Listening to Ryuteki's words of assurance and thanks did a great deal to help calm Piyano's building emotions. "I think I understand your choice to reside in the mountains, having just returned from them myself. In my sojourn upon the Earth I spent much time in the remote regions. A special tranquility inhabits such places." Piyano replied as he mulled over the Guru's words. In truth however Piyano couldn't bring himself to believe Ryuteki would have ever truly abandoned his people. The older Namekian simply felt Ryuteki had only stepped aside until he had felt himself ready for the responsibility.
As Ryuteki went on to discuss the goals and aspirations of the malice demons and how Piyano should not feel grievance for his folly, the man simply couldn't shed his guilt. "I have conversed with our brothers spirit at length, at least until our merger reached its apex. I no longer hear his voice... I feel his thoughts we are no long two but exist as one." Piyano attempted to explain. In the modern age few Namekian's had ever performed a fusion, Piyano may very possibly be the only Namek still alive to have undertaken the ritual bonding. This did however make it challenging to explain his changes to others. "I know not if it is Piyano's regret that drives my guilt. Perhaps it is Clarin's sorrow of being controlled into offering his life... Truly I feel the emotions of both and they combined into a dark pain." Piyano finished, hoping he managed to in some way get his point across. Simply so that Ryuteki could understand that Piyano's healing would take time.
Suddenly Ryuteki gave Piyano advice that truly shocked him in it's wisdom. Time to commune with Clarin's spirit and seek peace not self-forgiveness. The idea was different and on some level inspiring to Piyano. As much as the man knew himself and Clarin to have merged into one being, perhaps some small part of the old warrior stayed walled off from Piyano. Perhaps finding peace would be the thing that truly bound them as one. "I shall have to try Guru." Piyano replied with a small grin as he looked at the boy with new respect. "I wonder if you remember Ryuteki, when you were but a child and your father lead the people. Do you recall a small village of Namekian's that lived at the base of the lookout? They served as warriors and priests dedicated to service in the Guru's name." Piyano asked with the glazed look of memory in his eyes. "That tribe is where I began... I wonder if returning to my roots is what I need? Guru Ryuteki, I should like to offer myself to be your warrior. At least until I have come to conquer my own demons."
