In almost an instant, his idea that Saiyan architecture was simple and unsophisticated was turned on its head. Demalia had an incredible way with words, she was extremely intelligent and well read. He wasn't so sure if what she said actually held true with Saiyans and their homes, but he'd take it to heart that there was something good going on there. Besides, he had a lot of pride in his race and while he couldn't vouch for their intelligence compared to a race like the Tuffles, he was happy for them to be looked at positively by one!
The Tuffle also seemed to shoot back quite fast on the subject of food. The comment she made caused him to chuckle softly from the unexpected remark. But at the same time, it was a cheap blow! "Well... now that you've brought it up I am!" surely, as a Saiyan, he was now doomed.
He was going to be left behind if he held onto those thoughts for too much longer, however, so he quickly picked up his pace to follow along with Demalia as she seemed so excited to lead him throughout her mansion. The lit up hallway itself was a nice sight, truly the architecture of Plant was something to behold for anyone who wasn't used to it. Perhaps to someone else, it wouldn't be all too special, but for him it was beautiful. Not to mention, the view outside of the very windows they were walking by allowed him to take it all in as well.
For the time being, he'd try and pull his attention back to Demalia to bring the conversation further as he waited to see more of her mansion. "Where are we heading first anyhow? I'm sure there's all manner of rooms in this place for different activities." his eyes glided to the end of the hallway that they were walking down. It was a mystery what was at the end of it, and all of the different rooms it could be connected to. But he was in the long haul for this tour and he wasn't pressured to get it done as fast as needed. WC: 361 TWC: 2,791
“Do not despair Rutaba. You'll receive a bountiful feast by the end of the day. One way or another.”
Demalia giggled lightly, bounding up the stairs with a spring in her step. She hadn't been in this good of a mood in a long time. She was home after a long trip with her boyfriend. That still seemed so surreal to her. She led him down a hallway and to a door near the end on the left. She opened it up, gesturing towards the room with her hand.
“This is my bedroom Rutaba. It is a little girly, I admit. I couldn't bear myself to get rid of certain things. Plus… I am fond of cute things…”
Demalia mumbled, looking away with an embarrassed flush. The room itself was big, although not ridiculously so. She had a four poster canopy bed near the far wall, and some fairly wide windows that gave a good look of the cityscape. The walls were white in color. The general furniture such as the desk, dresser, and other such bedroom staples weren't too unusual. There was also a closed walk in closet in the room.
What stood out was the mesh of technology and… well to put it mildly, girlishness. Demalia had set up two rows of shelves on opposite sides of the room. One was full of models and various machines and models. The other had a rather extensive collection of stuff animals and dolls. The whole room was a bunch of contrasts. The advance computer equipment on and around her deck was offset by the pink curtains around her bed and floral patterns on her mattress. Demalia walked in, her shoes clicking against the wooden floor.
“This is where I sleep. I couldn't really decide how I wanted my room to be like. I didn't expect anyone outside of my family to see this. It's a little embarrassing actually…”
Watching the girl bound along so happily was quite a sight, causing the Saiyan to chuckle a bit as they moved on. He'd make sure to walk to the doorway to take a peek inside whilst overhearing what the Tuffle had to say. He honestly wasn't too surprised by the girly look of the room. It sort of fit the description she gave it before anyway. She still seemed sort of embarrassed by it, however, to which he'd just reply with a content smile in her direction.
Rutaba moved inside to get a better look around at the contrasting but very distinct parts of the room. He'd be lying if he thought that they didn't fit her, though. He made sure not to touch anything as he looked around, as it all seemed set up with a very specific purpose in mind.
His attention was once more caught as Demalia spoke up, causing him to glance over at her as she explained a bit more. She admitted that it was embarrassing, causing him to turn to look at her directly. "I actually quite like it. It's very fitting." he'd make the casual and positive comment before taking another look around the room, returning to set his eyes on her again. "Besides, it IS your room. You can make it anything you want, there are no rules about it." Rutaba continued with this, even though he never personalized his living space.
He took another few seconds to scan the room, noting that this really was Demalia's bedroom. He didn't expect to be invited into such a place so soon but he wasn't going to complain. He'd just glance back over at Demalia now that he was done checking her room out, knowing that she was really excited to show him around so far, and probably didn't want to stop here. WC: 309 TWC: 3,100
To her relief, he didn't make fun of her tastes or poke fun of her in any way. He didn't even go and touch anything in the room. He kept her in mind as he walked around the room. Demalia gave him a small smile.
"Yeah... thank you... um... let me show you around the rest of the mansion."
Demalia gave him a very detailed tour of her mansion. She avoided certain places like the lab and her parent's bedroom, but for the most part no stone was left unturned. She eventually led Rutaba back to the kitchen, turning to look at him while twiddling her thumbs.
"You must be hungry after all that walking around. Do you have a preference as to what me to fix you? After you tell me... could you wait for me out in the back garden? It's just as nice as the front and I think it would be a wonderful place to eat."

As he had done so far, Rutaba ensured that he wasn't left behind as Demalia gave him a tour of her place, taking note of where everything was if he had a need for it. He made sure to keep relatively quiet, not wanting to interrupt her during her tour.
Soon enough, he'd find himself in the kitchen once more with the Tuffle, smiling as she told him something to do. "No particular preference. Feel free to fix whatever you feel like, I won't be bothered by anything really." he'd beam a bit, happy that he was going to have a home-prepped meal from his girlfriend. It was something lighthearted for sure and maybe a little silly to be happy over, but there was no use beating himself up over it.
Knowing full well that there wasn't much more to discuss, he'd give the Tuffle a small wave as he left to go to the garden. Finding it fine enough, the Saiyan rolled his shoulders and just sat down in a more relaxed pose. He didn't need to push himself to do anything for the time being. WC: 187 TWC: 3,287
Demalia blushed profusely at the smile he gave her. He did it so often, yet it caught her off guard nearly every time. She watched as he walked away, her eyes never leaving his retreating form. When he was out of sight, she looked down at the ground, pinching her chin and lightly biting her lips.
Damn. Demalia couldn't even make sense of her own emotions anymore. The only constant that she had was that she was hopelessly in love with Rutaba. Yes, she was absolutely sure of that. He had quickly wormed his way into her heart with his kindness and just by being… him. After that things became much more murky.
Demalia was a nervous and shy person by nature. As a result, some of her interactions with Rutaba could get awkward sometimes. It was frustrating cause it made it harder for her to express herself to him. Except when she wasn't. And that was other problem.
A new side to her had awakened recently. Ever since she had tapped into her demonic powers, her emotions had become amplified. There were times where she got possessive of Rutaba, where she wanted to make him hers. She had nearly stole a kiss from him. She was scared that she would lose control to those urges and do something she would regret.
But… thinking of Rutaba gave her courage. She smiled as she recalled all the moments she had with him. He had suffered a tragedy of his own. Yet he kept a smile on his face and had comforted her, and helped her during her darker moments. She took a deep breath, walking towards a control panel with a determined look on her face.
"I need to be brave! I can't just beat around the bush anymore… I have to move forward!"[/color]
Both of them were well aware of their feelings towards the other. She was scared and nervous about all the things that could go wrong. But if Rutaba was there, then everything would be alright. She was sure of that now. He would banish her doubts the way he quelled her fears on the ship. She didn't know where things were going to go, but she had to take that crucial first step.
"Um...Computer, gather the ingredients for Miso soup, and begin preparations. I would like for you to switch back to manual when you are done."
Drones immediately came out and began to do as she commanded, buzzing about the room and collecting the ingredients. Demalia meanwhile left the kitchen and headed upstairs. It was time for her to bring out something she didn't think she would wear.
The back garden was even nicer than the front yard. There were more exotic plants neatly growing around. There was a short hill with a waterfall coming down. It lead into a pool, which fed a stream that winded it's way through the area. A light breeze rustled the grass and swayed the tree branches. Nearby wind chimes sounded off, disturbed by the wind passing by.
An hour had passed since Demalia had told Rutaba to wait out there. It was at this point that she emerged from the kitchen, making her way over to her boyfriend. She was carrying a tray with a large bowl of steaming Miso soup, with some smaller bowls around it. She had a pitcher of lemonade, was well as some bread, various fruits and vegetables, and some seasoning. She set the tray down on the table, rubbing the back of her head, looking away from Rutaba.
"I made some Miso soup for you. I took some elements from the dish you liked back on Sadal and incorporated them into the meal. I hope you enjoy it.. "
Demalia was a little nervous, but she hadn't sat down yet. Probably so that Rutaba could get a good look at her. Gathering her courage, she turned her gaze back to look at Rutaba.
While it wasn't riske by any means, the current outfit she had changed into showed a lot of her skin. The skirt she was wearing was short and the sleeves of her shirt were non existent. As a result, Rutaba would be able to see mile of pale, smooth skin. Even her feet were visible, held in by the straps of her black pair of sandals. Her black hair swayed gently in the breeze, defying the hat atop her crown. She was standing a few feet away from the Saiyan, so he would be able to take in the full sight of her.
Rutaba sat fairly relaxed as he waited, his eyes slowly gliding across the back garden to take in all of the scenery. As the Tuffle said, it was just as nice as the front and all of it was quite a spectacle. It would be very peaceful to have a little dinner date with Demalia here.
The waterfall, pool, and stream all flowing through were nice on the eyes and the breeze that caught the back yard caused the Saiyan to close his eyes and just take in the peace of it all. Most time he was around Demalia was peaceful like this.. it was nice.
The hour that the Saiyan had to wait would go by without much happening, Rutaba just sitting calmly thinking to himself while whistling a bit to occupy his time. Just the feeling of Demalia moving towards him caused his body to perk up to be less relaxed as he eagerly anticipated both the Tuffle and the food that was heading his way, hopefully anyways.
His gaze locked onto her as she entered his view, his eyes widening slightly as he had to take a moment to actually scan her figure. Rutaba couldn't quite pay attention to the food that was set down before him, oddly enough, as he was far too busy staring at her new clothing.
Despite all of this she seemed so nervous, her eyes away from him. Did she go through putting on this outfit for him? She was taking all of the necessary measures to show it off fully for him. The thought of such caused his face to flush a bit as he kept staring. This, of course, caused him to look up at her the moment she turned her gaze towards him, causing him to flinch a bit but give a soft smile.
"D-Did you... did you put that on for me?" through his obvious hesitation to speak up, he practically ignored what she said about the food, for the time being, not being able to so easily evade her new outfit that showed up unannounced. It was truly a nice outfit, he had nothing but military fatigues in his roster of outfits. But what was safe to say was that she was quite a treat for his eyes, perhaps that was aided by the fact he was naturally attracted to her at this point. "You look stunning!" he'd blurt this out suddenly, realizing far too late that he was practically gawking at her for far too long.
"I-I'm sorry I... I just am at a loss for words." he'd continue on, standing up from his position to actually walk towards her, doing a full circle around her to actually look her up and down from every angle possible. He truly didn't know what to say. She looked great but how could he put that into words? He wasn't good with this stuff.
At last, he'd stop in front of her to actually address her head on, he had to do at least that. "I hope it's not bad that I don't have anything comparable to show off for you, but truly it's a really good look on you! You're... I guess I'd have to say gorgeous!" he'd happily smile knowing that he got to say at least that much. He didn't want her to feel that her efforts were unappreciated. It was a very huge change from what she normally wore, it couldn't have been an easy transition for her to choose to make.
He was still practically ignoring the food she brought out to him, which was probably a bad thing considering she made it for him. But at the same time perhaps it was a testament to how much she captivated him at that moment, that he couldn't even focus on something else like that. WC: 640 TWC: 3,927
Demalia instinctively recoiled when Rutaba flinched. She knew she had gone too bold for this situation! No wait… Rutaba was… transfixed at her. He couldn’t pull his eyes away from her. The food hadn’t even registered to him. The blush on his face, smile he was giving her…he liked it, right? She pressed her fingers together gingerly, returning his smile.
“Yes Rutaba… I put this on just for you. Just like I made that meal just for you. I hope both are too your liking… I worked hard on the preparations…”
"You look stunning!"
Demalia could feel a button being pressed, and electricity surging through her body with those words. It only grew stronger and stronger as he inspected her, walked around her. He complimented her again. Oh god, he complimented her again. She felt elated each time she did it. Her boyfriend was complimenting her... revering her... she knew that he meant it. Those earnest words were meant for her and her alone.
"I'm so glad you like it. You don't have to dress fancily for me Rutaba. You'd still look handsome even if you wore a dress. Just keep being yourself and eat your food. If you don't stop staring at me like that then I..."
The look of longing in her eyes made her meaning very clear. The moment he complimented her and started worshiping her body, she felt the strange possessiveness she associated with her demon half return. This time though... she wasn't afraid of it. She felt like she was in control enough not to let it cloud her judgement. But if he didn't keep praising her, then the food was probably going to be luke warm by the time they got to it.

It was safe to say that the Saiyan was happy that he didn't offend Demalia in any way, as she seemed to be taking the comments of her appearance to heart. She also didn't mind that he didn't dress up in any way, and complimented him in return. He couldn't help but smile at that prospect. If anything it meant they were truly attracted to one another regardless of a silly thing like clothes. Albeit that didn't lessen the effect her dressing up for him had.
Not only did she look good, but just the fact she took the time to dress up for him was such a sweet gesture. His head slowly turned to look at the food she had placed down when she referred to it. "Right... I guess I should-" he spoke sort of hesitantly as he started to feel bad about ignoring the food this long, but couldn't help but stop himself short once more as she spoke up more.
Rutaba's eyes shifted back to Demalia as she gave him an unmistakable look... and said some very choice words that together made his face flush a bit more, but not in a bad way. "If I don't stop staring...? Is that right?" he'd tap his finger on the table a bit in thought. He really had to weigh his options here, her look was practically a silent request for him to give her attention it felt like.
After a bit of deliberating in his head, he'd move a hand onto one of hers, holding it firmly. "After you took the time to pretty yourself up all for me, I can't exactly stop." as he spoke, he moved his free hand onto the only hand she had remaining to allow himself to fully face her once more. "Besides, I don't expect you're planning to stop me yourself, are you?" he'd stare at her dead on as he spoke, a soft smile on his face. Rutaba knew full well what he was doing. Perhaps it was a bit bad to egg her on in such a way, but he had never seen her like this before. The unknown is a curious thing, and he couldn't help but want to see it for himself. And to say the least, while he loved food it wasn't something he'd drop everything for. That bowl would stay right there waiting for him, regardless of what happened here. WC: 405 TWC: 4,332
A part of Demalia was still nervous, despite the surge of confidence that she had. Even though she was in control of this new element of herself, there was also the Tuffle side of her, the more socially awkward part of her fighting against that. While it was muffled in her mind somewhat, it was screaming, praying as loud as it could for the dinner to progress. That she wouldn't know how to handle things if Rutaba did push things. But loe and behold, that's exactly what he did.
Demalia could feel her heart beating against her rib cage. It felt as though it was physically going to break through the bones and shatter them into pieces. He had reached over and grabbed one of her hands. Instinctively she reached up with her other hand and brushed her hat off her head onto the ground below. On some level she knew where this was going. When she felt his other hand contact her free one she withdrew it slightly. Then she reached out and cupped Rutaba's cheek. The attention he was giving her, the songs of praise he was speaking to her, his sweet smile's... it was all too much for her to handle. She leaned in, speaking to him throatily. "You have it mixed it Rutaba. I warned you what would happen if you kept staring at me. You've done considerably more than that. I woke up before you did back on the ship. I wanted to thank you properly for comforting me after I had that nightmare, but I held back . It wouldn't have been right to show my gratitude that way when you were a sleep. But now... I can't restrain myself anymore."
Demalia leaned in and pressed her lips against his. The spark caused a chain reaction. Her feelings for him sore, all her senses were enhanced beyond what they should have been. All was right in this absolutely perfect moment. It seemed like even the world around her responded to her actions. The wind picked up, rustling the tree branches and sending cherry blossoms floating through the air. Her hair whips around like a veil. And within the confines of her garden, she conveyed exactly how she felt to the Saiyan warrior with a sweet kiss.
Everything started to happen so quickly. In a moment Rutaba felt Demalia's hand upon his cheek, causing his eyebrows to raise out of curiosity. Next, she leaned in.. causing his eyes to widen a little bit as he listened to the words she spoke. It seems he did actually go a bit too overboard, but at the same time that didn't exactly sound like a bad thing in this scenario.
She continued on, talking about thanking him for something while he was asleep but being unable to go through with it. She didn't have to do such a thing... he did it out of his passion for her, she didn't deserve such things happening to her even in her dreams. Nonetheless, she danced around specifying exactly how she planned on thanking him that she pulled back from, but considering how she looked at him and everything that was going on... well, he had an idea of sorts.
This all culminated in her saying that she couldn't hold back, causing the Saiyan to perk up a bit. "Hey, Dem-" was all Rutaba could manage before her lips silenced his voice. At first, he was quite surprised, his eyes widening out of a slight bit of shock. He never could have imagined that she would actually go this far, he honestly expected her to pull back before it happened and to be a shy, timid girl all over again. But this time was obviously different. Not that it was something he was against.
His eyes slowly closed as he accepted it, moving his free hand that she evaded before onto her back to hold her close in an embrace as he welcomed all of that passion in return. It'd be an understatement to say that the world was accepting of them as well with how everything picked up to make the scene all the more romantic.
Rutaba held onto everything that was happening for quite a few moments, not wanting to pull away just yet as he knew it was something quite special. A first like this would never happen again in his lifetime. But a lifetime may as well have passed since they started the kiss, and it still hadn't ended yet. Was this what love truly felt like? Perhaps just for that moment, he felt like everything that had happened to both of them didn't matter anymore. They both had each other to fill in those gaps.
As much as he wanted to maintain the kiss, he knew that he had to take a step back eventually, or else they'd be stuck like this till the universe froze over. And so... he did. But that wasn't to say that he wasn't right back to that same soft smile from before that he knew was probably permanently stuck to his face not that this had occurred. "I'm glad you waited. Nothing in the universe would have made me want to miss this moment for myself." even though his words were firm, his voice was obviously a bit breathless as he hadn't even taken the time to recover from his words being silenced before. WC: 522
Demalia felt like she had run a marathon when they finally pull back. But it was an exhaustion encased within complete bliss. She stayed a few feet away from him, her amethyst colored eyes never leaving his own. Steadily the longing, shining look faded from a bright light to a glowing ember. She withdrew her hand, a light blush appearing on her face.
"I'm glad too... that I waited until this moment and had the courage not to back away. I’ve never felt this way about someone before. You give me courage to do things I wouldn’t have done before now. And you’ve awakened a part of me that I didn’t know existed until recently. My demonic half wants to go even further right now. But… I’m afraid of what I’ll do to you if I let that part take control.”
Demalia stayed within arms length, squeezing Rutaba’s hand gently. The food had all but been forgotten at this point. Right now she just wanted Rutaba to know exactly how she felt. The kiss had conveyed most of her feelings towards him. But there was more going on inside of her that she wanted her boyfriend to know about. The constant struggle between her demon and Tuffle half. It wasn’t as if it was a good vs evil element necessarily. But rather her more reserved, rational self vs something much more emotional. Passionate emotions that were craving to be sated. Giving into that side would mean tossing aside all her inhibitions and following through on her feelings to the fullest.
It was a proud feeling to know that he could help give her courage. Before she seemed far more reserved about the sides of her that she wasn't entirely able to accept. And surely her run-ins with the god didn't help with those sides of her, but perhaps she could live with it rather than against it with time. However, all of what he wanted to do in regards to this slowly dropped as she brought up that part of her wanted to take it farther and that she was afraid of that.
While he could probably keep pushing a bit, he knew that there was only so far that he could really allow her to go just cause of this. He'd slowly reach out with one hand, pushing a finger to her lips. "I'm willing to go as far as you truly want. But remember what we said? We'd take this at our own pace. It'll take both of us to set what that pace is." he'd smile softly, retracting his hand to speak to her more directly.
"If I could offer a suggestion, strike a balance with yourself. If after deliberating with yourself as a whole, you still want more... more is possible." he'd pause for a moment to look up as if considering something himself, meeting her gaze once more after he was done. "Just try not to tear me apart, us Saiyans get stronger when pushed to the brink." he'd smirk slightly as if trying to also make light of it all since he had gotten quite serious for a moment. He certainly didn't want her to think that he was heavily against doing anything more with her, or he didn't want to commit to doing stuff. If anything, he was saying all of this so that she didn't do anything she might regret immediately after. She already resisted to wait for this moment, perhaps she'd want to resist and wait for the future again.
"Ultimately, I just want you to be happy. Alright, Demalia? So you do what you think is right for you." he'd lean back against the table, not really knowing what to do more besides just, allow whatever was going to come. She seemed like she was in a pretty vulnerable and easy to manipulate state with her emotions if he wanted to see how far it'd all go. He didn't want to be that kind of person though, this was her choice to make, he didn't want to make it for her when eh was okay with slowing down or going forward. WC: 431 TWC: 5,285
Demalia felt her lips tingle when Rutaba pressed his finger against them. She smiled back at him, the pink hue on her face returning. This felt like a dream in a life that had turned miserable. She wanted to immerse herself in it completely.
“Take things at our own pace… I’ll try to find some form of balance. Thank you Rutaba… I’m glad you’re considering how I feel through all of this.”
Demalia murmured out, giving the Saiyan a bashful smile at him when he cracked a joke. She loved how kind and considerate Rutaba was. But she also appreciated that more confident side to him as well. She didn’t get to see it to this degree, but she liked it along with the rest of him.
“I’m the one who’s going to have to look after myself. I’ve heard rumors about how voracious Saiyans can be when it comes to um… certain activities.”
Demalia looked down, a red blush streaking across her face. It was said that Saiyans had the stamina to fight for days at a time. If they applied that stamina to other things, then that would make for very lengthy copulation. Rutaba was a gentleman, but there was a distinct possibility that the more confident side of his personality could take the helm of things. Demalia didn’t dislike that though: in fact it made her feel warm just thinking about it.
She managed to drag herself away from her fantasies, anchoring herself back to reality. As much as she would like to bask in Rutaba’s banter, she had serious manners to discuss. She rubbed the back of her hair, twirling it with her fingers at the same time.
“Rutaba… I’m sorry. I haven’t been entirely honest with you about why I wanted you to come here. I haven’t lied to you but… um… I purposefully neglected to tell you a few things. The surgery to merge me with my machinery is risky and is something that my A.I. System has to perform. This procedure doesn’t exist anywhere else currently. But successfully completing it means so much more. Rutaba… do you know how Tuffles appoint a Technocrat, a leader?”
While it was hard to hear, Rutaba just nodded softly as Demalia quietly spoke about finding the balance. All he could do about all of this was support her after all. In the meantime, it seemed that she was somewhat back to her normal shy self. Even through all of this, she managed to make a comeback that sort of stopped him in his tracks.
"Voracious...? Where did you hear...?" he didn't continue that question in full. He didn't know if he wanted to know what rumors she picked up where about any sort of activities. All he knew was that he couldn't even speak for himself. In comparison to the word she used, he had practically starved himself this entire time on such things. "I... you know. We'll see." he'd cough slightly into his fist as he knew that he couldn't comment on such a subject very bluntly with his current mindset.
All of the embarrassment and possible thoughts flooding Rutaba's head would soon fade as Demalia spoke up once more. This time it was about something that seemed like it'd require a lot more of a focused answer. At first, the Saiyan's eyes looked a tad worried as she started to speak. First an apology and then bringing up a lack of honesty? Suddenly things seemed a bit bleaker as different thoughts ran through his mind. Was she in danger? Were the odds of her survival with this whole test a lot lower than previously expected?
With a bit more clarification, however, his look would go back to a bit more of natural interest as it seemed this talk was less about the danger they had already discussed and more on a separate prospect. "I'm not familiar with your culture's process, no. Though I think I can infer a little bit from the name alone." he'd look up in thought. Tuffles being a highly technological race and all, Technocrat wasn't the most subtle name in that department. But that alone led to an entirely different thing to ask.
"So, I imagine it isn't a coincidence that you're bringing these up together? I'm all ears." he'd stare, obviously more intrigued now that the danger side of it was out of the way. WC: 373 TWC: 5,658
