A tournament. One against any fighters in the universe. Sarai was beyond pumped. Fighting. Dancing in aggression and fun. This was what she was born for. Was BUILT for. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins. She felt she was ready, she felt the need to begin. An announcer would call the names of the next contestants. Loud and for all to hear.
Where they were meant to go was a small arena. In the middle of bright green grass. A field. In this field was a raised platform of stone slabs. It was a square. Meter by meter squares of stone that were flattened out into a fifty by fifty meter area. Making her way up the steps to this platform, the blonde felt nothing but excitement. She wasn’t afraid. She wasn’t nervous. Sarai was simply and utterly excited. Around this platform of stone. Around the field it sat in. Were stands. Large stands filled with people. Cheering and hollering for the two fighters that came to be against one another.
Crossing the stone towards the middle of the arena, the Angelean’s blue eyes would dart about her surroundings. This was her stage. She would show them all the power of her species. Angeleans would become known again! Now all they needed was the other contestant and the signal to start. Then. The joy of competition would begin.
(Current PL: 26,274 Offense/8,758 Defense due to +x2/+x0) (Actual PL: 8,758) (Appearance)
So this was it? The so called World Martial Arts tournament. Spark has heard whispers of this thing during his travels around planets with his mother, but never paid much attention to them, and was instead focused on getting the job done, or getting his inebriated mom back home safely on certain days. Though, it wasn't the time to be thinking on the past. Now, it was time to dominate this E-yarthling battle sport which the Heran raised Elemi found himself joining for glory....and that sweet cash prize at the end.
Once his opponent made it onto the arena, the clear blue sky began to crackle with blue lightning, but not enough to indicate a thunderstorm which would have been strange given how obviously beautiful it is out here. This would most likely get the attention of the crowd who would look up to see what was going on, some people even going into a panic. Just what the hell was going on!? If one were to look close enough, they would see a figure floating up there in the middle of the small lightning storm. Suddenly, it would dart down in a bolt of lightning, crashing onto the ground which would kick up any dirt, or dust around it. Once the dust has dispersed, it would reveal a boy with fluffy white hair, and blue eyes that burned like his opponent's, a blue scouter around his right eye. He was crouched on the ground due to landing, lightning surging around him a bit as he bounced back up, and started to wave his hands in the air towards the crowd who continued to cheer. "You guys are noisy as hell, but yeeaaaaahhhhhh, bloodshed!!!" he'd yell out, trying to match the audience's enthusiasm before turning towards the blonde woman.
Spark lowered his arms, and folded them together as a smirk appeared on his face. He'd silently look up, and down the taller woman before raising his hand towards the side of the scouter, pressing it so he could get a quick read of his opponent's power, wanting to know just how strong she is. "Of ALL the people, they gave me a wimpy E-yarthling...." Spark groaned as the scouter proceeded to calculate the blonde's power until giving him some numbers. "Only nine thousand?" he placed his clenched fists against his waists before tilting his head a bit at her. "Welllllll, I guess that's okay....for a E-yarthling." the cocky boy claimed with a shrug, tilting his head from side to side before slipping into a battle stance, his legs parted, and fists up as if he were boxing. "The name's Spark by the way. A true Heran warrior, and soon to be best Mercenary in the damn galaxy!" he'd grin before continuing.
"You'd best remember that while I'm mopping the floor with that butt of yours, blondey!!" Good sportsmanship....was never really a thing in this kid's vocabulary.
Sarai didn’t know what to make of it. Electricity was running through the air, not a cloud in place. Was there a shortage somewhere? Someone should get that fixed, someone could hurt themselves! It seemed the crowd was unsettled by this as well. The blonde putting her hands to her hips, she’d look up to the spectacle in the air. Crackling energy surging around th- was that a person? Tilting her head a bit to try and get a clearer view, it wouldn’t be long before this speck in the sky raced downwards. Crashing into the stone like a pillar of lightning and ending in a knelt position.
Sarai would chuckle to herself as she stood up, raising his hands to the now cheering people. She was ready to get this show on the road. His comment was... odd. Bloodshed? That wasn’t really what a fighting tournament was about! Not in her mind at least. It was competition. Fun. Enjoyment of two battling. Not blood. Then the two would face one another. Sarai had been watching him but this child just turned to her. Sparkling blue eyes similar to hers, he crossed his arms and they held similar expressions.
He looked her over and all Sarai could do was wait. No announcement was given to start. No word stated. So she listened to the rambling child. Something about a number, he spoke weird. E-yarthling. Was he mentally handicapped? That would be odd to fight against. Still. He entered, his problem. He’s settle into a more fitting fighting stance, which invited Sarai to do similar. Her knees bent and she loosened her muscles. Ready to go at a moment’s notice. Her arms held up but so much less rigid and precise than the boy.
“A Heran’s cruelty can’t amount to the abilities of an Angelean.”
She spoke with confidence, but not the loud bravado of the child. She spoke to him alone. Her competitor. She wore her same grin. There was a slight inkling of irritation in the back of her mind. Heran. The race that created her. Took her mother. And likely was the reason she was abandoned in the first place.
The proctor would tell them to begin.
Sarai wasted no time, pushing off with her feet, rushing him, she’d send a knee straight for the kid’s face.
Spark's blood was pumping, and his body filled with excitement as he bounced around some in his fighting stance, feet "dancing" about. He was ready to get this over with, and head on to that sweet cash reward! His opponent would then speak, causing the boy to stop in his tracks as he tilted his head, lowering his arms to his sides. "The hell's an Angeleno?" he asked, butchering up words as usual. He wasn't really the intelligent bunch, but...he still got around.
"Hmmm....I think I heard of that before." he claimed, possibly some truth to it. Spark has been around a lot with his mother, so there is the possibility that he has heard about them, heard whispers of this Angel thing, or whatever it was she talked about. However, thanks to being wrapped up in his own thoughts, Spark didn't realize that the battle has begun, and was suddenly met with a knee to the face! The impact caused him to bounce back some with an obvious groan, and eyes squint shut. His feet slid back against the stone ground before he managed to stop himself, shaking his head as he found himself a little dazed before looking straight back at the damn blonde.
"Playing dirty huh? Not bad for a human...." he claimed with a smirk before dashing towards her, feet off the ground. Once he was close enough, the boy would pretend to send a punch straight towards his opponent's stomach only to stop a few inches before attempting to ram a leg against her side to start things off on his part, a wicked grin on his face.
It was on!
(Attempting to send a leg straight into Sarai's side. 1,313 PL)
Was he mentally slow? Sarai didn’t think on this long. She had much more important things to do. Like get her head in the game! In a ready stance, waiting for that moment to begin, all she could feel was excitement. Joy. Suspense. The world was all right here in this fifty by fifty meter square of stone. Her and this young boy. Sarai wasn’t one who would take it easy on a child in a situation like this. He signed up. He knew what he was getting into. Besides, this was fun!
It seems he should have paid more attention. The blonde rushed forward and sent her knee for his face. It didn’t particularly send her upwards much, she got to hold her ground and balance. Why? The kid was short as heck. He was a kid after all. With a bit of a low thunk, she heard and felt her knee make contact with his face. A grin of never ending joy on the female’s face, she swung through with her momentum. In order to get the full impact. He slid backwards and Sarai regained her stance. Her balance wasn’t off. Her hit was a success. She even continued to move in forward, going at him again. This wasn’t the time to wait, that meant failure!
ACTION was needed. If she had been in a more subtle or talkative mood, she may have answered. But this was battle. Her blood was pumping. She must enjoy and keep pushing. He may think she was playing dirty but HE was the one not paying attention. They rushed at one another over the short distance, and he’d jump. Sarai knew many things about being in bad positions. Hell, she put herself in them all the time. Close quarters by choice.
This kid left his base. A smirk upon her face, she’d side step him [dodge]. Out of the way of his punch and with her luck, avoiding his kick in the process. As his body was moving past hers with forward momentum and lacking a base on the ground from his jump, her own hands would snatch for the kid’s leg that hadn’t kicked at her. If she so latched on, she’d spin once, utilizing his momentum and building it up further, before hurling him towards the side of the stone arena. Using whatever strength she could muster, she attempted to fling him out of the ring!
"Are you freakin kidding me...." Spark would mumble to himself silently as his attempted kick to the side ended in failure! Not only did this blonde wimp manage to dodge his kick, she also grabbed the boy by that very leg! The crowd cheered as this continued on. The actions at this point were small, but at least things were starting to happen which pleased these simple minded fool!
Wasting no time, the blonde spun around once with Spark in her grip, causing the boy to get dizzy for a bit before she throw the little guy, no doubt attempting to go for a ring out. Spark was sent back first flying, his eyes glued to Sarai this entire time in more of an annoyed expression. The teen managed to stop himself before he could fly out, and floated in midair. Spark just floated there lightning crackling around him, watching the woman below him for a bit while gritting his teeth before grinning followed with a childish snicker. "Okay, lady. Let's see ya walk after this...."
With that, the boy would swoop down in front of the woman at great speed before landing. As soon as he'd land, he would attempt to preform a leg sweep in hope of making her trip forward. If it succeeds, Spark would take the time to generate electricity around his clenched fists, feet, and forehead. After letting out a brutish like roar, the Heran trained Elemi would send a small barrage the woman's way with his powered up limbs. First a punch to the stomach, then two swift punches to each side of her face followed by a kick to the side of her face then another kick sent up towards the woman's chin before attempting to catch the woman's face, both hands on each cheek as he tilted his electrified head back some, throwing it forward straight towards the woman's head in hopes of knocking her out. If his forehead makes contact, it will create a small thunder like sound upon impact.
She didn't want to waste time it seems, neither did the impatient little brat.
The user starts off by generating lightning around their hands, feet, and forehead before charging towards their target. The user will send a quick barrage of punches, and kicks towards the target with their lightning powered limbs before finishing it off with an electric powered headbutt that will give off a sound similar to that of thunder on a small scale. [25% of the user's current PL in damage.] [/spoiler]
Continue to move forward. Keep your weight balanced and steady Be aware of your opponent. The blonde’s mind was rushing with excited thoughts and reminders. Hit hard but don’t throw yourself off. She caught his leg, spinning him once around and sending him flying! YES. Meter after meter he’d soar through the air, her blue eyes focusing upon the stare that came back at her. A grin on her face, she’d walk in the direction of the flying child. Leaving the center of the ring and moving towards the edge he was going to be thrown from!
But no such miracle happened. The boy levitated in the sky, stopping his momentum. He hadn’t left the ring and the female had barely crossed five meters from the center. As he floated in air, electricity crackled around him. He was glaring, unhappy. Then... he grinned and snicker. Raising a brow, Sarai wasn’t quite sure what that meant. The electricity around his body was more pronounced then when they were close. And when he flew back towards her, the angel’s eyes flickered with excitement. Maybe she should step it up too.
The celestial bodies granted her their power, increasing her energy and abilities [transformation activated]. The Angel looked little different, no raising of the hair, no sparkling of the eyes. The basic power of an Angelean being just a step above her normal self. But Sarai waited. Her muscles loose and body ready for his incoming, the child landed hard. His shortness dropped him easily, sweeping his legs for hers. It put him agonizingly close to her with his shortened legs in comparison. She danced over the sweep, dodging it from hitting her ankles or bothering her own footwork.
But the boy wouldn’t let up. In the blonde’s amusement he would charge electricity about his body, dancing in his own way. A large flurry of attacks would come her way. The boy trying to hit her in the stomach, face, and more. He was quick, but her call to the planets would assist her in keeping up. A near mocking grin upon her own expression as the energy danced through her body. It energized her muscles, each movement in dodge to his. His fist would come for her stomach, she’d shift back just out of reach. For her face she’d drop. His kick would give her time to back up again. The chin being out of reach as well. His last grab, for her head, she’d use her own last bit of temporary power to shift to his side.
If he had a moment’s hesitation, her fist would fly forward to connect with his side. Her grin hadn’t faltered. These people needed to feast their eyes upon the power of Angeleans!
Angeleans' bodies naturally generate a rather neutral form of energy to boost their strength by a rather small amount. However it is noted the user will be extremely exhausted after a long period of use. [x2]
Utilized - Dodge 18,000 > 6,568 [ST-1] Swift of Wing
By utilizing her senses to predict her opponent's movements and focusing her ancient ki, she can momentarily energize her body to either avoid attacks in a moment or utilize her quick burst of speed to gain an element of surprise. [Allows Dodging up to 100% of Sarai's PL]
Alternative Reaction - Punch to side [900 PL]
Spark’s damage so far 450pl

Spark had it all planned out! He was going to dive in, trip this blonde fool up some, then finish things off with a swift electrifying combo of his! The arrogant boy wanted to hurry up, and take care of this woman so he could fight someone more interesting. Perhaps someone who wasn't a E-yarthling. With a boost of confidence, and a sly smirk, the boy would come down not realizing the power boost his opponent just went through due to having his scouter off.
But it would appear that his plans would fall to pieces....
His planned leg sweep would end in failure as the blonde easily dodged it, causing Spark's eyes to widen before lowering them some. No, he wasn't going to let that get to him! He would still attempt to go through with his idea, and charge electricity through his limbs, and forehead. He started his series of strikes, but....something was wrong. His opponent....she was dodging them all!! The more she continued to taunt the boy like this, the angrier her got, signs of desperation, and irritation on his face as he continued. How could this lower life form be so damn fast!? She danced around the Elemi's moves, making a mockery of them!
Still, he had confidence that his headbutt would at least get in, but sadly it would also be for nothing. As Spark held his hands out in an attempt to catch his foe's head, she'd quickly shift to the boy's side much to his surprise, the shock giving her enough time to land an attack of her own, a punch against his side. The boy would wince, and bite his lower lip as the punch forced him to the ground, sliding on his side for a bit before stopping. The crowd, baffled by this turn of events began to cheer loudly for the the blonde's comeback! Spark laid there on his side, back facing the woman as he started to think with his eyes close. "No...." the boy finally grunted from laying there silently for a few seconds. He slowly sat back up, now on his butt, but still facing away from her. "Hell....no..." electricity would form around him once more, now more intense than before as his power raised. He was becoming consumed by anger, anger of being bested by someone he claimed to be nothing but a lower life form. He wanted to....he needed to show the world that Herans weren't a race that could be trampled over! That he had what it takes to become a Mercenary!
"There is no way....I'm going to be....one upped..." he got back on his feet, still not facing the lady. He lowered his head for a second before rising it up as he clenched his fists. "BY A FREAKING E-YARTHLING!!!"
Letting his anger drive him, Spark quickly turned around, and dashed towards the woman, attempting to wrap his arms around her waist before taking flight with her. He'd continue to fly up until they were far from the arena to the point that it would look small to the two. The enraged Elemi would let go of his opponent as electricity started to generate more around his right hand now clenched into a fist. The concentrated source of lightning would grow bigger, and bigger until the boy was ready. As soon as the woman began heading downwards, Spark would thrust that arm forward, and fire off a large burst of electricity up towards the possibly falling Angel in hopes that it would make a painful impact. All with a furious smirk on his face!
Just like Lightning Crash, the user clenches a fist as electricity generates around said fist. The user will then hold their arm out towards their target as a great burst of electricity is sent in the direction the arm is facing, fist still clenched. [Does 50% of the user's current PL in damage.]
YEA MAN! Got the kid in his side! Another hit down and a lot more fight to go. Every dodge and punch gave Sarai more momentum and joy. This was what she LIVED for. It was fun and pumping and amazing. She felt energized and alive. Only one other thing had made her feel this way, and it was less universal than fighting tended to be. The kid’s fury was dully noted with every move she made. In Sarai’s eyes, people just couldn’t get furious when they were fighting. She couldn’t see it or understand it.
In a less... hyper state of mind, she knew it existed. Many a people had gotten pissed at her during a fight. But now, right there in that now, she was happy and excited. Nothing could ruin her mood. The sounds of the crowd were all but gone from the blonde’s ears. Spark was her focus. Spark was what she was fighting. This child was what her attention revolved around. Sarai raced after Spark once he was downed.
Hit in the side, she’d go after his form. Taking an elbow, she meant to slam it atop his skull as he was on the ground. He needed to react faster. He needed to move! The electricity burst with life, but Sarai’s knowledge and sense of power levels was non-existent. This electricity had been seen before, it was obviously powerful, but the blonde did not realize how much. This would very much prove to be to her disadvantage.
His speed increased like she didn’t expect. Turning and flying towards her with little warning. An ‘oomph’ would escape her lungs and lips as he caught her around the middle, immediately taking them both into the sky. A smirk upon her lips, Sarai didn’t realize how much she was in for. But... the air. That was no easy place for her to be. She had no ability to fly. A fall was directly that, a fall.
And that’s what would happen. The ground below them near fading away, Spark would release the Angelean. Falling, he was screaming, she could see that light of energy dancing around him in the form of electricity. This hit was going to suck. Hitting the ground. But with her same smirk she’d holler back at the boy, her eyes coming to life with a golden color. She needed his attention on her. Little did she know, she’d very well be granted that. He was aiming an attack, a taunt wasn’t needed.
“Excuse YOU. ANGELEAN.”
The burst of light coming forth from her eyes and threatening to paralyze her foe. Her hope had been to stun him. Let him fall to the ground with her. If she was at all lucky, the little fucker would fall from the ring and give her the win. Assuming she’d live through the impact.
If his attack continued regardless of her flare of light, Sarai would be in a world of surprise for his attack to knock her completely unconscious, threads from death.
Angeleans' bodies naturally generate a rather neutral form of energy to boost their strength by a rather small amount. However it is noted the user will be extremely exhausted after a long period of use. [x2]
Utilized - Preventative Measure? Praying to interrupt the timeline for getting shocked to death. XD [ST-1] Angelic Flare:
By use of the eyes of her people, Sarai can start a brilliant flash of light by willing her irises to gather her ki and make her eyes a golden color. Then bursting the ki forth from her body, the light is blinding to all those who are in her vicinity to witness. [One turn stun non harming. Must get above 50% of the user's PL to dodge.]
Spark’s damage so far 1350pl
Sarai likely takes 39,411 PL damage for the knockout [yay non DE]
Fueled by nothing but rage at this point, Spark continued on, not planning on stopping until he has broken every bone in his opponent's body. He had fired off a large burst of lightning towards the woman, but unknown to him due to his blind rage, he would get struck by an attack the Angelean has sent his way. It wasn't a damaging one however, but one that caused his body to go stiff, unable to move.
With his attack having struck her, and her attack striking him, the two began to fall. Spark struggled to try to get free, but unfortunately it wouldn't work. Unlike the blonde who most likely fell to the arena, Spark wasn't as fortunate, and found himself falling out of the arena....but not before hitting his head on the side of it, leaving him unconcious.
The boy laid there in the grass on his back with eyes closed. The crowd after waiting on the edges of their seats began to cheer as it seems like they had their victor.
The crowds cheering turned to a stunned and confused murmur as one contest was struck with a powerful blow, seemingly falling unconscious from the blow. While the second competitor, young Spark was entrapped in a body restricting technique that sent him stumbling off the stage! With both fighters unconscious everyone gathered to watch the match just seemed at a loss.
Quick to step in with a reading from the official tournament rule book the match announcer wast fast to the tiled arena, microphone already cracking with the sounds of her ruling. "Perhaps for the first time in any Worlds Martial Arts Tournament we have seen both fighters rendered completely helpless under the rigorous conditions of battle! Yet since contestant Spark has not only loss consciousness but also fallen outside the ring this match goes to Sarai Naftali! Can we please get a round of applause for both of these fine contestants!?" they announced with all the dramatic flare one could only gain with years of official judgments and events under there belt.
The crowd broke into a heavy cheer and applause as paramedics moved in to aid both the fighters, as well as clear the ring for the next round!
