For awhile, Vaneera had been having a pleasant dream, a more complete family. Father alive and well, Motet filling out the role of a little sister, or at least that was how the future Viceroy perceived it. But all nice dreams come to an end, it started with something that confused the White Brenchian. A faint, repetitive beeping noise. It wasn't a constant noise, but when it did show up, it perplexed her to no end. Often it would leave her trying to find the source of the noise... She would find her answer as she begins to slowly open her eyes.
She saw a white room, the lights were a little bright for her taste. Her head was pounding... That was when it all came rushing back to her. The fight that they were all just involved in, the injuries she had sustained. Rinako, Shizen... Both of them were gone. Rinako was dead, and Shizen... She went with that Caesar. And she did nothing when the blue haired man began to choke her... At least it wasn't entirely in losses, she injured the so called 'God', and by doing so, proved that he was just as mortal as everyone else.
Gods don't bleed. Okay so that explained why she was in such a bad state, but how did she get here? Was this the hospital that Flare was talking about? By her count, she and everyone else should still be back in that park. Vaneera closed her eyes, trying hard to focus. It wasn't easy to do, trying to push herself into doing this, but she could sense Motet's energy... She was in the same building, that brought a small sigh of relief out of the White Brenchian. Followed by a cough, damn! Her neck and throat hurt like hell.
The future Viceroy gently ran her hand across her neck, and she could feel the newly scarred tissue... Yeah, he burned her neck. She was lucky enough to be able to breathe as well as she was, and even talk. The future Viceroy would slowly sit up, which wasn't the easiest thing for her to do either. But at least thanks to the efforts of the hospital, she was recovering well. Along with Shizen's healing vines... Turning out to be more of a restraint, really. But they weren't holding her down now, the medical staff must have removed them.
The future Viceroy would sit at the edge of the bed, taking a moment to rub her face a little, trying to get her bearings back however she could. That was a defeat, no matter how she tried to spin any personal victories... And she couldn't help but be worried about Motet this entire time, she'd slowly force herself onto her feet. That was about when she noticed that there was something still hooked into her, effectively forcing her to stay on, or at least near the bed. Vaneera examined it, then noting that the machine at least had wheels.
It was a metallic pole, had a bag of some sorts that then had a cable which seemed to hook into one of her veins. Wasting little time, Vaneera would gently grasp it, and then start walking towards one of the doors. Luckily she turned out to guess right, this led her out into the hallway. She... Wasn't having the easiest time walking, needing to brace herself on both the pole and the walls. Slowly but surely she was making her way towards Motet's energy signature, she wasn't too far, thankfully... Vaneera probably didn't look the best right now. That didn't matter.
Most people, or at least the medical staff seemed to be surprised to see her up and about. They urged her to head back to her room and rest more, but she mostly ignored them and continued on her way towards Motet. Finally, she'd reach the room she thought housed Motet's energy inside, and would open the door to make her way inside. "Motet?", she'd ask in a slightly raspy tone of voice. She was thirsty, and the damage done to her neck didn't exactly help things... Suppose she should be thankful that she could even talk at all.
It still elicited another cough out of the Brenchian, but she was trying to put on a tough front as well as she could. Not that there was a way for her to really hide the injury across her neck. A mark left from Caesar, a reminder of his power and a threat that he gave not to cross him. She was still going to pay him back somehow. But right now, she didn't care about that... She wanted to know how Motet was doing, at least the girl's energy was stable, but... She took such a huge beating.
Far worse than what Vaneera had received. Rinako was the worst off in the bunch, there wasn't even a body left to bury... All she could do was focus on the here and now. Shizen wanted her to forget about her so bad, she'd do exactly that. At least for now, it made sense to better prepare themselves. Because all of them combined stood no change against that 'God King', and she knew it. They would need a lot more training than just the might necessary to take over the Planet Trade Organization, this became a fact very well known to her.
Still, Vaneera would force herself just the last bit of distance needed to reach Motet, then stopping at her side. "Motet...", she'd add. Her voice was sounding slightly better than the first time she said her friend's name. Likely it would be a little while before she was back to normal, however. Maybe it was just because of how roughed up she was, but the White Brenchian was having difficulties telling what was going on around her. It occurred to her that she had spent all of this time walking around in a haze, and she tried to focus a little more.
Motet was oblivious to the world around her, she had been ever since she woke up. All her mind could focus on was the seed held tightly in her hand. When she first awoke she believed everything had been a dream, that she had one of those weird nightmares she used to have as a kid. But no, If it was real Shizen would be here, probably berating for doing something the earthling's woudn't like. Vaneera would be drilling them, preparing them to take back their home! They would all be together right now, cause they were friends and that's what friends did. So this couldn't be dream.... this really happened. Her friend was gone. This was not a fun game. The feeling inside and out, it was something Vaneera was probably going through to. Motet didn't like these feelings... she didn't know what to call them but it just... it wasn't fun in the least! Every second was movement was more coursing on the outside, but it simply never stopped on the inside.
"Shi....Shizen...."
The girl would gasp out. She missed her friend already. The young brench rolled the seed back and forth in her hand, sitting on the side of the medical bed. She had been unable to get her friend back. She had been unable to save the fox girl. She... in the end she wasn't even able to help Vaneera. All she succeeded in doing was losing things. She lost the chance to make the humans her friends, she lost her first friend and... she failed Vaneera. She didn't deserve the spot Vaneera offered her. She clearly wasn't good enough for it. Couldn't even save one friend......
Motet?
The girl turned slowly to face the source of the voice. Her face showed clearly the marks from the earlier battle, as well A's the emotional battering going on inside the childish teen.
At first Motet remained silent as she looked at Vaneera. Their was nothing she could say that would excuse all her mess ups. She let her own happiness cloud her judgement and then it cost her and every last one of her friends. Motet tried to remain silent. But Vaneera seemed worried. She also seemed just as wore as she was. Was she feeling the same thing she was inside? It was such an unwanted feeling... she certainly looked like she did, and her voice sounded so odd right now. The mark on her neck... was that the reason?
Motet
Vaneera spoke up again, her voice clearer than the last time. Motet would scoot a bit to the side on the edge of her bed, allowing Vaneera to sit beside her if she chose. She would then speak up, her own voice in much better condition than Vaneera's-but completely devoid of its usually pep and joy.
"Van Van... she's gone isn't she? My friend... my f...first friend... she's gone forever.... I'm so... so sor...ry"
The breach continued to roll the seed back and forth in her hand. As if somehow, someway she could will her back with just this one tiny piece of fauna.

Now able to see a little more clearly, she could see the distraught face of her friend. The young Brenchian scooted over a bit, allowing Vaneera to take a seat. A gesture which she gladly accepted, it seemed like walking so soon after waking up really took a lot out of her. The future Viceroy took a few moments to catch her breath. It was about then that her friend would choose to speak, and she began by asking if Shizen was gone forever, and that she was sorry... But Vaneera would just shake her head lightly in response to her.
"No, no... It's going to be alright, Motet.", the White Brenchian lightly coughed after speaking. She'd gently reach down and grab Motet's hand. "Shizen's not dead... I saw her before I fell unconscious... She's definitely still alive. I can only guess that's why we're here now.", she struggled out. Her throat was still rendered raw from the burning and choking, but she was carefully forcing her way through it. Motet needed comforting right now, and she was going to be strong enough to do it... She had to be. Motet needed it now more than ever, she could do this.
"We'll get her back.", she added. Vaneera... Had more than a few things to say to Shizen when they met up again. But none of that mattered right now, she wasn't going to abandon her, even if she had her reasons to be upset with Shizen. "Okay? We need to rest now... Then we can train.", the White Brenchian continued, doing her best to comfort the girl. She wasn't sure if it was really working or not, but... This was the best time for her to learn how to, though definitely not the ideal circumstances in that regard.
"But we can't go rushing after him... If we do that, it's just going to make it harder on Shizen. As much as I don't agree with what she did... She saved us. If we fail in saving her, she'll be forced to watch him beating us all down again... Or worse.", the White Brenchian explained, then turning as best as she could to look Motet in the eyes. "Okay...? I know it's not what you want to hear right now... But we have to pace ourselves. We need support... The plan to take over the Planet Trade Organization will help us even more."
It was getting really difficult to keep talking, shown by how the future Viceroy coughed again, but she was able to suppress it from turning into an all out fit. "He has an army... We'll have one too. We'll get strong enough to fight him together.", she stated. Finally she felt like that was a sufficient comforting in what they could do for Shizen, but now it was time to focus on the here and now... Motet looked horrible, Vaneera could only guess she looked nearly as bad but she didn't care about that in the slightest.
"You didn't fail... You understand? You're not a bad person, Motet... I failed you. Shizen too. Rinako as well... Everyone back there. I wasn't able to do what I promised that I could.", she explained. Vaneera had promised that she would be strong enough to protect her people, to be the leader that they needed. For awhile, she was able to do that, but that single battle was her greatest failure. Even if it was outside of her control when the Caesar showed up... There must have been something that she could have done, and that was going to haunt her.
Especially the image of Rinako dying right in front of her. She was just thankful that Motet wasn't awake to see that, or anything else that occurred. It was a small mercy, but she could also tell it wasn't one that her friend was particularly happy about having. "But it's going to be alright now. Okay? I'm here for you... And I'm not going anywhere.", she once more attempted to comfort Motet. She forced herself to smile lightly. There wasn't anything to smile about, but... Wasn't that what people did in dark situations? You had to try and make people feel better.
Motet probably wanted to see her friends doing well, and... Well, she wasn't. But she could at least act that way to try and help her. She did feel relief that Motet was alive, at that. "I'm glad that you're alive, Motet... I was so out of it that I wasn't even sure if you were still alive. Once I could sense your energy, I had to come right away to see you.", she then explained. Vaneera's voice was finally clearing up a little bit. Thankfully it seemed that she wasn't going to lose her voice.
Maybe not all of the damage would be permanent, either. Though the scars... Unfortunately, that would take a little more advanced healing to be removed, but she could worry about that later. "We'll stick together... We'll make it better now.", she'd add. This was the closest thing that Vaneera had to a family, and Shizen was pretty close to being a part of that... Several factors out of their control forced them apart, however. Maybe the future Viceroy would mend all of that in time, and Motet? Hopefully she'd be willing to help accomplish that too. But morale was at an all time low.
As a leader, she could understand this. No one liked losing a battle, and that was the worst way to lose it. They gained nothing out of that, hell, Vaneera didn't even feel any stronger from it. Maybe it was just because she was still injured... Maybe it was just a mental block because of her emotional distress. Whatever the reason was, she knew now that the battle wasn't worth it. Too late to change anything. But not too late to get their lives back on track, they still had that as an option. And as long as that was available...
Caesar would get his one day.

Motet's face was one of confusion when she heard Vaneera's response. It was going to be alright? She wasn't so sure... how could it be ok if Shizen was gone? Two thirds didn't make a whole did it? They were short by a fraction. This was bad, not alright! Vaneera's touch helped to convey her point though. Her hand on Motet's brought about another feeling inside her, just as unfamiliar as the one she disliked. This one though felt much better than the previous, and even eased the bad feeling inside her. She liked this feeling-It was nice. Though it felt that way Vaneera's actual words continued to confuse her. 'Dead' a few of the earthlings had said that word before they threw their rocks. What did mean? Why was it always predated with fighting or tears? Most of all what did it have to do with Shizen? Should she be happy she wasn't 'dead'? She assummed she must be, Vaneera usually knew about these things. She would frown at the reminder of her failure towards her friend. So they had truly failed.... even after Motet could no longer play Caesar's mean old game. Shizen.... still left. She still couldn't understand why. Coudnt they just stop the game so Shizen could come back? Why... why was it so necessary to take her away? Why else that God king whatever such a jerk?! Why couldn't he just... find his own friend?
"Van..... what's death? Why does everyone get so sad about It, it's just a word isn't it?"
Every time Vaneera spoke she coughed. Motet would frown as a result. Was she sick? Was it because of the mark on her neck? The feeling inside herself... did that mean she was sick to?
'We'll get her back' the sentence made Motet gaze up at her friend with a look of wonder on her face. C...could they really? How? Caesar was so much stronger, his game so much harder... could they really get Shizen back from him? Rest.... she was right. Motet did feel really tired, probably all the training and play they had done the last few days. Vaneera was right, maybe it would help all these weird feelings go away. Well aside from the hand feeling, she liked that one!
"O..okay, I understand... will all this weird feeling inside go away if we rest? I don't like it..."
She frowned, but nodded at what was said next. As much as she wanted to get the forest girl back right away she didn't want to see Shizen sad. Motet didn't understand why but she didn't seem to like the play as much as Motet did... if them being on the losing end made her sad... Motet would just have to make sure they won next time. Motet sighed, still going over the earlier events in her mind, eying the seed in her hand would hold it out for Shizen to see, a light smile on her face while she did so.
"While I was out, I know it's weird but... I felt this weird light poking at the edge of my conscious... it was so strange ya know? I lost and was ko'd but... I could still feel this light and when I woke up in the hospital... the doctor guy gave me this, said it was on my body when the people brought us here 'they' Not 'he' or 'she' just... 'they'..."
After her statement Motet returned the seed to her side, continuing to rub it back and forth. She wasn't an idiot of course, she understood what Vaneera was saying. They needed more people on their side, if they fixed the PTO.... they'd have all the people they could muster against the king of bullies. She was so very, very ok with the though of making him play the game her way. The fair way. One he would defiantly lose.
"I understand.... I know were to weak now but I.... I think you should find someone else to be your second Vaneera. I... I'm just not good enough"
Motet's look oddly became stern when Vaneera tried to point the blame at herself. It wasn't, it didn't make sense for it to be.
"Your so silly Van Van.... your a queen.... the queen isn't responsible for the failings of her pawns, even friend pawns"
Motet's word followed by a confident not. She wasn't sure of a lot right... but she knew that was a fact. Vaneera was not at fault. The girl attempted to do as Vaneera did for her, taking her free hand into her own, rather than simply putting it on top. She wasn't sure what the gesture meant but it had made her feel a little better, maybe it could for Vaneera to? Her smile was infectious, Motet couldn't help but smile lightly in response as well.
"I'm here for you to... I promised you that day. Friends don't break promises.... that's the truth"
She would nod, a rather hollow laugh accompanying her words. She believed her words whole heartedly but.... their was a promise that was shattered after all, one that left them one blonde short. She would once more become confused with Motet's wording when she said she was glad she was alive. Why woudn't she be? She was glad Vaneera was happy but... had she hit her head a bit to hard?
"Vaneera.... I'm sorry I didn't come back to you. Its just... once I saw the seed I couldn't move... It all felt like a dream but... it's real isn't it?"
After Motet's last words She would simply turn to face her remaining friend, a matter of fact tone in her voice.
"Of course we will! That's the promise right? Fix everything.... make it all better"
Motet ended up asking a pretty difficult question, what death was. It... Occurred to her just how flawed the training regime in the Planet Trade Organization was. It really was just making shock soldiers to throw at their enemies... Motet was one such example, a child soldier. Vaneera would sigh lightly at the question. "It's...", she struggled to find the right words. "It's a little difficult to explain. A little complicated to understand, too.", she added. Another reason why she was hesitant to explain it to Motet? Because she already had enough on her plate, now she'd be finding out why the Earthlings were so mad earlier.
"Okay... You know what pain is, right?", she asked, somewhat rhetorically. "Well, death is what happens when someone just... Gets too old, or they've had too much pain. They stop moving, they stop breathing. It's... When they don't have life anymore. No one likes death because of that.", she tried to explain. It was something that she didn't really like doing, because Motet would likely draw her own conclusions, fit all the pieces together and... Well, Vaneera knew where that would immediately go. So the White Brenchian would just grab Motet's hand a little more tightly.
Not enough to be uncomfortable, but moreso a gesture to go along with her next words. "Now, you may have seen death before... Maybe you've even caused it without realizing the consequences. That's not your fault. Remember what I said about the Planet Trade Organization not teaching it's soldiers? Well... That includes the consequences like that. They don't explain the concept of death because they want people that will kill for them without question.", she elaborated. "But listen, okay? That feeling you have right now, the stuff that you don't like? That's regret, and sadness.", she continued.
"It means that you don't like people being upset, you don't like causing them that type of pain. The reason why you're feeling it now is because you're understanding the differences of right and wrong.", the future Viceroy urged, hoping that it would keep Motet mostly calm about this discussion. "Do you understand, Motet?", she'd then ask. It... Was probably all confusing to her friend, too. But these were the types of lessons that she needed to learn, too. Vaneera would have liked the circumstances to learn them to be better, but... Maybe this was really the only way she could learn about it.
Really absorb the information. After that, Motet asked if the weird feelings would go away if they rested. Vaneera nodded lightly. "Yeah... Time helps with all wounds. It won't be the quickest thing, some stuff heals faster than others. But we'll feel better, physically and mentally.", the White Brenchian responded to her young friend... Well, the truth was, they were the same age. But she just couldn't help but view Motet as younger than she really was, she had the mind of a child, and Vaneera knew exactly why that was. It didn't mean that she was a bad person.
The future Viceroy just couldn't stress that enough. After that, Motet would hold out the seed for Vaneera to see, it must have been from Shizen. She smiled lightly once more upon seeing it, and hearing Motet's explanation. "That's from Shizen. She left it to help you... You should keep it with you, a keepsake. That way, you two can stay connected until we can actually get Shizen back.", Vaneera responded. Though... Her smile would fade as Motet would begin to speak once more. Sadly, it wasn't going to be all great conversations from here on out.
Motet would admit that she wasn't good enough to be the second in command, and Vaneera would just shake her head at that. "No, Motet. Maybe you aren't ready now. But that's why we're training. I still stand by my decision... Besides, you're my friend. I trust you.", the White Brenchian replied. It was true that Motet was very childish, but she had the capacity to grow, the potential to become something more, and she just needed a little guiding to get there. One day, they'd make a good force for keeping the Planet Trade Organization safe from tyrants.
Vaneera would then smile once again as Motet reaffirmed her own promise. "Yeah... I know you'll keep that promise, Motet. We'll stick together no matter what.", she'd state. The simple fact of Shizen being taken out of the entire equation left the White Brenchian feeling... Well, a little more clingy than usual. She already lost her father at a young age, and she wasn't about to let there be a wedge driven between her and Motet. Maybe she was growing too attached, but that was how she felt, and there just wasn't any changing that... At least, not so soon after such a defeat.
Motet would apologize for not coming back right away, following with that as soon as she saw the seed, she thought it was all a dream. "It's okay, Motet... I just thought that you died. I wasn't sure what to think, and then... I just had to come and make sure that you were actually going to be alright. Now I know you will.", Vaneera explained, now smiling genuinely for once. It really did ease her heart to know that the young girl was alright. Not perfect, but she would recover. That was what mattered in the end.
Vaneera would then nod at Motet's next words. "Yeah... That's the promise. We're going to make it all better now. We may need to dedicate a lot of time to it, but... Hey, anything worth doing isn't easy. That's what they say.", she then stated. It was still a horrible situation that they had gotten in, but it wasn't entirely hopeless. As dire as it had all gotten, Vaneera was able to get that reminder just by being able to talk to Motet. She was even more glad about actually making her way here just to see her now.
Yeah, the smart thing to do was rest and heal up... But she couldn't wait for this.
Flare eventually found herself sitting… Sitting in a white room. Void of any furniture but this chair that was so close in color and texture that it nearly blended with the walls and floor. Was this what is was like to die? She remembered vividly the abhorrent amount of punches that slammed into her face. And then it was this… Flare felt no lasting pain from what had happened. She touched around the chair she was on with skepticism. She gave the whole room a solid glance. With enough looking around, the young flame finally had enough and tried talking. Perhaps to rouse whatever this was.
“Hello?” Flare’s crimson red eyes darted to the center of the room as the voice seemed to instantly make the environment react. A shadowy figure rose from its center, the silhouette too vague to make any specific figure out. After seconds of waiting, this shadowy mold started forming into the image of… someone she last seen trying to appease the guy who did this to her.
“...Shizen?” The young flame tried to stand from the chair she was mounted in but found she was unable to in this state. The shadowy form finally colored itself in the typical pale skin and green attire of her partner, The features and everything were so life-like and accurate, she found herself squinting at the woman to take in the detail.
“Shizen, what’s this? Where am I?” Shizen made no indication that she was going to respond verbally to that. She instead just stared at Flare with calm and understanding eyes. Slowly, the figure took towards her, step after step. “Hey! Answer me!” The young flame felt a finger press against her lips, vertically. A common gesture to hush someone up. Shizen had bent down to do this and just gave a sad smile as she leaned close to her.
“Flare, shut up and let me save you damn it.” It was an echo of the last thing Flare had heard out of her mouth. The young flame only had a few seconds to narrow her eyes at Shizen and try to stand up still before the figure before her changed dramatically. The finger pressed on her lips became masculine, and the person behind it traded blonde hair and green attire for gold adorned armor and an obnoxious blue hair.
Jarvis took the place of Shizen and instantly removed the finger and traded it for a fist he first reeled back and shot hard against her face. With the same ferocity as the real thing she remembered it as, she felt herself take the blow and fall out of the chair in a complete daze.
“UNF” The room around her too changed in a more obvious dreamstate fashion, removing the plain white of the room and turning to complete darkness. Once light was reintroduced to the scene, the room was gone and exchanged to a mass of flora of the tropical kind. Vines, jungle trees, huge leafy bushes. It had it all. She wasn’t laying on the ground like she had just been punched out of a chair now, she was upright. Standing in what she looked down now to see as quicksand. Jungle quicksand. A large pool of it, like in those cliche exploration movies.
“The fuck?” The young flame started struggling prematurely and just started sinking down into it… knee-deep. Then it stopped there. The young flame raised her hands in frustration and just looked around in a craze. “This isn’t funny, you can stop doing this crap!” An instant response again to her outrage, Jarvis reappeared just outside this large puddle of quicksand.
“Hahaha! It’s like dominoes with you all! I knocked over one and then the others attacked rather than being smart and letting me have my way! Figured I'd just knock down the whole stack this time and avoid the mess!” The pompous ass stood there with his arms crossed. He too gave an echo of the last thing her consciousness could make out. He continued to laugh at the symbolic fate of the elemi. Stuck in quicksand down to her knees that she almost lost. "I'll never understand why everyone is so eager for me to put the fear of my crown into them... This backward little planet is never short of brave stupid fools!" He parroted another sentence, this one out of place chronologically. It only riled her up. Flare grit her teeth and tried to move forward towards the entity that mocked her. It wasn’t the quicksand holding her back.
“The annoying ginger angers me. Pesky little people like her that choose to oppose so defiantly belong only one place... On their knees in defeat. So please.... On your knees..." That instant, the quicksand beneath her vanished and turned to grass, her lower legs gone with it. The fire elemi fell forward with another grunt, then was hit with a similar feeling of shock like the first time he had removed her legs. A struggle to clasp onto anything nearby to prop herself up. The scene was intentionally not letting her do this though.
“Hahahahaha!” Jarvis shouted out one more time before the scene again changed before her eyes. A whirlpool transition into various instances of her life. Displayed behind the now floating Jarvis. They was mental pictures of her childhood. Teen years. Her foster parents, Auntie, Mister Duff, Scion. They were all there. Even Ermine and some of her later encounters with those around her. Then… plenty of clips with Shizen in them… Eventually the mental images turned to the mere few hours ago with the conversation between her and Shizen, and finally a snapshot of Jarvis standing over her. Boot placed on her chest, POV style. A second after she seen this one in particular, the nub legged Flare felt a blunt force square up against her chest, hard. She fell from being on her stomach to being on her back.
“Flare?” She felt the tickle of grasses beneath her the same instant he heard a familiar robot’s voice pierce into her mind. The longer this went on, the more lucid and wonky her vision got. The trees and canopy that was suppose to appear above head LOOKED all triangular. And the moon, now looking like the park this all went down in, was square. Her red eyes locked with the bulbous greens of Jax, who was nervously looking over her. He gave that same expression he gave when he found her legless in the park and pieced her back together soon after.
“I could not find the legs, Flare.” The scene behind him was growing whirly and started moving unnaturally in her eyes. The bot reinstated.
“We could not find the legs, Flare.” The young elemi tried to prop herself up to no avail. She was just forced to listen to the bot.
“You could not find the legs, Flare.” That same blunt pressure started on her chest again, downward into the soil in a similar fashion, again, to what Jarvis had done to her. A disembodied boot slowly appeared into vision as the pressure increased on her chest. She struggled to breath, even in this dreamstate. The greens in his eyes turned red as he once against started something of variance to the last. His voice carried with it a slight hint of Jarvis’s.
“I could not save Shizen, Flare.” The elemi widened her eyes and grit her teeth. Trying to shove off the floating boot with her good two limbs. It wasn’t working, and eventually the boot started making her sink into the ground. Jax started vanishing in her vision, but he was still crystal clear.
“No!” Ridden with guilt, the young flame cried out a mercy for the dreamstate, wanting nothing more than to stop thinking about it. Tears started developing on the sides of her face.
“We could not save Shizen, Flare.” The robot’s voice pestered on, Jarvis’s undertone growing an equal to Jax’s. Flare was crying at that point.
“Take it back! I want to take it back!” She tried clawing with all her might at the boot, at the enveloping soil, at the robot she could not even see anymore. “Please!”
“You could not save Shizen, Flare.” In the darkness that now enveloped Flare, she could feel herself be relieved of the pressure on her chest… She was floating, her body whole once again, in an empty void. The distant voice of Shizen stirred her floating body. Flare sporadically looked around for the source where none could be found, distress plastered on her face.
“Flare?” It was all she had to say. The young flame clenched her fists in anger. In frustration. In sorrow. She couldn’t take this anymore. The abuse, the memories. They were all too fresh in her mind. Vivid. She knew enough of it to have this all happen to her.
“I’m sorry, okay! Stop this!” Her cry went unanswered for several seconds. The darkness around her started becoming lighter… It was as if Flare was a fire in the darkness. It slowly encroached on the entirety of the darkness to reveal the same white room as before. All that was left of the shadow was in the corner.
“Flare!” Oh yeah, this voice was definitely coming from the remaining shadow. Shizen seemed to ignore her cry as she came into light though. Her figure once again showed itself before the young flame with a face of worry. They both floated close to one another in this white room. Once this close, Flare had attempted to grab out and reach for the hippie… but she was just out of reach. An attempt to float closer brought nothing, like everything else she did in here.
“I didn’t mean to be so stupid! I didn’t mean to be so weak! Please! I’m sorry!” This embodiment of Shizen turned her face down into a moment of sadness, shoulders dipped as if she were sulking. “...Shizen?” Flare tried to reach out to the halfbreed with an open hand. She had no time to react to the sudden movement Shizen finally made in response. A brandished sword appeared from nowhere in her hands as she lunged forward with this devilish expression over her face. It was aimed towards her heart, near the midsection of her chest
“Jackie!?” A vaguely familiar old voice rung her ears as her vision blinked out and back into a very blurred reality. Flare could start feeling once again the soreness in her body. She could also feel… sheets. Bandages. Loose cloth. Sweat on her face... In a single twitch, Flare came to. She lurched forward and took hard breaths in the wake of her consciousness.
“Nurse! Nurse! Come help!” By the time the old lady before her had actually started calling for a nurse, a pair of them were already at the corner of her vision. The bed shook from her wakening loud enough to get a head turn from the group entirely, blinking at the patient in the room.
“Oh, Jackie! You’re awake!” Auntie, the old lady, finally came into clear view as well as the room around her. Lots of dull colors, with shades of peach and white. Cabinets and overly clinical equipment. And those overbearing curtains that use to split up patients of varying degrees. A hospital, it was. Along with Auntie and the two nurses who came in under the curtain, someone belonging to the force also seemed present in the matter.
“Jackie, are you okay? You were screaming in your sleep, deary.” Auntie had stepped over to take place again next to her in a chair. It’s assumed she was there as long as she had been here. “You started developing a sweat, rolling around, and then yelled some rather disheartening things.” She assumed order of patting her forehead down with a hand towel, being gentle as usual with her little child. The two nurses called eventually left the two alone, as everything seemed alright at this point.
“U-ungh…” The main pain came from her chest, which seemed to be one of the few things that did not become healed when Shizen last touched her up. “Auntie… Auntie, I don’t… know. I was having a vision. Lucky it was… just some cliche shit...” She muttered to herself before sitting up even more. “Where…” Flare’s dazed crimsons scanned the inside of her enclosed medical curtains and eventually picked out a familiar sword in its scabbard. The young flame’s expression grew pained at the thought what happened. How did she end up having the sword.
“Where did that come from?” She completed her question and pointed at the thing. Auntie just peered at where she was point and sighed. Having finished patting her sweat down, the older woman took a hold of the raised pointer hand with a sad smile.
“Doctors said you were brought in by a blue haired man and Shizen. He felt rather frightening, but they took you and two others without question. You were clutching onto it with all your strength when you came in.” The sword... Shizen... She pulled her mind away from the thought as fast as she could. Flare could only feel two of the familiar powers somewhere close and identified them as Vaneera and the other Breenchian that accompanied her. It was only a wonder whatever happened the the bloody fox lady that caused this mess… Flare just held onto Auntie’s hand for a bit before letting go and attempting to get herself out of the bed. The old lady wasn’t exactly WANTING her to get up at this point, but there was little stopping her. She started feeling aggressive again.
“Jackie, now… You can’t just leave. This man here and his force are waiting to take you into custody for your… supposed crimes?” The old lady looked at the man who got himself up from his separate chair, holding onto his belt rather egotistically. it was too late, too much had been said. The traumatic events of the past hours started clenching onto her like a parasite. Instead of feeding off of her, it fueled her.
“Ya ma’s right, Jackie. It’s time ya had your trial, need to quit postponing it.” The man attempted to try grabbing the hospital gown toting Flare only to receive an extremely fast back-hand to the face. An easy knock out. He fell with a rather loud thud, the person in the next room heard it with a bit of confusion in their voice.
“Jackie!” The older woman frowned at the action, but ultimately did nothing against it as well. Stern looks abroad. Flare could give less of a shit now, she just turned to give her caretaker a similar look with her crimson reds. Pupils ablaze almost literally.
“Just get Shizen’s sword and take it out… By the way-” Flare stumbled around the room in search of her clothes, prematurely tossing off the gown like it was nothing. Exposing her underwear to anyone coming across the open room. “Where’s Jax?”
“Ahh, dear… Jax is gone. We only got an arm and a head from back in that part the officer said this incident happened at.” Flare let out a growl as she finally started slipping into what she found of her clothing. Somewhat tattered from the blows it took, she rather still had this than walk around half-naked. Fire again started building up on her hair. That was the last elemi straw, she couldn't contain it any longer. Not with the thoughts now running fluidly in her mind.
“The fuck… The IDIOT.” Flare shook with anger and just started walking out of the room. “Why do I trust ANYONE with ANYTHING?” Auntie frowned harder still at her child and just took up the sword as asked. “Right, that blue haired prick that you said brought me in here. HE’S the reason I’m here, why Shizen’s gone, and probably why my fucking robot isn't anywhere to be seen!” She was being awfully loud. More officers started approaching inside the halls, on careful watch. The men in blue, terrified as they may be, tried still to affirm an arrest on her. Every time one of them closed in on her, she swatted them away like roaches. They were painful knock outs.
“Ma’am, I suggest you stop resisting!” One of the men in line to be swatted said something worth momentarily stopping for. Flare just gnarled at the man before kicking him right in the nads.
“I suggest you stop wasting my time. I’ve got bigger problems! DO YOU THINK I’M GONNA STOP RIGHT NOW?” With that, several of the nurses and doctors on the floor were scrambling for the security protocols; All patients and staff were to be evacuated. Now.
“I’m not having a GRAND DAY.” Flare stopped in the middle of the hallway and looked down at herself, feeling the rage flow through her body… It was unlike anything she experienced before. All this pent up anger towards Scion, towards Mister Duff… it compared not to this sudden bombardment of emotion. “WHY ME? I DIDN'T DESERVE THIS CRAP!” The ends of her hair turned to literal flame as she raged more and more. Heat was starting to get intense around her, spreading out more and more as she couldn’t control herself anymore. Not in spirit, and not in power. “SHIZEN DIDN’T DESERVE IT EITHER! SHE’S THE LAST PERSON WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THAT!” Slowly, the ends of her hair that had become fire started encroaching closer to the roots. At the moment, her hair was half-half. The glow in her eyes had started ramping it up, saturated in a neon glow that almost overtook the whites in her eyes. A part of the floor around her started bursting into flames from pure heat and chaos of element.
Flare is currently in her Enraged state… but her surge of emotion is making her power raise above that! She has currently risen to 1,206,760 PL, and is still on the slow rise. Attempting to unlock Super Elemi [x14].
If not calmed down, unleashing her powers with such ferocious and uncontrolled intent could spell destruction to the Hospital and much around it.
Chris had been standing upon the edge of the lookout for quite the period. He had been standing here for what felt like hours tuning in within his ki sensing abilities. Even though he had fine tuned it in the afterlife to a point of which he could sense any living thing located in this galaxy, there had been one specific area right here on earth that had caught his interest. He could sense two figures of which he could easily recognize from what had been so long ago. Shizen and Jarvis. He wasn't ready to fight Jarvis yet, and even than he still was unsure of whether he wanted to or not truly.
However something quickly changed as he felt two of the rather decently sized Ki's, one belonging to Shizen, and the other one to which he didn't know how to explain. However both bore a very similar energy. One he had felt before from someone on this planet before he had died. The energy felt like that of which how Houri had explained it, the thing he had called the majin mark, the very same that was on Nasu's head before was back. It made his fist clench knowing that something fishy was going on and yet there was nothing he couldn't do without risking his own life. Something that while he was all willing to do, he had to listen to the Kai's above advice and train his body to truly grow stronger.
He could only stand and watch as the demon energy twisted this battle even further, with which he could only begin to slightly growl at such. He was supposed to be a hero, a knight of hope, and yet he couldn't dare to have a chance against the god Caeser, the one who had once been a mortal named Jarvis. This fight however was nearing its end, however something did go more than wrong. He sensed as one of the ki's now smaller. It was one of the ones that had been marked! He could only place one foot off the near edge of the lookout as he gritted his teeth. Right as he felt the ki dissipate he felt so angry that he had failed to help another once more. The only joy he could take in it, was that he sensed the mark on that ki shatter until there was nothing left of it. It was a good within a deathly bad..
Some time later he could only grimace as he felt Shizen leaving with Jarvis, He could feel the demonic energy of the mark coursing from her. It might be too late to check on her but maybe he could check on...the survivors. He would need to get into a uniform that was more appropriate however. He couldn't just wear a fighting gi blatantly out into a city with no regard. Now the tough choice, what would he wear? It had been so long since his time of being near a major city. Long enough that he couldn't even remember properly what happened the last time.

Chris wore a simple blue jacket with a black undershirt, long blue jeans on his bottom half with a hole in the back fit perfectly for his tail as it wrapped around his waist like some furry belt. On his head a simple hat with a capsule corp logo on it. He practically looked like a standard teen with this outfit even! It would just be perfect for his disguise to enter. Keeping his power level suppressed to a decent level he began to walk into the building, following the senses that allowed him to feel others' ki towards where two of the survivors were right next to. Spotting the closed door, he would do a quick knock on the medical door before entering. He looked at the two that were there, their ki's did not belong to earth quite obviously, but yet they felt similar partially to Shizen.

"I'm sorry for bothering you two possibly, but you could say..I was watching your guy's fight with the god named Caeser." Chris would say with a bit of a pause to let it sink in a bit. "My name is Chris, and you could say I'm one of the guardians of this planet...or rather the apprentice of the true guardian. I was wondering if you could explain what exactly happened there..also I felt one of the ki's disappear..and if that's your friend...well..I'm sorry for your loss. Caeser's taken a friend of mine before as well." Chris would speak as his voice entered that of which sounded sincere, like one who truly did know of loss and of what it could be like to lose a good friend. He bore no arms of which to threaten them with, he didn't laugh at them. He treated them exactly like how they needed to be treated..as equals.
Before Chris would have been able to get nay answer from the group he rushed out of the room running towards the hallway where a elemi was located. He recognized the ki of an elemi due to his friend Ayami, and this power felt similar to that situation from before. It wasn't as strong yet but he didn't doubt that soon it could be quite the killer of energy. Not to mention with these flames burning it would be a danger to the hospital! It was unfortunate but he would need to use more of his power to quell the flames. Getting into stance he powered up slightly but yet keeping a suppression still on his true power. The point? His aura produced enough of a vacuum to wither the flames out off of the area possibly. "I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to take this outside. Your risking too many lives here at the hospital. " Chris would say with his constant cool face. He was keeping his face stern but without emotion. The way he did when he was prepared for a possible fight.

Vaneera seemed hesitant to answer her question at first. Was it really as difficult a word as she said? Didn't words just have meaning? Motet couldn't envision a meaning so bad it would make Vaneera of all people hesitant. She would simply smile lightly at her friend, sure the word wasn't nearly as bad as the future viceroy thought. How could it be? It was just a word, words had no power. They were things you put together to make fun little sentences to talk to others with! They weren't anything to be scared of, that's what she thought wholeheartedly.... until she heard it's meaning.
She would nod rather casually at the start. Pain of course was the measure one could take before the other fighter lost the game! She was being so silly... was van just trying to cheer her up? Asking such obvious questions.... It seemed kinda weird to her. But what really confused her was that 'pain' was apart of playtime, what did it have to do with death? It was all so weird... until she heard the rest. Her eyes went wide as a result.
"B....but that means.... everyone I played with..."
The girl's demeanor would go down drastically. The worry evident across her face. The people in the planet's... the people on earth... Mr lion.... all of then were gone For good? They weren't just poofed for a while? Motet's head would droop, her face becoming rather frantic in response to the news. She didn't want to believe it, all her life she had been taught different! But... she also knew Vaneera wasn't a mean person, she woudn't lie to her. It was just so much to take in. Had her parents... her siblings... everyone lied to her? She had hurt people, that's why Shizen got mad that day. All her life she hadn't been playing with people, she was hurting making them feel 'death' they wearn't coming back later. No one was... ever. The rocks, she deserved every last one.
"D..death... is the end of life..."
Vaneera's grip on her hand grew tighter, and caused the girl to somewhat break out of her stupor. Motet would lean on the girl's shoulder more out of instinct than anything. It was so much for one person to take in. She wasn't upset with Vaneera. She was upset with the PTO, with her parents but most of all she was upset with herself. All those people she hurt. Faces in her memory, people she thought were having fun at the time. They were never coming back... they were never playing again, SHE never wanted to play again. All she wanted was to be with her friends, to keep them safe. Vaneera continued her explanation, saying it wasn't her fault. She blamed the deaths on the PTO's training. She supposed that was true to an extent but it didn't make her feel any better, it didn't bring back all the people she hurt because of those teachings.
"I did though Van Van.... I never once questioned what they taught me.... I, thought it was all a game, just playtime...."
The branch trailed off as Vaneera continued her explanation. Telling her what the feelings inside her were sadness... regret? It was true, she didn't like it. She didn't like the idea of it being on anyone else ether. It welled up inside, and made her feel horrible. She would nod at Vaneera when asked if she understood. She understood, She just didn't like it. She explained that that in time the pain would go away. Time healed all wounds? She really hoped. She wanted this feeling to go away as soon as possible.
"Yes I understand... Vaneera"
Although down she would perk up a bit when her thoughts about the seed were confirmed. So it was from Shizen! Motet would hold the seed close to her heart with the hand that contained it. It did make her feel a bit better, a bit closer to her lost friend. It did help a lot. SHE would keep it with her... return it to Shizen when they met again. She also couldn't help but smile when Vaneera refused to replace her. She trusted her despite all her mess ups? The warm, odd feeling brought about by Vaneera's touch welled up a bit more inside her. It felt really nice, far nicer than sadness and regret.
"Well... if your sure... yes, yeah we'll get better together!"
The childish brench would give a more confident nod, a show of her determination to help her friend. They had reaffirmed their promise to each other and as glad she did! She was sad of course that she made Vaneera sorry but... it would be ok, they would get stronger together.... they would fix everything. She felt fine leaning here on her friends shoulder. It felt really nice until the earthling came tumbling in. Not wanting to upset the earthling's further than she already did she would listen to the man as he spoke. His voice was was not mean, his tone not rude. In fact the only thing that upset her was the implication that he just watched them. Watched as Vaneera got beat up. He watched as Shizen walked away. He watched as the energy he felt disappeared. The girl would rise slowly from the hospital bed and Vaneera's shoulder, pulling her hand out of hers in the process. She walked over to the man called Chris, and try to punch him, right across his face.
"If you sensed everything WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP, why did you let it happen?! Your supposed to be.... some kind of guardian.... but you just let it happen...."
The girl's new knowledge augmented her frustrstions. Everything that happened... he just watched?! Who did he think he was. Why.... how could he just watch. Immeditly after her words her arms would droop back to her side, tears flowing from her face as everything rushed back on her at once. Why was everything like this.
Again a force would bring her out of her stupor. This time the fiery girl from earlier would do so. She seemed upset, really upset. She couldn't blame her really... She was to. The brench would walk out not the hallway, without much care for her own wellfare in that moment. She was still very weak, but she could keep herself standing for this-she had to. This was the person Shizen cared for... She owed her friend this much, And so much more. She stood just in front of the elemi, a gentle smile on her face as she held the seed Shizen gave her out for the fiery teen to see.
"I'm sure... absolutely sure she gave you something to. You were more important than us... I know that... I'm sure she gave you the most important gift of all. So I know your mad... but can you answer me one question? Shizen didn't like things getting hurt... do you think then that maybe.... maybe she woudn't want the people here hurt ether?"
The girl would simply stand their after her statement with the hand holding the seed stretched out. She felt pain every once in a while but... that's not what mattered right now.
Motet seemed to understand this perfectly, and... Well, it didn't take her very long at all to connect all the pieces. Yes, the people that she had ended up killing... They probably weren't coming back. The future Viceroy sighed at that, she wished that she could have done something to catch all of this earlier, maybe Motet wouldn't have to deal with this type of baggage now, but that was of course wishful thinking. All she could do now was try to make the best of things going forward, at least she didn't seem to be entirely distraught on this.
Her friend was slowly coming back from it, it seemed that Vaneera was able to comfort her... And that did bring her a measure of relief. It wasn't going to be an instantaneous recovery, but she didn't expect it to be, either. The White Brenchian understood that it was going to be a long road to recovery, and both of them were lucky to still have their lives... The image of Rinako would haunt her once more... She was holding that girl's hand just before she disappeared, not entirely unlike how she was holding Motet's hand right now... Just remembering what happened back then...
It made the future Viceroy glance over just to confirm that Motet wasn't vanishing. Neither from her grip or from her vision. It probably made her look a little silly, or it didn't entirely make sense from anyone else's perspective, but it was just something that Vaneera would have to cope with immediately after what happened. After that, a knock sounded off on the door, and the future Viceroy looked over at it as the door then opened. A man she didn't recognize stepped in, he didn't look very old. Maybe a few years more than either of them were?
But it was hard to tell just off appearance alone. He began to explain what brought him here, and the Brenchian's friend was the first one to respond to it, naturally Motet was left confused about why the man did nothing, but... Vaneera could tell why almost right away; energy. He didn't have enough power to face off with that monstrosity of a man. If he rushed to their aid, it just would have resulted in him getting a beatdown as well... That's being generous in saying he could have made it in time, considering he only got here now...
It's a good bet that wherever he originally sensed it from was far away. People could move fast, especially strong people. But some gaps were too great. It's not like anyone was really drawing out the event with Caesar, either. He knocked everyone out with a single attack. "Motet, he didn't help because he couldn't.", she stated, trying to get her to calm down a little. Vaneera could still understand why her friend was so upset, however... Internally, she did want to ask the man why he did nothing, but she was suppressing that urge. She knew the reasons.
Hearing him say it wouldn't have changed anything. Though before they could really talk about what happened, alarms would start to go off in the Hospital, all of the commotion could be heard plain as day, too. Although the medical staff was trying to be timely about it so as not to cause the patients unneeded stress. Unfortunately, this type of situation did that anyway. But what was it that Vaneera noticed first? A power. A huge power, and one that she sensed before. That was the fiery Elemi, the one she met so long ago, and was fighting alongside...
Yeah. That was her. If her power was spiking up like that, she could only guess it was because she was mad... But this was a goddamn hospital. Vaneera would slowly push herself up from the bed, and begin to walk out of the room, wheeling the metallic pole along with her. Immediately after exiting the room, she could see the chaos. Men in uniforms dotting the floor. One practically right in front of her... Vaneera knelt down, by some grace the man was still alive, all of them were. Vaneera would pull at one of the man's weapons.
A baton. She'd stand up and then turn towards the source of all of this destruction. Flare. Vaneera would move her free hand and grasp the cord that was connected to her arm, and then carefully pull it out... That hurt, but she wasn't going to bleed out either, and she needed her mobility. The White Brenchian flicked the baton in one swift motion so that it would fully extend. After that, she pressed a button. A very definitive crackling sound would echo throughout the halls, one that the Fire Elemi probably heard a few times already. Stun Baton.
She was glaring daggers at the woman, and calling out as much of her energy as she could... She would need every last bit of her strength right now, no time to play around... She'd need even more than what her so-called full power could muster, too! Vaneera had to dig as deep as she possibly could, pulling out every last ounce of energy at her disposal... Her power would increase sharply, but the mixture of her injuries and the heavy weights which medical staff were unable to remove meant that it wasn't as impressive as it could have been.
Not that she was a match for Flare either way. "You need to stop. You're in the middle of a hospital... The wounded, the sick, the dying are here. The last thing any of them need is someone burning the fucking building down. I understand you have your reasons... But you're going to stop.", she warned the woman. Vaneera would then ease herself into stance. This stun baton wasn't her sword, but... It would have to do. She was prepared to fight if she absolutely must, and knowing just what her opponent was capable of... Yeah, she wasn't expecting it to go well.
Vaneera wasn't running away, however.

Flare found herself facing what seemed to look like a saiyan. In the flesh. The force of power he used to quell the flames only lasted so long before things started getting ignited beyond his control. She just looked down at him with brightly colored eyes. This guy wasn’t really helping her settle down, not with that distanced look he was giving her.
“I’m afraid I’m gonna have to ask you to SHUT UP.” The young flame returned the phrase in a mocking tone, gritting her teeth now at him too. She might now have been aware of the flames she was causing. “Who the HELL do you think you are, trying to tell me what to do? You don’t know me!” Flare took a few steps forward, flames erupting still alongside her. She was SO wanting to just deck this guy in the face while she could. All it would take was a simple… moment. A flick of the arm. Another familiar voice filled her head from behind, however. Motet…
“Heh?” The fire elemi glanced over at her, listening to what the girl had to say about it. It was much more low-key and warm than the fool who tried quelling her ki-powered flames. For a moment, it seemed like the question this Brenchian posed stunned her. “Shizen’s… sword.” And the seed… looking at the seed, Flare squinted her eyes in a moment of guilt and sadness. Like a cue, her old lady finally stumbled out of the room she and Flare were in, toting the said object in both hands. This prompted her to finally look around and see the place slowly catching flame in her wake… For the moment, she again seemed to calm herself a little. Perhaps saddened by the mess she was making. For the moment...
“You’re right. She was a tree-hugging nature lover. She wouldn’t want me to destroy things… You’ve GOT to understand this though, I am NOT letting that pig get away with this. He has fucking taken my dignity, my partner, my prized robot, and my FUCKING LIFE.” … Figuratively. It seemed emotion took hold again. The young flame looked around at all the officers she merely knocked unconscious, pointing at them in a furious rave. “Bringing me to this hospital? My Earthling Persona is GONE. If anything, she would probably respect WHY I’M LIVID.”
“Jackie, child.” Auntie was never not able to try standing next to her child and calm her with a gentle pat on the shoulder before. The old woman wasn’t able to get close to the still raging flames that now engulfed a good chunk of where Flare had moved in the hallway. “You need to calm down, your anger is going to destroy this place! Look around you, you’re already burning the paint off the walls.”
“JACKIE DOESN’T EXIST ANYMORE!” Flare had never so vigorously yelled at Auntie, whom shook a bit and almost dropped the sword she carried for her. “I’M FLARE. I’LL BURN MORE THAN A DAMN HOSPITAL! I’M GOING TO BURN A FUCKING MILLIONS HOLES THROUGH JARVIS FOR EVERYTHING HE HAS DONE TO ME, MY ROBOT, AND SHIZEN.” The flames atop her head were nearly one with her hair, the whites of her eyes almost vanished from view entirely. Auntie looked taken aback, scooting ever further away from Flare.
“Dear…” The old lady was trying to reason with a fiery ginger who was having one too many a tantrum. This one was definitely worse than anything she had to go through with Flare though. The fire elemi wasn’t having it.
“Take her sword to the mansion! NOW! I don’t want to say it AGAIN.” Without anything else really out of her mouth, the old lady sadly complied with the angry lady. Finding way with the rest of the evacuated patients down the stairs and out the building. After her tirade… Yet another familiar figure showed itself. Van-fucking-neera. The Viceroy had armed herself with a baton from one of the felled officers. Interesting… This had her full attention now.
“And YOU!” Flare was taking steps towards the Viceroy now, a move threatening to set the officers near the viceroy on fire with her movement. The young flame pointed another accusatory finger at this woman -- NO, CHILD. Vaneera was one of the few alive she could still blame other than herself; Jax and Rinako being the main contenders for this. “The HELL were you thinking? Convincing Shizen to join your little “rogue alliance” like it was something she was safe doing. Have you no SHAME?” The young flame only eyed the stun baton offhandedly. That was the least of her worries.
“Could you not of THOUGHT ABOUT OTHERS before your reckless ideals got someone hurt? Huh?” Reckless… Says the fire elemi. Surprisingly, the fires that usually erupted from around her in the hallway did not touch the souls KOd on the ground. She still had some restraint.
“So, SURE! I’ll go outside and yell out at the world to my heart’s content… BUT YOU’RE COMING WITH ME!” She roared and started to yell out at the trio surrounding up with such immense anger and hatred. Her body felt so hot and violated from the power; her mind so clouded with her emotions. Anger. Excitement… Fear. They all coalesced into her and slammed into her form like a truck as she continued yelling this Saiyan of a yell.
Super Elemi PL: [2,413,520 Offensive / 2,111,830 Defensive]
It seemed after several seconds of doing this Flare’s feverish emotion had got the better of her, the emotional incarnate looking like it had taken over. Her hair turned completely to flames, her eyes only showing the saturated neon glow of red flames. Her entire body seemed covered in this immense flame erratically surged around her, like an aura. The initial force of her transformation flung the unconscious bodies of the officers behind her. The entire hallway immediately surrounding her lit aflame, every inch of it just bombarded with flames. Lucky that the officers were flung from just repulsion alone. Unbeknowst to them, this flame had actually also started up around the lower levels and surrounding rooms. Her power having passed through simple walls of the hospital. Eventually her yelling died down to sharp breaths... And an angry face just piercing into the viceroy's eyes.
Flare began to rush at Vaneera, fists lit up. At the same time she was launching herself at full-speed towards the Brench, she also started to try throwing punches in her wake. In an attempt to shove her fists and ki blasts hard into Vaneera’s abdomen while then shoving her all the way across the hall. It was empty at this point, so the young flame didn’t have to worry about hitting people. On the way out, she would leave a streak of fire. One that followed her path. If at all successful, she would continue outside by smashing Vaneera and herself through the wall on the hall’s end. She would then toss Vaneera away in a fit and try flying up over the Hospital. Flare had transformed into the legendary Super Elemi [x14]!
Flare is throwing an [OT-1] Flare Combo that is doing 603,380 Power/527,957 Speed worth of damage at @vaneera and using the attack to also shove Vaneera and herself clear out of the Hospital via hallway wall.
Before Chris had left the room, one of the girls ran up to him and punched him. Although it really hadn't hurt. He knew the reasoning for it, the girl was mad that he hadn't helped and to be fair she was right. However there was more to it that he was glad of from the other girl. The one named Van. They began to speak in his defense and he really was more than grateful for such. She understood perfectly that he didn't have such power to stop the god like creature. Even with his most powerful state he would only be at most nearly half as strong as the god.
Back to the present Chris could only look at the fire elemi with a strong still emotionless look right towards them. He was still studying her form and such to be ready for if they did attack. He still did not answer their question, keeping his own mind calm for the now more than likely fight that was bound to ensue. He still wasn't going to be the one to drop the first stance. He knew from his previous training from his mentor, that one always wanted to be the last to get in stance. To take as much time as possible to study ones enemy.
From what he had been able to diagnose past this blazing heat was the fact that like most elemi the one named Flare was going out purely on emotion. Yet still their high power didn't leave any fear on his face. He was going to have to take those emotions and use them against this elemi. Though he would admit to himself. This one was not nearly as troublesome as the one Ayami had changed into temporarily. In fact he would easily say that this one was easy game compare to how hard it had been for Ayami. Heh who would have guessed water for once had been harder to deal with than fire. Go lucky go figure.
However shortly to appear as well were that of both of the girls, Motet and Van. It would be dangerous for them both to be here. However he really couldn't say much else. After all he didn't want to have them hate him more. That was if they even did hold any of it at all. However this would seem to only provoke everything even further worse. As Flare would seem to get agitate even worse toward Van, and the words she was saying didn't even make sense. He had felt the kis at the battle and he felt the one named Van helping out as much as possible.
Quickly he had to switch his form forward, right as the fire elemi Flare began to launch towards Van! And with the power he felt from such an attack he would swear it would knock them out even! No that was something very dangerous to happen here. That was something he couldn't allow. It was time..for him to show his true power. His Full Potential! His adrenaline began to pump right through his bloodstream, slowing time within his vision to a point his bodies natural combat instincts would be able to truly help at this moment.
"Van I got this! Super Kaioken! Ten Point Oh! " Chris would yell with intensity as he would flare his ki, a white ki, as it would change to a golden color and would gain an inner bright red ki. His power skyrocketing from his suppressed sixty thousand to the amount near five million! His eyes' colors changing to a vibrant teal color as his body gained a red tint. His hair even beginning to spike up as well as changing colors to that of a full golden color. His transformation having been completed within mere seconds as he moved faster than the eye could see, fast enough that it almost required one to be able to sense ki even as his movement had been practically instantaneous! He rushed in to take the full blow of the attack that was meant to be heading towards Vaneera. His blocking putting up with the attack as he tanked that of which as he and flare were sent outside. His normal clothes and hat having been burned off. He was in his hidden fighting gi underneath his normal clothing. Even with the beating toward his blocking...he was still barely scarred.
"You wanted to know who I was right? Well let me say what you are first. You are nothing but a spoiled brat, and I'm the one here who is only fifteen. You wanted this hospital to burn, you wanted to hurt Van and Motet here. I'm afraid I don't appreciate bullies like you. You wanted to know who I am? I am Chris, A Super Saiyan beyond the Limits!" Chris would roar as he let his power show. His ki able to be felt most likely all the way from the lookout itself! Chris truly was done playing around. The last psychopath he had faced not at his full power had killed hundreds of people. Now he would make sure this wouldn't happen. As his ki cracked the windows of the hospital just by him being near it so.
Rushing right underneath Flare he held both of hands in front of him facing flare, both turned up at a ninety degree angle he began to fuse together the sheer power of a hundred kamehamehas and a hundred big bang attacks to launch both right at his target! He was intending to bring her down with this one shot, not to kill but to merely knock out. However as both energies sat in his hands he felt that they had even more powerful than before, he assumed it must have been because of the kaioken ten point oh combined with his super saiyan state. That meant this attack wasn't one hundred times..it was one thousand times! "One Thousand Times! BIG BANG KAMEHAMEHA! " Chris would shout with intensity as a large red beam of three layer began to fly incredibly fast towards flare! The outer layer red like his kaioken, the middle layer a clean white energy of the kamehameha, and the inner a very dark blue of the big bang attack!

Motet would wait out the fiery girls angry words. She was mad, that was understandable. Shizen was very important to this woman, their was a chance even more important than she was to Motet. It was because of this she would listen to Flare's words quietly, only responding when their was a break in her talking.
"Then don't, don't let him get away with it.... you have every right to be mad at that jerk. But listen, just for a moment? I learned a new word today... I... I guess everybody else already knows it though. 'Death' if you keep this up the fires gonna spread. I... yesterday I would have liked the color but Flare... if you keep this up people are going to die"
Motet would curl her hand back around the seed her nature friend gave her and return her hand to her side. It was hoping so much that she could quell her emotional spike with just a few words. But Motet could not bring herself to fight Flare to stop her ether. She didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. She didn't wanna cause any more unneeded pain, especially to someone Shizen cared about. She only let out a light sigh as flare walked right past her, her emotional pitch rising further and further. The sad state of things seemed destined to continue. But Motet lacked much motive to do anything about. How was she supposed to when words went on death ears and her hands only brought pain? It was so confusing to her. She had absolutely no idea how to react to the events around her.
At least, until the elemi targeted Vaneera.
Though the attack was blocked by the guardian man Motet's rocky emotional state would spark up once more. Death, pain and everything else. Vaneera and Shizen, Her friends. No. NO she was not going to let this happen again. She refused to let her friends get hurt, even if it was by someone another friend care about. Motet would grip the seed tightly in her hand as she affirmed her choice.
"Sorry Shizen.... give me more peace lessons later ok? I... I can't let her hurt Vaneera, I can't leave the chance for it to happen"
As Chris charged his own attack Motet held her own arm out, and begin to charge what ki she could into her free hand. As she did she would give Flare a few more words, but she was going to stop her... whether threw words or threw... pain.
"I don't care if people throw rocks at me. I don't care if they slap me me around or tell me how bad I am... I can shrug it off, laugh about it later but... no matter what I can't, I WON'T forgive people who hurt my friends. Just like... you woudn't forgive anyone who hurt Shizen"
After her words Motet released the weak wave of energy and allowed it to spiral off towards Flare. It couldn't do much she knew but their a chance of it at least clouding her vision for a moment. A moment was all she wanted, and likely all the powered up form of the guardian needed. As the energy left her palm she offered a final sentence for flare, she could take how she wanted.
"She didn't follow US to the park that night, it wasn't us she wanted to see..... so chill out. It was you she wanted to see.... but none us could have stopped that jerk you know? So do me a favor and rest... rest so nothing has to burn.... rest, and calm down"
Motet let her head lie low as both her and Chris' attacks raced towards flare. She didn't like it. She had no desire to hurt anyone but she simply would not listen. So the only thing they could do... was make her sleep. Motet turned her gaze towards Vaneera, a rather sorrowful expression crossing her face.
"Sorry Van Van"

[Fired a Vt-1 Light Burst at Flare! Aiming to blind her in assistance to Chris' attack!]
When Flare approached, glaring into the future Viceroy's eyes with unbridled rage, the White Brenchian didn't flinch in the slightest. She just stared the Fire Elemi down. She was yelling loudly, like a Saiyan, in fact... Vaneera was able to equate a lot of this behavior to a Saiyan, actually. Including the rise in power. It... Was something that would have intimidated her on any other day, but not now. The White Brenchian faced down a god, and she was alive. This? This didn't even hold a candle to that type of power. Sure, she was no match for Flare.
Didn't matter. When the Fire Elemi approached for an attack, she braced herself to block it... Only to find out that someone else reacted in time against it. Chris's power just exploded several times above what she had previously sensed. That... It was pretty unreal, to say the least! Still nothing to compare to that blue haired man, but... It was more than enough to calm Flare down. As he shouted that he had this, Vaneera would just give a small nod to him. Motet was the next to act, unleashing a blinding attack on the Fire Elemi, which left her wide open to Chris's attack.
That attack was just insane...! He completely outmatched Flare, and then some! It was a combination of that, and Motet's words that left Vaneera stunned... "Wow...", she couldn't help but let out in awe. But finally the White Brenchian would begin to compose herself. The first thing she would do? Turn off the stun baton, drop it onto the ground and then make her way over to hug Motet. "Don't be sorry, Motet... I'm glad that you were willing to stand with me.", she spoke softly. This... It helped more than Motet probably realized.
Vaneera would then take a breath to compose herself further, and then release the hug. She'd turn to Flare, carefully making her way towards the Fire Elemi. "You're lecturing me about the safety of others...", she began, then kneeling down next to Flare. No doubt, the Elemi was severely injured at this point. "As you're standing in the middle of a hospital, ready to burn the entire thing down... And then? You wanted to fight a girl that was already injured. You ask if I have no shame, I'll return that question to you. Do you have any shame?", she inquired.
"Motet brought up an excellent point earlier... Shizen didn't follow me or Motet to the park... So who else showed up there? Hm? Who else was challenging a 'God King'? Who kept aggravating him even after seeing his power? ...Who said the one thing that you're never supposed to say to a tyrant?", Vaneera continued with the rhetorical questions. The Fire Elemi had better know damn well where this was leading, but just in case she didn't... "'Take me instead.'", she stated. After that her eyes would glance upwards, more a gesture of pondering rather than seeing if something was above her.
"You aggravated him... You gave him the exact reactions he wanted... And because of you? Rinako died. She died right in front of me. Then Shizen was taken, because she wanted to save you. Because you couldn't shut your mouth for five goddamn seconds. Now you want to throw a temper tantrum.", she paused again, now looking at Flare once more. "Fuck you and your persona. No one here is a threat to you. None of those men in uniform could have done anything to you. You didn't care, you just wanted to destroy. Act like a child."
She let that hang in the air for a moment. "You'll be treated like one. That's coming from the child... I don't owe you anything, but get over yourself. You don't even need to use your full power to get them off your back... It's only because I think you'll end up killing someone that I'll handle the talking for you... Don't expect anything else from me. And that offer I made to you before?", she reminded Flare. "You can forget it now.", with that, she'd stand up, turning away, but she stopped just to glance back down at her.
"...I almost lost Motet too. Think about more than just yourself next time.", she parroted the words back at Flare, then turning away entirely and walking back towards Motet. The expression on her face showed that she wasn't in a good mood. But... It was all something that had to be said, too. "Are you okay, Motet?", she asked, trying to soften her gaze and tone of voice a little. The White Brenchian would gently grasp Motet's shoulders. She probably came off as doting and clingy, but... All of this just reminded her of how close she came to losing everything.
Vaneera was lucky to still have Motet. But she could have ended up dead, or kidnapped too... Hell, the future Viceroy could have ended up dead as well. Or she could have been the one kidnapped. All because Flare couldn't think for five seconds before acting, and now she wanted to be the one to lecture the White Brenchian on all of this... It was more than a little infuriating, but she had to let go of that anger now. She still had Motet, and she was able to confirm that with her eyes, and just the simple gestures of touch.
She would finally look over at Chris. "...Thank you for helping with that. I don't know if I can give you any information that would help, but... I'd be willing to try.", she then stated to him. Vaneera was hoping for just a simpler recovery between her and Motet, but it made sense that things in life just wouldn't be that easy after such a traumatic event. At least the damage was minimized here, and surprisingly no one ended up dead. That was the single greatest victory for this moment... She just wished that Rinako was still alive in the hospital, too.
It all seemed to be in place… except for the fact that this Saiyan that previously came in just to try and talk her down in a cold demeanor came out of nowhere. Flare felt this enormous power spike from behind her, but by the time she had any say on it there he was… willing to easily take the blow for Vaneera and get shoved outside with her. The young man barely had a scratch on him, and he felt monstrous… Perhaps somewhere near the strength she had found Jarvis at in his base form.
“Wait, A super Kaia-what?” The term she never heard before was the first thing she had to say. The young flame was still lit aflame in the ferocious anger that fueled her form, yet she had to stop and wonder what the hell this guy said and how he managed to so easily topple her with such words… Chris also had some words to say of his own, called her a brat and a bully. He wasn’t wrong… at the moment. Her hypocrisy fell to deaf ears though as the words only seemed to make her angrier. And angrier.
“Of course, a SUPER SAIYAN! It’s always the saiyans! At this bloody point you’d think saiyans had no limits to break!” She grit her teeth at him, Chris, who had at that moment vanished and took to hover underneath her. The saiyan faced up at her, and within seconds started to let loose this loaded word of an attack on her. Vibrant colors emanated from his hands. She only had enough time to try shooting out her own flames. Arms spread out, the fire around her hands collected a concentrated amount of fire. The young flame reactively turned on the saiyan in this attempt to shut him down…
It didn’t work.
It didn’t work like the rest of the times she tried anything.
Even in this form, she couldn’t beat the simplest of enemies. A mere child saiyan with the alone toppled her in strength and overall power. Better yet the assistant that now stood beside him to blast this blinding light too. As she brought both fists together to unleash her beam of fire, it was apparent instantly which won. At close range the striped colored beam Chris sent off demolished her own fire beam, followed by the blinding light that pierced her eyes with a blinding effect. The huge attack erupted around her. All she could do was hold out and scream in pain as it did so.
For a moment, the blinded elemi held inside the beam. A mere second was enough for her body to give out resistance against the attack though. This super elemi form was flung out of her body as another limp Flare was carried by the beam a good bit up into the air. The beam tore up most of her clothing. This left her almost nude. Strips of her armored smithing clothes were all that remained. After the beam passed the flung elemi had a pained moment realization; Flare started back on down, almost straight down, to the ground just outside the hospital. She hurt all over, again.
Weakened PL: 20,000 PL.
“A-AHHH!” Thud. Flare landed hard on her stomach. The fire elemi left a bit of an impression on the soil beneath her. Again, hurting all over. She let out groans of pain as she tried still to get up. Was she… angry, anymore? She still felt the desire to keep going, to get yelling at the world, yet… She did not have the energy for it. On her knees and hands, the defeated and weak Flare spat out some blood on the ground before shakily wiping it from her mouth. Ouch.
“Why…” Her aggressive voice was brought down a notch. For once she sounded like a sensitive female, perhaps a bit stark of a change for who she was. “Why am I not strong? I can’t even… I can’t even hold my own against a child.” She had done loads of training the past year… was she just not good enough? Was this the reason Shizen had to be taken from her? “F-fuck... “ Being blinded by Motet earlier, she only had a sense to tell exactly when and where people were. Vaneera, she could easily hear. it was not a problem.
“I…” She tried to speak, but Vaneera was making such a good case against her. She couldn’t see it, but the young flame assumed the viceroy was angry at her. So angry. She sounded like she would have taken a bite out of her if she wanted to. “Shame? I… I do h-” Again, she couldn’t formulate anything to counter it. She had calmed down from before, sure, but now she started to lightly tremble beside the viceroy. “I… wasn’t challenging him, I…” But she totally was. And she was and felt like an idiot for doing so. Flare should have never thought of anything wrong of that blue prick when he was around.
“Vaneera, sorry, I’m…” More and more… she started tearing up quietly as she got ripped again and again. “Rinako… the fox chick? Jarvis would have never!-” Again… Shut down. The officers were of no real threat, as she said. She had enough control to knock them out cold, but even then such excessive force was not necessary. “Vaneera, I know she did it because of me… I… I…” Well, it seemed the police would at least be off her back, but then she seemed to not want anything to do with the Flame. Even if it meant they could work together to get Shizen back.
“W-wait. Wait, please.” She sounded so vulnerable. Weak. “Please don’t. I’m sorry. I’m so so so SO sorry.” She had to sense for it, but the young flame attempted to, rather slowly, grasp the viceroy’s leg as she tried walking away. “I want to get Shizen back, and… I want all the help I can get.” She didn’t seem to be in much of a position to want anything at all though. “I… I screw up a lot. Still do… But please! I didn’t m-mean for this to happen. I-I didn’t know what to do, I was just… I was...” The tears that had stealthy dripped down her face before started dripping off her cheeks. Flare… started bawling her eyes out. Perhaps like a child. But more in line with a distressed young woman who had lost someone close to them.
She wouldn’t fake it, she never wanted to be seen crying like this. The fires in her hair had surged again, but this was of the sadness she turned in exchange for her previous rage. Not anywhere close to as dangerous.
“I don’t know what came over me, I was just so mad. So sad. It felt like a storm in my mind. That emotion... It... it made me... even more angry. Like a vicious... cycle.” Even if she had not managed to grab Vaneera’s leg successfully her body would slowly sink down lower down into the ground. Her arms had given way to stress. She would have to pitifully raise her head to direct it towards conversation. “Y-you can’t just leave me alone like this! I… I don’t think I can do this on my own. I… don’t mean with just pure strength either… I… I’ll continue having nightmares like I did minutes ago! Things will haunt me, I'll never forgive myself... Closure… I-I need it."
To Motet, she would also plea. Just giving her the same look… blinded. Saddened. Tears running down her face. “Please… I… just want… Shizen back safe and sound… To make Jarvis pay… I didn’t mean for this… I didn’t… I-I swear. It’s my big stupid mouth, I just want to not fuck up again! PLEASE!” The last two words were so strained when Flare spoke that she coughed to clear her throat right before she dipped her head into her own arms, face in the ground, as she sobbed. In her lonesome, or with the comfort of someone else. This would not change the outcome of her crying.
Flare beam struggled Chris’s [OT-3] BBK [6,591,439 PL Damage] with her own [OT-2] Ignis Fluminis[1,206,760 Power/ 1,055,915 Speed]. Lost terribly, and became incapable of fighting. Flare took Motet’s [VT-1] Light Burst, being blinded enough for the post.
Chris had used his entire bolt of energy in that single attack, that was endless to say that it had taken more than a sheer bit out of his body and energy. His Super Kaioken Aura still blaring around him however. Still he couldn't hold this form for terribly too long and frankly just holding it for as long as right now, combined with the power he had used. It made his chest hurt really bad. Almost breathtakingly like. Damn sickness was getting to him, and he had no idea what it could be even. He just had to hold on for a bit longer and regain control.
As he began to relax the form he was in, his power began to decrease back to a more calming state, dropping out of both the kaioken and super saiyan state. His body both exhausted from the power he had used, and the unknown sickness that still plagued him. In fact he began to violently cough, even coughing up a small bit of blood before he was able to fully get back up. Trying to act as if he hadn't just coughed up a small bit of blood. As hard as it would be to deny it.
The words he had managed to hear from both Vaneera and Motet had been quite powerful indeed, all he could hope was that Flare here had heard the words thoroughly. If not, there wasn't much they could do for her anyway. The only way to fix issues like this, and he knew best of this one, both from personal experience and of a friend. Was to let them face it alone, let them truly reflect upon themselves. That was the only way they ever got to see what they truly almost did. What they had done. That was the only way one could ever truly understand.
"You can't ever judge one's strength purely on their looks. While I am young, heck only fifteen. I've faced more than you ever will know, I've had to face family who have threatened to destroy this world because of my master, my cousin. If they did not fight my other cousin who had issued such a threat than they were all the willing to do it! Not everything is poor you, not all opponents are based completely on looks, I'm an advanced student of Martial Arts, I faced that being named Jarvis back when he first became a god, I watched him eat my friend whole! I nearly killed him, but because I had been too weak. He gained what is called a zenaki, an ability saiyans have where they get stronger when they come close to death. Because of my mistake, we nearly all died there. I sacrificed my own life just to keep him held back long enough until help could arrive. Because once again, my arrogant cousin, the one who threatened this planet, held back my Master when she tried to help. I died that day, I lost my father that day, my real father, because of that man. You know what I did? I trained, I trained both mind and spirit, for a month in the afterlife on a planet with ten times normal gravity wearing four thousand tons of weights. I didn't go wreck havoc on a bloody hospital. " Chris would say simply as he began to get up and fly back towards Vaneera. However not before uttering a few last words to Flare. "Those things that happened, you have no one to blame...but yourself. If I were you, and this is something my friend did as well. Go away. Go somewhere where you can be alone, and reflect on who you really are, reflect on everything that made you you, and reflect on everything you've done to others. Only than, will you ever have my respect. That's the only way you will ever find true closure. " Chris would say without looking at Flare as he continued to float back towards Van.
He would begin to swiftly speak to her, still not offering a single glance back to Flare. Only proving even more, he meant everything he had said towards her. " You can say what you want to her, but I've said all that I've needed to say. Everything I said to her is the truth and nothing more. The information I wanted to know, is just for you to explain what all exactly happened while you were with the god king, what caused him to flare his power and attack all of you, just the full details. " Chris would ask with his voice beginning to regain the emotion that he hadn't given Flare. From experience of his own, the best way to learn..was from the harshest of treatments. You couldn't just treat someone nicely and tell them everything would be okay. That just wasn't how the world worked. How the worked, was either you knew or did not. And if you did not, well you were gonna learn the hard way. " Before you ask, I do know of Shizen. We met a long time ago, at least six months ago I think, I helped get her out of a town before a fight broke out. We talked for a bit, we became friends, sadly something came up and I had to leave without a notice. The next time I had saw her, I had been in my great ape form facing a majin who had before killed hundreds of people because I had been too weak, I damaged the majin a bit, but they had ran away..That was the last time I ever saw Shizen, to know Jarvis has her..I won't lie to you, When I first died. I sensed...a bit of good still in Jarvis. I have a gut feeling. He won't be harming her. " Chris would say with a subtle voice. These past memories brought tears to his eyes. Even as he began to stumble to one of the walls and lying his side on it. Just something to give him a little easier of a time getting a breath.
