The day was pretty quiet-- way too quiet! He didn’t know why-- Corn had indeed missed the life on Earth, but he wasn’t used to it that much since he had joined the Alliance back then-- it was a more dynamic life living among other Saiyans. Most of them were quite something to spar-- not everyone, there were still people that wouldn’t usually last that much, but it wasn’t like Cornatto used to be that strong either. Not to mention that he was still trying to get even stronger, of course, it hadn’t been that easy resuming his old training regimen after the period of ‘peace’ so to say. He had been traveling around back and forth with his daughter-- maybe as a way to get his mind off the events of the war, even if he was a little bit curious about the space himself and learn a few things about the places he could visit.
Either way, no matter on what planet-- or even if they were still in outer space on the ship, he still tried to sharpen up Kabocha’s combat abilities as much as he could. And it worked out just fine! She had turned out stronger than he used to be at her age. Honestly, she had quite the talent! He had to be careful. Otherwise, she’d have quickly surpassed him, no doubt about that. He wouldn’t have minded if Kabocha were to get stronger, but he didn’t certainly want to get left behind! He wanted to get stronger than he currently was, too!
Unfortunately, there was still a little bit of a power difference between the two; not to mention that she couldn’t turn into a Super Saiyan unlike her dad, who had now been able to for about twenty years or something like that. He knew that it wasn’t relatively easy and that it was more of a situational thing than anything but he ought to make his daughter stronger, and he was going to make her hair go all spiky and glowing!
He didn’t know how he was going to do it, though, she hadn’t been through much that could have ever possibly angered her to the point of turning into a Super Saiyan. The Earthling Saiyan still remembered that when he had first transformed into one, he felt an urge-- one that he'd need a higher power because of the circumstances forced by a fierce fight against a General of the Saiyan Empire. An immense power that was awakened by rage, that was a Super Saiyan. The General wasn’t a Super Saiyan but possessed a much higher battle power than Cornatto had at the time. However, the power of the fabled transformation managed to make him strong enough for him to fight the foe and defeat him.
But, what could Kabocha rely on to unlock such power? The Earthling Saiyan had almost no idea as to what he could have come up with; Corn thought that he should have maybe just let things happen, but the man guessed that if he were to push Kabocha to her limits hard enough, she might have been able to without much of an issue. That was what they were doing.
Punches flew at each other; there was an exchange of hits from both parts as the two had been spending the afternoon sparring. Cornatto’s punches landed against Kabocha’s own as the two seemed to be on par, but it was kind of evident that the man had the upper hand if one were to be attentive enough. Kabocha looked as if she was getting tired, while Cornatto hardly appeared to be using much of his stamina to keep up with Kabocha. It was nonetheless a good training. However, he wondered if he had to do more so that he could push Kabocha to the limit.
Cornatto managed to let a fist pass through her defense and hit her in the gut as the impact was strong enough to push her slightly away; the woman looked exhausted, as she took a minute to breathe so that she could catch her breath for that brief moment of pause. On the other hand, Cornatto didn’t look way too worked up, but he looked at Kabocha with a smile. He knew that at times, Cornatto's power was too strong for his daughter to handle and it was only natural if one considered their gap, she was strong but the Earthling Saiyan was even stronger than that!
“Not bad, Kabocha! But we’ll have to do more than this if we want you to turn into a Super Saiyan.” - he said, earning a perplexed gaze from Kabocha who just looked at him with doubt in her eyes.
Could she do it? It was right that she didn’t sound like the most confident person in the world when it came to believing in herself, but she didn’t, of course, consider herself as a weakling but perhaps maybe not as capable as her father was; it was possible, wasn’t it? She had no idea as to how strong her mother used to be, nor who her mother was at all but just because she was the child of a Super Saiyan, it didn’t mean that she had to be one, right?
It wasn’t like she didn’t want to be one, but maybe she couldn’t turn into one? Else, why would it take so long for her to transform? Cornatto wasn’t precisely that sure about how stuff like that worked, but he could more or less figure out that she needed help to reach the transformation. Either that or else she’d just have to wait for it to happen by itself, which by all means, it was supposed to be the most natural of ways to ascend; rage, that was one of the most influential emotions that a Saiyan could experience and bring them to unleash their real power.
Cornatto himself had unlocked the form out of pure rage in a fight, but that was a long time ago, and he had long since learned to master it without too much of an issue thanks to the help of his old friend Natto. He wondered how things would be like if he were still here, perhaps Cornatto would be stronger, too! If Natto were alive, Corn would likely feel a lot more hyped up in regards to training than he already did. Having a stronger opponent always excited him and Natto was quite the powerful Saiyan back in his days. Not to mention the fact that it would have been a great help for Cornatto to know more about forms such as the Super Saiyan Two or Three but he was pretty sure he could figure it out easily in one way or the other without too much trouble.
“Uhm. Maybe this… this training is useless?”
Cornatto tilted his head slightly at Kabocha’s response, straightening his posture as he placed both hands on his hips. He didn’t expect that statement from his daughter at the moment; he knew that she didn’t look like she even tried at times, perhaps because of her shyness but she did have a raging fire of determination within her heart, but he couldn’t quite understand what was wrong with her.
“Eh? What do you mean?”
Kabocha sighed, fixating her gaze away so that she could avoid eye contact with her father and lifted up a hand so that she could rub the back of her neck in embarrassment. It was somewhat difficult for her to say that; she didn’t want to disappoint her father, nor did she want to get scolded-- something that wouldn’t have happened, either way, one only had to look at how soft Corn was to realize that it’d be difficult for him to scold someone. He could certainly do so, but he wasn’t the kind of person to call someone out just because of something like this, but instead, he would indeed encourage them to do better! That was how he is, to believe in people, was how you’d watch them become somebody onto their path whether it was going to be easy or not was an entirely different matter, though.
“I don’t know if I can turn into a Super Saiyan…” - she said, almost like a whisper hoping that he wouldn’t hear right but he did, and he just stared at her for a few moments before he let out a chuckle. He could understand that his daughter was probably frustrated because of the few results she had managed to gather that far but it was no reason to give up, he was pretty sure that she could have managed to transform into a Super Saiyan quickly-- she was his daughter, after all.
“Sure you can! It’s not like you have to be anything out of the ordinary to do that-- I know it might look easy to transform, but it’s difficult to achieve it!” - the man replied before flaring his ghostly-white aura, that after a few moments brimmed with a golden color as the man transformed into a Super Saiyan. He had still managed to retain his mastery over the Super Saiyan transformation regardless of how long it had been since he had made serious use of the form.

Kabocha watched in awe, and curiosity at the same time. How could he transform so quickly while she couldn’t even turn into one in the first place? As much as she was having doubts whether she could ascend or not, it was getting frustrating. A lot. It wasn’t like she didn’t want to become one of the fabled warriors of the Saiyan legends but she had failed already plenty of times, and it didn’t seem like it was going to get anywhere.
“I had to go through a hard time to transform into a Super Saiyan! The secret of the transformation is anger-- you need to let it all out.” - he added.
“Uhm, but… I can’t just get angry out of nowhere.”
Cornatto nodded, that was their major issue on the matter; Corn had no idea as to how he could help her achieve the form like the way he did when he was younger. He thought that giving her a tough time could have been enough, but she wasn’t the proudful type of person-- she wouldn’t certainly get angry because of a person being stronger than her.
“Hm, yeah! Good point… I’ll think of something, though.” - he said before reverting to his base form, flashing a faint smile to the girl.
[Power Level: 268.353]
“Why don’t we take a little break? We’ve been training for quite a while today. I dunno, relax a bit, and then we’ll see what we can come up with, okay? Five minutes or so will be good for both of us!”
“Okay!” - she replied and nodded in agreement before she watched the male make his way inside the wooden building. They were out there on the Kame Island, where Corn now lived and had been sparring outside-- he wished that their training would have given more results, though.
Either way, he believed that she could do it! He guessed that it’d just need some more time for her to turn into a Super Saiyan. The man decided just to sit down a little bit himself, as he sat down on the sofa with both legs crossed as he just leaned against the couch and with both his hands placed behind his head, held it from making contact.
However, he didn’t expect the chance that there could be somebody out there capable of sensing the energy of others-- and thus, taking note of the power the Super Saiyan had unleashed earlier.

PL MULTIPLIERS: Inate Power (x25P)
It has been a few days since the Anubian had visited the Kami by his request on the Lookout, it was one Hybrid by the name of Jie Shan, the Guardian of Earth that greeted him with cordiality and friendliness, even though he had learned what Cervez was and what was his purpose in life, the Kami still seemed to have some trust in him, enough to at least inform him about the Room of Spirit and Time, a special door that would lead him and anyone that was brought with him into another dimension; where one year passed inside, while only a day passed outside.
He had been immediately intrigued by such a thing, a place where he could train for a year's worth in merely a day? Sign him up. The Anubian really wanted to recover his lost strength, it was a slow process that was taking some time but slowly he was regaining his strength, and with it came more power at his disposal to unleash at any moment notice. But it seemed that sometimes he was missing that spark of destruction, that aura of chaos that he had oh so long ago shrouding his body. He was thinking of ways to enhance what he already had, to bring his species's attributes to its utmost potential, but it would take time and a lot of meditation before he felt safe in the knowledge to tinker with it.
Training his body and mind with the teachings of the Crane Style he found in the scrolls around the temple was an exciting process. He had been static to learn its secrets and even more fascinated to combine it with his power to destroy. The Kikoho was truly a force to be reckoned with, but when it combined itself with his destructive properties, it truly began to shine as a technique that could turn everything to ashes around him.
Too bad that it could kill him if he wasn't careful with it -- which he always was; he didn't need Samael to constantly hover around him and nag his ear off before he fell unconscious after using too much energy in one Kikoho beam like some months ago.
The fact that it happened only once didn't seem to deter the russet demonic wolf one bit in the slightest; judging by the fact that whenever he wanted to test something new with the Kikoho, to see how long he could hold it, charge it or use it consecutively before he had to call it quits, the Wolf was hanging around at the corner of his eyes, doing something as mundane as cleaning the yard, or painting the walls, or sometimes even dropping all sort of pretence of subtlety and stood behind him watching him use the deadly technique, ready to step in if it turned out he was about to make a grave mistake.
It was annoying, that was true. But he was also touched that his vassal cared enough for his well-being to hang around in the case he needed help. So far, thanks to Samael, he had learned that he could use the Kikoho around three times in quick succession, or charge it for around three minutes before he had to stop for a whole day to rest and recover his energy, as the pull and aching that stung his body became too much to ignore; the Anubian realizing that it was his body giving him the warning to stop before he died.
It always would irritate him that he wouldn't be able to use the full potential of the Kikoho without putting his life at risk, but it was the price to pay for such a powerful technique like it, so he couldn't complain too much about it.
"My Lord, your tea." Samael entered his Master's study, dutifully lowering a small tea set, filling a cup with the fragrant liquid, the smell wafting from the cup scenting the room with a sweet amora of matcha leaves. "You've been hiding inside this room lately, everything okay, Cervez?" Samael asked, using his Master's name instead of a title to emphasize how worried he was about Cervez.
"Everything's fine, Samael," Cervez said, calmly taking his cup of tea and taking a sip from it, the divine liquid soothing his parched throat. "I've just been... thinking, is all." He set the cup down once he was done with it, but Samael refrained from refilling the cup just yet.
"About the Chamber of Secrets?" Samael said with a straight face, though his lips twitched as his Master send him a look. "You've been pretty pensive ever since you returned from that meeting with the so-called Kami of Earth," Samael went on, though finally, he began to refill Cervez's tea as a sort of peace offering from his teasing early. "You didn't say much after you came back, besides not to disturb you as you retreated to your quarters..." The worrisome part was that Cervez didn't even acknowledge the loud music that was blasting through the temple when he came back, not even a teasing comment about Samael's dancing skills when he entered the living room.
Cervez accepted the offering, as was his due, taking a sip from it before replying. "My meeting with the Kami was... eventful. We talked about our roles in this life: him as a Guardian, and I as a Destroyer, among other things that I won't bore you with. But one thing stuck in my mind, even though I made it clear that someday, I might have to destroy this planet so something new can be reborn from the ashes... he seemed to trust me enough to show me a very special room-- the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."
Samael's nose wrinkled at the name, what a mouthful. "That's the one where you can train for one year while only a day passes outside, right?" Samael brought out a small tray filled with rice cake balls, hiding a smirk as he watched his Master's eyes light up at the confectionary. "Mochi, my Lord?" The russet-furred lupine offered the tray and a chopstick, which Cervez gratefully accepted as he stabbed one.
"Please, thank you, but yes. It's a place where I could potentially regain most of my strength in no time at all, provided I don't slack off while I'm inside it of course." Cervez munched on one of the rice cakes, growling in satisfaction at the taste that invaded his taste buds. "Even then, while it might not help me regain much of my power, it will be useful for other things..."
"Like?" Samael prompted, taking a piece of rice cake for himself as he filled his own cup of tea. He knew that his Master wanted nothing more than regaining his previous strength he had from days of old, but if it helped Cervez in some other ways than getting stronger then he was interested to know what his Master had planned.
"Meditation, and since I'll be there for one year without anything distracted me, perhaps I'll finally be able to finish that project I've started." Samael's ears twitched in interest, giving his Master his whole attention even as he flung a piece of rice cake inside his open muzzle, though he mercifully refrained from chewing loudly.
"Oh? Have you made any progress yet?" Samael spoke with his mouth still half full, words a bit jumbled but still coherent enough for anyone to get the gist of it. Cervez's little pet project had been how to enhance his destructive properties, how to bring his power to the forefront at a moment's notice and make his already powerful psyche even stronger. So far, his Master hadn't had much luck besides a few mishaps here and there, but it was progress!
In reply, Cervez lifted his free hand and focused. Faintly, a dark violet colored aura surrounded his hand, and as it did so his power spiked briefly before it snuffed out with a sound akin to dumping water over a bonfire. "It's coming along, but it's hard. If I manage to perfect this, I should be able to passively keep it on almost indefinitely, nevermind the other myriad of uses I could potentially have for it." Like recreate the power to destroy with a mere touch or will of his soul, though it wouldn't be the same as the real deal, it still would be a stepping stone for him in recovering his lost powers.
The Demonic Wolfman hummed under his breath, taking a sip from his tea and resting the cup back on the table once it was empty. "You really think you'll be able to master it in one year?" While Samael didn't doubt his Master was a hell of a guy with enough determination to butt heads with a prideful Saiyan, something like this sounded like it would take more than a year to properly grasp and master.
"Oh, I don't think so," There was a smirk, confident and excited arching across Cervez's muzzle. "I know so." Though one thing perturbed him, the lack of socialization while inside that chamber could drive him mad if he didn't have anyone to interact for a whole year. Most beings in the universe were social, no matter how much they tried to deny it, so a stay in a place with nothing but me, myself and I would certainly drive a told upon his mental faculties.
Jie Shan said he could bring another person with him inside the chamber, the matter was that he couldn't really think of someone that would dare to enter with him, or if they'd even gain the approval of Jie Shan in the first place. Komatsu? Jie Shan and Komatsu were still treading on thin ice after their last encounter. Chris? While he and Jie Shan didn't seem to have bad blood between them, Cervez would have definitely wanted someone else rather than the young Saiyan-looking boy to keep him company inside the chamber, considering that their last meeting had been a bit violent after the boy had attacked Sinthe simply because he was following his own natural instincts.
Flare seemed to still be recovering from her injuries that she sustained from someone, somewhere-- Cervez didn't ask since it wasn't his duty to know the life story of a complete stranger.
Sinthe? He was probably hanging around somewhere doing his own thing, he'd probably not deny him but that meant looking around for him first. Galen was the Towerkeeper and probably didn't have the time to humor him on that front. All that was left was Jie Shan, but he didn't think the Guardian of Earth was ready yet to be in the same confined space with him for an entire year...
A frown pulled at his features, brows furrowing, was there anyone else he could ask to come with him to the Chamber? Just then, he felt it, a familiar presence poking at the back of his mind, demanding his attention. Cervez's eyes flew wide open as he recognized that energy signature, now that he couldn't forget it actually. How could he, when it was the same one that defeated him oh so many years ago back on planet Natto?
"Cornatto..." Cervez muttered under his breath, the mention of that name bringing back memories. Back then he had been weaker than he was before, and yet the Saiyan didn't hold anything back when he transformed into the Golden Warrior of Legend; into the Legendary Super Saiyan and gave him the battle of his life. Excitement coursed through his veins, rekindling his want for battle, his long tail almost wagging too hard against the chair he was sitting, making him look like Cervez was vibrating in place.
"Hmm?" Samael looked at his Master with an eyebrow raised. "Cornatto? What's that? Sounds like some kind of tree." He watched as Cervez silently finished drinking his tea and a few more rice cake balls before standing up, moving towards the opened window of the room. Samael was fairly certain his Master still had enough space in his stomach to eat three more meals and dessert before he was satisfied, so why was he standing up like he was done eating all of the sudden?
"Cornatto was a Saiyan I met long ago back on planet Natto." Cervez elaborated, hands behind his back and posture straight and firm. "He gave me a challenge, surpassing my expectations, and ultimately defeated me in combat." The sound of wood clinking against finely crafted porcelain echoed inside the room as Samael dropped his chopstick slightly in surprise.
"W-wow, they defeated you?" Samael saw his Master nod his head silently, not looking away from the clear skies on the horizon. "So, like, is he here somewhere, is that what you're saying?" It would explain Cervez's abrupt change in demeanor, as there weren't many things that could shake his Master's attention when he was eating, as far as he could tell this was a new change he hadn't seen before.
"Indeed," Cervez drawled, blissfully unaware of his vassal's thoughts. "Perhaps I should drop in unannounced, see what he's been up to..." An eerie smile twitched at the corner of his lips as he gave a low chuckle. "And settle the score once and for all." Though he'd admit, catching up wouldn't be too bad to do first before he demanded a rematch against the Saiyan Warrior.
He couldn't help but become curious, though. For how long had Cornatto been on Earth before he finally sensed his presence, and for that matter, how come he only sensed the Saiyan's energy just now if that was the case? Could it be that Cornatto had been laying in hiding, suppressing his energy and living a quiet life? It was a possibility he couldn't quite discard just yet, but it still left holes in its foundations.
For one, why would Cornatto show himself, of all times? He could have just remained in hiding with no one the wiser, but perhaps something forced him to use his full power? Questions upon questions, and yet no answers in sight. 'Well, better get starting before I give myself a headache with all these speculations.'
"Let's go, Samael, we're burning precious daylight." Without much preamble, Cervez began to float up and out the room from the opened window, his vassal loyally following him without a word of complaint, but not before he crammed about four rice cakes and almost scalding his tongue by gulping down the still mildly hot tea in the process.
Following his senses, Cervez managed to lock onto Cornatto's energy, even though now it seemed to have deflated quite considerable, it was enough for him to pinpoint a location. The wind screeching against their ears and ruffled their furs as they traveled at speed, leaving the Western Lands behind and quickly approaching the sea that leads to the Southern Isles.
After a while, Cervez slowed down his flight speed, before stopping all together once he finally reached his destination. Looking down, he spotted a small wooden building smack dab in the middle of quite a small island. It looked cozy and obviously well taken care of, and inside of the structure, he could feel that familiar energy, alongside a second energy somewhere inside.
A brow rose, his curiosity piqued. "A companion, perhaps?" He voiced aloud before he began to descend towards the small island with Samael not far behind. He expected Cornatto and his companion to make an appearance soon enough, considering he wasn't making any sort of effort to hide his vast power level, they'd be quite curious and perhaps apprehensive of the great energy that was now just outside their home.
Standing tall, hands behind his back, the Anubian waited with a smirk as Samael stood behind and to the right of him, crossing his muscled arms over his chest as he, too, waited for whatever his Master seemed to be patient to dawdle around for.
TAGS: @cornatto OOC NOTES: And the legends, foretold, of the one...
Both Saiyans made their way into the small, cozy house. It was not the most modern-looking of buildings, you could probably find the best of the architecture out there in any other city you’d bother looking out-- which were beautiful places, but Cornatto considered most cities to be a little bit too plain looking! Most of them were completely white, almost pristine looking yes, but probably not exciting enough for him to hang out around there.
One thing he needed cities for were shops though; there were some pretty good products out there and not generally, but apparently when it came food. There were some incredible and refined specialties yes, but also raw but also just as tasty meals that would immediately catch the Saiyan’s interest.
Then again, he guessed that was all he could get from a city, while he also knew there were gyms, they were pretty much trash compared to the training he had undergone in his life. But he guessed Earthlings were happy with little to nothing, after all, gyms did pretty much nothing but help remove the extra fat in your body-- it didn’t help one to grow stronger. Maybe physically? He didn’t even know.
On the other hand, though, his arrival on Earth had indeed helped him to regain the strength and power he had lost during those ‘times of peace’, relatively speaking. Although he knew that it was entirely his fault, in the end, his body was made for combat; it was shaped and formed by his long, fierce history of fights that took place during his years and even now, he didn’t stop. He didn’t fight as much as he used to do back in the days, probably because there wasn’t an urgent need every single day; when he used to be a Major, he had some duties and other things, but it was more or less peaceful around the Alliance.
That was something he much appreciated about the Alliance, but it looked like it was no longer what it used to be or at least not in Cornatto’s opinion. He felt sorry for Natto and Tomoroko, but he wasn’t going to assist the Alliance officially any longer, but he’d sure be glad to lend a hand when they needed one.
“Those kids grew up a lot, too. I wonder if Nasu still looks like his father, haha! They used to look just alike, too bad they have always been different,” - he paused, a small chuckle escaped his lips as he did so and it didn’t go unnoticed by the female Saiyan who immediately questioned it.
“Something on your mind, dad?”
Kabocha had always been a little bit curious, as a child she’d usually ask about her mother and the faction that Cornatto was part of, the latter one didn’t exactly give the full story of everything. Some of the pieces weren't anything too nice or important to hear about, but Corn would usually tell her as much as she wanted to hear.
The Earthling Saiyan quirked an eyebrow instinctively and eyed his daughter. He was a little bit amused that she had taken note so highly of a chuckle, but he guessed it was all right for her to ask, it wasn’t like he was thinking about anything too complicated. “No, nothing much. I was just thinking about the Alliance.”
Kabocha sat down on the floor, next to a wooden table that aimed for the spectators to have a direct and full view of the multimedia device settled against the wall as she tilted her head again. “The Saiyan Alliance? Ah, that’s right, didn’t you meet them again?” - she asked. The female didn’t exactly have much of an opinion about the Alliance; she had just heard about it whenever she asked about them, mostly because it meant nothing to her, but mainly she knew that it had been important to Cornatto for a time of his life.
The man nodded his head and joined Kabocha, sitting next to the other side of the table, with his elbow set on the table, casually resting his arm over the edge of the wooden surface. “Yeah. I met one of Natto’s kids and a soldier. It doesn’t look like they’re in a good situation right now if anything, the whole thing felt pretty much troublesome. They’ve been having problems up their sleeve for a while now,” - the man said as he stared at the blank screen of the television, without saying a further word until Kabocha spoke again.
“Um, so, are you going to join them again?”
Cornatto furrowed his brow and tapped his chin for a brief moment. It was quite a question, but although he wouldn’t have minded for old times’ sake, he wasn’t certainly going to do that, not at the moment and probably not in the future. He felt like his place was on Earth and nowhere else at the moment, of course, that was because of the planet itself being his homeworld; that is where he belonged, not among the Saiyans at the moment.
It wasn’t like he didn’t care for his race any longer or that he didn’t consider himself a Saiyan, but again, Earth was his top priority on the list, and he wasn’t certainly going to turn that one down. He had always been an Earthling, and he will always be, it wasn’t like that he had suddenly changed; he still wore earthling clothes after so many years because he was indeed one and it was a fact that it would never change in his life.
“No, not really!”
Kabocha eyed him with curiosity or perhaps doubt as she couldn’t believe that Cornatto wouldn’t join his old friends after that long.
“Do you mean it? I mean… why?”
Cornatto chuckled and folded his arms over his chest, both his legs crossed as he casually leaned back.
“Well, you see! Natto had invited me in the first place because he had promised me a peaceful and far better settlement than the Empire could have been! I am not saying that the Alliance is bad, but honestly, as of now, it’s not what I had been seeking when I was young and honestly? I don’t think it’s my place! Maybe at the time, I was used to people calling me Major and stuff like that, but there is no way I can do that now. I’m not that kind of warrior; there’s no way around that. I am a Saiyan born on Earth, and that’s about it.”
Kabocha blinked her eyes for a short moment or so, she couldn’t tell what the Alliance was supposed to be. Whatever was left of the Saiyans had soon become nothing more than a faint memory of what they used to be ever since both of the Saiyan planets were destroyed and reduced the Saiyans to be almost extinct.
It was definitely a shame yes, but did it change anything to her father and the female Saiyan herself? Not at all. She had never interacted at all with the Saiyan race, and she couldn’t care less about Saiyan blood or not, she just wanted to have a peaceful life, and thankfully it had been that far, but it didn’t seem like it was going to last for long.
“Are you sure? I wouldn’t mind, I guess… where are they even going?”
Cornatto quirked an eyebrow and smiled thoroughly; he was quite surprised that Kabocha was insisting so much on the subject, after all, it wasn’t like she had ever put too much thought when it came to Saiyans.
“Yeah, I am sure! Why are you even asking so many questions about it? You need to be more laid back! That is also what gets in your way to becoming a Super Saiyan,” - he paused as the man stretched his back forward and let out a sigh of relief.
Kabocha tilted her head in curiosity for a brief moment, evidently not sure as to why her personality would even get in the way; wasn’t it supposed to be about power in the first place? “I-in the way? Why is that?”
“Simple enough! As long as you will restrain your pent-up emotions within yourself, there’s no way you’ll ever be able to unleash them. Does that make sense?”
Kabocha tapped her chin curiously, she had never seen her personality as much in the way of combat. She had fought her father before and whether the fact he was more potent than her or not could be considered one in the form of her ‘winning streak’ which was approximate to zero, she wasn’t that bad at all. Or at least, more powerful than most.
“No, no it doesn’t… I use all my power most of the time.”
Cornatto shook his head. His daughter couldn’t quite understand what he was trying to point out; power and emotion were two different things, and he was sure that she didn’t lack either, but she wasn’t quite capable of expressing them way too well because of her shyness. It was just how she was, but it didn’t mean she was emotionless, everyone could use those sudden bursts of anger to enhance themselves momentarily and achieve a new form in most cases.
“That is not what I meant. What matters is that you can let your emotions take over! It’s not something you can quite control, though, it’s when you’re most in need of it that your emotions come out. Like when you’re frustrated or maybe angry? Something like that!”
Kabocha nodded her head and looked down; how was she going to accomplish any of this? She hadn’t ever needed any power to get stronger than she currently was, not at the moment, or well, maybe she wasn’t just all that determined?
“Dad, how did you become a Super Saiyan again?” - she asked, her gaze lifted up to face the Earthling Saiyan. The latter one blinked and scratched his temple, evidently confused by her question. He had probably told her already some time ago, but he guessed he could just talk about it again if she wanted to know.
“Uhh, well, back when I was a Major in the Alliance, my squad and I traveled to a planet and faced a General of the Saiyan Empire. He wasn’t all that strong, mind you, but at the time he was about twice my power! He was so powerful and threatened my squadmates until I turned into a Super Saiyan out of my frustration.”
The female Saiyan furrowed her brow and looked at the male questioningly; it wasn’t like Cornatto was threatening at all, there was no way the same thing would have worked for her, but at the same time.
Before she could ask any other question, something popped up in both’s minds as they averted their gaze and shifted it towards the enormous source of power that was getting closer any moment that passed.
“This ki… Could it be…?”
Kabocha immediately noticed something was on Cornatto’s mind and instantly bolted right back up, concerned that it could be nothing close to a friendly visit. “Do you know who this is, dad?”
The Earthling Saiyan straightened his back as he got right back up and smiled. “It’s the Hakaishin,” - he paused briefly as he walked up to the window that had been closed earlier. Cornatto knew Cervez back from his days with the Alliance when they had first met and battled. Eventually, Corn had managed to beat the Anubian without too much of an issue as soon as he turned into a Super Saiyan but the energy he was currently sensing was nothing like what the jackal used to feel like years ago.
“H-hakaishin?...”
Outside of the Kame House, the windows suddenly burst open as soon as they were slid off the sill and let the sunlight penetrate straight into the house and reveal the Earthling Saiyan who stood right in front of it until he lifted his foot up to the stool and climbed out of home by the window.
“Oss’! Long time no see, Cervez!”
Kabocha also joined the three out, but quietly as she stepped out of the door and sighed. “You should start using the door, dad…”
The man placed both his hands on his hips as he looked at Cervez and Samael. Cervez had indeed become quite powerful, it was almost impossible to recognize his energy signature, but it still had that same gist that he had felt long ago. He didn’t know who his friend was, but he was strong too!
“What brings you guys here? You’re not here to destroy the planet, right?” - he teased him with a smirk on his face.

Samael stared as the window of the cozy house opened, admitting a strange looking Saiyan that quickly introduced himself to his Lord with a familiarity that bothered a little, yet he made no comment besides raising a judgemental brow. 'This is the person that my Lord spoke so much about? He doesn't look like much.'
For his part, Cervez's expression didn't change much besides the widening of his excited grin as Cornatto appeared in front of him, yet for those that looked closely, they could see how his eye seemed to twitch slightly for reasons unknown. Internally, Cervez couldn't help but shudder at the word the Saiyan used, feeling like it was the omen of something dark and terrifying in the days to come.
'Why do I feel like I'm going to completely and utterly hate that nonsensical word in the near future?' Cervez shoved that thought from the recess of his mind and spread his hands and arms to the side. "Cornatto! It's been a while, hasn't it?" The question was rhetoric since indeed it has been a while, almost a few years to be precise but if someone asked him to put a number to it he couldn't really say how long it has been since they met in Planet Natto.
At the mention of destroying the planet, he couldn't help but remember the conversation he had had with the Guardian of Earth and smirked broadly. "Not yet, this planet is still alive and thriving, but once it's clock reached its end..." He trailed off with an ominious chuckle, only now noticing the extra addition to their conversation. "What's this?" Cervez suddenly phased into existence right beside the girl, looming a bit over her as he looked at her up and down. "Your daughter, I presume?" After all, why would she call Cornatto as her Dad, it wouldn't make any sense, unless there was some sort of wicked thing going on between the two of them?
Cervez wrinkled his nose internally at the mere thought before forcing it from his mind. "She's strong, I can tell just by looking at her." He tilted his head, he also felt like there was an excess of energy hiding deep within her, just waiting to burst out at any moment with the right calling, he smirked again. "Perhaps stronger than you, Samael."
The Demonic Wolf grunted under his breath and looked aside, annoyed at his Lord's teasing tone, his pride slightly hurt at such a statement. 'Bastard, stop trying to rile me up.'
He stopping giving the girl the big-old-eyeball and instead focused back on Cornatto. "What've you been doing since Planet Natto disappeared?"
TAGS: @cornatto OOC NOTES: And the legends, foretold, of the one...
The two Zoanthrope’s visit was appreciated, and while Cornatto hadn’t seen Cervez in a while, it was pretty difficult to forget his looks; it wasn’t like he had seen plenty of people that looked like some overgrown jackal who wore some ancient clothing either. At least, not in the man’s experience. Although they didn’t seem half wrong, they weren’t indeed the Saiyan’s style; he was a lot more into the classic martial arts uniform which had become his way to go ever since he had switched off from a little Saiyan armor he used to have on when he was a baby.
But he found that clothing didn’t quite make any difference; both looked to be quite strong! Especially Cervez. He had already fought him once, back in the days of their meeting on Natto and he seemed to be stronger than ever-- indeed he would have a blast competing him now that the two had just recently met-- like, only now had he ever taken notice of his ki. However, he believed that he had been wandering the planet for a while now or he couldn’t quite figure out what he’d be doing in the whereabouts.
The jackal had greeted Cornatto quite warmly, perhaps a little too excitedly for what he had expected from Cervez but he guessed both could agree on one thing; they were good training partners, despite their colossal power level differences. Their spar wasn’t even that boring, on the contrary, it was also quite entertaining, and the Earthling Saiyan hoped to continue it someday. The Turtle Hermit let a hand rest on his hip and the other he lifted up, in a palm that aimed straight towards the sky in front of his strong body as he replied.
“Yeah, for real! It’s been like… uh, something like twenty years? I don’t even know, hehe. I guess nothing much’s changed ever since then.”
The man could have used that sentence to define anything; from their looks to perhaps the overall situation. It didn’t seem like much had changed within the two’s lives or did it? After all, Cornatto did become a father, not to mention the fact that Cervez himself had brought along a friend, not one he recalled but then again, perhaps they had been friends for that long, and they only hadn’t met each other back then. It could have been anything.
The man let his other hand fall to his hip as he returned the creature of destruction’s chuckle with an amused expression. “Hehe! If you say so! But don’t you think I’d let that happen so easily, you will have to beat me before you can lay a finger on this planet,” - he said, both his fists closed in, his knuckles placed against his hips in a proud stance as the man showed off a playful grin. Soon enough, though, his grin faded off and his gaze turned around as he acknowledged Kabocha’s statement for a brief moment and let out an innocent giggle. “Sorry, sorry! But like, it’s not like that it matters that much!”
Kabocha sighed again and rubbed the back of her neck. “It does…”
The Kamesennin shrugged and shifted his gaze back at Cervez, whom in the meanwhile questioned Kabocha’s identity; it was true that both looked young and perhaps could be mistaken to be of the same age, but Cornatto was about double her age! Not to mention the fact, wicked things rarely mattered in Corn’s head; he could recognize an example of that if he saw one, but it wasn’t important at all. “Yeah! She’s Kabocha,” - said the man and pointed his thumb behind his back, aimed at the female Saiyan. In turn, Kabocha placed a hand on her arm and shyly lowered her gaze, not to look at the two newcomers straight in the eyes.
“U-uhm…”
Kabocha nervously tried to muster up a few words, but she wasn’t even that good with strangers, so she did nothing more than just struggling also just to say hi, all the while Cornatto awkwardly stared at Cervez. He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Haha… She’s a little shy as you can see but hey, no one’s perfect I guess. Not sure from who she took that from, though.”
Kabocha had always found interactions with strangers to be difficult, and she looked to lack the slightest of confidence within herself at first glimpse. But she was indeed quite strong just like Cervez had pointed out; she had raw, potential power that was only waiting for her to unleash it and thus for her to become a Super Saiyan. So far, it had brought them no results, but he knew that she had it within her; she was his daughter after all!
“S-s-stronger? Uhm… well, t-thank you!”
Cornatto chuckled once more in return to her daughter’s polite and timid response before he let out a faint sigh and nodded his head. “Yeah, I’m proud of her. Maybe not like in the Saiyan Pride way but hey! She’s stronger than I was her age, man, good times! That day I think we destroyed a pair of mountains and apparently some people had picked up our battle too,” - the man said as he glanced at Cervez, with only faint memories of their match. It had been a long time ago, but Corn would surely remember such a fun battle, although it was the moment he turned into a Super Saiyan.
The man’s cheerful expression softened a bit, nostalgically as the Anubian mentioned Planet Natto. “I have come back on my homeworld with my daughter, and I met a good friend over here! He’s an old fella, but he’s pretty strong, too. He taught me the Turtle School, and now he calls me the Kamesennin! Crazy, right? I had gotten soft, but now I am stronger than ever, and I am not stopping here,” - said the Turtle Hermit and in a short moment, the look in his eyes changed a bit to one with a slight hint of tension and perhaps frustration. “Before Planet Natto exploded, I had been gone off-world and far away from the planet for a while already, though.”
His tone changed once more to one of carelessness in a matter of seconds-- your typical happy-go-lucky Saiyan. “But yeah! What have you been up to, bud?”

"Twenty years..." Cervez muttered to himself, having made an estimate before with Samael back at his home, but having it laid out before him made him truly aware how much time had passed since he came to this quaint little rock in nowhere space. Much had happened in those years, even though he had been asleep for some of the more important events; his energy sensing abilities still felt the ripple of them through the galaxy. He tilted his head slightly to the side, like a Dog finding something quite peculiar. It was true that their appearance hadn't changed at all if any considering an Anubian could live for thousands of years and Saiyans were known for their longevity and youthful appearance until they hit old age, by that point, their bodies would finally catch up with their age and rapidly decay.
Even so, a Saiyan's will to fight and get stronger wouldn't be stopped by something as simple as old age, doubly so for those with a penchant to surpass their limits at every turn.
Shaken from his musing, the Anubian settled his gaze back on Cornatto and merely smirked at his statement though he couldn't stop the amused chuckle that soon followed. Indeed, he was sure that someone, at some point in the near future, would probably attempt to stop him from carrying on his duties, and he'll be ready to meet them head on and have quite the battle to be remembered for ages to come. 'Perhaps, once that time comes, I'll finally have my true power back...' He thought longingly but soon pushed that thought to the back of his mind.
While Cornatto didn't seem keen on explaining what a Hakaishin was to his daughter, potentially to keep her in the dark and protect her from him in some way, he was ready to talk about her prowess in her power level, even mentioning the fight that they had twenty years ago. "I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't wake the whole planet, we weren't exactly subtle or silent." He shrugged his shoulders. "I'm just glad we managed to get our battle until the end with no interruptions. A few times I thought that the King of Natto would have come to see what the fuzz was about, but nothing happened."
Samael hung back, observing with a keen eye how the two of them seemed to interact with one another, almost like old friends by the looks of it. He wondered what had happened back on Planet Natto to make his Lord seem so jovial in the presence of this Saiyan. A stray thought wormed its way inside his mind, and the Demonic Wolfman blinked in surprise at it. 'Perhaps... my Lord has finally found a rival?' It sounded logical, no doubt his Lord would want someone that could keep up with him and offer him a good challenge and also a stepping stone to ascend should they surpass him later on.
He chooses to keep quiet and continue his observation, just in time as Cornatto mentioned that he was now the new Kamesennin! Cervez's eyes widened briefly at such a claim before they closed, an amused smile gracing his lips as he chuckled lowly to himself. "So you're the new Kamesennin, eh?" He stated more than asked, his eyes opening again, purple orbs staring straight at Cornatto with a scrutinizing gaze. He honestly didn't care what Cornatto did while he was off-world, simply because it wasn't his place to ask nor he wanted to intrude to what seemed like quite the personal task it seemed to have been, judging by Cornatto sudden shift in mood when he said that.
Instead, he spread his arms outward with a feral grin. "Well then, you're looking at the Tsurusen'nin. Talk about a small world, eh?" His hand went back to his back, hands locking into fists and pressing against each other in the middle of his back, just slightly above his waist and tail. "Besides that, I've made some acquaintances here and there, like the Kami of Earth for instance. Which brings us to my reason for coming here, besides finally finding you were here all along of course."
He shrugged with one shoulder before getting serious. "Said reason is simple: I've come here to settle the score from last time." There was more to it than just that, in fact, but he didn't want to put all his cards on the table just yet. He wanted to see Corn's reaction to his demand on a rematch, then from there, he'd reveal more to the Earthling Saiyan.
Seeing that a battle was about to take place, Samael moved until he stood apart and away from the Saiyan and the Anubian to give them some space, knowing that should Cornatto accept his Lord's request they'd soon be fighting all over this tiny island and its surrounding area with great vigor and fighting spirit, and he didn't want to get in between them should their powers start to clash with each other.
Instead, he settled his gaze on the one closest to him, which just so happened to be Corn's daughter; Kabocha. "He was telling the truth, you know?" His growly tone would probably draw Kabocha's attention since he was addressing her. "While my energy sensing ability isn't perfect, I can feel a swell of energy within you, waiting to be let out." A friendly if wolfish grin spread across his muzzle. "Who knows, perhaps you'll unlock it soon if you keep training."
TAGS: @cornatto OOC NOTES: And the legends, foretold, of the one...
It had quite been a lot of time, he didn’t quite remember if they were actually twenty but either way, the two hadn’t seen each other for a while. Not to mention the fact that both hadn’t changed the slightest, or did they? His memories of Cervez weren’t blurry, but he didn’t know him completely quite yet, especially when it came to his personality. He didn’t quite remember every single bit, but he sure couldn’t forget their battle. That one was pretty fun and also one that he wouldn’t have forgotten that easily, given the fact that they had literally done a huge show of martial arts and fancy blasts.
The Earthling Saiyan chuckled and offered a smirk to the fellow martial artist, he was evidently still delighted by the fact that he called Natto as the ‘King’, it didn’t actually matter but having been on the end of fighting the Empire and the fact that he actually knew the difference made it hard for Corn not to giggle at how he addressed the old Overseer. “Hehe, didn’t I already say that Natto was no King? And, even if he came, I believe he would have just joined the battle! I am not sure if you met him, but we were a lot alike! Even our names are, haha!”
Either way, though, Cervez ended up losing and had to be taken to a medical machine, and after that, no further interactions happened between the two.
“But man, to think that he’s got this strong! It’s amazing. I don’t think I can match his power at all even in my Super Saiyan form-- hehe!”
The man’s thoughts filled his head with excitement and wonder as to just how strong Cervez could get; he wanted a jab at him, and there was deny that the Anubian had also wished for a rematch. He didn’t know much about his race, but he sure knew that Cervez could be just as competitive as a Saiyan, only they were a lot more into that godly stuff of theirs. He didn’t get what to be a god meant either way, but they were supposedly even a bigger deal than Kami-sama too.
It was kind of hilarious given their current situations; one had become the Turtle Hermit and the other had become the Crane Hermit and perhaps the average person would think nothing of it aside from the fact that both titles had the word ‘Hermit’ in it, but it was a far different situation than what it seemed like. Both the Turtle and Crane schools had been rivals and even enemies for years. For the two rivals to be in such positions was perhaps more than a coincidence or just a case like any other.
The man nodded in approval once more. “Yeah! I am the Kamisennin indeed. Y’know something about it?” - he asked curiously as Cervez was fairly amused, as if he actually knew what the Turtle Hermit was and perhaps it wasn’t such an impossible thing given the fact that Cervez might have been on Earth in the past. The Turtle Hermit eyed the fellow martial artist curiously as he watched him spread his arms wide and then introduce himself as the Tsurusennin, leaving Corn to stare blankly for a few moments before he just giggled. Did this guy just confirm the fact that they were supposed to be rivals, too? In a certain way, after all, their schools had never gotten along that much, and in a certain sense, they had to be opponents. But they didn't have to, of course, with dread, but perhaps in a competitive way similar to how Saiyans dealt with rivalry but they weren't both Saiyans, after all. Although Cervez possessed an incredible fighting spirit.
“Hahaha! Really? Man, feels like someone did it on purpose. I didn’t even know the Cranes were still going! I am fairly new to this stuff but the old man told me a few things about this stuff and apparently, we used to be enemies!”
The Anubian then proceeded to hint as to how he had met the Kami-sama of this planet-- something which Cornatto had to arrange one day or another and later said that he had come here for one reason in particular. “Huh? What’s up with that?”
Cervez’s hesitation lasted until he got serious and shrugged his shoulder, finally having revealed the reason for having reached out to Cornatto; to settle the score. There, Cornatto returned a smirk as he stared at him. “So, you’ve finally decided to fight me, huh,” - he said and immediately switched to his fighting stance as he unleashed his Super Saiyan transformation and switched to his fighting stance.
[Super Saiyan Full Power [x16] | Power Level: 4.293.648]
The Earthling Saiyan stared at him as he looked at him with firm, stern eyes-- but a warrior’s smirk over his face. He was trying to find a weakness or anything, because honestly? It was going to be a tough battle this time, for sure.
In the meanwhile, Kabocha watched and quite worriedly as she backed away together with Samael who decided to make a little comment about Cervez’s statement. The female Saiyan quirked an eyebrow and stuttered to say a word, that’s just what her father always told her, but she had also been unable to transform that easily. “U-uhm, well… thanks but I can’t ever let it out.”
Kabocha hadn’t ever been able to even feel the Super Saiyan power and it was indeed a concern for her, and probably for her dad too. But she didn’t want to indeed be a pull over for her father that had always raised her ever so carefully for her safety, but at the same time, she couldn’t even be as strong as he was, why was that? She couldn’t understand that at all…
But on the other side, it seemed that the battle was honestly about to enrage as Cornatto stared off with Cervez for more than just a few moments and let his grip over his stance only tighten as he felt sweat drip down his temple. It was indeed a fantastic feeling to have someone more powerful than yourself right in front of you. Both ready to fight and arm yourself with all the power you could muster up at the moment-- it was just a feeling that got to the Saiyan everytime that for his eyes to see someone so strong and that powerful-- and it was just a pleasant feeling!
Maybe one would say it was only overdoing it to feel so incredible just to stare off with someone powerful, but honestly, did they even know what they were talking about? To fight an opponent on the next level and to improve yourself, it was a whole new feeling than just a normal battle. Corn wasn’t one to better himself so that he could dominate, all of his effort, every single last bit was focused onto getting stronger so that he could surpass his limits and reach a new level. It was weird, for someone to have such a difficult task not to even have a purpose but that was just how Cornatto was and he wasn’t going to change anytime soon.
He was glad that he had managed to meet amazing people such as Cervez before and now he was only going to give him all his best!
With an all mighty force of power, the man drew his arms back pretty quickly and let his hands slightly fold one on top of another with a little space left between each palm. Between both hands, a small orb of energy suddenly flared before its size increased at an amazing and quick pace and became a bright, blue sphere of ki that charged within his grasp. The man widened his eyes as he launched his hands forth, both palms aimed at the Anubian as he unleashed a powerful wave of brilliant, blue energy at Cervez.
“HAAAAAHHHHH!!”
The man had just used one of his signature attacks; the Kamehameha! It wasn’t all that powerful given what he could actually pour into his attacks but the matter itself was that Cervez wasn’t one to underestimate and that he was only going to give him his best given the fact that he could just open up a fight in very few ways and try to pull a trick over Cervez would have been almost useless given how powerful his aura was and the matter itself that he was the Crane Hermit made him a dangerous enemy.

The Anubian gave the Saiyan Warrior a deadpan look before sarcastically remarking in a low tone. "Yeah, I can see that. It seems Saiyans don't really have much originality in their name of choice, do they?" The words carried no heat, merely teasing but for a proud Saiyan it would drive them insane considering their foolish pride. Thankfully Cornatto wasn't such a Saiyan like the ones he had met in the distant past, otherwise, he'd not enjoy the man's company as much as he did.
At the mention of being enemies in some form, the Anubian couldn't help the amused chuckle that escaped him. "Indeed we were. From the scrolls I managed to find in the temple, it seemed the two schools had quite the rivalry between each other before their new Masters but the past behind them and became friends." The names were almost completely blurred from the scrolls, all he managed to get from it were some initials, like Go- and Tie- but the rest was completely illegible.
In the end, he didn't give it much thought, it was something that didn't really concerned him anymore, it was a relic of the past and he lived in the present...
Then again...
'Considering we seem to find each other like this and ready to battle each other, had things changed much if at all between the Crane and Turtle School?' The past has a funny way of repeating itself over and over until the cycle it is broken, after all, at least their "rivalry" wasn't as toxic as it was from their predecessors. But he shouldn't worry about such drivel right now, not when Cornatto was powering up in front of him to start their duel.
Watching the golden flames lick at the man's shoulder and then burst over his hair, Cervez couldn't help the widening smirk that breached his muzzle as the man's power washed over him. They were almost evenly matched, which pleased him greatly considering back then he couldn't hold his own against the Super Saiyan. Though there was a small gap that separated their true potential, putting him at the clear-cut victor in sheer power alone, however that won't make him doubt his opponent's ability or skill in the slightest.
With fast reflexes, Cornatto was the first to make his move as he brought his hands to his side, gathered energy for a few seconds before unleashing a bright blue energy wave at him. From the scrolls he had read, it seemed he had used the Turtle School signature energy wave technique: The Kamehameha. Feeling like he should reciprocate in kind, the Anubian languidly lifted his arm and brought it forth, his index finger extended as a small flicker of energy shimmered across his fingertip.
With an intone of "Dodon-Pa", the Anubian shot the superheated yellow beam of energy from his fingertip, the thin but powerful finger-beam sailing to met its nemesis. The two energy beams met in the middle with a small boom of displaced air and power, the two battling each other for dominance for a brief moment, making the two combatants reach an impasse.
But then, Cervez's finger-beam began to push forward, making the Kamehameha stutter back in response. With a slight narrow of his eyes, Cervez willed the finger-beam to exert more pressure upon the Kamehameha, and finally, there was a give as his Dodon Ray suddenly cleaved through it and started racing towards Cornatto's location, but with much less power than it previously had in it.
Cervez wasn't a fool, he knew that he and Cornatto were merely sizing each other up before the real battle could begin, and he was fine with that. No need to bring out all the big guns and make this a short battle. He wanted to enjoy himself for as long as he could before they had to start beating the crap out of each other.

Cervez fired an [OT-1] Dodon Ray for 1,469,069 of his PL.
Cornatto couldn’t help but actually chuckle at Cervez’s comment— He was right! Most Saiyans were named after vegetables and it was even true that at a certain point, Corn had indeed questioned the need to give himself an earthling name, perhaps to better bend with the humans but it seemed to be unnecessary as he slowly built up a nice relationship with the planet and its inhabitants. Although, it was true that many other people didn’t exactly know him either.
“I mean, maybe that’s right, hehe! But well, names don’t usually matter anyway. Saiyans are usually after, y’know, brute strength and whatever,” - said the man before he had switched into his fighting stance, although he had to say that he also shared that interest, he also sought more than just a little bit of muscle. “Though, you may agree there are Saiyans bigger than me who couldn’t even lay a finger on me, haha!”
As the man’s fists enclosed and he powered up to his enhanced form, the legendary warrior of the Saiyan race, he couldn’t help but add to his speech a little more than just his antics on his previous encounters. “There is a lot more to power than what some kids believe—! Strength, speed, resistance and more. Training only one part of the body is pretty much useless, then again, some are just huge because that’s the way they are! Kinda like ya’.”
The martial artist smirked slightly at the mention of their schools’ past rivalry but silently nodded. “Yeah, uh… I don’t know about the Crane Hermit but I am pretty sure you are talking about Son Goku! Hehe, that guy was amazing! But I think it’s been pretty chill since then.”
The Earthling Saiyan then proceeded to quickly charge up a move as he had cupped his hands to the sides and then quickly launched them forward. A bright, blue wave extended straightforwardly towards Cervez as the Turtle Hermit had unleashed his school’s signature move and most powerful attack; the Kamehameha! A blue ki wave that would focus all the energy in one single point before exploding in the entirety of its power against their opponent. It wasn’t supposed to be lethal but it could certainly be a hard blow to take on, but despite that, Cervez didn’t seem to falter and returned with an attack of his own. The Dodonpa. On the other hand, the Dodonpa was a technique known to be mostly used by the Crane Hermit— but not even Cornatto knew too much about the Crane School.
Honestly, all he knew was indeed that there had been a big rivalry between the two schools although it seemed to have dissipated somewhere between four or five generations ago. He couldn’t quite remember himself, honestly, but all he knew was that there had to be some amazing people at the time, but he was also curious to know more about them; too bad he couldn’t actually muster up too much information other than the famous names of the Turtle School.
He did mention Son Goku, though, it was one of the names that really made themselves noteworthy among all and it sounded cool too! One of them was also Muten Roshi, of course. One of the few humans that had managed to rival and surpass any other Earthling that lived back in the days, it was a feat that Corn had managed to see a few times in his life but not many humans would ever retain their will to fight and train in their life. It was mostly their instinct to protect something or someone, which was a sensation that Cornatto had also shared. Normally, Saiyans weren’t probably known for showing off such human, sentimental traits. But they did also possess them.
For Cornatto, they were only stronger and benevolent than most Saiyans because of his Earthling origins that had shaped him into a man who was born and raised on Earth. The martial artist could only say that he respected that willpower of the humans, truly. The Turtle Hermit himself shared those feelings, ever since he was a kid and had made his first attachments and friends that he had also learned the true meaning beneath what once felt like only a feeble idea of friendship, which he shaped in his mind slowly as something that ran beside him.
It was really amazing just how much the Earthlings had done in the past and he sought to uphold those ideals and teachings on his behalf, but he wouldn’t forget his Saiyan self either. That was who Cornatto really was; he was a Saiyan born on Earth, who had awakened his peaceful heart into the one of legends— the Super Saiyan! Only through anger but a kind heart such transformation was made possible, but also his battle power that had risen beyond the average Saiyan warrior back in the days of his relationship with the Alliance.
Cervez had seemingly found a liking to the Earthling schools, too, apparently. The Anubian had just shown him quite a mastery of the Crane School and Corn could only wonder just how strong the wolfman had actually gotten— or well, he was about to find out! The clash between the Kamehameha and the Dodonpa didn’t actually last too long, mostly because Corn decided not to waste further energy on such a useless struggle and thus, both attacks exploded but caused most of the damage to Cornatto whom quickly guarded himself against the debris and force that was directed in his way.
Quickly though, from all the smoke and debris, a huge hole quickly gaped and left enough space for the man’s muscular form to fit as the Earthling Saiyan quickly responded; he had flown off the ground and charged towards the Anubian with a tightened, brilliant fist that he aimed to hit Cervez with, if it had not been for his path to shift as he quickly diverted his path and flew in circle around the Anubian as he pulled his leg back and came behind him, trying to land a solid kick with tip of his shoe on the Destroyer’s back.
Kabocha watched with wide eyes as she couldn’t tell just how the match would have ended. Normally, she would have rooted for her father but she could sense the Anubian’s ki clearly enough for her to tell that his power was beyond anything she had yet to sense for the moment and unless her father was to pull an amazing stunt and perhaps power up furthermore, it would have been difficult for him to win such a battle. However, she was also aware that Cornatto couldn’t quite use all of his school’s teachings— such as the Kienzan. Most certainly, such a technique could be what would have made the difference but it was obvious that if the Kienzan were to overcome any of Cervez’s defenses, he would have found himself either dead or limbless.
The Saiyan female knew her father, she knew that he would never want to do something like that to a friend— or anyone else, really. He wasn’t the ruthless Saiyan male that would just go out and say this, that and then cause havoc. His daughter knew the man all too well, obviously, but in that case, his kindness would have likely cost the Saiyan anything close to victory if that was something he could still hope to achieve, after all.
The female curiously looked at Samael. “Who’s your friend anyway?... Is he, uhm, is he evil? He doesn’t look the part of the good guy, after all, uhm— I mean, sorry!”
