'Finally.... It's time I take the spot for Kami's Assistant,'
Cleopatra Shamoon. Human, young, a student, the last of her family, and above all else... Protector of Earth and the Universe. Adding a bonus for being the figure of her people known as 'Humanity'. Young Cleopatra was standing on top of the Lookout near the edge, staring off into the beautiful lands of mother Earth. Winds kicking her trench coat a bit, though her trench coat heavy from the weights it provided her. Her dark brown eyes peered off into the distance with a since of blankness... Here the world was and here she was... Above it all. Truly, this was a 'gods' spot for Earth but she wasn't the Kami. No, that was Arion's spot. It belonged to someone who's heart was mature and wise. Cleo was still a young, immature, and unwise girl. She didn't quite know how to completely control her emotions yet. It was all still too much for her too handle anyways!
Cleopatra would slowly crouch over the ledge, resting there a bit. 'Such a beautiful world, so fertile... So gentle all together. The water is so blue, the air is so clean. How could anyone ever go rampant here? I mean.. look at my old home at the Overwatch Citadel. It took months to build and only a few hours to destroy... Geez... If someone had the heart of insanity, they could destroy a planet with an experience of millions of years... under a day... I wouldn't let anyone do that but... it's all still a possibility. I must grip reality and accept the mantle of Earth's assistant Kami. Mmmmmm~... I think I've got a little more time too decide...' raising herself up, she would turn towards the sacred temple-like structure, winds blowing her trench coat and hair.
Indeed, a unique structure... Origins unknown but a history behind it that's so great that it made those awe towards it's fascination. This place here.... This place right here was going to be her new home. With a soft breath, she would take a good look back into the open... She just had so much thoughts going through her head. 'You know... It's kinda funny... I remember when I first came up here from climbing and met Sinthe and Carmel... Sinthe thought he was so hot but Carmel was so gentle and fragile. It makes me kinda sad because I didn't have a worry in the world back then. Now, I'm here and once I enter that temple... I'm going to officially call myself the Kami's Assistant. Remember, Cleo... Once you're the Assistant... You're gonna have to be more bold, more mature, more smart! I can't be a girl anymore... I just can't... After losing my family at the Citadel, it's been so hard to be a kid. Not too forget I was under officer training school too~! Guhhh.. Cleo! Stop being a baby! Just walk in! Greet Arion and get on with it! Instead of being so scared of responsibilities, embrace them!'
Why would she debate these thoughts many could wonder. It was actually something to do with her possibly failing at protecting the world and the universe. Yes, she bragged that she herself would be the Universe's number one protector however... She was currently refusing to learn Universe sensing because... she was scary of sensing the darkness all across the universe. It was like a major OCD spike hitting her brain if she sensed a lot of dark spots. Was she really prepared to do it? Indeed, so many thoughts gave her a trance but she was now facing the challenge ahead. She knew it was all but a challenge but... she had friends on her side! She had Jie Shan, Arion, Galen, Carmel, and now the one that mattered to her the most... Lucy, her little sister. She had all those people to support her on her journey so why not think optimistic about it instead of thinking pessimistic? She would give the beautiful Earth a warm smile...
"You know... Being a Kami Assistant isn't the worst thing. As a matter of fact, I think it's going to be the path to an enlightened future. Rather good or bad... I will prosper. I will show that humanity is strong. I will show that the innocent can have justice. I will show the entire universe that evil should flee before my heart and soul. At the end... I will somehow, somewhere become the one they call... A hero! I'm not scared of you! I'm not scared of the Universe! YEAH! I'm going to step into that Lookout and officially become the one the universe can love! The one the universe can rely on! The one that the PLANET can rely on! YEAHHH! I'VE GOT THIS!" she shouted across the world.
She turned around, smiling at the lookout before taking a few steps towards it when suddenly... Visitors! She slowly kept her cool, clearing her throat as she prepared herself. She had to put on some kind of show anyways... She was going to be the Kami's Assistant!
He wondered why he hadn't done this before back then when he became informed about the Kami of Earth and what her job entailed.
Cervez looked up, and up and UP at the massive pillar of stone that stretched high above the skies, above the clouds with no end in sight. "So this is the place where Kami resides..." Supposedly, even before you could reach the top of the massive pillar, there was a house of some sorts, or more like a checkpoint at the middle point of the pillar. Based on what the locals said, it was called Korin's Tower and oh so long ago many people had come here in order to test themselves, to scale the massive pillar and reach this Korin for some sort of mystical training.
Bah, probably just hearsay or some sort of legend, a trial of passage if you will that has been told so many times that people had started to believe it. In his case, he didn't really believe that someone named Korin was still up there in his tower after all these years, while he knew that there were many beings in the galaxy with the potential to live for a very long time, he did not think this 'Korin' was one of them.
"Unless each of his offsprings is named Korin, somehow keeping the illusion in check for anyone that dares to scale the pillar." Over the top and almost ridiculous in its logic, so he quickly scrapped that thought into a mental waste bin. "Now, let's see..." Slowly, his feet began to leave the ground, his form levitating little by little as he ascended to the skies above. He had no real reason to hurry, it wasn't like the Kami of Earth would just suddenly leave out into the unknown for some reason, and his energy sensing abilities easily confirmed that there WERE some people up at the top, so at least this little trip wouldn't be a complete waste of time.
Ears twitching, the Anubian couldn't help but pull a face as he heard a womanly voice echo down from the top of the pillar, spouting out some sort of... speech? A self-motivational speech it sounded like. "Was that... the Kami I heard so much about?" He couldn't really say, as far as he remembered back when he met Gouken and Komatsu, they mentioned that the God of this planet, its protector was a woman named Atsuko, so perhaps the voice belonged to her? The voice sounded eerily familiar, almost like he had heard it before, but for the life of him, he couldn't really place it, which was frustrating, to say the least.
Curious, very curious. He upped his flight speed a little faster, his form now bypassing the 'middle' point of the pillar, his purple eyes briefly looking down at the house-like structure that was made inside and out of the pillar before he focused once again to the skies, breaching the clouds that obscured his vision, he marvelled at what stood at the top of this absurdly long pillar of stone.
With a muted thud, his feet touched the holy grounds of this strange place, his eyes taking in their surroundings with an analytical gaze, hiding a wince at how easy the place seemed to infiltrate since it didn't appear to have any sort of defense mechanism built in place. He didn't know if he should take comfort in the fact that he wouldn't have to deal with some sort of trap or be dismayed that the inhabitants wouldn't be able to protect much of this place in the case that someone decided to assault the lookout.
Oh if only he knew what had happened here in the past.
Shaking his head from those thoughts, he focused back on the... yes, it seemed to be a lookout of some sort by all accounts, with its bowl-shaped structure it was easy to spot anyone that would dare to come up, and also easy to look down below and take your sight of what was happening from a safe distance. Indeed, he could see why there were rumors that a 'Guardian' of some sort might have lived in this place. 'Now, where is this Guardian, this Kami of Earth hiding I wonder?'
Looking forward, Cervez blinked multiple times as a familiar face graced his sight. He couldn't help it, an eyeridge rose at the sight of the young woman before him. 'Is that... the Kami of Earth?' His head tilted slightly to the side, looking like a dog that had found something confusing yet interesting at the same time. 'No, she's not the Kami, I remember now...' He had seen her back at the Saiyan Outpost, no wonder her voice had been familiar just now. 'She's the... Assistant to the Kami, or so she proclaimed? Her name was... Cleopatra... Sham... Sham-something. Is she really the Assistant?'
Well, one way to find out.
"Nice place we have here," Cervez called out with the ghost of a grin upon his features, slowly walking towards the young woman, seeing as he had seen everything there was to see from the outside, it was time to check how the inhabitants of this place were like, and also to potentially meet the fabled Kami he heard much about months ago. "I believe we've met before some days ago, you might have already forgotten but in any case, the name's Cervez," He half-bowed to her, though his eyes never strayed away from her. "It's nice to make your acquaintance yet again."
Straightening back to his full height, the dark purple-furred jackal looked over her shoulder at the building that stood at the center of the lookout. "Is the Kami around, by any chance? I wanted to speak with her about certain matters..."
Whether she replied in the affirmative or not, he'd focus his gaze back on her and raise an eyeridge. "Did you actually meant all of that just now?" He'd ask almost out of the blue, the jackal referring to her speech from a few moments ago. "Are you ready for what that will entail?" He didn't elaborate much further than that, trying to get a feeling of this young woman and her resolve about becoming 'the one that the planet can rely on'.

Galen was tending to his senzu plants, watering them and making sure the soil was properly fertilized with only the best Korin’s Sacred Grounds cattle manure, which was one of the main requirements for it to grow properly. The water used to nourish them came directly from the Timeless Lookout: a special brand of the holy water, not one that could empower a good living creature, but one that was enough to send the right energy properties to the magical seeds. After that, a bit of sunlight to caress them and allow them to flourish and thrive. Once he was done, Galen went back to the fountain in the middle of the second floor of his Tower and washed his face and arms. Being born a farmer made this job quite easy, relaxing and nostalgic to him.
Once he was done, he sensed a very familiar energy signature reaching the lookout and a smile took over his face. ”Cleo…” he said with happiness in his tone. Then, nodding to himself briefly, he reached the edge of the tower and put both his hands around his mouth in order to scream louder. ”Flying Nimbus!!” he shouted and, in no time, the small golden cloud appeared, steadfast. Galen quickly leaped onto it and spoke once again. ”Let’s go see Cleo in the lookout, buddy!” and the Nimbus quickly obliged, flying higher than ever. Usually the Nimbus couldn’t go higher than the Korin’s Tower, but Galen was empowering it with his own ki in order to make it possible and, in no time, they reached the Timeless Lookout in time to hear Cleo’s speech to the world.
Of course the world wasn’t capable of listening, but what really counted was the feeling she was pouring onto those words; they were sincere and resolute and Galen was sure she would make an amazing assistant to Master Arion. Still, Galen noticed that Cleo was not alone: a cat-like figure, striking similar to that one who appeared during Arion’s claim, was in the lookout and speaking to Cleo. Galen arched one of his brows in curiosity as he leaped off the Nimbus and onto the edge of the titled floor of the Lookout. The Nimbus, incapable of remaining so high up in the sky began to descend. The creature was named Cervez and he was asking for Kami, and Galen didn’t fail to notice he used “her”. That, however, made him think for a while and he put his index finger on his lips.
”Who’s he talking about? I never thought of Master Arion as a she… But he is not a he either… That’s so confusing. Sounds really disrespectful to call him it. Well… I guess I will just stick to he then… Sounds better anyway.” he decided, making a brief and discrete nod to himself. Once that matter was settled in his mind, he approached the duo with slow yet audible steps. ”Hello, mister Cervez. Kami is probably meditating right now. If I can be of any service, I’m Galen the Tower Keeper.” he politely introduced himself and once he did that, he quickly gazed to Cleo and winked, giving her a thumbs up in approval.

It was quiet. Arion couldn’t tell why but since he had come back on Earth-- or rather since he had taken on the role of Kami, there wasn’t all that noise around that he remembered back in his days on the lookout as an assistant. Maybe because Atsuko herself had gone missing? He didn’t remember her as the noisy one, so he doubted that but it was likely just a coincidence, yet the Namekian liked to think of things and trying to give them an explanation. Whether it’d be the stupidest of things, he believed that nothing came out of nothing but rather happened because of something else. In a few words; action and reaction, a pretty simple concept and yet it influenced every single living being every minute that passed.
On the other hand, time seemed a pretty abstract thing on the lookout; time never seemed to advance, and while it obviously did, it didn’t make much of a difference as long as they were established at such absurd height. But, he had to say, Earth was quite fascinating-- even more than Namek under many points of views; first and foremost, the night. He loved it. And such an event on Namek was rare considering there were three suns, which were definitely enough to assist the farmers with their cultivation but he’d have liked to see how nighttime would look on Namek.
The Namekian was sitting comfortably on the throne inside the building, one hand resting on his lap and the other held the battle staff whose other end was placed into the ground; he could sense a familiar ki approaching. It wasn’t that difficult for him to recognize it; he had managed to shape his senses quite a lot on Namek, as a matter of fact, he could even sense energy all the way from Earth to Namek-- it wasn’t simple at all, but it was still quite an achievement.
This one fellow’s ki was the one woman whom he had met some days ago on the lookout when he came back; his name was… Cleopatra, he believed? He didn’t quite realize why, but for some reason, she was interested in becoming his assistant-- and while he had no issue with it, on the other hand, she looked like a reliable person! But, he was also interested in her reasons to become one. Even if, honestly, it’s not like he had much of a choice after the Hakaishin himself demanded Cleopatra to be his assistant.
He didn’t exactly immediately make his way out of the lookout but waited to see what Cleopatra would have done, and he had to say, that her speech made him smile a bit, it was an entirely motivational one. However, it was still to be seen whether Cleopatra would have stood up to the challenge or not; being an assistant wasn’t easy at all and Arion could speak from experience. But he was sure willing to have the woman take on the role of assistant.
However, shortly after something else caught his attention; a ki he had never sensed before, but it didn’t feel way too malicious. However, he had to say that something about it was interesting. Soon, someone else joined the two, and this one Arion immediately recognized; it was his friend Galen who had probably either sensed or heard Cleopatra all the way from Korin’s Place, which was located below the lookout. At that point, the Namekian thought that he’d likely have to join the party too.
He stood up from his chair, still holding his staff as he slowly walked out of the lookout. As he did, he’d initially look like the shadow of a tall humanoid, before he stepped out of the building and revealed himself at the party. He cracked a faint smile as he looked at the gathering, nodding.
“Hello there, my friends.”
The Namekian greeted them, looking as polite as usual. Arion glanced both at Cleopatra and Galen, and as he did, he couldn’t help but let his smile grow a little bit wider. “It’s a pleasure for me to have you both here. I hope you’ve been well, yes?” - the green man asked before his gaze shifted to look at the stranger in a curious manner but still with a friendly smile.
“I’m not exactly her, but I’ve heard you’ve been looking for me. Well then, how may I help you?”

Even with the distance between her and the tower, Cryonia could clearly hear Cleo's voice ringing through the air. It did help that Cryonia was already flying towards the tower. It was an oddity that she had noticed when she first got to Earth, but hadn't had the time to investigate until the now. The structure seemed to stretch all the way up into the heavens if you looked at it from the ground. Such a structure wasn't beyond the technology of the humans to create. That didn't explain the various energy signatures that came and went above the tower though. The information Cleo had decided to share with the world made things clearer for her though.
So that's where the "Kami"of the Earth resides. This will be my first time seeing it in person. They have a considerable amount of gall, using that title for themselves. There's no denying the authority that they have though. I didn't realize that Cleo was involved in this though.
Cryonia picked up her speed, her hair billowing around behind her as she flew through the air towards the tower. Cryonia had actually known quite a bit about this planet before she arrived here. Although that was something she was going to mostly keep to herself. If she brought up that she had gone out of her way to research the planet and its inhabitants long before she even landed there, it would raise questions that Cryonia didn't want to answer at the present time. For now it was best if everyone thought she was still fairly ignorant of Earth and its customs. While there were still some things she didn't know, her knowledge was not as lacking as the inhabitants of this planet thought it was.
Cryonia reached the base of the tower, twist her body to the left and using her momentum to carry her upward. She shot straight up in the air, like a cork popping up from a bottle. Turning her head briefly to get a more clear look at the structure, she could tell that it had been built here a long time ago. She didn't even need to study the components of the tower to tell that much. From the shape and look of the tower, this structure just felt ancient. Which made it all the more impressive that it managed to get this tall without collapsing under its own weight.
I'm surprised humanity doesn't visit this place more often. They haven't even made a tourist attraction out of it. I suppose even the weaker humans can tell that this place is special, and that they should leave it as it is. It does emit an ancient aura that would be hard for anyone to miss.
Cryonia was approaching the top of the tower when she saw what appeared to be..... a yellow cloud? Yes a yellow cloud flew out of the structure and shot up past the top of the tower and towards what was most likely the lookout Cryonia had heard so much about. And on riding.... riding on the cloud was a... human male? Cryonia rubbed her eyes with both hands to make sure she wasn't hallucinating, not bothering to slow down while doing so. But no, she was seeing and sensing this correctly.
How does that cloud even function? Is it even a cloud? Does it repel gravitons to make the rider float above it? No wonder Duvainel has these delusions about the existence of magic. They've probably seen many examples of it ever since they've come to this planet.
Cryonia scowled, the mere idea of anything existing to validate Duvainel and her nonsensical statements didn't settle well with the Elemi. Oh, she was glad that she had something else to study. Although it was going to take a little while before she fully got over the amount of stupidity that had spewed forth from that pink haired girl. Cryonia was annoyed that she had gotten to her that badly: her mission was far too important to let her be distracted by horrible theories. She could weather a little bit of disrespect if she had to.
As she approached the lookout, the strange yellow cloud flew back down without the boy, passing by her on its descent. Cryonia was tempted to follow it back down so she could analyze it, but she couldn't let herself get distracted right now. Right now, her primary focus was going to be the lookout and the people who were on it.
Cryonia shot on past the lookout, surveying the structure from above. It was essentially just a large hovering platform with a structure at the far end of it. At least it was aesthetically pleasing to look at though: it was an inconvenient place to get to, but not an unpleasant one to stay at. She could see three people in her line of vision. The first two bring Cleopatra and the human boy who had flown up on the cloud. The third was a being she recognized as an Anubian. This was her first time seeing one in person, but she knew of their existence.
It doesn't appear to be as terrifying strong as their race has a reputation for being. Perhaps he's just suppressing his power for the time being. I don't expect any trouble to occur up here though.
She also watched as a Namekian exited the structure and went out to greet everyone. This was a sight she expected to see. Earth did have a history of being watched over by a Namekian guardian. Cryonia had no inclination as to why they felt the need to do that: this place was far from the Namekian Homeworld, and from the affairs of the galactic community in general.
Now that everyone had assembled, it was time for her to reveal her presence. Cryonia began her slow decent to the ground, cupping her hands over her mouth while leaving a large enough hole in between them. This way, Cleopatra would clearly hear her call out as she slowly descended from the sky.
"Your bold proclamations has attracted quite the interesting crowd! You've got some explaining to do Cleo! Like what exactly your words mean, and what this place is!"
Cryonia slipped her hands into her pockets as she floated gently down to the ground. The monochrome haired Elemi woman landed a decent distance away from everyone else, but was well within earshot range. Her eyes were fixed on Cleo right now, waiting for the potential Kami assistant to explain things to her. She had a fair idea on what she was talking about, although she still didn't know the why.

Being the Kami Assistant was going to be quite the adventure. Now that everyone was coming towards her... It made her feel a bit special. She would smirk, 'I guess I know those who are my friends...'. She felt first, an anubis nearby which made her look back at the direction he came from. However, the Anubis was still climbing the tower. 'Hmmm... I guess shouting will attract attention,~' softly chuckling to herself. Next, she sensed her pal Galen coming. He was traveling well fast... Possibly on his Nimbus. This was getting so exciting for her! Now, she was attracting attention! She would next look behind her. Arion would slowly step out, his presence becoming easing indeed. She would slowly bow like a butler towards him as Galen would come next to her after landing himself down. A wink coming from his eye which made her smile a bit. She would turn towards Arion for a short moment before the Anubis arrives.
So immediately he asks for the Kami... Which made her raise a brow. He looked over her shoulder to see the structure behind her which made her slightly confused however, she gave the Anubis a smile. "Ah... I remember. You were there when the Saiyans retreated to our planet. Yes, the Kami happens to be right here..." she would then direct her hands towards Arion, the green Namekian figure who was wise in appearance. She would cross her arms then hear a familiar voice behind her. As the figure slowly descended down, it was clear who it was. Indeed, a friend she knew from a bit ago!
"Cryonia! Well, well... I wasn't expecting you too show up here! I guess you heard me shout across the world huh? I might as well explain the situation," she said towards her smiling a bit. She would unfold her arms and look at her as she lands. She would approach her and smile, "You see... Ever since a little girl, my parents have taught me that I should respect everyone and love everyone equally. To help others in need... Well, today is that day where I come forth and offer my service as the Kami's Assistant. I will be aiding the weak and innocent and protect those who need my protection. I'm a warrior with an eternal soul. The universe has viewed Humanity as a weak race when in reality we are not weak! We are just as strong as any race... Saiyan, Namekian, even Elemis. I'm a human who wants to be human... Today is that day, Cryonia. The day where the weak will no longer feel helpless and hopeless. I am now offering forth my service, willing to help those in need and even teach some things to them about... Goodness, I am talking way too much... I should probably welcome you here!" she said a bit surprised to herself. She would points her finger towards Arion and Galen, "Cryonia, that's Arion, the Kami. Also, that's Galen... the Tower Keeper," she softly said as she was only introducing those two. However, she had to be friendly though! She would walk over and put a hand on Cervez's shoulder gently, "This is Cervez... He was with me when the Saiyans arrived... That was a tough situation!"
More people were coming out of the woodworks to give their blessings to the Kami Assistant it seems. The one that struck his attention was a young brown-haired man with a sword and an attire that looked like some of the agricultors and farmers he had seen in the past would love to use, even outside of their jobs. The young boy introduced himself as Galen, the Tower Keeper, which meant that his previous thought that there were descendants with the name Korin that protected the tower as false, though whoever this Korin has been had certainly made a name for themselves if until today that tower was still named after them.
At first glance, the young boy didn't look like he was a fighter at all, sans the sword strapped to his back, one could say that he carried that around for protection or just a passing fancy in learning how to properly use it. Another person might have been fooled to believe that the boy; Galen wasn't fit to be the Keeper of anything, but if one took into consideration how those that could use Ki had the nifty (and sometimes annoying) ability to mask their energy to almost zero, it could be argued that the boy was stronger than he looked in that case.
He wondered what being a "Tower Keeper" entailed, did he made sure the pillar looked good as new and shining? Did he clean that stone house in the middle of this tower? Did he offer some sort of assistance or guidance like he heard the Kami was known for as well? "Greetings, Galen. While I'd love to chat with you, the questions I have can only be answered by the Kami, though perhaps once this is over we could sit down and have that chat, eh?"
Perhaps he'd go and ask the specific semantics of this job of his later once everything was over, but first, he needed to talk to the Kami about certain personal matters that he wanted to go over and have a God to... God in training conversation of sorts with her.
It was then that he felt and saw it, a shadowy shape lurked close to the entrance of the Lookout, its form too tall to almost be from a woman, or at least he thought so. Komatsu had not given any indication that his sister had been a giant of some sorts. Then as the shadowy shape came closer, its appearance became clear to the Anubian, who couldn't help but blink multiple times in surprise.
Which, really, he shouldn't have been for all intents and purposes considering for how long he had sleep again. It's been around eight months, in that time the Kami could have stepped down and their Assistant rise to the mantle of Earth's Guardian, and only a Namekian from the Dragon Clan had the ability to make the fabled Dragonballs, and also to depower them to rock solid stones with no power or magic in them.
A small amount of embarrassment filled the Anubian as he coughed softly into his closed fist before regarding the Namekian with an apologetic grin. "My apologies, Namekian, or should I say Kami?. In any case, you see, I was led to believe that the Kami had been Atsuko, Komatsu's sister and thusly a female and also a Saiyan by my understandings. Of course, I had thought that her assistant might have been a Namekian, considering this quaint looking planet has its own set of Dragonballs and it seems that I was right by all accounts."
Standing with his back straight and hands behind his back, he began to slowly approach the Kami of Earth. "You see, there has been something I wanted to speak with the Kami since long ago, but only now made any motions to approach her, or rather you now that you're the current Guardian of Earth." He stopped at a respectable distance from the Namekian, giving him a brief glance as he tried to determine how powerful he was, but just like with Galen the Kami might be suppressing his powers as well, so he couldn't get an exact reading but at the moment the Namekian was clearly stronger than him.
"My question was—" He trailed off as a new signature approached the Lookout, and fast too. The only reason he had only now just detect it was because its reading had been too low to be considered a threat. Turning towards the edge of the Lookout, his eyes caught a blurry shape shot past it and fly up into the sky before it stopped, showing that the owner of that energy had been a young girl by the looks of it. At first glance, she looked fairly humanoid in appearance, though her monochrome looking hair, one part white and the other black; separated her from what was the norm for these humans.
Before he could wonder too much about her purpose for being here, she answered that by shouting it down from the skies above. So she was a friend of Cleopatra or Cleo as the girl had called her with an air friendliness there, showing that they've met before and are comfortable enough to use nicknames, at least in this black and white haired girl's part.
Cryona was the name of the girl, as Cleopatra imparted that knowledge to those unaware (which was probably only just him), before his question was finally answered. So she felt really that strongly about this planet? On one hand, the fact that she felt this strongly was a big glaring weakness, or well a better word to put it would be that she was very passionate about it, which anyone could use to their advantage by pressing a few buttons.
It was why sometimes the Saiyan were too easy to anger, as when they pride became bruised it seemed like a red haze covered their eyes and made them unable to be reasoned with. That was just an example of much more that he could list in his mind, but he refused to waste time by doing so. Seeing Cleopatra approaching, he rose an eyeridge at the girl, only to side-eye the hand that touched his shoulder briefly before focusing back on her.
"It was a tense situation for everyone involved, yes," Cervez drawled, while at the back of his head he couldn't help but think that was the biggest understatement of the month so far, "Though you were nervous, you keep a cool head and tried to reason with the distraught girl, instead of immediately coming to the punches like another person would have done."
The Anubian rubbed the bridge of his nose, a tired sigh leaving his lips. "It didn't help that the Heran's jokes triggered that Saiyan's Super Saiyan's state, if it hadn't been for that Cyborg Saiyan female," For that was what that woman was, some sort of Cyborg as that was the only reason he could find for not being able to feel her energy at all, "We would have probably come out of that with a few bruises, instead of unscathed as we did," That was him putting it lightly, one of them could have died or lost an arm and a leg before they could have calmed down the girl.
Thankfully no one knew what he had been planning to do with the ruined Saiyan Outpost before the Galactic Patrol and more people appeared on the scene, if these people knew then Cervez would have had a hard time trying to make them see his reasoning, as he was sure they'd have instantly called him evil and some sort of monster.
Considering what his job entailed and how some God of Destructions were viewed for those that knew of them, they wouldn't be wrong for calling him such names. Looking back at the Namekian, Cervez tried again to ask what he had been trying some minutes ago, now that he was sure no one would interrupt him in some way, or at least he hoped so.
"Regardless, Namekian. As I've been trying to tell you," Gently brushing the hand from his shoulder with a shrug of his shoulders, he took a step forward towards Arion. "I have a few questions for you. One of which is if you don't mind granting me a private audience with your person." He made sure to look at Arion and not at the people behind him. Should the Namekian have a shrewd intellect he'd realize that he meant he wanted some sort of privacy just between the two of them to speak without anyone overhearing.
He didn't really care too much if the Namekian wanted to talk here and with their audience at their backs, it would annoy him a bit but it wouldn't be the end of the world. He was in the alien's home now, so he'd do his best to go by his rules until he had to leave.
Galen also noticed a dual colored hair girl on the Lookout, though, with her current energy signature, it was quite impressive she managed to both find and climb to the Timeless Lookout, but, once again, as with many others before her, she could be suppressing her power level and that was something quite confusing; Galen had learned how to suppress and sense power levels not very long ago and, although he now excelled at sensing it, being capable of sensing energy in the far corners of the galaxy, he wasn’t quite skilled in suppressing it, nor he deemed it worthy: he didn’t care about hiding his power and he saw no real usefulness in such a skill other than fooling an opponent, and that was not the way he liked to fight. Still, right now he had been suppressing his power level, but only because he was focusing on channeling his ki through his Flying Nimbus, in order to allow the little golden cloud to ascend higher than a cloud could possibly dream of.
After he arrived, though, Arion stepped out of the temple to greet them all. Galen quickly dropped to one of his knees, bowing in a respectful manner. ”Master Arion.” he greeted the current guardian of the planet he swore to protect with his life, and then got back to his feet to stare at the cat-like creature named Cervez, who spoke to him, saying he had questions for the guardian and the human just nodded in understanding; Galen knew his place all too well and, although he held some authority regarding the Korin’s Holy Grounds and the Karinga Tribe, he knew that once people rose above the Tower, they were no longer on his jurisdiction and, thus, he was but a servant of the ones who claimed the Timeless Lookout as their home.
Still, before Cervez revealed what he wanted to say, Cleopatra spoke once again, mostly to the new girl whose name apparently was Cryonia. She seemed to be an old acquaintance of Cleo and then proceed to explain the situation, letting them all know that her goal was to step up as Arion’s assistant, just like the God of Destruction had wanted. Galen was glad they were fulfilling the role the greatest deity of their universe had entrusted them and he was really happy to be part of this moment, it made him think that his life had a meaning and that was quite impressive in the end. Galen never dreamed he would’ve accomplished so much. From a farmer boy from Goddodin, to a warrior trained by the Orin Temple, then a lone swordsman and now the Tower Keeper, serving God and becoming a protector of the innocent people of his world.
When he was introduced to the girl, he took a bow with his head. ”A pleasure to be made your acquaintance, Miss Cryonia.” the man said. Galen may look young, but he was actually already twenty five years old and a grown man in all regards. His actions were measured, polite and kind and he seemed like a gentle soul to everyone. Cervez spoke again shortly after that, talking about a situation where they previously met and that sounded quite troublesome. Galen didn’t quite understand what they were talking about, as he had no idea of what a “Heran” was, but after this small trivia, he got back in track with what he had been meaning to say, asking for an audience with Arion. Galen blinked twice, surprised he was requesting such a thing, but he didn’t dare say a word.
The moment Arion stepped outside of the temple, it was evident to him that he didn’t even feel like a Kami greeting out those who resided on the planet he watched over; no, he was going to greet his friends, which was a unique feeling. One he would never replace with anything else. Yes, it was truly the best to be aware that one could count on so many people and not in battle he meant-- but for the long path that was life. Not to mention that the Lookout could get quite lonely at times, having an Assistant and Galen as the Towerkeeper would have made it less boring than Namek. Which, while it was a beautiful world to Arion, it was maybe a little too stale for his liking. He preferred a place as dynamic as the Earth, even if unfortunately, it wasn’t usually for the best; for most times, anything that happened on the Lookout had to do with a conflict or something like that.
As soon as the Namekian approached the group, Galen immediately bowed respectfully as always. A greeting as to which Arion replied to with a bow of his head, and while he expected Cleopatra to do so, she didn’t. But that was okay. Respect was only a relative thing, after all; one had to give proof of their respect and not just display it. However, it was always appreciated.
The green man looked at the Anubian as he spoke up, and while most of what he had said wasn’t untrue, there was something he was incorrect about; the Dragon Balls. It was true, Earth used to have their set of Dragon Balls, but by what had recently happened with Jarvis, he realized that not earthlings but at that point, he didn't know if he could trust anyone with such power in their hands. He could only hope that Jarvis wasn’t aware of Namek having their set of Dragon Balls, which were less powerful but they could grant three wishes at the time. So, they could be dangerous nonetheless.
“Why, yes. I am indeed Kami, and you’re right. The previous Kami had been Atsuko Inoue, the sister of Komatsu and Nasu. However she disappeared for several reasons; that, if I must be honest with you, I am not aware of myself. However, I believe she’s likely retired to take a break. I was her Assistant, and the planet used to have Dragon Balls, but not anymore.”
Then, the animal-looking person approached Arion, apparently looking for some of the Kami’s time so that he could tell her-- or rather him now, something. But, by the appearance of a new person with a kind of unusual hairstyle considering she bestowed both the black and white color at the same time disrupted the encounter. He had seen such phenomenon among humans only once when he met Tau or at least he remembered that she had a red tuft.
As Cleopatra introduced the Namekian, he lowered his head for a brief moment. “Greetings.” - said the green man, before his gaze shifted once more at Cervez.
By the information the Anubian said there had been some recent episode on Earth; apparently, it was in regards to the Saiyan race once more. He sighed to himself, for real, most things nowadays seemed to happen because of that damn race. He didn’t exactly hate them, but he did feel somewhat of a distaste for them after all that had happened. It had all begun from Nasu before everything turned into a huge mess, but thankfully things seemed peaceful, for the moment at least.
“Hm… I’m not way too sure of what had happened back there, but it seems you all have gone through a lot. However, I’m glad no one got hurt, that’s all that matters.”
Then, Cervez suddenly asked Arion a rather unusual question; or well, more like one he hadn’t expected, for the two to have a private audience he guessed that it was an emergency of sorts. Either that or the Anubian felt like it’d have been better for the others not to know of this. However, he was completely fine with granting Cervez one.
“Sure thing, my friend. I have no issues with having a private talk with you, as long as we can have this at a later date if you don’t mind. Now, there’s something I’d like to take care of first,” - said the man before his gaze slowly shifted at Cleopatra, eyeing her curiously.
“So, I have heard that you’re willing to take the next step onto becoming Kami’s Assistant. If it’s truly so, then I guess I shall respectfully welcome you to the Lookout. However, there’s a trial I’d like you to take. Are you willing to take it?”
It didn't take too long for Cryonia to organize each person into categories of who was the most important to talk to. The one who had introduced himself as Galen seemed to be a simple fellow. Although he seemed like a nice enough individual. Cryonia simply nodded her head at him to return his greeting. In her mind, she didn't need to say anything to him.
That was more of a greeting that she gave the Anubian though. While his species was a very interesting one, she really could care less at the moment. He didn't pay her much attention and was here on official business with the Kami, not unlike her. Some of the things he said were very interesting though. Like the incident involving Saiyans and a Heran. I'm surprised that there wasn't any kind of confrontation, all things considered. Herans are even more predetermined for violence and destruction then Saiyans are, and are only matched by the Kold Demons in that regard. I'm curious as to how they managed to accomplish that, but I don't have the time to pursue mild curiosities. Although the fact that a Heran is close by is now noted.[ I'm lucky I found out about it in advance./font]
For now, Cryonia turned her immediate attention to the young woman who had made such a bold claim. She quickly picked off from where she left off earlier, promising to protect the weak, and to make them helpless no longer. Cryonia just stared at her quietly for a minute, her expression unchanging. There was so much she could say regarding her views on this matter. But she was going to keep things simple this time around.
"It's a noble goal Cleo. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. I'm sure that you can make the weak stop feeling helpless on this planet with enough hard work." Cryonia didn't go into how she thought those views were a little too idealistic to be realistic. Cleopatra wasn't going to mark the end of the strong overpowering the weak: the only way that you could change things was with your own power. And if someone's power exceeded yours, then you were at their mercy.
Cryonia walked past Cleo, heading over to greet the current Kami of the Earth. She still found it strange that the guardian of this planet was of a race not native to Earth. Still, she wasn't the one who made the rules. Maybe he was so qualified for the job that he was better suited then everyone born on Earth. Although if that was the case, it didn't exactly look good for the natives of this planets. Cryonia got within 10 feet of the Kami before giving him a short bow of respect.
"Well met Arion. I am Cryonia Arlumia. Like the Anubian here, I have some urgent matters regarding my race that I wish to discuss with you. Although I don't mind anyone here overhearing what I want to say. Still, there is no immediate danger to worry about: what I wish to discuss concerns long term goals. We'll talk when it's the most convenient for you. For now, I'll just simply observe what this trial you're going to make Cleo take."
Cryonia hoped the urgency she placed on her request for an audience and how specific she was in regarding what it was she wished to discuss. Well, she was more specific then the Anubian was anyway. Worst case scenario, she would have wait for a little while. That was fine with her: she more then capable of being patient. Cryonia turned around, watching Cleo's responses with curiosity. How she approached the trail would say a lot to everyone here, and would determine how strong her resolve was. The words she spoke were meaningless if she didn't intend to follow through on all those claims.
"Oh, so you're the new Kami, and his Assistant eh, assuming you take and pass his test?" called out a voice from atop the roof of the Lookout's palace type structure. The Eastern Kaioshin looked down at the gathered throng of people, gauging their levels and possible intentions. The Anubian he could pretty guess wanted either food or some sort of power boost from the Kami, that was how it usually went with the lesser forms of the God of Destruction.
More likely the latter given how brazenly it mentioned the Dragon Balls. The Elemi girl was also wanting an audience, but mentioned long term plans... so maybe not an immediate power boost, but something along those lines perhaps? Training maybe? He made his way down towards them, floating gently on the ethereal winds with his hands behind his back to at least make himself seem a bit more presentable. First impressions and all were important.
"Apologies for intruding, I figured I'd might as well introduce myself to Earth's new Guardian whilst I was visiting here on Earth." he said with a shrug, then a nod towards the Namekian. "Been a while since a Namekian held the position. I am Mar, the Supreme Kai of the East." he introduced himself to the group.
Her mind was going to explode! So much stuff was happening all at once! Cleopatra had to take in everything one at a time. She would close her eyes and take a deep breath afterwards, looking at many people all around her! Even the new arrival of someone mysterious. However, it was more of Arion's talk that was most important. She would focus mainly on Arion who would speak and wonder what happened back with the Saiyans. She would step up and speak the news towards the Kami himself, "Arion, sir... There's a lot to explain..." she said as she stepped up forward once more.
"I met a group of Saiyans who claimed that their homeworld... Natto I believe it was called was destroyed by a sinister force. The Saiyans claim that they're here as a last resort kind of scenario. I feel bad for them... It's actually a horrific crisis... The Saiyans are now broken up into different factions across the universe. There's no more Saiyan Empire, no more Saiyan Alliance.... They're all gone and now technically with the loss of their numbers... Their species is now on the verge becoming extinct. Well, they're not that close yet I don't think... However, it's becoming dire that we should aid the saiyans, mister Arion... I feel like with us aiding them will be highly rewarding in our hearts,"
Though it was actually an interesting thought... The Saiyans were on facing extinction in the face. They were considered endangered by this point. They've lost two worlds to the evil forces of the universe which could mean a few things... Some saiyan factions may become evil themselves. Desperate times call for desperate measures and some saiyans may be evil on the inside still. The human girl would rub her chin, watching as the crowd interacted with each other. It was a good gathering in all truth. It would give our heroes some time too bond. However, thing would quickly change when someone else new came to the scene. A rather interesting looking character in appearance, Cleopatra would raise an eyebrow to hear 'Kai'. She's heard the word Kai only a few times before. Some say they're creators of the universe or something like that. Cleopatra would approach the kai and give him a proper bow to show respect towards him. She gave him a firm smile, "Hello~! I'm Cleopatra... It's a pleasure~!"
There was a something though that gave Cleopatra her full attention now! It was Arion once more, but it was something interesting. He would mention a trial which made her jump up in excitement! "A trial you say?! Of course, Mister Arion! What can I do for you? Do you need me to go out on an epic quest? Save someone from mortal danger?! Oh please, please, pleasssse lemme get something so cool~!" shouting in pure excitement. She was still a child a bit but she was willing to do the trial he had planned for her. It would be a good sign that she was willing to do anything for her position.

I'm sorry this took so long to do. Tbh, I didn't have any ideas for what to post. I promise my next turn I'll reply the day it's my turn. No more delays.
That was interesting, to say the least, at least he could finally check that out in the pile of things that had happened to this planet's previous Kami. But since she had retired and one day might decide to return, that would mean that the title would once more pass on to her while Arion would descend back as a mere Assitant to the Guardian of Earth, though considering how down to earth and centered the Namekian acted and carried himself, he didn't seem like the type to mind going down the ladder like that in any case.
At least he was good in accepting his request for a private audience, just not now since he needed to give his attention to Cleopatra, as she'd be his new assistant but first she needed to be tested for that part of the job. But what kind of test would Arion give her, he wondered. What could she do that would cement her place as the helper of the Guardian of Earth: Would it be a show of might instead of muscles? Perhaps helping the poor souls down on Earth in this trying times?
'Perhaps he'd task her with watering his garden, and make sure all the trees are well trimmed?' Even in his own thoughts, Cervez couldn't help but be a little bit sarcastically snide.
He wasn't the only one that wanted an audience, however, as Cleo's friend Arlumia quickly made her request following in his steps, his ears twitched as he caught a peculiar word she had used in her statement. The matter of 'her race', which meant that she wasn't particularly one hundred percent an Earthling but instead many of the other multiple humanoid races that dotted the galaxy. At first glance, he couldn't really say what race she fell under, though if he had to take a guess by her name alone, it sounded like she might hail from the Elemi race.
Peculiar beings, the Elemi were. Humanoid aliens that could bend and or become infused with a single element that they were born with. He hasn't interacted with one of them as far as his memory could recall, though he did hear rumors about them from the mouths of the Earthlings in this planet, as the Elemi seemed a race that could easily interbreed with the other humanoid races, like the Saiyans or even the Brenchians, for example.
At least Cleo seemed in good spirits about the whole thing before she could become the Assistant, most people would have probably taken offense at the fact that their credentials were being questioned or if they were found wanting instead of already apt for the job. She was kind and good-hearted, so whatever test Arion might give her he was sure that she'd do her best to pass it with flying colors.
That or well, keep trying until Arion finally sees something in her that gives her the right to take the mantle of Assistant, whichever came first.
Everything seemed to go well, so well in fact that Cervez actually had to stifle a yawn, but then a new voice entered the fray, his ears twitching towards the newcomer on the Lookout, and once his eyes got a good look at them he couldn't help the frown that marred his face. 'What is the Supreme Kai of the East doing this far out of his jurisdiction? Earth falls inside the North Quadrant, and thusly it is the task of the Supreme Kai of the North to oversee it.'
He tilted his head to the side slightly, raising an eyeridge at the Supreme Kai as he explained his reason for visiting the Lookout. So the God of Creation was merely sight-seeing? How quaint. Showing politeness, he nodded in acknowledgment towards the Supreme Kai of the East. "Greetings, Supreme Kai, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
When Arion mentioned the trial, Galen couldn’t help but remember his own trial when he was aiming to become the Tower Keeper of Korin, and that made him smile with nostalgia. He was confident Cleo would show herself worthy of that challenge and he stared at the girl with a supportive look on his face. He clenched his right fist in excitement , bringing it up to near his head. ”You can do this, Cleo! I’m sure of it!” he simply said. This was her moment and he wouldn’t spoil it by sharing his own experience with trials; he would save it for later. But before the trial was about to start, Cleo spoke to Arion, informing him about the saiyans from Planet Natto.
It was quite sad that their home was destroyed and, in truth, Galen had no problem in giving them shelter. When she finished her speech, he nodded and stared at Arion. ”I agree, Master Arion. We should lend our aid to those in need.” he said, but he was sure Arion wouldn’t turn his back on those in need of assistance. Nobody should be held responsible for the crimes of their kin or predecessors; everyone was their own person and the only crimes one should atone for are their own, that was what Galen believed, and everyone who knew him was well aware of that.
However, before they could proceed with the trial, someone suddenly appeared on the lookout, and that was a Supreme Kai. Galen had an experience with them before, enough to know that they far outranked even the Kami. Thus, he immediately kneeled and lowered his head, in sign of respect. ”Supreme Kai! What an honor!” he humbly said. This claim of Cleo was becoming quite crowded, he thought, but hopefully there wouldn’t be any problem.
The Namekian listened intently to the earthling’s words as she explained the situation to him it was tragic indeed. He had expected that the Saiyans had caused some more trouble, but it seemed that they had come to Earth out of necessity for them to survive and not to die because of extinction entirely. He couldn’t tell what sort of force could have ever destroyed their planets, but it was likely something powerful enough to destroy even the Earth too.
The Namekian tapped his staff on the ground beneath him, closing his eyes for a brief moment as he pondered upon the information he had gathered from Cleopatra. He couldn’t help but nod after as he looked at her. “Helping others isn’t only a matter of feeling good about yourself or dropping a weight off your shoulders, Cleo. I do understand the satisfaction and 'reward' to youe heart that comes with it, but remember that at times lending your aid comes with sacrifice, too. So, you must be prepared for when such decisions come.” - he had said before he cleared his throat, cracking a faint smile.
“I must say, we’ve had quite the trouble with Saiyans with… events we’re more than aware. But, it was usually under certain circumstances that not all of them are to be blamed. Not to mention, that we kicked them off the planet once already. I guess this might be a decent way to apologize for what my predecessor did a long time ago. I’m okay with letting them live here for the time being. I guess they’ll likely find themselves another planet sooner or later. Unfortunately, their only hope for them to bring back their planet would be the Dragon Balls at this point, but I’m sure we all know better than enabling them again.”
The moment the green man introduced this the idea of the trial, the woman had seemed to brighten up in excitement as she thought of this trial as something that’d have likely fit if this were one of those mangas. However, the trial he had for her was much simpler-- and deadly at the same time. “The test you must complete will give me further proof of your determination, and of your spirit.” - he added before he lifted up a hand and-- seemingly concentrated, Arion closed his eyes for a brief moment.
In that short amount of time, an urn and a glass suddenly lifted up from inside the building and floated its way to the Namekian’s hand. He grabbed the small container, looking at it up and down before he nodded and shifted his gaze at Cleopatra once more.
“Your trial will be to drink this water, but trust me when I say that this is no common water. It is known as the Holy Water. If your spirit is pure, you’ll be able to drink it without much of an issue-- otherwise, you’ll lose your life. Some even manage to unlock part of their innate potential by drinking it, but it isn’t always the case.” - he said before he proceeded to pour some of the water inside the urn into the glass and offered it to Cleopatra.
“If you’re willing to take on this trial, go on and drink it.”
Shortly after, though, someone else made their appearance, and as soon as he introduced himself, Arion offered a bow of his head. “Kaioshin-sama, it's a pleasure to meet you”
