll make sure to train up anyone who might have enough strength to help us, just in case no one shows up at this one's beck and call." He would note, nodding his head towards Jarvis before lifting himself up into the air and then taking off away from the lookout with a simple flare of his crimson red aura.

"Honestly, the children of this time are so loud and obnoxious" A sudden voice would sound from behind Cornatto. At first, no one would be able to see the deity standing there, but as Lagerus stepped out from behind him, it was as if she stepped out of his very shadow. She would stand next to Cornatto with both of her hands behind her back, her copper eyes gazing at everyone gathered here. She had heard much about The Saiyan Overseer, Komatsu as well as the idiot Kai Jarvis... She wasn't sure who this girl was, but if Cornatto had recruited her then she clearly had strength in spades. Or so she hoped that her chosen champion could recruit fighters properly.
"The Tournament of Power is truthfully, a horrifying competition. While the outcome seems grim, there is a silver lining. The winners of the competition will have a wish granted by the most powerful wishing orbs in existence. They are much like your wishing orbs here but can do infinitely more. If winning for our Universes Survival isn't enough of a motivation for her, then perhaps you can succumb to your greed and seek the power of this wish. Jarvis, I do not ask anyone to fight in this tournament, if you wish not too, then face your extinction like the others. It should only be about 45 minutes from the time we start. However, your powers will not be granted to you unless you fight for our Universe. You need to be at your strongest potential, so of course I will give you your powers back once you agree.
Now, before anyone asks what is to prevent you from fleeing once your powers have been returned, well they will be conditionally returned. Until the end of the tournament of power you will need to be within close proximity to myself to maintain them. If you get too far, then they will once more be stripped from you." She stated seriously, her gaze now fully focused on the self proclaimed god king. She knew that he wasn't one for deals, and this really wasn't one. It was either, get lost and live out your few remaining days without your power, or fight and get them back.
"As for you, Saiyan Overseer. Unfortunately you are no longer able to use the time chamber here on Earth? Can you? You have 2 days to finish your preparations on your home planet, and my attendant will come to fetch you." With that, her eyes then fell on Tomina. No words escaped her lips, instead she just assessed the hybrids power with her eyes. On first glance, she wasn't impressive... however just like Lagerus herself, she knew these mortals had learned to hide their true power.

Well at least Tomina had a vague idea of how the tournament was going to play out. It was going to be decided in a short amount of time. Her eyes glinted briefly and briefly flickered over to Cornatto when he mentioned that Earth’s dragonballs were out of commission. This was all important information that she was storing away for later.
Tomina’s head snapped towards Cornatto, staring open mouthed as he revealed the existence of what he called the time chamber. Every time Tomina thought that nothing else could shock her, the existence of something unbelievable kept on coming up and punching her in the guy.
“Are you fucking serious? Earth has something like that on it?! How’s that even…”
Tomina couldn't even finish her sentence. She closed her mouth, looking away and ruffling the front of her hair with her fingertips. It was just so outlandish that she wouldn't have normally believed it. Although a lot of things started to make sense if she did accept that this existed. <So that's how the defenders of Earth are so strong: they can get a years worth of training on the fly! An invasion from Nasu certainly counts as an emergency. The Kais probably warned them that we were coming. We were at a disadvantage from the start then… but…>
Tomina felt strangely at ease by the existence of this room. She had been enraged that she had been weaker than her aunt. She had trained all her life, had more experience, and was selectively bred to be an efficient killing machine. So her aunt being stronger then her was absolutely maddening. But now it made sense.
<That time chamber is how she surpassed me. She was naturally strong to begin with, but that was all she had. She could only win against experienced fighters by overpowering them. Had she not used the time chamber, she wouldn't have been able to stand up to me. That's how I lost to an inferior being. That time chamber is a unbelievable asset.>
Caesar wouldn't even acknowledge that she had spoken to him in any way. She honestly didn't think it was possible that she could hate this guy any more than she already did, but he somehow kept finding ways to make it happen. Well two could play at that game: she wasn't going to give him any acknowledgment either.
Tomina lowered her hand, narrowing her eyes over at Komatsu. Even without all the history between the two of them, she still would be maddened by his behavior.
“Not being able to get in affects all of us. I fucking despise all of you. That even includes our Captain. And I’m likely going to hate the rest of the people Cornatto decides on. The only person I can tolerate is Nasu, and even then he looks like the person responsible for the death of everyone I gave a shit about. I can put all of that aside for one day, and everyone else needs to as well. It's a fight for survival, and there's no way I’m backing down from a challenge like this."
A very familiar voice made Tomina’s eyes widen in horror and her blood run cold. She whirled around to see the God of Destruction herself. She didn’t hesitate and immediately knelt down on one knee, hastily bowing her head before the God of Destruction.
“Lord Lagerus! It's an honor for you to grace our presence, madame!”
Tomina was a very prideful individual, and normally wouldn't have bowed before anyone. However this was someone she did not want to even risk angering. Lagerus’s power was by far the most destructive she had ever seen. She doubted even Nasu’s God form would give him a chance: given by how easily she had disclosed the ritual to the Saiyan king, she clearly wasn't worried about how much power it gave him.
Well, it was official. If Lagerus herself was talking about the Tournament of Power, then everything Cornatto had told her was true. Tomina resolve was stronger then it had ever been in years. The super dragonballs were enticing, but she had something more important to fight for than simply survival or just the chance to have a wish granted. Something other then her own existence was at risk, and she was going to do everything in her power to preserve that.
Tomina raised her head once Lagerus directly addressed Caesar, explaining in detail his role in the tournament. Apparently he had some of his power taken away from him. She rubbed the back of her head as she fully processed the insanity of the situation.
“We really fucked up royal, didn't we? Someone as monstrously strong as yourself has gone so far as to essentially bribe someone to participate in this tournament for their strength. Someone who has made it clear that he doesn't care if the Universe ends. If existence itself isn't enough to motivate people and make them look past their differences for a short period of time, then it's no wonder we’re in this position to begin with.”
Tomina slowly climbed to her feet, her eyes locking with the God of Destruction’s. She felt as though those golden orbs were piercing her very soul. Suddenly keeping her power hidden seemed to take everything she had. She dropped her suppression, her full base power on full display for Lagerus to feel.
“I have a mountain of questions I want to ask you. Even if we're successful in winning, there's still the overall mortal level to deal with, and I don’t know much about it. None of it matters if we don't win the tournament, so for now the only question I have is how much do you know about our opponents? Even if you don't know who they have picked, I presume you know about their universe. Anything that would help increase our chances would be a big help.”
Tomina still felt weary around a being who could effortlessly swat her down like Lagerus. Yet there was clearly a fire in her eyes. She was putting all her effort towards this tournament. She wouldn't let everything disappear, no matter what was thrown her way.

He'd snort at her words hardly even giving a look of surprise when she'd arrived. The wolfy all proper and high and mighty as well. His snort more in reply to her words then anything else though. She was a bit smarter then she looked. She would not simply heel or roll over to the commands. He liked that to some degree but still held a grade of a annoyance at the whole situation. Taking several moments seemingly thinking over her offer as he started her with cold calculating eyes. "So be it, I'll aid you in this endeavor. I'll help fix what the rest of the higher gods were incompetent as well as unable to prevent. I'll have to attend with some matters soon though so you'll have to call upon me when the time is right." He'd say softly rolling his eyes a bit at the clear annoyance of it all.
He'd fold his arms behind his back and would take his leave soon if this was all well and good finished. He'd listen to the female saiyan speak only giving her a slight glare of annoyance and watching Lagerus closely after waiting for this all to be concluded. A little amused he was able to summon to make such deals instead of the saiyan she'd sent being enough. He felt a tad bit of joy and knowing he'd forced her hand to appear before him. The need of his power was something he found quite comical to some regard. He watched her waiting for her to answer Tomina as he clearly looked Lagerus from top to bottom. The same eyes he'd make towards anyone of his past conquests. He didn't hide it either as he wanted her to see him doing it. If she concluded then he'd take his leave after she did

Cornatto watched as he couldn’t quite tell what was the deal with most of these kids. In the end, they all had some squirmish, but it looked like those injuries were too deep to be healed and perhaps it was only a matter of time until they would have. Or perhaps, it was only because Cornatto was pretty much a neutral figure to most of them— given he had merely involved himself with most of the conflicts in this age, but it was quite unusual as to how hard-headed each one of them wouldn’t give up on their hate. It was just like they couldn’t understand that the Universe was in peril, at least Tomina could more or less comprehend that. Even then, though, it wasn’t like she was in the best of her mood. But he had to say, that he probably expected this behavior from most of the team; except Cervez and Nasu, probably. He had no idea. He barely knew the kids and only time would have revealed the outcome of the tournament.
The Earthling Saiyan tilted his head ever so slightly as Caesar mentioned something in regards to a transformation. “Huh? So he looked differently before I guess,” - he thought to himself until he switched his gaze once more towards Komatsu. While he spoke no word towards Jarvis, it was hell obvious the two weren’t friends at all. It was something that he had already noticed when all the kids arrived on the Lookout, though, so there was no surprise about that. It was just pretty weird that all these people would be located on Earth and still took no action towards the other.
The Turtle Hermit almost believed a fight would have erupted any moment. He couldn’t have cared less if the two hurt each other, because at the moment, what he needed them to do was at least be calm and get over the tournament. Personally, Cornatto didn’t like Jarvis either, more so he obviously preferred Komatsu because of the kid’s heritage but other than that— he didn’t give much other than a fair and neutral treatment to everyone. Although, he used to be very friendly to mostly anyone. No matter who they were, most of the time, of course unless they were all but people he could relate with— he could not forgive what the guy did to Galen, after all.
Then, the long and dark-haired Saiyan boy answered Cornatto’s remark as to how the guy had no beef with Earth, and that was a little bit reassuring. He didn’t want his homeworld to be in the middle of all these conflicts and all, matter of fact, Corn was pretty sure that after the tournament, he would have also dedicated himself to his planet prior to anything else. Not to mention, though, the fact that some parts of Earth were still heavily damaged and possibly for a long time yet to come. Just maybe.
Who knew.
“That’s nice to hear, but there’s no need to have any beef really! Look, I dunno what your deal is, kids. But honestly all this tension won’t get you anywhere, I tell ya’— I don’t look old but I do have some years on my back, hehe!”
The man said cheerfully, definitely making quite a contrast among them all but either way, he guessed that it was about it, there was little else to do about the situation, other than trying to make it better. Though, he had to say, that some of them were a little funny, especially Tomina’s reaction at the news of the chamber’s existence which was kind of hilarious. Cornatto giggled and folded his arms over his chest.
“Haha! Yep. But it’s not like you can use it all the time. It’s only twice in a lifetime, so yeah. But it’s pretty tough, I tell ya’. It takes a thousand times the effort of any gravity chamber, for an entire year, too! Let’s just say that the benefit is worth the effort,” - said the man until his gaze curiously switched towards the blue-haired fellow as he talked about stuff and powers, to which, he didn’t understand a single word.
The master of two martial arts was quite confused as he heard Caesar spill words on dog masters and whatnot, he couldn’t quite get it all but he guessed it was to be expected since he had no idea about what happened regardless of the circumstances. Though, Corn didn’t seem way too fazed from his refusal as the dark-haired male shrugged his shoulders with a faint smile.
“Not forcing ya’ to join, do what’cha want!”
Then, the Earthling Saiyan silently watched as Komatsu addressed the other two one last time— it was difficult for Cornatto say anything more than what he hadn’t already tried, it wasn’t like it had much to do with him, he hadn’t been involved in this sorta stuff. So, he guessed it was even harder for him to understand much— if anything— out of the whole situation. Though, he had to say, he didn’t think that it was just something way too silly. Something they couldn’t easily forget.
It would have been like placing Cornatto and Natto somewhere with Lettis, it wasn’t like they’d have been different from them. Maybe even worse? Probably, maybe or maybe not. Who could tell? Lettis was rotting in hell, the place where she deserved to be but, it was also true that she was such an old enemy and all, and so much time has passed that Corn barely held any sort of grudge in the end.
Everything played out in a certain way. No one could just go back and try to change things.
Cornatto sweated a little as Tomina spoke up, mentioning as to how she hated pretty much everyone and caused the Turtle Hermit to giggle softly. “Haha! C’mon, I think I told you not to call me Captain! But yeah, like it or not, we’ll have to stand each other for forty-five minutes. I don’t think it’s that impossible. Personally, I have no problem with— almost, all of the guys I picked. Don’t you think this is easy for me, either! But right now, this is just not the time to talk about how much we all hate each other.”
Just how Koma mentioned the death of Jie Shan was pretty sad, he didn’t get to know him too well but he still remembered that Galen was so concerned for his friend and all; not to mention he wished he’d still be alive, truly sad. Corn couldn’t help but furrow his brow, for a short time before he let out a sigh. “Yeah, I know, I know. Too bad, I really wished I’d get to know Kami-sama better! The position seems cursed or something, hah! But...—”
Cornatto cracked a smile out of nowhere as he lifted up his hand and pointed towards himself. “No need to worry! Good old me’s got a few tricks up his sleeve, I’ll let you guys in, hahaha!”
The man’s arms dropped to his sides as Komatsu stepped in front of him, and the Saiyan eyed the other with a friendly smile over his face. Corn nodded and placed his hands on Komatsu’s shoulders for a few moments. “Alright, see you Komatsu. And good luck with the Alliance, bud. Keep it up, I am sure you can make it go strong like your old guys would have wanted. If you all ever get in a pinch or something, I’ll be there, okay?”
Cornatto reassured the younger Saiyan before he flew away, leaving behind a fading crimson path that lasted a few moments until it dissipated as nothing more than energy. The male’s dark orbs followed it as long as it lasted until he turned to look at Tomina and Jarvis, now, he didn’t quite know what to do with those two and was honestly about to leave, until he heard someone’s voice.
The Earthling Saiyan’s eyes widened ever so slightly as he glanced over his shoulders, only to catch the sight of Lagerus literally walking as if she had always been standing behind him and then stepped next to the man, who greeted her with an excited smile.
“Ooh, hey, Lagerus-sama! Been a little while, hehe,” - exclaimed the man. He did show a little bit of excitement, mostly because he knew just how strong she was and honestly would have loved another bout with her, but it was technically going to be a waste until he would have been strong enough to tap into what he had discovered some time ago in Hell. But, now he could only aim at what he could achieve for the moment. Just for now.
The tall man watched the exchange of things for a brief moment, he found it quite funny that Tomina’s behavior totally changed in front of Lagerus and apparently, whatever they were talking about, somehow she had also convinced Caesar to join them. “Hmm, well! That’s pretty cool. Then, I guess my job here is done! I’ll go and keep training now,” - said the man as he turned around before he lifted his hand up in greeting. “See you guys here before the tournament starts!”
And then, the man vanished out of thin air, gone only the Gods knew where.
