"Master?" Turning his head slightly to look back at Samael, the Anubian arched an eyeridge in question. "W-well it's just... you've been going over that scroll for the better part of the day, is something the matter?" Cervez didn't respond besides humming under his breath before looking back at the contents of the scroll spilled over the table in front of him. Accepting the silent invitation to come inside the room, the Demon Wolf stooped slightly so he wouldn't bang his head over the doorframe and walked with heavy steps until he stood beside his Master.
Reclining back in his seat with a loud sigh, Cervez mutedly motioned to the open scroll for Samael to peruse at his leisure, which the Demon Wolf did so gladly with the vibrating interest you would normally find on a puppy and not a full grown demonic wolf like Samael was. Gently, as he knew that these scrolls held centuries of information inside of them, he looked at the manuscripts' fine print from what looked like a good starting point to read on, his eyes getting wider and wider as he kept reading until he reached the end. Once he did so, he looked at his Master with a muted look of shock, but Cervez paid it no heed, not that he could see it -though he could feel it- as his sight was looking straight up at the ceiling of the room, a faraway look in his purple eyes.
Blinking twice at the silent form of his Master, Samael shook his head before going back to the scroll, reading aloud as he eyes scanned the words with a bit of incredulity. "The Kikōhō (Tri-Beam); is a life-risking attack that only the Master of the Crane School can teach to their disciplines once they had shown that they are ultimately ready to embrace death head on and come out from the other side. This life-risking technique is made by first gathering energy while forming a vaguely diamond-shape "window" with the hands by keeping the fingertips on each hand touching each other." Samael took a breath there, almost languidly reaching for the tea set that was laying on a separate table, probably to not have it spill over and stain the scrolls.
Once his shaking hands poured himself a cup of tea, he quickly downed that and three more 'shots' before he felt ready to continue, he could feel his nerves being frayed at the implications began to set it. "Every user of this technique, myself included, had felt the eerie sensation of seeing the object being focused on becoming zoomed in on and visualized inside that diamond. Once the user ready, the energy will be released as a large yellow beam from the hands. It's also possible to shoot it one handed, but this is far more risky as the energy could destabilize and explode upon itself, killing the user instantly. In addition to being able to kill the target, the Tri-Beam can also easily kill the user as it drains their life energy with every blast."
Once he was done reading through it, Samael slammed down the scroll on the table, the wood creaking dangerously against such rough treatment, as he rounded over on his Master. "I forbid it."
Finally breaking his vow of silence, Cervez chuckled incredulously at Samael's command. "You forbid me, now ain't that a fucking laugh." Slowly, Cervez got up and began to walk out of the building, leaving behind a giant gaping Demon Wolf staring at his back in astonishment. Shaking his head furiously, Samael was quick to follow his Master's trail until he was looming behind him. "Yes, I forbid it! Master, you can't just throw your life away like that without thinking of the consequences! I know that you haven't tried this technique yet otherwise I'd felt it from miles away! This could kill you if you're not careful!"
Through it all, Cervez didn't even bat an eye at his vassal's concern, while he was touched that Samael cared for his well being, it wasn't enough to deter him for what he was about to do. "That's none of your concern." Perhaps if he was short and to the point then Samael would get the hint to go away already.
Samael most certainly didn't "go away" just because his Master was feeling broody, he had dealt with worse in their short stay together, hell he was still feeling sore from that time he called his Master a bitch and paid the consequences for it. "None of my concern? NONE OF MY CONCERN!? Then why the hell am I still here then?! I'm your vassal, your loyal subject, but most of all your friend!" The Demon Wolf grabbed his Master's shoulder in two giant paws and forcefully twisted him around until they were looking at each other, one with a glare firmly set on his face and the other with a snarling visage. "It's my job to care, dammit!"
Silence passed between them after that admission, nothing to break it but the random staccato beat of Samael's panting breath filling the void. Slowly, a small smile breached Cervez's face as he looked down, his shoulder vibrating with a deep chuckle that spilled from deep within his throat. "What's so funny!?"
"Nothing, it's just, I'm glad that I choose you as my vassal, is all..." Slowly, the dead grip that Samael had on Cervez's shoulder loosened until his hands were merely resting upon them. Slowly, Cervez lifted his hands until they rested upon Samael's muscled forearms and with a quick yank he drew the floor from under Samael's feet.
Lightning fast, his leg kicked out, sweeping Samael's legs and making him lose his footing, just as fast his body twisted around and a powerful kick slammed against the Demon Wolf's chest, sending him flying into the air. Swiftly, Cervez shot upward to the skies at speed, soon enough flying past Samael and once he was a few feet away he stopped, twisted around with his leg around in mid-spin, and drove the heel of his boot down on Samael's midsection for a powerful axe kick, sending him plummeting to the ground with a thunderous crash.
Once the dust cloud cleared out, it showed Samael was embedded on the ground with a nice impression of his body around it. "Argh... Master... that was a cheap shot! You could have just said no, you know!" He would have let his Master go if he was this adamant about regaining his strength back, really he would have done so! No need to try and break his spleen or anything. "For fuck's sake, this is so gonna hurt tomorrow. I'm sending you the hospital bill, you asshole!"
"You'll be fine, just walk it off!" He waved down cheerfully, earning more expletives that would have made a priest blush in outrage. "Well then, let's begin this shall we." Taking a deep breath, Cervez slowly began to gather energy in his hands, which he slowly brought together until the fingertips were touching and the space left at the center looked vaguely diamond in shape. Once that was ready he looked around curiously until he spotted a nice mountain in the distance, "Target acquired." He said as he pointed at the mountain, wincing as bio-electricity arched from his shoulders and down to his hands, he could already feel more than just his Ki being sapped from his reserves, it felt like a small portion of his very own soul; his life-force was being put into this attack as well.
"Dammit... I didn't think the strain would be this much..." A bead of sweat trailed down the side of his face as he worked through the slight sense of pain he was feeling. "This attack... it's a hit or miss, if I'm not one hundred percent sure that it will hit, I would have just thrown my life away for nothing..." Even with that grim reminder, a smirk twitched at the corner of his lips. "I guess that's the price one needs to pay for wanting ultimate power. With great powers come great responsibility and all that rot."
He breathed out, and in, and out, feeling the energy had reached a crescendo even though his life-force was still being sapped, he had a feeling that it would continue to do so until there was nothing left to give, which he was sure would end with his death once he fired. Looking ahead, the Anubian steeled his nerves for the exhaustion that would hit him in a few seconds, took a deep breath and shouted. "Tri-Beam, hah!" Immediately, a powerful yellow beam of energy shot from his hands, the energy beam flying towards the mountain and hit it with a blinding light of power.
Not even a second before he shot that technique, Cervez felt almost all his energy leaving his body, it even took a lot out of him by staying in the air like he was doing. But he needed to see the fruit of his labors, and once the dust clouds parted in the distance, his eyes widened at what he saw.
Nothing, there was absolutely nothing there, it was like the mountain had been erased out of existence entirely. Oh the blast zone was fairly noticeable from up high, and its radius of destruction was also quite large, but he completed his objective, the mountain was no more and with that Cervez closed his eyes and let himself fall.
"Master!" Before he could hit the ground, Samael's arms caught him. "Master, talk to me!" He gently shook the limp form of his Master, not getting a response. "Cervez, come on say somethinmmhpf!?" Samael's mouth met Cervez's hand, the jackal's appendage keeping that mouth closed since it was starting to get on his nerves. "I am trying to sleep here, you ingrate! If you don't realize, I used a fuckton of energy in that attack, never mind the incredibly lucky chance that I just got by not blowing myself up just now. So what I want right now is my bed and sleep for a thousand years," Side-eyes his friend, the Anubian rose a brow. "Can you do the simple task of carrying me to my quarters or are you too tired to move?"
"Ungrateful bastard, I should let you fall for that cheap shot you pulled at me." But he didn't do that, instead, he dutifully carried the Anubian back inside the building, heading for the man's sleeping quarters so that his Master could rest in peace.
